I’m not a huge elmaxer but I do think it’s fairly cute and whatever, but… if u ship elmax and dont ship lumax…..! idk there seems to be a trend of ignoring a well written, super cute and enjoyable mixed/poc m/f ship in favor of a bland, mega whatever they-touched-once white on white queer ship, under the pretense that you can just be like “oh i just dont like m/f ships theyre boring” :/ like. lumax is so much more interesting than elmax im sorry, elmax is cute and i think el probably had a crush on max at somepoint, but the lumax dynamic, “do you accept the risk”, “I like talking with you, stalker.”, “i disappeared / no you didnt, i just didn’t look hard enough”, “movie friday?”, just everything about them will always beat elmax?? its weird so many of you are so quick to ship el and max and put them alongside byler (ignoring the canon byler/lumax parallels and double date!) claiming that m/f ships are boring and queer ones are better, while ships like byclair or henclair are rarely talked about by the same crowd. it smells like racism!
#ship what you want#but i think ur weird#sorry lumax on top#literally the best ship in the show other than maybe byler#and the people who pair of elmax and then pair off henclair#just so they can pretend they care about lucas or even dustin and not be called racist#! ur weird#fans who only care about elmax and byler….#do NOT interact thats crazy#this fandom loooooves their white people#stranger things#byler#lumax#idk if i should tag elmax ☠️#but its not really elmax hate either#i do genuinely think elmax is cute! elumax is very cute to me#fandom#harpersays

I see you have an EAH pfp so lemme ramble about something that bothers me abt the fandom I've noticed recently (I loooooved EAH as a kid)
regarding Apple White and her redemption arc, I find it ridiculous that to this day there are still people that insist she was the 'real villain' and completely misinterpret her character growth because of her ACCIDENTALLY freeing the Evil Queen from the mirror prison. Honestly genuinely how do people not see that her arc is meant to be that of a deconstructing evangelist? Maybe it's just because I grew up in the church but her arc and characterization seems so clear to me that I don't get how, after watching the whole show, people can still insist on her as the awful evil one
A) She was raised in a society and by a family that told her expressly that her behavior towards Raven and the other rebels in season 1 was not only appropriate, but morally correct. When we meet her mother in the show we can see her helicopter parenting specifically to make sure she's continuing to act this way, to the point where she has a popularity chart of the kids in her school that's updated regularly so she can keep tabs on Apple's every status at all times.
B) Growth in nonlinear. I don't know how else to explain that her shattering the mirror the Evil Queen was in (which, again, was an accident) was the fault of the Evil Queen for emotionally manipulating her because they made it pretty obvious in the scene itself that she was being toyed with. Also, that act doesn't actually contradict her assertion that Raven can choose her own destiny from the Wonderland special; even when Raven realizes that Apple freed her mom Apple straight up says the Evil Queen was promising everyone a happy ending. She was manipulated; she's not the evil conniving mastermind here
C) Her whole arc is meant to be a redemption arc. She's been led to believe by her mother, the school principal, every authority figure in her life that if everyone doesn't sign the Storybook, that everyone will die on the spot. When she says she doesn't want anything bad to happen to her friends in Thronecoming, she means that. She didn't have the benefit of meeting Giles Grimm like Raven and Maddie did, and faulting her for information she didn't have is a little ridiculous. Also, note that Thronecoming is what kickstarted her redemption because not only did she learn that the principal was a liar, but also met Giles AND saw that it wasn't just the Rebels who were being negatively affected by the stories; those who were happy to play along were being harmed too via Briar. Which is symbolic of the way people in the church are also harmed by its teachings, not just the people who reject it.
And like, obviously she's a flawed character, and you don't have to like her. I've just seen one too many people on tiktok yapping away about how she was "really a bad guy who got away with it" like. Have some media literacy I beg

I’m glad Demo’s sex appeal is getting more acknowledged over the years. Ngl I feel like there was some racism and colourism that prevented his attractiveness from being acknowledged back in 2012 due to him being unable to get hit with the ‘skinny white uke’ ray, like spy, sniper and medic did, because he was black
Oh for sure! I wasn't In the fandom in 2012 of course lmao I was eight but I've seen content from that time period and I'd also say I've noticed a difference in how Demo is sexualized when he does show up. It's not Completely fixed, I still see this in newer stuff, but idk it feels like people have backpedaled a little on presenting Demo as a Hyper-Masculine And Hyper-Dominant 2% Body Fat Rippling Abs Sex Beast who'll exist in fic as basically like, a sexy prop without a substantial personality that the writer can give a huge dick with which to fuck any of his white coworkers (the amount of demomedic sexyfic that describes Demo as being physically larger than Medic when he's really Really just not is astounding), if he's even considered as an option at all. Idk it's not like Anyone is characterized perfectly in a great deal of sexyfic but there really is something worth criticizing in the tendency to ignore the canon characterization and even appearance of the source's One black guy in order to force him into a fetishized "cartoonishly large and powerful hypermasculine sex god who exists in the plot only to sexually dominate white men." BUT I think people are becoming aware of this and a lot of this is changing! Idk I've seen not only More sexy sexy Demo art lately but more of it that depicts him with the body type he has in the mainline comic, or as more playful and more in line with his textual personality, especially a lot of stuff with Soldier where they tease each other a lot and seem to be on more "equal footing" which is really fun! Idk I clearly looooove Demo I think he's super interesting and super funny and like one of my favorite characters Ever to write about and soooo gongeous and he makes me so horny I should be shot like a lame horse but a lot of the way he's portrayed just does not really feel like Demo at all and I definitely think a ton of that is owed to the fact that he's a black guy and fandoms tend to treat nonwhite characters and black characters especially as either a total afterthought or a type of exoticized sex object. :/
#ask#anon#demo#mick dicks#racism cw#antiblackness cw#there is definitely an element of colorism to it too especially with a lot of art where demo is 'pretty' heavy quotes#and yknow looks softer and has flowers in his hair or whatever will make him Significantly lighter than he is in the game#but that's also the comic's fault! thanks valve!

people dunking on rollo because of his extremist values are so fucking funny to me like ohhhhh a villain?? IN A GAME ENTIRELY BASED OFF VILLAINS?? who knew man who knew. obviously not saying you have to like him or accept them as normal because hes in a villains game, thats a black or white dichotomy and the game can be perceived much more critically. but??? the other boys are not free from fault too. most of them got off pretty scott free too. rollo is not suddenly the antichrist. people who like rollo specifically for reasons you do not arent the antichrist either. if people like bad character = people are bad then people like good character = people are good would be true except its not cause some of you will like neige from motherfucking royal sword academy and still have every bigoted belief under the sun. some of you have just got to accept that fictional characters are there to enjoy and are no means the definite reflection of a persons moral code. anyways looooove rollo we should make out. except i hate the french so he should stay 90 feet away from me
-- c
i find it so funny that the twst fandom HATES rollo but loves sebek's grandpa like yes let's hate him for disliking fae but let's not dislike fae for hating humans and teaching his grandson to hate himself AND his father!

Hi! Edd AND Eddy 5, 12, 14, 25 :3
Thanks!! Sorry I wrote up an entire long answer and then uuuhhh my phone died 🤡 so let’s do this again!
5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?
Not necessarily the songs of all time but recently it’s been
Edd:
Eddy:
And hell why not shipping music:
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
Quickly, let me preface this section with the fact that I myself am white.
From the jump I’ve always thought Edd was not white, or mixed race, and had parents that were either first or second gen immigrants. And that it’s not very apparent in canon because his family assimilated really hard. I always felt this helped to explain a bit of his cultural sensitivities while at the same time adding some more depth to the intergenerational dynamics. Previously I’d imagined him as Filipino/white and more recently I’ve written him as mestizo/korean/white. I like seeing lots of other takes on this in the fandom throughout the years, like somewhat recently eddbedandeddy’s post that he could be MENA like his VA or gettingfrilly mentioning they see him as racially ambiguous. Recently the phrase “ancestral fruitcake” has been incessantly plaguing my mind (‘Tis the season/ is or is this not a hilarious stand in for the f-word slur please discuss among yourselves people) but that to me indicates that at least one line of his family is hwite.
Keeping on theme, I really cannot resist coding Eddy’s family as stereotypically dysfunctional Italian American (and let me elaborate on my opening statement by stating this identity IS my circus my monkeys 🙈). Memelzebub described his parents as Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman in the movie Matilda and I agree hard on that!
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
Okay I looooove playing dress up with these guys so let’s get into it. I envision these more as they get into their teens and older.
Edd: a bit of grandpa (chunky thrifted sweaters), casual 90’s/00’s streetwear (long sleeve quarter zips, sneakers), specialized outdoorsy gear (like 100 pocket cargo pants, swishy pull over rain jackets) and he’s always kinda cold (puffer vests, layers, etc) uhhh and he still wears outrageously colored and patterned socks. I like to imagine he’d expand his hat selection. He prefers to dress practically and comfortably.
Eddy: SO MUCH STYLE POTENTIAL. He likes fashion so I could see him playing up lots of styles and having lots of phases through his teens and into adulthood. Other than 70s inspired fashion, I’d be lying if I didn’t shout out butch lesbians as a fashion inspiration. In high school I often imagine him wearing more casual 00’s clothing - baggy jeans and long jorts and skater sneakers and polos and bowler shirts. And then as he gets older he leans into more “slutty 70s” men’s fashion. I think for loungewear he has a huge selection of dramatic robes and kaftans like some old Hollywood diva.
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
Edd: idk this is classic but I had a crush on him as a kid. What can I say. Now I don’t have a crush on him but find him incredibly interesting and complex and fun to think about (: I think I always liked that he was a big nerd with sort of odd interests because I related to it. Now I relate most to his unmedicated anxiety 🙃
Eddy: also classic response, I found him grating and annoying during the original air time. But I didn’t flat out hate him or anything. I found his voice interesting and he was funny! Now I love love love Eddy. I only watched BPS in like 2013 and man did that really shift things for me in terms of being emotionally invested in this pink cube. What a guy!

Mercy for the ask game?
a song that reminds me of them: The Florence + The Machine cover of "Stand By Me."
what they smell like: A lot of the time? Coffee and antiseptic, but in a more relaxed environment, Gardenia and white peaches with undertones of elderflower!
an otp: Gency 4 Lyfe.
a notp: M*icy for reasons I stated already in the Moira ask.
favorite platonic/familial relationships: I honestly love how close she seems to be with Sojourn! Close enough to spoil her dog and poke around about her love life? I feel like there's a lot of interesting rapport there following the Petras Act. I'd love to touch on it in my fics.
a headcanon that is popular in the fandom but that i disagree with: God, remember how obsessed people used to be with the idea that Mercy made Reaper and then they all shit the bed when Moira dropped? And they were like "Mercy's boring now! >:(" but it's like, "Bro you were just using that as an excuse to hate her to begin with. Like it's not like you actually thought it made her interesting, it just excused you being a hater." Imagine thinking literally all of the medical research at Overwatch was being done by one fucking person.
the position they sleep in: She is an ugly sleeper and I will die on this hill. Sprawled out into batshit positions, snoring, drooling, frequently falling asleep at her desk.
a crossover au i’d love to see them in: *curls up in a ball as I remember I still need to finish Blades and Broomsticks*
my favorite outfit they’ve ever worn: I looooove the WWI nurse vibes of her Combat Medic Ziegler skin, but also Royal Knight has a special place in my heart as well--I suffer through her staff being too big in that skin just because I love the combination of armor + exposed thighs.

Moments That Bring Me Joy: Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
I'm going through some of my favorite childhood movies and listing all the moments in them that bring me joy. I'm fully aware that many of the stories I loved as a kid are deeply flawed, but I just want to take some time to appreciate what they did well. Just because I'm focusing on the positive doesn't mean I'm unaware of the negative.
Note: I chose the word "joy" deliberately. Not all of the moments that bring me joy bring me (or the characters) happiness. Scenes involving death or pain might not be very fun or cheerful, but I find joy in a good story well told.
This one is a little harder for me to parse, because it came out when I was a teenager, after I'd mostly moved on to other fandoms. I still love it and have watched it many times, but it just has a different feel to all the other ones that I watched incessantly in my preteen years. I think a teenager enjoys movies in a different way than an eight-year-old does.
Love how it begins by throwing us immediately into the middle of a stunning battle!
Obi-Wan crash-landing his ship, flying out with a Force leap, then landing in a roll and coming up lightsaber swinging - woohoo, what a move! 8D
I love all the shenanigans and banter with the elevator XD
"Chancellor Palpatine, Sith lords are our specialty."
"Dew it."
Obi-Wan waking up, hanging over Anakin's shoulder and staring down an elevator shaft, then immediately clinging to Anakin ^_^
"Do you have a Plan B?"
"Not to worry. We are still flying half a ship." ... "Another happy landing."
I love the dramatic lighting in the scene where Anakin goes to Yoda for advice about his dreams.
*cradles the last conversation Anakin and Obi-Wan have as friends* The warmth of their interactions is so precious.... :')
I've always thought the people on Utapau look really cool. Also fun that the leader is the same guy who played the Mouth of Sauron!
I looooove the creature Obi-Wan rides on Utapau <3 Its cries are so cool, and it's so colorful and pretty! 8D
"Hello there." "General Kenobi!" Classic.
You know, Obi-Wan has always been a stellar fighter, but this movie really shows him at his prime. It's not just anyone who could face off against someone wielding four lightsabers at once and stand his ground.
"So uncivilized." *tosses blaster away*
That haunting scene where Anakin, waiting in the Jedi Council chamber, looks across the sunset-red expanse towards the room where Padme waits, looking across to him.... One of the most beautiful moments in the whole series.
Darth Vader's march upon the Temple--and all of Order 66, really--is heartbreaking, but cinematically perfect. So dramatic. So striking.
I really like that Anakin sheds a tear after killing the Separatist leaders. He's so far gone already, but there's still that sliver of the man he used to be. That he can still feel pain, even remorse...it's proof that, as Luke will eventually find, there's still some good in him. And as tragic as this movie is, that tear is actually rather reassuring.
The duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin is just stunning. The moves they use, the speed, the implications of what this fight means for both of them.... I still count the Darth Maul fight as my favorite, but this one is just *chef's kiss*
"You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness!" "I HATE YOU!" "You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you."
The juxtaposition of Darth Vader being operated on and Padme giving birth, both of them screaming, in a way both of them dying as a new life begins....
The sheer wonder on Obi-Wan's face when he learns that he might be able to talk to Qui-Gon again.
Padme's dress for her funeral is so pretty, especially with all the little white flowers in her hair.
The movie ending on a shot of the sunset on Tatooine. Beautiful.

⭐ -> star! ships. send your sexuality, gender, and a description of yourself and what fandoms you're in. ( as long as i'm in said fandom lol ) ill ship you with 1 or 2 characters!
I'm a straight female and my pronouns are she/her. I'm in the Harry Potter, marvel and stranger things fandoms!
I'm fairly introverted and it takes me a while to warm up to people. I love reading, my room is filled with stacks of books. I especially enjoy mysteries, poetry and Russian literature!I adore adventures, witty and playful banter, pulling harmless pranks, joking around and having indepth discussions on anything and everything. I love helping out and people come to me to vent or for advice and comfort. I'd consider myself really smart and I'm very ambitious; I love being the best at everything I do. I daydream a lot and I'm a hopeless romantic! I enjoy all forms of art and I have quite a few creative hobbies! I'm 5'9 and I have long and curly dark brown hair and brown eyes. I dress mostly in relaxed suits, blazers and coats and I love the occasional dress or sweaters layered over a white button down! I'm a taurus and a ravenclaw
Thank you very much!! Congrats on the milestone, here's to so many more followers ❤️
Thank you so much :((( <333
I do apologize though if this is bad, as i have never done this before. I love seeing those posts witg like people requesting ships with themselves and other characters and i thought it was cool so i wanted to try and im rambling but you get the point
From the MCU, i ship you with:
Loki Laufeyson
and
Peter Parker/Spiderman
𝐋𝐨𝐤𝐢 would definately have you read to him on a lazy morning/midday! Loki would love hearing about any random thoughts/daydreams you have. Would 100 percent help you decide on outfits and collaborate with you every once in awhile. When you and Loki inevitably find yourselves in Avenger's tower, you both would definately pull a couple pranks ( loki would probably take the fall for you lol ). Any drawing or sketch you gift Loki would be kept in a special spot and would never be crinkled, lost, or torn. I feel like you and loki would probably banter quite a bit ( nothing harmful! ) just to hear your smart remarks- Loki loves what your brain can come up with in the heat of the moment!!
𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 would fanboy over the way you dress since he isnt one to dress up unless theres a really good reason and overall you just look good🤷. If its tom holland spidey you like, peter would tell you about his spiderman thang when you started dating or whatvs idk. WORSHIPS the advice you give him- and probably says some 'damn thats pretty smart why didn't i think about that?' when you put in your two cents about his issues. OKAYOKAYOKAYOKAY I HAVE AN IDEA THAT I MIGHT WRITE A BLIRB OR SMTH ABOUT: when you paint realistic portraits and you need like a change of scenery or just something natural to take inspiration from, peter would have you pack up some water bottles, cups, snacks, your canvases, and paints in a drawstring and swing to a relatively natural environemnt ( i.e: a minimal amount of buildings, yada yada yada) and talk to you or listen to music while you painted
From the Stranger Things universe I ship you with...
Steve Harrington
i <3 my babyboy
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞 ( season 2+ ) would looooove taking it slow and letting you warm up to him- trust is important. His rich ass would probably buy you blazers/suit jackets/ basically anything you want. Would probably ask you to draw random things he thinks about during the day. Such a worrywart tbh- especially when you drive to that one diner in town without telling anyone so you could get a shake and basket-o-fries and brush up on your Russian readings. Super protective as well. If you were with him and Robin during their little Scoops Troops thing: expect him to hold on to you while hugging just a little longer.
From Marauders era Harry potter universei ship you with
Remus Lupin
loml tbh
𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐬 is lowkey a quiet guy with people he doesn't know. Understands social cues ( specifically yours ) and can easily calm you down if you have anxiety about something. Would probably tell you about Moony on accident, but would be happy that you knew so he didn't have to keep lying to you. Would rant and vent about all the dumb shit James n Sirius do and how Remus gets frustrated thaf Peter just follows them instead of saying what he needs to say. Compliments your dressing style and admires from afar. Would watch over your shoulder as you sketch/draw, loving watching the way your hand moves in a way that could create such a pretty thing. Please climb a tree and hang out with him
Golden trio era:
George Weasley
silly billy georgey porgey
𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 would be a big fan of pulling pranks with you, even if you don't want to do take the blame for it. Could sit and watch you make art for hours <3. Sorry not sorry would call you his little arm rest. Absentmindedly braids your hair when he's bored ( he knows how to braid because Ginny went through a phase when she was a kid when she wanted her hair braided 25/8). Loves hearing you talk about your ambitions and goals, and helping you when you're indescisive. You'd get a sweater from Molly and thats when you knew you were part if the family
𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧 𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐨 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 <33

I feel like doing A Thing. I'm gonna rewatch the N Direct (watched it at work originally) and comment on... I dunno, everything? For funsies.
Y'know I totally forgot it opened wit the Sploon3 DLC thing. I don't play splat myself but absolutely lovin the aesthetics here, that octoling in the elevator is dressed saucy I must say. The whole thing looks delightfully cartoon creepy, the clear overuse of flat white had me guessing at something to do with color right at the point "put this color chip in" was said. Gonna hafta paint that blank canvas.
Mario vs DK. Another series I never really played, but I know lots of people love it. One of those beloved side games. A friend commented on being glad it was going back to the original style rather then the psuedo lemmings thing where you just had the toy Marios. I hadn't thought of that myself but there you go. I love how when DK gets hit with the... box, pipe, whatever, that Mario throws at him, it really does feel like just a cartoon clonk on the donk, absolutely non-violent.
Ooooooooh here we go. I'm not a Prince of Persia fan specifically, did love the... 2006? 2009? That one stand alone entry with the prince with the orange and purple head wrap. But THIS PoP game looks fuuuuuuun, this is exactly my kind of 2D platformer, with a good combat system baked in too. Also you're not actually the prince this time! Or maybe that'll be the twist later. The prince was inside you all along.
Okay so I never even knew there was a Horizon Chase 1? So no clue as far as sequels go, but I have always enjoyed a good arcade racer on the side. This one gives me "slightly less wacky Cruisn' game" vibes. Also I like the little random dialogues you see coming from the cars a few times. Adds flavor.
Super Crazy Rhythm Castle... I uh... I dunno, I got nothing. It's a musical party game! When they said well known songs from other Konami games but it was a Beatmania track I'm not familiar with that landed like a wet sock. Sorry. Hope its fun!
Okay I haven't read/watched SPYxFAMILY but holy MOLY Anya is just pure distilled weaponized CUTE AS HECK. How do you be so cute like that? And now she's gonna have a game that's just about making memories with her family? I have diabetes now.
Woo, man, I have feelings about an SMRPG remake. But if I'm being blunt... any concern I have is just for shitty bad faith fandom deciding to shit all over the game after it comes out for not being some BS they made up in their heads. The game looks super cute and I appreciate how they kept the funny proportions of the characters from the SNES game. While everyone else is analyzing the changes to the battle system (or that train attack from Boomer that did max damage woah there), I noticed they snuck in a shot of the party seemingly opening the door to... will it be Culex again? Or will there be a new secret boss there? Boggles the mind it does.
Oh geez this one. Some people I follow have been flooding my dash with love for the Another Code game announcement(s) here. It makes me remember how much I have NOT played my copy of the DS game XD crud. I don't have the Wii sequel at all so I may get this just to cover my bases. I HAVE however, played Hotel Dusk, and would love to see some kind of port of that to the Switch. But more then anything I'm just glad to see this series not be forgotten.
HHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN NEW PEACH GAME. I loooooved Super Princess Peach on the DS, and I admit, I was... concerned, after the original announcement of a Peach game from the last general direct, that a new game would be... plain, flat even. But OH HOWDY I was assuaged of my concern! Also YES, give her LOTS OF OUTFITS PLEASE. I am def getting this.
Man the SaGa series... that's one I always see and like... want to go play, then I just never get around to it. I think I have the SaGa game on PS2? I almost got the super beloved PS1 entry not too long ago but it was like... over a hundred dollars. I gotta say though... I am actually LOVING the characters in this one. Like, the guy who would be the default sword warrior in any other RPG of this ilk is some kind of puppet master? We got robots? Magical girl witch? A... cowgirl and hijab wearing lady duo with guns? I AM SOLD ALREADY. WHAT EVEN IS THIS SETTING.
HD remake of Lara Croft games. ...that is all. (I don't really care one way or the other, hopefully they do right by the originals)
Detective Pikachu 2. I didn't play the first game, and despite how much you'd think I'd have a connection to pokemon given the original Blue was the first game I ever bought with my own money as a kid, and I legitimately caught all 151 mons... I don't actually have any strong connections to pokemon. Sorrynotsorry.
Trombone Champ... cough... that was a meme from last year I think? I dunno. I think people only care because it was a meme, if it had been some random Wii game it would've been called shovelware and nobody'd give a shit. Shrug.
Battle Crush looks serviceable, but I'm actually just surprised something that feels generic as of like... two or three years ago, is just showing up now. Seems like its riding an outdated wave.
Wartales feels like something that is gonna become the obsession of a tiny cult fanbase.
Remake of Contra 1... hm... okay so like, I actually am a Contra fan. Like... half the reason I would ever care about having a partner irl is someone to play Contra with. But the only thing in this trailer that really made me sit up was hearing that Wayforward was making it. It otherwise looks... just... plain. I guess. Nothing about it really leaping out at me from this trailer. The graphics feel too "clean", Contra should always look kinda grungy you know?
It is actually hard for me to express how HAPPY I am to see a new Vanillaware game (god I needta go finish 13 Sentinels...), but HOLY CRAP the title of the game... UNICORN OVERLORD. Is such a funny goddamn name. I want to tell you how pretty the game trailer is, how interested I am in the gameplay, or maybe how its giving me vibes to a Vanillaware game on the PSP that never got released in the US... but all I can imagine is someone's Megaman X OC Maverick. UNICORN OVERLORD! At half health they jump into the background on a throne and you evade attacks from a legion of lesser unicorn soldier bots. I am so getting this game though. (ALSO THE GAMEPLAY LOOKS LIKE OGRE BATTLE SO I AM QUADRUPALLY INVESTED no not TACTICS OGRE, OGRE BATTLE you peasant)
...wasn't the game called Luigi's Mansion DARK MOON? Was that only in the US maybe? Oh well. I suppose it was time enough for this. I've only played 3, but it was def a lot of fun. Also POLTERPUP, that is all.
Okay so... gotta be totally up front about F-Zero 99... I think its a hilariously fun idea to "99" up the original F-Zero, the way they 99'd up tetris and mario 1. But also, I am right there with all the fans who are grumbling about not getting an actual new F-Zero game, like a proper one not just a gimmick. Still, the game is gonna be a chaotic silly mess. Not bad, but not quite enough either.
Okay Bandle Tale and Nunu or whatever; what is it with everything related to LoL being better then the actual LoL game?
New Wario Ware! ...I don't play Wario Ware games! GIVE ME A NEW WARIO LAND GAME YOU COWARDS. (this is not meant as a sleight against WW games or the people who love them, they're legit cool, funny, colorful, have a ton of great characters, and I just don't personally play them so new ones go solidly into "tell that one friend of mine a new WW was announced" category)(also inb4 all the people complaining about "motion controls" or something, I dunno, I hope the fandom is better then that but I dont trust the internet)
Eiyuden Chronicles! This is one of those things where the original games this is a successor to (which I cant remember the name of off the top of my head because my brain hates me) isn't something I ever had, but I've spent more then enough time immersed in that old PS1 culture and the people therein that I totally get it, and I hope nearly as much as any fan that the final product of this game is everything they want it to be.
Ah, here's one that's virtually impossible for me to comment on because I know nothing of Eastward other then that art style. It looks nice! And I don't know how this is similar or different or fits in at all with the original game! I would 100% become immortal somehow despite the ramifications just to play every game, but alas, I am a mere mortal, and have a limited amount of time, lots of which I lose to depression, so I have not played Eastward. Sorry.
Wargroove 2! Well that's not something I was expecting. I def liked Advanced Wars back in the yonder time, but never stuck with the genre going forward (also I suck at it!). When the original Wagroove became a thing (I actually played a prelease demo of it at PAX one year) I was def excited for fans of the genre (pretty much how I feel about Eiyuden Chronicles even). But I also remember hearing that people fell off the first game kinda fast? Here's hoping 2 does all the good sequel things and really ups its game then.
I admit I'm not much for the huge plethora of (usually cooking focused) crafting-one-side-selling-on-the-other style games. But I do like seeing a game randomly have a POC player character. Just, in general. Doesn't even seem to be a factor of the story either, just is a thing. Glad to see it. (Love the mantis shrimp with the boxing gloves, gotta get that out there)
I haven't played MK8 since it was on the WiiU! Moving on!
I have never played Among Us. I'm not gonna be playing it. ...was there only ever one map in that game? Trailer's cute. Is it mushroom themed because they're basically wanting to hand people a "fungus among us" joke?
Let see... quick reel of already announced stuff... and... oh right...
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake. I uh... I never got into TTYD. Oh I played it. A little. Something about it just didn't feel quite right to me? I dunno. I know people fucking LOVE it. And, sweet deal then. But this is another one I'm just kinda shrugging at. I will not be getting it. Oh well.

i loooooved reading your rep breakdown. i have a homemade tracklist of rep that, as far as taylor songs go, only contains lwymmd, idsb, so it goes, delicate, getaway car and false god. i also have on it a few melodrama tracks (homemade dynamite + liability reprise + sober ii), sufjan stevens tracks (i want to be well + the age of adz), fear & delight by the correspondents, and BLOOD. by kendrick, which is the opening song (ending before the fox news sample bit). these are the vibes i wanted.
i'm glad you mention some of her clear musical inspirations throughout rep bc i agree they pale in comparison. i think of all her albums, rep is the one that is the most blatantly derivative, but perhaps it only seems that way to me because a lot of the songs don't succeed in what they set out to do.
i feel like she hinted at a gothic/cyberpunk/bond girl amalgamation in various mvs, tour stage sets, and a few songs, but she whimped out and made the album about the boy she hid away with while the rest of the world collapsed. which is cute and all, but imo such a waste of her designated 1 (one) bad girl era.
Not to quote two white male YouTube music critics, but I distinctly remember ARTV and Anthony Fantano calling reputation (and, in ARTV’s case, specifically LWYMMD) out for being too Lorde-ish in sound and seemingly heavily inspired by Melodrama (which is probably kind of the result of Jack producing both albums in a relatively short period of time), and ARTV said something about how Taylor shouldn’t follow trends, she should set them. Which she has, time and time again. Taylor is a musical genius and a trailblazer, which is probably why it is such a shame that rep is what it is. The fact that fans often refer to it as her “most experimental” album just adds to that – not to play the “Swifties should listen to other artists” card, but it feels like an appropriate thing to say now, even though, to be fair, the Lorde and Halsey vibes of the album were often talked about in the fandom, if I recall correctly. Reputation is by no means a bad album – in terms of telling a complete story over the course of an album I’d argue it’s her best, and I don’t even take issue with the subject matter, I just find the execution to be lacking. In a track breakdown on folklore and evermore I am currently working on I mentioned that I think Taylor is at her best when she tells a big story in details and reputation is too big-scale for my taste, especially during the “persona” songs. And I feel like we see her mainly as a lover or as a public figure, rarely as a person. Who is she outside of her relations to other people? Though, to be fair and with added context of Lover etc., that is arguably a result of her still being very, very hurt at the time she wrote the album. I wonder if her feeling that she HAD to write this album and put it out led to the soundscape being less refined than on other albums.
I’ve talked time and time again about how I think reputation is an album that primarily works for fans, and how it isn’t a bad thing per se that critics etc. do not “get it”. Part of the mixed reception is definitely as result of Taylor being such a polarizing public figure, but there is an undeniable backlash that simply stems from the album being. Not that interesting. (MicTheSnare’s breakdown “Repetition” on YouTube is a great video about that.) If the “bait” of a “bait and switch” is more interesting then the “switch”, it didn’t really work imo. One of my friends at the time the album came out once said “After the singles you expected this really crazy thing, but it’s kind of just another Taylor Swift album”, and I think I would somewhat agree. Taylor’s attitude and her way of presenting herself and her work during rep era splits her career into two different sections – pre-rep and post-rep – and the album is undoubtedly insanely important to her artistic and personal journey, and it has left its mark in pop culture, but as a work of art it’s. Not really all it could have been?
#ask#poembyneruda#my bad this got long#i'll also listen to the song you emntioned for sure! the more 'what rep could have been' input the better

brown people are all the same and therefore interchangeable according to martell stans… which i guess explains why they believe rhaenys (who they fancast as indian) should’ve been in dany's place and become khaleesi instead. indians = mongols. lol
These Martell ... 'fans' (if I am even calling them that) are mostly white people with a token few friends who are PoC who keep emboldening them to be racist toward other PoC in this fandom. They don't deserve to be taken seriously, anon. Not when they love to downplay actual incidents of genocide in ASoIaF to support their anti Targ agenda, write hundreds of metas about how Rhaegar and Dany are both irreedemable white supremacists and rapists who are led around by prophecy, when in reality all these Martell stans looooove Sansa, who in the show was a raging xenophobic bitch and in the books is a sheltered little toddler-brained chit who would shake and cry if she ever was dropped into Dany's storyline and had to interact with actual PoC characters. They also love show!Cersei even when she was responsible for the public degradation and death of their so called Dornish favourites. Inconsistency is the only constant with these racists, who love to say Dany raped Irri, yet unironically ship Cersei with Taena, without ever acknowledging the problematic nature of their relationship. "antis just don't admit how important Taena was to Cersei" -> from one of these cultists. Like I'm about to prioritize an actual white supremacist, deeply misogynistic woman just because she pulls at my heartstrings a couple of times but absolutely did rape a WoC? Lol.

It wasn’t a babe who got Brightman to say anything, it was an anti. Tbh, no one should’ve asked as it was extremely rude and clearly only caused discourse.
cracks knuckles thank god youre here i have been itching to fight
i dont take issue with the initial question i dont even take issue with that original asker telling us what he said they were probably just super excited
what i take issue with is the badgering on his twitter and the attempts to dissect what he said to make it seem like hes absolutely okay with the ship i shall not name
theres nothing to dissect folks he said hes uncomfortable with that sort of thing as are a pretty big majority of people he is uncomfortable with the content and definitely isnt interested in hearing about it and i mean any of it he does not care he has so many other things to do a fan asked him a question he answered end of story
he has no place in fandom discourse and discussion none of the actors do
he has no place in the debate at all because he wants no place in it he is like so far above it so far folks
as for thinking its rude and just to start discourse liek are you actually kidding me thats just a commonplace thing in here if you had people constantly telling you something as vile and awful as beetlebabes is canon over and over again and belittles you for disagreeing or anything you are bound to get a little excited to tell your friends that a member of the cast of the media itself is on the same side as you im assuming youre a beetlebabe shipper anyway you would be fucking excited too and rest assured if keaton or burton or anyone from the movie said oh hey beetlebabes is good you all would never shut the fuck up about it you already looooove to bring up the writers who admitted to wanting to hint at the ship in the cartoon ive already had that explained to me many times trust me i know that there were some problematic things going on in the writers room thank god it never made it into the black and white terms of canon vs non canon
i know that i have brought up the validity of what is and isnt canon and i talked about what people involved with the project say vs what actually ends up on the screen and if youre gonna try to bring that up to me
beetlebabes isnt canon in the musical is straight up is not canon at all and alexs opinion reflects that end of fucking story
alex is a nice guy and doesnt want us to be fighting obviously but im sure he doesnt really care about the people who have gone out of their way to talk shit about the musical and i dont think he would like anybody picking apart his words to make it seem like hes okay with pedophilia im certain he wouldnt like that because a normal human person would hate that

Would you ever write in epistolary format?
My creative writing teachers would be so sad that I had to google that, but for any people like me, this means written in a document format, such as letters.
And the answer is definitely yes! I actually have a WiP I started waaaaaaaay back for rorveth that is sorta this, although I was torn on if I wanted it to be just letters or letters interspersed with POV exposition. But I looooove letter fics. Like, one of my most memorable fics I've written was back in like 2010 and I named it after Joe Cocker's song "Oh My Baby, He Wrote Me A Letter". This was for the BBC Merlin fandom, so not sure that's interesting to anyone, but I really remember that one, for some reason. And letters are FUN to write!
Just 'cause, here's the beginning of the letters WiP I started for rorveth (appropriately titled 'letters' XD).
The first letter arrived in an unremarkable fashion, just one more piece of parchment on the already messy desk of Vernon Roche, the new Imperial Administrator of the Vassal State of Temeria. After everything he’d fought for, he’d certainly never expected to be stuck behind a desk. The one saving grace of the job was that Ves was still his right-hand-woman and when she got tired of the paperwork, no one told her to put the knife away.
Then again, it would take a very brave man to challenge Ves, and Roche had yet to see any do so successfully.
But the letter – it was entirely mundane, nothing noteworthy about it whatsoever. From the outside, anyway. Roche wasn’t even sure which aide had left it on his desk when. But when he picked up the letter and flipped it over to break the seal, he noticed that the wax had a flower pressed into it, some sort of blue blossom that he didn’t recognize. Roche’s brow furrowed. What an odd choice for a seal.
Things only got stranger when he cut through the wax and read the letter itself. It was only one word: Kingslayer.
Roche stiffened. If this was a threat, it was an effective one. Not that Radovid was the first king he’d killed, but King Henselt had long since passed into memory in the quickly-changing political landscape of the north.
Realistically, if someone knew about their plot against Radovid, there was little they could do with it. Roche had no doubt that Emperor Emhyr was already very aware of Roche’s actions – Nilfgaard’s spies were impressive, and that was about all he could say in support of the empire – and the fucker had made Roche head of Temeria anyway. It wouldn’t be great if the people of Temeria found out about it, but Radovid had never been a true ally. Besides, if word did get out and he was removed from office, he would finally be able to get back in the field.
Please? he absentmindedly sent the prayer to whatever deity might be paying attention. Nilfgaard had different gods than the Northern Kingdoms did, and Roche had seen so much of war that it was hard to believe there could be any higher being out there, but at some point, it had become habit to frame the thoughts he wasn’t supposed to have as prayers.
He flipped the letter over to look at the wax seal again. Who the fuck would send him a threat – was it a threat? – and seal it with a flower?
Actually, that was a stupid question. The real question was why would the elf reach out to him at all? Roche hadn’t had contact with the Scoia’tael since Loc Muinne, when Temeria’s future was essentially handed to Nilfgaard and suddenly all that mattered was protecting his homeland. He hadn’t – well, he hadn’t exactly told Iorveth that he was abandoning the fight against nonhumans to fight against Nilfgaard (for all the good that had done), but he had seen the elf only once since then. Iorveth had left the very clear impression that it would be the last time.
In retrospect, Roche could see how being told that “the only thing that matters is Temeria” might be insulting to someone who had been fighting for a free elven state for decades. Nonetheless, he couldn’t take the words back and from the way Iorveth’s face had gone cold and stony the moment the words had left Roche’s mouth, and the way Iorveth had turned and left without a word – well, Roche had honestly assumed that the elf was done with him.
He’d ignored the complicated way he felt about that for years, but now suddenly, Iorveth’s decision to reach out – is that what this was? – had his mind going back to that day. He’d been in so much pain at the time, the loss of his men and his own treasonous actions fresh in his thoughts and weighing down on him. Iorveth had found him packing up his camp on his way back to Vizima, catching Roche entirely by surprise.
If he’d been less off balance then, would things have gone differently? At the time, he hadn’t known the hole Iorveth’s absence would leave in his life, the aching sense of being adrift without a sense of purpose, without the thing whose opposition had defined him. He had always been Vernon Roche, Commander of the Blue Stripes, Authority on all Nonhuman Affairs. And even after he’d become Vernon Roche, Freedom Fighter, he’d never quite adjusted the definition of himself, never quite learned how to be Roche without Iorveth on the other side of his coin.
Maybe that was why Iorveth was reaching out. Maybe he felt the same, felt aimless and pointless now that Nilfgaard had taken over everything and nonhumans were given the same respect and rights as humans. Maybe Iorveth was also stuck behind some desk, fingers that were meant to hold a sword cramping around a too-delicate quill.
Roche shook his head and then rubbed his face. If he let his thoughts continue in that direction, he’d be too miserable to get anything done. What he needed was a quick break to splash some water on his face and then to get back to work. Because even if Roche was a remnant of a bygone age, Temeria was still everything, and he would serve his homeland however he was needed. Even if it slowly killed him inside.
When he returned to his desk, the letter still sat there innocently, words face-down because he wasn’t that careless. But that meant he was faced with the little blue flower pressed into white wax. It was actually rather pretty, though only an elf would do a ridiculous thing like seal a letter with one.
He should throw it away or burn it or otherwise dispose of the letter that named his crime, but instead, Roche found himself filing it in his desk, hidden under a stack of parchment. He could always get rid of it later.
––
The next letter arrived about a week later. As soon as Roche saw that little blue flower seal, his heart started to beat faster and he reached for it immediately. He broke the wax and unfolded the letter to find that this time, Iorveth hadn’t limited himself to one word. Instead, he’d filled the parchment with his oddly shaky handwriting and when Roche lifted it to his nose, he could catch the faint herbal scent of gin underneath the sweet floral smell. If Iorveth had been drinking while writing, it would certainly explain the bad handwriting. But why would Iorveth drunkenly write him, of all people?
He bit his lip and wondered where Iorveth was now. Even if he knew and tried to respond, he wouldn’t know what to say to Iorveth after all this time. He couldn’t regret the decisions he’d made, as fruitless as they may have ended up being. Being Temerian was such a core part of his identity that Roche could never have done anything else.
Still, he almost feared what Iorveth may have written in his inebriated state. It wasn’t as if the elf hadn’t insulted him extensively to his face. Why should he care if the same words made their way onto this parchment?
But he did care. Their last meeting had broken something deep inside him, something he wasn’t ready to examine yet. He would rather be faced with the memory of Iorveth turning away from him, face blank, and never saying a word as he left for the very last time, than to know that even now, Iorveth’s hatred for Roche sustained him.
Roche himself was just too tired for hate anymore. Maybe that was the point of this ridiculous administrative role – to make him so exhausted and docile that he was no longer a threat. Roche wouldn’t put it past Emhyr to plan such a thing.
Shaking his head, he took a deep breath and read the letter.
I wonder if it still brings you pride, to know that you’ve won. The Scoia’tael are no more. My men are gradually being reintroduced into society – Nilfgaardian society, of course. The same Nilfgaard that declared us traitors and tried to assassinate us after the Peace of Cintra. It makes me sick to bear the Golden Sun on my armor, and yet, my men are finally free or as close as we will ever get. I should be happy – the Scoia’tael are no more because there is no longer a need for us.
So why do I wish we were still in the forests outside Flotsam, fighting a never ending bloody battle?
It ended like that, abruptly, though from the link blots below the last words, Roche suspected Iorveth had debated saying more.
What was he supposed to do with this? What good was the knowledge that Iorveth was just as miserable as he was, just as desperate for a return to when things made sense and the lines between this side and that one were clear?

Did you ever make that joker tier list, I always like seeing what people think of all the different ones. Though if they put Romero last I can no longer respect them.
LMAO I DID! I think I’ve made it kind of obvious in this blog but I... don’t... particularly... care... for... the joker.... unless he’s, y’know, fun to watch. Cause he’s a clown, and clowns are supposed to be entertaining. But since you politely brought it up, and and because I have a deep respect for mutual Romero-lovers, I guess this would be a good time to explain my rankings and just discuss my general thoughts on each clown:
General Thoughts:
For the most part, I don’t really care for the Joker. This is hardly an uncommon opinion here on tumblr, but I definitely fall on the side of the fandom that feels that he gets too much attention from DC. I get WHY they use him so often for films and comics, and I don’t have anything against *most* folks who consider them their favorite Batman villain, but at this point he’s used more for shock value and as a crutch instead of anything interesting. Like, instead of giving attention to the other Rogues, writers (at least for the comics) will try and make up some bullshit story that they can shoehorn the Joker into, ‘cause it sells. It’s tiring, and I feel like the character has lost his meaning; I can only read so many stories about the Joker, I don’t fucking know, wearing a suit made from dead babies and Jason Todd’s flayed corpse before I get sick of it.
I’m at the point where I’ll like any Joker who’s just fun to watch. I genuinely respect those who prefer darker interpretations of the character, but that isn’t me; I vastly prefer the lighthearted takes on him, because... at this point... writers who use the “cleaner” version of him tend to be more creative, since they actually have to write a Joker story that doesn’t rely on gore/torture porn.
TIER ONE:
Joker Baby: Self explanatory. Joker Baby is thematic, thoughtful, and intense. Everytime I watch this video, I shiver with fear and pleasure; something primal in me awakens whenever Joker Baby runs his fingers through his spray-on dyed hair, and ends up smearing green paint on his forehead- it represents the inner turmoil, the chaos, that resides within the disturbed body that is Joker Baby. Nothing can ever hope to top the artistic and cultural impact Joker Baby has had on society.
TIER TWO:
Batman Ninja: I genuinely believe that Batman Ninja is one of the most fun, organic, and creative things to come out from the Batman side of DC comics in like... hmmm... a decade, maybe (I could talk for hours about how much I love this movie but that’s something for a future post). This Joker is easily, and unironically my favorite interpretation of the character, period. I love his energy, his design, everything. This is the most fun I’ve ever had watching a Joker on-screen, and for that I’ve gotta give the film credit where it is due.
Batman ‘66: I looooove Caesar Romero. Batman ‘66 in general is one of my favorite pieces of Batman media, and I absolutely adore this Joker. The show is pure, genuine fun, and it’s nice to turn my brain off and watch a show where the entire cast was allowed to goof around. This Joker is just a cute, goofy little clown-man who likes to commit crimes, go surfing, turn Gotham’s water reserve into gelatin, and have wild orgies with Penguin, Catwoman, and the Riddler. I massively appreciate the hustle. I love his little mustache and his facial expressions. I’d give him a chaste little kiss on the cheek if I could.
The Batman: EXTREMELY CONTROVERSIAL TAKE BUT. I think TB!Joker is better than what people will give him credit for. I can only imagine how stressful it must have been to be the first Batman cartoon to follow BTAS and the writers for this show knew they were gonna be fucked no matter what they did with the Joker, so they just decided to try something completely different with him. Personally, I appreciate the new direction- he has a fun, unhinged energy. I’ve placed him higher than BTAS/BTNA!Joker simply because The Batman was the show that got me into the Rogues in the first place, and I’m just a bit closer to this Joker because of it. Also his vampire form was cool as FUCK in Batman Vs. Dracula and the scene where he gets drenched in blood at a blood bank is fucking awesome.
Batman the Animated Series/The New Adventures: Everyone loves BTAS’s Joker, and I’m no exception. Mark Hamill is fucking great, and the writers clearly knew the character well enough to create a version of him that can be fun and threatening. As an aside, I unironically like his redesign in BTNA- I remember Hamill mentioning somewhere that he thought it was neat that this Joker looked more like a shark (I’ll see if I can find a source on that... I think he said it in an interview with Kevin Smith?) and I kinda agree with him. the redesigns in the final season are hit or miss, but I didn’t get why so many people bitched about the Joker’s new look.
Batman Unlimited: Hear me out... Hear me out... Clown... funny... and cute... He wears a little crown and gives Solomon Grundy a little smooch on the cheek and it is as delightful as it sounds. Yes the Batman Unlimited films literally only exist to sell toys but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy them on some ironic level.
TIER THREE:
Lego Batman: He’s a gay icon. He has the range. Enough said.
White Knight: This is just a genuinely good, original take on the character, and the art in White Knight is absolutely gorgeous.
Arkham: My friends and I joke that this Joker is basically a more unhinged version of BTAS! Joker and... yeah. I’m glad Hamill and Paul Dini got to fuck around with the character more, but I never really dwelled on the Joker parts of the games like I might have for other characters. I definitely liked him the most in Arkham Asylum, as he was more fun to watch. Arkham City was fiiiiine, but I think I replayed the game so much that I kinda got fatigued with everything about it. Genuinely hated his part in Origins, and I was pissed that he stole the attention from Black Mask and Bane (who’s the best fucking part of Origins IMO). I’ll admit that I... Haven’t... played... Knight yet (I have it on PC but my laptop is too wimpy to run it) but like... He’s dead at that point, so I’d assume he isn’t the main point of that game anyway. I love Mark Hamill and the fact I can personally beat the shit out of this Joker, so he’s ranked up pretty high for those reasons.
TIER FOUR:
Batman ‘89: TBH this Joker should be a rank higher, but I’m too lazy to hop onto PicsArt to change it. NIcholson was an excellent choice, and I apprecaite how this Joker makes use of the playful and unhinged aspects of the character. Also, his outfits are cute, and I love the museum scene.
Brave and the Bold: Technically this Joker SHOULD be ranked higher since he’s literally based on the more lighthearted comics in the 60′s but... ehhh... I haven’t really watched BATB so I don’t have any strong opinions on the show and how it handles the character. he’s ranked this high through beause I appreciate what they were going for.
Golden Age: The quality of comics are always subjective, based on the creative team behind them. Some I’ll like more, others less so, It’s kind of hard to rank the pre-52 comic version of the Joker because of this.
TIER FIVE:
Killing Joke: Read it, didn’t care for it. I acknowledge how massive the impact this comic had on... everything, but just because I recognize how important this graphic novel is, doesn’t mean I have to like it.
The Dark Knight: Ledger did an excellent job with the role, but uhh... I’m kind of sick of the alt-right chuds who are out there sucking this Joker’s dick. The fanbase definitely ruined the character for me.
TIER SIX:
99′: Eh
Endgame: No
Suicide Squad: NO
Death of the Family: Hate him. Despise him. Lame stupid dumb little edgy bitch.
Gotham (Jeremiah): I don’t particulary care for Gotham in general, but the only reason I ranked this Joker over Jerome is beause I thought it was kinda funny to see that they made him a little rat-man, and I liked watching all the fujoshi on here cry and complain that they can’t ship this version of the joker with the pre-pubescent Bruce Wayne in the show bc he’s too ugly.
Gotham (Jerome): stop shippping this freak (who is fucking eighteen years old) with a literal twelve year old child. what the FUCK is wrong with yall.
UNRANKED:
The Joker (2019): I don’t plan on watching this film, nor will I ever. I know this is ironic, coming from someone who runs a Rogue blog, but stuff that focuses primarily on a character’s deteriorating mental health makes me reaaaaallllllyyyyy anxious (it’s kind of a phobia) and considering that I don’t particularly the Joker, I have no reason to watch something I know will only give my dumb ADHD-ass intrusive throughts.
#tier list#this was nice to finally write out- I don't typically write Joker stuff unless someone prompts it#the joker#gonna tag this as discourse just to hopefully keep it out of ppl's feed#bc i know how... defensive... joker fans... can get...#discourse#long post

I'm so glad there are more people who absolutely hate Billy's guts because for some reason the stranger things fandom loooooves abusers???
Yeah I really can't see why people like him? Apart from the fact that he's a "hot" white guy (not that I don't think Dacre looks nice, he's a talented and kind actor), he has NO positive relationships across the shoe (unless you count B!lly and Karen, which is frankly disgusting).
People are convinced that Steve and Max had to "fix" him (as you usually see in fics). Yes, he needs to get help, but definitely not from the people he's abused.
I'm also going to take this moment to note that B!lly is a Thot emotionally abuses her. It may just seem like verbal abuse, but if you look closely into it and you'll see that it is an emotionally abusive relationship. The yelling, name calling, threatening, etc.
