🌩️ Gods don’t usually get sick, such an ocurance is extremely rare

🌟 But that doesn’t mean it’s truly impossible

🌩 His monks are the one who send him back home, and Liu Kang uses his baby monitor to kinda beg for Raiden to come over

🌩 Luckily, Raiden came over very quickly, almost in a rush (he didn’t want his baby to be all icky and alone)

🌩 He does feel better very quickly!! Being a God, and a fire God, he ends up feeling good about the next day

🌟 Is a little more open to padding with cute designs on them, especially since Raiden has some for when he’s small

🌩 Gasped and almost became a bit excited when Raiden showed him one with tiny dragons on it, and those are the ones that Liu Kang uses the most

🌟 ^ It does help Liu Kang’s little fits about padding lessen, and Raiden didn’t know why he didn’t think of something dragon related earlier

🌩 Or, until Johnny made a small joke about it, and now Liu Kang’s crying in Raiden’s arms

🌟 Johnny gets sent to a timeout, which also causes him to regress, and now Raiden has two fussy little ones to take care of

🌩 Liu Kang upset because he was just getting more comfy with padding and even though Johnny’s joke was more about dragons, it was still about him using padding and he didn’t like it

🌟 And Johnny’s upset because in his eyes, he didn’t do anything wrong!! He just made a joke, he doesn’t know why Liu Liu’s all upset!!

🌩 ^ Don’t worry, Johnny does apoligize after Raiden explains that Liu doesn’t like those kind of jokes, and Liu Kang does forgive him (and gets Johnny out of a second timeout because Kenshi wasn’t too happy about the situation)

I'm harassing you to talk about your favorite rare pair. Nothing specific. Just info dump or something. 💗

Since you're asking for an info dump, I'll let myself be a little disorganized with this. Keep in mind, this is ofc based on my interpretations of the characters.

Also, thank you for asking. 💜

Mumbleshipping: the rarest pair that I very seriously ship, so ofc this one has to come first. Me even discovering this ship at all was a fluke, and now I've dedicated tens of thousands of words to it. I think it's a great example of how people do not need to be the same or similar for a relationship to work. There's a lot of surface differences between Ryou, Duke, and Kaiba, and they all have very distinct personalities from each other. They do have similarities (dad trauma, game obsession, broken families) but they have way more differences than similarities, and that can be such a beautiful thing, because they're always challenging each other to look at something in a different way. For me, it's a ship based on personal growth: it only happens when all three boys have decided to Do Better and are supporting each other in that mission, which is why it's so helpful for them to challenge each other. Seto is all cold intellect and power, Ryou is all empathy and understanding, Duke is all charm and sass. (All three of them are creative types, and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.) They learn to modulate themselves and incorporate each other's perspectives into their worldviews, which is really healthy, because Yugioh is full of extreme, unbalanced people. Just look at Kaiba and tell me I'm wrong. They have to learn to mellow out esp Kaiba and they're a good influence on each other. Duke is sometimes a naughty influence, but even so. They need each other and they make each other better people, and they also need to KISS for the love of Ra. Ryou shows his boys such deep, accepting love, Kaiba is fiercely protective of both of them, and Duke is always reminding them both to relax and have fun sometimes, which is something they both need to hear because they are anxious babbies.

Like, if you look at my blog header rn, I picked expressions for them in that commission that specifically demonstrated their different personalities, but even so, they're still linked together. Nobody is pulling away and nobody wants to. Kaiba needs to feel loved, Ryou needs to be protected, they all need acceptance and validation even if they don't think they do. I love them too much.

All of that said, am I tied to a pretty specific interpretation of this ship? I mean yeah, I've got a longfic for the way I see them. If I saw someone with a different interpretation of this ship? I would just be so excited to see someone else talking about this ship and want to hear their perspective on it also. Because it's good for people to have different ideas and opinions.

6. What do they call each other?

Donnie loves calling Barbra variations of her name: Barb, Barbie, Barbalicious, Babs, Babsie, Babbie, Babble, Babette, B, etc., etc. And Lamb because, duh.

Barbra usually calls him Donnie, Boy, or Turtle Boy. The first time she called him cute after he explained the mutant turtle situation, he got really giddy, so sometimes she calls him Cutie or Handsome just to see him flustered and as a reminder that she really does love him, mutant turtle and all. At her most affectionate, it's My Boy or My Turtle.

12. Who gets cold most easily?

Donnie. Barbra has thick skin; she can and will choose something fashionable over weather-appropriate clothing. Some days, she's wearing only a sweater in the dead of winter because it looks cuter, and Donnie who is completely bundled up, stares at her like, how???? She gets brain freeze crazy fast, though, and will shiver when she eats cold food, whereas Donnie will take a big bite out of ice cream or chow through still frozen hot pockets like it's nothing.

22. What do they argue about?

The Sewer Hour. They get into very loud quarrels about the most recent controversy Mikey brought up. Just as everyone starts to get really worried, they change subjects and go on like nothing happened. Everyone's totally baffled, but, in their minds, they were having a very civil debate that was mostly just for fun. No one's been able to convince them otherwise.

And astrology. When she meets Donnie, Barbra doesn't understand the distinction between astrology and astronomy, and it takes them many heated arguments to figure this out. Even after they clear this up, the arguing doesn't stop. Also, also, yellow, I can't stop thinking about your answer to 7 with Barbra reading her horoscopes. I'm a little obsessed with each of them having unspoken personal stakes in an astrology v. "real science" debate, where they're both die-on-this-hill-serious because it's not really what they're fighting about. They figure it out eventually, and it becomes a fond routine to bicker about its validity as a field of study, cultural influence, practical use in daily life, or whatever tangent sparks their interest that day.

A Look Over the Art I Made in 2023

2023 has come and gone, with a sizeable improvement on my art skills. Once again, I am VERY proud of the work I managed to accomplish this year. I'll be going over some of the highlights month by month in this post, being sure to point out anything of note.

JANUARY

Starting off the year, I made some new artwork of Skweeb! I consider this fairly outdated now, but it did start a few trends with the character, mainly how I draw shine on him. His eyes bulge outwards, they're not holes! I also drew @akfamilyhome's character, Leddy.

FEBRUARY

This was a BIG month for me! I tried a lot of new things, and most of them worked out! This month also contains what I consider to be one of my best drawings this year, a celebration of Hollow Knight's 6th anniversary. Other highlights include a dashing tribute to Dangeresque and an entirely new reference sheet for Skweeb!

MARCH

March was not a particularly noteworthy month. These are the only two drawings from it! That said, I am quite happy getting any drawings out this month at all! As you'll see later on, this wasn't actually my most dry month.

APRIL

A VERY full month! I can't even fit everything I wanted to! Lots of Skweeb here, some Lucy too! Also a fitting send-off to Courtney (very sad Dead End got cancelled). Tried some big things here, like with the parody Album art, but for the most part I was just doing what I was good at: simple character full-bodies.

MAY

VERY dry month for art. This is the only piece from May! I participated in @some-fool-fp's aRtPG collab this month. Skweeb joins the party!!!!! Made my own custom logo for him, too.

I had a LOT of college work this month. I was working on a game!!! I got the highest grade possible on it, very proud of that. If you would like to play it, you can do so here. Just a warning though, it's very short and VERY jank at times.

JUNE

Another big month!! Some proper reference of Winslow, another Jevil drawing, and my FAVORITE piece of Skweeb art to date!!! The pose and the shading is just so good on it, I love it.

JULY

...Well this is awkward.

Art Fight was this month, and with all of my effort going towards that, I kinda... didn't draw any of my own art this month. Whoops.

AUGUST

A NEW OC WAS CREATED THIS MONTH!!!! Meet Chao. He helps out at the circus. He babby. I put a TON of effort into getting his design just right and ensuring he had the proper referencing before working on anything else. I love this 'lil guy.

Also some of my favorite art from this year!!! Inspired by Lemon Demon's "One Weird Tip", I made some art that takes place on a ficticous desktop! Getting the shapes and text right was hard, but I am so glad I put the time and effort in.

SEPTEMBER

Always Watching.

WOW, I am so so proud of what I accomplished with this CoTL piece. Everything from the pose to the composition and the use of colour is just PERFECT. This is up there in my favourite pieces of art from this year.

A certain someone turned 2 this month! My baby boy, now 2 years old... how time flies...

It was halloween this month too... but Skweeb isn't dressing up this year. It's Lucy in his place! Got some nice Jax art here too, I love that asshole.

NOVEMBER

I was never the most content with my previous Jevil artwork. I never felt like I was giving it my all, which is why I'm happy to say that this month, I did!

I also took a second shot at drawing Jax; this time, featuring Pomni! I used thinner lines and taught myself how to draw hands a whole lot better, I think it helped, haha.

Lastly, (part of) my piece for @hillelart's 10th Anniversary FNAF collab! The full thing is staying secret for now. Keep an eye out for January 15th!

DECEMBER

Finally, we arrive at December.

Funnily enough, I didn't actually draw for half the month. But when I got back into it, I got BACK in. I'm very proud of both of these pieces, and the shading and blending I used in them! This certainly feels like a new era of my art, and I'm looking forward to continuing it!

And that's it. You made it to the end! Most people just together a simple image for their art recap, and while that certainly works just fine, I like to go into the nitty gritty, write down my entire year in art, y'know?

I'm not sure if this year contains as much progress as 2022, but it certainly contains a BOATLOAD of progress! Look back at the start of the post and compare it to the end of the post, the difference is insane!

Lastly, I've got just one more thing to show, once again, redrawing my first ever piece to mark off yet another year. I hope you like it, you'll only have to wait another 365 days for the next one!

JLM THOTS (JLM thot)

okay so I cannot remember when I started watching Elementary, but that was my first conscious JLM (I had watched Trainspotting, but I was but a babby at the time -- I have seen it... some times since then), and listen. we through around the word ND on this here site, but I think Mr. JLM as Sherlock Holmes is one of the original tumblr ND regents, and still absolutely Peak! this man knew what he was doing!

and then I went on a little JLM tour, and I am here to give you the top movies I saw with him at the time (after which I will do the list of movies I want to watch now): Hackers, Trainspotting + T2, Plunkett and Mcleane (seriously, this movie is underrated!), The Flying Scotsman, Mansfield Park, Regeneration -- also most underrated Mr Knightley in Emma + in a fun, odd little show called Eli Stone (I also watched Mindhunters, Byzantium -- which is some great Gemma Arterton -- The Escapist, Aeon Flux, and Dark Shadows, and I'm not necessarily saying don't watch these... well, maybe don't watch Dark Shadows... but they weren't my favourite. although Byzantium is fascinating. misogynist vampires)

Movies I have yet to see that I want to watch: Dead Man's Walk, Complicity, Love Honour and Obey, and Dracula 2000

MOVIES TO SHORTLY GIVE AN EXTRA SHOUTOUT TO

I'm not going to talk about Hackers (famously dreaming about wearing a latex bodysuit and getting railed by his future irl wife Angeline Jolie) or Trainspotting, but T2 -- is it good? yeah, it's not bad actually. did it need to exist? no, no it didn't. did it enjoy textually pointing out that Renton and Sick Boy have some kinda Sexual Tension? yeah, yeah, yeah! actually kind of feels like the main reason it exists is to go "hmmm do you think Renton and Sick Boy are a bit... youknow?"

also shoutout to Robert Carlyle who's in the Trainspotting films and also co-starred with JLM in their very own homoerotic duo film, which includes Liv Tyler "Plunkett and Macleane" loosely based on the history of two real highway men, and it's. just such a great movie. it's one of my "please it's so fun and so silly and such a product of the 90s! Craig Armstrong did the music!" it's kind of got some polyamory going on?

The Flying Scotsman is about a real amateur cyclist, and it's a pretty by-the-numbers inspirational tale, but I quite like those when they're about real underdogs and Graeme Obree certainly was that. From memory (it's been a few years now) I believe I watched this film and went "ah so that's where some of the early development of Sherlock Holmes mannerisms stems from," so it's also just fun as a study of JLM the actor

Regeneration -- gotta mention this one, because of it being about Siegfried Sassoon. he doesn't play Sassoon, but he's very good in it and generally it's a fascinating piece based on a book that I for some reason have only read the sequels of, and I'd recommend anything about Sassoon, I'm easy like that

I also didn't mention Frankenstein up above, but I watched both versions of it back whenever it was being shown with National Theatre Live and he was fucking stunning in both roles. as Frankenstein he's a little different to how I often picture him (read: JLM is not giving pathetic twink, although he is giving twitchy weirdo), but JLM is so physical throughout, so pitch-perfect in how he's interpreting the role. and as Adam/the creature it's like every bit of tension he's ever been able to control is just unleashed, it's sooooo (argh gotta see if I can find a torrent of that so I can rewatch him)

Now the thing about JLM is that he's often cast as kinda the straight man in a lot of his stuff, but he's... so not.... that man is silly! and you can tell! his physicality is a bouncy little weirdo, and for a good long while his body was that of a bouncy little weirdo -- and then he got fuckn Big 🥵😂 (you can take the man out of the bouncy little weirdo, but you can't take the bouncy little weirdo out of the man...... smthin like that. the more i look at this sentence the more I feel like this is an innuendo, oh well. now it's intentional)

the thing I really like about him is that he seems totally un-self-conscious while playing characters who are often under great scrutiny, either for being considered criminal and/or for being visibly non-neurotypical and/or otherwise non-normative. he's a hacker, he's an addict, he's a creature that was created from the bodies of other men, he's a bipolar cyclist, he's giving us Thee Sherlock Holmes of modern times, stimming, kinky, caring, blunt, overstimulated, relapsing, deeply unconventionally in a relationship with Watson that doesn't attempt to fit them into any mainstream language at any point!

also he has the best grimace of ever. he's so good at looking simply. perturbed. uncomfortable. get me out of this party. when he's 70 or 80 he's going to be the best old man face 🥺🥺🥺

also if I am very very lucky and very very nice to my mum, she'll take me to watch him in his current play in London, wish me luck!

TL;DR underrated character actor JLM, broader than you think he is, the hero of portrayals of weirdos and freaks and outcasts, I think it's wild that he's danced around playing queers this entire time, make him kiss a man stat!

(there's a whole other, very specific analysis of his gender in Hackers and how that relates to a wider feeling about his particular take on masculinity in a lot of my favourite portrayals of his, and also there was a youtube video that i just spent 15mins trying to find on Hackers from a transgender perspective that's mostly correctly-so about Cereal Killer/Matthew Lillard, but touches on the gender-fuckery of JLM and Angelina Jolie)

Roy, it's impolite to stare. So Jamie has both daddy and mommy issues, I guess? Being babbying like that. The things this can be turned into with Roy (x Keeley?) Seriously, take him under your wing and tell him he's a good boy, and he's loved, and he can always come to you with his worries.

I get it though. It does look weird. On the other hand, maybe it's great when you're a grown ass adult and you can come to your parents and feel safe like that and share stuff. I just know that if I did this with my dad, it would look incredibly weird (and I wouldn't do it bc the idea weirds me out).

Honestly, how much does she know? And if she knows everything, why was the abuse allowed? Why wasn't Jamie protected from it, especially as an adult, when he could take his life back and his mom could support him?

For how long has Jamie been depressed now? Even in Amsterdam when he was having the time of his life with Roy and laughing, but then got into trauma sharing and was unsure if Roy trained him for him or for the entire team.

I have so many thoughts and feelings about this. I definitely need to process this, wow. The inability to feel, especially good things, to love, but also loving and stopping yourself from feel, from allowing yourself to feel like you deserve that love and your feelings being reciprocated. This hits really close to home.

I find it very curious that Roy keeps repeating Jamie's full name. Why? Is that such an alien concept, being concerned about Jamie and caring for him?

I'm sorry, how do you see this? You've had sex (????) after you told her that you love her. But then you're "friends"? After you dated and broke up? And we haven't seen them talking it through. Did they decide that after they had sex they're better off as friends??? This is so confusing.

And Jamie keeps quiet about what he saw, and then the look he shares with Roy. And the posters than he knows they saw, and probably can understand on how Jamie feels about both of them if they're not idiots (but it feels like they are sometimes.) Jamie deserves better. Jamie deserves to have a full on conversation about what's going on between all of them and all the feelings he has for them and they for him. And the conversation should've happened a LONG time ago.

Sure, I don't want Jamie with other people. I have a ship or two & I ship it. But I also want Jamie to be happy with these people. Happy and understood. I want them to communicate. I want Jamie to not feel like he's third-wheeling and like he doesn't deserve their love and doesn't deserve all the chances to be happy and feel all that love for them and from them.

He's my fav character. He deserves the absolute world.

Ohh this is a good one. Since I only played Sword for the first time starting in January, I'm still very much in my formative phase for headcanons and stuff. For most of the characters I can't even say I consciously headcanoned yet, even with all my thinking about everyone and saying "the whole of swsh is my blorbo" (admittedly with most of my focus on Victor and Hop because they're my number one favourites and OTP lol so there are definitely also ship headcanons in here, hope you don't mind! ^^"). I'll put it under a readmore since it kinda got a bit long ^^"

So here's my personal "fixed"/"core" headcanons for Victor when it comes to my own stuff:

he's transmasc and gay (this one was probably obvious since I've made on-text trans references in all but like, two fanfics haha)

he's the one who becomes Champion and is chosen by Zacian

Corviknight, Sylveon, Obstagoon and Toxtricity (evolved from the babby Toxel you get as a gift at the daycare) on the team

Fairy type association

He and Hop won the inaugural Galarian Star Tournament together and are the dream team everyone wants to battle but knows will be tough to beat (Hop calling them "Postwick dream team" is a canon thing, so!)

Now for personality and other random things? I'm open for so many things lol I did start out (even before I played) with the timid/soft-spoken/shy headcanon and I'm still so very fond of him being timid initially (and that's why Sobble as a starter + the Isle of Armor Kubfu are a perfect fit lol) — whether it's only when he's younger or still at the start of the game but growing confident once he gets his starter from Leon and finds he's pretty good at battling (the fact that he got it as a gift from Leon aka the Champion he admires + big bro of his best friend when Leon met him for the first time combined with Leon just being such a sweet and encouraging dude probably helped with that)

But yeah I'm open for many other headcanons/portrayals in that regard lol cool and confident? bless all the fanart. Easily flustered? sweet. On the oblivious side? heck yes. Sunshine boy? Absolutely, he is a whole sunshine boy 10000000000000%! Just give me all the positive Victor content and I'll probably soak it up happily and cry and have it fuel me lmao thank you for my life.

As for his starter, god I simply cannot decide. I picked Grookey in my game (I really wanted Sobble but joked I was obligated to pick Scorbunny because I like football and then GMax Rillaboom came and said "hi" lol) but as mentioned above I'm so fond of Victor with Sobble. But Scorbunny is also a perfect fit so I've just been rotating around for a bit between my fics (though I think I've yet to actually write him with Scorbunny???). Maybe one of these days I can make up my mind for both him and Hop which starter they choose ^^" in any case: I also live for the whole "they gift each other eggs of their starters and some of their 'mons are partners" thing so there's that (in fact it might've been easy to guess that in my world of things their Corviknight are a partners for sure)

Speaking of Hop, it's my headcanon that Victor has a crush on him pretty much since they're kids/since they first met, and is very much aware of it being a crush that just never leaves and his feelings grow stronger as they grow up. Meanwhile Hop also has a crush all along but is a bit oblivious about how to interpret his own feelings until along on the main story (Leon, meanwhile, guesses pretty easily that his little bro has a giant crush on that friend he keeps talking about all the time and lightly teases him for it, cue denial lol). So much potential for both fluff and a dash of angst... mmmm. By the post-credits story lines Hop definitely had that "Oh." moment and then is even more loud about his crush.

Based on me associating Victor with the fairy type, I have the silly little headcanon that at first he just thinks Bede is kinda funny, then it gets personal when Bede very largely contributes to Hop's mid-story crisis, and then Opal rejects him as a successor candidate only to later scout/adopt Bede in front of him. Cue him solo-ing battles against him with just his Corviknight (ok I admit this last part is also based on how it goes in my game lmao Bede is far too easy to beat... both as an opponent and if I team up with him)

Recently I've really been into the idea that Victor is asked to take over the Flying type Gym a couple of years after becoming Champion and then he's both Champion and also becomes strongest ranked Gym Leader (this is me guessing that since Gym Leaders can win the Championship, it's possible to be a parallel thing/Champions in general have a side thing they're doing rather than just being fulltime Champ, idk lol also, he totally beats Mustard's record for a reigning streak). His ace as a Gym Leader is Corviknight! (because what else would you expect from me, I adore Corviknight hahaha)

Now for "where's his family from" I am not sure if I have a "proper" headcanon yet. I've seen the headcanon that the protagonist's family is from Sinnoh and I like that hc, so I adopted that for the meet-cute drabble I wrote earlier this week but with a spin where I kinda combined it with some inspo from Elio|Selene (i.e. Dad's still working in Sinnoh/often away for work + combined with the headcanon I've seen for Elio|Selene's mom that she does have an Alolan background. unrelated sidenote, I'm really fond of the Alola protags' mom lol she's sweet). So basically like with all these other things I'm just having fun playing around with different possibilities at this point!

I'm also so very fond of flower boi Victor and it's one of my headcanons that he loves exploring and really loved the Crown Tundra adventures (and didn't mind that Sonia asked him to do all the work finding the Swords of Justice + was happy about the praise). He really enjoys tagging along with Hop and/or Sonia for fieldwork, and the two make it a habit to invite him along since they value his input and also want to make sure he gets breaks to destress from everything that comes along with being the reigning Champion, especially as the one who caught Eternatus + gained the title when he beat Leon. Especially Hop invites him along since that also doubles as more time together when they're both often busy with their career paths. Also on that note, Leon and Sonia being Victor and Hop's mentor figures just makes me so soft 🥺 the Leon being Victor's mentor doubly so with the headcanon that Leon is transmasc too (which unlike transmasc Victor I can't say is a "fixed" hc yet but I'm very fond of the idea)

(also, while I'm now all on the "Victor is a total career Champ/Gym Leader and thriving" train at this point, I still live for the type of angst where he gets a little bit of selfdoubt crisis — in the early years somewhat more subtle and like a case of stagefright like in my drabble "Believe", then a bit more into the future it's like "oh god what do I even do when I inevitably lose the Championship, can I even continue as a Gym Leader if I lose my title, this is kind of all I have going for me what do I do" but he gets through it since he has such a supportive network of loved ones and friends. Also another tangent here, I also love the idea of Victor as a (part-time) model so lol he definitely has a lot more than just a fulltime battle career)

He likes hanging out in Spikemuth with Marnie, Piers, and Team Yell, and especially Obstagoon and Toxtricity really have fun when they do. On a related note, I like the idea that Team Yell kind of become Victor stans too because Marnie thinks highly of him, so they cheer for him together with her (whenever she's not the one battling him in a match, obviously lol)

I've already rambled so much about various aspects I could think of ahaha so now since I've already talked about Hop + this is a trainshipping zone, I'll add some of my "core" headcanons for him!

is gay (or not clearly labeled but definitely likes boys. this is coming from someone who's very "???" about labels re: my own orientation but definitely is a boy-liker lol so please excuse the bit of vaguess here despite listing it in my core hcs hahaha)

He'd often ramble to Victor about what he's studying and Victor is always happy to listen and loves when he's so excited, so it basically turns into Victor helping him study. Also, they both make sure the other gets enough rest and destresses, already through their teens but especially when they're both grown up and Victor is still Champion (+ a Gym Leader) while Hop is now a fully fledged Professor. Even way into the future it remains a Thing that Hop excitedly rambles about his research or rants when he's stuck on something, and Victor is happy to listen and try to help him get unstuck (and Hop gives him a big smooch in thanks even if all Vic did was just listen and ask questions to hear more).

Most random thing but I so love the idea of either (or both) of them having freckles and same for glasses... bless all the fanarts with glasses for either of them. And while I also love fanart of Prof Hop wearing a more formal look, it's my wholehearted believe that he'll still wear the signature trackies look just with a labcoat now (and — you guessed it — Vic hogs his jackets. Nevermind that he has all the hoodies and fancy jackets and everything, the boyfriend jacket is so much comfier than anything else).

And I'm going to end this looooong ramble to mention that I've been developing fankids for them too! I already talked about them over on twitter and I'll probably talk about them here eventually too haha

favorite thing about them: Ahhh I can't choose just one!! Probably the fact that I relate to him the most, so like... His personality?? Plus I love foxes XD And his design is adorable... And I love how he's like a little brother to basically all of Sonic's friends, I relate to it a lot bc I'm often the baby of any friendgroup-

least favorite thing about them: When he isn't written very well (So like. Sonic Forces) but I feel like that's with every Sonic character. But generally I really like Tails and don't really find anything I dislike about him.

brOTP: Sonic and Tails, I love their brotherhood and friendship and it reminds me of me and my older sibling. I also like the idea of Tails being close friends with Shadow, they both have guns as a special interest-

OTP: I don't really ship Tails romantically with anyone, both because he's a little kid and also because I hc him as aroace, so I can't imagine him with anyone even as an adult. He and Cosmo are adorable together but I don't like... ship ship them, if that makes sense? It's more like "babby's first (tragic) love".

nOTP: Literally almost any ship tbh. Sonic and Tails as a ship makes me uncomfortable bc they're brothers (plus their brotherhood reminds me of me and my sibling, so...), and Tails being shipped with Rouge is a very big red flag to me too-

random headcanon: Because of the bullying and trauma he has, he doesn't want anyone to touch his tails - it immediately makes him panic. Sonic is probably the only one who is allowed to touch them, but he always asks first (nonverbally or verbally) and never touches them without a warning.

unpopular opinion: I think he should be allowed to be scared of some things because he is still a little kid. I get that in Sonic Forces it felt out of character, but for example in Sonic Unleashed I think it's understandable why he was scared of the Dark Gaia minions

what is everyone's heights?

I actually just looked it up to refresh my memory on the canon heights and

That's...all pretty short! I'm not entirely sure why they did this-maybe to give their silhouettes more obvious differences, or just scale everything down to a child's level? The twins are basically average height-a little shorter than average, actually. That makes sense-they're fourteen at the start of the show, likely not at their adult heights. Not even touching on how they're mutants and might not ever stop growing like a lot of reptiles do. Mikey-yeah, he's babby, I can believe that he's under five feet.

April, however, is nearly a foot shorter than the average girl her age. But when you look at her against her classmates she's pretty much their height. Sketch.

And then Raph is shown to pretty much tower over people. And yeah, six feet is nothing to sneeze at, but really not that much taller than the average male. Granted, he's still a teenager. Soooo I'm using this as more guidelines than actual rules.

In my head, they're all maybe a couple of inches taller than this at the most. Draxum still towers over everyone else. Cass is about the same height as the twins, same with Bella. Pax and Sophia are both really tiny, lol, about Mikey-sized. Bella and Pax's mom was also super tall, their dad was probably like Greg Universe and just went bananas over giant women.

Which, I draw the Gibson twins explicitly with my torso, partially cuz my torso is weird and asymmetrical and partially cuz I felt either A) I'd eventually grow to accept my body (didn't work) and B) No one else draws anyone that looks like me.

While A.C. is a trans man, and is fine actually not being really curvy, his sister Copal is a trans woman and a straighter example, but also she's not the deutertagonist of the comic so I rarely draw her.

In contrast the protagonist of the comic is basically designed like me if I was pretty and therefore cared how I looked.

Originally I gave her my hair at max condition but I'm learning the weird perfect curl rolls I have are just two sets of curls interlocking and my hair's prolly coser to 2C than 3C which is more in the realm of "black hair" (Tho I've seen non-black people with the willow hair)

Tho I guess since they're both like, not human it's kinda hard to say like, pretty much all the bunnies and texans have big hips because of the animals they're inspired by, but also I'd be way more okay with my weird-ass torso and lack of hips if I was stacked like A.C. right there.

Tho yeah, aunno beauty is in the eye of the beholder and a lot of people kinda wish they could swap body types... which I guess is why the first arc of the sequel to my webcomic involved the bi-polar staff.

So in regards to catboy Sephiroth, he, at one point, was a kitten. Which means he would have had kitten behavior, like pouncing on things, running around at night, and climbing way too high and needing help to get back down (at least that's how I write him in my fic.)

So how about HC on a tiny toddler Seph who unintentionally gives Hojo hell in the labs?

My version of Seph was really timid, skittish, and shy as a child, BUT I will make an exception for Catboy shenanigans because they're everything.

-Tiny babby kitten Sephiroth. Literal perfection. Literally flawless. Flawless sweet innocent tiny baby. All wobbly and trusting. And Shinra RUINED him.

-During those very brief, early years with Hojo and Gast, Sephiroth genuinely adored both of them, Hojo included. He loves crawling into their laps and demanding to be fussed over, always sitting on the table next to them, always making himself seen, always rubbing up against their hands and demanding attention.

-Sephiroth was not yet afraid of the lab and was absolutely tireless when it came to exploring it. Gast was good at watching him, but Hojo often lost track of exactly where he was whenever he was crawling around. This leads to Sephiroth getting stuck in high places or tangled up in various wires and yowling until Hojo is able to locate him.

-Toys or playtime were only ever a Gast thing. Sephiroth was absolutely RUTHLESS when it came to teething and bit off the heads of several stuffed victims. He also liked spinny ribbons or things that made noises, sneaking up and batting at it before jumping away.

-On the extremely rare occasions he was allowed outside, you bet your ass he was jumping at butterflies. Pupils fully blown, stalking and sneaking up on them. But he wouldn't hurt them. He just liked catching them.

-Falls asleep on Hojo's lap. Dead weight. Sinks in and refuses to let go.

-Teeny baby kitten needed bottle feeding from day one. No momma cat to knead on. 😭 This is starting to sound like a Sarah McLachlan ad.

-Fluffs up after bathing. He floof.

-Sephiroth is a WEIRD toddler. He acts bizarre from time to time, jumping or swatting at nothing, running in a circle, zoomies out of nowhere. Hojo thinks it's UNGODLY annoying. It doesn't help that Seph is constantly chewing and tearing at the reports he works on. He'd put Sephiroth into the other room alone but Seph starts bawling and mewling for him the second the door closes.

-Extremely active at night and often needs several naps over the course of the day. He is mostly confined to his cell, where he zips around the room rearranging the furniture. Bored kitten=Destruction 🔥

I don’t have a gender preference at all and my luv my darling my angel natsuo would be the daddy if possible.

I’m a very openly loving person but struggle with not feeling like I’m showing it in the right way. Not temperamental, quite easy to get along with BUT I can become withdrawn if I feel misunderstood or under-appreciated.

I’ve always felt like with both of us being water signs, natsu and I would be able to reach resolutions on most issues because our ways of dealing with conflict are the same. We are able to discuss it emotionally and openly.

Honestly, I'm laughing thinking about this because I feel like you and Natsuo would have one of those elderly-like kids who's super mature even when they're really small. Very emotionally aware and verbal with their needs (starts talking super early + eloquently), even if the kind of stuff they express is all really normal, like when they do or don't like something, + when things are bothering them.

("mom, get this spider away from me now😟" asdjlkfajsd what kind of kid asks like that, you know?)

I also wanna say they have a bit of anxiety in them, too. Not anything that severe, of course, because their life is GOOD... but I see them as being a bit of a goody-goody in how they picked up Natsuo's good + hardworking nature and your worries about expressing affection. They always just want things to go smoothly, so if/when they don't... they get a bit nervous and confused trying to sort things out.

They're just definitely a natural problem solver (serious in a sweet way) who always wants to help people, like you + Natsuo w/ the chores, and their friends when they argue🥺

BUT... this levelheadedness also means they're very conflict adverse, and even more so given that they've never actually seen you and Natsuo... fight. Sure, little things may come up, but since you handle it all in very healthy ways... baby is always super frustrated when other people can't do the same. Just like you, they would much rather talk out a fight than have a screaming match... though this often leads to running away from situations they can't solve or where they aren't listened to.

It's somewhat funny because they're like this even when they're little... so there's a lot of instances where they come up to you all mad because another little kid started crying instead of using their words. Your healthy water sign communication has spoiled them, oh dear </333 (just kidding, hehe). But you still gotta comfort them.

(Also, I imagine at some point you + Natsuo sit them down and are like... "you know, it's okay to cry... right? Have tantrums? Express yourself? You're a kid!" and they're just like "?" because they're so good already LOL.)

Anyway, thinking this out, I was imagining a girl... but I'd also say this would fit really well for any boy you had, too. Either way, they'd definitely be a well-behaved, hand-gripper who'd need so much reassurance whenever they saw someone being Ridiculous (staring at you like this ಠ_ಠ)... but also extremely good natured and loyal. Not scared of sticking up for a friend or what's right❤️
