ok since kellie posted her fancam i thought i’d finally stop being lazy and do the same too :’)
i mentioned this a little bit before but earlier this month, i was lucky enough to get tickets to see nct 127 at the apple music event in la and was able to see them perform! this was by far one of the most amazing and intimate experiences i’ve ever been able to be apart of and being able to see nct 127 doing what they do best together is something i’m going to cherish in my heart for a very long time! here is the link to the full playlist of all their performances!!
underneath the cut will be a much more detailed and in depth account of everything that happened at the event if anyone is interested in reading more about it! ♡
ok hello if there are people who actually decided to keep reading thank u so much and buckle up bc u are in for a riiiiiiiiiide (ridin on that VAAaaaaAAAAan, KEEP dRIVINGGGggGGG) ok anyways! HERE WE GO!
[ ! ] btw the first part is just me talking about everything that happened before the concert so pls feel free to just skip to the last paragraph instead LOL
so when news came out that nct 127 was going to be coming back to the u.s. and perform on jimmy kimmel and that tickets were FREE, my friends and i hi kellie, hi tracey all tried to get some tickets for both the taping and the concert and was able to make it on the waitlist! i don’t live in california but both of my friends do so i told them that if any of us got confirmed tickets, i’d be flying over there for the weekend to attend the show! it’s kind of all a blur now bc the only thing i can remember within that week was stressing out so hard over tickets because the way the whole thing was set up was just SO STRESSFUL because despite being on the waitlist, there is no 100% guarantee that you’d get tickets and they start giving out tickets to people from within a week before the taping to the day of the actual event so really, it was just one massive waiting game. but a week went by and none of us saw any signs of getting tickets and flight ticket prices kept fluctuating for me so i just went ahead and booked my flight anyways without a confirmed ticket pls don’t ever do this omfg please please PLEASE don’t ever do this!!! and PRAYED that one of us would be able to get tickets ;; a few days went by and then nct kept releasing more news and how they’d be performing at mickey mouse’s 90th birthday celebration so tickets for that were also available too and once again, we made it on the waitlist!!! and played not one but now two (2) waiting games!!!! :-)))
honestly i rly don’t remember much that happened during this small time frame bc i was so stressed and anxious over these tickets that it rly took a toll on me physically and mentally LOL but yeah so on wednesday the 3rd, nct 127 posted on their instagram about how they’d be having a special performance partnered with apple music and i was about to start my math exam but the moment i read their post, i ran to the bathroom faster than i’ve ever ran before and of course, i requested tickets and made it on the waitlist again!!!! SO NOW IN TOTAL, IT WAS NOT ONE, BUT THREE (3) WAITING GAMES!!! GAMES THAT I WAS STARTING TO GET SICK OF PLAYING!!! anyways yeah so basically my friends and i made it onto all 3 waiting lists and at this point we really just wanted to be able to make it to at least one event ;;;
fast forward to friday, aka 1 day before mickey mouse and 3 days before kimmel and apple music and also the day my flight leaves for la!!! my friends and i all got a big fat no from mickey mouse saying they wouldn’t be able to accommodate our ticket requests bc they were full so we we re like ok!!! whatevs!!! we still have kimmel and apple to try for!!! so here i am… at the airport… getting ready to leave with no!!! confirmed!!! ticket!!! my flight was quite early in the morning so i was at the airport overnight and it was like around 11:30pm when i was doing homework and i got a notification on my phone… thinking it was just some random notification when in reality, I GOT MY CONFIRMED TICKET FOR THE APPLE MUSIC EVENT :’) it’s a blur to me bc it happened so fast and so suddenly but all i remember was that my jaw literally dropped for the longest time and my hands were shaking so badly bc i cOULDN’T BELIEVE IT??? i wasn’t able to sleep that entire night nor was i able to sleep on the plane from all the adrenaline so that saturday really was an interesting day for me LOL anywho i made it to la safe and sound and spent saturday and sunday hanging out with my friends while we prepared for monday :’)
ok so then despite getting tickets, we had no idea where the location of this event was going to be bc 1iota (the event organizer) wasn’t going to release the information until 10am monday morning and we were planning on waiting in line like early early to get a good spot so we had to be ready and out of the house by 9am!!! bUT WAIT!!! 9am was also when the english version of the mv was going to be released so me and kellie were both !!! bc we wanted to gif the mv so bad!!! so now at this point it’s like 7am and we’re all like half awake trying frantically to get ready and i’m over here trying to stream nct on the radio and listen to the world release of regular eng ver and then somewhere in between all of this, both kellie and tracey ended up getting their emails for confirmed tickets too??? so yeah at this point all three of us are running around like crazy ppl bc we weren’t expecting all of us to go but now all 3 of us get to go!!! so yeah i brought my laptop with me and tried to gif in the car but the connection from my hotspot was so slow so i just sat and cried instead :-) ALSO!!! remember how information about the location was supposed to be released at 10am? yeah well they changed it on us again!!! they delayed it to 2pm so at this point me and kellie rly wanted to d*e bc we did all of that rushing for nothing omfg but fast forward to 2pm, they released the information for the location and since we were already in the hollywood area we went there right away so when we lined up, we were like number 10 in line!!! :D
i wasn’t able to eat at all that entire day just bc i was so stressed and so nervous from everything that the hunger didn’t hit me til like 20 mins before the actual event omg ;;;; i remember saying “omg i’m so hungry” and the girl beside me was like “well sweetie, you’re about to be fed real good rn” and i just died laughing oh my god but yeah i had a priority ticket so i was let in around 7:30pm-ish and the event started at 8! i got barricade again just like last time at kcon ny, my view was reeeeeeally good!! ! i would say even better than kcon’s even tho i was front and center for kcon ;;; back when we were in line, the event organizers kept asking us how we were doing and each time i would tell them that i was super nervous and they’d ask why and i would explain that i just get super nervous before seeing nct omg it’s really true tho idk what it is but i just feel so QUEASY before seeing them… like the fact that you go from seeing them from your screen to seeing them in front of you is just a very STRANGE FEELING FOR ME OK but they kept repeating how we were all going to have a good time and that the space inside was super small so it’s going to be nice and intimate with them and they said how no matter what spot you get, you’re still going to be super close to them… one of the staff members was like “you’re going to be so close to them they’re going to sweat on you” AND GOD THIS JUST MADE ME EVEN MORE NERVOUS KASDJKSAJDKAJDKA
OK ANYWAYS ENOUGH OF THAT, ONTO THE ACTUAL CONCERT! when we got in, the event was actually on a rooftop and so the scenery behind the stage was just soooooo pretty and then they had a playlist of their songs playing in the bg and it was just really nice to listen and enjoy while we waited for them to come out :’) the members kept hiding behind this door and some of them started waving and they were all teasing us so hard bc the moment we saw someone there, we would all start screaming and they just wouldn’t stop :’) then they finally played the apple music documentary video for us and i just remember all of us screaming a lot LOL but then the lights went off again and then we all watched them walk onto the stage one by one and oh my GOD the wait for them to finally start just felt like forever and then next thing i know, the sirens went off and all i hear is “GET IT LIFTED” and then firetruck started omg i was trying to get jaehyun’s attention but then mr. nakamoto yuta… YUTA… looked over on our side and me and him made eye contact for a good solid 3 seconds and i just about lost my shit omg… HE IS SO INSANELY GORGEOUS IN REAL LIFE I WAS RLY GOIN THRU IT… JAEHYUN WHO??? AND THEN HAECHAN OMG… haechan came over to our side like 75% of the time and he is the cutest, most adorable person on this planet!!! he was always smiling and waving and i really can’t think of anything else to describe him other than the sun bc he quite literally was shining that night!!! i think it was halfway through firetruck that we started to realize that the stage was like… a little slippery??? but it wasn’t until limitless started where we really noticed the members starting to slip and stumble here and there ;; also there’s this one part where jaehyun went up super close to me during limitless and i about died… i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again but even after seeing him irl, HE IS SO HANDSOME IT’S UNREAL… HIS VISUALS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD I CAN’T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD but yeah the staff members would go on stage after each song to try their best to dry the stage but for some reason that wasn’t enough ;; i have no idea why the stage was so slippery but my guess was that it was pretty cool up on the rooftop and with the amount of people there, there was so much body heat in the air and then that mixed with the cool air = condensation??? i also think the shoes the members were wearing had like absolutely no friction at the bottom so it made them slip even more ;; they were also using a fog machine too but idk if that was actually the reason why the stage was so slipper omg but yeah after firetruck, they performed limitless and then they had a small ment here and mark talked about how it was a very special day for them (bc they just came straight from performing at jimmy kimmel too) and then johnny screamed something along the words of being apple music’s next up next artist and he was just so happy!!!! and then mark said that they’ve got october all to themselves and they were so happy to be able to be here with all of the fans! jaehyun also said that the place was so wonderful and said all the fans there were so wonderful and johnny came in to say that they had rehearsals the night before but being there with all the fans, it was a totally different feeling ;~; after that they performed touch and then when it came to cherry bomb (OT10 VER WITH JUNGWOO BTW), this was when things started to look a little :/// bc taeyong had already fell back during touch and at this point i was already beyond worried bc i would rather have them stop the whole thing all together rather than have them risk getting injured just to perform for us??? i shouted so many times to “be careful” in both korean and english T________T IT WAS LIKE THE DREAM CONCERT ALL OVER AGAIN WHEN THEY PERFORMED IN THE RAIN not to mention they had comeback promotions to do once they back to korea too so i rly just wanted them to stop ;;; i also think the members were all starting to get a little discouraged from all the slipping and stumbling during each performance and it kinda just looked like they were all really sad that they couldn’t put on a perfect performance ;; at this point the stage was soooooo slippery and i think they were more focused on not falling rather than performing and my heart rly just was in pieces ;;; taeyong fell again in cherry bomb during the leg split dance and it looked so painful oh my god i was just so WORRIED and i wanted it all to stop so bad ;~; but after cherry bomb ended, i think the members went back down to talk to the staff and then they came back up with different shoes! but finally!!! alas, they performed regular!!! since they switched shoes, the performance went pretty smoothly so i felt a little at ease! taeil, doyoung and mark were still wearing their original shoes so there were a few times when they slipped a little but thank god none of them actually fell ;; despite the song being a released earlier that morning, a lot of the fans did really well in learning the fanchants and singing along with the boys so i think it really helped in boosting the members’ confidence after the prior performances ;; there was a small ment here and doyoung talked and johnny translated it saying how basically the members felt really apologetic that they couldn’t put on good performances bc of the slippery stage and i was yelling with all the energy i had left in my that it was ok!!! that they were doing amazing and that they shouldn’t feel sorry!!! IT WAS KILLING ME INSIDE THAT THEY FELT THIS ASKDJKASDJAKJSDKD I WANTED TO ACTUALLY D*E but then they promised they’d come back to show an even better performance and doyoung held up his lil pinky!!! and then johnny asked how taeyong was doing and he answered back “i’m okay!!!” IN THE CUTEST WAY POSSIBLE… I JUST WANTED TO GIVE HIM ONE BIG FAT HUG T________________T and then taeyong said the last mission they had left was to take a picture with the fans and took out the selfie stick to take a picture with everyone! it was so cute TwT
but yeah, overall the whole experience was really really amazing minus the slippery stage and for the most part, i was really impressed with how organized 1iota was! i’m really grateful i got to be apart of it and it still feels like a dream that i got to attend the event and see them perform and promote their new album here in america!!! they were amazing performers and did so well despite everything! i was really really proud of them ;; anyways, thank you to everyone that made it this far!!! i hope you enjoyed this fan account! i know it’s a super long post but if i don’t write it all out now while it’s still somewhat fresh in my mind, i’m going to forget it by the end of the month so i hope you all understand! thank you so much! ♡

How to Go Viral On TikTok -  (Podcast Episode Included)
Tumblr media
In this blog post I go over my experience with TikTok, going viral, and why I think TikTok is THE platform to be on right now! Feel free to read my blog post, or you can listen to this topic via my podcast Keep Up Radio, on SoundCloud or Spotify. (Apple music/Apple Podcast coming soon!)
Going viral. It’s something every social media marketer or digital marketer hopes to achieve. It’s even something the average social media user may want to do or think is cool to do. Why is that? From a business standpoint, It’s cool to go viral because that means your content is being pushed out for you by the masses which means more views and potentially new audience members. But from a business standpoint, the real achievement is when you can get your posts to go viral in some kind of consistent manner because that would mean you’ve truly built up a loyal following which creates more opportunities to get your audience to convert into customers. For the average social media user, going viral is cool because it’s an exciting topic of discussion. It also makes one feel as though they are relatable, maybe funny depending on the content, but most importantly they feel recognized by the masses which isn’t always an opportunity one is granted.
Don’t Be Shy! Follow me on Instagram and TikTok!
Before I dive into my viral post story, let me start off by talking about who I am a little bit. Hi! I’m Whitney! On social media you can find me as @KeepUpWhitMe and I’m a former digital marketer and social media specialist. I still am fascinated by social media marketing and it often occupies my free time when I’m not working my full-time job, and that's just the way I like it! I love learning about the inner workings of social media. I’m currently 23, so most social media platforms have been in existence since I discovered my passion for digital marketing. But a unique situation arose for me when TIkTok came on the scene. It was the first time I was able to hop on a platform and try to use my social media knowledge to become popular on a platform. It’s a goal I’m actively working towards, but recently I was able to achieve that sweet sweet moment of going viral on TikTok.
I’ve experienced having a post go viral in the past on Twitter, after having a meme related to the Kardashians achieve 10k likes and 2k retweets, as well as a few news article features in places like Buzzfeed, Marie Claire, USA Today, and Hip Hop Wired. However, my TikTok experience was a new level of viral that I truly DID NOT expect to happen.
On TikTok my post was able to achieve 295k views, 66.3k likes, and 700 shares and it’s STILL being shared. INSANE!!!! So here are a few things I learned:
(NOTE: This episode was set to go live last week, but because of the events going on in the world, it did not feel like the right time to post. To date my TikTok now has 383k views, 82.5k likes, and 892 shares.)
1. Sometimes The Least Amount of Effort Generates The Most Results. Why? Because It’s Relatable and Authentic.
I’ve been on TikTok since 2019, and while I could see the opportunities to organically grow on TikTok, I was extremely busy and didn’t have the mental space to fully give it a try. Since making a few life changes I found myself more willing and mentally capable to hop on TikTok full force in 2020. I became very serious when I finally ordered the infamous ring light in April of 2020. My TikTok went viral on May 11th, 2020. Since January I had been trying tons of different approaches to no avail. But there was a reason for that. I had bad lighting, my camera wasn’t super clear, and I was still learning the norms of TikTok. The most likes I got on a post initially, not counting my attempts back in 2019 where I had two posts get a few 100 likes, was around 13 likes. Once I began to learn how TikTok works, and how the sounds you use can influence whether your post is pushed out into the algorithm, I was able to achieve a post with 38 likes in March of 2020. Flash forward to the week of my viral post, and I’ve got TikTok down for the most part. My lighting is good, I’m engaging with every comment I get, and I’m putting in work whether it be dancing to the latest song or trying to be funny. Now I had posts that were hitting the 40 like and 50 like marks. Amazing. On the morning of May 11th, around 7AM, I was feeling happy and refreshed so I decided to try and make a few comedic TikToks before hopping online for work. While my lighting was good, the effort I put in was extremely minimal compared to the TIkToks I had been posting.
I created a free TikTok strategy group on Facebook! Join our group if you want to ask questions about TikTok, share how you are killing it on TikTok, or submit your TikTok post if you want the group to show it some love!
No makeup, no choreography to learn, just me using a sound that was trending on TIkTok in conjunction with a tweet I had made. I post it and go about my day. Next thing I know I have hundreds of likes, COOL! I’m excited because I can tell this will be an all-time high for me. I continue to go about my day and check back, now I have five hundred likes. Definitely a new high...I wonder how far it will go. By the end of the day I had a few thousand. I remember thinking to myself...If I hit 10k likes that would be really cool and I’d deem this a success. I wake up the next morning and I have 10k likes. AWESOME!!! Now it’s all gravy and I’m thinking it will probably begin to slow down soon...but it didn’t. It continues to gather likes, comments and shares throughout the week and it is still growing even today as I write this on May 28th, 2020. While I now consider the post a success, I would feel amazing if this post became the 2nd most viewed video for the sound I used. On TikTok you can look at all the posts that have used a given sound, and they are in the order of most engagement, excluding the creator of the sound who always gets the first slot no matter how many likes they have. I am currently the third most liked video for the sound I used. I say I want the second slot because the first slot is held by a media company owned by Bella Thorne, and she has a little bit more of a platform than me, so in this case, I’m fine with second place.
Wanna ask me a question? Submit a topic for me to discuss? Just wanna say hi? Click here!
All that to say, sometimes the post that is truly funny and/or relatable can get the most likes. I think right now on social media we are craving authenticity and realness. The inner workings of social media marketing and digital marketing are beginning to trickle down to the knowledge set of the average person. That extremely polished photo looks like all the other photos with custom presets and good lighting. Anyone can take a pretty picture now. But not everyone is willing to be their true and authentic self.
2. On TikTok, Going Viral Will Get You Followers
The effects of going viral on a given platform are unique to the platform in which you go viral on. If you go viral on Twitter or Facebook, that doesn’t necessarily mean you will gain followers. We are very stingy with our follows. Likes we can give out, but a follow? Oof, you gotta work for that one. When it comes to follows on Instagram I personally think it depends on how your profile is setup. In my opinion, if you are the average social media user and your post goes viral, you could get a few followers. But in my experience, having more of a curated and established feed will be more successful in that viral post resulting in more followers. Having a curated feed communicates that you are not the average social media user when it comes to social. You communicate that if one follows, they can expect consistent content that probably is similar to the post that went viral.
When it comes to TikTok a viral post can result in you getting followers, even if you are the average social media user right now. In my research, I’ve seen that many people have that post go viral and then after that you can tell they are trying to be a little bit more serious with their TIkToking. But I’ve also seen people have a post go viral, and they still are getting followers even if they don’t have the most polished TikTok of them all. I believe this goes back to the point I mentioned above that being real and authentic is a valid way to become a micro-influencer, especially on TIkTok right now.
3. Sometimes People Will Steal Your Meme To Get Their Own Clout, But That Means You’re Doing Something Right. TikTok Is A Pioneer In The Social Media Space When It Comes To Giving Credit To A Creators Work
With the meme fueled society we live in today, it’s actually very hard to get credit for a meme. People will do things like put a watermark on their meme, but if you’re the average social media user, you aren’t really thinking in that mindset. Your post could pop off and get re-shared hundreds of thousands of times and most of the people who reshare will not have a clue who you are. And the people who see the meme won’t know how to find the creator.
My TIkTok post that went viral was copied by another TikToker word for word, and their post gathered around 4,000 likes. At first I was a little mad but I know deep down that if someone is copying my work, that means I’m doing something right.
TikTok is actively breaking down the walls when it comes to giving creators credit and I applaud them for it. I mentioned earlier how the creator of a TikTok sound is always the first video to display no matter how many likes it has. This is just one example. Another example would be how every time a video is downloaded, TikTok automatically applies a watermark on the corners of the video so that people know where to find the original video, and who created it. They also have an optional additional watermark page that you can toggle on to display at the end of every video as well.
It has also become a kind of common courtesy to always give credit if you create a TikTok because you were influenced by another TikTok creator. TikTokes are always making sure to include the DC or “Dance Captain” in their video caption if they’re doing a dance video on TikTok. Some of the top TikTokers like Charli D'amelio and Addison Rae have come under fire for posting videos without giving credit to the creator. After an incident with the popular TikTok dance Renegade, now you will always find a DC label under these TikTok champions’ videos. If they don’t know who it is, they ask their loyal followers to tag the DC/creator in the comments for them.
TikTok is one of the fastest growing social media platforms and it has been that way for some time now. I urge you to give it a try because a beauty I find within TIkTok is that you don’t have to just do one thing and stick with that to go viral. Every post you post has an equal opportunity to go viral right now and there are so many areas and so much room for new creators. If you would like to chat more with me about TikTok strategy, or social media marketing strategy, or anything at all really, feel free to message me on any platform or email me.

The 5th and Final Subwoofers Post: It's finally over!
Tumblr media
Welcome to my fifth and final blog post about Subwoofers, the family, dog and deaf friendly music festival my course so wonderfully put together on Sunday the 6th of May 2018 in co-ordination with the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity. To say that we smashed it out of the park is an understatement but with all the highs came lows and areas that are eagerly waiting for improvement within next year’s event, this blog post will cover it all from my perspective.
With 7 months to prep for the day came many disagreements whether that was about what acts, rides, food and even name we would use for the event, to get up to date with all the ins and outs of the event check out my previous 4 blogs on Subwoofers to read all about the past 7 months prior to the big day.
2 days after the event we held a debrief meeting which is when we learnt that the whole course had very similar views on areas of the event that had major room for improvement, I will be linking in the sections which relate to my experience within this post.
8:00am May 6th, 2018 my alarm rang, honestly it was a wonderful lie in I am very grateful for compared to the 5:00am start for Winterland the previous year. I made my way to the bus stop to be greeted by Femke and her sun cream which was a lovely thing, if I had a penny for the amount of times someone asked me if I wanted sun cream that day, honestly, I think I could quite frankly quit the course and go live off the wealth for the rest of my life.
At 9:30am we were off and heading to site to join the first group full of logistic and production members who had been there since 7:30am. I am not going to beat around the bush, but I was not too excited for the event at this point, maybe it was the fact today despite being the big day also meant it was over and I think a part of me is still sad about it being done and dusted, relieved but sad nonetheless, however as soon as I stepped on site the excitement hit me like a brick to the face.
The morning started with us all being given roles and heading out on site to erect some gazebos and marquees, which I am not going to lie this was a little bit more complicated than the average joe may think. This was the first load of team work I was involved in for the day and I think it was some of the best team work I’ve seen in the whole 7 months of work. Whether it was the amazing weather or something in the air, everyone was a ray of sunshine and despite in my opinion there being a slight divide between the music business students and us in the live course throughout the whole build up, I felt it was the first day this whole year where there was no divide at all, we all got on happy as Larry and worked our buts off to be ready for 1pm, our opening time.
Here I will point out some areas of improvement that I feel need to be re-evaluated for next year’s event. Firstly have everyone on site for 7am, not just certain teams as it was shown this year that having the other half of the course there 3 hours later had a major impact on our schedule when being ready to open to the public at 1pm. Secondly, I would make the jobs that need doing the morning of the event clearer and give people certain tasks to complete, despite this seeming a bit time consuming in the lead up I feel It would be majorly beneficial on the day to make sure the site is able to be 100% ready to open on time. It would also prevent people floating around being unsure what they should be doing.
Being a member of the marketing team, I heard some people prior to the event think we could have done a better job, in all fairness I agree, I think especially within the social media team we could have gained a wider crowd through more videos with the artists that would be performing on the day. Create a wider variety of clips of the acts other than re-using those on our doorstep like Dan the Guitarist and Acapella as Subwoofers had so much more to offer. Also, I do not feel we took advantage of the site enough, people love a cute dog and we did not really use that to our advantage as much as we should have. Flyering is another area I think we should have worked on collectively, going to local events during the lead up like Wycombe Wanderers games, local gigs and even shop windows and schools should have been on the priority list. I was a big fan of the timetable that was made by Alan our course leader, it was the only schedule for flyering that was followed to a t, even if it was a bit late in the day, it is definitely an idea for next year to have someone of higher authority like your lecturer to make the timetable as people are more likely going to follow it, like we have learnt here.
However, despite the room for improvement, with there being a queue out into the car park 10 minutes before doors opened that’s when I became super proud of what we had achieved, and all efforts that were not made went out the window. To have sold 1,000 tickets prior and 2,500 on the door is insane and nobody saw that coming. Despite it not being the 6,000-capacity sold out show we had hoped for back in September, with being a bit slow on the socials within the first few months and the strong effort coming into play a bit later than liked I think we are very lucky with the outcome we had, and I believe the big banners hung on round abouts and main roads are a big thanks to pay. I will give some credit to the weather too, that had a massive help in hand.
With 1pm on our heels the masses were flooding in and the music had begun. It took me about 30 minutes to really get my head in the game, it still seemed unreal, an improvement I would make in regard to that is to make a plan, this is something we lacked in the social media team, we had forgotten to make a plan, and that left myself and the other social media member to essentially be floating around capturing whatever we saw. This leads me onto communication within the teams, marketing and talent should have had a much better relationship, the event was classed as a music festival yet those promoting it were oblivious to the schedule and so were those in the talent team, only a fair few seemed to know who was on and when which made it very confusing when making sure you were promoting the correct talent acts on the social media pages. Having up to date stage times next to the stages would have been a blessing, something for next year’s group to definitely take on board as it would allow the event to be seen more professional on screen as unfortunately due to this miscommunication we Instagram lived a certain act naming them after someone else, a major rooky error.
Despite our minor hiccup we miraculously had no negative comments on the social media pages, whether that be on the day of the event or after which is a great achievement and something I think the whole team should be proud off, no incidents, no threats, nothing in my opinion went drastically wrong.
6 hours has never gone so fast, and despite a few slips in that time for example did the face painter even show? that is something we will never knew the answer to for sure, with the last hour finally drawing into a close came many relaxed shoulders and a time for a little fun for some of us, we could not really recommend the rides to the customers if we had not tried them out for ourselves, surely. Despite having one of the best days so far going on the Miami trip and bumper cars with my fellow hard workers was so much fun and a much-needed last spur for us to break down the site for the day once everyone had left.
Tumblr media
Whilst Ska Souls serenaded the crowd with one last song it was wonderful to see everyone dancing but sad to see it was over so quickly, our 7 months of work gone in the space of 6 hours.
I say this every time, but it amazes me how incredibly fast it is to take everything down, the fencing, box office, signage however the deck chairs I’m not so sure. I have never seen so many students try and pack away 300 deck chairs into a van so awkwardly it was painful but we did it, like we did the event, despite a month ago the event looking like a right shambles I think the day itself did it justice. When packing away, from my view point there was jobs clearly given out to everyone which worked amazingly and was a true vision of how team work should be, I believe if the morning roles were as clearly given out we would have been more prepared upon opening but that was just down to time management and there was not much time left to spare in the few hour leading up to the doors opening.
Once we were pretty much packed away we discovered all food traders but one had completely sold out which was wonderful to hear and proof that people stuck around to quite literally eat us out of house and home.
Getting on the bus and heading back to Wycombe at 9pm that night was sad as it meant it was nearly over but to wake up and read the incredibly kind reviews left by our customers and the press that attended was amazing. to discover that it was not just our big heads who were still buzzing from the day but those who attended was a great reassurance we had pulled it off.
Due to our fantastic efforts, like with Winterland the hearing dogs have confirmed there will be a second year of Subwoofers which means our hard work did pay off, despite it being a very stressful few months, to watch everyone have an amazing time on the day, customer or staff made it worth while, to next years team good luck you are going to need it, just be ahead of the ball, please!
A brief reflection on my role: I will forever be grateful to our course leader Alan for moving me to the marketing team midway through the year as I had an absolute blast and the most enjoyable time leading up to the event as well as on the day going round and being able to capture the fun and liveliness of the event. Working with the social media pages was something I had never done before and I realised it is a major interest of mine as I found so much enjoyment from it these past 5 months.

How I loose an insane amount of weight by Fasting 7 Days
For the past 6 months I have been training my body to burn fat for energy. Our bodies  were designed to store energy in the form of Fat. Learning how to burn your fat for energy means you can be any weight you desire and maintain that weight relatively easy. Intermittent fasting is the tool to teach you this skill. Your body already know’s how. The links at the end of this post has Youtube videos Intermittent Fasting for weight Loss w/ Jason Fung, MD – Dr. Jason Fung discusses how fasting change’s your hormones, enhances fat loss and why it doesn’t lead to muscle loss. He is an expert in Intermittent Fasting for weight Loss How to Maximize Fat Burning Dr Jason Fung Part II
This blog post is about my experiment Fasting to lose weight.  PLEASE do not try this if you have a medical condition. Consulting a physician or watch some of Dr. Jason Fung’s Youtube videos to understand the principles and preparation needed.
Many athletes and celebrities use intermittent fasting for weight loss TERRY CREWS ON INTERMITTENT FASTING
This Blog posting is dedicated to ladies who will be getting married soon and wants to look their best on that special day. As well as anyone who has tried many diets that has failed or you are dreaming of accomplishing a task or a special job but your weight is preventing you from reaching your goal.
I am taking things to the next level in weight loss. If you are Driving from New York to Miami the highway is faster. Fasting is the highway. Intermittent Fasting is the city street.
The main ingredients are (1. learning Intermittent fasting, 2. Exercise, 3. Healthy Eating habits.) Your ideal weight can be achieved with intermittent fasting alone. However, I believe a good exercise regiment will create a strong muscular system.
Fasting – No Food, Only Water and once per day add Salt to water. Fasting has been used for thousands of years it a Proven technique even Jesus did it for 40 Days.
My reasons for wanting to reduce my body weight are: 1. I want to live to over 100 years old. I am using the latest and safest techniques to rejuvenate my body starting at the cellular level. I am also re-cycling the fat gained over 30 years, some from questionable sources. I will replace it with 20% body fat from high quality source.  2. I love to run. When sprinting your explosive start generates forces in excess of 4 times your body weight. The problem is once you are over the age 40 your muscle strength is reduced. I am now 53 years old. Over the past 6 years every time I get is shape I end up getting injured always caused by muscle weakness. Reducing my body weight means less weight for my muscle and a more enjoyable long run on Sundays. My Goal at the beginning of this challenge was a 3 Days of Fasting. After day three of fasting I revised my goal to 7 days with a Target weight of 160 LBS or LOOSING 16 POUNDS IN 7 DAYS. This would be a body mass index (BMI) of 24. I am 5 ft 10 1/2 inches. My weight went up to 176 lbs over the Holiday’s from  a stable 173 lbs.
My goal is perfect health or as close to perfect as possible and maintain A lean fit body FREE of all medication.
Did you know it is easier to run a Fast 5K or 10K  with a BMI of 19 – 20 and 1 pound of water in your stomach than to run the same distant with 50 lbs of fat on your body!  Marathon runners typically have a BMI of 19 – 20. See BMI table  bmi_tbl
Start of Challenge – Fasting started Saturday 12/9/2017 at 7:PM 176 lbs
Sunday Morning  while doing my 1 hour cycle on a stationary bicycle. I watched a Youtube video Intermittent Fasting for weight Loss with DR. Jason Fung, MD. Since I had been doing Intermittent Fasting for the past 6 months. I decided at that moment I would do a 3 day fast or 72 hour fasting while doing all my usual daily activity.  I had been preparing my body for this for 6 months.
My preparation : There are 24 hours in a day. I choose to eat only 8 hours between 11:00 AM to 7 PM each day. I fast 16 to 18 hours each day from 7 PM until 11 AM or some times 1 PM with only water. I do my workout in the morning while fasting, gradually my body starts burning fat for energy before I eat each day.
12/10/2017 Sunday 7AM (12 hrs or 1/2 day Fasting) My weight 176. – Exercise Workout 1 hr cycle plus 45 Minutes running (Hill Training) Then I go to work.  I am a realtor in Miami FL. Or more exactly Kendall FL Realtor. Today my work load includes
1. Final closing inspection for my listing after 59 days the lender is finally ready to close. 2. Show rental property to my client and end the day my submitting an offer for rental.
The point here is with Fasting you can do everything you usually do. You will have more energy and an unlimited supply of food already stored in your body. AS LONG AS THERE IS FAT ON YOUR BODY YOU CAN CONTINUE.
Many animals eat to get fat before winter, then they hibernate or just hide in there cave all winter without eating. In the spring they emerge eat some leaves to break their fast and let the hunting for food begin.  I am happy to inform you that! Our bodies are exactly the same. The medical experts & doctors should be all lined up and shot in front of a firing squad for not telling us and teaching us that if you want to loose weight JUST DO NOT EAT ANYTHING.
When  we eat our bodies store sugar in our liver for energy. The problem is our liver is like our refrigerator it is limited. Our liver can store about 24 hour supply of energy.  The solution is all the excess is converted to fat. The great news is our bodies can store  an unlimited supply of fat. If you have some medical issue you may need medical supervision while fasting. (So lets not shoot the doctors as yet. Let just say it a part of their big plan of making money from over weight and obesity) Our bodies have the cure for obesity, and it is FREE. Why don’t we use it, is the question?
12/11/2017 Monday 7 AM (36 hrs or 1 +1/2 day Fasting I Lost 2 Lbs ) Weight 174 Rest day – Sit ups, Push up, stretching and lunges – basically floor exercises no strain just relaxing. Next I need to work. My closing is delayed a few hours. The lender wants to do a final quality control before sending the title company the closing information. Both buyer and seller have requested time off from work for a 11:00 AM closing. The Title company informed us it may be 3:00 PM. As soon as they have a confirmation from the lender they will contact us. The life of a Realtor is complicated you could be the best Miami FL listing agent or the Top rated real estate agent in Kendall and your deal dies on the day of closing. There is no guarantee that you will get paid for your work. Fasting gives you more hours in the day to do what ever you like. No need to prepare meals or eat meals you could gain at least 2 hours
12/12/2017 Tuesday 7 AM (60 hrs or 2 +1/2 days Fasting I Lost 5.5 Lbs ) Weight  170.5 or BMI of 24. Today is a training day. I first drink 32 ounces of water followed by 16 ounces of hot tea before workout only hot water with ginger flavor. Total 48 ounces.
Before my wife leaves for work her advice was: Please do not faint while doing your workout. This is the first time I have fasted this long so she was concerned. My reply was do not worry I drank my usual 3 pounds of liquid, so I am fully hydrated.
My workout 1 hr cycle + 45 Minutes hill running . My weight was 169.0 at the end. This shows I did not replace all liquids lost during the workout. I know I burned some fat for energy during the workout which could account for the 1.5 lbs, but I doubt it. I think I need more water. I have not eaten in over 60 hours. It is imperative that I keep adding fluid to keep my weight above what I weigh when I first wake up in the morning. For this experiment to work I need to drink water constantly all day long and keep my body fully hydrated.
After my work out I went to work : 1. I visited the Title company to pick up my commission check. Once the check is in my hands I can say the home is sold. “Hallelujah” In the real estate business the file/buyer could fail final review and kill the deal on closing day.  2. I made multiple appointments for other realtors who wanted to show my Listings. 3. Followed up with potential landlord who wanted to rent their home in Kendall. 4. Made appointments for realtors to show my listings in Kendall Gate, Kendale Lake & West Kendall. With fasting you can do all you normal activities. Your body has all the stored fat for the energy you need.
While visiting my office today my broker asked have you lost weight? Are you training for a marathon? My answer was remember I am a sprinter. I run the shot races. I am training for a long distance. I am also working on a special plan. I write it all in my blog. I promise to tell you all about it. PS. My weight for the day was 169 lbs
12/12/2017 Tuesday 7: PM (72 hrs or 3 days Fasting 169 lbs ) This experiment was originally planed for 3 days or 72 hours. That time has come and gone. I feel normal just like any other day. I am fully energized I have not felt hunger in the past 3 days. (3 days without eating any food or liquid nourishment only Water). Today I honestly feel I could do this fasting for 40 days and be very comfortable. The only problem is I do not think I have enough fat in my body to burn for all those day plus doing physical training workout.
12/13/2017  Wednesday 7: AM (84 hrs or 3 +1/2 days Fasting I Lost 7.5 Lbs )  Weight 168.5 – Rest day : My resting workout for today is 3 minutes of continuous Planking in the morning and 3 minutes in evening plus sit ups.  For work I had to visit a new listing to take interior pictures as well as followup with customers most of it was on the phone. This year I sold less homes than last year. But, One thing I can say for this year I sold all my Miami FL listings. NONE of my Miami listings expired this year. It is approaching the end of the year and I am sure I will have a BRAND NEW BODY for the new year. Fasting is great!
12/14/2017  Thursday 7: AM (108 hrs or 4 +1/2 day Fasting I Lost 10.5 Lbs ) Weight 165.5   Today I had a hard workout lasting 3 hrs : 1 hour cycle to warm up I covered 19.67 Miles. That was a little too fast for a warm up. The reason is I am so excited and just can’t hide it, I am about to loose control and I think I like it! Next I did my 45 min hill running today it took me 55 minutes My legs were a little tired from the cycle so I had to take extra breaks. If you are wondering how I do hill workout in Miami when all of Florida is very flat it is simple. I use a thread mill and a 15% slope. Finally I ended my work out with a 1 hour and 5 Minutes cycle.  Tomorrow is my wife’s birthday. I need to remember to get all the items I need for her surprise.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing. To rest my tired muscle, I went fishing with my fishing partner.  His name is Stan. He loves Bass fishing.  I eat all I catch as long at they meet the legal size. PS. I did eat that Bass in his picture. Stan does not eat fish. So, he is a great fishing partner. He is also very funny. Visit his Youtube channel  SSFishingI picked up Stan and he informed me he had lost 5 pounds in  the last week. I said great. I was very happy to hear. He had been riding a lot lately he is now down to 240 lbs. I asked him do I look and different?  He is not able to see face only from the side and I am wearing large cloth. It is winter in Miami 65-70 degrees is very cold for us. We get dressed in our warm cloth. Stan’s answer was. Oh My God what happen to you. It has been 6 days since we went fishing and I had lost a total of 10.5 LBS. This is where I made my first mistake. “Telling him about my fasting”. If you are planning to fast for more that 3 days. Please do not tell anyone who do not understand the principle. I was sure he would understand. For the past six months I have been telling him I only eat between 11 AM and 7 PM. Every day I fast from 7 PM to 11 AM “This is intermittent fasting” Every week we go fishing at least once sometime twice. I am always fasting the only difference is for this week I am not eating anything.  This is a picture of our catch two weeks ago. I cleaned all of it and gave half to my mom.  I do not mine cleaning them. I LOVE EAT FISH.
While fishing Stan asked. Are you hungry I said. NO! Bro you look like you need a Stake. I heard this all evening. Please eat something.
12/15/2017 Friday 7: AM (132 hrs, 5+1/2 days Fasting I Lost 12.5 Lbs) Weight 163.5 Lbs. This is my wife’s birthday. My number one objective today is to make her smile. I started by making her favorite Breakfast. Can you guess what it is? The ingredients are below.
I usually make her breakfast on the days she goes to work very early.  I prepare a variety of meal while she gets dress in the morning. So, I know what she likes. I am sure she will be greatly surprised.  My wife is a health nut. She never need to loose weight. We went on a 2 weeks cruise a few years ago. It had the best and healthiest food. I return about 7 pounds over my usual weight she about 2 1/2 pounds. She knows when to stop eating. In November we went on a 7 day cruise I gained 5 lbs my wife NONE
Do you have a clue of what I am making.
I Think you should be able to figure this out my now.
It is 8:30 AM I am fasting so I will not be eating with her. I usually only eat between 11:00 AM and 7 PM. So, My wife will understands.
If this was your Birthday Breakfast what would you do?
Leave a comment below. Please be nice.
Lets see if my princess does the same as you.
PS. She does not know I am taking this picture. Its our little secret. Promise not to tell her.
The answer to the question is  ***see below***
I think the picture speaks for it self. My wife know exactly how much she can eat based on her size and caloric needs. Some of us have to learn to fast Intermittently or a total fast to safely lose weight fast or maintain our ideal weight.
Her exact words were. Honey it’s too big. You know I cant eat so much.
PS. She loved the display, the flowers, my choice of garnish. Well let say there were no complain.  I did make her smile with the Breakfast presentation.
12/16/2017 Saturday. I am tired of being asked when will you eat? or Did you eat yet? If you are planning a long fast do not tell skeptics. They will kill your fun and reduce motivation. I will not communicate my intent to anyone until I am done
12/16/2017 Saturday  This is the last day to complete this 7 day challenge. The Final day is here My final weight in is actually 36 hours from Friday’s weight. I usually weight in the morning. The challenge ends evening at 7 PM. This give me an extra 12 hours to prepare for weigh in.  My workout was a 2.5 hour cycle totaling 42.94 miles
12/16/2017 Saturday 7: PM (7 full days Fasting weight 161.5 Lbs Lost 14.5 Lbs)
From my experience Fasting and exercising is by far the fastest way to loose weight. I Lost a Grand Total of  14.5 lbs in 7 days. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to lose weight fast.
I missed my goal by 1.5 lbs so I will continue my fasting.
You need salt to help you cells function properly. Minerals can be absorbed in the skin with your bath useing Epson salt, Ingredients for my chicken soup includes carrots.
The most important thing when fasting is drink lots of water. (Hot water, Warm water, Water with salt, Water with lime/lemon, Hot ginger tea, Hot organic tea)
Breaking the fast – I need to be care full and eat only small portions until my stomach realize the vacation is over. I know my body will still be in fat burning mode for the next few days. I am sure I will see some more weight loss in that time.
Once this fast is over I will spend the next few day enjoying my favorite chicken soup. My soup is very special the main ingredient is Pumpkin followed by chicken. It should be called Pumpkin/chicken soup.
Ingredients Pumpkin, Chicken (remove skin and all visible fat), Chayote Squash also known as “cho-cho“), Malanga root (This is gluten free and an excellent potato substitute), Carrots, Okra, Garlic, Radish, Leeks, Onions, brussels sprouts, scallions also known as Green onion. Three of these ingredients are very similar and give a similar taste and flavor. However, I have not eaten in a while and I want my first hot meal to be very memorable, nutritious, full of flavor with all my favorite soup ingredients.
Breaking the fast will have to wait, I missed my initial goal by 1.5 lbs so I will continue my fasting. I will end before Christmas with 155 lbs & 23% body fat
