I’m answering this mostly with the timeframe when they were still together in mind!

1. Describe their first date.

I would like to say that their first “date” was the entire Gjallarhorn Arc— in which Heimdall and Ylva were tasked by Odin to acquire the said mystic item for him. This monthslong quest nearly killed Heimdall, and in turn made Ylva realize her feelings for him. Heimdall (who was already in love with her even before) sensed this and started giving hints (in the form of teasing, of course) that he felt the same. Ylva did NOT want to acknowledge or think about how she felt about him while working so she was trying to brush it off but failing miserably. Girl was blushing mad hard all the way home! The mission ended with them returning to Asgard with the horn, getting acknowledged by the All-father, and having a long makeout session *whistles and cheers in the background*

8. What do they love most about the other? Why?

Ylva loves that she can be her true, unfiltered self with him (with Heimdall’s powers, she had no choice but to be honest with him tbh). She also loves his humorous insults. “Must be from all those books he’s reading”

Heimdall loves her thoughtfulness. Even when they were just friends, she always prepared a small celebration for his birthday. After missions in different realms, she would sometimes give him a small trinket or a book that she thought he might like.

Justin Bieber is super nice, he seemed genuinely honored and happy to be there. Him and Mitch Marner are sooo cute, Justin was so supportive of him all the time and cheered backstage so much. He's also cool with Crosby apparently, saw them talking a lot. Met Hailey briefly and not surprised, just classic model behavior, glasses on inside, didn't say hi to anybody just a slight smile. It's fine I guess but compared to Justin who was a ray of sunshine seemed kinda odd. Michael Bublé did not 'accidentally' take a huge dose of weed, he was joking about how high he was and laughing about smoking more afterwards. Will Arnett is like a drunk uncle but not drunk. Both nice. Tate McCrae is soo sweet! I felt her because we were only like 5/6 women backstage and she was the only female captain, also with an ex who is an NHL player so already has that "puck bunny" reputation, so her being there was cool to see. Her BF was also backstage, but I don't think the players knew it was her BF haha, a colleague and I noticed at least 15 of the guys walking up to her and chatting it up. Ones I remember that looked flirty are Sway, the Hughes (they talked throughout the whole weekend and they're all around the same age so may have been friendly but you know how men are), Elias Lindholm, Elias Petterson, & Mat Barzal. She obviously talked to a lot of people but these I remember looking more like them trying to get somewhere with her. Her and her BF are so cute though! He was very touchy with her. Saw her talking to Boone Jenner for a while, but he seemed just friendly. He is also her ex's teammate so wonder what that's about.

PLAYERS:

Auston Matthews is actually really charismatic. At one point the whole dressing room went quiet and we heard him singing "Baby" by Justin Bieber. We all cracked up haha. The Hughes brothers had a fight the first day, don't really know about what but Jack walked in upset and Quinn wouldn't even look at him. Both with their frowning RBF. McDavid had the same attitude as Hailey Bieber LOL. He softened up a bit when talking to other players but otherwise he is super cold always. Pasta and Travis Konecny also seemed to lowkey hate each other. Colleague told me Travis doesn't like Pasta at all but can't 100% confirm that as I didn't hear it directly, just an interesting rivalry. The Canucks players were like a group of mean girls, they literally stuck together the entire weekend, even if they were drafted to separate teams. Vincent Trocheck flirted his ASS off with several women, myself included. Found out later he was married. Swayman is truly a nice person, I think he and Boone Jenner were the only ones who said hi to the whole crew and also goodbye. Also saw him and Georgiev have a bro-hug after they lost the game and he said something to him that made him really laugh, it was very cute. The Hughes also seem to not like Suzuki, avoided him all weekend. Cale Makar is like a doll haha he is so awkward all the time and everytime he speaks his face looks like he immediately regrets it.

what are ur headcanons for buck and tommy's nuptials

I've said some of these before but:

Tommy does something small and intimate for the engagement. It's them at home, very sweet and very subdued. He spends weeks planning it with Maddie's help, recruits Eddie for the whole display he does (idk if it's flowers or some other craft, but there's definitely a display). Dozens of electric candles (because fire safety kids!). In my head, he uses the candles to spell out "marry me" (or some variation of that).

They talk about eloping, just getting it over with in a weekend, not because they aren't excited about it, but because they're not 20-year-old kids anymore. They just want to get on with the next phase (settling into marriage, whether that includes kids or just a bunch of dogs, building their house, making sure their advanced directives are in order), and being married is an important part of all of that. Still, their friends are not okay with this. Hen tells them how important her wedding was with her mom in attendance. Maddie reminds them that they can still do something small and intimate AND allow their family to celebrate them. Eddie, the consummate romantic, tells them that they can't skip the wedding because he wants all the romance without the commitment. Bobby and Athena tell them they'll support whatever they decide.

They have a short engagement, just like Bobby and Athena, and decide to get married in the backyard.

There's an argument over best men. First, they both want Eddie. Then, Chim intervenes and they both argue over him. Somehow, things really get switched up and Bobby ends up as Evan's best man while Tommy has Chim. Eddie gets to be the one that marries them. (Eddie might have lost his spot as best man for Evan because he misplaced the rings a few weeks before the wedding, but who's to say 👀)

When asked "who gives these two away", the entire 118 (and Maddie) says "we do". It's fucking emotional.

Jee-Yun is the flower girl and baby Buck (Connor's kid) is the ring bearer.

THE SPEECHES: Chimney definitely mentions Maurice. Bobby's makes everyone cry. Eddie manages to bring the mood back up by roasting both of them. Maddie also tries to give a speech, talking about how happy she is to see her brother so happy and settled, and how much she loves how Tommy has become a part of their forged family, but she can't get the words out.

HenRen find a moment in the midst of the reception to ask Tommy if his intentions are honorable again. He basically is like "look, I have cake. Can I enjoy my cake? You're literally at my wedding reception."

Phillip and Margaret are there, mostly out of a feeling of obligation to invite them, but Evan pays little mind to their attendance. It's the private speeches about love and marriage Athena and Bobby give him that night that mean more.

Evan went full Clipboard™ on the entire process, down to color coordination. Fall wedding, fall colors. (I'm imagining emerald green dress shirts under their tuxes - color scheme actually found here)

As always, Tommy thinks Clipboard Buck is hot, so he just lets him go wild on the whole thing.

GOD this is such a good question they deserve an actual fic about it at some point but i don't know when i'll get there but augh!!!

they are THE butch/femme couple of all time. cissie is in a gorgeous dress (strapless and backless of course, we can't have cassie knowing how to put words into sentences properly on her wedding day); cassie's in a neatly-tailored tux, but she's doing that insanely hot thing where she's got the jacket over a real low cut top and a necklace instead of a button-down under it (turnabout is fair play, cissie).

cassie cries when cissie reads her vows. cissie doesn't, but she does gets so giddy she starts bouncing on her feet instead.

kon also actually cries during the ceremony (they've grown up!!! his friends that he's known his whole life!!!! they're getting married!!! waaaaaa) but vehemently denies this

their first dance is a very elegant waltz that's fairly slow and not too elaborate because they both knew they'd need to factor in the way they'd be so busy staring at each other in awe

donna gives a speech that's overall very sweet and genuine but also does roast cassie for zapping herself with her own lasso once because cissie texted her and she was literally tripping over herself to get her phone out as fast as possible.

cissie gets a little tipsy on champagne at the reception and decides that cassie needs to carry her around for the rest of the night. ten minutes later she's like well okay that was a little silly of me but cassie's like nope i can't hear you i'm not putting you down :]

instead of a Just Married™ car to drive away in, cassie simply sweeps her into her arms and flies them away at the end of the night <3

I had my friend who doesn't know anything about kagepro give me 2-4 characters from the Dan and I would either explain their dynamic or my HC of it (since my theory is you can make a group of any of the members and it'll have a great dynamic potential) and she gave me Takane and Marry (post-str) and that got me thinking so much like,,, they've interacted in the novels as Ene and Marry and they got along really well it was cute so I just imagine post-str Takane trying to introduce Marry to video games a bit? There is No way Marry would like the sorts of games Takane plays, but you know what I think she'd love? Marry would Love animal crossing. YuuOsa and TachiJin come to mind... I LOVE both as platonic relationships, but I just... don't see Osamu or Tachikawa as someone Yuuma or Jin would be attracted to, respectively? And top Yuuma just isn't it for me. (I do actually own a single OsaYuu doujin... because the art was gorgeous and it had post-body-recovery Yuuma with his missing limbs and eye, which I am always down for, lmao.)

Azuma with his kids, especially Miwa/Koarai/Okudera - I just can't imagine him not being incredibly scrupulous about maintaining healthy boundaries with the teenagers under his care, and the alternate character interpretation of "predatory Azuma" that i've seen in a lot of the azumiwa/etc content is... extremely Not For Me.

It's not a huge ship, and basically nonexistent on the eng side of fandom, but Hyrein/Osamu still baffles me. F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?

HMMM this is a really hard one to quantify since there are some fandoms that I tend to return to periodically, and often have like... one primary fixation but several running in the background that can still Activate me periodically. The longest individual fixations tend to be around 1.5-2 years (Transformers, Star Trek, Promare, and MP100 all reached that point) - but there are comfort fandoms that I circle back to repeatedly that have been in my life for decades (Star Trek and Pokemon are a couple of the major ones, and Ar Tonelico is a more recent example that hasn't quite hit a decade yet but shows no signs of going anywhere). And while MOST of my fic/art consumption and creative output is in Watori right now, I still would say I'm in MP100 fandom to some extent - I still buy shimateru/Claw-centric doujins when I see them, a lot of my friends are still active in the fandom, and I've got shimateru WIPs I hope to circle back to eventually. OTOH I don't really see myself returning to writing for Promare and don't currently have any interest in my older Star Trek WIPs, but I still like to rewatch both of them, I have no intention of selling any of the Promare merch that is in every room of my house, and I still love going to the Trek con in Vegas every couple of years and have some future cosplay plans... And you can still absolutely activate those parts of my brain if you talk to me about the Dominion or Kraylio, hahaha. It's very nebulous but I kind of like it this way! I like still feeling connected to my fandoms even after the intense hyperfixation phase has faded.

G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?

I always have one or two Big Fav Ships in any given fandom, but I've always been a multishipper also, so "true" OTPs are a little rarer. I remember Ishihime in Bleach being one of the first non-canon ships I felt pretty strongly about, and disliking Ichihime as a result, but I also liked Ulquihime a lot, so... lmao. The first truly exclusive OTP I can remember might actually be Han'Gerrel/Zaal'Koris from the original Mass Effect trilogy, which was incidentally also the beginning of my shift from primarily-het shipper to primarily-gay shipper hahah.

I think in my mind, something qualifies as an OTP if it's like... the True Ending in my mind, even when I also enjoy other ships. Like- in MP100, Shimazaki and Teru just Are Together, even though I also sometimes enjoy other ships involving them like touishima, shimamine, riteru etc - those other ships just always are "relationship history" or "alternate timeline" in my head, and I never really imagine them long-term in the same way.

Oh gosh! I sadly know a lot less about supernatural creatures than I like, but let's see what I can come up with! I'm trying to more western mythologies just because they're the ones I know the most about. Also if I spent more than a day thinking about these they would probably all change (except for Alice's and Killian's.) and half of them wouldn't be pulled out of my...nose, sorry.

Killian: Selkie. No, wait, hear me out! According to this, 'Male selkies are described as being very handsome in their human form, and having great seductive powers over human women. They typically seek those who are dissatisfied with their lives, such as married women waiting for their fishermen husbands.' And from what I've been able to find, as opposed to being forced into a relationship, they willingly come to a woman seeking them out if they want to.

Regina: I had a thought in my head, but the closest I could come to it in a google search, Onryō, wasn't quite right. (And I don't know enough about Japanese myths to just dive in.) I would think Gorgon for her, very similar with what happened to Medusa. Just cursed because of things that happen to her outside of her control and then using her powers to lash out and destroy at everyone around her even when she doesn't want to. (And then Henry holding up a figurative mirror to her like 'Mom, this is what you're doing, please stop.')

Emma: A Swan Maiden, much for the same reasons why I have Milah as a selkie. (Though very much not my idea and taken from this ask I was sent!)

David: Griffon. Totally. 'Because the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts, and the eagle the king of the birds, by the Middle Ages, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature.'

Snow: A Sphynx. Mostly the Egyptian take, 'seen as benevolent, though with strength as ferocious as that of the Greek version.'

Belle: A sort of dragon! Not a scary one, but one that likes to horde books and knowledge like the treasures they are. And she'd be a small one, kind of unassuming, and people underestimate her until she breathes the flame of witty words at them. (There is also an argument to be made that she could also be a selkie, but that would mean I have three.)

Rumple: Isn't he already sort of a mythological creature? But I guess a Chimera would work well for him. So many parts melded together in a way that shouldn't work but typically does. And I don't know if actual (mythological) Chimeras are at odds with their separate parts, but he often is.

Alice: A unicorn because she is the purest and the bestest and is frikkin magical and I want to protect her at all costs and also she probably likes to spend her afternoons laying under apple trees with her head on Robin's lap and that is so very unicorny.

18. Fandom that you never expected to get into

rings of power!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i admit i was one of the people who went 'ew, jeff bezos get ur hands off my tolkien' but then was won over by the actual show.

i'll admit the show is... not perfect (still not over The Elves Will Take Our Jobs) but on the other hand? it is actually perfect. the casting is chefs kiss, the costumes are amazing, the characters are so lovable, the music is beyond perfect (bear mccreary vs howard shore is just an impossible question AND IF YOU KNOW HOW GOOD HOWARD SHORE IS THEN YOU KNOW WHAT A STRONG STATEMENT THIS IS.)

as a tolkien adaptation, it's better than the PJ movies, because the way it approaches/alters/questions the text is so much deeper (see: the adar/uruk question.) as a tv show, it's like it was made specifically for me. there are more potential blorbos in this show than any piece of media (average show contains 1-2 blorbos factoid actualy just statistical error. rings of power contains 10-12 blorbos, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.)

honorable mention to i was a teenage exocolonist, the game that just knocked me tf out the last few days. i do not really play games????? but i read one review of exocolonist and went oh i gotta play that??? and the next thing i know i've done 4 runs and irrevocably fallen for an alien boy. tragic. shocking. wonderful. can't recommend this game highly enough.

So ive noticed that my stomach isnt as flat as last year. That could be because last year i took my meds more often and spent more time eating once a day. see already this doesn't work. in what society could a woman force another woman to marry her. even if she were the queen. like. apparently this is a universe with arranged marriage and monarchy but not patriarchy? sounds fake but ok we're going with it.

it's vaguely set in the atla world, but like. a different history. the air nomad genocide was still definitely a genocide but in this universe, it got much less close to completely wiping out them out entirely. there are air nomads living around the world, including in the fire nation. and they're definitely, like, marginalized & oppressed in the fire nation, but not at immediate risk of being killed.

one of them is ty lee, of course. another one is aang. he's mordechai in this au.

and haman (booooooo) is ozai i suppose? that doesn't really work wrt to his relationship with azula but let's go with it. like, the thing is, azula is definitely smart but she is able to be manipulated by both ozai (haman (booooo)) and ty lee (esther) so it kind of works?? (not to imply that the way that ty lee manipulates azula is in any way equivalent to the way that ozai maniuplates azula of course).

vashti is mai?? i guess??? sidenote i wonder if anyone has ever written vashti/esther fanfiction. there have been many jews over the course of history it's bound to have happened at some point.

the rest speaks for itself honestlie. azula kicks mai out for not being a doormat. ty lee is chosen to be the new queen bc azula thinks she's really hot but ty lee hides her air nomad identity. aang won't bow to ozai (boooooo) and so ozai (boooooo) decides that genocide is the best option. u know how it is.

ok wait the whole thing with haman (boooooo) getting sort of tricked into honoring mordechai... that works so well for ozai and aang actually. like ozai's pride in assuming he's the one that azula wants to honor + how humiliating he'd find it to honor aang instead. yeas.

ty lee doesn't want to stand up for her people, but aang convinces her <3 she eventually invites azula and ozai to those banquets and reveals her identity and azula is like "omg nooo ur so hot i can't kill u or ur family :((" and so all is saved. l'nevadei ha'avir haya ora v'simcha v'sason v'yikar etc etc etc.

again this whole azula having power over ozai in any way makes no sense but we're going with it okay!!

and We Don't Talk About Chapter Nine . in general but also it would like. ruin the story if it were air nomads doing it lol
