Flanker is the boyflop ever. He tries to kill you for practice. When it goes wrong and you help he puts himself in debt to you and he could’ve avoided this BECAUSE HE TRIED TO KILL YOU FOR PRACTICE. He makes up an arbitrary rule set surrounding his debt to you despite all willingness on your part to have a normal friendship. You say shit like “hey buddy” to him and he says “I will kill you.” He decides to gamble for his life debt to you even though you offer not to. He decides he’s out of your debt on the weirdest whims and thus is presumably making every effort to get out of it but also doesn’t just like. Kill you or something. He tells you you’re not friends. Then he gives you his only known weapon. He’s like a cat that really likes you but doesn’t want anyone to know. He was hanging out face down in a bush three stories in the air for no fucking reason. He’s one of the only people who can force of will his way out of the crown. You’re enemies. You can sleep with him though. He helps you kill god. But then he gets scared of the crowd thanking him for this immediately after. He scaled a vertical, smooth tower to kill god and thinks this is normal. You have to hold his hand in the crowd and he stares at the ground the whole time. He breaks your flute because you’re an annoying ass bitch. You’re probably married now though. He probably has autism. He is just so fucking strange.

I think there’s a natural cycle where new Robins see the grandeur and luxury of the Manor and think Bruce is some spoiled orphan hopped up on his own money (they’re not entirely wrong) and then one day at breakfast Bruce will randomly mention an obscure dish he learned in a Thai prison and Alfred will lean over and say “oh yes, I do recall that one - spicy at first!” and then they’ll happily rank various prison foods together (and then the prisons themselves, then solitary confinement, then respective “enhanced interrogation measures”) while Robin is just sitting there trying to finish their oatmeal without their jaw dropping open
