One of the things I love the most about Sanuso is that they follow the "knight x damsel in distress" trope word for word but the roles change constantly.

If somebody hurts Sanji, Usopp doesn't even have to think twice despite his fears because he will protect him and then tease Sanji like "is my prince alright? <3" as if he just hadn't probably killed a man for him.

And if somebody hurts Usopp, Sanji will go into a state of defense and protectiveness and revenge that nobody can get him out of unless he makes sure it's safe for Usopp and then he will go to Usopp and genuinely ask if he is hurt because the mere possibility of losing him sends him into a spiral of constant anxiety and fright.

The thing is-- They both carry each other princess style at some point and I think it sums up their relationship pretty well.
