Character Tuesday, Solar's Man Harem!
Just gonna jump right into it.
Main House:
Stag is king.
Right hand man, Will Herondale from the Infernal devices series by Cassandra Clare. He is smart, he can be sweet, he pushes people away (naturally), a bookworm, and you wouldn't suspect any of these things based on his personality, an arrogant bully. I absolutely love him and he deserves all the love. Just gotta break through the surface first.
Left hand man, Percy freaking Jackson. I love him, okay? I feel him on so many levels. He loves showing off, but doesn't feel good enough. Never looks before he leaps, but man does he commit to that leap. Loyal to a fault. I fell in love with him when I read his series and I just had to have him. Part of him likes being the center of all the prophecies. The other is absolutely terrified. And I love all of it.
Syaoran from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles was the first to enter. Without spoiling too much hopefully, "Syaoran" is the one I mean, okay? If you've read the manga, you know what I'm talking about. In ways, he should be in the day care (I'll explain in a bit) but he's much more useful around the house and I'll explain that bit later too. Also, he's just so sweet. 💙
I adopted Kyo from Fruits Basket because someone should. He's fiery and funny and cute and angsty and just needs a hug. And he cooks, so I have taken him. And I would hug him all the time. 😀 Specifically because he hates it. 😆
Yato God! From Noragami. And he has his own shrine in the back yard because I want him to always have a home and to know he will never be forgotten, ever, at least by me. I just, I love him so much. I love him. Ugh, I love him. He deserves all the good things. All of them, I tell you!
Honorable Mentions/Waitlist:
The Flash/Barry Allen, Grant Gustin version. I like him more in the first few series, but he's not really just an honorable mention. He's frequently in and out of the house doing speedster things. He's quirky and funny and I'd love just talking to him all day about nerdy stuff. I mean, you've read my My World Monday posts, right? He'd totally help me science out all of my fantasy realm. But... his true love is Iris, and I'm a sucker for unrequited love. So in and out until one day he just stops coming because she finally gave him the time of day. 💔
Damon Salvatore, Vampire Diares. Um, if there was ever a Stag in human (ish) form, it was this guy, but he's straight. Still sexy as hell though, and he can visit whenever he wants. 💙 He really needs to leave the drama wherever it's at though; I feel like he has a lot. >.>
Dean Winchester, Supernatural. Another sexy sexy guy! Honestly, I like the idea that he's still a free spirit though, and there's no way I could get him to settle, so I'll be the one to visit him. Frequently. But he's always welcome. I just don't think he's quite the right fit for what I'm looking for though. Doesn't mean he isn't fun. 😉
Mushra, Shinzo. He used to be in the main house, but I'm just not really attracted to him anymore. He doesn't qualify for the day care and he's quite fiery, but he has to at least be here because I just can't let him go, especially with the tiny fandom Shinzo has. And he's got a good heart. :') So honorable mentions it is.
Karma Akabane, Assassination Classroom. Okay, he would raise hell if I let him in, so he's staying on the waitlist. Of all the people in this section, he's the only one who's "on the waitlist" because I feel like he'd be constantly trying to break in to wreak some havoc and my boys would be trying to chase him out with the broom. 😆 But part of me kinda likes this, so I think it's sort of perfect where he's at, the "waitlist".
Inuyasha is another one that I stopped really being attracted to, so he's an honorable mention. I also thought he'd hate the idea of "being owned" so it works out for the best, but he'll always have a place in my heart. Such a tsundere…
Day Care:
Gerit, OC. He's a good dog and I really just wanna take care of him and pet him on the head all the time because he likes it. 💙 Very easy to please, and so cute.
Deshi, OC. He's very upset about being in the day care, but all I gotta do is set up an awesome game room with all his favorite games and send him food stuffs and he's happy. And he's okay with this, so he "accepts" it. Begrudgingly, lol. Hates that it's called the "Day Care" though, but I find it's most apt.
Fushi, To Your Eternal. I want to teach him all the things and I can totally see him latching onto someone and following them around like a little duck and just being cute all the time and I just want him in my day care so I can teach him all the things and he can be the ultimate squish. 💙💙💙 Cuteness overload! AHHHHHHH!
Explanation:
The Main House is basically characters that I'm attracted to that if I were their age or vice versa, I'd very much want to be with them. The reason Stag is king is because I don't care if I'm with him, or if I am him. I consider him to be sort of my alter ego if I were I guy, and because of the closeness, that's why he's king, and no one can replace him. A similarity between the five in the house (we're excluding Percy in this case, he's pretty loyal either way) is that if you happen to earn your way into their heart, they are loyal to you to the end. All of them share this trait, and all of them have built up walls for one reason or another that makes them hard to reach, and I just want so much to be the one that reaches them.
The Honorable Mentions/Waitlist means that for one reason or another, they don't qualify to be in the Main House, but I still love them dearly. And then there's Karma. He's here more for fun and like I said, it just sorta works where he is, lol.
The Day Care is for characters that I have adopted and wish only to take care of them because their lives are really fucked up and/or they are just so innocent and I want so much to protect them. They are my squishes and I luff them with all my heart! They just need to be taken care of properly. 😤
And that's my man harem! Like I said, very selective. Anyone surprised by someone on the list? Surprised others aren't on the list? Have suggestions? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading. ^^
PS, I hope I didn't forget anyone. Like Mushra and Inuyasha, it took me a minute to remember them because they aren't as active in my head, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. I hope I'm not forgetting anyone.

@redlineoffate asked: Mushra approached her from behind and hugged her. "I love you. Let's run away from Kutal and Sago and have a picnic or something like that?" // Mushra @ Yakumo
Gardening for the inn was an easy task that Yakumo adored to partake in to help levy the cost of their stay within. It was enough to keep her occupied, the blooming pink petals captivating her attention enough that she did not hear Mushra encroach upon her until it was too late, his grasp ensnaring her in a loving embrace. A small gasp emanated from her, yet her form relaxed against him as she turned, nuzzling into the side of his cheek.
“I love you too, Mushra.” She breathed, her hands coming up to rest above his own, gently grasping them and giving a small squeeze. “You always want to run away from them.” She giggled, her lids closing before she nodded. “I’d really like that, you know. It feels like we haven’t had much time together, just the two of us, since before I…” Yakumo trailed, her body slightly tensing before she shook it off. Patting his fingers, she easily turned in his grasp, wrapping her own arms around his frame.
“The kitchen should have some things for sandwiches we can pack before we go look for a good spot.” Her lips pressed gently against his forehead, relishing the sensation. “We can go as far away as you like, Mushra.”

Snake of Golden Wings
This is a story of how a mother molded a man.
Please be advised of the following tags: tw death, tw mental abuse, tw abuse, tw child abuse. Readmore for content and length.
Within Rusephine’s domain, good fortune had always been categorized by the colors white and gold. When the queen had produced a pearly egg, the kingdom had rejoiced, thinking her to have consummated a relationship with a new found king after three hundred years of rule. Whispers of a visitor from the Reptile Kingdom joining Rusephine had come to fruition when Gyasa, prince of the Snakes, had been discovered leaving behind the woman and egg he had helped borne into this world to return to his jungle.
There was no celebration when there was no King to accompany their Matriarch. No merriment when the egg shifted towards a gold, then twisted to a green sheen across its shell. Only fear erupted, when the crown prince emerged from the cracks in his birth casing. Golden hair dribbling down his face, and green eyes pupiless stared up at his mother, who glowered at the hatching of her only child.
Ensuring he imprinted upon her, Rusephine made eye contact merely once in the birthing room to bestow the hatchling a name: Osiris, the ancient human god of death. Then, with a purposed step, turned away from her newborn son, never to meet his gaze again for the next few years.
As a young child, he only aimed to impress his mother, to get her to look upon him with a smile without any success. Whether he made small drawings, or behaved well, nothing but a scowl was given before his mother would retire into her locked room, incapable of penetration by any aside whom Rusephine allowed.
His tiny wings began to flourish, the golden color predicted by his egg’s hue giving them a glittering color as he tried to flap and use them, honing his skills for flight. His body grew lanky, his tail stretching to accommodate his form, but the reptilian aspects taking form. Points along his canines, the skin that sloshed off of him in baths, his pointed ears coated with soft scaling.
Of course, there were those eyes that even the servants within the palace would not look directly upon.
Once Osiris managed to hover for more than a few seconds, he requested an audience with his mother. A proud child of five, able to hover longer than any else who had wings double his age, displayed the ability before his mother in the royal throne room. As she stared upon her creation, Rusephine’s face was cemented into a frown before she extended her hand, her feathers shooting out and surrounding his wings.
“No monster like you should be flying without permission.” Her voice echoed in the hall, striking his chest hard. Pain began to surge through his wings, his mother’s feathers crackling with a hellish static. A cry resounded in his head, only to realize it was his own screech as the power from the General took to his wings. Suspending them in time, they no longer grew, stumped, and the pain was blinding as he fell to his knees.
Nothing hurt more than the pain of being considered a monster.
Months began to pass and with the inability to fly, Osiris had become trapped within the palace. Creeping about and exploring new ways to make his home more interesting, Osiris stumbled upon guests that had been invited to their home. They were humanoid, one of them very pregnant. They had come to check up on his mother. A meeting of the Generals, as it would be later told to him by his room’s guard.
Crawling out of the vent in his room and to peer upon the meeting, eight adults surrounded a table, the boy finding it fascinating. All different people with so many names, Osiris had only ever seen bird-like Enterrans before. One was a large Taurian of sorts, one aquatic, one that seemed like a lion, one armored and bug like, a blond like him, who had fearsome green eyes. Then, there were the two humanoids.
The brunette, who began to speak, sounded kind. “Rusephine, Osiris seems to be growing very well. You should send him to Shindou sometime.” A gentle pat to her swollen stomach. “Koyakumo will need someone to look after her.”
“He is not some caretaker for your spawn, human.” Rusephine spoke flatly, riling the male humanoid before letting out a sigh. “I will consider visiting your little village when he is older. He needs to be taught his duties first.”
A huff came from the blond man, who crossed his arms and frowned at the Bird Queen. “He ought to learn it from his father. After all, my cousin may have his own quirks, but you did allow him into your chambers without any consult.”
A fist slammed down on the table, eclipsing the small gasp from the rafters, feathers bristled, but the woman was smiling. “Ryuma, you know I dislike mention of him at these meetings. Shall we move on from talking of our progeny, when you have none after your failure to make the human your bride?”
The silence that fell upon them was ignored as Osiris began to shift quietly away. He had a father. A father! He wanted to know more and plotted to greet the guests as soon as they left.
Crawling back to his room and bursting out of the room he had been sequestered in, the boy rushed down the hall, encountering the group as they began to exit. The female human had spotted him, and tugged on the male’s arm at her side, beckoning him to look. The violet haired man turned, the small child coming only to his knee.
“May I…May I visit you?” He blurted out. “You and your egg?” He pointed towards the brunette’s stomach causing laughter to ring from the woman as she nodded.
Smiling down upon the boy, she leaned down, gently patting his head. “Come any time you like, Osiris.”
A gasp emitted from his tiny frame. “You…know my name?” The two nodded, before Ryuma began to encroach.
“I’m sure Rusephine calls him something quite different.” As the woman’s hand began to move away from his golden locks, the man’s fingers extended down, giving him a small tap along the head. “I’m sure the boy hasn’t heard his name in years.”
“Ryuma!”
“Don’t scold me, huma—Yakumo.” A glance towards the male beside the woman made Ryuma reconsider his words. “Just because Mushra has bested me before does not make me wrong.” A turn and wave to them before he walked beyond the large doors, leaving behind the couple that had stopped. Both of them offered a smile to him before waving and giving pursuit to the other general.
Osiris stood in awe for a moment. A smile, a kindness. His name. It was all so new, his clawed fingers coming to touch the top of his head where he had been patted and given affection. Yet, it still felt empty; he only yearned it from his mother.
Sneaking out into the world had become common place for him when his mother’s attention was distracted by the Generals—people she had come to learn and understand their roles in the world as he grew—and met with the people in the city. Most were afraid of his appearance, but appreciated the help he could muster to them, from carrying groceries, to helping people with household chores.
Finally, cultivating enough bravery from those he helped, Osiris mustered enough strength to approach his mother once more. To ask to fly to this place that had been established: A city called Shindou.
“Alone? Little monster, are you mad?” Rusephine scoffed before looking away. “Guards—“
“Mother, if I am to be a good heir, don’t I need to see the world?” That was what he had deemed his role as a prince was, to become the successor to her throne. To make her proud. With how suddenly the Queen was upon him, her fingers digging into his face to the point he feared he might bleed and the rage swirling in her eyes, Osiris realized in an instant he had been far too mistaken.
“You are not my heir. I will rule for all time, do you understand?” A hastened nod that made her grip tighten painfully was made from his frame. “Good. Now, we can put this to rest—“
“If I see this place, I can become of better use to you!” Osiris sputtered out, his mother releasing his face and staring upon her son as he began to explain. “I…I can fly there and we can use this.” Plucking one of his small feathers, he knelt down and offered the golden gift to her. “My power can communicate with you. I can tell you if they are plotting anything. So that way, no one can challenge your authority!”
Silence fell between them, only the sound of the guard’s armor shifting nervously as Rusephine inspected the feather. Finally, her hand came down, placing firm upon his crown. “What a good little thing you are, thinking of your mother.” Slipping her hand away, Osiris was able to peer up, seeing his mother, wings expanded, and a smile stretched across her features. Truly, she was angelic and the boy felt weak before her.
“Let’s restore those wings of yours, my little monster.”
Shindou was a wondrous place to Osiris. All sorts of people were bustling around and finding the two who led the city—Mushra and Yakumo—hadn’t been easy. Practically lost, it was a small voice that had found the boy. “Hello!” Sounding akin to a chirp, confusion filling the prince as he glanced about, only for the voice to beckon once more. “Down!” It offered out.
The boy dipped his head, finding a violet haired child bowing to him before lifting up and smiling broadly. “Birdy!” She giggled out, he furrowing his brows in confusion until the girl pointed at his wings. “Mama said to find birdy!”
Once he arrived at the home of the Generals, Osiris had learned that was not what Yakumo had told the child, Koyakumo. Instead, she had told her to find someone with wings, but the three year old barely knew what that meant, so her father had clarified it was like a bird.
Osiris already felt tired and he had just arrived. Feeling as if this might have been a mistake, he turned, but his shirt was tugged on by the child, beckoning him to look back at her. When he did, he expected her to cower, just as all other children did. But instead she stared in awe at him, her mouth forming a circle in surprise. “Birdy has pretty eyes!” She cheered out, boy’s cheeks turning a bright red with a sputter.
It was a first, and the woman, Yakumo, swooped in to garner her child. “Forgive her, she speaks her mind ever since she learned to talk. Reminds me of someone I know.” A playful gaze was thrown to Mushra who chuckled. “Make yourself at home, Osiris.”
Home. That was what Shindou became for the boy.
Especially when it was where his father could meet him without the hounding from his mother.
Osiris had not held up his end of the bargain, instead giving his mother some information, but not all of it. Some that had been withheld was that of meeting with Gyasa within Shindou’s walls. It had been his mother that banished the prince from seeing his egg, and truthfully, the man seemed grateful. As Osiris grew towards a man, the more and more he realized the Snake Enterran would never have offered more than simply conflict within his life.
But the rebellion felt nice. The doors began to open to Osiris and upon his sixteenth year, he was openly helping the city, quelling their fears of him and instead his connections began to rise, not only of the other nobles, but of the common people. However, no matter what, any say of his succession was squashed, his mother always on the tip of his silver tongue.
She only left his mouth when his chambers were filled, those wishing to taste royalty, and deprived as he was, Osiris welcomed them, even without any enjoyment of his own. They smiled at him and relished his presence.
Even if they avoided his eyes.
The playboy was settled in his life, at least, until a visit when he was seventeen, and Gyasa had brought with him an attendant that wanted to meet his lord’s son. Older than him, the man was a reptile Enterran, a long green tail and scaling around his eyes and shoulders. His golden eyes were enticing, and despite being within the center of Rusephine’s domain, Osiris welcomed his father and his guest, Dipil, into the palace for the former to have conference with his mother.
The latter? Within days has Osiris wooed and welcoming him into lover’s embraces, all other expelled from his chambers in favor of his lover.
For the first time in years, things had seemed to be going well for the man, he was in love. He finally felt like the walls of the palace were a safety, not a prison. He could relish his company and fall asleep in his arms. A blissful dream.
But nothing more than that.
On the eve that Gyasa was to depart, a small glimmer of steel reflected the moonlight that filtered into the prince’s chambers. Dipil awoke the naïve man with blade to his throat, threatening to end his existence. He was a danger to those in the reptile kingdom. A posed false king among those in the actual ranks who worshiped his father. “Who could ever really love a monster like you?” A hissed out insult that snapped the last thread of hope in his heart.
“I do.”
The woman’s voice radiated, the reptile hissing as he was lifted up from atop his former lover’s frame, instantly his limps being split by razor sharp feathers. Blood rained from above, splattering the prince with crimson, which cleared only when tears rushed down his cheeks, leaving pale streaks in their wake. His mother stood at the door, holding the feather he had given her years before. “I never trusted this man. Finish this, Osiris.”
A command from his Queen, his mother, Osiris could not refuse. His body moved on its own, green stare unable to break away from Dipil. A trembling hand reached for his longer feathers, intending to turn them to steel, as the barely living man whispered from above. “…I’m sorry. I love you.”
Before Osiris could strike, the man disintegrated into a card, which felt helplessly through the air and landed upon the floor. The prince crumpled to the ground, weakened, and Rusephine rushed in, wrapping her arms and wings around him, pulling his feeble frame close to her chest.
“It’s alright now.” Tears were renewed along his face, confusion lighting his features as his mother hugged him. “This is why you should listen. Why you should never leave. People will want to kill you, no matter how much good you do in this world. Do you understand why?”
Shaking his head, Osiris couldn’t comprehend. He had done everything, given everything, done everything to know what love was. Rusephine smiled, leaning close to his ear with a small whisper.
“Because you’re a monster that only I can love.” Her smile turned wicked as the light began to dim from Osiris’ eyes. “Do as I say, stay here with me, and we can rule this world, together. Have whatever toys you want, but in the end?” Pulling her face back and placing her hand on his bloodstained cheek, the boy unable to divert his gaze from the woman’s. “I shall give you whatever you wish, as long as you obey me. None else shall suffer this fate.” Her wing brushed against the fallen card, scratching into it. “As long as you be a good little monster and offer me all of your power whenever I call upon it.” Her smile turned tender, a gentle stroke of her thumb against his cheek. “Do you understand, Osiris?”
“Yes…Mother.”

@maskedmuses (for Yakumo)
He might’ve been content with things as they were, all implications and actualities considered. Everything aboard the Sunspire was running just as smoothly as it should be, and it was as he preferred it to be. Even Finnian and Tjarron were minding their own business, at opposite ends of the room and entirely ignoring each other, which was fine in the Captain’s opinion. It meant they weren’t aggravating each other and by extension giving him another splitting headache. Marquis, too, was quietly and contentedly occupied with his own matters.
Golems clattered and moved about, but they were as they should be. Busy, with their particular jobs aboard the ship. Like a well-oiled machine, with every cog in its place, and everything ticking along in a proper rhythm. At least.. That was until it opened, right in front of them. A Warp, a rift in the veils between each parallel realm, and he had no time to redirect his vessel to avoid it. Instead, he was forced to clench the wheel, teeth bared as he fought to keep steady in the abruptly wild currents pulling them in.
“Damn it! Damn it all to the four corners!”
“Cass! Can you get us outta this?!”
“Of course not! It opened too quickly and the current’s too strong!”
“But we’ll drop into another world! We don’t know what-”
“Finnian, will you shut your trap and help me rather than fuss!” It was a fight against the wheel, taking all his strength to keep them steady. “I know the implications! I know how dangerous it may be, but we have no choice! The Sunspire doesn’t have the capabilities to reverse course now!” Already he could see Marquis, weaving spells out of the air, drawing in the magic needed to protect them, and behind him was Tjarron. The Summoner’s Beast was not a moment short of feral, viciously snarling and balking at the edenic energies of the warp, his wings flared and the feathers on end.
And then Finn was by his side, his hands clasped over the elven captain’s, throwing his weight into the wheel too. They had to stay on course, even if it was an unknown, and largely dangerous course, they had to keep on it, and keep the ship from suffering a crash landing on the other side..
✶✷✶✷✶ Meanwhile... ✶✷✶✷✶
Yet another day, and still moving forward. It was all they really could do, but.. To be fair, it wasn’t as if Mushra didn’t get bored with the same old thing. A yawn, his arms stretching over his head, he’d taken up a temporary lookout post up the nearest tree, but.. Well, there wasn’t much to look at. Just trees, trees, and more trees. Boring.. Another yawn, and he finally climbed down.
“Yakumo.” He was just above her now, swinging himself down to stand beside her, and he smiled. “You ready to keep going? We should try to get as far as we can before nightfall.”
“Why are you in such a hurry?” Sago leaned against the tree now, watching Mushra with a smile. “It’s not like the next town’s going anywhere. We can take it easy for a while.”
“You can take it easy if you want, Sago, but I’d rather keep moving.” Mushra shook his head, frowning. Of course Sago didn’t feel the need to rush, but he did. “I’ve got a weird feeling about sticking around here, but you do what you want.” Sago shrugged.
“I don’t know if you’re so antsy based on a gut feeling, or if it’s just that your gut’s empty.”
“You trying to start something?!” But the second Mushra raised his fist, it was as if the sky was suddenly torn open, like a massive tear through wet paper. Immediately, Mushra had forgotten his argument with Sago, staring at it. “What is that..?” And then, he was up the tree again, as high as he could go, and just in time to see some sort of ship falling out of the rip in the sky, right before the hole closed back up again.
#i accidentally wrote a novel#oops#lol#but there you go!#maskedmuses#;; the warrior of flames (mushra)#;; beautiful like a water dragon (sago)#;; honorbound adherences (cassius)#;; shady business or fair discounts (finnian)#;; like a dark winged beast (tjarron)#;; beyond the boundaries of magic (marquis)

Lemme tell you about Yakumo (Part 1)
(So, I realized how long the rant was going to be, so I placed under readmore and I’mma do a second part later. )
This girl here. So many people over the years have not only passed over her, but Shinzo as a show in general. Which, happens, but you know what, we need to talk about her for a second, because I feel like people don’t understand how deep her character really is.
So, let’s start at the beginning. And I don’t mean beginning of Arc 1.
The story of Shinzo starts actually 500 years in the past of the story, with Dr. Daigo Tatsuro, and his five year old daughter Yakumo. (Actually, it is unknown what her age is, but due to images, she and speech, she is most likely between the ages of three and five.
5. F-I-V-E. That is literally the max age she could be going into the capsule, a girl experiencing a war of her race being killed in front of her eyes, being put in the capsule in a lab because they were after her, they were trying to kill HER and that was the only way her father could keep her safe.
She was *maybe* five when her father told her goodbye, because he knew she would never see him gain, and even a little bit, Yakumo knew the same, which is why she didn’t want to go inside Hakuba.
500 years pass. She is asleep, but her body ages. Canonically, her body age is 17 according to official sources. SHE WENT TO BED AS 5 AND WOKE UP AS 17.
Actually, if she was in Meguro City (Japan) with her capsule, and she journeyed west, because of hat her father told her, then met with Mushra in future New York, that means she TRAVELED THE ENTIRE WORLD AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE THE SERIES EVEN BEGAN.
But let’s think on this a little harder. What happens between the ages of 5 and 17? PUBERTY. So she aged inside Hakuba, what the hell did she even think when she got her first period? Can you imagine, with the mentality of a 5 year old, suddenly seeing blood, but you’re not hurt, and it keeps happening once a month? You go to Enterran doctors (alone) and you tell them you’re human, and they try to kill you?
Within the span of time that she takes traveling from Japan to New York, alone, she has to mature over 12 years. Has to get used to being a teenager, dealing with these emotions, and things about herself. She has to do it all by herself.
Even still, she refuses to stop seeing the good in people. She continues to help others, no matter how many times she is hurt or chased off because of what she is. She refuses to let hate be the thing that drives her, because she wants to be the best she can be when she meets the other humans and meets them all at Shinzo, but more than that, she still carries that child-like innocence and belief that the world is ultimately good.
She comes from a time of war, of hate, of suffering, and Yakumo wants none of that to weigh her down. She does get her friends, which allows her to not be alone, but then it won’t last.. Once again, she will be on her own again.
Part 2 to come soon to continue this discussion

know im just gunna talk more reboot!shinzo ideas cuz i feel self indulgent
(also wow this got long soooo under a cut you go!)
world building wise, its more like atla than like canon shinzo. the enterrans/matrixers aren’t all scummy, they’ve just been told lies for 300+ years. they truly believe humans to be evil demons for one reason or another. and while humans arent/werent that, there was a lot of morally gray activities going on, with humans experimenting on enterrans and constantly thinking of them as less sentient. of course there were humans who cared as well, but that didnt stop the bigotry. scuffles turned into fights turned into battles turned into wars. not helped by an actually evil mushrambo.
there were humans and enterrans who wanted peace and worked together, but they were generally looked down on and forced out of their communities. yakumo comes from such humans, who had joined together with enterrans who shared they’re ideals. (notably tho peaceful does not = humans did nothing wrong). it was only thru the two species working together that yakumo is able to be safely hidden away... for the most part.
and of course human/enterran hybrids existed from those same communities, but where of course looked down on. however, you could be a pure blood enterran and end up looking humanoid for one reason or another as well. once humans are thought to be extinct, negative focus is put on the more human looking enterrans. they’re generally seen as pretty demonic and unlucky, as propaganda makes them believe they’re the second coming of humans (they’re not necessarily wrong but...). many dont survive their childhood thanks to parental abandonment, being killed by their communities, etc. both mushra and sago find themselves in this category.
the only humanoid enterrans to gain followings are those that 1) are extremely powerful and 2) have beast forms. but there are still many who view them negatively.
not ALL enterrans view humanoids are bad, but they’re in the minority, mostly thanks to above propaganda. generally, those enterrans come from hybrids or the past peaceful enterran lineage. all the same, its dangerous to be more human-like.
speaking of humanoid enterrans, this goes back to mushrambo. he’s truly evil because he saw humans as lesser, imperfect version of enterrans. he sought to kill them because of that and also because even in death, they were useless to enterrans (no cards to be absorbed). and as for enterrans who saw worth in humans, he believed them as weak willed, too reliant on humans, and as betraying enterran kind. he wasn’t... necessarily BORN/created evil, but thanks to torment by humans and enterrans alike, he grew into it. ...this needs more tweeking, but all the same, he’s bad to the bone.
but when yakumo’s magic attacks and ‘kills’ him, both his soul and power is split in three pieces. his power, into three gems, his soul, three new enterrans. those three are mushra, kutal, and sago. now it can be said that mushra is the core of mushrambo’s soul. mostly meaning he takes most after mushrambo as he was and thus, if he absorbs sago and kutal, he creates a near mirror image of the old mushrambo. if either sago or kutal mains and absorbs the other two, they would create a mushrambo who takes a bit more after them.
this leads to many, later in their journeys, trying to corrupt mushra and get him to kill and absorb his friends, so as to get the old mushrambo back.
and as for the gems with his power, each soul is draw to one gem in particular, which later gives them the ability to hyper form. there’s also a draw to the other souls and gem, but its much weaker and more subtle. however, it does still lead them feeling drawn to the same locations, even if they dont know or understand it. and because it was yakumo’s magic that split them, they do feel a natural draw to her, but its kinda a... neutral draw? it doesnt make them like or hate her, it just make her stick out to them.
also, they’re not as so straight good. for sago and mushra, there’s a lot of self hate in their humanoid forms/self and in humans, so being around an actual human leave them conflicted. for kutal, he still at first wants to eat yakumo, but as he spends time wit her and the other two, he becomes curious about humans and about the powers they supposedly hold. sago doesnt really trust yakumo and only sticks around because of mushra, in case yakumo turns on him. mushra was, as in canon, saved by her but thanks to a lot of internalized anger and hatred for humans and his humanoid appearance (which ostracized him), the only reason he doesnt attack her is because she saved him and he found it too... scummy and ‘human’ to kill her unprovoked. yakumo being a good person as she is implores about his hatred for humans and such. i havent worked out the details, but shenanigans ensue and they bond a bit, ending with mushra agreeing to help her find shinzo. they’re all a bit more morally grey, and only become better enterrans through they’re friendship with each other and yakumo, and from learning the true history of humans and enterrans.
later when they’re finally all together, they boys always find it easy to find each other, with just a gut feeling and generally get a long pretty well. over time their bonds only get stronger. really i just want them to have an incredibly strong bond not just with yakumo, but each other. they’re basically platonical/familial soul mates.
yakumo is also less... perfect, must never fight back, type of gal and more... aang like. she prefers non-violence and HATES killing, but she knows things can get... bad. but it eats her up inside when she cant find a way to resolve things peacefully.
aaaand for now thats all i got! yeehaw this got long lol

Top 13 Characters I Hate That Everyone Else Likes!
There are many characters we all hate and often times, we’re not the lone strangers when it comes to hating them. There are characters that are practically made to be hated on. Than there are characters in which everyone seems to enjoy but I for one can’t stand and this is it. From number 13 (which is basically grating) to number 1 down right I can’t fathom why anyone likes this character, here are my top list of characters I despise but everyone seems to like.
Rule’s for this list. I’m only listing characters that people really do like for whatever reason. I’m not gonna be listing characters that everyone does hate such as Angelica Pickles from Rugrats. I don’t care for that character either, but I’m pretty sure she was made to get under people’s skin. These are characters that people do enjoy, even if some were meant to be annoying or unlikable. I will be also including anime, western animation, comics and movies (Though these will be from animation, not live action.) and only from media I like. There is no point of putting characters from shows I don’t like.
Warning there will be some mild cussing. I try not to cuss so much in these. These are mainly characters from kid’s media, however, there is one from a comic that is aimed more for older audiences so just a heads up.
As usual if you like these characters, that’s perfectly fine. This is just my opinion and I hold nothing against anyone from liking or even loving these characters. So let’s get started!
13. Jeremy and Angie from Digimon Fusion
I’m gonna be brief with these two as they’re mainly annoying and kinda pointless, than actual hate. These two I just felt very little purpose to the team and shoot, they didn’t even get their own digimon until the near end. That and that horrible dance and singing sequence episode “Rumble in the Jungle Zone”, just made me annoyed at them even more...
12. Meilin from Cardcaptors/Cardcaptor Sakura
Again I just find her mostly pointless than I actually hate her. I would have put Sakura here because of her voice, but that’s because I only dislike Sakura in Japanese because of her voice. I like her as a character. Meilin is just well...There. That’s it. You could have taken her out and there wouldn’t be much of a difference. I feel like she was just made to prove Syaoran isn’t a complete loner and actually has someone that does like him back home.
11. Jeri from Digimon Tamers
What can I say about her? She creepily talks through a puppet on her hand, ironically at first acts like the boys are weird for constantly liking Digimon despite she talks through a puppet and of course getting into Digimon despite not wanting to at first. Gets depressed because her Digimon is killed, thus becomes a damsel puppet for the D-Reaper to get stronger and well did I mention she talks creepily through a falking puppet?! I don’t blame her for being depress and obviously, she probably suffers from something like autism and of course, the loss of her mother, but that doesn’t mean I have to like her. I found her again, pointless, creepy and annoying. She just became a thing for the Tamers to rescue when she should have just stayed a side character.
10. Toralei from Monster High
Out of all the characters in Monster High, Toralei has to be the weakest. She doesn’t change or go through any development. All she does is just cause trouble so something can happen within the series or in the movie. She’s self centered and a brat. Least with Cleo, she developed and matured and became more humble. The only change Toralei ever had was that she stopped having lackies around. I guess even they know that Toralei is not worth hanging around.
They got rid of her in the reboot but just gained a character that’s just like her.
: /
9. Bibury from Kira Kira Precure A La Mode
She’s got a creepy smile and her face always seems off. She’s also annoying and the fact she wants to basically falk a shadow creature thing is just disturbing. I get being down right loyal but it seems she’s got more feelings than being a loyal servant to Mr. Shadow thing......
8. Binkie and Steelbeak from Darkwing Duck
Putting both because they’re from the same series. I have another one like this. Let’s start with Binkie.
Binkie is blindly self centered in away. She often acts like her way of doing things is the best way and whenever she tries to help, it just makes things worse. Though, my hatred stems for the fact that Binkie tried to change Gosalyn into something she is not. A dainty little girl and worse, made Drake feel bad for not raising her as a “perfect little lady”. Yes, she basically follows the stereotype of a house wife and believes all young women should be pretty, sweet little things. I don’t mind when girls are sweet and motherly. I don’t approve of forcing people into being something they are not.
Steelbeak I hate because he’s one of the most annoying villains. That laugh and his voice just grate on me, not to mention his smug attitude. I get villains are kinda suppose to be like that, but when you combine that attitude with that voice and laugh....You get the most annoying things on the show next to Binkie!
The only time I like him is in the comics and the Negaverse fanfics that feature him helping the Friendly Four out, but mainly because I can’t hear his voice and in the fanfictions of course, he’s not as pampas. That and I just didn’t find remotely interesting compared to the rest of Darkwing’s most colorful baddies. He just felt like a bond villain wannabe.
7. “The Dark Magicians” aka “The Annoying Stooges” from Maho Tsukai Precure!
First off, they dare call themselves “Dark Magicians”. That alone is an insult to Dark Magician from Yugioh, shame on you Toei!
Second, these guys are the worst villains in recent Precure series! They are incompetent, they can’t do anything right and worse, they’re the reason why Orba, the actual kickass villain died! The better, handsome and more redeemable villain died while these guys got revived and a second chance at life! These guys didn’t do anything remotely redeemable and finally, Sparda (the witch spider there) is a rip off of Arukenimon from Digimon! So she’s not even that original...She does the exact same things as Arukenimon does, just more incompetent!
6. Sailor Neptune and Uranus from Sailor Moon (Old Anime)
They would have been good if they weren’t bitches! Omg! In the manga, they were decent, in fact, I love Haruka/Uranus in the manga and Crystal anime! In the old anime, these two were just intolerable especially near the end of their debut season and Sailor Stars. They turned on Sailor Moon, they turned on their own companions and take their missions way too far.
At least in the manga and Crystal versions, they showed they wanted to be friends with the other sailors and they viewed Sailor Moon as their true princess. They valued the other scouts as equals.
In the old anime, all that’s thrown out the window. “We’re better than you because we need to make the ultimate sacrifice. Something you kids can’t understand...” Despite the inners and Sailor Moon died like twice saving their world. Where were you two again when the moon kingdom was under attack, you stupid bitches?
5. Yakumo from Shinzo
Normally, I try to avoid hating characters from being weak and not able to fight, because let’s face it. That’s realistic. Especially if they’re motherly and kind, that’s always a spiritual strength to stay humble in the face of those that abuse you.
However, when your path for peace constantly makes you blind and gullible enough to trust others, not realizing what’s going on in your surroundings. Also to the point of scorning your friends for fighting, despite they’re constantly trying to make sure you don’t die on your very important mission for peace, yeah you deserve every single hate coming to you and that is what exactly Yakumo deserves!
All she ever does in the dang series is preach about peace and not realizing she lives in a hostile world where many will take advantage of her, because supposedly she’s the last human being and they want her dead! There are episodes where she outright abandons her friends, to follow another person whom she just met, if they make her believe she will help them out best or if they convince her they can help her without the use of violence. Not to mention she is constantly a damsel in distress. I get being weak and not being able to fight, but at least learn to be more cautious and smart to avoid getting yourself in danger! Human beings are weak in general but there are ways with using your head to keep you safe.
With Yakumo, she doesn’t seem to have a brain in her head! She constantly gets herself in trouble and everytime she scorns Mushra, I want to slap her and tell her “Bitch, you’re living in a hostile world, everyone here wants to falking kill you! You better be grateful you teamed up with those who want to protect your sorry ass and don’t want to turn you into mince meat, because you’re not gonna bring peace to anyone if you’re dead! But maybe there will be peace when you’re dead because you would shut up!”
I HATED her so much that it was always hard to watch this fairly decent and creative series! I like Shinzo and many of the characters in it, as well as the designs and concepts of the creatures that inhabit in it. However, Yakumo just makes it insufferable so many times! Say what you will about Binka, her little follower but at least Binka, despite blindly following Yakumo, is a rather fun to watch character! Binka’s adventurous and can fend for herself. She can be a bit of brat, but that’s easily understandable for her age. Binka isn’t even a teenager so she’s gonna be a little bit bratty. That’s kids! Yakumo is just obnoxious and what Mushra/Mushrambo or anyone else sees in her, I will never know!
4. Gaston from Beauty and the Beast (Both movies)
No one is annoying as Gaston!
No one is overrated like Gaston!
No one is a disgusting, pompous pig like Gaston!
You don’t have to be a feminist to see exactly what I mean!
Seriously, I’ve been sexually harassed in real life and this guy, while doesn’t do that, he comes close to it. The new movie makes him worse as he smiles smugly when he is turned down, thinking he can get the woman he wants. (Though, being Emma Watson is playing the lead in the live action film, honestly, he doesn’t know what the hell he’s getting himself into. So quite frankly he deserves her.) He treats women as a trophy and yeah, I get he’s suppose to be unlikable, a lot of people like him as a villain. Quite frankly, you can give me Myotismon or even Julio from Cross Ange. Least even when Julio attacks others with his fleet, he gets his coming in the end and is quite hilarious when things don’t go his way.
That and though the song is fun to parody as, it’s the weakest of the original film’s score. I always mute when his song comes on because I can’t honestly stand it really. Yea, in terms of revelation, Gaston at the time, was a game changer for villains. He was not powerful, not evil until he was pushed enough and it showed that anyone can be like Gaston (ironic to his song). However, that doesn’t stop me from hating him and being mind boggled at why people love this character. I never found him funny, engaging or interesting. He’s just annoying and I’m glad they tossed him to a fitting end!
3. Etemon from Digimon Digital Monsters/Adventure 01
Put two of my most hated things together (Elvis impersonators and monkeys) and you get the most annoying thing to date! He can’t sing, he’s cringy to watch especially in his mega form where he’s naked for some reasons...Why this character is liked is beyond me! There’s a reason why when some people mention good Digimon villain, Etemon is almost never one of them. His arc actually could have been edited to where Datamon was the real mastermind and done less painfully quicker.
When he comes back, there is absolutely no point to him! None! The other Digidestined don’t even face him! He just comes around, gets tortured by the more better Puppetmon and then gets killed by Saberleomon and Zudomon! He does nothing but kill Leomon! That’s it! Well done Bandai! We didn’t need a good character with a killer design in his evolution form! Just give us a metal monkey that can’t sing and is completely pointless!
Whenever the Digimon 1st series did a rerun, I would wait and not watch the episodes of Etemon’s arc. Thank the heavens, we got Myotismon after this guy! He was an improvement, especially since I had feared what Digimon would become after dealing with this weak, annoying pathetic digimon! I was just about to throw in the towel until finally Myotismon shows up and makes things interesting again!
2. Jimmy From Johnny the Homicidal Maniac
Got a question. Why the hell do people like this character!? He’s like Gaston if he was a wuss in the body anyway and Disney somehow allowed him to rape and murder people. That’s basically what Jimmy is and yet, so many fans of JTHM like this character. I have him in my fanfic but guess what? He’s constantly tortured and keeps losing in my fanfic, because he doesn’t deserve anything more than to be tortured and not redeemed for his crimes.
Not to mention, but it was believed he was made by Jhonen Vasquez (the same dude who did Invader Zim) as away to tell fans that just wanted Johnny to be a mindless killer, to falk off! He is repulsive and deserved what Johnny did to him in the end.
Yet in spite of that, people somehow still like him in the fandom and some even pair him up with Johnny, who hates him as much as I do. It’s sad because I like Eric, yes, Eric can be pompous too but he didn’t rape and stalk people. He killed one kid with his giant fang but that was played out for laughs and it’s actually unclear if that kid died. Eric is redeemable and can be likable if given proper development. Sadly, Eric gets kicked to the curb where no one seems to know him despite, showing up twice and even making a cameo in a Invader Zim episode, thus making more appearances than Jimmy. Jimmy doesn’t deserve to be redeemed ever and it still mind boggles me that people draw fan art of him, not getting his ass raped by a saw blade!
Before I get to number one, let me give quick dishonorable mentions.
1# Ciel/Cure Parfait from Kira Kira Precure A La Mode
Honestly, I hate her Precure design and think she can hit the Mary Sue levels at times, but Ciel as a character is at least humble and kind, so I don’t hate her.
2# Most of the characters of Cross Ange
Left them out because too many to count.
3# Characters from shows I hate such as Spongebob Square Pants, Jimmy Neutron, Fairy Oddparents, Teen Titans Go, CatDog and Adventure Time.
4# Angelica from Rugrats/All Grown Up (Who actually likes this character?)
Now...The number 1 character I hate but everyone else likes is...
1. Diaspro from Winx Club
Ugh!!!!!! Where do I even begin with this freakin character! She’s like if Angelica grew up, gain powers and actually became a princess. All she ever does in the series is cause problems because she wants Sky! She wants to marry Sky and have him all to herself and you know, it’s clearly for lust and power purposes. Sky is a prince and marrying him, she gets to be queen with a “hot king”. If she actually cared for Sky, she would have just let them be in the series and move on.
However, she doesn’t. Since season 1, all she does is be some love rival for Bloom. Some people say she deserves Sky more than Bloom. I beg to differ. She’s endangered lives, even the whole dimension just so she can have Sky to herself and it doesn’t matter who she hurts or nearly kills. She should be locked away in the Omega Dimension for her crimes! Not just banished but truly locked away there for all eternity!
As said she does not care for Sky. She just wants him for power and as a trophy and you know she doesn’t truly love him, because she tries to manipulate him and take advantage over him losing his memories! Someone that truly knows and deserves love wouldn’t do such a thing.
An excuse is “She’s lonely and might not have a good family” as some fans have speculate. Her family was devastated when they thought she was kidnapped! She’s a spoiled little rich girl! That’s it! And there are plenty of characters that are lonely and can be stuck up but develop more as a character. Stella for instance. Aisha! You got plenty of princesses that have been lonely and yet develop to be better!
Not to mention she doesn’t even try to change. Her last appearance was in season 6. 6 years and not bothering to change at all! Still wanting “her man” instead of growing the hell up and moving on like a grown woman should!
I had heard in the comics she’s quite humble, least not as crazy. I read the comic and that is true she’s not as bad, but still pretty petty and unlikable. Yeah, Bloom gets jealous of her but then she comes to Diaspro’s rescue showing Bloom can put differences a side in the end. Bloom does need to be less jealous and clingy, but at least Bloom’s not trying to kill people for not getting her way. Diaspro out right tries to murder her on several occasions in the show and her pettiness in the comic is just annoying . I get rejection is hard but you gotta move on some time. That’s life!
Not to mention, she is voiced by the ever stuck up, can’t get over herself Ariana Grande for most of the Nick’s seasons. I like Ariana’s singing but she’s like her character. She needs to falking get over herself because she’s got nothing on Celine Dion and Alicia Keys in terms of talent and personality.
Seriously, if you like her, I just don’t get it. Me, I personally would have thrown her in the Vortex of Flames in a heartbeat for what’s she’s done. There’s wanting a man and being spoiled. She takes spoiled and obsession to new heights. Every time I see her on Winx, I change the channel!
And that is why, she is my number one most hated character in animation and shoot, media in general!

Not a very productive day. So let's talk about these two. Kenjay and Mushra are very tech savvy orphans; Mushra age 17, is rambunctious and rude. He's that one kid that if you tell him to not do something, he'll do it anyways. His hot headed-ness gets the duo into a lot of trouble. His specialty is creating weapons and building moods of transportation like hover boards and motor bikes. Kenjay, age 14, is the kind and caring but she can be a smart ass.(some say she gets it from Mushra). She keeps Mushra in check and the others happy. Her specialty is programming and speedy repair and upgrades. These two have grown up together in an underground town and go off to an area called the Outlands to find parts for the things they're building and to also trade for food. They both wish to see the city they live under one day. That's all for now #drawing #illustration #conceptart #characterdesign #kenjaysocs #suprkidz #team_nerdkidz

Shipping interview!
Multi, single, or fewship?:
Multiship!
What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?:
I’m willing for most things, I do tend to stay away from smut however, for a few reasons, and also abu/sive ships as well. That’s for my own comfort overall, but I generally love to have hurt/comfort and fluff in my stuff! I’m a fluffy potato queen when it comes to shipping.
How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?:
This varies from muse to muse! If it is a muse that is underage, I don’t like a gap of more than two years apart. However, if they are an adult muse, this can vary some, as I don’t really mind it all that much, as long as it’s not an entirely massive gap (I am excluding immortals/beings that live over several hundred years, as I have one myself.). I suppose it comes down to their apparent/acting age that factors in before it gets creepy.
Are you selective when shipping?:
I ship almost any pairing, as long as there is chemistry. This can be only muse-related, or writing related, or anything like that. It has to have that spark, that show of hey, these two characters can really click! Forced chemistry, however, is clunky, and makes me stay away from a ship.
How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?:
As soon as they start removing clothes, that’s it for me. I honestly don’t mind steamy scenes, hot kisses, or even touches (that would start going into the Read More territory), but until clothing is removed, or attention focuses on particular places for stepping from steamy to boiling over? That’s when I’m more keen to fade to black.
Does one have to ask to ship with you?:
It wouldn’t be bad to ask! Generally my answer will always be “yes, BUT, chemistry.” However, if I know you have a muse you’re interested in shipping with, it does make me lean towards more of those fluffy, shipping interactions instead of playing the platonic route (which I like too!)
How often do you like to ship?:
I’ll give you $2 and my soul to ship something hardcore with me right now.
What is your favorite ship in your current fandom?:
With a lot of muses, this is so hard! So, I’ll do one per active muse- Mushkumo (Yakumo and Mushra) Lucille and her voice Koya and being flustered over her crush Simonia (Nia and Simon) Azuna and genuinely smiling at someone Ochaco and mochi Rapunzel and freedom Revolutionshipping/Vanishshipping (Anzu and Yami Yugi/Atem) Ysayle and Estinien Aqua and staying in the Realm of Light Rokushi (Xion and Roxas) Kasumi (S) and big bento boxes Marinette and consistent development Eugene and Mai Osiris and some good ol’ fashioned D--decency
Tagged by: No one! I yoinked it
Tagging: Everyone who sees this and thought the last pairing was going to be something else.

@alexandriteobscura asked: Given the circumstances, her lineage, etc etc did Yakumo's journey through the desert make her feel more or less like herself? Did she ever find anything worthwhile while making her way through?
STRAP IN BECAUSE I’M ABOUT TO HAVE A WHOLE THING ABOUT THIS
Shinzo is a 20 year old series, but just a warning, spoilers ahead.
(Also here is a drabble I made about this, which is up for supplemental info).
So, because many people don’t know, the Desert is a segment in Shinzo that serves as a bridge between Arc 1 and Arc 2 (the series is too short for two seasons, and the halting point between one and the other is literally in the middle of an episode, so I refer to it as arcs). After the battle with Dark Mushrambo, Yakumo loses her friends and is forced to make a choice: stay behind and mourn them, or press on with her journey.
Through her connection to them, however, she hears their voices and with that, is pushed forward, where due to timey-wimey stuff, the timeline is reset and her friends are alive, but have no memory of her.
THIS IS WHERE I CAN GO ON FOR HOURS, BUT THIS HONESTLY TURNED OUT SHORTER THAN I EXPECTED. If you have any questions about this, feel free to shoot me more asks about this!
So, Yakumo’s lineage involved in this at all is simply what she has been guided to do. She has to press on towards the West, because that’s what her father wanted. Her father wanted her to find Shinzo and the humans again, even if it was confirmed that all except her were killed on the day she was cryogenically frozen. Aside from the push from her friends (from the beyond), she knew she could not stop. Despite the fact it would mean she would have to walk the entire thing to get to the other side (and her upbringing certainly did not make her more resilient towards the heat and sand), Yakumo had to push through all the obstacles ahead of her.
During the battle against Mushrambo, Yakumo awakened to the power of the crystal inside of her. This power allowed her telekinetic powers, as well as a link to her friends (who were reduced to similar crystals—and is a whole other topic of what those crystals actually were, which isn’t what we’re talking about here). This helped her push forward, even with minimal water and the long trek (since she is shown only with a small backpack) through the miles of sand and nothingness.
The Desert became a halting point in the world. As soon as she entered it, it was when time stopped for her. The world around her reset to the point where she had woken up, humans coming back to life, but the world forgetting about the girl that had been the catalyst to it. The world turned back three years, but left her in the desert as she was. She became a link between the timelines; Yakumo was the only one who could remember the original past, and even as her friends came back, their minds had been reverted to before they ever met her. Something she would come to know about as she persisted further into the dunes.
Through the desert, she had a vision of the Guardians, the Celestial Beings that watch over the universe, and it was revealed to her who the true villain behind the curtain was: the fallen Guardian, Lanancuras. Until this time, the Guardians were never a factor in her life, but with the realization of her place within the world and how she had been chosen by them to fight against the force of evil, it was something she had to accept.
Yakumo was no longer simply a girl looking for the humans. She was now Enterra’s last hope, and had only been brought into the future to meet her friends and have her journey, because of their kindness. The vision she had been given was delivered through the visage of someone she trusted, someone she had realized she loved not long before his demise during the battle. It was something to soften the blow and allow her to accept her mission, even with the consequences at the end.
Accepting them, accepting that she would no longer be living a life for herself, but for all Enterra, Yakumo steeled her heart. It was the first time she had ever seen the Enterran Flower of Hope. It was the last time she could live for herself.
As soon as her gem was revealed by the Guardians, it was placed to work. She honed her skills within the sandy terrain, and she prepared herself. As she trekked, Yakumo lost the innocent ideal of no violence. It was either destroy the Kadriens and their master, Lanancuras, or have them take everything away from her again. The girl grew into a woman who could wield her power to suppress Lanancuras from emerging, as well as destroy those in her way.
Eventually, Yakumo knew her body could not handle the power it had been given. It was draining her life with every use. Mushra and her friends were needed to finish off Lanancuras, but as the weeks past under the boiling sun, she knew she would not be able to see the end of it. Being forgotten had been a boon in her mind. As much as she knew she loved Mushra (as she had discovered when Mechano City Fell, I also have a drabble regarding that scene), as much as she wanted to be able to tell him everything and have a life with him once it was over, Yakumo knew what the outcome would be.
By the time she found Mount Shinzo, she could barely move, much less do anything else. It was why, despite her dismay of the strength she both gained and lost in the desert, she had to send Binka to retrieve her friends. What Yakumo lost in the desert was the humanity she had always been so lively with, and instead became more akin to the angel that Mushra and Binka called her.
Distant from her friends, with the revelations from the desert, Yakumo knew she could not get close to them again. She had to stay aloof, because if she allowed herself to be more human, it would be a detriment to saving the world. Her happiness was left in the desert in favor of saving the world from being consumed. She lost the pieces of her that were innocent and eager.
The Desert took everything away from Yakumo, and even still, she pressed on, for her friends. For her world, and only for her to keep offering up until her life was forfeit as well. The price of power that she gained in there was only to push her to death, so that she, who had become like a dam between the two timelines, could vanish and intermingle with one another. It was why she alone had been in the desert, while the world around her changed.
Going in an innocent girl and coming out a determined martyr. That was what the Desert did to Yakumo.

@jabbers-wild-world wanted a starter with Yakumo!
“You have fought well.” Each step was planted deep into the ground of Mount Shinzo’s surface as she encroached upon the forms of the four that had been released by Lunaria’s maze. At least an entire year had passed since she last laid eyes on them and it had not been only a fleeting dream of their journey. Her heart leap in her chest, rapid rhythm both from the elation of reuniting with them, but the excess energy spent to save them. Yakumo had annilalated the Kadriens and their cards, but it didn’t matter anymore.
The peace she sought all her life was at hand.
“Now arise my noble warriors, your valiant bravery had once again saved Enterra.” She beckoned to them, halting her step mere feet from them. “But the war is not over. There will be no peace until the ultimate enemy is defeated.” Lanacuras, the cause of all this pain and suffering. The reason they had to initially part. When she had seen the person she loved most die before her eyes.
But he was here. He had made it to Shinzo.
“….Mushra..!” Her voice called to him, his face the same as in her memories. Days of their adventuress passed in her mind, the welling mix of saltwater threatening to encapsulate her throat. But Binka arose, and her attention turned, offering the tidings to the girl. Then, then Mushra met her eyes. All the tears that offered to spill were swept away; it didn’t matter if her fate was sealed. Mushra was here again and she could relish the little time she had left with him before the true battle struck.
“This isn’t the end of our battle, Lanancuras will be revived and you can be sure he will do everything in his power to stop us.” Her breathing became more labored, but she had to push further. They were almost within her grasp, her treasured friends that she had yearned to see. If she could only take them in her arms, would they not look to her like a stranger? Warm, but that distance was still there. “Mushra… Sago… Kutal.” A step forward made, she could almost reach them. “This means more to me than you could ever know—“
A gasp emitted from her, gravity taking her full force. Air sucked out of her lungs and the jewel began to halt its sap on her life. Before she knew it, she was in Mushra’s grasp. He was so close, every part of her wanted to reach up, wanted to press her lips to his cheek and tell him the sweet words that she had never been able to utter in Mechano City. But her body was weak, and a dawned realization came to mind.
Telling him would only hurt more when she ultimately gave her life. Pushing to touch him, to be close to him once more, that had sent her over the edge more than anything.
“If I don’t pull through, there will nothing to stop Lanancuras. Promise, you’ll do all that you can.” Promise you’ll not stop when I die, Mushra. A silent wish to him that went unsaid, before Binka’s voice cut through her thoughts.
“Why not rest here for the night? We can start our journey tomorrow! Yakumo needs her rest before we can go anywhere anyway!”
It was a unanimous decision and with assistance from everyone, the woman was able to get to her feet. The temple atop Mount Shinzo was in ruins, but it still harbored facilities for them to use. Rooms were still divided and food in pantries had been preserved from the lightning strike. Sago and Kutal had decided to descend half way down the mountain with Binka for more food, leaving Yakumo in Mushra’s care.
Hakuba made up some additional shelters, his arms able to build upon the rubble, while the brunette found herself unable to peer at Mushra at all, despite the spacing of the half room. No ceiling, but a modicum of privacy, Yakumo had taken up to slowly peeling apples, trying to make herself busy. Contribute, even as the jewel began to glow, and the thin film of sweat began to form across her brow.
How could she even talk to him again? It hurt to think of his gaze upon her, no memory of anything that occurred between them. Surely, he would have spoken of such things if he did, wouldn’t he? Of the fall of Mechano City, of his own death? Her lip trembled at the thought, and her hand wavered, unable to hold onto the fruit, it dropping to the ground and bouncing away from her and towards Mushra’s foot.
“A-ah…Forgive me.” She murmured, quiet and blue eyes downcast, pointedly at the floor. “It slipped away from me.” A pang in her heart. Just like he had. “Let me just…” She began to move slowly, steps uneasy as she pressed forward towards it, her attention not on him enough that if he were to reach as well, they certainly would have had some sort of collision.

(It’s Sinday!) Send my muse strange, embarrassing, and possibly NSFW Anons!|| Always accepting (with caveats)
Anonymous asked: @Yakumo have you ever been mistaken for a humanoid enterran?
“Oh, why yes.” It wasn’t a very odd question for her, but for all things considered, it was something she encountered more frequently than not. “When I was first traveling, that was what everyone assumed. You have Enterrans like Mushra and Sago where they seem very human, so I was always just assumed to be one too. I didn’t mind, but I never lied when people asked me why I sought out other humans.”
There was a fleeting contemplation across her visage before a broad smile dusted it away. “I think Mushra has never liked that, but it’s better to be honest about being human!

A starter long owed to @jabbers-wild-world!
Throwing stuff into the bag, Koya frowned as she looked at everything she was taking. It would weigh her down if she got into a fight for sure. Blue eyes glanced over everything splayed out on the bed. A conclusion was made: she really didn’t need everything. Just the essentials.
“Koyakumo, what are you doing?” An older voice rang out behind the girl who had begun to toss everything out of the bag back onto the bed, picking out a few things to slide into the pockets within her armor. A modified piece of work from her father, the flaps on the sides of her belt made to store her wares. Koya turned to face the stern face of the brunette who had entered.
Yakumo stood in the doorway, her eyes narrowed on her daughter. The violet haired girl had turned sixteen not long before and had dropped out of lessons. The teacher had informed her of the situation and the mother was not pleased. “You’re not really leaving, are you?” The woman’s voice was softer, almost begging in a way.
“Look, you and papa traveled everywhere when you were my age—“
“Not by choice!”
“Mom.” Koya stopped, turning on her heel to look her mother in the face. Yakumo’s normally smile filled face was a thin line of worry that halted her sounds at her daughter’s utterance. Cocking a hip, the younger girl crossed her arms over her chest plate. “This is my choice. Papa can’t teach me anything more, so I gotta go find a place I can. I gotta, if I’m gonna be the strongest Hybrid on Enterra!”
Yakumo dipped her head into her hand, exasperated. “Koyakumo, you’re just like him…” She could never get through to her child, no matter how hard or frequently she tried. Turning, the woman shook her head and glanced out the door, frowning. “Mushra, will you please talk some sense into her? Remind her why she needs to stay in school and here, with us?”

What do you think Mushra's and Yakumo's wedding would be like? And subsequently, their married life?
Sooooo we get a tidbit of their married life in the manga and a bonus CD track, but not very much. Mostly their adorable daughter that shows up on this blog cough cough and that they have built a life together in a city where Enterrans and humans can coexist peacefully.
They are rather domestic, Mushra is a worried father over his daughter. Per the norm, him, Sago, and Kutal all get in trouble while Yakumo has to deal with them. It’s like things never stopped, but they just decided to settle down and Mushra and Yakumo are incredibly loving to one another.
However, the wedding! You’d have to realize, no matter what–whether it was the manga, or her being resurrected such as she is now, these two are the people who saved Enterra from a literal god. When Yakumo died, every person she ever encountered, every life she affected, had a vision of her.
Literally everyone knows who she is, and who Mushra is.
There would be demands for a large, lavish wedding, which I think they wouldn’t want to pass up (especially if they don’t have to pay for it), but I also think they would have a more intimate wedding. Something small between them and their closest friends, then have a celebration with everyone involved that wanted to participate.
tl;dr:
Mushra and Yakumo are those parents that smooch and are in love all the time and their wedding would be tiny, but with a huuuuuge reception.
