Yingdu/Bridon arc spoilers!

Ok we have to talk about XIa Fei being gossiped about, heavily hinting to the audience his coworkers think he goes to bed with his boss (which should be Vein, right?) and his vibes with Vein thereafter. Pretty blatant I was delighted lol.

Then Cheng Xiaoshi immediatly going, "Oh what a handsome guy" at Felix modeling ad in the airport which lol. lmfao even. He then takes a photo bc composition, and like. sure, jan, the censors bouught that bc we got to see it but it's blatant. Then he meets Xia Fei in person and is all flustered and happy and Lu Guang is sooo morose. Probably bc he knows Xia Fei is connected to the baddies and there to casue them problems but its soooo funny how over Xiaoshi interest in Xia Fei he is.

The one that had me go lol Was Cheng Xiaoshi and Liu Xiao at the airport bc sure LX saved CXS but he's also immediatly all for gettin to befriend this gallant stranger.

Lu GUang meanwhile is going through the horrors for his love.

#something is very obviously different about these two compared to my normal images on this blog. i acknowledge this #also the sv model is Really good. and since they always stare straight at the camera anyway… and no one pays attention to the background…#and the only high-quality phantump model i could find was so horribly shiny that its eyes were just white voids #in my defense‚ phantump always just stare straight at you in game #the lighting is different‚ yeah. that's probably the dead giveaway. beyond the background. but like. i'm the only being on the planet who #really likes phantump anyway. i feel like it's a generally forgettable pokémon to most folks #phantump #HELLO this one is a weird one. i have some explaining to do. so when i did this one i didn't know how to edit models really at all #and when i got the models for these‚ the xy models were super shiny. shiny to the point that it made their eyes fuckin invisible #and i decided that since you could barely tell it was phantump‚ i needed a different way to get these images #i remembered that in the SV dlc‚ every time you find a wild phantump‚ it just fucking. stares. at you. and i was like. aha #i kinda remembered because of the test stream that i did. tumblr user alligayytorr (am i getting the right amount of Ys) said #“haha i am getting a sneak peek” when i zoomed the camera in on a phantump. and i remembered that. and i was like. i can utilize this #and ended up using just an in-game screenshot of SV in replacement of the regular content. later on‚ after that #once we got into gen 7 and it became less and less reliable to find models‚ i had to learn how to edit them manually to remove the shine #i am a software dev. not a 3d modeler. this ended up coming down to editing the code of the models directly (which i ended up writing a #script to automate). now‚ today‚ january 22nd (the day of me writing these tags and updating this post)‚ i remembered this post was in the #queue and was not normal. so i went back‚ ran the script on the phantump and trevenant models‚ and unshinified them #then edited these two posts to be normal. i have left the original pictures i took under the cut for reference and as bonuses #because i really enjoy phantump. so that's why those images are there‚ and that's why these tags are here #just for posterity's sake‚ the folks who come here mostly for my commentary‚ i've left the ORIGINAL tags of the post when i initially #made it with the SV pictures up at the top (i wanted to rearrange them‚ but tumblr makes that Very difficult‚ so i left them as-is)#so if these tags are confusing to read i Apologize. but i hope now that you're at the bottom you understand what happened #i'm gonna go edit the trevenant post now

there is a story trying to form in my head that sounds like a perfect plot for one of those yaois you read once and never find again, which sucks because I am so bad at drawing comics bigger than one silly page

Okay but my favorite GIR moments are ALWAYS the ones that imply he's just aware enough of what's going on to know that the thing he's doing will fuck up Zim's day, and he still does it anyway, possibly specifically for that purpose.

#invader zim #gir #iz posting #natterings #most times its not even malicious #or not like SPECIFICALLY malicious beyond gir being a gremlin who enjoys chaos in general #i think a lot of the time he just wants to secure zims attention and making him mad is the easiest way to do it #(+ i mean zim kind of models this strategy all the time so can he really be surprised girs learned it—)#or sometimes the terrible thing will eventually end up leading into accomplishing something useful #and its easy to say this is just fools luck and totally inadvertent on girs part #but there are rare moments that suggest he mightve a little bit done the thing on purpose and im obsessed with that #that one comics issue where he impersonates dib torments zim for days on end and then wheedles zim into praising him for it #lives rent free in my mind #BUT ANYWAY I ALSO THINK THAT MAYBE SOMETIMES IT COULD BE A LITTLE MALICIOUS #given that gir in his natural state isnt really CAPABLE of resentment or anger or even dislike #and the one time he was able to feel those things he turned on zim in less than 24 hrs #in a way that was clearly very personally motivated (note to self write meta about gir goes crazy and stuff i have so much shit to say)#which suggests to me those emotions probably are there festering on some inaccessible level and yknow #imo a little healthy sadism is a GREAT outlet for that #zim absolutely deserves it

One day I will write a longer post about this but in my opinion, part of the real reason Zhen Huan wins in the end is that she was the most effective leader of the harem

#I think people misunderstand the show when the say that Zhen Huan “stooped” to the level of her enemies #because the thing is she never did #zhen huan did not win by virtue of being the most ruthless person #but by being the wisest leader all-around #you can see how the earlier experiences with hua fei and yixiu helped shape up zhen huan's leadership model #zhen huan's relationship with her allies is very different from those two #they're not simply her friends she respects them and looks out for their interests #even to the point of making concessions when it comes to things of importance to them #longyue and jing fei is the first example that comes to mind but it's not the only one #Zhen Huan's ability to maneuver delicate situations like this got her the most powerful faction in the end #and even though she could be quite ruthless she would not abuse the people close to her

Getting kind of tired of seeing women get dogpiled on for infantilizing themselves as if that isn't a perfectly understandable response to everyone they know telling them 25 is ancient and after that point their whole lives should be devoted to boring office jobs and raising children that they very likely don't want. Oh, and also everyone will think they're hideous beasts unless they have a 12-step skincare routine and get plastic surgery every two years.

Of course people won't want to think of themselves as adults when they've been given zero reason to believe adult life is worth living! Call me crazy, but I think people with the "I'm just a girl, teehee" mentality deserve compassion, not ridicule. Telling a woman she's cringe for having that coping mechanism is pointless at best and counterproductive at worst. The only thing that's going to help is reassuring people that they're still allowed to have hobbies and friends and an actual personality after age 40.

#i honestly consider myself lucky for spending so much of my childhood in online fandom spaces #being 10 years old and seeing women in their 30s writing mlp fanfic #gave me a really healthy foundation for what adulthood can look like #and if i hadn't had that i very likely would've ended up just like the ~tiktok girlies~#i don't wanna view people like that as my enemies #just because they weren't fortunate enough to have the same positive role models i did growing up

though reminder if you have the time and you want to use any of the DFFOO models/maps/animations/etc for personal projects, you should perform a batch download and put that data on your computer before the end of february. they also have the costumes, it's much better than hoping someone else posts them online

#my JP zip ended up being about 6.7GB when extracted onto my pc and 8.5 unzipped #it appeared larger in bluestacks for some reason #mine #i wanted to keep the models for my personal use so :]#this process is very straightforward and easy

they still call her a cambion a few times, but it's weird because functionally, she's really... not?

like in early access, her only being half-devil was a major plot point because she could die. originally, wyll was in such a hurry to rescue her at moonrise because if they did kill her, there would be no coming back since cambions, being mortal, don't do the whole "reincarnating in the hells" thing that full devils do... but then in the full release, her mortality is gone and if you "kill" her in moonrise, she just reincarnates in the hells like an actual full devil would???

so... yeah, she is still technically a cambion, i guess? but it's really in name only and pretty much all the plot significance & actual reason for her having been half-human has been removed

the thing is i'm so ready for this semester to be over buuuut i really don't want to go on summer break... maybe it would be nice if i didn't have to work but like. lol. basically i just hate the feeling of not really relaxing but not having a structured way to work on my actual goals and interests.

#i couldn't take summer classes my school barely offers the classes i need during the school year #so i'm just working more hours. whatever e will be in town that will be really wonderful and obviously i can draw and make art #but i just like. i like being in school! beat me take my blood whatever #i hated this semester which i knew i would like i just had to get these classes over with i fully predicted this #but next semester i have an actual drawing class and also. imagination class.... which is.... i'm unsure what to expect. but.#it's called imagination visual literacy actually but i will be calling it imagination class bc i think it's funny #ig visual literacy is a real thing. which is very fascinating so i'm excited #i also have 3d modeling which i'm a bit afeared of but every time i'm scared of a class it ends up not being that bad bc then i remember #that i'm a capable adult and not a helpless child that will collapse if i get a little confused #and it's online which i think may actually help bc i can like pause the lecture and replay parts and stuff #BASICALLY i'm just very sick of my classes and i want to move on to things i'm actually interested in but i have to just work all summer.#i'm just ready to keep goingggg like let's goooo why are we stopping
