But like...that's it, lmao.

I did enjoy it! I got WAY MORE genuine laughs out of these first two episodes than I did the entire first season. Magnus is hilarious, I love his whole vibe lmao. Fluffy's character, Kris, he's...man is really out here looking for a father figure and it is deffs biting him in the ASS.

The elves are top tier as per the usual! Betty and Noel are continuing to be THE power couple and I am SO HAPPY ABOUT IT, I love them to death 🥰🥰🥰

My fave thing about the season so far is just everyone out here like Scott wtf are you doing. Wtf, man. I yelled GET HIS ASS so many times lol. The official Get His Ass Count as of the end of Episode 2: 8. 8 whole GET HIS ASS moments. BLESS.

SO RIGHT. NITTY GRITTY. OKAY.

Episode 1

Scott sucked SO BAD this episode. He breaks the SOS on a worldwide level then gets upset when Cal is like "I love Riley! I wished her here! We're hanging out! Riley!! :D" and is like "Bro you should've dusted her."

OKAY SCOTT. WHAT ABOUT THE WHOLE WORLD, SCOTT, HMM? ARE WE DUSTING THEM??? HMM??? YEESH.

Scott aside (you know, his usual boomer-esque old guy who refuses to change shtick with BUT WHAT ABOUT FAMILY! And whatnot thing), everything else was. Mid, tbh. But fun! Santa being like "Are you gonna kill him?" With Carol being like "I can take care of Gary" was hilarious.

Betty and Noel, of course, SHINNED. I love them, they are SO CUTE. Cardboard face cutouts??? ICONIC. Nobody is doing it like them!

Now. Cal. aka, Buddy. I am very worried for him. Like, 4 episodes ago he was having ANXIETY about being Santa? And now this? Carol being like "what if he doesn't want it don't force him to follow in your footsteps" like. I AGREE. HE SHOULD GO OFF TO COLLEGE AND LIVE HIS LIFE!!!! I have a lot of thoughts there but it is late and I need to FOCUS because I need to yell about Cupid in a second, ANYWAY

Magnus Antas. I love this guy. I fucks with him. He takes a 700 year nap and is like "I'm fine" until his toxic bestie is like "I WANT TO KILL" and a kid sasses him for not being Santa/being OLD and he's like "Nevermind. I want to kill now too. Time to MURDER." He has VIBES and I like them!! He also seems like he's was over it until Olga was like "but what if" and some kid was mean to him and tbh, I can't even blame him for getting pissy at the kid lol. I'd also turna kid into "a Roblox" if I could (here for Gamer Mad Santa btw. I'd watch him stream on Twitch)

This is verging into Episode 2 territory, lol. May as well get there, then!

EPISODE 2

So, the LORE DROPS. Um. There was a LOT of it? And it seems to contradict itself/not quite equate with itself? If the NP is a utopia for magic, why is it like that? Was Magnus good, or not? Why do ALL the fairy creatures live there, when they come from so many diverse cuktures and backgrounds? That's a lil messed up! What the fuck happened with the gnomes becoming so (what's the phrase) PROMINENT for Santa? Will we get answers for all of these? Based on past season, PROBABLY NOT! BUT I HOPE WE DO! BC IT IS A BIT ALL OVER THE PLACE! AHH!

RIGHTO. SO SANDRA'S MAGIC. Love that for her! Love that they're actually devoting time to showing her interacting with La Befana and learning about herself and the pair of them discussing things!!! MUCH rather watch that than a 5 minute long auto-tuned elf song which is there just for a Santa/Satan joke! I'm excited to see how her whole arc goes--it looks like she's ACTUALLY GETTING ONE.

I wonder why Befana needs her to tell her parents, like, aside from obvious reasons. She was so insistent on Sandra making sure her parents knew she was training with Befana, that I'm wondering if there's something more to it a la "our powers don't work on other legendary figures". Like, was it to keep her mind clear? Is it like a past thing? Bc Witches are "scary" and often "bad" given that Santa calls Befana a "good one"?

That's another thign! Not sure I vibed with THAT whole thing. Both Claus's being like "yeah witches, they are deffs their stereotypes". Like. Idk. It sits. Not gr8 with me. Feels like performative activism, sorta, you know?

Which is also how I feel about the girl power moments, tbh. Like, it's nice to see them--Carol respecting Befana as a self-made woman, sister solidarity, etc. But it feels very performative! It feels very much like they are checking it off a list, you know? They're STILL like "Carol is trying to find a role for Mrs. Claus" and they go for COP? Wildin. Also wildin that the ELFS are COP EQUIVALENTS? Um, since WHEN?! They are funky little guys with jet packs and no regard for authority. Remember when they broke Santa out of jail and bullied the cop at the front desk? Remember that? YEAH.

OKAY SO NOW MY FAVOURITE PART TO TALK ABOUT. CUPID AND THE COUNCIL!

So as a classics major and a lover of the Cupid/Psyche myth (and personal bias from OCs made bc of said myth) I was unimpressed with the Mrs. Cupid convo. FIRST off, her name is PSYCHE so jot that down. SECONDLY. It was ONE ARROW MEANT FOR HER THAT SOMEHOW GOT LODGED INTO CUPID ACCIDENTALLY WHILE SENT ON AN ERRAND BY HIS MOTHER, VENUS, TO TAKE CARE OF (make her fall in love with a horrible monster/something/someone very ugly) PSYCHE BC SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL WORSHIP WAS DROPPING FOR VENUS AND GOING TO PSYCHE.

This resulted in Cupid and Psyche having a very strange romance/marriage in which Psyche's shitty sisters convince her to break Cupid's one rule (which was don't look at me) and he gets injured, HELD HOSTAGE by his mother, and Psyche has to go on a QUEST to free him that involves Venus making her do all sorts of shitty shenanigans, setting the personifications of sadness and despair on her, and trapping her in an eternal sleep. Cupid, afflcited by his own arrow, escapes his mother's house when he hears about this, finds her, and draws the sleep out of her, waking her up and reuniting them.

They then proceed to go to Zeus (not Jupiter despite Cupid being the Roman equivalent of Eros, and Venus roman of Aphrodite? It's interesting) like LOOK WHAT VENUS DID and Zeus goes "Wow, that's a little fucked up, actually. Listen, I'll make her a god and sanction your marriage and tell of your Mom IF you do something a little fucked up for me and help me get ANY woman I want" to which Cupid goes "Sure, that sounds reasonable and not fucked up at all" and then he and Psyche get married and have a fucking rager with the gods and have one kid, Pleasure, aka Hedone/Volupta, or in SOME iterations, THREE kids, Pleasure, Joy, and a third one who's name escapes me (Vanity I think) and presumably live happily ever after! READ FOR YOURSELF!

I am very passionate about this bc uh. this is uh. Dite's whole ass backstory? She is Hedone lmao so I've got some personal attachment here thanks to me own OCs lmao, ANYWAY

So YEAH that got me miffed. As did uh, the whole PEEKABOO and cupid making baby noises back at Riley. The ICK.

But you know what I DID love?? Cupid being like "I'm not spying but also, I am spying and also, the whole ass entire council is like BOI...WHAT THE FUCK". GET HIS ASS! CALL HIM OUT!! BC YEAH, WHAT THE FUCK SCOTT?? SEASON 1?? HELLO??? EVERYTHING BEFORE THAT??? VIOLATING THE SOS BY SHARING ALL THOSE SNOW GLOBES??? AHHHHHHH.

Cupid delivering that 3 month deadline and Council threat I was like. HERE for it. I was like. GET HIS ASS (this was one of the GHA counter moments tbh). Like, this dude is out of control! I think it's high time Scott meets the consequences for his actions! AH!

So YEAH. Excited to see Sandy and for New EB! I hope the whole Council comes back, even if they have to recast, that 5 minute scene would add YEARS to my life that Riley and Cal took away.

Because they are. So icky. I feel as though. There is a scale. And Marie is on one end, and Riley is on the other. This isn't just FIRST LOVE this is just DISGUSTING. Like it was cute at first last season but now Riley is honestly?? Sups annoying. You can tell that they're like, checking items off the list instead of actually putting more thought into them, because Riley is v much a stereotype and they have WAY UPPED her teenager levels. I need them to talk to actual teens. Nobody says OMG like that and also, she's bringing home BIKERS?????????? UM??????? It's like. Why are they so bad at writing love interests? You feel? Tho this could just be a me thing 🤔🤔🤔

They really should've socialized those kids, DAMN. Santa being like "And we all know how that [Romeo and Juliet] went" or whatever the line was had me like "FINALLY SCOTTY BOY. SOMETHING WE CAN AGREE ON!"

AND LAST ON MY LIST. THE SCOTT/SANDRA SCENE.

Finally. Finally. FINALLY. Some good parenting from Scott. FINALLY. Being sups understanding to Sandra? I actually loved it. He finally did ONE (1) GOOD THING. MAYBE HE IS? LEARNING? I DUNNO MAN! WE'LL SEE HOW IT GOES! But yeah, I did like that scene a lot. I'm just really here for Sandra getting her moment!

So YEAH. Overall, season 2 is okay. Gave me more laughs which is WELCOME, and I cannot wait to see how this develops. Especially since the lore was like, really thrown our way, you know? It was a lot for two episodes and again, did kind of contradict itself? Hopefully it clears up once Santa inevitably learns the truth about Mad Santa, probably mostly thanks to Carol who is DOING the MOST.

But yeah, I'm hoping to see the lore tidied/explained a bit better. Especially bc the whole elf lore opening, with the icy tunnels and drab vibes, didn't sit well with me? It...I didn't like it. Not my cup of tea. The lore in general isn't my cup of tea though it's fun to see it there finally, lol. Poor Toots, being named after a fart essentially (I went right to toilet humour, I'm sorry, I am so mature I promise i'm not)

Also, they really kinda. Throw around the head elf title, huh? It felt REALLY WEIRD to not see BMan there, and Toots just being thrown in? Weird it's WEIRD. I wouldn't bring B-Man back for it but MAN IS IT WEIRD. Especially since the new elves, as much as I ADORE THEM, don't have the same kind of like. Old feel to them? As the movie elves did? So I was like "they should NOT be there right now. They should NOT."

Righto. I am going to wrap this up bc I am INSANE and this is very very VERY long for a franchise like this 😅😅😅

You have: two dead boys with AMAZING chemistry (I LOVE their different accents/slangs/outfits to reflect the times they're from), two living girls with AMAZING chemistry (deadass thought Crystal saw the lights around Niko because maybe she liked herrrrr and the lights were psychic related instead of LITERAL SPRITE INFESTATION), two wildly horny demons who I believe need to get it on and leave Crystal and Edwin alone please and thank you (David and the Cat King), TALKING CATS, a witch cosplaying as Cruella de Ville (I thought she was MURDERING her poor bird Monty!!!!), the cutest adorable most precious little astrology nerd I've EVER SEEN (the aforementioned Monty who wasn't a victim of animal abuse after all), a cursed walrus (still salty Edwin interrupted Tragic Mike's story of how he was cursed, I was INVESTED) OH AND A SUPERHOT BUTCHER LADY!!

ANYWAY this show was supposed to be fun. I watch Supernatural and yeah there were scary episodes but I can't think of anything as traumatic as the Devlin House episode! 😭 Just... watching the dad murder his poor family over and over was awful, seeing how affected Charles was broke my heart, the dad having a secret room to spy on his family was creepy and disturbing and OH MY FUCKING GOD?!?! THAT MISERY WRAITH?!?! I ALMOST THREW UP!! I NEARLY DIED!!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL TERRIFYING 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND I NEVER WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN!!!!!

Many... many many... Two of the wips in wip list rn actually, the Soulmate AU (Artwork Etched Onto Scars) and the domestic Fluff one (Rose Tinted Glasses) because I just could not physically get into it!! I find writing Fluff extremely hard for me, so in order to be able to enjoy writing it I need to love the concept, which I don't with either of those wips. However, I am trying to finish them, slowly but surely, so they may see the light of day!

Hehe gladly! The wip I'm most excited for is the Detective AU (50 Ways To Kill A Man) because I read a lot of crime novels (Dick Frances my beloved) so I've got tons of random, murder solving related things in my head that I can pop into this!

It's going to follow Jesper, a detective who's been on the force for nearly ten years, as he attempts to solve an obscure murder curse while Wylan, the new guy, is assigned to the case to shadow Jesper.

While they're solving this case, more murders pop up with similar descriptions but are older deaths that make the two believe that they are possibly dealing with a serial killer or a revenge death.

I won't say much more (cos spoilers) but I'm SO excited to finally let you guys reas this!!

Here's a lil snippet from it, cos yeah.

Jesper slammed the phone down with a triumphant grin.

Across the table from him, Inej raised a curious eyebrow. “What’s got you all excited?” She asked somewhat sceptically, pausing on her report. Leaning back on his chair, Jesper crossed his arms behind his head, grinning. “My darling Inej,” he said, ignoring her eyeroll, “Councillor Hoede is dead!”

Inej frowned, “you shouldn’t be so happy over someone’s death,” she scolded, but Jesper only shook his head. “Okay first of all,” he said with a pointed finger, “Hoede is a piece of shit for whom I have no sympathy for.” Inej's frown didn’t let up, but her mouth twitched upwards ever so slightly, which Jesper took as a win.

“Secondly, nobody knows how he died, so yours truly as been assigned to figure out how the old fecker actually kicked it.”

His words may have been disrespectful, but Jesper couldn’t find it in him to care. None of the members of the Merchant Council ever gave a shit about anyone under their station, and Hoede in particular was notorious for paying his workers less then a liveable wage. Screw him for being more excited about paying his own bills with this murder case.

danny canonically (well, canon enough, it was a remark from the developers) has npd right. and I have hpd and bpd and they share a lot of symptoms, being cluster b personality disorders and all. so I can proudly say

that man has awful identity issues. he spent so long pretending to be other people for praise, attention and safety that he has no idea who "Danny Johnson" is at all. sometimes he isn't even sure he's actually human. he likely dissociates a lot. he only really thought about it a while after he got taken by the entity, seeing there isnt anything to do outside of trials hes likely been in his own mind most of the time.

he may act buddy-buddy with them as a sort of second nature but he's really insecure with himself and so manifests it as hatred for other killers. (it may also be the 'canon' reason ghostface players tend to be very chill with survivors, despite him being a misanthrope. he feels safer with them because he has the cloak of superiority and being a threat with them which he doesnt have with the killers ykyk) after all he's just an average guy with a knife and knowledge on stalking, hes not overly strong without the entity's help, or tall, or supernatural in any way. to him his "backstory" isnt even bad as any of the other killers, to him at least. (it definitely was, man was literally groomed to be a murderer by his dad. but your trauma never looks as bad as the other people's you know)

also hes FTM and was 3 years on T up until he got taken by the entity (his body time kinda paused after that so he didnt revert to being feminine dw). he still has a set of tits and a coochie because in his words "surgery recovery is a waste of time, it will get suspicious if ghostface goes silent for 6 whole months" :3 he's happy with his body though... mostly. anyway thats the reason he's always hunching during trials. cant wear a binder during a chase thatd be inconvenient (please imagine a ghostface coughing and wheezing and begging the survivors to wait for him now. thank you)

he's still silly, a little clumsy but its one of the things he's less insecure about tbh. an all serious ghostface is not fun and not what wes craven would want.

I personally def put Danny on the aro spectrum (i dont think ace personally, aroallo moment imo) though i think more on the demi or greyaro side, and if any of the survivors are ever like, flirty he just stares at them and slowly shakes his head because oh no babygirl one thats a bad idea to try and do and two you are not the person my brain has made an exception for thats for fucking sure

Alsoalsoalso very down for him not being friends with the other killers bc hatred and lowkey jealousy but I think he looks at the legion kids and is like "Cool, I'm your uncle now." because they're the only ones like him at all, just normal dudes even smaller than he is because theyre basically just fucked up teenagers so he feels a slight kinship and he definitely doesn't play favorites at all (this is a lie Suzy is his perfect little baby and he goes full cool uncle mode with her 100% all the time)

Also Also because self shipping noises when/if a survivor or killer (im using survivor mostly bc that's where I see myself self insert wise) does catch his interest in a romantic he genuinely just fucking panics and doesn't know what the fuck to do about it. He fumbles with them a lot and suddenly most of his smooth and cool dude exterior? Gone. Vanished. asdfghjkl okay cool cool so I'll go with two from my favorite og work called Giant Flying Lizard Thing. Laura and Kaixon are long-lost dragon shapeshifter siblings

7. What fictional character do you think most influenced them, or is most like them (intentionally or not)?

Laura is actually pretty original. she's very dry and closed off and at face value her personality is almost apathetic and I've often struggled with her characterization because I haven't encountered many good references in the media I typically consume. I can't think of a character off the top of my head that really inspired her. That being said, the whole story did start out as a parody to the Mark of the Dragonfly book that I read a loooong time ago (10/10 would recommend, though it is geared towards young audiences) which has dragon-shapeshifter adjacents.

Kaixon is on the other end of the scale. He's super jaded, but he runs it through with chaotic humor and unhinged criminal activity. He's got a good heart but like. you know. it's buried under about fifteen layers of trauma, self-hate, pessimism, loneliness, etc. Think Kanan pre-Hera. Kanan wasn't a base for his character, however, which is ironic because the more I think about it the more similarities I can point out. I did make Kaixon before I even knew Kanan existed okay I swear. Kaixon was probably more inspired by guys like Keefe Sencen from KOTLC or Han Solo.

okay here's Laura's: “Step aside, filth.” —Zuko, Episode 1.15, “Bato of the Water Tribe” She's not super creative, but when she does express emotion it's very intense and often violent. This quote is blunt and to the point, and quite possibly the most generous warning she could ever give the scum bag she's about to beat up. Usually she just jumps them (Shane is proud of her for using her words).

This one is for Kaixon: “You sound like my nephew, always thinking you need to do things on your own without anyone’s support. There is nothing wrong with letting the people who love you help you.” —Iroh, Episode 2.08, “The Chase” He's very non-trusting and pushes people away every chance he gets. While it's kind of a thing to be a lone gunslinger in his career as a professional criminal, he has accumulated a few close friends against his better judgement, which he seemed frustratingly unaware of.

17. How healthy are their familial relationships?

HAHAHAHA oh boy

So everything was great at the start of course. Kaixon ("Drayce" at the time. he changed his name when he became a bounty hunter) was Laura's beloved protective older brother and everyone doted on her because she was baby and cute and full of life. then their parents were brutally murdered by slavers and they were separated and they both assumed the other was dead. Eventually Laura was adopted much later by a really nice lil family clan who were very accommodating of her traumatic past and triggers. they help her feel like a person again which is super great we love to see it. She does have a bit of a rivalry with her adoptive cousin Hally but only because Hally is super competitive and Laura totally forgot how to be nice. Kaixon never got adopted lol read: doesn't trust anyone. by the time his parents were killed he was old enough to make it on his own so he never put much effort into finding new people. He does get forcefully adopted by a few of his friends, but they're not super consistent relationships because he forces himself to work alone most of the time. They're trying. it's okay, it'll work out eventually.

21. What is their love language?

Laura expresses love by committing acts of service. This stems a lot from her sense of inadequacy, and growing up in a system of merit where she was rewarded or punished based on the quality of her performance. While she knows in her head that the people who love her would never hold her to the standards she was conditioned with in her formative years, it's knee-jerk instinct at this point. She always wants to prove that she's a valuable asset. On the flip side, she feels love by spending quality time with her family. Her family and the people she values most are what she hoards as a dragon cryptid, so being near them and spending time with them and doing fun things with them and knowing they're safe makes her feel really happy and fulfilled.

Kaixon is also a mix of the two. He won't go out of his way to spend time with people he loves since it's habit for him to isolate himself, but he deeply appreciates surprise visits from his friends (especially that friend if you know what I mean 😉). He uses his actions to show he cares about something or someone. no feat is too small. this boy will go above and beyond to any length necessary to prove his devotion and commitment. He'll do anything. seriously he will do anything <3

32. Rate on a scale of 1 to 10 how likely they are to commit a crime.

Okay this is funny. First of all, I need to establish that the government in this story is hella corrupt so a lot of the actual good things are considered crimes and a lot of the bad things are fully legal (read: active slave trade).

Laura is suuuuper unhinged and has poor impulse control especially when it comes to Shane. She has definitely eaten people for insulting him before. no one touch her precious little sunshine man. Also she's just super opinionated, and because she's not human she has a few physical advantages over most public offenders and is a lot more likely to get away with doing illegal stuff. I'll give her a 6/10.

Kaixon is the most wanted man in the kingdom. Doing crimes is literally his profession. 10/10.

Just a normal housecat I think (plain and unassuming, but ur 100% right about the implications! House at stand up to foes much bigger than themselves, they're loyal, *and* they keep the rats out!)

Second. Hi. Ancha may I please please request that I make this drabble part of the canon? Because you just. You managed to tie in so many things so beautifully, and filled a Ccino pothole I had, and placed all the ideas from my drabbles abd rambles into just such a neat perfect lil piece!!! Augh!!!!! Third!!! Digging into this thang like a nicely roasted chicken because!!! So many perfect moments!!!!

Okay. You got Night spot on. In the beginning he's awkward, using what little improv he's got to survive, then he's a bit more comfy showing the folks around (a space he knows thanks to Ccino) and then later as he gets more vulnerable that she'll breaks a little. I love how he reacts when pinned between Killer and Ccino for the brief moment, trying to keep that hierarchy act between them...

KILLER. I will never stop shouting his name, but he's so well portrayed here! He's sassy and playful and arrogant in all the right ways, abd he goes so far as to *tease* Night several times (which goes unnoticed basically aside from acknowledgement UNTIL he crosses the line, implying something between Night abd Ccino-). And his little "What?!" For the training- because yeah!

Night would naturally want to test his own strength in a controlled environment (ex. Killer, who has potential to be expendable if smth goes wrong (tho Night doesn't want that)), as well as *prove* his strength and capabilities to Killer to lessen chances of betrayal. And, most largely. A) He wants his potential Knight to be supervised by him alone so he doesn't get any outside influences from other combat styles or morals, and B) So he doesn't subject anyone else to Killer's murderous tendencies. Killer can't kill him, but he's certain Killer has no qualms killing others like his guard. He can't have that.

Bro thought he was getting off easy and now he's actually gonna have to train 🙏🫡

And then- AND THEN CCINO-

Gods above, Anchas I think you killed me. His little tonal qualities in how he balances his position w/ his history with Night, how he interacts with him, how... HHH It just makes me get butterflies in my stomach, but they're all mad and furious. I mean this in the best way possible. All positive.

Okay. Okay. One thing at a time-

Ccino feels comfortable with Nightmare. Obviously he would, with what he knows, but it's sweet. The way he sits with him, talks to him, *reaches out to him*. The soft touch to the cheek broke me, because there was a VERY quick shift where Ccino clearly recognized that, maybe Night had been overwhelmed, maybe it had been too much, a lecture might not be the best. He saw that change and immediately moved from the worried nagging (a needed strictness) into comfort and reassurance, because he knew Night was starting to spiral and get afraid again.

And idk man, but Ccino just slowly talking Nightmare through it all, holding him, comforting touches, it just- raughhh I loved it... Night's paranoia spiral was so so good too, because it just felt exactly like how I've been picturing it! He's such a guy who relies on logic, and he logics himself into the worst case scenario.

AND Night's lil flashback with the palm ritual thing. That one hurt so good, it had a perfect placement...

Okay. Okay. Let's see... Dream! And Ccino's role for the twins. I love that he's trapped, that he was forces to be there (and that Night offers him freedom and is so so set on ensuring Ccino be happy even in his state-). The bit in the tags about Ccino ending up as Dream's (metaphorically, literally, etc) hit me so hard because! YEAH. They would do that. Nim would do that. Like a consolation prize. One brother gone, but here's this other one you like, do as you please. Losing my mind- and Dream in an altered state? Who knows where that would've gone???

And then the shift when Night took over, and Ccino *chose* to look after him and help and care. It just. 😭😭😭 the narrative hereeeeee

I love that you have it end with them both there, and the mask case, and Night deciding Ccino deserved a mask... it made my heart hurt so so good 🫶

Ohh this gives me ideas for other stuff now (particularly Night + Killer doing those trainings, and maybe a pre-apple incident interaction between Night, Dream, and Ccino? But who knows-)

Okay lastly other tag things:

-> No no, you got it perfect! I hadn't been mentioning it much, but Ccino is probably the STRONGEST connection + bond Night has. Period. Ccino is the only reason Night survived more than a week after the ritual (he made poor choices w/ the starving himself out of fear or poisons things, and more I think-) and so you are SO correct placing Ccino as Brother Supreme 🙏 (Also Killer getting put in his place by Night immediately felt like a 'I don't care what you say about me, but mess with him and you're dead.' Kinda moment, and I loved it <3 First time Night is genuinely scary to Killz probably-)

-> Nim's hall is 100% gonna be a Cat Space haha! Honestly I could see this very superstitious kingdom noticing an influx of cats around the palace and being helpful around the city, followed by Night's Knights all having cat-masks, and deciding Night's divine symbol is a cat (despite the Owl motif-). I think this'd lead to an influx of bad superstitions about cats, immediately followed by a healthy fear of harming a cat. (A guy who, completely unrelatedly, killed a Cat to spite Nightmare in his own time, was killed by the Knights a few days later because. People in his community were unaware he was a trafficker of people, so they assumed it was the whole cat thing. Rumors spread, abd cats were treated a lot better-) sidetracked- but yeah! Cats everywhere!! Kitties!

Your drabble got me thinking and made me consider something. (also i am so sorry if i got the ages wrong. I really tried)

Nightmare gets off his horse as he stares at the castle.

Well. His castle now.

He is still not quite used to that. Refering to it with his castle instead of his mother's.

Even after almost 12 months. He still doesn't expect to see himself in the mirror. or maybe the problem is that he expects his old self. The young teen.

The weakling. The failure.

No focus.

He isn't that anymore. He now has the magic. He is the new powerful leader of his land. And he will make this work. Even if he still has no idea what he is doing.

No. He needs to get back and make sure no one tried to rebel against him. That no one tried to hurt Ccino while he was gone.

Nightmare gets off the horse and someone rushes over to take the horse. Nightmare stares at this person and figures out quickly it is the stablehand who has been taking care of the horses.

Nightmare looks over his shoulder and motions the new people to follow him. The set of brothers, the dog monster. and Killer.

Nightmare walks into the castle as he speaks "Some of the other servants will take you to your chambers to rest and clean up. Tomorrow the three of you will join some of my other staff to see what is needed and where you fit. Killer. You will-"

"My liege."

Nightmare blinks and looks over.

Ccino has appeared out of one of the servant secret passages and walks straight towards him. Nightmare can see, and feel, when Ccino takes in the new people and just who they are.

Ccino's face turns a bit harder and Nightmare can feel the annoyance and frustration in the air "My liege!" Ccino smiles brightly as he speaks "Have you eben succesfull in finding a possible knight?"

Killer chuckles behind him and mutters "someone is in trouble~"

Nightmare knows Killer is being sarcastic. But if only Killer knew how right he was.

Nightmare however could never be worried or afraid off Ccino. For him? Maybe. But never because of him. He gives a tiny nod. The only amount of respect their places and ranks allow them when others are near "Ccino." He waves into the direction of the new arrivals "These people will join my workers." He looks at the four new arrivals "This. Is Ccino. He is head of the house." a title that will never pass away from him. Not as long as Nightmare is in charge.

Ccino nods "Pleasure." he looks back at Nightmare "My liege. If you have the time. There is a matter we need to discuss."

Oh yeah. Nightmare is very much in trouble.

Nightmare's voice is still calm as he speaks "Very well. I will meet you in my study after i made sure they go to their chambers."

Ccino feels unamused but he nods with a bow before he leaves the hall with a quick turn.

Nightmare turns back to his new... servants? He never quite liked that word but it works. He turns to his servants and feel his tentacles slowly rise from their position on the ground. They slowly start to idle again as he makes sure the new people learn where their rooms are and where to get food.

He brings Killer to a room more seperate from the others. Beyond the guard positions. Just because Nightmare wants to give him a chance and the fact he doesn't fear him is refreshing doesn't make Nightmare forget how dangerous Killer is.

Fuck this was a mistake.

What if Killer hurts people here?

What if he hurts Ccino?

Killer looks around his room before lounging on the bed "So what is the deal with the other skeleton?" he grins and wiggles his eye brows "Little secret going on there?"

Ngihtmare needs a moment as he wonders what Killer could mean. Then it sinks in and Nightmare feels his tentacles all spasm as he shudders "No." the answer is final and harsh. Killer actually looks surprised.

Nightmare holds his sight and speaks slowly "I will only repeat this once and remember this well. I don't like having to repeat myself." he holds Killer's gaze "Ccino is head of the house. He will remain head of the house. Nothing anyone can say or do will change this." he holds his gaze before straightening himself again as he moves towards the door "Tomorrow we will start training."

Kilelr sputters "We?!"

Nightmare stops and shoots him a look "Obviously. How am I to keep track of your skills and promise if i don't oversee the training myself?" and he leaves the room.

He hurries back through th castle towards his study. Sinking in and out of shadows as his mind, body and soul all know where he wishes to go.

He stops by his study and enters it.

Ccino is already in there. Studying the old masks in the special glass casing.

Nightmare closes the door and Ccino turns to him with a glare "What were you thinking?"

Nightmare gets taken back to a year or two prior. When he was still small. When he had cut himself to practise for the ritual. He hadn't been able to sleep and had been nervous about the apple ritual already. He had wanted to practise his part. to perform a blood oath to promise loyalty until death to his twin.

Ccino had caught him with a knife out.

Nightmare blinks back into the here and now as Ccino looks at him expecting with his arms crossed.

Nightmare blinks as he looks to the side for a moment. How is it that even wiht him being taller than Ccino he still feels small compared to him? "They were innocent."

Ccino looks unimpressed as he crosses his arms "Now with less lies."

Nightmare blinks and shoot his traitorous tendrils a look. No doubt they did something to give his little slight lie away. Ccino jsut raises a brow as he taps his foot.

Nightmare speaks again "Most of them were innocent. I didnt want them to get hang for something they did not do."

Ccino hums as he waits "And the murderer?"

Nightmare looks at Ccino "how did you know?"

Ccino sighs but has a small smile on his face. an old fond feeling as ccino looks at him and the tiny part of nightmare that had been stressed relaxes. Ccino just keeps looking slightly amused "There is a reason i told you to get out more. you only hear so many things from people in the castle nightmare. You need to go out to hear everything from everyone. I know who he is because i go to the market sometimes."

nightmare gives aslow nod as he looks away. So Ccino knows that nightmare brought a serial killer home. great.

Ccino sighs and sits on the couch for visitors and Nightmare joins him instead of sitting in his own chair.

Ccino looks at him "Just... tell me what happened. Why did you decide this?"

Ngihtmare looks at his hands. again slightly shocked to see the goop. It never stains anything yet it feels like a reminder. It is dirty. it isn't the holy light the powers promised. it is weird and looks diseased which is fitting for him. someone who betrayed everyone. who betrayed his twin. He may have gone it to protect dream. But even dream doesn't see this.

Where does that leave him?

Ccino's hand rubs his cheek and Nightmare shakes himself out of it. Ccino looks so worried as he rubs his skull "Hey... it is okay... i am not mad at you. I am worried about you. I am sorry if it seemed like i was mad."

Nightmare knows ccino isn't mad at him. Not like that at least. Nightmare can feel that. But he likes that ccino still tells him as much too.

Nightmare sighs as he leans into the gentle hold and touch. Ccino had always been one of the few to hold him. As his and Dream's babysitter it had been his job. But Ccino had always truly cared about them both. The moment that Nightmare could feel emotions he had been shocked by that.

That Ccino held no hatred for him. Not even a little bit. He enver blamed either Nightmare or Dream for his situation.

Nightmare speaks softly "The... kngihts you picked out. they were amazing. They showed much promise and would have made fine warriors."

Ccino hums as he keeps rubbing his skull "But?"

Nightmare sighs "They hated me. Even if with time they would eventually grow loyal and accept their place. They would forever hold resentment towards me for making them come."

Ccino hums and nods "I get it. It were only options Ngihtmare. there will be more people who fit the job."

Nightmare feels another part of him relax. knowing that Ccino still understands him "Killer wasn't afraid."

Ccino hums questioning.

Nightmare speaks slowly "He wasn't afraid. Not of me. Not of his situation. He stood up when near me. He didn't cower and he didn't hide." he sighs as he leans into the hug. He shouldn't need these anymore. He is an adult now and not that awkward young teen anymore. Nightmare shouldn't still count this much on the other "He saw me and didn't hate me. He knew who i was and didn't hate me. It was... new."

Ccino still feels unsure but he holds him still "And that gave you hope? That maybe if soemone didn't start with that hatred they could maybe become truly loyal?"

Ngihtmare shrugs. He isn't quite sure. he didn't think that far ahead. He just didn't want to lose another person who didn't hate him.

Ccino sighs as he keeps rubbing his skull and the back of his neck "I won't say i trust him. Because i don't. And I worry about you. I am scared he will end up hurting you."

Nightmare rolls his eyes as he answers "I have yet to even lose a fight and i had almost no training." all because of his tentacles and his newfoudn power.

Ccino just holds him tighter "There are more ways someone can hurt you Nightmare."

Nightmare feels the fear of before return. THe idea that somoene would kill Ccino. "If... if him being here makes you feel unsafe i will return him to the guards."

Ccino laughs and shakes his skull "Ngihtmare I am fine. I am not scared for me."

Nightmare keeps holding him as he feels himself start to shake. fears he had been trying to ignore and push away return to the front of his mind "Waht if they realise just how important you are? What if they try to hurt you to hurt me? What if they kill you to hurt me? Ccino maybe it is better if you hide." hide... hide away... out of sight out of mind.

Ccino just rubs his neck "It is okay Nightmare. It is okay. They don't know. and even if they have an idea your reputation adn the past of this country will just make them think I am someone who will be used as sacrifice last. That i will be punished last or least."

Nightmare shakes as he keeps holding the one person who remained "What if they hurt you because of me?"

Ccino is so calm and sure "then it would be on them. Not you. You don't want others to hurt me. It wouldn't be your fualt Nightmare and I will never see it as your fault. It is okay."

Ngihtmare still feels unsure. He made it obviously clear to Killer that Ccino is improtant. Killer is smart and Nightmare has no idea what he could be planning.

Another thought enters his mind. Somethign he had found early on in his ruling.

A very very damning piece of paper. a slave contract.

Nightmare speaks softly "I am sorry you are stuck here..."

Ccino shrugs as he keeps rubbing his back "Not your fault."

Nightmare shakes as he holds him "I.... I can undo it... I can give you back your freedom..."

Ccino had been taken from his home. Sold to the castle with a very clear purpose. First to be a babysitter. and later... well... Drema had been planning to be all powerful and go from young teen to adult in just one ritual. There is a reason Ccino's age had been only 6 years older than them.

Ccino had been suposed to be Dream's from the very start.

Ccino hums "A nice thought. Not that i thought about that contract in a long time. It hardly matters nowadays. Not like I can just leave."

Nightmare feels his grip tighten and his tendrils curl around them. He doesn't want to let go of the one person who cared. The one person he could count on to help him. To give a single shit about Nightmare. But... but how long will it take before Ccino starts hating him? If Nightmare keeps him here?

Nightmare holds him close "I... I can get you a horse... I can give you gold..." He will just use some of the treasury. Ccino deserves it. "I can send some guards with you on your way. You could go wherever you want. Back to your family."

Ccino locks both his arms around his skull and hums softly. an old lullaby and Nightmare stops. The amount of memories almost hurt. It was always Ccino who held him on bad nights. Or when he was sad. Or when everyone pushed him aside again.

Ccino speaks sfotly "Nightmare. When I say i can't leave i don't mean i physically can't leave. It means i don't want to. I decided a while ago i want to stay here Nightmare."

Nightmare shakes but refuses to let go "What... what about your family?" Ccino's fmaily have to love him. Ccino is so amazing. There is no way he isn't missed dearly after he was stolen from them.

Ccino sighs sadly "Nightmare... They have been killed a long time ago. The day i was taken the guards made sure i knew there was nothing to return to. even if i ran." Ngihtmare feels himself freeze. why... why had he thought?

Ccino rubs his skull "It hurt a lot but i accepted a long time ago Nightmare. I accepted that you two were my family now... and well... now it is just you. and it is okay. I am okay with that. I will always support you Nightmare." he grins "You may be older now but i like to think i am still the older brother."

Nightmare feels aprt of himself break as he just sinks fully into Ccino's hold "please don't also leave me." it is weak. it is pathetic. He should be stronger than this. He should have been prepared for this.

Ccino just covers his skull wiht his body and holds him "I am not going anywhere Nightmare. I will be by your side. I swear on my soul."

Nightmare relaxes and lets himself enjoy the comfort he should not need this badly. He enjoys it and can't help but let his eyes slide around the room. His sight finds the masks and remembers.

The masks are the highest honour. only shared with those most special.

He thinks something catlike will fit his older brother.

In all honesty, I don't have a ton of detailed backstory for Remus besides the fact he was unhinged and broke many many laws. His back story is actually pretty similar to my canon!Calypso backstory, but the favored child was his twin and they weren't particularly rich, and he did fake his death, but he was older, and it wasn't because he was locked in a basement for petty theft as a 10 yr old. Okay so maybe it's somewhat different.

I'll summarize by saying he was happily a problem child, very smart, and enjoyed chaos. He got into tons of fights for the hell of it, and ended up faking his death for good in highschool (and again later for funsies)

He would end up running away and accidently meeting a younger Janus while Janus was pulling a job. Jan was still new to his recent profession, which was a form of vigilante-ing and careful assassinations. Remus figured out what was happening and obnoxiously followed and pestered Janus the entire time before saving Jan's life towards the end of the job.

Janus never ended up shaking Remus, tho he tried for weeks to lose him, Remus popped up no matter what he did. Eventually, Janus just accepted it and brought Remus home to meet Virgil, who was thoroughly confused. From then on, the three were a weird little mismatched family.

They meet when Remus was about 18, and Janus was 29, and Virgil was 17ish. When A Moment with Potential takes place, it's about 10 years later

Remus' natural skills and grey morals had him catching on quickly and progressing Janus' growing operations. It only took him a few years to become increasingly well known for his brutal yet frighteningly strategic fight style.

Remus is indeed a bit of a cryptic lil shit, just not in the same way as like,,,, Low Battery!Remus, who is an all knowing menace. Here, he's just a menace. He's very intuitive, logical, and observant, he just doesn't care too much unless it benefits his tiny family. he's super hard to read and harder to control, giving him that cryptic vibe, but he doesn't know everything, he's a bit more affectionate, and he is wrong sometimes.

I apparently have a bit of a trademark for writing Remus as mentioned above, like a 'cryptic little shit' but that's only because I have no idea how else to lmao. I'm not really vulgar by nature, and I don't struggle with intrusive thoughts, which makes it harder to pull from my own life (which is exactly what I do with literally everything I write to some capacity) so I took some creative liberties with Remus and just stuck with them. I personally don't mind when fics feature out of character characters, as long as those new/altered traits are consistent and deeply incorporated into the story, which I try my hardest to do. with Remus, apparently it worked out because people adore this guy. I get so blushy and dumb, but people have really liked my Remus characterization, which honestly, dude, just thrills me. It's pretty damn cool, cuz I love him too <3

I'm posting this here (with the last one to show I really did write that) so I don't take like an hour of everyone's time in the comments to just rant about things.

So! Even Alphys admitted she was going to stop you but she didn't, because she felt it was an adventure. Basically, her love of anime saved you. And she tells you that. It's unclear how long this has been going on, I mean, we could argue that, in the light panels puzzle, Mettaton was there to rig the puzzle/spy on you. I mean, Alphys probably hacked into it to make it safe for you, you know? It was programmed to be random. But yeah, Mettaton tries to kill you -- to save humanity, which is honestly a great motive, I feel that, have fun.

But yeah! Undyne, Sans, Alphys, Mettaton -- Papyrus didn't know what would happen, he only thought you'd be captured. Dude's innocent. Doesn't even kill you at all. I mean, he does beat you up, and I doubt that if we saw him in any other context, any character whose motive is to capture your playable character would kind of be a bad guy, you know? I mean, I'm not going to go around town beating people up and locking them in my shed so I can impress people and crap. But it IS a video game so whatever. Ethics are butter.

But yeah -- most characters have had a motive to kill you, like, they WANTED to kill you except you beat them/out-determined them -- or something stopped them from it. But Asgore is the only one who has no motivation whatsoever to kill you. Like, everyone goes in detail about how killing you would BENEFIT them, how it's part of their life goal, their plans, their persona. But Asgore tells you he feels SAD, he's upset that you won't get to pass, he tells you to go live your life, he asks you to go prepare. Asgore is the only character whose motive is to help you, and whose agenda ISN'T like, all strung around killing you. His only reason is that the day his two children died, he yelled "this is war," and people took that seriously. I mean, maybe it was like, metaphorical? Maybe he didn't even think they'd actually want to kill all humans? Maybe it was more in a "darnit they killed our kids I hate them" way? But SERIOUSLY -- we know the only reason Asgore is doing this is because he wants to be there for his people. We know that he's only agreeeing because it makes his people happy. We see monsters as sweet people, which they are at some point, but also -- these people are the same dudes who keeps going on about "hey, have you heard? we're gonna kill another human and get out, sick". How many times do they talk so nonchalantly about killing humans who fall down? Like, it's been established that killing random kids to get to freedom isn't ethical. Toriel says it, everyone eventually tells you that, even freaking ASGORE keeps showing he believes it sucks, too. Yet the only reason it keeps happening is because, just like Undyne, the people of the underground are GLAD it happens. They WANT to get to the surface. And yeah, humans sucked, they hurt an entire kind of people just for some crap reason, they slaughtered them until they could only surrender, then they freaking SEALED THEM UNDERGROUND and left them there to die???? Like seriously????

And the game tells us that, and obviously you feel terrible. You're a human, you have to make things right. You can't leave them underground, you can't just do that. You feel part of those guys who hurt them. You're a human, you're the bad guy, you're their enemy, you hurt them. They're freaking justified, you say. Honestly, who doesn't want revenge? Who doesn't want freedom? Who doesn't want out of that situation?

Okay so edit: Asgore said that "every human who comes here must die". Textually, right? He did say that? Okay, so yeah, scratch that other thing. No reason. But he's still been the only character to not want to do that like, immediately after saying it. Everyone else had CONTINUED. Everyone else doesn't have that excuse that they're honor-bound to keep their promise to the people. That's only ASGORE. Yet you have Undyne CHOOSING to kill, you have a place where it's so mainstream that people like Papyrus can think that getting a place in the guard will make you COOL, you have kids talking about freaking UNDYNE in school. Like, can you believe if Toriel was here, they wouldn't even talk about that? Have you seen how she reacted, how horrified she was? She ran away for crap's sake, she even fought you to keep you safe, she came back to you and confronted Asgore. I don't think she would ever have worshipped the Guard like everyone does. But yeah, that's the thing. It's kind of part of the moral of the game how, when you do something for a long time, you lose your morals a bit. You become desensitized to what happens; Flowey explains how resetting made him bored of the world, and it's the same phenomenon that made the killing easy. So maybe after so much time talking about what the guard did, the underground started to normalize it, until there were no Toriels left to say, hey wait, these are kids, these are people, we can't murder them.

So yeah. And nobody really opposes it, except Asgore. Undyne fights you to save her people, just like Asgore. And maybe everyone does want to do that. Maybe that's just it, maybe it's kind of justified that they kill people who pass down? Right?

So yeah. We're left with that big moral dilemma at the end, becahsd we can't prove either point without disproving rhe moral of the game. Killing random kids is wrong, but the monsters are justified in killing them. So is it good or not? You're the bad guy since you're a human, but you're also just a random kid who fell down. Feel bad for what humans did, but also you shouldn't be killed, but also you should.

I mean, eventually, we can just say, yeah, Flowey's bad. Chara's bad. Whatever, you know? The few antagonists we see that you can't really befriend are the only ones we portray as evil. Everyone has a reason -- Flowey's bored to an extreme, Chara hates humans, we know and we support, they're all wonderfully crafted antagonists we're almost happy to see at this point. I mean, see how sympathetic we sjow them in comics or art? Flowey is grumpy and kind of a sarcastic, annoyed lil thing, who yells threats and might kill you sometimes, but overall he's fine. Chara's almost not scary after all those AUs where they're this killer whose violence is mostly used for dark humour or just comedy, they have a knife and threaten you but it's mostly dumb, and they like chocolate and screw around with Flowey. And whenever they're threatening, they'll be against Sans, or Frisk, to show the duality between them. And yeah, I guess it's just that there are no easy answers in this game so we make up our own. There's a reason things are called dilemmas, it's because they're hard to choose from.

Moving into the city of ___ , you were excited to be near more of your family , making new friends, the town was a sight to see as well. Your home was beautiful and not too far from this cafe your relatives had told you about before you moved here you honestly just wanted to try out the food maybe make a few friends as stated before that was one of your goals . You wasted no time in unpacking, not properly setting things up, but unpacking before heading out to the themed cafe you were told so much about, you bundled up nicley grabbing your much needed pre winter outer wear then dashing towards the door and out into the cold bitten streets of your new hometown.

There was so much to see as you looked all around admiring the town house buildings, greeting everyone else who graced the side walks as well, you stuffed your hands deep into your pockets nothing but quietness around you since you were focused on remembering the directions that were instructed to you on how to get to the cafe, you were so focused that as you stared down at your shiney brown combat boots you didn't notice that the sharp corner you turned was occupied with people, you let out a quiet umph from the impact of a clear body part. You Shook your head shortly shutting yours before opening them and being met with a group of boys, five to be exact and neither looked happy, one had Charcoal black hair, another with orange, there was one with Dark Brown, followed by a pink haired fellow, the last one was a blonde who looked the nicest out of them all.

You gulped the words were caught in your throat your eyes were glewed to the boy towering skigg over you in front if you. The charcoal haired didn't look happy that you came in contact with his back.

"I believe the proper way to ask someone to move is by saying excuse me, not bumping into them." A sarcastic smirk Graced his lips.

You scrunched your brows together . "That was an accident , I'm sorry, but maybe you shouldn't just crowd the sidewalk with your friends, Mr. uhh " you looked for any sort of identification , there low and behold it was attached to his Jacket , "Jeno." You shrugged.

The boys behind him ooh'd at your boldness, yoy weren't the type to take bull from anyone and These guys were not going to be any different. The evident pissed off Expression that the male now identified as Jeno, was murderous.

"Amazed at your flip tongue and your obvious oblivious mind, you clearly don't know who you're talking to." He spoke through gritted teeth as he stepped closer invading more of your space.

"I do actually, it's a guy who doesn't know his own name otherwise it wouldn't be sewed to your jacket." You smuggly spoke your tone was innocent as can be, though.

You could feel a dangerous tension building between you two. His glare was beyond cold and yours matched his. Soon before it could escalate two of the others stepped in front of him. It was the Cotton candy pink haired guy along with the blonde.

"Now hold on you think you can just talk to him any sort of way?"

"Shut it Chenle, I think that's enough Jeno she's not even worth a second of your energy."

You scoffed amused at his attempt to defuse the situation. "And you are?"

The boy wore an arrogant smirk "Jaemin."

"C'mon let's go nobody wants to stand here all day leave the dull nube alone, we'll catch her a different day." The tanned skinned boy said.

"What Haechan Said." Jaemin agreed.

You crossed your arms letting out a heavy sigh already over this entire ordeal. "Look I'm just trying to get to a cafe."

"Are you now?" Jeno sneared sarcastically.

"Yeah she is now let her through."

Your mouth open but soon closed as an unidentified male spoke up and you had no idea where his voice came from. You looked confused as you peaked over the taller male's shoulders trying to see who said that.

"Mark why the hell did you have to ruin the fun?" Chenle whined, so the guy's name was Mark? Apparently and soon his silhouette appeared, he was a bit shorter than the rest, behind him was a more innocent looking young man, all together making seven boys present.

"Move out of her face." An strawberry blond haired boy said before pushing Jeno back away from you with slight force, "and watch your mouth Chenle." Mark added.

The three boys who were once surrounding you moved back, so these guys could put them in their places? Interesting.

"Mark she-"

"I don't care, girls are never a target." He dismissed Jeno quickly. The Boy you clearly knew as Mark now didn't break eye contact with you though his statement was directed to Jeno. He wore black windbreaker hoodie over an all black turtle neck, black dress pants, and slighlty beat up Black and white vans, his Raven hair brought the entire look together along with his sharp yet handsome facial structure. He was expressionless, being honest he looked the most intimidating as of now , he clearly knew these boys.

"Who are you?" You asked observing the blank faced male who you felt was staring into your soul he took a moment before replying.

"I'm Mark Lee." He simply answered. You nodded slowly.

"I'm guessing this is your possy?" You proclaimed gesturing to the six boys behind him. He looked back at them before looking back to you with a small side ways smirk.

"Something like that."

"I'm Renjun, actually." The Strawberry blonde corrected you just gave him a slight nod before turning your attention back to Mark.

"So what're you like the bad boys in town?" With each question your face grew more amused with the responds you got.

Mark contemplated. "You could say that." Mark's eyes deepened into yours though you didn't think they could, you barely broke the contact yourself. He stepped closer to you making you revision the personal space invasion that Jeno had previously issued you.

"But I'm the worst." His voice was low enough for only you to hear. You wanted challenge his statement.

"How so?"

Mark rolled his eyes annoyed by all the questions. "Look I just did you a favor by stopping my friends from harassing you so do me a favor and stop asking questions, yes?" He sassily replied, you were taken aback by his sudden snap.

You simply held your hands up in surrender. "okay I'll be going then." Mark simply moved Aside and gestured for you to step past.

"Move Aside boys." Renjun spoke pushing the others back who mumbled disappointed that their fun was ruined.

"Thank you, Mark." You said softly in which Mark gave a temporary smile.

You soon began walk through the small sea of boys you could feel their Fury gazes on you but you didn't care.

"Wait a sec, what's your name?" Mark suddenly spoke, you turned around swiftly, "Y/n." You replied.

Mark Looked as if he was contemplating something but no one knew what and after a few moments he looked at you.

"Well Y/n, to assure you that no one else will bother you on your walk, how 'bout I walk you the rest of the way." He insisted. After his proposal was Heard a chorus of childish whines and groans were heard from the others except Renjun who Smirked.

You were speechless at his sudden suggestion but then you thought about it, you did say you wanted to make friends so maybe he could be one, bad boy and all.

"I don't see why not." You shrugged smiling before turning back to begin walking again. As you walked you heard a series of agitated comments.

"Mark You can't be serious!"

"You're leaving us for her?"

"What you've taken a liking to this nube?"

"That's enough, Renjun, take them back to the dorms." Mark spoke making the boys more whiney. You laughed to yourself quietly. Soon Mark caught up to you. You looked over at him.

"What made you change your mind?"

Mark cleared his throat rolling his shoulders back a bit. "Well it's like My friends said, I may have taking a liking to you, consider yourself lucky."

You cackled at his statement. "Oh yeah, I'm so lucky to be chosen by the mysterious Raven haired bad boy, Mark Lee. He's taken a liking to me after what? Fifteen- Twenty minutes." You snarkily replied.

Mark looked at you nonchalantly as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Yes exactly." He confirmed as if you were serious though clearly sarcastic.

"Oh.." Was all you said.

"As a matter of fact this can count as our first date, I'll go in with you and buy us some cocoa or something." He declared.

"Don't I get say in this?" You laughed.

Mark sighed defeated. "Fine, would you like this to be our first date?" His tone a bit rude.

"No." You quickly answered barely letting him get his words through. Mark's lips formed an O shape it look like he didn't know how to take the rejection, or what he thought was rejection.

"I'd count this as us getting to know each other as friends and that'll determine if we'll ever have a first date. Deal?"

Mark Playfully glared. "I don't do negotiations, it's really my way or no way."

"Well not this time Mr. Lee."

Mark was clearly Reluctant to agree and it took a good minute before he nodded. "Alright but don't expect me to ever agree to your terms again in future."

"Right because that'd take away your bad boy aura." You chuckled.

Once again Mark looked as if was the most obvious thing in the world. "Yea exactly."

You instantly stopped laughing, yeah this would be an interesting Friendship that may or may not develope into a relationship in the future.
