Wolf Point really got scaled back over time from the grand ambitions that have been proposed for that area over the years. To me, Chicago has long lost the crown of architectural daring and pioneering spirit regarding visual legacies (each building built and seen from afar). I remember going down the Dan Ryan back in the day (or LSD) and thinking, "What will the skyline of the 2020s look like?" It definitely is still a great sight but the awe inspiring works, the skycraping daring... It just doesn't fuel the imagination as it once did. This Salesforce Tower, as it will be known, could have been a true visual legacy to inspire daring, appreciation, and wonder. Instead, it already seems ho hum. The building that bears tRump's name just packs a visual punch down Wabash.
