Not sure if I still count as 'new' after three weeks on here but as a complete tumblr newbie (and an introvert) I took some time to get a hang of how to post/like/reblog/comment/follow/ask/do all of the tumblr stuff. But now I feel brave enough to finally introduce myself properly to the community.

So: Hello (again)! I am philodendrontrait — or nani (she/her) — and I play the sims 4!

I have been playing with a legacy save file since getting the game in 2019 and that's what I'll be mostly posting on here. I already started with posting generation 8 but as that generation is growing old now, you will probably start seeing more of generation 9 soon.

I play rotationally through my legacy households (for one sim-week, usually, unless I am having way too much fun), so it might be a little chaotic at times but I try to get some kind of organization in there.

✧˖° Some more facts about me:

I would consider myself a gameplay simmer. I do enjoy CAS and building too but mostly to make friends/partners and houses for my legacy sims.

I started with sims 2 and played sims 3 on the family PC but got sims 4 for my laptop when the game was free in 2019.

Other than the sims, I play Mass Effect (currently in my first play-through of Andromeda) and Assassin's Creed. I am a completionist in all of these games lol.

I am aroace (happy pride!) but I love having my sims do romantic stuff haha.

I am from Europe and part-Japanese. English is not my first language.

Some of my other interests: dinosaurs, kpop, 80s and 90s music, r&b, plants (hence the url), writing, reading, drawing (haven't done that in a while though), crafts and anything creative.

If I was a sim, my traits would probably be unflirty, geek, and perfectionist/creative.

i think.... my top 3 personal favs is 3. looming jax with his ears pressed against the wall: a cute detail! but also i like him cornering gangle/intimidating her and i also like those type of sketches you do!! messy and chaotic (positive), alot to look at and notice in those pieces! 2. jax falling in love with a idiot (gangle): its simple but i love jax expression there!! ahhh... its so good.. i love gangle having calm/simple expressions and jax having extreme emotions/expressions, its a nice contrast! 1. gangle with the npc figurine: a completely different/creative take on "the figurine thing"!! like.. many things to be implied woaw.. i generally think about gangle asking caine for a proper body model she can puppeter and he hands her one of those things, just to feel more? normal/humanoid..? 4 of the cast have humanoid bodies, kinger and gangle kinda being the odd one outs but even so kinger has hands/eyes 'human' things theres also the thought about her cuddling with this thing or experimenting with it haha (i think its canon she has a body pillow??) even if its like.. a joke that weebs have body pillows/ it could also mean shes starve-touched too or looks for physical comfort i would assume, with her sad mask making her passive to do things, she probably shys away from hugging/asking for a comfort, so falls back to her figurine (imagining it as probably ragatha comforting her? or jax if i wanna be bias) ^^^ but anyways! its a nice colored piece! i love gangles lil panicked pose and of course jax being presented there along with his comment...... its peak., sorry if this is alot!!! i thought it'd be a nice addition to include what i like about it! love seeing your ribbun artwork!!

As a cartoon I like to think a lot of his motions have that closeness that slapstick cartoons have. I LOVE these kind of poses.

And try to push-the-pose most with Jax compared to the others to show off his toony nature but I don't think I'm very good at it yet.

2). Haha glad you like that one, I just took the expressions from the original meme though. So not much creativity on my part. Good excuse to draw a happy Gangle.

3). The inspiration for that piece was actually because the interpretation came up during a conversation with @canterbury-bell. I love the idea of Gangle being a little bit of a weirdo one way or another. Maybe she asked Caine for an artist reference originally.

I want to leave what she was doing with that thing up to interpretation but yeah actually! I like to think she wraps around it, makes it a pseudo-skeleton and puppets it around to feel more human and "solid". Which is weird but you can't really blame her! Might not be the only thing she does with it but that's the big one, and probably what she used as defense a when Jax found it but he implies more and Ragatha might have some concerning judgements about it. Especially if uhhh it is/was an active NPC.

i saw this somewhere else but I don't remember where; what would hell's version of winter be like? I remembered your headcanon about alastor getting cold easily and I would just like to share my vision.

so hell has an extreme climate- we know that- so winter is basically Antarctica. not alastor-friendly AT ALL, it only ever happens once in a blue moon in hell so he's never really had to deal with this before. the whump possibilities are endless lmao. all-around suffering for the deer man.

Winter in Hell is quite the phenomena - only occurring around once every century or so. It doesn't stick to a set schedule though (Lucifer still shudders when he remembers that time that they had five winters within the span of a single decade.) They are also completely by surprise: the most notice Hell has ever had for a winter is that the temperature dropped five degrees in one day. The next morning, sinners couldn't even open their doors the snow was piled so high. And of course, it wouldn't be Hell if the winters were the normal length, no. Winters in Hell can be anything from six months to the record of three motherfucking years. The last winter took place in the late 1910s - about a decade or so before Alastor died.

As mentioned in my previous headcanon, Alastor is a Louisiana boy. And Louisiana did not receive a SINGLE FUCKING INCH of snowfall the entire time Alastor was alive (trust me I CHECKED, that shit is WILD). That means a few things. 1.) Alastor has never seen snow in his now 120ish years of existing. 2.) Alastor has never felt anything below 50°F his entire existence. 3.) Alastor is painfully thin, which means his body has no way to preserve heat. And 4.) Alastor does not appear to have any clothing besides his three-piece suit that he wears all the time in Hell's usual blazing temperatures with seemingly no issue. Of course, this means that his suit would do nothing for him in Actual Cold Weather since he's so used to it.

With all of this knowledge, the only conclusion I can draw is that once winter actually hits, Alastor is royally FUCKED. Especially considering that a winter in Hell is compiled of all of the worst things about winter. The cold air is dry, and the wind is sharp and biting - in the way that leaves your face stinging and your hands and lips splitting. Somehow simultaneously, the snow can change between huge flakes and straight-up sleet, which if you've ever been in sleet, you know it sucks major ass.

If someone doesn't give Alastor a heated blanket He Will Die. Alastor makes the mistake of going outside exactly twice (because let's face it, I love him but this man is too prideful to accept that the weather will kill him after only one attempt - he's Just A Bit Dumb). Both times he has to be rescued by someone at the hotel after he almost fucking freezes to death like An Idiot, and he manages to also get hypothermia both times because he refuses to do anything in halves. After he also almost freezes to death in his room (which is how they find out there's a draft), he's not even allowed in there, and they move him to a guest room right next to Charlie and Vaggie's room that Lucifer added a fireplace to. He alternates between the kitchen (the oven is very warm and Food), his room (the fireplace is very warm and the bed is cozy), and the couch in the lobby (the fireplace is very warm and the couch is cozy and also Alastor is antisocially social).

He is cold. He is miserable. He is perpetually shaking like an old chihuahua. Some of the residents thought it was funny at first, but that quickly stopped after the first Almost Death. They have to watch him because Alastor becomes very despondent, and if he stops shivering, he needs to be warmed up again. Alastor is more exhausted during the winter then he has ever been in his entire existence due to all the energy his body is burning trying to stay warm. He's sleeping more than ever, but he looks absolutely terrible - eyebags so dark they look like a goth guy's eyeshadow, hair a mess, and an overall very strained look about him. He also eats a lot less, so he begins losing weight which is the exact opposite of helpful in this situation. It gets to the point where Husk is willingly braving the elements to get to the butcher shop Alastor likes just to get sinner meat so he will hopefully get something in him.

This winter is the first time any of them have ever seen him willingly snuggle up to someone, and it's fucking LUCIFER because this little bastard puts out the most heat because for some reason that it part of being a seraphim. Lucifer for his part just kinda lets it slide because Alastor would probably die if he didn't and that would make Charlie sad. Ok, and he kinda reminds Lucifer of when Charlie was little and would snuggle up to him, but that's no one's business but his own. If he's a little softer with Alastor afterwards, and less easily provoked by the sinner, that is also no one's business but his own.

to be completely honest, i don’t really know how to answer the age gap question myself. its sort of nuanced to talk about but sort of also kind of in the face??? if that even makes sense… but heres my two cents about it: it isn’t necessarily a bad thing because it’s not such a huge gap — but the context of the relationship itself is what matters the most, i believe. for example, meeting each other as adults is perfectly okay because there’s not much of a power imbalance present (which also depends on how you live your lives alongside other factors when it comes to defining a power imbalance within a relationship — but at the end of the day you’re still consenting adults). however, it is obviously a different story when it comes to someone who’s still considered a teen and someone who’s considered an adult being in a relationship, because that'... it’s just weird??? for the lack of a better word 😓 there is NO reason for an adult to be with someone underaged. period.

and if we're going by anton, then a 4 year age gap with him would be very concerning, since he is currently 20 years old and you would be around 16 — which is, like, 11th grade of high school? and please don't listen and follow those other kids who think that getting with someone older than them is a flex or whatever because i promise you that it never works out (and TRUST me because i’ve known and heard from a lot of people from highschool who’ve dated college boys who only date them because they can’t find someone their age 😒), and you are more likely to end up hurting yourself over someone who took advantage of you. it may seem like it's not such a big deal, but please know that adults (like actual adults and not just someone who turned freshly 18) who romance minors are not good people. at all.

and i don’t mean to discourage anyone from liking anton/or any of the riize members if they’re significantly older than you — that’s not my objective at all! i guess i just want to kind of educate people on this??? it’s not a Bad thing to be delusional sometimes, since even i get carried away with my fantasies about kpop idols because i’m only two years younger than my bias haha, but at the end of the day you gotta realize that there are still other significant factors to consider when it comes to something as intimate as romantic relationships! it’s also not bad to be young and obsessing over your fav idols, too, but you have a draw a line somewhere because these are grown men/women who live their lives so differently from us fans and at the end of the day we don’t truly know how they act behind cameras :,)

OH WOW!!!! This is a super late response omg, but YEAH!!! Yeseo's birthday group piece... 🥹

I actually first started drawing it back in 2023 for his previous birthday but the sheer size and ambition of it destroyed me, so I ended up putting it off for an entire year haha,,, But after recently participating in the 2024 JYS Birthday Café as an artist collaborator, I was suddenly reminded of it again while looking through my files :') CedYesChris + Ganael and Élisabeth were already lined out, so I just had to sketch and refine everyone else!

It took me, I think...... 4? 5 days to complete everything (sketching, lining, colouring). Looking back on my IG stories spam I remembered the file on Feb 17th, and I worked on and off before reaching the final day where I put off sleep until a well-documented (via twt and ig whining haha) 6AM to post on the final day of the 23rd. I was a few hours late for his exact birthday wkdjsk but it was worth it! I'm very proud of the piece, so I'm super happy to know you liked it too 🥹 thank you so much!!!!

Hopefully I'll be able to do something of that magnitude again, I adore the entire cast and drawing them would be so fun TTvT

MTG Standard: Store Championship w/ ‘I’m All Ears!’

This past weekend I attended a couple of Store Champions where the textless Urza’s Saga was up for grabs. I didn’t expect to win that but was hoping to Top 8 and get the promo Shark Typhoon. Meanwhile all participants received a promo Monastery Swiftspear. While I had been using my bats deck at Standard events, I recently updated it to more of a mid-range deck and for some reason I preferred to roll out with my Rabbits deck and just have some fun and see if it could compete.

I’m not sure if I had updated it since I played last, but the deck I used on Day 1 was a follows:

The plan is simple: go wide and pump the squad for maximum pain. I added a couple of Haywire Mites in the main as there are just way too many enchantments and artifacts running around Standard.

Match 1: W 2-0 vs Boros Talent

I was fortunate in Game 1 to get both of my Haywire Mites out to blow up an Urabrask’s Forge and a Caretaker’s Talent so the opponent couldn’t get any momentum. Game 2 the additional enchantment removal from my Sideboard was key and my Warren Warleaders were able to build the board quickly even after Sunfall and Temporary Lockdown. The opponent was clearly surprised to have lost to me considering they used multiple board wipes.

Match 2: W 2-0 vs Domain Ramp

Great draws in both matches allowed me to get out quick and enchantment removal helped me free my creatures from Lockdowns and knock aside his Up the Beanstalks to keep him off pace.

Match 3: L 0-2 vs Domain Ramp

This match was the complete opposite of the last one. Game 1 I got wrecked by a Lockdown and valued out by two Up the Beanstalks, unable to find any interaction. Game 2 I was able to keep things even for a while to the point of us both top-decking. Just when I saw a little light with a multi-creature advantage, he drew an Atraxa, Grand Unifier and that was that.

Match 4: W 2-0 vs Golgari Midrange

Game 1 I had to get through two Liliana of the Veils and a Vraska, Betrayal’s Sting, but was able to get wide enough and activate my Restless Prairies for the win. Game 2 I was all over him from the jump, creature after creature into a really wide board. His targeted removal wasn’t enough as my Innkeeper’s Talent ward forced him into inefficient mana use when interacting with my creatures.

Match 5: Draw (Intentional) vs Golgari Midrange

Both of us were in position for a Top 8 finish so we agreed to draw and ensure we stayed there. We did play one game for fun which I won, giving me even more confidence in the deck since he was 3-0-1 at the time.

Overall I finished 3-1-1 (6-2-0 in games played) and took 4th Place out of 22 people.

I was crazy happy that my deck did so well, especially considering such strong deck competition. I got the promos I was hoping for and had a blast (though it was stressful as usual haha). While my deck performed well, I think I need even more enchantment removal main deck. My Case of the Gateway Express really did nothing so that can take a cut. My Virtue of Loyalty was equally irrelevant so I’ll probably look to remove that as well.

The 2nd day did not go nearly as well, so no need for an extensive recap. I finished 1-3-0 and clearly outside the Top 8 in 15th Place.

I think with a few refinements, this can be a viable deck as shown by the Day 1 performance; it rebounds quickly and with enough enchantment/artifact removal can compete as long as you can get wide.

Below is some ramble about my drawing journey ~

I have to thank a friend of mine, who I met during university. She was the one who helped me to find joy in drawing, taught me how to draw anatomy more correctly (I'm still bad at it but I now can see where I do wrong, even though I cannot fix those problems yet lol). I learned a lot watching her drawing in our classes together (we really did not pay attention to class.....). Yeah, she was also the one who pulled me into Hetalia....!

I drew some commissions during this time with dirt cheap prices like $3-$10 for full colored pictures that took me at least 2-3 days to complete lol. Here is the very first commission I made in 2016, I still like it very much (I nuked my dA account so yeah, I have no idea who was the customer for this one...I'm sorry ; - ;; )

My happiest moment was when I gave customer two sketch options and they said they wanted both lol....

Then after Uni, I went to work and was severely burned out...I did drew some arts for HalBarry but it was 5 years ago (wow time flies...). After them, I drew very little to the point of none. It must have been at least 4 years since I was last serious about drawing.

Until the beginning of this year, I got to work from home, yay, I finally have time and pick up my pen again. At this point, I have to thank Patalliro and BanMara for making me pick up drawing again xD!!! Then I fell back into the old pit (yes it's you ZeroX), reading their doujin, seeing all the wonderful artworks and fanfics about them on Pixiv, I suddenly want to contribute too. I love them so I want to draw them out, I want to materialize my plots for them...I want to force people to look at my creations so I post them online haha-

Though my job right now is kinda unstable (good pay for single adult though) and I'm in early mid life crisis of what I really want to do with my life...I like my current situation, it's like my dream job and situation, but as I said, it's not stable, it could end anytime. And at my age (I'm not THAT old but the job market is really harsh where I live), it's really hard to find a new job, but oh well, I guess thing is as good as it gets, I hope teehee

as for my personality, i’m a she/ her infp and a capricorn, to start off :D i think i’m a pretty curious and open minded person. i’m an introverted person who likes to be an ‘audience’ more by nature, but i’m also pretty talkative and affectionate i think. though, when my social battery run out i do tend to become a quiet person who just hang around and listen almost immediately haha ;;;; i’m a pretty idealist person, while also trying my best to be open and understand another point of view. and as i like to think a lot, while it came with its benefits like considerations, sometimes it ended up in some bad habits like 2 am 4 am silent overthinking and putting unnecessary pressure on myself to the point i got cold feet hohoho. however i do recently realize with little reassurance and praises that is convincing to me, i got cheered up almost immediately ahahaha my biggest love language are words of affirmation & acts of service, even though i’m pretty receptive to all! (words of affirmations and acts of service are definitely up there tho <3)

my hobbies include watching movies and videos! animations, indie stuffs, and ‘making you think and reflect’ stuffs especially lately haha. i also enjoy reading, writing, and drawing! (i think, it’s the aspect of ‘learning’ and ‘a story of something’ that interests me the most from these kind of activities) i also likes looking at aesthetically pleasing and pretty pictures and such. i do also enjoy going to new places. my faves are mostly related to art or history! i go alone sometimes, with my friends sometimes too. on my downtime, usually my go to is a long hour of rpg or idle gaming in my room. or scrolling down my phone for random trivia and advices while listening to something ehe

my ideal date would be to hang out, and maybe eat, in a place that is not too fancy, somewhere indoor if i have to choose tho haha. a calm & quiet place my date likes or have fond memory would be nice honestly, like a hole in the wall restaurant or a cafe they often hang out in, for example? a simple, pleasant time is more than enough for me. though, i think as long as i can listen and talk to them, i would be fine anywhere

#146 - Really

This story arc was vaguely inspired by my job experience. I am A manager but not THE manager at my reluctant retail day job, but there's always something stupid happening and I've had to run the place for anywhere between a week to a month or two so many times over the years, so I had a few experiences to draw jokes out of.

#147 - My

Having said that, I feel no ownership or pride of authority, so this one is just fun with characters. In my head, the place that the customer goes to for buying something is just "the till" so I remember it took me a while to come up with, of all things, the words "service counter" - something for Layla to refer to that area by that didn't sound completely unnatural in dialogue.

#148 - Follow

Now this one IS very much based on my own experience going to management meetings and training days. Fleeting moments of inspiration in how to improve things and community with fellow management - followed by immediately getting slammed back down to earth by how hard the ideas would be to implement due to constantly stingy hours and how it's all just about making money in the end.

I remember once pointing out a hypocrisy in a company process during a training meeting. The trainer conceded to my point making sense then came to the conclusion of... "do it like we said anyway". Cool.

The fact that Layla is making notes and paying attention while veteran managers to her left and right doze off was also true to my experience, lmao.

#149 - Help

Very important lore drop here - the addition of the cute little staff only spiral staircase upstairs in the corner of the shop, which was a memorably fun thing to decide "I really want this in Cammie's shop, I'm always fascinated by them when I see them in a shop and ever since I was little always very upset I can't go up and down them" and then realise "right now I have to figure out how to draw that!!". I've checked the blurry backgrounds for the two comics where this corner of the shop was visible before and there wasn't any sign of it, so this is a very light retcon (those blurry backgrounds were very vague anyway though). A rare case of it being more sensible to draw the background in full since it was getting used for all 4 panels, so enjoy some uncensored spiral staircase:

I remember coming up with this joke when a Uni friend was visiting and we were just sort of riffing off each other with work related jokes or something, so this comic takes me back to fond memories of said visit generally!

If you look carefully you can see Layla has already performed her management teleportation spell in panel 3, behind the thief's open jacket.

#150 - Stop

The big 150! Well, it feels like a special number at this stage (250 also feels special, and then after that the 50s don't so much anymore for whatever reason). Either way I decided to do a quadruple lengther!

I haven't always followed this rule but I decided at this time at least, for extra-length comics, I still wanted each "page" to at least vaguely stand-up as a standalone comic too. In that context, the main purpose of going extra length is to keep the pace on a scene which I don't want dragging out across a whole month.

The spot Cammie runs by in this panel is the same one from comic #56, Cammie's footprints permanently a part of this street's history now. I know for sure these two extras in the foreground will show up in a few future comics when I couldn't be bothered to design new ones too.

The "helping the old ladies across the street" part of this chase is one of my favourite comedy scenes I've come up with over the years, I don't remember at all where it came from, I just enjoy it as a reader now, haha! I'm particularly proud his look back and Cammie's responding glare.

On the flipside I wish I could have come up with something a bit more meaningful than just "there is a dead end" to finish the chase but it's not really super important, the seagull joke is the point.

And now for something that hasn't come up in a Trivia post before - significant unused content!

For a short time I was thinking about following the above with a new arc dealing with an actual fallout from the shoplifting incident, with two comics scripted out. It's been years and I've never used or repurposed these so I think it's safe to share them. I reserve the right to still use a variance of these one day if it really feels right for another story though, not everyone reads these trivia posts, haha!

From here the idea was that Bri and Cammie would have had a falling out for a little while (maybe a couple months worth of comics I was thinking) due to Bri, her dearest and most understanding friend, outright calling her stupid in the heat of her deep concern, sort of an expansion of the little moment where Vi genuinely hurt Cammie's feelings by referring to her "rampant idiocy" back in #59 / #62.

But as the deadline to begin work on the #151 approched I just wasn't coming up with anything I liked to follow that thread through, so in the end it didn't happen and we got... *flips page* a comic about Cammie putting a bucket on her head instead! Good stuff.

I still think canonically, Bri wouldn't have approved of Cammie's chase, but in this case she kept her frustrations to herself!

Well, considering I only posted 2 (3 if you count each chapter) things, this will be short!

Unravel Me, Chapter 6: I am sincerely floored all the time by the readers who have continued to read (and reread apparently) this story, especially considering this was my first foray into smut and how long it is taking. Your support means everything to me. 💛

since feeling is first who pays any attention: Me?! Writing canon-compliant?! I have surprised myself in what I've written, wanting to choose the most underrated missed moments and make Ginny her own person. It's stretching my abilities as a writer, and I am excited where the next chapters and Ginny take me.

i'm sure of it by @takearisk-ao3: to be clear I DID NOT WRITE THIS, but since Hannah decided to make me a co-creator, so I wanted to take a moment to thank Hannah for this incredibly thoughtful gift of a missed moment within the Unravel Me universe. It and everyone's warm birthday wishes (@wackus-bonkus-maximus @nuatthebeach @fairsquare16 to highlight a few) led to the best birthday I've had since covid started. 🥹

As always no promises on actually releasing but...

Unravel Me: I have a clear vision of what happens in chapters 7-9, and over 5k words for chapter 7 (they are ROUGH) and some words for chapters 8 and 9. I know I'll release chapter 7 in 2023, but I really hope I get to all three.

unnamed Muggle AU FWB story: Another FWB, Naru? Why, yes. But a very different vibe from Unravel Me - this is college au, slow burn, learning how to smut sloooooowly, Harry trying to teach Ginny how to feel good and, maybe, hopefully, dare to love too.

cat!Harry: Thanks to @annerbhp's encouragement during Nanowrimo to write my most self-indulgent idea ever, I got 12k words of the most ridiculous thing ever. I have no idea how to string it into something coherent, haha but maybe one day I will!

your top 3 biggest improvements in your writing over the past year

Changing Unravel Me's original outline from one that would match a more conventional romance story to one that requires the characters to dig deeper than if they only communicated (but yes, if only they would). While it's deterred my completing new chapters, I do believe it will make the finished product better than originally imagined.

Writing Ginny as her own person during missed moments in canon has been a real stretch for me, the AU writer who likes the safety of not having to get things "just right." Ginny has surprised me with her tenacity, and I have surprised myself with writing reader dramatic irony and creepy scenes.

Writing words. Nanowrimo was awful, but I did get 50k words out. That took a lot of pushing forward even when I didn't like the words instead of letting myself get stuck on a scene. For that reason, I have (bad) drafts of multiple wips, but editing will (hopefully) be much less painful.

usually how long does it take you to finish like those fully rendered pieces? I'm just worried that I take too long complete a piece! 😭😭

another question, have u started a new D&D campaign already? if so, how is it going?

Hmm well it takes me at least three days to finish full pieces and I'd say I am able to draw for 4 hours a day with breaks in between without physical pain (I've had problems with pressed nerves before because U would be drawing for 6-8 hours straight daily. Basically caused a strain injury last year. TAKE BREAKS EVERYONE!!!) soo maybe around 12 to 20 hours depending on the complexity. A portrait takes way less but I'm assuming you mean like pieces with backgrounds and multiple characters.

So honestly don't worry about it! Depending on your goals as an artist taking long can be a god thing and is expected if you're making fully rendered pieces. Also taking breaks in between is important and actually helped me improve even though at first I was so frustrated with how long it took to finish anything.

And about the dnd campaign! Honestly so sweet of you to ask about that haha. I am still in the process of planning my campaign and I'd say I've only gotten to baby steps when it comes to the plot 💀 but I am determined to have fun and create a fun experience for my players.

Translation of Sing in the darkness from ‘Helios Rising Heroes’, a new side arc alongside the current main story arc Like the dawning light.

Sage: On the last day we gathered at Sensei’s house… It wasn’t too obvious but something was strange about Sensei at that time too

Nico: Ah, on the day of the Loup En Cro��te?

Bianchi: He was acting like he usually does as far as I remember… 

Sage: I talked with him for a little while before dinner. When I entered his room, he put his tablet down on the desk and turned it face down… 

Sage: The way he acted was nothing out of the ordinary, yet… somehow it felt as if he was telling me how he doesn’t want anyone to touch it… 

Bianchi: Did you not ask him anything at the time?

Sage: Only if something had happened. But he dodged the question like he normally does… 

Nico: A tablet.. 

Nico: …Huh, Sage?

Sage: Hm?

Nico: Your wrist, it’s the rosary

Sage: Uh-huh…

Bianchi: You took it off within your psychological world, but that’s only relevant there

Bianchi:  In reality, it stayed on Sei-chan’s wrist. 

Nico: ----Licht

Nico: Is that boy an acquaintance of yours?

Sage: No, as far as I know. I met him for the first time there

Bianchi: Oh dear, is that so? I thought he appeared because it was someone you knew. Like in the way Akira-chan and Brad-san did… 

Nico: Someone Bianchi or Jude-kun knows then?

Bianchi: I have no idea

Jude: Also drawing a complete blank here

Nico: …Strange

Sage: Speaking of it… When that boy got swallowed up by the blackhole, it felt extremely realistic. 

Sage: It was as if the scene of Sensei getting swallowed up played over again, I remember how terrified I got… 

Sage: I’m getting kind of worried suddenly… I wonder if he’s okay, Licht-kun… 

Jude: All of that happened in your mind. Which means he’s fine, yeah? Besides he could be some made up character in your head, and not even exist in reality to begin with. 

Jude: That blackhole did stay in the sky the entire time, but there were also a lot of moments that differ with reality. 

Sage: T-true…

Bianchi: Robin wasn’t there at the time, right? 

Nico: Yeah, he didn’t appear in Sage’s world

Bianchi: But, that blackhole world was made by Robin in the real world, no? 

Sage: That’s right…

Bianchi: Robin isn’t there, yet the blackhole is, and instead of Robin, Licht-kun got swallowed up by it… 

Bianchi: I can’t believe he only exists over there when laying it out like this… 

Sage: …..

Sage: Here, you can have it

Licht: Ah…

Sage: I’m not sure if it will work for you too, but it might give you a piece of mind instead, no?

Sage: C’mon, gimme your hand

Licht: …. Don't you need it anymore?

Sage: Eh…?

Sage: It’d be good if he wasn’t caught up in any kind of trouble though…

Nico: You won’t be able to move freely for a while, we’ll do the investigating instead

Nico: If possible, until we get to the bottom of it

Bianchi: As he says, Sei-chan. The research department is a given, but there’s a chance the higher-ups will come to ask all sorts of things too

Hey there!! Thank you for the kind ask (this is Zanthe's "Main" blog) I didn't want to reply to it directly because i'd like to keep it in my inbox to treasure, but I wanted to say thank you. It truly means a lot!

We are 🤝 over rarepairs in this tiny little fandom, though I do admit I love the anonymity nowadays! I've been here for years and it's very comfortable and nice being an older, more obscure artist lol.

I do recommend at the very least, sitting down and writing down your amv ideas. There are many i've never drawn, but i have a ton written down to chip away at the day I have the energy to, and it's very good to keep those ideas with you, i hope you're able to realize them one day, I'd love to see them!

Also, I'm glad my checklist can be of help!! If you're curious, it took about 4 days to make it, in which i was completely hyperfixated on it!spreadsheets my beloved. Good luck on your project!! If you'd ever like to chat, feel free to send a message ^w^ have a lovely day

Oh I really appreciate the advice! The fact that you think my ideas are worth preserving is very kind of you haha :) I'm very much the type who gets random inspiration at 3 AM or while eating dinner, and would otherwise forget my epiphanies if I didn't write them down. So ever since I was a kid I made a habit of it! Although back then I used pencil and paper haha, but now I have a 22-page-long semi-organized google doc. The AMV outlines are in there somewhere! Knowing there's even one person out there who wants to see something I've made or plan to make is an incredible feeling, thank you so much ;v;

Anyway, how did you learn to animate and make AMVs? And what drawing software do you use? If you don't mind me asking of course!

Oh thank you again for that checklist!! Wow 4 days seems like nothing compared to how extensive it is, that's amazing! I've been working on my own Xenoblade excel sheet project for a long time now, and it took me months and months to get that near completion. But if you're much better at organizing/planning than I am it saves a ton of time, I went through like 3 major restructurings of stuff that took days to finish... only to redo everything like a week later haha

And you're also very kind to read my silly tags and wish me luck on my project!! (It's a different one from before haha, that one is a comprehensive list of when all the party members' and bosses' voice lines play and under what circumstances. I'll be making it public on the upcoming anniversary!) For this other one, it's a challenge run of XC1 of sorts! But I have a dumb irrational fear that if I go into detail about what it is, someone else will swoop in before I get a chance to do it myself and take the world-first credit of it hahaha. But one day I will do it, I really want to, and your checklist will be immensely super helpful in planning my route and keeping track of everything, so thank you again! up-dates!!!

1st off!: got my visa!!! finally!!!!!! actually, i got it on Wednesday but never found the energy to write here haha. oh! i graduated on Friday too and somehow talked the school into refunding the rest of the tuition. so everything went great in the end.

but seriously. i haven't write in so long, and i'll try my best this morning(rainy Sunday vibes yay!) to cover as much as possible. ok moving on---

i've been drawing/sketching on and off, and it sorta feels like a habit. lighthearted efforts and ease, something i rarely experience w/ making art since...since high school.

i've been updating more consistently on my blogs/twitter now. i got some response. some. not as much as one'd wish haha. but honestly, i felt so grateful that people are liking my stuff.

on the other hand, the job hunting has been going... well it has been going! not a ton of jobs being posted out there since early March, and i'm starting to realize that i'm only pretending to be really wanting certain positions. i got so accustomed to idea of working as a researcher/scientist, but. man. wasn't that why i left school in the first place, that i fucking hate it despite pouring ~10 years of my life into it and seemed to be going somewhere. having bright prospects and all. now that i knew. well. i need a little more time to think and un-think, to not rush ahead, and be complete honest w/ myself. getting the visa means i got all the time i want. so again, all worked out in the best way possible.

oh yea! birthday coming up in couple weeks! woo hoo! been planning a little overnight trip somewhere! probably 軽井沢 or 伊豆高原. idk! haven't gone anywhere not Tokyo/Yokohama since early Jan, and traveling alone is totally my thing! actually, growing older is so much cooler than i'd thought when i was in my early 20s. but like. past me: imagining feeling more grounded, taking things less seriously, and being more in tune with urself.

( i went to the 4D special viewing of prisoner of Azkaban and man---it worked so well w/ the 4D format. i mean it is the rainy/icy snowy one of the 8, so a lot of spraying water on your face situations! i was wearing a wide grin the whole time i guess. it was so much fun. that being said, i def shed a few tears near the end when harry realized no one's coming to save the two of em, so he stepped out and did what he didn't even know he's capable of. a scene my younger self never managed to relate to. but it def resonates now.

Coming Attractions!

First Monday of the month, so here we go.

As per usual, this also means an open question night--my askbox is always open, but I'll be actively keeping an eye on it tonight. I do take prompts, but am not necessarily fast in filling them. Any fandom I've posted about here or on AO3 is fair game, as is any of my original stuff.

Short one this month, because I didn't get much done last month, whoops...a big work project took up more brainmeats than I expected it would, ah well.

Mostly moved, mostly everything is sorted; a few things I still need to finish organizing/putting away/etc. But that should also free up some brainspace hopefully!

Anyway. Actual updates.

Star Wars:

Pretty much the same as last week--need to catch up on OTP meme fills; poking back at my original plan for last year's SWBB so I can use it for this year. Not a lot of progress, but hopefully this month will be better!

BSG:

Big Bang matches have gone out! I'm excited to see how everything turns out. And hopefully get actually back into writing the many plotlines that are floating around in my head, lol...particularly The Other Battlestar which still needs an Official title and has been waiting to come out of my head and get Shared for like. over a year. even discounting the like 8-10 year gap when I wandered away from the fandom...

I should be picking up my rewatch soon, too! I have the back half of season 3, plus season 4, and maybe the webisodes (I have access to Face of the Enemy but not Resistance, so we'll see if I actually watch those). Which does mean we're coming up on my absolute least favorite episode in the entire series, haha. I haven't even gotten to it yet and I'm already mad about it (and have found an Additional Reason to be mad about it that I hadn't had before! Yay!) But also after that I get Lampkin, who I love, and while season 4 is a mess in terms of cohesion/continuity it has some of my very favorite episodes in the entire series, So.

Castlevania:

I haven't actually sat down and watched Nocturne yet (mostly because of the aforementioned work stuff), so I haven't quite fallen back into this fandom yet. I do want to get back to Incinctus, and I had one other plot thread idea for another fic based on the first series (essentially, shifting Alucard's S3 timeline by six weeks so the night Sumi and Taka plan to attack him is the same night Greta's messenger gets there, and then see where things go from there).

It's kind of interesting--I have approximately zero knowledge of the games, apart from a few bits and pieces I've picked up from reading fics and/or hanging out on a discord server. Which, of course, has been talking a lot about Nocturne...but almost entirely in the context of how it relates to the game characters/plotlines it's drawing from. Which means I'm both...more and less hyped for it? I don't know, I'm not sure how to word how it's impacted my interest/excitement/etc. for the followup series, because a lot of the comments about certain characters/choices completely fly over my head but they Dominate the server and I'm like "...okay?"

Anyway, we'll see how I feel about it when I watch the series. And if I do end up building a VC crossover in my head (because like. armand and the theatre are right there and while I was able to confine myself to a quick Easter Egg reference in Incinctus...lol.)

Les Mis:

The next chapter of P&J is coming, I swear. Also planning to debut Acheron this month because...I mean I know it's technically a Groundhog Day AU set in June, but it feels appropriate to start posting it around Halloween? IDK XD

Again I do need to catch up on OTP memes. I do like the one piece I put out this month, which was about the Horsemen in Lux. They're a Delight and I love them.

...yeah, that's about it. Like I said, short post this month because I didn't get much actual writing done last month. Hopefully October will be better for me (if nothing else, hopefully I actually will catch up on all the backlogged OTP Meme fills, lol...)
