#no spoilers for definitive edition here because i haven't played definitive joyful yet and haven't gotten any new birdie content in painful#lisa rpg#i know that half the things i say about birdie are looking Too Far Into It#but also they give us another bearded b-named addiction riddled wreck ruining his life because he's haunted by the deaths of young family#members he feels he should have protected (one of whom even committed suicide) and you expect me NOT to go 'wait that sounds familiar'#honestly the 'like/love' parallel really gets to me because it's so throwaway and i don't know why it's THERE#terry and buzzo say that (and ofc lisa originates it) but that makes SENSE#they're both categorized as someone deeply devoted to someone in the armstrong family. ofc that parallel is made#but why BIRDIE#brad's shirt pattern when he's young is the same pattern as birdie's poncho too#god it's not even just brad#dustin's least favorite thing being 'letting people down' and birdie's being 'being a failure' ESP. with the context of his children like#and (prefacing this by saying i do NOT think birdie was at all the type of father marty was) there's even similarities to marty#like you're telling me the companion who visually looks most like marty is *checks notes* the alcoholic single dad whose kid killed themsel#like there are so many weird things that are canon traits of the armstrong family that you can also see in birdie it's WILD#i'm not even saying i think any of this is THAT intentional or deliberate. like i think having fathers that failed their children on brad's#team is an obvious and deliberate choice but i don't think all this minutia w/birdie was intentional. i acknowledge i'm a lil insane#(birdie has rosy cheeks like marty because they're both drunk. fly also has the same shirt pattern so it's recusing assets. i get it)#there's just a weird amount to pick at if you want to

i was Conversing with my Wife & can i just say, i love when character thoughts hit me out of nowhere bc it feels so organic to the character. i have so many characters who are extremely neutral on children, but i wandered into the fact yesterday that blitz loves kids so much holy shit. yeah we KNOW he has dad energy, but we were talking about blitz eventually having nieces & nephews and the second he sees a baby he's putting that thing in a bjorn and carrying it around everywhere like don't even pay him for babysitting he LOVES THAT LITTLE TYKE.

unbased critrole fans when taliesin jaffe presents another highly complex and realistically flawed morally gray character who on the surface is an asshole but deep down is actually plagued by their traumatic past (or lack of a past as a whole) and has some pretty fuckin solid reasons for acting the way they do, and even if they don't these are still FLAWED, TRAUMATIZED CHARACTERS and THEY ARE NOT PERFECT SAINTS and THEY WILL FUCK UP SOMETIMES. A LOT OF THE TIMES, ACTUALLY. AND THATS OKAY!!!
#talking about literally everyone except for Caduceus#MOLLY WAS THE ONE WHO BROUGHT THE MIGHTY NEIN TOGETHER#he's the one who dragged yasha along with him to the tavern and invited Jester and Fjord and Caleb and Beau and Veth to the carnival#and his death brought them together even further#they fucking traumabonded over him#hes literally so integral to the plot of that fuckin campaign#and yeah he could be overbearing and annoying and all around a lot BUT HE WAS TWO YEARS OLD.#HE CRAWLED OUT OF THE GROUND#WITH ZERO MEMORIES ASIDE FROM MUSCLE AND LIKE. BARELY CONVERSATIONAL COMMON#HES A FUCKING TODDLER#TODDLERS ARE OVERBEARING AND ANNOYING AND ALL AROUND A LOT#and god don't even get me started with Ashton#caduceus is my favorite critrole character ever#followed by caleb and laudna#but ashton is clawing for that fourth spot bro#as a nby queer punk with minor chronic pain and a lot of pent up rage and a healthy dose of trauma#he means a lot to me#he's missing a key part of his backstory and finally finds a single thread of that story with orym so ofc he follows bells hells for it#they're desperate to know more about themself and this is the way to that#they grew up with delinquents (who later ditched them in another traumatic event) in a rough place and do questionable things for resources#then got borderline groomed by a powerful figure who demanded he stay and do her bidding otherwise she'd like. fucking Sue them or some shit#and only got out of that contract with bells hells who are now a new powerful informative group they run with#but it's still NEW and they're SCARED it's all gonna leave again#because they're not used to having things#so they say the wrong things and they fuck up bc there's a part of them that wants to get this over with#and make the hells leave so they can't get even more attached#he wants them to hate him but they love him and he can't understand that#ashton greymoore#mollymauk tealeaf#critical role

FINAL FANTASY XV MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME ACTUALLY !! i know i never talk about it but it. means everything to me. ffxiv is everything to me and special to me in a way ffxv is not but ffxv is special to me as well in a way ffxiv is not and i think it's beautiful that the many things that 'mean everything to me' are special to me in different, beautiful, varying ways. so, happy 6th anniversary to a flawed but nevertheless beautiful game that means the world to me!!

#mind over matter and all that#i rly am losing hope of them ever streaming how they used to#for the whole year they haven't and i hoped it was the preparing/feeling down from the visa situation#but this might just be how they wanna be now cus they don't need the money or anything#it has been a month now after all#they had all kinds of plans for comtent and none of it seems to be happening#but at the same time this is a huge change and they traveled and all so maybe they're burned out for a bit#but i always kinda feared that even after the meetup they still won't make any content#so far that's proven true#maybe once they get used to things they'll really get excited for content again!#there is still some hope it's just after like a year y'know... feels kinda hopeless#but the move and the face reveal and the la trip were all massive things they might wanna just wind down from for a bit#i just rly rly wish they would stream casually again cus that's my favorite But they don't seem interested in doing that anymore#and if it's not fun for them anymore then they shouldn't force themselves ofc it's just sad#we'll just have to see what the future holds and what kind of content they'll end up making & how much#the past year so many fans have left and lost interest because there just hasn't been enough content#but they're big enough that it doesn't matter at this point#still at this rate the engagement will just keep dropping#i was hoping for a new boom after the meetup but nope...#but perhaps they're winding down and will give us the content boom for the high viewer holiday season!!#hopefully!!#anyway this was a sad ramble i am just sad it's been too long i am sorry#sheepy ask#Anonymous

just watched the two ninja turtles live action movies (the 2014/2016 ones) and why are they so much better than i remembered???
#i absolutely loved it#only thing i had to complain is the unnecessary jokes towards april n the whole thing with mikey flirting with her#idk that was weird#bc like they're practically siblings?? since her father created them#but besides that i love those movies#unfortunately netflix only has the second one so i had to watch that first#whats up with netflix and having the second movie but almost never having the first one#same thing with the sonic movies#i remember the first one being on netflix but then i disappeared#okay but now im just going off topic#idk how the fandom feels about these two movies but yeah i really enjoyedthem#and ofc donnie is my favorite as always#love how silly he is#bat talks
