Rereading the beginning of the Eunyung's Home arc right now and yeah...when Eunyung's mom tells him "why don't you just apologize? Why do you bring up the school play event again after so many years?" it really connects with what Eunyung says to Haejoon in ch201, huh. That it would be so nice if he was nice like Haejoon and could accept everything and not be so hung up on things like that. Maybe if he was like Haejoon his relationship with his mother could be better?(I don't think so. but Eunyung maybe does).
But in parallel we also see how this aspect of Eunyung, being hung up on things and staying angry can also be helpful. It's because Eunyung is like that that he doesn't let Haejoon apologize to his mom when he shouldn't have to. It's because he is like that that he makes Haejoon have a medical diagnosis after his homeroom teacher hit him. It's because he is like that the bullying situation in the Marie arc could be resolved as well. As Haejoon says, it's also thanks to Eunyung that he could sort out things with his uncle and receive more allowance. This side of Eunyung that every adults around him try to make him suppress is good and healthy. It's this anger that causes change. It makes things harder for him and it causes more ruckus, sure, but Haejoon's acceptance in these moments is hurtful as well, it doesn't resolve the issue at hand, it just makes him carry all the burden. Haejoon grew up wanting to cause the less problems and worries possible to his mom (and now his uncle) and avoids confrontations with adults as a result (also a direct consequence of when he lost his mother probably), while Eunyung grew up fantasizing about his parents receiving punishments for all their abuse. The consequences were so bad to him when he tried it's the one thing he gave up on though, so it's no surprise he lashes out whenever else he can.
When you think about it it's also connected to their level of trust in adults. Haejoon relatively trusts adults. If you take the New Dorm arc, Haejoon was planning to tell other adults about the situation there, before Eunyung told him not to (pretty violently lol) because he can't trust adults to deal with it or believe them. So Eunyung uses his own way to deal with it and it works! But Haejoon trusts adults to deal with other adults and yeah. That's how it should be and go. But Eunyung presents the "but" of this. That's how it should be, but in some cases it doesn't work because adults are douchebags, and for Eunyung it's the majority of them. Haejoon grew up with a good(even if not perfect) mom getting angry for him so he knows good adults exist. He also was moved by Juwan's mom's kindness as well(even if that makes him embarassed too). Eunyung doesn't, though, so he has to rely on himself and get angry for himself, because otherwise who will?
Writing all this I'm like....yeah No Home is all about balance. Haejoon and Eunyung searching for the right amount of distance and closeness in their relationship. Searching for the balance in their distrust of adults too. Eunyung can't trust adults for very understandable reasons, but the arc with Haejoon's uncle shows us that adults are simply struggling sometimes and trying their best, even if they're clumsy. It's true Haejoon's uncle was drinking, but he's not an irredeemable piece of shit like his father either. But it was a situation where Haejoon couldn't rely on any adults either, after all his uncle is basically his only family left. And that's why Eunyung's point of view was so helpful.
Idk man I just love the hundreds of layers in this manhwa so much. Like it's not just "the best is not to be extreme <3 not too much not too little" it's "sometimes you have no choice but to be too much. Sometimes it's destructive, though. But sometimes it's the only solution. And /sometimes/ you need a bit of the two. Sometimes both solutions work equally well. Sometimes the consequences are bad and sometimes everything ends well" like yeah life really be complicated and unpredictable like that. There isn't one guide to follow and that will work no matter what, you constantly have to adapt to the situations and people around you. Something something Eunyung and his father but if I don't end this post now I never will.
#no home manhwa#txt#ch201 gave me severe no home brainrot im afraid#please read no home if you havent!! i say this every day i know but it's really .so good#i can't put it into words#but it changes your brain chemistry#Wanan the god of storytelling fr#I swear I didn't plan to write so much but I kept having new ideas and new things to say...#So scared to post this in the wild. Au where tim wasnt a part of the batfam and he was never interested in them. Instead he was just interested in fame, so he becomes someone famous through HIS connections. Idk he could be a triple threat, singer, actor, dancer and everyone in the batfam becomes obsessed with him, collecting his merch etc. His parents dont die and one day tim goes to visit them and accidentally knocks on the wayne's house instead and thats when they all figure out they're neighbors.
😭😭😭 bruce would be one of those parents who doesn't understand his kid's obsessions with an actor, singer, etc and just pays for the band shirts, vip movie tickets, and concert tickets. he's the one who answers the door and tim stares at him all confused and with his luggage and the taxi Is already pulling away and tim's like "are you...my mom's new boyfriend?"
bruce is like ???? no????
and then tim's like.....are you my...dad's new boyfriend...?
and bruce is like this is MY house???
like tim realizes oopsie wrong address because his parents bought a new house to get away from the city because tim would always cause a ruckus when he came back to visit them (and isn't that some weird karmic justice that now his parents sat around home and waited for him to call and visit).
bruce being the only one home offers to give tim a ride because it looks like his car is gone and it's only after tim had gotten out and bruce is driving back that he realizes that he recognized tim from the posters hanging in dick's room.
at dinner he's like 'oh that boy you like stopped by' to the table. and of course they're confused and asking what boy and bruce just says 'that boy you like the one whose cds and posters you have in your room'
cue freak out and them rewarching the footage to realize like a real genuine bona-fide celebrity lives near door and yeah they knew tim was from gotham because it was, at first, a source of hometown pride that someone from gotham that was born and raised made it big.
and bruce is like ???? superman is the most famous person on EARTH and he's basically your uncle????
just bruce being confused at all this 😭😭😭

steddie dragons? hmm? 👀👀
let there be dragons, i say!
here is the basic backstory:
Steve's mom was the princess in a matriarchal country and married the bordering country's second prince and they had steve, who upon being born, has a prophecy told about him: he will be the one to unite the two countries - well, him and his dragon. Dragons are said to be extinct, but one hatches the same day steve is born, yada yada
Steve's dad (beloathed) learns the truth about dragons not being extinct and takes Steve in the middle of the night back to his country and Steve grows up surrounded by the effects war has on his nation, thinking that the neighboring nation's soldiers are the aggressors when they're really just trying to get their prince back
the real story starts with Steve, who has been training his entire life to one day kill the mighty dragon that is said to be attacking his nation's troops - his dad said there was a prophecy about him and this dragon, that he'd be the one to slay it.
something something *big fight* something something the dragon takes steve and they crash land onto eddie and wayne's farm!
snippet under the cut because this is getting long! also slight blood cw
Wayne asks, “What was all that ruckus about? One of the cows get out?” and then he looks up from his book. “You found a friend,” he says, unimpressed, as he sets the book down and stands up.
“I don't know what i found,” Eddie manages to say, out of breath from carrying this guy - he's denser than he looks and with the armor, he weighs more than Eddie originally thought.
“Bring him into my bedroom, then.” Wayne sighs and gets up.
Eddie brings him into the bedroom and lets his uncle put down a tarp on the bed so the blood doesn't ruin his sheets. He sets the guy, the boy really, down on the bed and asks anxiously, “Does he look like he’ll be okay? There’s, uh, there’s also something else out there that we need to deal with.”
Wayne looks at him alarmed. “What kind of something? What did this boy get into? Was his horse hurt too or something?”
Eddie sputters, “Uh, uh. Not a horse. Definitely not a horse. Worry about that in a second. I don't want him bleeding to death in our house, please.”
But Wayne is already assessing the damage, pouring alcohol onto the wound to see how deep it is.
#asks#this one would have A Lot of world building that i'm not quite ready to tackle so it's not something i expect to have finished for a while#this was one of my ideas for the big bang but the size and scope of what i wanted to cover kept growing and growing#and i knew i wouldn't have enough time to finish it all and do it justice#steddie#wip game#thanks for the ask 💕💕💕

Politics. I'm mostly posting this because I organize my thoughts better if I think someone else is gonna read them.
Several things have happened at once. Kamala Harris becoming the Democrat nominee is absolutely a gamble, it's a huge gamble. It is a ABSOLUTELY UNHEARD OF gamble in terms of American politics.
But it might work. This worry, I'm feeling isn't because I don't think Kamala is a decent candidate (she's... fine? I guess??), it's because my knee jerk reaction is racist white america and the misogynoir vote will note go to her.
But it wasn't going to go to Biden either.
You feel me?
The Black men who want to be white, the Clarence Thomas's and Uncle Ruckus's of the world, were never going to vote Biden.
The white male vote that were hardcore Trump supporters.
Were never going to go to Biden, no matter how much he toed the line.
The hardcore republican white women vote - was never going to go to Biden.
That's all moot.
The Black vote was teetering, the young vote was teetering, there were 1000s of people sitting on the fence and saying they weren't gonna vote because the face of a genocide is hard as fuck to overlook but we were trying.
And now we have Kamala.
To be perfectly frank, I don't care about Kamala so long as she's not Trump. To me, she's more palatable than Biden but I don't really know much about her. I know she's passed and lobbied for a bill to stop the legal killing of Trans people under "panic laws", I know she's a nasty track record with sex workers (I think she'll have more important stuff to worry about and frankly it's got nothing on project 2025. Regardless, the Texas clusterfuck of a ban might change her mind on the program's efficacy), but other than that she's a fairly blank slate. I'm voting for her with the same sureness I was going to vote for Biden. I'm voting not project 2025. I think a lot of the base that was going to vote Biden regardless of the genocide is going to feel the same way.
We're basically a sure bet.
She will not win the majority of the white male vote. She's unlikely to sway Trump's fanbase, but truly who could? How do you fight a false god??
But I don't think that is what this move was designed to do.
I think they're aiming for everyone else. And now that ... is an absolutely fascinating fucking gamble. (And yes, my life is on the line here, but like I gotta respect the artistry) For the first time ever, the white male vote is not the center of the conversation. It fucking can't be! Kamala is not going to win them over with an appeal to femininity or placate them with concessions. Her very existence is too problematic for that to work (she can try but it's not going to work and I think a Black woman lawyer [they make up only 2% of the field]knows she will never be a part of the good old boys).
They've essentially cut them off and called it a loss.
For the first time in this election I'm actually excited to see what happens. Because this might actually work.
And BONUS it is fucking destabilizing as shit. Trump's assassination attempt who?? The story knocked that shit into last year, holy shit. You look up Trump on google and the first 3 news articles are this.

Basically, Veronica listing down when she learned she can see ghosts, denying that fact and finally accepting it.
Anne Boleyn and K Howard make an appearance.
~~~~
Veronica tapped her pen on the table, trying to drown out the noise Kurt and Ram are making by messing with her shelves while JD and Heather Chandler stop them.
She's been able to see ghosts for as long as she can remember, and she's been in denial of that fact until Heather. So she decided to finally pinpoint it all. She's written every key moment down as if it's a "5 + 1" fanfiction.
Contrary to how people depict ghosts, Veronica knows that they can in fact, touch things.
The ruckus in her room is a good example.
And Ram tossing her hat to her face.
Anyway-
It started at age 4, when her and her parents Nicolas and Evangeline Sawyer (my au obvs) were returning home from a vacation in France.
They were in the air at one point then the plane started to shake. Then it crashed.
Veronica opened her eyes to see herself standing in the hallway of a hospital, she can tell by the nurse talking to her grandfather Samuel Sawyer and uncle Edmond O'Reilly, her mom's older brother. She called out to them. "Grandpa! Uncle Eddie!"
No response.
She called them again. "Grandpa? Uncle?"
Once again, no response.
She's wondering why they're ignoring her. Then, someone tapped her shoulder. She turned around to see an old woman, who looks like she's in her seventies with gray her and blue eyes. "Hello there." She said in a soft tone as she kneeled down so she could be at Veronica's eye level. "What's your name?"
"Veronica Sawyer." She answered.
"Hello Veronica. I'm Tatiana Roberts." Said Tatiana. "What are you doing? And why do you look upset?" Although, she has her guesses.
"My grandpa and uncle are ignoring me." Veronica answered in a said voice.
Tatiana gaze softens even more, knowing well that this child is in a coma, and is currently a coma ghost. She doesn't want to let her know that, nor the fact that Tatiana herself is already an actual ghost who died during surgery. "Hey, there's a park here in the hospital. Do you want to hang out with me and my friends for a little while?"
Being four, of course she agreed. "Okay! But what about my grandpa and uncle?"
"I'm sure they'll talk to you soon." Said Tatiana. "Come on."
Tatiana learned that it was good that she did that when she did, otherwise Veronica would have heard the nurse tell her family members that her parents were awake and she was still unconscious.
Later at the park, she meets two other people. A married couple (who died a few minutes after arriving to the hospital after a car crash) who looked like they were in their early thirties. Hector Kane, a man with brown hair with some blue tips and brown eyes, and his wife Claudine Kane, a woman with blonde hair and green eyes.
"How did you two fall in love?" Asked Veronica.
Hectore chuckled. "Why do you want to know?"
"Because my mom told me that people fall in love differently. I want to know how you and Miss Claudine did!"
The couple laughed at the child's curiosity. "She's a little girl, I'm sure she'd like a story." Said Tatiana.
"Okay okay." Said Claudine. "We met in high school. But we weren't classmates. He was my big sister's classmate and is part of her friend group."
"We didn't talk much at the time but then we became teammates in the chess varsity team." Said Hector.
"What's a varsity team?"
"For schools, it's a team of people that can play sports."
"But isn't chess a board game?"
Claudine chuckled. "Well yes, but many consider it a sport too."
"Cool. So you fell in love because you were teammates?" Asked Veronica. The couple nodded. "That's awesome!"
"Yeah, Claudine is super good at chess." Said Hector as he grinned at his wife. "We would always compete against each other during training. She would always do think little thing with her hand whenever she won against me. And then I fell in love with her."
"Sap." Said Claudine.
Then, Veronica saw her hand blur. "Why is my hand blurry?"
Tatiana, Hector and Claudine see it too. They've been in this hospital long enough to know what this means...
Veronica is about to wake up.
"Your hand isn't blurry." Said Tatiana. "Maybe you're just sleepy."
"Yeah, go to sleep for a little okay? Maybe you'll see your mom and dad when you wake up." Said Claudine.
"Okay..."
Veronica did fall asleep after a while and when she woke up, her grandfather and uncle were at her bedside and her parents were in two beds near hers. She looks around to look for Tatiana, Hector and Claudine. They're nowhere to be found.
Until she sees them later that night.
"That's where it started." Muttered Veronica as she finished writing that down. She chuckles as realizes that her seeing them after waking up explains the shocked expression on their faces when she waved to them that night.
She then wrote down the next one.
After that, she knew she's always seen more people in the house but she didn't think much of it and usually ignored them. However, when she was six years old, that's when she finally acknowledged those presences.
She was in the dining room reading a fairy tale, alone, everyone is either in the living room or upstairs.
"Ow." She heard someone mutter.
She looked up to see a man on the other end of the table who looks like he's in his late twenties, and looks a lot like her dad with his facial features and light brown hair. Only difference is the eye color.
"Excuse me sir? Are you okay?" Veronica asked.
His head whipped towards her. "Wha- yeah I'm fine...can you..?" He sits pulls a seat and sits down. "Can you see me?"
Veronica nods, confused on why he's asking this.
"Oh...okay."
"I'm Veronica. What's your name?" She asks.
"I-I know your name, we uh...live in the same house. I'm Louis. Louis Saywer."
"Saywer? Cool, are we related?" Asked Veronica.
Louis nods. "Yeah actually..."
"How come my mom and dad don't talk to you?"
"Uh..." He nervously tugs at his sleeve, how was he supposed to explain that he's her father's older brother who died after someone broke in the house because he was the one in here when she was born and they still haven't found his body to a six year old? "They are too busy sometimes, so we don't always talk."
"Oh. So you do talk to them?"
He chokes out an answer. "Yeah..."
Veronica nodded. "Okay. Since we're related, can I call you uncle then?"
Louis relaxed and nodded. He knows that one day he'll have to explain this to Veronica, but not now.
He didn't have the heart to tell her.
"PUT THAT DOWN!" Heather yelled.
Kurt, holding up Veronica's sweater and swinging it like a banshee, laughs and answers "NOPE!"
"BITCH!" Yelled JD.
"Says the murderer." Ram retorted, who's also doing the same thing with another sweater.
Veronica sighs at the behavior of the four as she writes down the next one...when she realized she sees ghosts and tried to deny it.
Age 8, that's when Veronica realized, when she saw a picture of her dad and her uncle Louis and her dad explains he's dead.
"Ronnie..." Louis tried to get her to calm down.
Veronica didn't calm down.
"But...But I can see you! How are you dead?"
Louis sighed. "Veronica...I'm a ghost."
Veronica freezes as her eyes widen in shock.
He continued. "The other people you see here, they're also dead. It's why your parents don't talk to us, they can't see us. But for some reason, you can."
Veronica shook her head. "No...no you guys are probably just my imagination. Imaginary friends."
"V-" Louis cut himself off, he knew Veronica was stubborn, so he just stopped. "Believe what you want. You'll have to accept this one day."
Veronica just turned around.
He sighs again. "I'll leave you be. I'll talk to you soon."
Present day Veronica chuckled at her own words.
"Hello!? Veronica? Aren't you gonna make them stop or are you just gonna write there?" Said Heather.
"Heather, leave her be." Said JD.
"I'll help out later."
"Ugh fine." Said Heather.
The next one Veronica wrote down is a little crazy, but she still tried to deny it at the time.
Age 13, her parents took her to London, to fricking Hampton Court, because she had a hyperfixation on Tudor history at the time.
Her parents let her explore on her own. She is totally fine with that, it makes it easy to go check out stuff.
Then she heard sniffles.
Being the person she is, she went to see who was crying. Then she-
Holy crap is that a teenager in a fancy garment WITH BLOOD DRIPPING DOWN HER NECK?!
IS THAT ANOTHER PERSON WITH BLOOD DRIPPING DOWN HER NECK WHO LOOKS LIKE SHE'S IN HER MID THIRTIES NEXT TO HER?!
"Uh..." She mutters. "Is everything okay?"
Both girls turn to her.
"You see us?" Asked the older one.
Veronica nods. "Y-Yeah..."
"Oh. What is your name child?"
"Veronica Sawyer..."
She nods. "Katherine, kindly greet the girl."
"H-Hi." She mutters out.
Wait, Katherine?
"History has explained who we are, but we will still introduce ourselves formally. I am Anne Boleyn."
"And I am-" She sniffles. "Katherine Howard."
Veronica doesn't know how long she stood there frozen but she did manage to move. "Oh..." She sat near them. "What's wrong?"
Katherine looks at her for a bit before turning away again. "Every time I am here, I remember being dragged away by the king's guards."
Veronica looks at her with sympathy. "Oh. You were only 19 right?" Katherine nods.
"We were both moths drawn to a flame. And it eventually burnt us." Said Anne.
"I believe you guys." Said Veronica. "That you are innocent." She turns to Katherine. "And that you were not fully aware of what was happening. I know your executions were not justified."
Anne and Katherine smile at her.
"You should know that you knowing that, is very comforting." Said Anne.
Katherine nods. "It truly is."
Later, as Veronica left Hampton Court, she couldn't help but wonder if that truly was her imagination due to her current hyperfixation, or if she actually does sees ghosts.
"DAMMIT KURT!"
Veronica turns and tosses a notebook--that she doesn't care for anymore--at him. "Get off my bed."
"Boo. Spoil sport." Said Kurt.
Veronica turns back to what she was writing.
Now for the day she finally accepted the fact that she does in fact see ghosts...
And that was Heather Chandler.
Ever since Heather died, she followed her around EVERYWHERE. She thought she was going crazy, especially when Kurt and Ram died and they followed Heather everywhere, resulting in them being around her a lot.
But only during that time JD broke into her room did she realized they were real.
She was hiding in the closet, Kurt and Ram are too busy enjoying the fact that they were in a woman's closet to worry, and Heather was next to her, keeping calm but her expression shows she's worried.
JD was currently monologing outside the closet door. "We'll plant this note explaining how they died."
That's when Veronica got the idea.
"We, the students of Westerburg High, will die!"
Heather noticed. "What's with that face Saywer?"
"He likes suicides doesn't he?" Said Veronica.
"I can hardly tell..." Heather said sarcastically. "What does that have to do with anything?"
"Our burned bodies may finally get through, to you, your society churns out slaves and blanks! No thanks!"
"Let's see how he reacts to a suicide he didn't plan." Said Veronica as she took off her blazer and grabbed a blanket.
"Signed, the students of Westerburg High! Goodbye!"
Heather picked up Veronica's blazer from the floor and threw it over her shoulder. "What exactly are you doing?"
"We'll watch the smoke pour out the doors! Bring marshmallows, we'll make smores. We can smile and cuddle while the fire roars!"
"I'm gonna tie the blanket around my waist, to carry me from the ground. Then around my neck to make it look like a suicide. Then I'll put my blazer on to cover the blanket." Said Veronica. "With the right angle, it'll look like I actually killed myself."
"Hm. Sounds like it could work." Said Heather.
"I was meant to be yours! We were meant to be one!"
Veronica struggles to tie the blanket. Heather sighs. "Come on, I'll help you out."
"Oh thanks, just tie that there." Said Veronica.
"I can't make it alone! Finish what we begun!"
Wait, is she actually letting Heather help her? She's supposed to just be a figment of her imagination...
Right?
"You were meant to be mine!"
"And done." Said Heather.
"Thanks..." This can't be real.
"What's with that tone, Sawyer?" Asked Heather.
"Nothing, nothing." She immediately responded.
"I am all that you need!"
"Whatever." Said Heather as she held up the blue blazer and puts on Veronica.
"You carved open my heart!"
Veronica puts her arms in the sleeves and thinks, so that happened. Heather actually helped her out.
She really can see ghosts.
"Can't juts leave to bleed! VERONICA! Open the, open the door please."
Heck, she knew that all this time. She just refused to acknowledge that she can.
"Veronica, open the door. Veronica, can we not, fight anymore please. Can we not fight anymore? Veronica sure, you're scared. I've been there! I can set you free! Veronica, don't make me come in there! I'm gonna count to three!
ONE
TWO
FUCK IT!"
Yeah, Heather cackling at JD when he thought Veronica was dead and at her mom when she dolphin screamed is definitely real.
"THAT'S IT! KURT, RAM, GET OUT MY NIECE'S ROOM!" Louis yelled.
Kurt and Ram pouted, but did so anyway.
"It's definitely a good thing that there's an adult figure in here." Said JD.
"Remember, just because I tolerate you two more than Kurt and Ram, doesn't mean I like you two." Louis reminded Heather and JD.
"Okay, uncle Louis, I think they know. You remind every time." Said Veronica.
"Anyway, what were you writing?" Asked Louis.
"Nothing entirely important. Just an analysis of a few things." Answered Veronica.
"Alright then." Said Louis.
Yeah, it's weird. Being able to see ghosts is weird. Especially when some are terrible, she's had her fair share of encounters with those type of ghosts.
But hey, at least she's never alone.
omg I usually never ask for any fix but I cannot get this out of my mind now:
Leaving the kids with Uncle Bob and Uncle chicken whilst opposites attract!Jake and Y/N go out of town. Like im talking about:
Uncle chicken giving the kids a bit too much freedom then immediately regretting it
Uncle bob thinking he can totally wrangle the kids and WRONG he’s OUTNUMBERED
Possible scenario involving a skunk and CASES of tomato juice cans
Maybe they take the kids to a lil kids center
Maybe one kid gets uncle chicken to chase them through the play set and uncle chicken gets stuck in the slide ( bob has to push his ass through)
Maybe they accidentally put the kids in a slightly dangerous situation (sitcom level dangerous) and they bribe the kids with ice cream to not tell their parents
parents come home and uncle bob and uncle chicken are epitome of chill
“Hey why are there 50 cans of tomato juice in the trash ca-?” “ GOTTA GO” “ HAVE A GOOD NUGHT”
Basically I’m envisioning: adventures of a babysitter, the pacifier, and parental guidance
Ooooo orrrrr opposites attract spin off: adventures of the babysitters (like lil mini stories lol)
Omg I promise I’m done now your fic just made me so happy and I couldnt help myself - have the bestestttt day 🫶🫶🫶
See, when it was just Alex and Ella, Uncle Rooster had everything under control. Alex was easily entertained with hours of Smithsonian TV, and Ella was just months old watching her godfather with big green eyes. Now when Ella got older, Uncle Rooster realized he might have his hands full. There was once where he turned around for a couple seconds to tie Alex's shoe, and Ella was gone (she saw a dog and wanted to pet it), so after that he brought in Uncle Bob.
Uncle Bob had things a little bit more under control when it came to just the two Seresin kids. . . and then Eli came along. Bob and Rooster thought Eli was going to be easy, be just like his older brother. . . but man, were they ALL wrong. Eli was proving to the world very quickly he was the youngest Seresin (I mean, he showed everyone he was running things when he decided to come a week late. . . and while Y/N was at home). Bob and Rooster's biggest fight with Eli was trying to keep his clothes on.
Bob and Rooster had contemplated leashes for the Seresin kids when they go out. Alex tended to stay by their side, he was so much like his mother, he didn't want to stray away from comfort from them. Ella was adventurous and would take off. . . Eli would try and take his clothes off. Eli also liked to cause a ruckus by throwing fits. There were times were Rooster would get glares for the crying child in his arms cause Eli would throw himself on the ground.
They thankful that Phoenix was named Jasper and Maxwell's godmother, cause that means she was ALSO added to the baby sitting roster. Except she never seemed to have as many issues as Bob and Rooster do.
"How do you do it?" Rooster asked, staring wide eyed at the five sleeping Seresin kids on the couch, "Did you drug them?"
"No!" Phoenix whisper-yelled and hit his chest, "The key is no sugar after 4PM, and make them run around in the backyard for hours. Jasper was falling asleep in his highchair." She smirked, and walked back over to the couch. The boys stared at her wide-eyed like she was about to wake a sleeping lion.
"What are you doing!?" Bob whispered as he watched her pick up Ella, who wrapped her small arms and legs around her aunt's body.
"Putting them to bed," Phoenix said, "They're sleeping, pick them up gently and put them in bed. I will put the twins down." Phoenix watched over her shoulder as Rooster tiptoed over to the chair were Eli was sleeping, and gently poked his cheek before reaching down to pick him up.
Spidersona Fact Dump + Dimension World Building
Been thinking about 'em lately. More specifically their dimension, so have my trash:
The state of their dimension is a result of a sort of super nuclear war with new found science. Some time has passed since and the world is getting better.
A lot of the fauna was affected, resulting in species so different they looked like something out of a fantasy book.
Normal animals are a rarity, and is illegal around the world to interact with them(some parts are more lenient than others). Many people turned to religions to try and solve their problems(famine, droughts, etc).
Places where weather was already pretty bad, are currently uninhabitable (basically, the Sahara dessert is just a ocean of lava and Antartica is a large piece of dry ice).
A lot of people were affected too, resulting with many having traits of animals and even some objects. Though, when this happens, people become in some way disabled(mentally and/or physically). They're also currently a minority, so the hate against them is still fairly strong.
The science in this world is much more like magic than anything
Europe is considered to be the best place to live in, since a lot of the world's resources(electricity, food, gas, even water) come from there. It's also VERY large
Various things were abolished in the aftermath of the nuclear war. Capitalism, health care(more specifically that thing where you have to pay thousands of dollars to get treatment), usual educational systems, and things like that aren't a thing anymore, as they can no longer prosper in these conditions. Billionaires are also the smallest class, and most of them tend to be philanthropists. In these trying times, no one can really afford to tend to just themselves. That would result in planetary suicide.
There's a sort of system to recognizing dangerous creatures. From 1-10, 1 being enough to cause a small ruckus and 10 being big enough to destroy at least half the planet.
In schools, from kindergarten to college(which is free, by the way), they are taught what is really essential. What to do in case a creature attacks, how to cook, how to conserve money, etc. Things you'll most likely use in the future. History, english, and math is thrown into the mix too. Later, you can choose more 'pointless' (note the quotation marks) things later, like art and music.
A lot of older music and stuff like that is being brought back, mainly for the older memories of simpler times
Many heroes of the OG MCU have changed with the world. The ones who were outside of the world before the war(Thor, the Guardians of the Galaxy, etc.) Have not changed
Now, some stuff with Spiderish:
Spiderish was born shortly after the war, and had to move elsewhere in order to avoid the worst of it. After hearing good things about it, her parents went to Japan
Her real name is Bonnibelle Marcos. She prefers to just go by 'Buni', as she doesn't particularly like how her full first name sounds.
She lives with her Aunt May. She was her dad's brother's wife. Aunt May is a Asian woman that works full time at a restaurant she owns herself. She was originally married to her uncle, until he passed away (and realized she wasn't into men). She took in Spiderish after the incident, and does what she can to raise her right.
Spiderish's cat, Noodle(who is most likely getting a redesign(thinkin' about making him a sphinx, thoughts?), can physically speak. He's fairly sassy and sarcastic, but he'll be up for pets and cuddling if tuna is offered.
She often tries to hide how she looks with makeup and such
Spiderish likes to collect a lot of things from the past, like records, music, and clothing. She'll even pick up old phrases and sayings because they sound cool
The police isn't exactly fond of her, but she makes their work easier
She has a YouTube channel as her hero self. She posts things like 'tips on what to do if someone pulls a knife on you' and stunts she tries. Some videos on Noodle are also there. It has like twenty followers
She can teleport anywhere within her field of vision. Her goggles help her already terrible vision and improve it, thus allowing her to teleport. It's also a regular occurrence to make teleports without meaning to(don't you just hate it when your claws randomly get stuck in reality?)
All of her senses are enhanced. She doesn't like yelling, and likes to play with things like slime, bubble wrap, and reversible sequins for this reason
Get her a tub of cloud slime she she'll be your best friend
May or may not have tried to eat glow sticks
She meets the others by chance. She was fighting a category 4 monster when she crashed into Miles's dimension. And from then on she hangs out with him and the others
