stumbles into the room teary eyed and covered in sweat and blood before collapsing on the ground. I JUST PRACTICED THE BASSOON FOR OVER 4 FUCKING HOURS entirely on this one etude that's supposed to be out chair auditions. did those hours pay off at least? no my recording was shit but i honestly don't even care i've been playing bassoon for like a month they can't get mad at me. besides it's not like there's anyone else they can give first chair to. i am the entire bassoon section for symphonic band i'm getting first part whether i like it or not [<- i don't. at all]

#i decided to swab it out halfway through bc all the spit was affecting my sound and the way the bassoon is designed all the water collects #in the bottom joint. and i accidentally tipped it too much and spilled hours worth of spit into my lap. but whatever. it's fine #and then when i was putting my thing back together afterwards i put them in the wrong order so i tried to disassemble to do it properly and #the thing got kinda stuck and when i finally jerked it out my finger got cut against this protruding knob thingy. so the covered in blood #thing is only half a joke my bassoon did draw my blood today.
