soukoku's brand of trust where it's so not obvious yet painfully clear to everyone at the same time.
like at first everyone in the cast might see them and actually buy how much they hate each other but one mission later they're convinced skk can read each other's minds and are so intuned with one another they can find each other deaf, dumb and blind.
chuuya will let himself be swept up in a flood and be played at the side of a madman, knowing dazai has a plan, that he'll make sure they both oull through. dazai will sit and keep an unwavering stare down the barrel of a gun and let his partner fire it into his skull, with all the confidence that chuuya will not let him die.
and everyone thinks there's no blind faith because there's only deeply familiar trust; they know every part of each other, they understand each other, they can pinpoint the ins and outs of their partner's thoughts and feelings, they know how to read each other, know what makes them tick. and so everyone else in their lives thinks their trust is the trust between two halves of a single soul that is familiar with the other enough to place their lives in a rival's hands.
what they don't see is what goes even further, where they wordlessly bare to each other the parts that aren't known. chuuya will surrender his soul to unleash a being of calamity with only the belief that dazai will bring him back, save his life, stop him from razing the world to the ground.
dazai will reach out his hand to a boy he barely knows with solid faith that they will beat this enemy together, he will openly laugh until he's teary-eyed, express his worries, and his blatant shock, share his musings out loud without a facade of an all-knowing genius who doesn't struggle to understand his foes.
i don't even know where i was going with this but they make me INSANE
Does anyone have fun headcanons for some random events that happened at Camp Jupiter during the time of the Titan war? Because we know next to nothing about the Romans but I refuse to believe they didn't have any crazy weird events and quests.
Like, if the Seven were to talk about the time before HoO (or generally any Romans and Greeks) and Percy and Annabeth would go like "Oh and we went through the sea of monsters and ended up on Circe's Island that one time" or "and that's how Percy showed up to his own funeral", sure, that would be a crazy story. But Jason also defeated a Titan on his own and Reyna only ever went to CJ After Percy and Annabeth were at Circe's island, what was the crazy stuff that happened in between?
Also what did the Romans think Caused the Titan War since they obviously couldn't have known it was Luke?
I wanted to do a Venture Bros. Screenshot redraw :) this is from S4E8! (I referenced multiple frames when making this so I just picked the one closest to the final drawing.)
“Average portal to hell requires human sacrifice” actually statistical error. Fenton Works, who’s killed 2 people in portal related accidents and the only ones to make an artificial portal to hell,
The worst thing is Cellbit being back is not gonna fix anything, It's just gonna numb his pain and he's gonna ignore it to focus on whatever Cellbit needs (not Cellbit's fault)
He never fully processed his grief for Bobby, he never had time cause Cellbit started the regret arc the next day after he woke up and all his focus went into that, and while I repeat this is not Cellbit fault, Roier does have this unhealthy habit of leaving everything for Cellbit, even himself
And even if when Cellbit comes back there's nothing going on with him and Roier doesn't feel the need to push his feelings and stuff aside for him (which let's be honest it's not gonna happen cause it's Cellbit and he is gonna rp the hell out of this, king shit)
Roier is not suddenly gonna feel happy and is going to fix his relationship with Pepito cause the trauma is still gonna be there, his feelings of abandonment are still gonna be there, his fear of attachment is still gonna be there, the fact that Cellbit decided to stay is still gonna be there, the body of his death son is still gonna be there, the feeling that he is a family destroyer is still gonna be there.
Contrary to popular belief love doesn't fix everything, now Cellbit does make Roier happy and having him back will probably be a good thing for his spirit, but the problems Roier feels are not because of Cellbit, him disappearing only made it worst, but they are problems that have been there since the second week of the island and they are feelings Roier can't push inside anymore, they are coming out unfortunately at the sacrifice of a child who definitely doesn't deserve it. This are not Cellbit problems, this are Roier problems and only Roier can fix them
working my way through tma for the first time while tmagp is actively airing is the funniest experience ever. Like, I saw that the most recent episode is called “marked”, and I thought “oh, that must be like what Gerard mentioned in Mag 48.” But then I realized that there are 138 episodes I have yet to listen to, and that it’s probably referring to some sort of fucked up weirdo with evil markers who I know nothing about, but everyone else has been familiar with for the longest time.
it’s just. i’m really scared to learn what you people mean when you mention pipe murder one day.
Hawke said one (1) time, to Anders about Bethany, “she’s not the best healer but she’s good in a pinch,” and it immediately became a running gag between Bethany and Anders
any time Bethany would heal someone one of them would say “sorry, she’s/I’m not the best healer” and the other would call back “hey now, I’m/you’re pretty good in a pinch!”
Hawke has to use a skill (lock picking, diplomacy, cooking) they’re not an expert at? “Wow Hawke, you’re not the best at this huh?” “hey but they’re good in a pinch!”
and then of course this comes to a head sometime when Anders is like grievously injured and Bethany manages to heal him to barely conscious, and she’s visibly upset and crying a little and Anders like groans or makes a pained face and she “I’m sorry, I did the best I could, I’m not as good a healer as you” and he responds weakly “it’s okay … you’re pretty good in a pinch” and it’s weird and heartwarming and the WORST part is hawke isn’t even there to witness his sister and his boyfriend being genuine besties and not just at his expense
