abt to go to the royal concertgebouw for the second time in a week like the bourgeois i am apparently
#to be fair i hadn't planned to go saturday but my rowing comp was cancelled#and then i saw they were performing tchaikovsky's first piano concerto and mussorgsky's pictures at an exhibition#and it was a couple hours before the performance so they were selling the last tickets for 17.50 to people >30 y/o#FIRST ROW on the balcony for 17.50. those would've cost what nearing a 100 otherwise?#tonight's tickets i bought in advance for 50 tho bc kavakos is doing tschaikovky's first violin concerto#AND their doing tchaikovsky's 5th so you know once in a lifetime experience etc#curry rambles#the piano concerto was fine but pictures at an exhibition was PHENOMENAL btw#they're*

Ive said this before but swear the biggest skill to learn as an adult is how to resist high-pressure sales tactics. You do NOT have to answer questions with anything other than "Sorry I'm not interested." No matter how nice they are or no matter how many follow up questions they ask or even how agitated they get when you stand your ground. Just keep saying I'm not interested. Don't answer their questions. Don't give them an opening to try to push back on your reasons. Be a fucking brick wall of I'm not interested.
