so i just reread and the echo dropped by to ask maybe, where, when and i'm in love with the way you write mason and corey. i feel like they get overlooked by the fandom in favor of thiam a lot, and i was wondering what prompted you to write this fic? do you have any plans for more morey-centric works, or headcanons for them?

Thank you! I do really love that story. It came out kind of…quiet, if that makes sense? And I do end up rereading it quite a bit just for that feeling.

It was originally prompted by a fandom thing, actually, Morey Appreication Week, which I don’t know if that’s still a thing? But it was definitely a fun thing to do, and I’d absolutely be interested in writing more for them if the opportunity arose.

As for headcanons, not sure I’ve got a ton (or not a ton I can think of off the top of my head, anyway—I do seem to have a bunch mid story writing). But generally, I do tend to see Mason as having remnants of the beast’s power in some form or another, and I like the idea of him going the emissary route. I have previously written him as interested in law; that makes sense to me for some reason. I’m pretty sure his family has money, based on some canon things. And I know he loves Liam to death, and I like to think has never truly been afraid of him—not in any of the ways that matter.

As for Corey, I tend to see him as pretty suspicious and more world-weary, coming from a place where he didn’t have money or a supportive family—so he knows how much those things matter, because he knows what it’s like to lack them. I see him going into something that helps people; I think I’ve alternately written him as going into nursing or civil engineering. I think he’d do anything for Mason, and while he loves the rest of the pack, like Theo with Liam, if he had to sacrifice one for the other, he knows which one he’s picking. He loved Josh and Tracy. He carries them with him everyday. He wants to be a good person and doesn’t think he is; he worries always about making the wrong, selfish choice, which is one of the reasons why he generally ends up making the right one.

Derek Hale is confused by Stiles Stilinski, or at least Derek's sexuality is confused. He knows that Stiles feels some kind of way toward him, but a discovery on Stiles' laptop leaves no question to HOW much Stiles likes him.

This would be fine, if they weren't also fighting Big Bads, Bad Alphas, and age of consent laws. Add to it the pressures of learning magic, graduations, and a Sheriff for a potential father in law, things just aren't going to be easy.

But they'll definitely be worth it.
