Headcanon that Mav was the one to teach Bradley to swim and he did in the most dad way he could -- just threw him into the water and told him to swim back to the shore

I also bet that Carole would laugh while Ice would trip over his feet to get to Bradley before he drowns

Bradley is also absolutely traumatised for years but when his and Jake's kids learn to swim and keep on Not Listening when he tries to teach them, he does the same thing --- just throws them in the deeper water and tells them to swim back to him or Jake

Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw has always known how to fight. He can take a hit and keep on coming. But when he's slowly drawn into the dark side of fighting after a successful, yet expensive, cancer treatment saved his Mother's life, he started to realize he might not always be able to stand back up. Not when his life is dependent on the whims of his Boss, a man he can't help but he drawn to even knowing what he's capable of. Jake Seresin was born into this world, and his rise to King was paved with the blood of anyone who dared to stumble in his path. Charming, outgoing and a smile that's real enough people forget the blood on his hands, he's even more dangerous than people realize. He'll stop at nothing to stay at the top, and he'll sacrifice whatever pawn he needs to in order to do it. The first time he saw Rooster fight he knew he had his next champion. At least until his champion is worth more to him dead than alive according to the books. But the problem is, as the more he gets to know Rooster, the more he becomes Bradley and more he begins to wonder if he'll be capable of doing what needs to be done. And the closer he gets to Rooster, the more people start to realize Jake Seresin might have a weak spot. And Jake just can't have that.

He traced patterns over Bradley's skin in the soft morning light. He kissed a constellation of freckles on his shoulder and his fingers wandered in the direction they always did. Spooning Bradley like this, it was so easy, so natural for his fingers to glide along the tattoo on his ribs. It was a beautiful piece of art, and Jake let his fingers travel slowly over the graceful figures of two geese in flight. He'd done it so many times before that he didn't expect anything except for Bradley to grumble at him softly on waking and grab his hand to pull him over for a kiss, but today, Bradley's hand just rested on his, arresting it's movement. Jake's breath caught, and he waited, listening to the changes in Bradley's breathing.

After a quiet eternity, Bradley breathed in deeply and started speaking softly.

"My mother had a tattoo like this."

Jake didn't interrupt, but he stilled entirely, afraid that if he moved, Bradley would startle and stop talking. He'd never said much about his mother besides that she had died, and Jake could tell this was important.

"It was on her left shoulder, behind her heart. Every time we went to the beach, she would ask me to put sunscreen on her back and she would tell me about him, about Goose, my father. She told me how he'd loved to fly, how he'd loved to laugh, how he'd loved to sing, how he'd loved us so, so much. Sometimes she'd smile at the stories she told me, and sometimes she'd cry, and sometimes she'd hold me tight until I whined for her to let me go play. It was her first tattoo, and she said that she liked that even though she couldn't see it, she always knew it was there."

Bradley paused, and Jake linked their fingers together over his tattoo, trying to silently give him support.

"She started tattooing when I was 5 or 6, I think. Said she liked meeting all sorts of people and learning what kinds of things they wanted on their bodies permanently. By the time I was a teenager, her arms were full of color, full of the art her friends did for her. She said she liked carrying the people she loved with her everywhere where people could see it." Bradley huffed a small laugh that could've been mistaken for a sob. "She got so angry when I let one of my friends give me a shitty poke tattoo when I was 15. She put all my allowance for months towards the cost of ink to do a proper cover up for me. That's the swallow on my wrist. When she was diagnosed with cancer--"

Jake couldn't help the small noise he made at that, and Bradley just squeezed his hand before continuing.

"When she was diagnosed, she told me she wanted her last tattoo to be one for me, and I asked her for a goose of my own. She gave me two, one for her and one for Dad. She said she'd always wanted to fly with him. It wasn't until after the funeral that I realized she'd put them where my hand always went when I hugged myself."

  "What?"

  "Marry me..." Jake repeats, happiness and joy dripping from every pore of his body, his body sliding against Bradley's. "We love each other, why shouldn't we get married?"

  "Uh... cause I'm already married?" Bradley states.

It stops him cold.

Ice in his veins.

Happiness and joy immediately turned to feelings of betrayal and hurt.

Years after Jake and Bradley are married and promoted beyond flying, Jake’s eyesight starts slowly worsening. Naturally, he denies it, lying to Bradley and saying he can see just fine. No, he wasn’t squinting to read that sign, the sun was in his eyes, that’s all.

Bradley, knowing his husband inside and out, knows he’s lying, so he simply shakes his head fondly at Jake’s antics. However, he makes a mental note to schedule and appointment at the eye doctor.

Getting his husband to go to the appointment is like pulling teeth, but once he does, it’s official. Jake needs glasses.

He spends over an hour trying on different styles, hating all of them. Bradley loves almost every pair, thinking each one makes Jake look cuter and cuter. He watches as Jake moves between pairs, fussing over which one he wants to get. Jake doesn’t even like the ones he ends up choosing, but they were the best option he could find.

Bradley loves the pair that he picked. They’re simple, black frames with larger, rectangular lenses that highlight Jake’s cheekbones. He didn’t think Jake could get any cuter, but the pouty face he has plastered on along with the glasses make Bradley’s heart flutter like it did years ago when he was crushing on him.

When Jake looks the cutest, though is in the evenings. Whether it’s reading, watching TV, getting work done on his laptop, or just cuddling on the couch he looks absolutely adorable. It has Bradley falling in love with Jake all over again.

So, yeah, Jake hates his glasses, but the extra attention he gets from his husband just might make it all worthwhile.

Hangster/sereshaw twisters au where

Jake didn’t end up flying for the navy but instead is seeking his adventure with the tornados (I’ll let you fill in his past <3)

He is known as the Tornado Wrangler because he simply Wrangles Tornadoes. And yes, he is that good.

Bradley meets Jake after quitting the navy after The Mission, the scare was a bit too great for him and he wants a bit more safety and stability.

He goes back to Virginia to his roots and gets sucked in the world of tornado taming after encountering a tornado and Jake is there to help.

First he can’t stand the man, but then he looks up his youtube and finds out he actually donates the money.

Jake still annoys him to no end but likes him more and more.

Then obviously he joins Jake in tornado wrangling, finds anything but safety and stability, Mav can’t say shit bc he’s as much of an adrenaline junkie, and Jake and Bradley fall in love after saving each other when a nasty tornado hits.

OR

After Bradley’s mom dies Mav actually talks and relays his moms wishes like an actual adult (ice definitively helped).

Bradley is upset because it feels like betrayal but ultimately understands and goes to college.

He misses the weather from Virginia, thinks cali weather is too boring and goes to study meteorology.

There he specialises in tornadoes (is that a thing you can do??) and eventually joins a tornado hunting team, once again meeting Jake.

They’re rivals now and Bradley disapproves of Jakes methods but ultimately they need each others help.

They team up and idk save the town and once again fall in love.

OR

Bradley has become a journalist travelling all over the country to report on disastrous weather.

He’s always been fascinated with tornadoes and asks to join a storm chaser to write an in-depth article.

He contacts one Jake ‘Tornado Wrangler’ Seresin, knows he has a prominent YouTube channel but doesn’t watch any of the videos or live streams.

(He really really regrets not watching it).

He quietly (and later loudly) thinks Jake is absolutely insane as he drives into a tornado with his hijacked tornado-wrangler-car and shoots fireworks into a raging tornado.

Apparently, because his fans asked if it was possible.

Bradley follows Jake doing more impossible-but-possible stunts and figures out along the way that Jake is generous (he donates the money from his YouTube channel to help people affected by tornadoes) and smart (he actually studied meteorology in college and uses very up to date science to locate and categorise tornadoes)

then of course something has to go wrong bc how would we create tension otherwise???

and Bradley realises Jake has become important to him and switches to full time tornado reporting, joins Jakes crew and falls in love with him.

Not in that exact order.

(Jake of course loves him back, and has absolutely the time of his life doing wack ass stunts and scaring Bradley in the process)

Something more like the actual movie [SPOILERS]

where Goose wasn’t a navy pilot. He and Carole stay in Virginia (or Tennessee bc that’s where Goose is from)

((wait how did we accept Virginia as the state where rooster’s from? Is it bc he studied there????))

Bradley has a fascination with tornadoes from since he was young, goes to study meteorology and proposes a phd study to dissolve tornadoes after directly experiencing how it devastates cities and peoples lives.

Then one day he goes after a tornado with his friends (maybe some ppl from the daggers? Or whole new people) to try to dissolve it but his calculations are wrong and the tornado turns out much more dangerous, things go to shit and he loses three close friends.

Years later he is looked up by the other surviving friend in New York, where he works now at a weather station.

His friend convinces him to ride with his company after showing some cool new gadgets.

When following the tornadoes he meets Jake, who seemly is nothing but an adrenaline junkie who profits from mindless fans and people whose lives are ruined by the tornadoes.

Finding out his old friends company is the one preying on the people, he joins Jake (who turns out the opposite of what he thought of him. Tho he’s still annoying and wants to punch his face) and they try to revive Bradley’s phd project.

Jake fell in love the moment he saw Bradley, Bradley falls in love after the two of them successfully dissolve a tornado and save the town.

OR

From jakes pov where he’s always been obsessed with storms and weather patterns, studies meteorology, desperately wants to help people but doesn’t know how to do that with just tracking and collecting data.

Eventually makes a YouTube channel with some good people he met along the years, and using that money to buy food or make shelters.

He inevitably meets Bradley, is instantly enamoured with the (presumed) city boy who actually seems to know what he’s doing.

He can’t help but start teasing him and does his best to end up where Bradley ends up.

His team doesn’t know how to deal with it, why is Jake so distracted by this new guy????

Bradley resists his charm but eventually gets worn down.

They save each other when one day, the storm chasing turns out for the worst and Bradley falls in love with this very capable but also Stupid man, but is still hesitant.

Then Bradley has to go back to New York, and they are both too stuck on their perches and don’t say anything when Bradley has to leave.

Then one of Jakes friends is like seriously dude??? And Jake gets his shit together and runs after Bradley to declare his love before the plane leaves <3333

OR

Another one I just thought of where they both meet at college, in undergrad or at the phd programme.

Both vying for funds for their project.

They split ways after Bradley’s disastrous experiment. Bradley quitting and moving to New York. Jake ending up with the funds.

And meeting years later when Jake has become the Tornado Wrangler.

And yes once again they fall in love somewhere along the way!!!

And Bradley (slightly less) secretly finds the whole cowboy hat, leather boots, flannel shirts and huge belt buckle getup hot, maybe even the hottest Jake can look
