i don't think i will ever understand the confidence of some people to leave comments on fanfictions which are disguised as constructive criticism or thought analysis but it's just so blatantly aggressive and mean and so black and white without even trying to understand or see where the characters are coming from and that maybe, just maybe, they're reflections of humans so they're a bit complicated. it gives off "i'm in a moral high ground" and it's just jarring.
i think people need to learn that there's ways to leave comments, opinions and thoughts and constructive criticism on anything and be nice about it.
#it's not on my fics#but i see it on others so many times#and fine maybe i'm sensitive#but always calling the main characters as 'stupid' or 'dumb' for making human decisions is soooo fucking frustrating#and whenever i read a fic the author has soo clearly written the nuances#like its not as easy as right or wrong#but nooooo#bc character A made a mistake#they need to be fucking crucified and should never be given a chance to better themselves#like obvs that applies to certain things (i.e. cheating)#but when its just something like emotional conflict or insecurities or self deprecration#which led to hurting other ppl emotionally#suddenly all hell breaks lose if they're given a chance at redemption?#OR OR even just a simple 'i dont excuse their actions but i see where they're coming from' would suffice !!!!#but nooo theyre evil and wrong and reader is so fucking stupid for forgivinf and giving a chance !!!#ugh#sorry im just so pressed rn sksksks#its just frustrating to make characters have layers#only for ppl to brush that off completely and just see things as black and white#ramblings

2018 soc6 leggings make me so sad. why fid they change you
#toy txt post#theyre so. ideal#comfy. good size. sit at a comfortable place. plenty of stretch. the prints look nice#new soc6 leggings ate like. wonky stitching. exact same size i ordered before that i still have and still fits is now suddenly too small.#the print still looks fine but like. bit less stretch maybe? the legs are trying so hard to be too short. the waistband wants to roll down#soo bad. makes me fucking insane. they used to be good!!! they used to look good and feel good and i have 3 pair from this era ig#that prove im right that they USED to make a Good Decent Product and NOW they got inexplicably Worse#i say inexplicably. i Assume its something to do with saving money and or maybe the tiiiiiniest improvement in print quality? but like#my 2018 prints are holding up. usually when a character does Bad Things in a narrative (espec if they're not the protagonist) it is Portrayed As Bad so people who enjoy the character Likely Know They Are Bad
& either way harassing people over enjoying a fictional character is just really childish
if you don't like the character, that is perfectly valid. but there's never any reason to characterise everyone who likes said character as Evil, and/or imply they condone the character's negative actions.
also sometimes i look at internet discourse and it's like people want morally grey characters but then turn around when "morally grey" is not always "i have my own rules but i still make all the right choices !!" some of y'all just need to admit you just like good characters that's fine not everyone is into the spice it's ok to like that good protagonist energy
;;;not saying every character i'm referring to fits in that "morally grey" category, some are just evil villains, but even then i'm sorry 90% of ur stories wouldn't exist without them. they drive the plot.

My Mom has been watching the Netflix ATLA so I've seen bits and pieces... It's Bad. Sexist, Poorly Written and the special effects/action have no oomph. My mom is not as critical as I am and as such is too nice to it.
