Candy girl in autumn clothes ~ After a looong period of time, I did some art with alcohol markers again. One of the big reason, why I don’t do art with markers is is the thin paper. i. Above is the play experience image.

ii. Project Title

Inspired by Cards against Humanity, the card game named ‘Random Formation’ aims to stimulate the creativity of players by linking seemingly random things together in a single sentence. 

iii. Reflective Statement

The possibilities of the cards are limitless as there are tens of thousands of words, and they can be made into international market by using the language of target country. Yet 51 words are too limited and the game would have been done better is played online, when an AI can distribute random words to players, which would be more environmental friendly and giving players more creative space. Or if the players are up to it, template cards can be included in the pack which will be made from whiteboard material which player can customize with a marker, and the templates can be reused again.

...Three words one sentence and the round is yours.

iii. Rules of Play

General Rules: There are 51 cards in the stack in total. For Multiplayers: For each round each player draw 3 cards from the stack and try to come up with a creative sentence with no more than 20 words. Time limit for thinking up each sentence is 30 seconds. One player will act as judge each round to decide who comes up with the best sentence and award the player a point. The tense and quantity of the words can be modified. The game ends when the cards are used up. The player with the most points wins the game.

For Single Player: Shuffle the stack, draw 3 cards each time and try to form a sentence. Other rules regarding the cards follows as multiplayer.

For today’s study I used a different kind of paper than I usually do: 246# linen finish ‘acrylic’ paper. I believe it is called acrylic because that is the intended medium, but it is not a plastic paper.

I scored it with a razor blade. The thickness of the paper and its texture must have contributed to the smoothness with which I was able to make the cuts.
