what have you thought of the new KF episode? things got intense at the end..

Loved it loved it loved it, the cast nailed it like always and I am currently shoulder’s deep in these emo feelings towards HFB3/Harrison. 

Don’t read if you aren’t caught up with KFAM eps

First and foremost, HFB3 has always been my favorite villain in the show but this episode absolutely solidified it by that heartwrenching ending. He always seemed more like a cartoony threat/villain than an actual one. Gunderson/Grisham/Frickard had all done horrible and prominent things to the gang and they stand out as the “oh no! watch out for that bastard” villains because they actually dealt damage. 

But as far as I can think of, HFB3 was always just the cranky old bastard up in his mansion who just casually threatened the boys but didn’t actually do anything. Sure, he bought up all the xmas trees one year and he sends them threatening white roses every year and is a high key sexist with his himinest ways, so of course, he’s a bad guy, but he was never THE bad guy. He’s even one of the main reasons we got Emily back and I’m pretty dang sure he was the reason Sammy didn’t blast off into space with the rainbow lights on that sammiversary because it was his laser that shot down the UFO. So yeah, he’s done some bad, but in his way, he also inadvertently did some good too. Hence the old-timey cartoon villain that lives on the mountain and only comes out at night.

But then we got that third Wright On ep, and everything changed. HFB3 wasn’t just a cooky mean old man on the mountain. He was an immortal, broken man who had descended into madness after the devastating loss of his wife and children all in the span of 2 days. His twins died in a horrible accident and were involved in some kind of horrible magic spell gone wrong, and out of grief for their children, his wife, and one true love commits suicide. Leaving him completely alone with nothing but his cold money and blood-stained hands for the rest of eternity. I mean, could you even imagine?

I’ve seen a lot of people try to say that Harrison chose to be the cruel man he was and he could have absolutely led a better and kinder life and didn’t have to turn out as cruel as he did,,,, but,,,, did he really? Can you imagine, your two young and innocent children, taken from you and then also used against you as payback for the crimes you committed. And then your wife, the love of your life, the one you ran away from everything you ever knew with, the one you choose to start your new life with and the one who loved you more than anything, decides to take her own life because living was too much heartache to bear, and leaves you truly and utterly alone. 

Would you have love after that? Would you be able to take anything but hatred for the world away from this situation? Harrison had everything and then lost everything. Sure, he had money and wealth and status and land, but what was the point of it all if he couldn’t share it with the only people he truly ever loved.

It makes complete sense that he turned out as cruel as he did. But still, he never really was anything more than a mean old thorn in the boys’ side. 

Until this last episode, when he truly got to see where Harrison’s flag flies. He doesn’t care about the town. He doesn’t care about reputation. He literally doesn’t care at all. All he has is the hatred he’s kept boiling and frothing deep in his heart and that’s probably the most threatening anyone has ever been to the boys. HFB3 can’t be reasoned with at this point. Every other villain in a sense wanted something and could have been reasoned with to back down. HFB3 will never get what he wants, for his family to come back, so he’ll literally can’t and won’t be reasoned with.

He’s just a loose feral canon now, and that’s fucking terrifying, because he could essentially do anything he wants to destroy the boys and what they have going for them and really no one would be able to stop him.

HFB3 is my favorite villain and Harrison is such a fun and complex bastard and I love exploring the boundaries of his character arc and his slow descent into madness. I can’t wait to see what the crazy fool will do and what will happen now that war has officially been declared.

so i binge-listened to king falls am a few weeks ago and then, as is my habit, i came back to it for a relisten a couple of days ago

(it’s a problem, i relisten to everything, at least i listened to something else and waited a week or so this time)

anyway, in the episode where storm comes back, did i miss something in all the ruckus or is sammy left inside with the skinwalker? when he asks if ben is okay ben says ‘i was 20 feet into the parking long and hiding behind your car’, so he got out, but i think sammy is semi-conscious in his seat when ben gets back?

so really he could have been taken by the skinwalker. should have been. walt says it fled when it realized it was cornered, but we also know it only takes one look into its eyes. it had time.

much later, during the third sammiversary, sammy is unable to enter the void--or the void is unable to consume him. he is also pursued by the ufo, but at the last moment it turns away from him and goes after the station.

when i first listened to that i sort of assumed the station was the ufo’s target, and the void rejecting sammy could have had something to do with jack. twice is a coincidence, after all.

but going all the way back to the skinwalker thing? three times is a pattern, and it’s a pattern stretching back almost to the first sammiversary.

i’m not sure if sammy is The One (i seem to recall debbie telling him to find or talk to The One? but i’m not at those eps again yet, so i’m not sure. if she did she either doesn’t know who The One is or knows it’s not sammy)

but i think sammy is protected by something. he’s not protected from everything (like getting punched in the face), but it sort of seems like the biggest and most dangerous paranormal evils can’t touch him

so the question remains: who is sammy stevens?
