DISCLAIMER. the following post will be discussing characters whose canon consists of around 6 hours of comedic musical improv and most of their personalities are based on stuff i made up/projected onto them or decisions the actors made to be humorous taken deadly seriously. hold my hand. look into my eyes. its all going to be okay.
also there will be challengers spoilers
regarding last post the thing about moshe and neal is theyre both kind of canonically pathetic wet cats so its hard to find tension between them personality wise which would result in the kind of tashi/art vs tashi/patrick dynamic. i think the difference is neals refusal to accept help is more out of principle and in many ways a need for independence makes him much more like patrick whereas moshes difficultness stems from his abandonment issues which means as much as he will huff and get upset when ppl try to help him in ways he doesnt like, he is incredibly loyal and will eventually listen to the ppl around him because he craves both guidance and validation. i think the hotel scene would play out very similar but i think moshe would be more explicit about his desire for an ultimatum (not on purpose) while also emphasising how much he wants to stay with her despite knowing she will never truly love him like that
that post about tashis one true love being tennis and how she will always love tennis much more than she will ever love the boys while also knowing they are her only way to have that rings pretty true for kharm too. like as much as she cares for and loves neal and moshe in ways her true love is performance and connecting with her fans. as much as she spends so much effort trying to maintain her cool persona, she wants to be vulnerable but they all love her so much and place her on a pedestal so its difficult. shes also honest in little ways like telling them her dreams and crushes which feel like a big deal to her but the only time she can really truly connect and be seen is performing and putting her feelings into songs and she knows she wouldnt have that without the rest of the band. when theyre singing together, whether its with a live audience or a jam session, for those moments they truly understand each other and it is kind of like theyre in love. or something. i dont remember the actual quote but u get it
anyway this ties back to art/patrick & moshe/neal playing together without realising the vulnerability in it thats been there the whole time. i think moshes style kind of mirrors art in the way of like his verses are sometimes a little clunkier he might get focused on one thing and have to jam it in there, art might be a weaker player than patrick but he has tells in the same way moshe is kind of involuntarily showing his inner psyche when he sings, and they still connect to each other. havent thought this part out much but moshe being the new kid at school and being welcomed by the others vs art being a âlate bloomerâ and patrick helping him are definitely linked. if i follow this thread any further i will start experiencing vertigo but u get where im going
im not sure if they would get a similar satisfying ending like the movie solely because theyre very prone to messiness and poor communication and as im typing this im realising thats kind of challengers whole thing so idk. maybe theyd work it out. i think moshe does sort of have enough admiration and love for neal that he could accept it but he might also spiral and get upset and do moshe things etc u get it. i am not going to talk about did system moshe but it definitely adds layers to this that could either bring it closer to the events of the movie or complicate things further (in a fun way) but also tbh moshe does that on his own anyway
ummmmm also blair witchproject is there
#long post#idk whether to tag this epic theyre pretty far removed at this point probably i cant even tell anymore#fuck it#every place i cry#pspsppsspsps please anyone talk to me about them#reply post#mrrow

rides onto the dash nude n on horseback like this pic of sam way. oh fancy seeing u here.......... im impeccably tensed our entire exchange. buns like steel cld crack a nut open between them. iâm nai n itâs so nice to meet u all!!!! iâm one of the admins here (josefine frida pettersen on the main) n iâm so Excited 2 get things going........... some facts abt me r i sometimes hv a witchâs cackle, i once drunkenly swung frm a tree branch pretending to b tarzan n fell n grass stained my fav jeans at 4 in the morning n i lov spicy food despite the fact it mkes me sweat like a hog in the sun. more abt lana under the cut!!! also like this or hmu if u wna plot n her pinterest is here n playlist is here đşđ
ăkristine froseth & cis-femaleăâž jameson , lana, the junior radcliffe studentâs records show that she is a gemini and 22 years old. she is studying dance, living in off campus and can be vivacious, passionate, childish & impulsive. when i see her i am reminded of stepping out in the cold wearing just a red slip, lipstick on a strangerâs throat, a bumper sticker on the back of a convertible cadillac that says âSCRAPPY DOO IS A FILTHY SLUTâ. â˝ănai & 23 & gmt & she/her.ă
AESTHETICS:
scalding your fingers in shower water until they glow like rudolphâs nose, cherry red gym socks tugged high and nothing else, stepping out in the cold wearing just a red slip, an origami swan made from an old receipt, tickling a strangerâs chin with the end of a feather boa, crowning each finger with a miniature raspberry, hugging a knee close to lick a stripe of fruit juice off a bruise there, doodling penises in the condensation of a car window, a water pistol topped with rum and covered in glittery pin-up stickers, believable smiles that feel more like baring teeth, a bumper sticker on the back of a convertible cadillac that says âSCRAPPY DOO IS A FILTHY SLUTâ, prancing around in your underwear to a vinyl record with the curtains open.
HISTORY:
lana grew up in a big house in albany, NY. albums framed on the walls. mayb some rolling stone covers too frm way bk when of the bands her dadâs label signed. kind of like⌠a rock star palace w no evidence of children at all. i think i summarised it best in one of lanaâs self paras once when i said the garden ws âas big as it was unlovedâ, not that u wld know from all of the gardenerâs pruning
lanaâs mum victoria (vic) ws a music journalist w a pretty fruitful career ahead of her when she met lanaâs dad richard (rich). his record label ws jst starting out, founded on the coattails of his rich best friendâs (jensen peters) investment w his other best friend (who he jst calls knoxville). it rocketed to success when they signed poppy injects, a rock band w an electric stage presence, n victoria ws drawn to the glitz n glamour of a man tht ws at the helm of his aspiring industry. their love ws very impulsive, all or nothing right frm the start, n it ws almost like she ws mre in love w his accomplishments n what he represented than him
anyway so jameson records repped a few big rock bands bk in the eighties, altho poppy injects r who theyâre mostly known fr, namely bc of hw brightly they crashed n burned. (drugs/addiction tw) they were a big chart success bt the lead singer hd quite an intense struggle w heroin (wsnt rly subtle abt it either while he ws in the public eye as u cn probably imagine frm such an on-the-nose band name) n he ws always in n out of the papers. it eventually brought down his career n it ws a big publicity nightmare
lana pretty much⌠grew up around figures like this throughout childhood. rly troubled characters who wld kind of⌠b extremely volatile n destructive abt their troubles. the jameson house was kind of an open one as welcoming clients went n a lot of parties took place there. a lot of the time musicians wld b snorting lines in the kitchen when she wnted to grab a bowl of cereal fr breakfast. very strange environment fr a child to grow up in
her parents always kind of jst⌠didnât like her much. her older brother caleb ws unplanned bt they sort of welcomed the surprise more bt⌠quickly realised they werenât cut out fr parenthood n then when lana came as another surprise 3 yrs later they didnât even try to hide their resentment abt the situation. her mum ws actually booked in to have an abortion bt cldnt go through with it at the last minute. once when lana asked her why shes so cold towards her she jst turned her head frm her dresser, looked at her, told her abt this n said âidk why i didnât goâ. lana didnât kno wht to say to tht so she jst left her room n closed the door
(dissociation/delusion tw) bc of this growing up lana adopted this weird likeâŚ. she didnât rly kno what it ws bt it ws a delusion of sorts where she thought she ws a ghost. sheâd jst sort of⌠drift around the halls w noone acknowledging her n sometimes she ws jst convinced she wsnt actually there or they cldnt see her n she ws jst haunting the house frm a previous family
the one saving grace tho tht sort of?? gt her thru this n made her feel Seen ws caleb. lana quite genuinely hs always thought the sun shines out of her older brothers ass like she jst thinks. hes the best person in the entire world. wld b rly bewildered if anyone questioned tht. he wld always look out for her in the zoo they called a home n cut the crusts off her PBJs so they lkd like teddy bears (heâd cook fr them most of the time bc their parents were too busy/didnât care to) n sometimes wld even sleep at the bottom of her bed curled up like a guard dog. it ws always lana n caleb n his best friend tommy against the world in tht house (tommy lived next door n was always over bc he had very strict parents / a military father tht he found suffocating)
SO when caleb n tommy announced tht theyâd signed up to the army lana ws understandablyâŚâŚ.. blindsided. she ws rly upset tht they were leaving like pretty besides herself bt she tried not to b mad at them n made them promise theyd b safe n back as soon as possible. she even asked if they cld somehow take her w them n they were jst like :/ it doesnât work that way luv x
(death tw, ptsd tw, grief tw, trauma tw, hospitalisation tw, drugs tw) anyway caleb ended up getting discharged under grounds of severe ptsd when he witnessed tommy die in an explosion tht took place in a shock raid. caleb returned home sans tommy bt he was never the same after tht. heâs been in n out of hospital n he turned to using as a way to cope so itâs been a rly bumpy road since. lana kind of felt like two of her brothers died out there in a way n jst like tht it wasnât them vs the world any mre, it was jst her
ANYWAY whew tht rlyâŚ. took a dark turn thereâŚ.. chuckles nervously at hw sad lanaâs life is bt itâs fine itâs all fINE!!!!!!! ok. so on a mre lighthearted note the jameson family r pretty well off n bc of her relation to such a big music industry figure sheâs hung out w a fair few relatively high rep ppl thru her teens. mostly kids of celebrities n stuff like tht. she amassed kind of an instagram following mainly fr her style (penny lane-esque in some aspects aka lots of fur cuff trimmed jackets bt then also jstâŚ. a wild combination of everything honestly. pastel faux fur coats, seventies style platforms, flame red cowboy boots, pink fishnet tights n glitter used like highlight Everywhere) n bc sheâs undeniably Pretty Gorl
(trauma tw) after caleb got back he was rly withdrawn n depressed. he shut lana out n was kind of harsh to her a lot of the time, always telling her to leave him alone or pushing her away. it didnt help either tht lana had a rly traumatic experience w some of her dadâs colleagues at the label when she ws 16 n he was away n she cldnt even tell him abt it once he was bk bc of his own traumas. she kind of jst shut it all in n kept it to herself
(hypersexuality tw) this obviously?? made her spiral a lot. she was already a girl tht loved sex but since her trauma it gotâŚ. completely out of hand. it got to a point where she couldnt rly go 2 days without it, probably not even 1. her lowest point has probably been scrolling thru craiglist for anonymous encounters n meeting up w strangers on there fr hookups even tho itâs insanely dangerous n she cld wind up getting herself killed. the risk is honestly part of the appeal to her sometimes sheâs :////// quite self destructive n jst likes a thrill to mke her feel Alive. itâs v clear at this point tht she has a sex addiction whether sheâs ever admitted it or not. it kind of⌠almost mingled w tht same feeling she used to get when she ws younger of being a ghost?? like she jst. only rly feels Real when sheâs being touched
(violence tw)Â sheâs had.................... SCH a bad history dating wise. she almost always dates fking.... actual beasts like i jst wna gently shake her by the shoulders sometimes bt :////////////// one of her recent exes is in prison aftr he beat up someone sheâd slept w in front of her like she jst. has had a very Not Sexy time w romance...... she hd to b a witness in the trial abt it n he ws found guilty n sent down so it ws like Intense n a gd example of the kinds of disastrous relationships she gets herself into. perks of being a wallflower voice: We Accept The Love We Think We Deserve.
this past summer she gt a job at a burlesque club in downtown lovell!!! it honestly is her dream job like. dancing? being sexy? fav hobbies................. most delicious pastimes... 10/10 ideal fr her............... she almost started working at a coyote ugly bar bt this one won her over. she usually jets off to some foreign country n has a rly exotic n action packed summer bt i think she wldv just been working local there fr this one to b close to her brother (the rehab heâs at is close like a 40 min drive so!). sheâs also moved into a big lofty apartment w 3 roommates thtâs above a chinese take out w lots of lanterns hung outside. the street? scott street......................... tribute to mizz phoebe bridgers hunger games salutes to the sky so it travels 2 her............. she gt a red heart shaped bath tub installed which hs always been her dream so honestly the summer hs been pretty gd to her....... five stars on yelp she deserves Some happiness once in a while
PERSONALITY:
always smells vaguely of wild cherries or strawberry starburst or jst the candy aisle in general. if she ws a vinyl record sheâd b this one n sheâd only play good vibrations by the beach boys, dancing on my own by robyn, play that funky music by wild cherry, femme fatale by the velvet underground n (i canât get no) satisfaction by the rolling stones
growing up lana was always a HUGE social butterfly. knew everyone n everyone knew her. she ws one of those girls tht ws kind of impossible to ignore or forget (cld b a gd or bad thing depends on ur Stance...... she can be a lot tho frankly). very animated, always made u feel like u were the centre of the universe whenever she spoke to u, always made it feel like u were best friends even if ud only spoken to her once.
deliberately puts on tht kind of Magnetic Alluring act tht femme fatales wear in movies sometimes. kind ofâŚ. is always playing A Role of the person tht she wants to b seen as or the person she feels ppl want her to be. chameleons to situations. feels like sheâs performed as the vivacious n fun loving Lana Jameson fr so long tht she doesnât rly kno who she is beneath tht bt she isnât too keen to find out
always the last one awake at the party. jst doesnât seem to hv.... an off switch. every1 else cld b passed out at 6am n sheâd still b swaying around to sunday morning by the velvet underground in her underwear drinking frm a bottle of merlot
sheâs always been rly spontaneous n adventurous. always doing something weird n wild every weekend. she has ten thousand ridiculously absurd n chaotic stories
uncontrollably flirty. sheâs tht tumblr post thtâs like flirting will b ur hubris n the reply is like kind of sexy of u to say so................ SO confident cld talk to anyone. makes a joke out of anything. tends to laugh when she feels like crying. even if she DOES cry sheâll smile thru it like it isnât happening she jst.... doesnât like to b negative ever if she cn help it
sheâs amassed a weird collection of like... Things various ppl sheâs known hv made abt her. this guy she ws friends w wrote a song abt her n performed it at a gig she went to without telling her in advance. it ws rly dramatic he sang it n looked at her the whole time n she ws jst a bit like.... omg.... lmfao............... sheâs also hd various paintings done of her. i honestly dnt even rly kno hw it happens she jst has a personality where she..... leaves an impression like a lipstick print on a white shirt w some ppl.................. sheâs like tht tumblr post where someone arrives at a poetry reading n is like hi yes........ where do the muses sit? except she isnât rly.... obnoxious abt it she jst shrugs n is like.......... oh that........... KJHSFKHGSFKGHSFKGSFHGK. itâs a charmed life fr some
always dapples her fingers thru the breeze when sheâs driving in a car w the window down. she almost always has some sort of sweet on her, whether itâs sour haribo cherries or strawberry lollipops.
PLOTS:
exes tht lanaâs fucked over hideously. sheâd probably cheat a lot and itâd be a wholeâŚmess. whips her in the town square like gale
mayb someone tht flipped the switch and cheated on her??? chaos. anguish. strife.Â
someone tht works at the burlesque club in downtown lovell w her!!!!! as like a bartender or another dancer or security or................... whtvr honestly. hvnât worked out a name fr the club yet bt i think it cld b a fun setting to write stuff in n there cld b lots to build off there!!
a cousin plot cld b fun too

idk if ur interested in this but u always have bangin theories nd stuff abt zelda so i present to thee my reasoning for why i think spirit tracks is the latest game timeline wise and takes place after botw!! note there might be some inaccuracies bc ive been on a diet of dumb bitch juice since i was 3 but anyway, it makes a mention of the chancellor in one kf the cook books in hyrule castle, with rhe monster cake, but if it had already happened theyd have probably known cole was a bitch (1)
Donât worry, Iâm always interested! (It just might take me a while to respond sometimes)
I think this is an interesting way to look at these events, and you could have some fun with a scenario like that.
Personally, Iâm leaning more towards Breath of the Wild and Spirit Tracks being generally unrelated though (aside from the fact that theyâre both in the Zelda universe.)
As far as the currently established canon goes, Spirit Tracks is supposed to take place in a new Hyrule kingdom that is different from the Hyrule that appears in most other games, so itâs unlikely to be the same as in Breath of the Wild, though itâs certainly not impossible.
The Demon King from Spirit Trackâs backstory is called Malladus, and so far has been considered a different character than Ganon. So if Spirit Tracks were to take place after Breath of the Wild, Malladus would have to show up some time after Calamity Ganon.
But the general timeline isnât completely set in stone, and it subject to change if it benefits new ideas and such, so who knows what might happen?
My personal interpretation is that Breath of the Wild is so far in the future of all the other games that it really doesnât matter when exactly it takes place, but I also feel the Adult Timeline is the least likely spot for it, out of all three branches.
But thatâs just me, Iâve seen cool ideas where it actually is in the Adult Timeline, or a Merged Timeline for that matter!
Also, regarding the Chancellor Cole reference, I like to this that this was a different incarnation of Cole, similar to how you see many different incarnations of several characters in the series, like Beedle, Malon, etc.
Itâs fun to imagine a Breath of the Wild-style Cole :^p

In which Bolin plays with toys and Eska fails at flirting
Iâm going to have to think up a title for this story soon. I was thinking maybe âInto Open Waters.â
âHow dare she? How dare she?â
Eska paced around the room, trying her hardest to keep her voice low so as not to disturb Kinalik.  The stress of the previous sleepless night, their escape in the wee hours, the sheer physical effort required to waterbend all the way to Republic City with a toddler and luggage in tow, the energy required to interact with people in a strange placeâŚall of it was consuming her.
She collapsed in a chair, her body shaking and angry tears streaming down her face, which made her feel all the worse; like she was no more mature than her daughter.
Did their courtiers think that the twins did not hear the snickers and whispers of âhalf breed?â And yesterdayâŚthey had all looked at Kinalik like she was a monster. They felt that their only option was to get her out of there.
âI was trying to explain, but she wouldnât listen!â she moaned to her brother. Â
âPerhaps she felt the same about you,â Desna offered cautiously.
âPerhaps,â Eska muttered, making an enormous effort to control her crying.  âI have no harsh feelings towards our cousinâs significant other; she is not nearly as uncouth as the others.  I was justâŚtrying so hard not to cry in front of them that I forgot to thank her.  People only seem to care about what I do incorrectly; not what I do the appropriate way.  Yes, I know you are an exception, brother,â she hastily added to ward off his protests.  She furiously scrubbed the tears away. Â
âI recommend that we go to sleep right now and ponder the matter further in the morning,â Desna said.
âYesâŚthat would probably be wise.â
Eska was worried that sheâd have problems falling asleep like she often did in locations that werenât home. Â However, the rhythm of Kinalikâs breathing soothed her, and the trio was soon huddled together in a deep slumber.
When Eska woke up who-knows-how-late in the morning, her back was throbbing in pain. Â She supposed it was to be expected with all the exercise and lifting that she did yesterday. Even attempting to roll over caused her to moan. Thankfully, Desna had already awoken, and was ready with the bowl of water. He and Eska silently healed each other, then Eska also healed Kinalik, who was uninjured but wanted to do what the grownups were doing. Â It didnât get rid of all the pain, but reduced it enough to allow her to perform the usual morning functions and help Kinalik with hers.
When they got downstairs to the breakfast room, Korra was sitting there alone. Â She had finished her own meal, but there was still a pot of tea and a plate of steamed buns filled with bean paste on the table. Eska was impressed to see that theyâd remembered about Kinalikâs noodles, and that the childâs chair had a pile of cushions on it in lieu of a booster seat.
âAsamiâs in the shower,â Korra said in response to their unspoken query. Â âShe likes to fiddle around in her workshop first thing in the morning when sheâs feeling upset.â
Even Eska could tell that the last few words were pointed. Â âHm,â was all she could trust herself to say in response as she grabbed a bun.
âDoes she eat anything else?â Korra asked, referring to Kinalik. Â That was a somewhat safer topic, at least.
âRice. Eggs. Â Apples peeled and cut to slices exactly Âź inch thick. Â Arctic hen. Â Some types of fish; she seems to change her mind about exactly which types by the day,â Eska answered. Â She stopped to think. Â What else was there?
âWe have been having modest success in getting her to eat kelp,â Desna reminded.
âOh yes. Â The first time she ate that was a triumphant occasion indeed. Â And before you ask, cousin, we do give her a daily multivitamin.â
âI wasnât going to ask,â Korra said quickly. Â She took a sip of her tea and said, âI wonder if sheâd like Narookâs? Â They have a kidâs menu.â
âIs it noisy?â
âDinner can beâŚlunch is usually quieter.â
âWe will consider it.â
They were spared from doing further chatting for the moment by Asami entering the room, fully dressed but with a towel wrapped around her head. Â Korra looked at Eska expectantly.
Eska supposed that this was her cue to apologize. Â Damn it. Â Sheâd never cared about the feelings of anyone outside of her family before.
âIâmsorry,â she mumbled while looking down at her hands. Â This seemed to satisfy the requirements for now.
âItâs okay,â Asami said.  âI know you must have been under a lot of stress.  Now, is this enough food for you?  We could have the cook make something hotâŚâ
âThis is sufficient,â Desna assured her.
Asami sat down as well and got her own breakfast, and apparently decided that it would be best to get right to the point.
âSoâŚKorra said that you were concerned about Kinalikâs safetyâŚâ
âThat is one way to phrase it.â
âSo exactly how deep into hiding did you want to go?â
Good question.
âWe hadnât thought things through that far yet,â Desna admitted. Â âAll we were hoping for was to buy a few days of time to strategize. That was why we chose not to stay at a hotel.â
âSimply arriving at this destination was the main objective. Â They will discover our location sooner or later, but I doubt that they would take our lives here. Â Nevertheless, we should take precautions,â Eska added.
Korra and Asami stopped to think, and then Korra said, âWell, you do have one thing going for you. Â Youâre fairly obscure. Â Probably all that most people in Republic City know about you is that youâre those creepy twins.â
Eska clenched her jaw, and willed the angry words ready to spring from her back down her throat. She didnât want another argument to start so quickly. Â Desna appeared to be having a similar struggle, but was able to state in an even tone, âWe do like our privacy.â
While they had been talking, Kinalik had finished her noodles and was getting bored.
âDown!â she commanded. Â Eska rose to help her off the cushions, and sat back down with her daughter in her lap.
âAnd thatâs another thing,â Asami said. Â âI didnât even know of Kinalikâs existence until yesterday, and I donât think Korra did either.â
âThey may have mailed something,â Korra said. Â âBut I was kind of distracted at the time.â
âWe did air a birth announcement on the radio,â Eska remarked. Â Granted, it had run only once. Â At 6 AM. Â Neither the twins nor their advisors had wanted to call much attention to it.
âWell, anyway, if all that the general public knows about you is that youâre twins, weâd want to make you look as unalike as possible. Â Plus, the weatherâs much too warm right now for your regular wardrobes. Weâll need to shop for new clothes, and one of you might have to cut your hair.â
Asami looked over at Desna, but Eska quickly said, âIâll do it.â Â Desna had done so much for her; it was only fair that she should be the one to make this sacrifice.
âI have to go get the rest of my stuff this morning, butâŚhold on, let me write this down,â Korra said.â  She retrieved a notebook and pencil from a side table.
âAsami, could you take them downtown this afternoon?  Iâll probably want to rest, and youâre the one with the style sense. And umâŚI still canât drive that well.â
âSure, but maybe one at a time? Â Whoever is after them would be looking for twins.â
âNo prob. Desna, you okay with waiting until tomorrow?â
âWhatever you think is best,â Desna answered, albeit apparently with some unease about them being separated. Â The twins squeezed hands under the table.
âBolin might want to join us,â Asami remarked. Â âYou know how he is about makeovers.â
âOh, yeah, whoops, I forgot about Bolin. Â And we were going to do a proper introduction today.â
âI wonderâŚâ Asami trailed off as Korra scribbled away. Â
âHm?â
âI was just thinking about how to make all this more pleasant for Kinalik. Â I think I have an idea. Â You go over to Air Temple Island. Â I can take care of arranging things.â
ââKay, love you.â
They kissed. Â Eska was relieved. Â All of the talking had been making her dizzy.
After Korra had finally departed, Asami got Eska, Desna, and Kinalik situated in the living room. Unlike the more formal parlor theyâd seen on the tour yesterday, this room was stocked with comfortable furniture, which was a blessing for Eskaâs back. Â It was decorated with plush carpeting, wooden paneling, several paintings, and a tall bookcase in the corner. Â Eska made a beeline for the latter and thumbed through the selection.
While Eska was busy with her browsing, Asami used one of the mansionâs many phones to call Bolin.
âSo what do you think about coming over here shortly? Â Makeovers may be involved.â
Eska could hear Bolinâs shriek of joy from clear across the room. Â Asami had to hold the receiver at armâs length until he calmed down.
âI take it thatâs a yes?  Okay, what time?  Yeah, I think we can do that.  So see youâŚoh?  What is it?â
She listened for a few seconds, then said, âWell, Iâll ask them,â and covered the receiver with her hand.
âEska, Desna, Bolin says that Opal wants to come meet you. Â Is that okay?â
Eska was intrigued in spite of herself. Â She wanted to see just what sort of powerful woman had managed to ensnare her exâs heart.
âIt is all right with me. Â Desna?â
âMe as well.â
âGreat!â exclaimed Asami. Â She turned back to the receiver and said, âThatâs a yes from both of them. Â See you in a few, then? Â All right. Â No, Pabu had better stay at your apartment this time. Bye.â
She hung up the phone, then left the room, saying vaguely that she had to âget things ready.â
Eska, in the meantime, had found several recent issues of Republic City Style. Â She had first encountered this publication in the storage room of the library back home, and knew that it was trash, but had been unable to stop reading these chronicles of uncivilized famous people and their clothing. Â And it definitely wasnât because she was jealous of them and their hedonistic lives! Â No, if ever asked, she would claim that it was simply anthropological studies.
âAll right, letâs see who Ginger is dating now,â she murmured as she sat down to look at the pictures with Kinalik.
âMay I have one?â Desna asked.
âYou may.â
They were deeply engrossed in their reading material, with occasional snorts of incredulity from the twins and squeals of âPretty!â from Kinalik, when they heard something being hauled down the stairs and dragged into the living room.
âI found that box of t-o-y-s that I was telling you about yesterday!â Asami said as she beamed. She had removed her towel, and looked no worse for wear from the exertion. Â Eska wished that she could look that put-together.
âSo I was thinking that Bolin could help Kinalik look through these, and that maybe she would warm up to him more if she associated him with a positive thing like that.â
Kinalik perked up at the mention of her name. Â Eska thought that this was actually a clever idea, and wished that she could have thought of that herself.
âShall we see what is contained in here?â Eska asked Kinalik. Her daughter didnât answer verbally, but appeared happy for the first time since theyâd left the palace.
As Asami left to get some scissors with which to open the box, the doorbell rang.  The door was opened shortly thereafter, presumably by the butlerâŚwhat was his name again?
âWe have arrived!â Bolin announced as he bounded into the living room, followed closely behind by Opal.  âAndâŚhey neat, whatâs that?â  He gestured at the box.
Asami explained her idea to him as Kinalik removed the first item from the box: a stuffed animal in the form of a cat-owl.
âGreat, sounds great!â Bolin enthused as made to sit down right next to Kinalik, then caught himself in time and picked a spot a respectful couple of feet away.
Asami had certainly never been lacking in any amusement as a child; Eska felt a twinge when she remembered how her own toys had been taken away when she wasnât too much older than Kinalik. Â There were stuffed animals of all sorts (yes, including a turtleduck and a koala otter), dolls, and Satomobile models. Â Thankfully, nothing was in that box that would pose a choking hazard; Eska presumed that Kinalik was smart enough not to put toys in her mouth, but one never knew for sure.
Kinalik was insistent on doing the unpacking herself, and kept most of the toys to herself, but every so often she would shyly offer one to Bolin.
âThank you!â he exclaimed at her latest offering of a stuffed animal that was so worn that Eska couldnât even tell what it was supposed to be. Â âDo you wanna know something, Kinalik? Â I donât remember what toys I had when I was your age. Â I wish I did. Â So this is really as exciting for me as it is for you!â
Kinalik scrunched her nose, and either because she didnât know how to respond or didnât have the words, settled for âOkay.â Â But she did hand over a toy truck to him.
âOh, sheâs just adorable!â said Opal, which slightly startled Eska because sheâd been so focused on the scene across the room. Â She was seated at the opposite end of the couch from the twins.
âYes,â Eska answered. Â She and Desna switched places so that there would be no one between Eska and Opal. Then she remembered.
âI have on my possession a copy of Kinalikâs birth certificate,â Eska stated as she took the piece of paper out of her pocket. Â âIt contains proof that Bolin was not being unfaithful to you. Â Not with me, at least.â
Opal didnât move to take it.
âItâs okay, I believe you. Â Really,â she said.
It was just that easy? Â Eska had been anticipating a more frosty reception.
âSo what do you think? Â Can we be friends?â Opal asked as she smiled gently. Â She extended her hand, and Eska forced herself to make eye contact while tentatively reaching her arm out as well. Â But she only had the nerve to brush Opalâs fingers with her own.
Just then, there was much excitement from the duo on the floor.  Having removed all of the toys from the box, they had reached the best partâŚthe packing paper.  Kinalik reached for a particularly large piece and gleefully ripped it in half.
âThat makes a cool sound, doesnât it?â Bolin observed.
Kinalik studied the two halves in her hand, and then crumpled one up, walked over, and reached up to place it on Bolinâs head.
âOh wow! Â A hat! Â Just what I always wanted!â Bolin said with all evidence of sincerity. Â He tossed his head ever so slightly, and the paper fell to the floor.
âOOPS! Â It fell off! Â How clumsy of me!â
Kinalik looked at him, then at the paper, then back at him. Â And she laughed.
This was something that even Eska herself rarely elicited from her daughter. Â She wished that she could telepathically transmit to Bolin the significance of this event. Â But as he glanced over it her, it seemed that he already knew to some extent.
Shortly thereafter, Korra returned, and while the servants transferred her things, Asami herded them all into the main dining room for lunch.  Evidently, Korra had informed her partner of Kinalikâs preferences, because the meal was omeletsâŚplain for Kinalik and with vegetables for everyone else.  Kinalik actually ate most of hers, and even sampled a piece of mushroom from Eskaâs plate without spitting it back out.
When that was concluded, Desna put Kinalik down for a nap while Eska ventured out into the great unknown.
For what felt like the millionth time, Eska felt the ends of her now shoulder-length hair. Â It felt exceedingly strange to not have it hanging halfway down her back.
Also, the hairdresser had insisted on using hair clips to pin her bangs back.
âYou have such a perfectly-proportioned forehead!â the older woman had gushed. Â âAnd such delicate eyebrows. Â Why would you ever want to cover that up?â
At least it might work as a disguise. Â And Asami and Opal had wholeheartedly agreed with the stylist. Â They had tried to get Bolinâs opinion as well, but he held up his pointer finger for silence.
âPlease donât disturb me. Â I have attained manicure Nirvana,â he stated in an exaggerated whisper.
When Bolin had finally descended back down to Earth, they went clothes-shopping. Â First they got some everyday items. Â Eska was rather embarrassed that she had to wear clothing from the Juniors section due to her petite frame, but she managed to tolerate the shopping long enough to attain several new outfits. Â The store had a changing room in case one wanted to wear an outfit out of the store, so Eska had changed her regular tunic and leggings for a sky-blue shirt with cap sleeves, white pants that fell just below the knee, and white sandals. Â It was odd to have so much of her skin exposed in public, but it was amusing to imagine how the dreaded councilors back home would react.
She was taken aback when she realized that she would have to help carry her own belongings for the first time in her life, but decided not to argue.
Then Asami had remembered about Korraâs party, to which Eska hadnât realized that she was invited, so they went to a more upscale boutique that specialized in Water Tribe inspired designs to find a dress. Â Of course, the one that caught Eskaâs eye was too large for her, so she would have to come back later for fitting.
By the time that was over, all of them were loaded with shopping bags and getting tired, and Eskaâs back was acting up again. Â She still didnât understand why some girls and women did this for fun.
âThereâs a bubble tea shop just down the street. Â Letâs stop there,â Asami suggested.
Eska was about to inquire what bubble tea was, but her thoughts slammed on the brakes as a horrific sound rose from the corner next to the tea shop.
âWhat. Is. Â That?â she demanded as she jammed her fingers inside her ears.
âThatâs a trombone,â Opal answered. Â She and Asami rolled their eyes at Bolin, who was edging nervously closer toward the tea shop door.
Even leading such a sheltered life, Eska had heard of street musicians. Â But she had been under the impression that most did it for money. Â There was no tip box beside this manâs feet, so either he was just doing it for fun or wanted to cause all pedestrians an agonizing death. Â Probably the latter, she thought.
âI am going to ambulate over there right now and inform that man that he must cease and desist immediately,â she declared.
âMaybeâŚjust going inside would be a better idea?â Bolin offered.  âCome on quick, before he sees us!â
Bolin dashed inside, and the three women had no choice but to follow, Opal and Asami both making noises of disapproval.
They got their orders and sat down. Â Eska had assumed that the bubbles would be some form of carbonation, but they were actually solid spheres. Â She guessed that it was not called âsphere teaâ because it didnât roll off the tongue as easily. Â In any case, the spheres had a pleasantly chewy texture.
Meanwhile, Asami was still scolding Bolin.
âHeâs a much better person now and you know it!â she said.
âHe still scares me!â
âWell, I invited him to the party, so get used to him.â
âYou what?  Oh frickâŚhere he comes.â
The door abruptly swung open as if accompanied by a musical cue, and Trombone Man walked in like he owned the place.  To Eskaâs relief, he had put away that torture device for the present.  WaitâŚwhy was he making a beeline to their table?
âHi, Tahno!â Asami said cheerfully as Opal waved. Â The latter elbowed Bolin, who squeaked out a âHi!â
The name rang a bell. Â Eska tried to recall where sheâd encountered it.
âNow who is this lady here?â Tahno the Trombone Man asked. Â âI donât believe that Iâve seen you here with the Uh-vatarâs crowd before.â
Eska assumed that he was referring to Opal. Â But after several seconds, she realized that he was looking at her. Â Just in time, she remembered how she knew of him.
âI saw you in the magazines,â she said. Â âExcept then you werenât there anymore. Â And then you were, but not quite as often.â
âGuilty as charged.â
Was he flirting, or just making fun of her?
Eska rose from her seat and affixed her best glare.
âYour subpar pronounciation irritates my auditory receptacles. Â As does your so-called musical talent.â
The look she was giving him would have sent a whole room full of courtiers fleeing. Â But Trombone Man just laughed.
âOh, did I offend you, Ice Queen?â
Did he know? Â At any rate, Eska realized that he towered over her by at least a foot, despite her drawing herself up to as full a height as her back would allow. Â This would not do.
âIf I am the Ice Queen, then you are my subject. Â I demand that you swear fealty to me by kneeling.â
She heard three sharp intakes of breath.  But kneel Tahno did, after only a brief pause.  He kept his eyes and his smirk on Eska.  Eska remained outwardly composed (at least she hoped so), but her heart was starting to poundâŚfrom anxiety or from something else?
âOf courseâŚyou do know what this means, Ice Queen?  Now I must kiss your hand.â
Eska barely had time to process the words before Bolin leapt in between them.
âO-kaaaayyy!â he exclaimed louder than he had to. Â âI know weâre all having a wonderful time here, and it was great seeing you again, but look at the clock! Â We really have to be going now, so bye and see you at the party, I guess!â
He herded the trio of women out the door, drinks, bags, and all. Â Eska didnât know whether she wanted to thank him or throttle him.
âThat was interesting,â Eska mused as they walked back to the Satomobile. Â âHowever, I doubt he would show the submission required to be my husband.â
Bolin choked on his last sip of tea.
âMental images, Eska! Â Mental! Images!â he gasped out.
At least he was starting to show his true self around her.

1 3 and 10 c:
Ahh, thank you for the ask! c:
1. What is your favorite DC movie and why? And least favorite?
Justice League vs. Teen Titans! Because Iâm simply biased as hell.
To ALL of its elements! Azarath! In a MOVIE! Arellaâs story got RECOGNIZEdâ even ANIMATED! It gave Ravenâs gem a BACKSTORY! Itâs everything Iâve ever wanted out of a Teen Titans animation.
(Azarath being animated in a movie fulfilled my SOUL, you have NO fucking idea. It was AMAZING. And so well animated too? So pretty? So peaceful? So nice to look at? Holy god, I want ten thousand hours of documentaries on that place??? legitimate tears in my eyes when we saw it. honestly, it was just⌠it was so good.)
Not to mention, while the production value was Kinda Eh, the writing was really clever and the Moments (silly, fun, heartfelt, freaky, dramatic) were all really well done. It captured the âHeartâ of those feelings, emotive and raw and honest. I actually enjoyed the fun moments. Myself. And wasnât just âdistantly admiring people being happyâ. Do you know how much of an ACCOMPLISHMENT that is?
The music was really cool. Not to reveal my Immortal Inner Emo Kid. But âDown to Nothingâ is a really good song. (One of my only problems with this movie is that it was shoddily edited in the scene, and itâs a shame, because it really is a good song⌠{lD it was kinda my anthem for a long, long time after this movie. âHelp me: believe in something, cuz I am: broken, Iâm down to nothing. And itâs just so hard to be this way, but itâs just as hard to change. So: help me, believe in sooomethiiingâŚ.â)
youtube
(Because itâs in this movie, I grin a bit whenever Ciaran randomly shuffles it up. But also because I just really like the song itself.)
Also really cool: Trigon was an abusive asshole. Ultra mega props for that element; not just making him a Bad Guy because heâs Powerful and Wants to Rule the World, but legitimately showing that he was a BAD âGUYâ *and* a Bad Parent.
Also nice, Damian felt less shoehorned in than Certain Other Really Recent Robins were in the comicsâŚ. (The reason for that may have been glossed over and a touch cliche, but it worked for the movie. It did what it needed to, nothing more and nothing less.)
Good thing too, because Damian being A Kid was really nice to see. (Raven too, letâs be real. Those kids need more âfunâ in their lives.) Bond the children! BOND THEM, GODDAMN IT. Thatâs what any good Teen Titans story really needs; friends who are a FAMILY. They love each other, even if itâs hard-earned and hard-kept.
Focused on the PEOPLE, and their WELL-BEING, just as much as (if not MORESO!) than âohshit, Big Bad Guy to deal with hereâ.
(the rest is under a cut, because godDAMN. I got rambly once I started talking about Raven.)
And perhaps most important of all to me: Ravenâs characterization was amazing. Truly a masterpiece. Any time youâve got a comic character with 7 different tones and 3-4 Literal Deaths and like 28 different writers having handled her: It takes a LOT of work to pick and choose what you want to do with them. It takes a lot of WISDOM and even prowess to triangulate your Own Characterization between such dramatic differences. Raven has been cold and distant; warm and soft; sharp and bitter; lost and clueless; wise and knowledgeable; sheâs a very LAYERED and COMPLEX character even in each individual VERSION.
And the movie portrayed so many of her key characteristics so wonderfully. Itâs a very âcompleteâ picture of my absolutely Iconic Favorite Character, it encompasses so much of my Favorite Parts of her throughout her entire history, and it was just such a delight to experience. I, in my unpopular opinion (at least among my contemporary Cartoon-First Generation of Teen Titans Fans), actually really liked her voice actress, too? So subtle. So snarky. So soft, even with its edge of attitude. It was such a good fit for such a good incarnation!
And then thereâs the fact that they included Jaime (who does well on his own, but honestly always seemed like a natural fit to the team), Kori (a Key Titan, letâs be honest), and even Gar (because his playfulness is a key part of Whole-Team Characterization too honestly; it wouldnât be the same without him). It was a good setup, even with the comics this continuityâs based on being totally cracked.
And Cyborg showed up. Despite working âin the big Leaguesâ now. Thanks for throwing us that bone, at least. lD
And Damian? They did a great job of giving him character developement. Much needed. Good shit. If he canât be with Dick!Bats in this verse (and I deeply prefer Dick as Nightwing anyways), thatâs a really good fit for him. Learning to be human. Getting comfortable with Some Normalcy. Good and relateable.
That movie was just. Ahhh. SO Good. X3 As a Teen Titans fan especially, but also just as a person who likes a good Team Becoming Family story.
I love it. It has its caveats, but none of them dampen my obnoxiously heartfelt love for this thing.
*
(âŚyikes .after THAT essay, the rest of my answers are going to feel so shallow.)
All that bias aside though, my other favorite DC movie is definitely Wonder Woman. Hands down. Undoubtedly, no contest, no holds bar. It was a phenomenally well-told story with a lot of wit and compelling characters that used absolutely MASTERFUL rising action, and felt GENUINE. It was told from the heart as well as the camera, and it was told beautifully. Smoothly. It felt godly and human all at once. I canât explain it very well, but it was genuinely one of the best movies I have ever seen.
I never got very into Wonder Woman, but from what I know of the 80âs and the Really Recent comics: It also captured her backstory, her personality, and her Style of Heroism really well. But even without being very familiar with her as a character? Itâs a gorgeously well-done movie.
( Note: I still havenât seen Justice League yet, but from what Iâve heard, Iâll probably end up liking that one too.)
*
Least favorite? I donât know, honestly.
(My least favorite superhero movie is that one Marvel one with Vision, because I literally fell asleep while watching it. Thatâs the first time in my entire life Iâve fallen asleep while watching ANYTHING.)
But for DC, even the silly obnoxiously-radioactive-colored Batman and Robin has its place in history.
Can I just say, maybe⌠âthe Injustice: Gods Among Us cutscenesâ?- ravenâs voice really grates my nerves, and not even in a Fun Creepy Way.- Whose idea was it to have SUPERMAN go evil? Like? ?? Who thought that was in any way a reasonable idea. - the story in that game felt really cobbled together. The comics are a lot more interesting, fun, and though thereâs a lot of, like, Random Occurrences that seem to happen Exclusively For The Drama, in the game there are a lot of ill-explained things and general Random Chaos. Not my kinda story.
*
3. Which DC character should be introduced in movies/shows? Or have a movie/show of their own?
I mean. My automatic response is âRavenâ, but I only ever want to see that if itâs being done right. The way CW wanted to do it kinda ripped the heart of everything I know/love about her to shreds. (âRelateable normal teen girl sudden has powersâ? What? What??? Thatâs literally NONE of Ravenâs backstory, shoo. Begone. Good riddance.)
That aside, Iâd honestly probably watch the HELL out of a Nightwing show. Or movie. Just LET DICK BE HIMSELF. Without being attached at the history AND HIP to Bruce!
Or Death? or Sandman? I donât know how well theyâd translate to TV; Nightwing would certainly be the safer bet. Neil Gaimanâs writing is half as great as it is because of the WRITING. The style. The narrations⌠But, I mean: Coraline was just wonderful~ So why not a Sandman movie, too? Given the right director, and the right special effects teamâŚ?
(Constantine wouldâve been next on my list, for a better movie anyway. but heâs already getting some decent recognition. So whoop whoop. Good shit. Nice Decision, DC. I Approve.)
10. Which DC character portrayal do you think is better in the comics than in the movies?
Batman. By far.
Iâm just sick of all this manpain and gritty, utterly-unyielding violence, and⌠politics? Whereâs the humanity?
Arenât these writers forgetting that heâs someone who has suffered, and is doing all this, not just to beat up bad guys and look cool, but to save others from what theyd do? To HELP PEOPLE, not to growl like a man-tiger and punch things?
You can be badass and still have a heart, you know. Comics!Bruce does. (Most of the time.) And thatâs a big part of why I like reading Batman comics so much.
And on that note, the conspicuous lack of Robins in (most) movies is an insult to comic history. Batmanâs family-seeking and protect-the-children tendancies make for a much more interesting franchise, honestly. Give us a colorful cast! (Literally!) Give us diversity! Give us more stories with more characters so it has more facets than just âsome guy wants to kill people; canât have thatâ!)
As a sidenote: what Iâve seen of Gotham, itâs doing a really good job of encapsulating his Heroic Tendencies as well as his âsense of Dutyâ to Gotham and its people, while keeping him human AND super cool. Thatâs an important balance.

Geeks - Fireworks review
My review for Geeksâ 2nd full length album!
20 Questions - The instrumental on this one INSTANTLY made me dance. Itâs so nice and fun but chill too. The chorus is so catchy. I canât even really live review this one because Iâm too busy dancing to type. LOL.  Louie and Lil Boiâs raps are on point as usual. Itâs a nice song
Woo - I already heard this song and posted it here earlier today just putting that out there so you know this one isnât live reviewed. This one is nice as well. Not as danceable but just a chill song. Iâm guessing this is just gonna be an overall laid back album based on the first two songs. If you know me then you know that already gives this album an unfair advantage over others I reviewed. The chill vibe is one of my favorite styles. This is a nice song too. I like â20 Questionsâ more still though.Â
Troubles Travels - This song is bit harder than the other two. Still keeps the laid back style though of course. This is rare but I like Louieâs rap better on this song. I see you Louie! The featuring artist (the singer) is Taylor. Iâm not familiar with this singer but he fits well on this track. doesnât âtake up too much spaceâ and make it sound like his song. He does his job well as a featuring artist and Geeks donât let him outshine them on their own track (cause thatâs embarrassing but happens a lot unfortunately).
#midnightdream #summer #rsh - Not quite sure what this is supposed to be. Maybe itâs an interlude type thing or something? It could have been done better. I donât know if this is a sampled from SK or what. Iâve never heard it. It doesnât connect the first part of the album to âDivinââ and the next part of the album all that well. Not sound wise at least. It doesnât have Geeks on it. Just a guy singing. It could have been worse though. No harm no foul I guess.
Divinâ -Â You guys know this is my jam! Iâve heard this MULTIPLE times as you guys probably have too. Itâs a great song. So again, DEFINITELY not live reviewed. Iâve heard it way to many times to even pretend like this is anything close to a first hearing.Â
247365 ft Sik-K - *paused the song so I can give a preface*Â So first, I wanna talk about how Sik-K is in this song. Sik-K does a style similar to this album now so I think heâs gonna be a good addition to this. *unpaused* Lil Boi is going in! This is gonna be another song where I canât stop dancing so excuse me if this is a bit short. OK so Sik-Kâs part fit perfectly on this track! At one point I kinda thought he was gonna end up taking it over because he was really good. I thought heâd end up outclassing Louie but then Louie came in and killed it. (Why do I keep doubting my boy Louie? Please forgive me!). Sik-K doesnât even sound like a featuring artist on this song. Usually that would be a sign that the main artists are getting outclassed and Iâd call that a negative. On this track, it sounds as if Geeks is a trio. Geeks are really killing it. I honestly, did NOT expect to like this album that much. Iâm NOT the biggest Geeks fan but by the end of this album I might be.
Good Girl ft Duplex G, Hyorin - Give me a break. Geeks pulling no punches on this album. Came through with a Hyorin feature too!?!? And you guessed it, this song is great too. Geeks is standing their own with some pretty strong artists on this album. Duplex G doesnât really do much but say one line. âI wanna get itâ basically. Doesnât add that much to the song but itâs not bad.
Analog ft Cheska - *preface* Alright Iâm a little  familiar with Cheskaâs work. I expect her to be good on this track *unpaused* This album is so damn sexual. Heâs a Big Boi now. They arenât such Geeks anymore. The glow up is real (alright Iâm done lol). I really like this song. Itâs an R&B-ish track.Â
F.U.L.U - Lil Boi is so on point. I donât know why Iâm so surprised because heâs always been dope. Not my favorite song but ,as usual, not bad. Itâs a pretty nice song and would I would probably like it more if it hadnât been among so many other good songs.
#LoveYou #fall #rsh - OK so this one is another interlude with the same guy singing as the #summer one. Guy has a nice voice. Canât doubt that. I still think they should have done something different with these. Because they are really rock style but the rest of the album isnât. So thereâs a dissonance. Again, it could be worse. They arenât terrible but could have been done differently and better. I see what they are doing though.Â
#Wecanteventhink - This song is much more somber than anything else on the album so far. Definitely has a different feel as expected given the interlude to this part. Louieâs rap is so awesome.Â
Troublemaker ft Stella Jang -Â This one is much less somber. Kinda goes back up to the style of the other songs. The instrumental is kinda weird. Thereâs some weird random, out of place drumbeats at certain places and it REALLY could have done without them. Without those beats it could have been a perfectly fine instrumental. I legit thought something was happening out side but itâs actually part of the instrumental. So thereâs that. Otherwise this a perfectly fine song. Again, iâd probably appreciate it better if it wasnât among so many other great tracks.
Back 2 U ft Channel 23 -Â Not much here. Just an alright song. Not all that remarkable.Â
Ring Ring - I like this one. Itâs catchy. Definitely not my favorite though.Â
*preface to track 15* Iâve already heard this one as well. âSometimesâ is the song. Geeks already released it before this album but I havenât heard it in a while and never listened to it more than probably twice.Â
Sometimes ft Crush and Giriboy - Â I didnât like this song all that much when I first heard it. It was alright but wasnât all that interesting to me so I kinda forgot about it. Crushâs voice sounds nice as expected. I actually kinda like this song? I wonder why it didnât hit with me when I first heard it? Of course, it has an unfair advantage to other songs since this isnât my first time hearing it. A lot for the time songs sound better to me upon further listens anyway so itâs not all that surprising. One problem I will say though, by the time Giri gets on I canât even remember Geeks verses. So thatâs a negative. Not bad though. Glad, I Â got to revisit this one because I probably would have never listened to it again.
Fireworks - This song sound kinda out of place with the other songs on this part of the album. I think maybe having it somewhere else would have been better but then it kinda sounds out of place in general lol. Again, not a bad song but doesnât stand up to other songs on the album. I think Iâm just so spoiled by the other songs that the bar has been raised WAY to high.Â
Overall, this is a GREAT album. Iâm gonna have to cop this. I was NOT expecting to be this impressed by this album. ITâs GREAT. I think this is the BEST review Iâve EVER given to any LP or EP on here. Again, I WASNâT a big Geeks fan going in to this review. Theyâve completely surprised me with this. I had no clue this was gonna be this good. I was waiting for since I was curious to see what theyâd have to offer and they really brought it. As for my favorite song? Iâm gonna exclude Divinâ because Iâve already been a fan of it for so long. Maybe Iâll revisit this again after Iâve really had time to take in all the songs and I wonât exclude Divinâ but for right now I am. Iâll say my favorite songs â20 Questionsâ and â247365âł with âAnalogâ and âGood Girlâ as seconds. Great job Geeks! Iâll be looking forward to your next releases. Sorry for ever doubting you.

COMIC TEA PARTY- THURSDAY BOOK CLUB START!
Good evening, everyone~! This weekâs Thursday Book Club is officially beginning! Today we are discussing Pikeâs Reach by Mabs~! (https://tapas.io/series/pikesreach)
Remember that Thursday discussions are completely freeform! However, every 30 minutes I will drop in OPTIONAL discussion questions in case youâd like a bit of a prompt. If you miss out on one of these prompts, you can find them pinned for the chatâs duration. Additionally, remember that while constructive criticism is allowed, our focus is fun and respectfully appreciating the comic. All that said, letâs begin!
QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?
Superjustinbros
Hello!!
RebelVampire
hey super~!
my favorite scene is probably the fight with ezo and nefayn. largely because of https://tapas.io/episode/1179545 this page. i really just like the first few panels illustration wise cause even though theyre simplistic, i kind of feel like they convey this ominous sense of defeaning silence that is appropriate for conveying tension right after something climatic happens
Superjustinbros
https://tapas.io/episode/1234181
RebelVampire
yes there is also that scene. XD which was some good comic relief considering the comic was being very dramatic at the time.
also a good lesson about making sure someone gives permission
instead of just knocking and opening the door
Superjustinbros
yes
Because naked people
RebelVampire
another comical scene i enjoyed was the where they were showing off their drawings of pella's uncle. https://tapas.io/episode/962506 because man are those some not great drawings. especially that left one scares me
Superjustinbros
Oh my god
RebelVampire
another moment i liked, which isnt a scene but more a scene transition you could say, is when the comic switches from adelaide goofing around and then suddenly the warning bell rings.
https://tapas.io/episode/604008
in particular that page
i really love the shots and especially the ominous overtone the first panel has
cause it really helps visually convey the serious has come
Superjustinbros
I love the art style and general color scheme, lots of pinks and purples
mathtans
Made it, though I may not be mentally all here, today's been crazy.
Superjustinbros
hey Math
mathtans
One of my faves was actually to start Chapter 3, when we looked at the "villains" and the main guy was talking about how he didn't want them dead, more turned to his side. I liked the humanizing aspect of the antagonists.
Superjustinbros
Same
mathtans
Too often we just see things kind of one sided. This didn't go that way.
Superjustinbros
Villains that do more than just want the main character(s) dead are always good
mathtans
As far as comedy goes, I liked the brief scene where Adelaide "winked"... maybe... because she could have been blinking and her hair was in the way.
Though I also liked the "cold feet" bit where Nefayn was laughing and Nassar didn't know. In particular it was sort of called back later when he was thrilled that she liked his jokes.
RebelVampire
yeah i really enjoyed that moment with the antagonists. also partially cause i like it being explained why they dont just crush the army cause adelaide is already being silly meeting them on an open field and not using the fort's defenses as was intended
mathtans
Little one's fussing.(edited)
Superjustinbros
Rebel gets it
RebelVampire
but yeah i liked this humanizing affect too of course. because conflicts of territory are rarely straight forward evil guy wants to rule over all the things
Superjustinbros
^
RebelVampire
that and selfishly i really wanted to like pella and that scene proved to me that it was okay to like him cause hes just a goofy sparkly dude just trying to unite the lands.
Superjustinbros
heehee~
Mabs
Hi there! I'm Mabs and the creator of Pike's Reach! I can't stay for too long because sudden school stuff came up, but I wanted to say THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for reading PR! Your comments are making me really happy ;w;
Superjustinbros
Hi!!!
RebelVampire
QUESTION 2. Unfortunately for Nefayn, she is cursed twice over both in body and magic. Who do you think cursed her with the first seal and for what reason? Could the culprit be Ezo considering she and Pella seemed to know Nefayn? Why was said culprit pursuing her? In other words, what are their long-term goals in using her? How powerful do you think Nefayn was before the first seal came to be? Now that Nefayn is sealed twice over to be all but human, how will this affect her helpfulness in a battle? Do you believe that Nefayn will be able to undo the seals eventually and return herself to her original form and power? If so, how might this affect her growing relationship with Adelaide?
glad you could stop by, mabs~!
im torn on the culprit issue. on the one hand ezo seems likely cause from her characterization that seems like something shed do. but on the other hand their army is kind of near the end of their campaign since pike's reach is the last one standing and they dont want to murder hobo them. so idk why theyd need nefayn. i kind of like to think theres something bigger gonna show up and pella and adelaide are gonna join forces to defeat it. and that whatever the it is is what's after nefayn. but that could be wishful thinking cause i always cheer for antagonist protagonist team ups when both are basically good dudes with different goals
mathtans
(I swear, my life after 8pm is running back and forth to my little daughter's room.)
RebelVampire
as for goals, maybe using her as a magic conduit. cause thats the only thing i can think of.
mathtans
I get what you were saying about the climactic magic fight scene earlier btw. Just I've never been huge on drama, you know me. ^.^
Superjustinbros
perhaps
also lol math
mathtans
Oh, hi Mabs! I ship everyone!
Superjustinbros
lol
Mabs
Hi there! Yes good, please ship all the characters.
Superjustinbros
Will do~
especially this page https://tapas.io/episode/1221349
mathtans
I wonder if Nefayn was originally that uncle that the General was talking about. Except that would destroy the best ship, so I'm not sure I like that possiblity.
RebelVampire
if were shipping all the ships i now accept https://tapas.io/episode/1077847 this page as canon
mathtans
Yeah, I don't know that it's Ezo. There was also that scene where Nefayn said she thought the big Pike's room seemed familiar, so I feel like she was a citizen of the place somehow.
A teamup would be pretty cool between the two groups. Maybe the West has been getting more organized than they realize, there was some mention of the latest attack being more of a ruse.
Hah. That was a funny one.
Part of me actually ships Ezo and Nefayn, in that sort of 'mortal enemies become friends' kind of deal. So I guess Adelaide ends up with the General's second in command? This was probably heresy to propose.
RebelVampire
idk. shooting someone in the chest seems like a romance deal breaker there XD
Superjustinbros
all ships set sail here
mathtans
It was an arrow of love and respect. Deep down. After all, it didn't kill her.
RebelVampire
but yeah the west could certainly become a threat. or even just one person in the west. like maybe one nation got themselves some guns and are bringing their guns to all the sword fights
mathtans
("It was worse than death, I was made human.")
RebelVampire
LOL
mathtans
As long as they don't bring the gunpowder, it's fine.
RebelVampire
Ezo wanted to make Nefayn human cause she too supports the adelaide/nefayn ship
it was the plan all along
mathtans
Actually, it's not a bad plan. Good way to make the enemy commander very distracted.
RebelVampire
and tbf it does probably take nefayn out of the battle a bit. cause being human has its mortal perils.
mathtans
Here's a possibly related question, who keeps sending the evil things to attack Adelaide? Which makes her sleep with a sword? I don't think it's the general, he seems honourable enough to keep his distance after losing, at least for a while. Maybe it's the same person who did the thing to Nefayn.
Flying is more of a problem for humans.
RebelVampire
i just assumed the magic things showed up of their own accord.
although
pella and ezo dont seem to be plagued by birds
so maybe someone is sending them
or adelaide is special and theyre super attracted to her
mathtans
Right.
Everyone's super attracted to the heroine.
RebelVampire
XD
this is an interesting line of thought
cause i definitey doubt it's pella
cause the impression i got is that this has plagued adelaide for much longer than pike's reach has been under siege
since the sword thing is usually the sign of a long term habit
mathtans
I wonder if maybe the charm that was mentioned as something to keep her safe is actually attracting all the problems. Though it'd need to be something fairies can't pick up on.
Superjustinbros
@mathtans must be one really sexy heroine
RebelVampire
these are some good catches math. i really didnt pay much mind to any of these mentions. that could be though. and tbf nefayn's powers were already partly sealed from the get go so i wouldnt be surprised if shes missing out on some magic things
mathtans
Thanks. ^^ I guess it just struck me as interesting that she's got the sleep issues, and no one else seemed to.
I was wondering if one of Nefayn's powers was to grow big.
RebelVampire
maybe. although i keep thinking its gonna wind up shes a goddess or something O_O
not a fairy sized goddess mind you cause she does mention that fairy form is not her original size
although to the stuff b4 that brings up an interesting point about how much can the magic world interact with the non-magic. cause obviously adelaide being able to see magic and stuff makes her able to interact with it. but how aware does a non magic person have to be before magic stuff can affect them
mathtans
Goddess of sparkles.
RebelVampire
like obviously the others cant see nefayn
but can nefayn like punch them
and theyll be like "oww what a random pain"
mathtans
Well, since magic mines could influence people, I imagine if you make the effect large enough, it'd register.
What if Nefayn caresses?
(I mean, kinda moot now, but still.)
RebelVampire
yeah the magic mines worked. cause if the magic can affect the non magic regardless of their ability to see it, it adds evidence to the idea those birds are super out to get adelaide specifically
QUESTION 3. Magic seems to be at the center of several other mysteries that are presented in the comic. What is Pikeâs Reachâs past with magic regarding the mention of a catastrophe involving it? Is Pella onto something about everyone being Adelaideâs age? What might this have to do with the previous lord of Pikeâs Reach and Adelaide becoming its lord? How might any of this relate to the fact that Nefayn appears to recall being at Pikeâs Reach for a brief moment? There is also the issue of Pellaâs missing uncle. What do you think happened to his uncle? How might Pellaâs uncle be related to past or present events that occurred in Pikeâs Reach? Lastly, will Pella ever discover the truth about his uncle?(edited)
Superjustinbros
That's a cool skill imo
mathtans
Oh yeah, my memory had kind of glossed over that whole catastrophe thing. And the age thing too. Hm, really good points. Maybe they don't physically age in Pike's? Like, they're actually 60, but have the bodies of people much younger?
Again, suspected the uncle might be Nefayn, but that sinks the ship.
Superjustinbros
lol
RebelVampire
if the uncle isnt adelaide's father i will be so surprised
mathtans
Oh! Maybe the uncle is the one who cursed Nefayn.
I wondered about that. If the seeing magic lineage was a direct ancestry. But it might make sense for the uncle to be the one attacking Adelaide too.
RebelVampire
https://tapas.io/episode/970094
like legit look at that family resemblence
https://tapas.io/episode/822837 and pella and adelaide have the same eye color too
and theres no reason it cant be both
adelaide's father and the real antagonist
mathtans
Valid arguments. Maybe it's a red herring though. (Or a red pike! Hah!)
RebelVampire
id even peg him for the causer of this supposed catastrophe. not on purpose. but he vanished and hes after nefayn to try and fix his mistakes.
mathtans
Or maybe he's dead, and he left behind the ultimate weapon to use in case of dire magic circumstances, down in the catacombs.
Or maybe he's undead. He's a necromancer.
Superjustinbros
Could be that now that you mention it
mathtans
As Nassar would say, a very grave matter.
RebelVampire
the charm is the key and thats why the birds are after adelaide. they want that ultimate weapon
birds love ultimate weapons
alternatively he couldve been the one to stop the catastrophe from becoming worse too
mathtans
Adelaide's love is the ultimate weapon.
RebelVampire
cause the fact the catastrophe only took out the elderly or so is implied makes that a very targetted attack. and him being the savior makes sense for why everyone made adelaide the lord.
mathtans
Ah, right, I guess I was still on the "elderly look young" track not the "elderly died" track.
Maybe they were all turned into fairies instead.
Maybe the uncle was turned into a pike.
RebelVampire
or everyone was
theyre all pikes
in the nearby lake
the place was previously called nefayn's love nest, but they renamed it to pike's reach cause theyre always trying to reach those pike
mathtans
spit-take
Lovely vacation spot it is either way.
Mabs
You all are absolutely hilarious and I have really been enjoying reading this. Thank you so much for reading so thoroughly gosh. I have to go to a school thing but I'll be sure to check back later and read the logs! Thanks again
RebelVampire
np and good luck with school~!
Superjustinbros
Cya, Mabs!
And good luck from me as well~
mathtans
Thank you for the creation! Hope school goes well.
Mabs
Thanks again! Bye all~ Good luck with the rest of your discussion
Superjustinbros
Bye!
RebelVampire
ya know, since nefayn doesnt quite remember pike's reach outside of haziness, i wonder if theres some magical third seal that was meant to hide her own memories. a third seal set up by certain uncles.
mathtans
Speaking of school, if there's no older adults, who runs public institutions?
Maybe she set the third seal herself. Nefayn was the cause of the magical catastrophe, doesn't want to remember it.
Everyone fighting about the love nest.
RebelVampire
idk. hard to say without an exact timeline. also without exact knowledge of their system of governance. like for example, education could just be an at home by parents thing. so no actual public institution for it. but i also dont know the cut off date. and maybe no all the old ppl are dead. more its just heavily skewed to one age group
mathtans
"We're in favour of same sex marriage." "Oh, well, we're leaving then." "You realize the founder of this place was gay?" "We're definitely leaving."
I liked Nassar's story, incidentally.
Some good zingers too. "Reel", heh.
RebelVampire
i really hope we get to see more of adelaide's group. cause i feel there isnt enough nassar yet. we need more puns
mathtans
Yis. Looked like we were getting some focus on Berlin towards the end.
RebelVampire
QUESTION 4. Despite the romance and good feels in Pikeâs Reach, they are the last fortress standing against the Eastern hordes. Do you believe Pella is genuine about his desire to unite the east to make the country a better place? Why do you think Pikeâs Reach is so ardent about not uniting with the rest of the eastern lands? As time drags on, do you think Pella will give into his advisors and stop going so soft on Pikeâs Reach? Will Ezo being injured drive them to it potentially? Alternatively, do you think Pikeâs Reach and the Eastern hordes might join forces and put their differences aside for some reason? All in all, who do you think will emerge victorious?
mathtans
Ezo's injury could do that (escalate things), since Pella seems to have that thing for her. Honestly, I don't quite see why he's so keen on the uniting to this extent... is it all ego? I mean, why not just be glad you've got 95% of the continent?
It might be interesting if they join forces though.
I hope love emerges victorious.
RebelVampire
i do think ezo's injury is gonna make pella made. at least enough to challenge adelaide to another duel. but then he might also be mad at ezo and be like wtf ezo we were retreating
i dont think its all ego
just more its kind of awkward to not have pike's reach not united with the rest
cause according to that map pike's reach is basically surrounded on all sides
by pella's united country
mathtans
They'll have to redraw all the maps if Pike's given in though.
What the PUC?
Superjustinbros
D:
mathtans
I feel like Ezo needs a friend even more than Adelaide. One who won't keep patting her on the head.
Maybe the injury will mellow her out, but I doubt it.
RebelVampire
i feel like ezo first needs to take a chill pill and stop going all life or death on everything
https://tapas.io/episode/850159 by this map id also assume pike's reach is a strategic advantage cause its closer to the west so if the west tries something its a good outpost to use to stave off an attack traveling in further eastward toward the capital
but all in all i think pella is genuine and really does want to make the country a better place.
mathtans
I can see that. It's a cool map too.
Superjustinbros
Yeah
Feels a lot like Europe/Russia/Asia merged into one
mathtans
"I will bring you love even if I have to smack you around."
RebelVampire
i actually dont know why pike's reach wouldnt want to unite with them to be honest. XD cause trade would be a nightmare at this point cause youd always have to try to skirt and sneak through the eastern horde lands. if the eastern hordes go to war with someone, land troops would be moved through pike's reach anyway. and to me it just seems pike's reach is more holding out for pride
but i guess tbf we dont know much about pella's country. maybe they eat babies and pike's reach has a strict no baby eating policy
mathtans
That's a fair point. Maybe there's something to the whole magic catastrophe, like they used to be a united continent and it went badly for them.
Jelly babies.
Incidentally, they seem to have all the major seasons, so don't live near an equator.
RebelVampire
i mean i guess it could just be an issue they dont want to be governed except by their own ppl or something. idk. i do feel the magic catastrophe has left some scares and suspicions. and ezo is proof pella isnt opposed to magic.
mathtans
Maybe, heritage and traditions or something. Ooh, maybe aliens will come and attack. That would unite everyone.
RebelVampire
this might be the wrong genre for that
maybe nefayn gets kidnapped
and they unite to save nefayn
cause love is the only thing that matters
mathtans
Could be. Oh, that's a thought, since she's vulnerable now and Adelaine owes her one or two.
Oh, and one nice bit I wanted to mention, the gag about her height.
RebelVampire
youll have to be more specific cause my mind is blanking on which specific gag youre referring to XD
although speaking of gags i liked the one where adelaide and nefayn were having the eating contest. except no one could see nefayn. XD
Superjustinbros
Alright, I'm gonna take my leave for now, thanks for the CTP and best of luck to Mabs on the story~
mathtans
(Sorry, little one again.)
The gag with Nefryn still being short... but being at an okay height. (Like, who isn't thinking that... )
That was amusing too. I wonder if you can get away with stuff when you see magic. "Uh, I wasn't talking to myself, no. Sure."
Have a good one, SJB!
RebelVampire
ah okay i know which gag you mean. that one was funny. XD
mathtans
Final closing thought, slow burn romance can be fun for when things come to a peak. Or a pike. ^.^
RebelVampire
i feel in general theres been a lot more jokes like that since nefayn became human
mathtans
It's been good for alleviating some of the tension.
RebelVampire

Stanley Cup playoffs roundtable: our writers forecast the postseason
New Post has been published on https://writingguideto.com/must-see/stanley-cup-playoffs-roundtable-our-writers-forecast-the-postseason/
Stanley Cup playoffs roundtable: our writers forecast the postseason
The puck drops Wednesday as 16 teams kick off their quest for the Cup. Our writers predicts the winner, key players and dark horses
Most entertaining team that didnt make it
From 3 November to 27 December, the Buffalo Sabres lost only one game. But after that, they dropped off horribly. Through their final 19 games of the year, the Sabres won only four, and on Sunday, the team fired head coach Phil Housley. It was fun while it lasted, and its a shame it didnt last longer. CH
Most entertaining team that didnt make it: Entertainment can come in sardonic forms, and in that respect Ive been constantly entertained by the many missteps the Ottawa Senators have made as an organization this year. From embarrassingly humorous Uber videos, to an owner that went after well-respected local media, to trading away the teams best players and then finishing dead last, the Senators are in the pole position to win the NHL draft lottery. And that would probably be the sign of a team turning the corner ⌠until you remember theyd already traded away the pick. JK
Its Montreal, who thrilled hockey fans by going 7-2-1 in their final 10 games in a last-ditch attempt to qualify for the postseason. The Habs 96 points tied an NHL record for the most points by a team that didnt quality for the postseason and they improved 25 points over last year. CR
High-seed most at risk of going out early
Calgary had a terrific season, and have been one of the most interesting (and often entertaining) teams to watch. They Flames score a lot (288 total goals this year) and frequently when short-handed but they also concede a ton (220 this year), and though goaltenders Mike Smith and David Rittich have each, at times, been solid, there is still a question of whether either can be clutch in the playoffs. CH
The Jets feel like the obvious choice here. Theyve gone 3-5-1 in their last nine and havent really looked dominant for two months now. Still, as many points as the Calgary Flames accumulated this season in topping the Western Conference, theyve been past the first round just once in the last 13 seasons. Im not bullish on their chances. JK
Tampa Bay are the second round against the Boston Bruins. Although the Lightning tied the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings with a record 62-win season, the Atlantic Division is the strongest in the NHL. Tampa and Boston finished Nos 1 and 2 (tied with Calgary) in the entire league for points. The Bolts are the strong Stanley Cup favorite, but Boston should not be counted out. CR
Dark horse to win
The Boston Bruins. They finished the season strong, grabbing 13 wins in their last 20 games, peaking at the right time of the year. The Bruins lost two of their three games against Tampa Bay this year (including their last game of the season), but if they somehow manage to topple them in the Eastern Conference playoffs, the Bruins could emerge well positioned to take the whole thing. CH
The St Louis Blues. The excellent Justin Bourne laid out his bargument on why it will be a weird-ass team that wins the Stanley Cup this season, and if theres any team outside of Tampa Bay, Boston or Washington that qualifies, its the Blues. On 2 January, the Blues were dead last in the NHL. Since then, theyve put together a crazy good run, going 30-10-0, good for first in the league in points during that span. Twenty-five-year old rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington has been a ton of fun to watch with his .930 save percentage over that stretch. JK
The St Louis Blues were 15-18-14 at the end of the calendar year in last place in the entire NHL. Nobody gave them a chance to make the postseason then, and few believe they can knock off the Winnipeg Jets now. But after 1 January, the Blues went 30-10-5 to post the best record of any team and the Blues may surprise some people. Although the Jets were dominant in the season series (3-1-1), the teams havent played each other since December, so throw that record out the window. CR
Most important player in the postseason
Nikita Kucherov. Every other team in the East and whichever emerges victorious in the West had better hope Kucherov comes down with a bad case of Rick Nash syndrome and completely ghosts in the playoffs to hold out any hope of finding a way to beat the high-flying Tampa Bay Lightning. CH
Nikita Kucherov. The Lightning forwards 128 points were the most in the regular season since 1995-96. All eyes will be on the 25-year old, as he seeks to continue the artistry hes portrayed night in and night out in the playoffs, when things generally tighten up on the ice. JK
Boston center Brad Marchand, a 5ft 9in agitator who can beat you with both defense and offense. Marchand has won the Selke Trophy as the best defensive forward four times in seven years, and this year he finished in the top five in scoring, accumulating 100 points for the first time in his career. Marchand centers Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak, considered the best line in hockey. CR
The Boston trio including Brad Marchand (63), Patrice Bergeron (37) and David Pastrnak (88) is considered the best line in hockey. Photograph: Winslow Townson/USA Today Sports
Can anything top the Knights story last season?
What if Barry Trotz, the man who coached the Washington Capitals to a Stanley Cup victory last year, does the same this year with the homeless New York Islanders? CH
Like, probably not, right? I mean, maybe if the Carolina Hurricanes bright back the Storm Surge that they officially put to bed towards the end of the regular season, win the Stanley Cup and then NHL commissioner Gary Bettman presents the Stanley Cup to a Bunch of Jerks, then we might be onto something. JK
Maybe this years Golden Knights. Like last year, there are doubters. But theres still an aura about them and the players seem to respond to coach Gerard Gallant because he creates a positive atmosphere within the team. They also still have Marc-Andre Fleury in goal, and leading scorers like William Karlsson and Jonathon Marchessault are having great years again. The Knights sputtered going down the stretch, going 3-5-2 in their last 10. But is a team that, when it catches fire: watch out. CR
One bold prediction
The Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup and Gary Bettman is forced to present the Cup by playing a game of duck-duck-goose with the entire team, and then doing a running jump off a trampoline and slam-dunking a basketball into it. Bettman still gets mercilessly booed. Somewhere, Don Cherrys head explodes. CH
For just the third time in Stanley Cup playoffs history, well see a goaltender score. Theres data to suggest that teams facing a deficit should be pulling their goalie far earlier, and were starting to see that happen more and more. Goalies are better all-around players than they ever have been, so I wouldnt be surprised to see a goalie look to ice a game late with something that looks like a breakout pass but actually finds its way into the back of the net. Ron Hextall style. JK
The Colorado Avalanche, the lowest-seeded playoff team with 90 points, will knock off the 107-point Calgary Flames in the first round and get all the way to the Western Conference finals. Its kind of crazy to think they could even get past Calgary, who are the only NHL team to have five players with 70 points or more. And Colorado missed one of their scoring stars down the stretch as Mikko Rantanen missed the last eight games with an injury. CR
Eastern Conference final
Washington Capitals over Tampa Bay Lightning, four games to three. CH
Tampa Bay Lightning over Washington Capitals, four games to two. JK
Boston Bruins over Washington Capitals, four games to one. CR
Western Conference final
Calgary Flames over St Louis Blues, four games to two. CH
St Louis Blues over San Jose Sharks, four games to three. JK
Vegas Golden Knights over Winnipeg Jets, four games to two. CR
Stanley Cup final
Washington Capitals over Calgary Flames, four games to two. Only one other team has managed 62 wins in a single season, as the Tampa Bay Lightning did this year: the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings, who, as it happens, also featured a high-powered Russian scorer atop the teams point-getters, followed by a Canadian guy named Steve. But despite their regular season success, the Wings failed to win the Cup in the spring of 96, falling in seven games in the Western Conference finals to the Quebec Nordi er, Colorado Avalanche (who went on to sweep the Florida Panthers to take the Cup). Call me crazy, but history is in danger of repeating itself. Tampa Bay played Washington three times in March. Tampa Bay took the first game, 6-3. They won the second by a 5-4 score, but needed overtime. The third time, on 30 March, they lost 6-3. Three games dont make a trend, but if the East comes down to a contest between the Caps and Lightning, as it did last year, my money is still on Washington. CH
Tampa Bay Lightning over St Louis Blues, four games to two. I predicted the Lightning would win it all before the season began and I see no reason to stray from that prediction now. This juggernaut of a team had the fourth-most points in NHL single season history (128) and their incredible regular-season success feels like its sustainable over the next few months. Whoever they draw in the second round will likely be a bit beaten down after a hard-fought opening series and I dont believe any team in the Western Conference can measure up, talent-wise. Itll be the Eastern Conference finals, likely against hardened and tested sides like Washington or Pittsburgh, that present the sternest challenge, but that should be the teams only real threat. This is a historically good group that is playing a different brand of hockey than the rest of the league right now. JK
Boston Bruins over Vegas Golden Knights, four games to two. Even with Marc-Andre Fleury doing his magic act in goal for Vegas, the Bruins are just too strong offensively, led by their top line of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak. Both scrappy and skilled, Marchand hit 100 points for the first time in his career. But the Bruins have depth beyond the one big line. They had five 20-goalscorers and eight Bruins matched or passed career highs. Once this team gets on a roll, its hard to stop them. After the All-Star break, Boston strung together a 19-game point streak. CR

1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?
he loves his dad!!! they spend the most time together (since ivy and june both work thru the week) so theyve had a lot of time to bond. they both love each other a lot!!!! (even though elias is a peak embarrassing dad who makes terrible jokes all the time)
2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have?
he also loves both his mums very much. he thinks ivy is the coolest out of his parents (hes not wrong) and june is the strict one which is KIND of annoying bc he has ivy and elias wrapped around his little finger so having to actually work to get things he wants kinda sucks :/
basically he loves all his parents even if theyre all embarrassing dorks :/
21. What are your characterâs manners like? What is their type of hero? Whom do they hate?
heâs polite but thats also kind of because he knows that ppl see a little kid going âpeas:)â when he has to say please and their hearts melt. oliver is very much a child who knows how cute he is and if youve ever met a kid like that irl you know theyre a force to be reckoned with and they use it to their advantage every chance they get
40. How is their sense of humor? Do they have one?
you know when kids laugh at stuff they dont understand so theyll seem more mature. yeah thats him
hes also at that age where a lot of things he finds funny dont rlly make much sense to anyone who isnt also a 4 year old
