Absence makes the heart grow fonder
Pairing: Sylus x reader
Tags: mostly fluff, some suggestive content
A/N: LMAO ik Iâve been MIA forever a lot happened BUT lnds has restarted my brain rot so Iâm boutta get REAL ANNOYING HAHAHAHA this game has me in a chokehold
Sylus the man that you are đ©
Sylus had been gone for a few days. It shouldnât have bothered you but it did.
You didnât know where he went or when heâd come back. Mephisto was gone, even Luke and Kieran had disappeared.
It didnât feel the same going out into the N109 zone without your second shadow. You haunted the Onychinus base. More specifically Sylusâ wing of the base.
You couldnât stop yourself from walking into his room one exceptionally lonely night. Or from going into his closet and sneaking his soft grey sweater that youâve only seen him wear maybe once. It smelled like him.
There was something blossoming between the two of you. Your distaste for him had slowly dissolved. After everything he did to help you it was hard to hate him.
Lately the two of you had become more intimate. There were more soft touches, sneaking glances, many almost kisses but there was some sort of barrier, a line both of you seemed hesitant to cross.
Wearing nothing but his sweater and some underwear, as it went almost down to your knees, you curled up in his bed. It made you blush to think about the time you were trying to steal the brooch from him. After he had evaded his handcuffs and pinned you to the bed, you two had been so close to doing something.
It quickly got ruined when Luke and Kieran came barreling in and then everyone was blushing. Sylus some how kept a nonchalant face.
The softness of his silk sheets and comfortable mattress lulled you to sleep.
Movement in the room started to rouse you. Rubbing your eyes against the soft glow of a lamp, Sylusâ large figure came into view.
âSorry darling I didnât mean to wake you.â You squeezed your eyes shut, having a hard time adjusting to the light. Sylus chuckled softly and brushed a strand of hair away from your face.
His touch vanished, you squinted trying to see where he went. As your vision cleared, you watched the way his deft hands made quick work of the buttons on his shirt. As he laid it across the chair beside him he turned and made eye contact with you.
A smirk played on his lips as he stalked over to you. He sat down beside your head and cupped your cheek. âDonât you have your own bed kitten?â
You sleepily giggle, your eyes fluttering closed again. His touch was soothing and warm. âAnd this sweater looks quite familiar. I think I have one just like it.â His hand left your cheek and went for your exposed thigh.
Sylus massaged the soft skin and slowly you felt the sweater rise with the warmth of his touch as he came to your hip. He gave the area a squeeze before pulling the sweater back down. âNot only do you lay in my bed and steal my clothes but youâre also wearing practically nothing underneath.â A deep laugh sounded from his chest. âMaybe I should leave more often.â
Your eyes opened and your mouth fell into an O. âThatâs not nice.â Dramatically you pouted, jutting out your bottom lip. Sylus only smirked and flicked it before standing up and walking into his closet.
He came back out moments later in just his underwear and you couldnât help but eye him. His steeled abs flexed as he moved about the room. The scars on his skin glowed like stars against the lamp light.
âYouâre staring.â His crimson eyes flared a little brighter as he stalked toward you. Your eyes couldnât help but flick down to the bulge of his underwear.
He laughed as he slid overtop of you and hovered to get a good look at you. Your skin heated against his gaze. The sweater you wore suddenly feeling too hot. As you reached out to touch him he grabbed your hand and kissed your knuckles.
âBed time for such a sleepy kitten hm?â He stood up and grabbed your hips pulling you to the edge of the bed. Squealing he picked you up, wrapping your legs around his waist.
You kept a strong grip around his neck as you snuggled into his skin. Sylus always smelled good. It was addicting. One strong arm gripped your ass as he pulled back the blankets on the bed before laying you back down again.
He released you ready to pull away but you kept your grip around his neck, refusing to let him go. Sylus chuckled, the sound vibrating deliciously throughout your body.
âCome on darling. Iâll lay with you.â Huffing you started to release him. Quickly you planted a kiss on his cheek before he could pull too far away. He kissed your forehead in return. Hesitating at the way you licked your lips but he still pulled away.
Sylus flicked off the light. Dousing the room in completely darkness. You couldnât see him but you could hear him walk around the bed and pull back the blankets. You stayed facing away from him as he got settled.
There was a moment of silence no movement or words. His hands came out of no where, gripping your hips and pulling you back against him. A giggle passed your lips, he tightly wrapped himself around you, resting his chin on the top of your head.
You squirmed in his hold, pushing your ass against him as innocently as you could.
âIf you keep doing that, the last thing youâll be doing is sleeping sweetheart.â His voice brushed your ear sending a chill down your spine.
You didnât feel like sleeping anyway.

Hi! :) II read your fics but when I tried to reach you out for a fic, your requests were closed, so I've been thinking of a fic of Lee! Pure vanilla cookie and ler! Shadow milk cookie. Can you do this fic? TYSM!

Hello! I can gladly do just that. Also, beware of the spoilers for Beast Yeast episode 7! (Kink/NSFW accounts DNI!)
Atop the Spire of Deceit, Pure Vanilla Cookie was at his knees on the floor. His whole life had been just a lie? He was nothing more than a puppet to Shadow Milk Cookie? That canât be right! Unfortunately, though, it was and it was hard to understand let alone process. The jester laughed to himself, finding a twinge of amusement in what was tragedy for his opposite.
âOh, lighten up, âNilla!â He said, getting down to the other cookieâs level, âEverything about this world is nothing more than an elaborate web of lies! Whatâs so different about this one, hm?â. Pure Vanilla Cookie put his face in his hands, sinking further onto the cold tile floor. Shadow Milk Cookie scoffed, but their gaze had the tiniest sliver of sympathy, âSeriously? THATâS all I get outta you!? Come on, youâre acting like a child!â They joined Pure Vanilla Cookie on the floor âYeah, it hurts, big whoop! But thatâs reality for ya, my boy! Cookies lie, cookies destroy, theyâre apathetic, theyâre lazy, they zip up shut when you ask them to do better, thatâs reality.â. That wasnât getting anywhere, either. Sure, the Beast was right about that, the world would always be packed with cookies that made it no better, but is it always good to think about? Should one really let themselves get caught up in that âelaborate web of liesâ?
There was a beat of silence, spare a couple irritated noises from Shadow Milk Cookie. Seriously! Whereâs the drama? Whereâs the big, explosive reaction? Miseries and tragedies are by far the least comedic genres! All he saw whenever he looked back at the little hero was just⊠nothing. But also, maybe sometime locked deep away in distant memories, Shadow Milk Cookie felt the same way once upon a time. Even when he was the Fount of Knowledge, it wasnât easy; cookies turned away from him to believe their little lies, they would even tell those lies to his face, and at one point it felt like his whole existence was a lie. Oh, curse you, emotions! Always getting in the way of the funnies! The jester stood up once more and started to nudge at Pure Vanilla Cookie with his foot, like when you try to move a stubborn house pet out of the way.
âCome on! Do something!â They jeered, continuing with nudging. Finally⊠there was something! Pure Vanilla Cookie let out a small laugh and reflexively tried to move away. Shadow Milk Cookie found themself grinning again âOh? Whatâs so funny, my boy?â, nudge, nudge. Pure Vanilla Cookie laughed again and actually moved. They continued this little game of cat and mouse for a minute, at least it was something!
âStop it.â Pure Vanilla Cookie finally said, his voice just the tiniest bit lighter, âIâm not in the mood.â. âNot in the mood for what?â Shadow Milk Cookie asked, getting back down on the floor, âDonât tell me that tickled!â. The beast could see Pure Vanilla Cookie tensing up a little bit and grinned, this was about to get far more fun! âDonât worry, Iâm not gonna play too rough!â He giggled, pouncing on the other cookie and immediately scribbling all over his sides. Pure Vanilla Cookie was caught off guard; âPa- Phahahahaha! Hahahahaha! Hahaha- s-stop! Quit it!â He laughed, trying to move away from his adversary(to no success). âMaybe not the exact reaction I wanted, but Iâll take what I can get!â The jester sung as Pure Vanilla Cookie kept laughing, âDonât- hahahaha! Hahahahaha!â He tried to protest âHahahaha! Hahaha!â He gave up pretty shortly, he was already overcome by the giggles. Shadow Milk Cookieâs grin turned up even wider and started shifting between spots, finding a nice path to travel; first he would climb all the way up Mount Tummy, go through the Great Rib Maze, explore Cave Armpits, and then slide all the way back down to the Side Foothills to start again! It was a game in a way, one that was fun for him but not for Pure Vanilla Cookie. Oh, and of course he had to announce every move!
âLook out, avalanche!â The jester exclaimed, dragging their nimble fingers all the way back down to Pure Vanilla Cookieâs sides. The heroâs voice cracked uncharacteristically, âHahahaHAHAHAA!â, it sounded like a bird that just got the wind knocked out of it. âUgh, lost again! Maybe I need to retrace my steps?â They said, tracing through the path they had already gone over in the maze. Pure Vanilla Cookie felt like he was losing it! He was wheezing, his voice kept cracking, and this was the hardest he had ever laughed in years! Though, funnily enough, it actually didnât feel that bad. Sure, his lungs were burning higher than a volcano and his throat was beginning to feel a little dry, but for once he couldnât think of anything- much less the world-shattering revelation from earlier. Even still, itâs not like he could get much of a word in right now. Shadow Milk Cookieâs hands finally paused, âAw, donât tell me youâre already done playing! You look like youâre about to start crying.â They pouted. Pure Vanilla Cookie nodded. âOkay, okay! Iâm not going to give you such an undignified end⊠yet.â They finally got off and let Pure Vanilla Cookie breathe, which he gratefully did.
âYâknow, I may be evil, but Iâm not ALL that bad!â Shadow Milk Cookie said after letting the old man catch his breath, of course, âSure, all of your life was a lie that I constructed⊠but I didnât completely ruin it. I let you have some laughs like what I just demonstrated, didnât I?â. Pure Vanilla Cookie shook his head, but honestly that reminder didnât hurt as much as it wouldâve earlier, a part of his newfound truth felt lighter- like it had really set him free. Besides, that little spark of sympathy didnât go unnoticed! Truth and deceit are two sides of the same coin, but honestly they werenât really so different- just not in the way one would think. It isnât just because one canât exist without the other, but also because together they were knowledge.
And thatâs the end! Thanks for the request and thanks for reading. I seriously needed something like this after yesterday, if you know you know. Have a good one and please stay safe đ«¶

I love this!!! You guys always come up with the best ideas! Thank you for the request btw đ

New Discovery
Lee! Han, Ler! Stray Kids
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
The members were on another radio show. They were all sitting around a table with a mic in their face. It was quite comfortable actually, contrary to what it looked like.
Everyone was in a good mood and the host kept everything very professional. They had been talking for about half an hour doing aegyo, sharing TMIs, and all together having fun talking.
âOkay, now itâs time to read some of the fanâs questions.â, the host said happily
âWhoâs funniest right now?â
âProbably Seungmin or Hanâ Felix said smiling
âAre Felixâs hands still small?â
âYes, haha they are just as small as when we debutedâ, Chan said teasingly
âOkay, hereâs an interesting one. Is Han ticklish?â
Hanâs cheeks immediately turned a light shade of red.
âOooh i actually donât knowâ, Felix said
Han thought he might be able to hold it in.
Hopefully if I donât make a sound, everyone will give up and go back to their seats.
Changbin immediately stood up and grabbed the youngerâs arms to pull them up above his head, the rest of the members following behind.
Chan and Felix went to his sides, Jeongin positioned his fingers beside Hanâs neck, Lee Know put one of his hands on the youngerâs armpit, Seungmin bent down and put his hands on Hanâs legs, and Hyunjin also put a hand in Hanâs armpit.
Han at this point was trying not to laugh as he could feel the anticipation running through his body.
âReady, set, start!â The host said with excitement
All at once everyone started wiggling their fingers.
Han really tried to keep it in, but the sensations ran were too much. Some members were spidering his ribs, some squeezing his sides, some digging into his armpits, and some squeezing his legs. It was all so much.
âHAHAHAHA HAHAHHA NOHO HAHAHA STOHOPâ
âAww, look at how ticklish he is!â Changbin said while laughing along with the younger
âI know right, itâs as if he wanted thisâ Lee Know teased
âHAHAHA NOHO IHI DONT LIHIKE IT NOHOâ
âYou sure about that?â Chan asked teasingly
Jisung tried to answer, but he was laughing so hard he couldnât speak.
âHAHHAHAHAâ
âI think he loves it!â Jeongin teased
The sensations were a mix of butterflies and knives poking into him. He wasnât sure if he liked or disliked it, but he definitely didnât hate it. It had been such a long time since he had been tickled. He honestly missed the feeling. All the attention was on him, and everyone was cooing at him.
Suddenly it was so much, that he fell off his chair, but too his surprise, the members kept tickling him, just in the ground.
âHAHAHAHHAHA HYUNJIN!â, he screamed when Hyunjin poked his finger into his bellybutton.
âAww, I think we found his worst spotâ, Chan exclaimed while laughing
âNOHOT THEHRE HAHAHAâ
âWhen you say, ânot thereâ, that just makes me want to tickle you more in that spotâ Hyunjin laughed as everyone immediately joined Hyunjin and started tickling Han on his tummy.
âNOHO HAHAHAâ
Tears were starting to fall from his eyes from how much he was laughing. When the members noticed this, they stopped and let Han reposition himself in his seat.
âIt looked like you liked thatâ, the host said while giggling sightly
âYeah did you enjoy being tickled by everyone?â, Chan asked
âYeahâ, Han timidly answered
At that, Lee Know, who was sitting next to Han, squeezed his side, earning the older a squeal.
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Thank you for reading! I know this was on the shorter side, but I hope you enjoyed. đ«¶

Early morning at 6am. Alex was lying on the bed with her eyes closed. Soon enough she woke up, opened her chocolate-brown eyes and was facing Nik, who's been exercising in his new black sportswear next to their bed.
"...16, 17, 18, 19...", he counted his sit-ups.
Without letting Nik notice that she was awake, she smiled and silently watched him exercise.
"...23, 24, 25..."
When he raised his upper body from the floor at the 25th sit-up, he quickly pulled Alex from the bed towards him on the floor and turned around which made Alex lie under him and Nik hovering over her as he pinned her on the floor.
"Hey??!"
"What? You think I wouldn't notice you watchin me exercise, sleepy head? Now I gotcha, rook.", he smirked.
"Niiiiiik, come on. Yes, you caught me, now could you please stand up?"
"No, I finally got ya'. Got ya' where I want ya'.", he kept staring in her chocolate-brown eyes and moved his face closer to hers to reach of her lips.
"Oh no, you don't!!", she giggled and started tickling him. But it didn't worked as she expected and surprisingly looked at Nik who smirked and raised an eyebrow.
"Nik, aren't you tickly?", she asked while continued making him laugh and back away.
Looking at her confused girlfriend, he backed away and chuckled.
"I'm not tickly, rook. Now come on, let's get ready."
"For what? It's 6am in the morning.", she asked and both stood up from the floor.
"Let's go for a morning walk and do some jogging outside."
"Nooo, I'm headin to bed. It's too early.", she complained, covered herself back in white blankets and closed her eyes. Watching her softly, he joined her and layed himself next to her on bed. A quick kiss planed on her forehead and rested beside her.
"Nik, can't you just rest for a while. You're always training and exercising."
"I have to be ready for anything.", his arms wrapped her waist and pulled her closer.
"Fiiine, alright. I know, I know, for the safety of our world. I'll join you then.", she agreed. Then she started tickling him again and tried harder this time, but Nik stayed calm.
"Try harder, rook", he grinned, but after a few seconds he couldn't hold it back anymore, gave up and finally laughed.
"Yesss, you're finally laughing!!!"
"Ah, hey... hahaha... stop now, rook. Hey, stop! Rookie, please!! Okay, yeah, you... you... you got meee!!!!"
Alex stopped tickling him and sat infront of him to get a better look at him. Smiling at him, she apologized.
"Sorry, I just wanted to tickle you see your smile. It's cute. I don't like it if you're playing the serious guy. When you smile, you make me smile too.", she said and smiled sweetly.
"That's why you were randomly tickling me, huh?!! You are the one that makes me smile already when you're happy, rook. If you wanna keep sleeping longer, you can. It's just... it would be much nicer when you would join me with work-out. You and me, rook. Since you started living with me, it's no fun anymore if I do my usual things alone without you."
"Guess you got more used to it by having me on your side, partner.", she winked and stood up from bed, when suddenly Nik pulled her back which made her sit on his lap.
"Now it's your turn to smile.", he answered and started tickling her. Alex was very tickly and couldn't stop laughing that much.
"Hahahaha... Niiiiiik, haha... Stop, please?!!", she begged.
"That's what I call sweet revenge. Make me stop now, rookie."
Alex really couldn't stop laughing hard which made Nik stop after a few seconds and waited till she calmed herself down.
"Oh Nik, oh god..."
"Alex, you alright? Calm down. Breathe slowly, okay."
"I... I... I'm fine. Don't worry.", she sweetly smiled.
"I didn't know you were tickly, rook. You still okay?"
"Yes, yes, I'm fine. With you, I'll always be fine."
This is so cute!!!! đđđ

Many thoughts...
You hadn't opened your eyes yet when you felt Buckyâs fingers brush along your stomach in an almost hypnotic motion. You didn't know what time it was or what was going on in the world outside, but you knew you were in his arms and would be in his bed soon enough. Sleeping with someone next to you wasnât something you were completely used to. It had been so long, and when it did happen it was always by choice.
Yeah choice is not really an option here đ„Ž
âSee, here's the thingâŠâ You suddenly pulled yourself from his grasp and turned in time to smack him in his face with the pillow. His shocked expression was worth it. âI donât remember the rest of my dream because some entitled jerk pounded on my door in the middle of the night and punched a hole in the wall.â
Fair đ€·đ»ââïž
You did it again, your frustration fueled more as he kept laughing. âSleep is precious to me,â you said, nodding to his lower region. âYouâre lucky I don't smack that with the pillow.â He took it from your grasp before you could try. âOkay, it was shitty of me to show up when I did. Iâll give you that,â he said, reaching out to touch your cheek. âBut I really did miss you.â
Shitty is an understatement
âFuck, doll, Iâm so hard for you,â he moaned. You counted to three in your head and brushed your teeth a little harder, faster, trying to block him out. Maybe if you ignored him he'd shut his mouth. Maybe. âAre you wet for me? Come to bed and let me take care of you. I'll make you melt on my tongue.â
Not even peace and quiet while brushing your teeth, my nightmare đ„Č
You swallowed hard, but smiled. âCoffee with cream and sugar, eggs sunny side up, and bacon, right? Right,â you said, proudly walking with confidence from the room. âClean up after yourself when youâre done.â âIâll clean you up, too, after I make a mess of you,â he stated, a long moan following as you plopped down on the sofa.
Good god, you can't even ask about a breakfast order with himđ„Ž
âNot really,â he admitted, setting the food out with a frown. âOrgasms take the edge off, but having you close and not having you is difficult.â âSounds like a you problem,â you uttered.
Hahahaha so true đ
You were glad for that as well. âWell, it was nice resting somewhere that didnât have cameras or bugs around the place. Natasha was also nice to talk to,â you said. Meeting her didnât fully ease your stress, but she helped. Bucky ignored the camera comment.
Of course he did đ€Šđ»ââïžđ
Likely because of whatever she experienced growing up she looked out for others, though you wondered if part of it was because you were Buckyâs girl. âShe offered me a place here in case I ever need space or time to myself., I plan to take her up on that offer.â He was quiet for a moment. âBecause you donât want to be near me.â
đđđđ
âShe stopped and put a hand to her head while her friend kept walking. I could tell something was wrong and before I knew it I rushed toward her and grabbed her hand when she started to collapse. I pulled her out of the way just in time before a speeding car hit her,â you explained, remembering it like it was yesterday. Your heart had raced so fast when she crumpled in your arms. âHer friend understandably freaked out and flagged a car down to take her to the hospital. She kept thanking me for saving Winnie, but I was still worried about her.â âWinnie.â Bucky swallowed hard and loosened the hold on your hand. âThat was her name?â
Oh đ
âI lied to you during our first date when I said I wish you couldâve met my mother. You did meet her and she did love you,â he said, showing you a photo in his wallet. It was a younger picture of Bucky. He looked full of life and the woman smiling was the very woman you pulled out of the path of the car. âYou just didnât know it.â
đ„șđ„șđ„ș
âAnd imagine my surprise when I had my men look into you just to get facial recognition footage of you saving my mom on the street that fateful day. And footage from the hospital with you sitting there talking with her, bringing her happiness without asking for anything in return,â he said, cupping your cheek as you tried to get over the shock. âI knew I wanted you the moment I saw you, but that just solidified it more. You saved my mom, and gave me more time with her. Thatâs something that no one else could ever give me.â
That seems a little overkill if you ask me, a simple thank you are a nice bouquet would have been enough
Your lip trembled. You saved his momâs life, gave him more time with one of the only people he seemed to love and respect. No, that couldnât be. That couldnât have been you. âWhy didnât you tell me?â âBecause I had scared you enough. Would you have listened or believed me if I told you that so soon?â he asked gently.
That truly doesn't really make it better lol
âDonât you see now why Iâm so desperate to keep you close? To keep you safe? Had I looked into it then, we couldâve met and been together this whole time,â he said, pressing his forehead to yours. âBut itâs okay. Fate stepped in and brought us together now.â He traced your lips with his thumb. âWeâre going to make up for all the lost time, and never be lonely again, Kotyonok. Thatâs a promise.â
Promises can be broken, right? đ«Ł
Something fell apart inside you and you werenât sure when you began to openly weep, but he silenced your cries with his lips. Maybe he was crying, too, you couldnât be sure, but he held you tight against him and didnât let go. You didn't fight him, couldn't fight him. You were the one who asked for answers after all and you got them, didnât you? And knowing what you knew now, walking away from Bucky was never going to be an option. He would never allow it. Fate wouldn't allow it either.

You hadn't exactly kicked Bucky out though, had you? No, you invited him in. If only to prevent him from putting another hole in the wall. Natasha said sheâd bill him for it, but you were going to make Bucky pay her extra for the inconvenience.
âI know youâre awake,â he murmured, his lips touching your neck. âYour breathing changed.â
âMmm. You listen to me breathe?â you mumbled. That tracked for him.
âItâs a beautiful sound,â he said, your eyes finally opening when he pulled you closer. Whether it was sleep, being beside you, or both, it had an effect on his⊠anatomy. You went still when he rocked his hips once, letting you feel just how hard he was. âGod, waking up beside you is a dream come true.â
Your fingers dug into the pillow under your head as he rolled his hips again. His fingers didn't drift south, didn't tug at your pajamas. He also didn't stop that slow grind and you hated that a bit of wetness gathered between your thighs. âDid you have good dreams?â you asked, your voice surprisingly even.
âMmm. I had very good dreams,â he answered, his voice rough. âWould you rather I tell you or show you?â
Neither. That was what you told yourself. âWhat about me?â you asked. âYou donât want me to tell you about my dreams?â
âTell me,â he urged, burying his face in your shoulder.
âI dreamt about you, Bucky. You laying beside me in bed, holding me close. Just like this,â you said, his groan permeating your skin. âDo you want me to keep going?â
His teeth gently sank into your shoulder, making you gasp. âYes,â he growled.
âOkay,â you smiled, pushing your hips back just a little to tease him. âI dreamt that you touched me. So hot it made me feel like I was on fire.â
Another groan escaped. âWhere, Kotyonok? Where did I touch you?â he asked, his voice strained.
âSee, here's the thingâŠâ You suddenly pulled yourself from his grasp and turned in time to smack him in his face with the pillow. His shocked expression was worth it. âI donât remember the rest of my dream because some entitled jerk pounded on my door in the middle of the night and punched a hole in the wall.â
He chuckled as he sat up, his hair falling in his eyes. It was a gorgeous sight and it wasn't fair. âDid you just hit me with a pillow?â
You did it again, your frustration fueled more as he kept laughing. âSleep is precious to me,â you said, nodding to his lower region. âYouâre lucky I don't smack that with the pillow.â
He took it from your grasp before you could try. âOkay, it was shitty of me to show up when I did. Iâll give you that,â he said, reaching out to touch your cheek. âBut I really did miss you.â
âI understand that, but it was one day,â you argued, shivering when his thumb moved along your skin. He went a single day without you and lived to tell the tale.
Pain filled his eyes. âBut I already went so long without you.â
You sighed, pulling away and searching for your phone so you could check the time. âI need caffeine before we have our talk.â
Bucky looked down at himself. âAnd I need to take care of this.â He smirked at your expression. âDon't worry. As much as I want to be inside you, our first time won't be here.â
That was a relief. âBut you do plan to fuck me here at some point.â
âNatasha let that slip, huh?â He stood up with a stretch and you looked away. âI plan to make love to you and fuck you, too. The best of both worlds.â
âHow considerate.â You stretched, too, his eyes following you. âLet me use the bathroom before you jerk off in there, please.â
âYou're welcome to listen,â he smiled.
Heâd probably put on a show if he knew you were listening. âIâm going to sit in the other room once Iâm done and order breakfast. Would you like anything?â
He looked touched that you considered that. âCoffee with cream and sugar, eggs sunny side up, and bacon, please.â
âOkay,â you said, rushing to the bathroom before he could follow.
âI might just jerk off in bed if youâre in there,â he called out as you shut the door.
âBe my guest!â
You swore you heard a chuckle as you went about your business, going to the bathroom, brushing your teeth. Ignoring him didnât last when you heard a soft groan. Jesus, the man had absolutely no shame.
âFuck, doll, Iâm so hard for you,â he moaned.
You counted to three in your head and brushed your teeth a little harder, faster, trying to block him out. Maybe if you ignored him he'd shut his mouth. Maybe.
âAre you wet for me? Come to bed and let me take care of you. I'll make you melt on my tongue.â
Spitting harder in the sink than you needed to, you gripped the porcelain once you rinsed your mouth out. You had no doubt heâd eat you out like a starved man. Would he make you take him in your throat soon? Fuck your face until you drooled and cried or would he be gentle and let you get used to the weight of him on your tongue?
âI know you can hear me.â His voice was sinful, dark, and you scrubbed your skin so hard when you washed your face you were stunned you didnât hurt yourself. âSure you donât wanna come out and see what you do to me? Maybe show me your pretty pussy? I can jerk off on it and spread it all over those pretty lips.â
You bit your lip, wishing your knees didnât feel weak. âBucky, please.â
He groaned louder, his breathing labored. Your breathing was a little heavier, too. âSay it again, Iâm almost there.â
All you had to do was open the door to see if his pupils were dilated, if there was heat in his cheeks. Was his hair still a mess from sleeping? Would he make a show of stroking his cock? âBucky, hurry up,â you demanded.
He chuckled, a breathy sound. âCanât wait for you to say that before I fuck you.â Your eyes shut as he let out another obscene groan. âBefore I fill you full of me.â
âJust go to the sitting area,â you muttered to yourself, not looking at your reflection in the mirror.
You left the bathroom with the hope of avoiding his gaze, but you made the mistake of looking at the bed. He was in the middle of it, looking every bit like a king. His lower half was covered by the blanket, but you could see that his right hand was under there, still stroking himself. His chest heaved, his eyes half lidded as you stared at each other. You had to break yourself from that spell, even if the man was jerking off to the thought of you.
âLike what you see?â he rasped.
You swallowed hard, but smiled. âCoffee with cream and sugar, eggs sunny side up, and bacon, right? Right,â you said, proudly walking with confidence from the room. âClean up after yourself when youâre done.â
âIâll clean you up, too, after I make a mess of you,â he stated, a long moan following as you plopped down on the sofa.
Guess he finished.
Once it was quiet enough in the bedroom, you ordered breakfast. You still needed a shower, if only to cool yourself off and get rid of the wetness that seeped out thanks to Bucky. You werenât sure if you trusted him not to join you or try to watch and had a feeling heâd make you shower and bathe with him once you moved in.
Bucky, for his part, didnât come out until there was a knock on the door minutes later. Any trace of his earlier transgression was gone, looking more put together, but there was still tension in the air. You remained silent as he thanked whomever was at the door once he checked the breakfast cart himself and wheeled it to the small table. He even pulled out a chair for you, staring at you with a soft gaze until you went to join him.
âFeel better?â you asked.
âNot really,â he admitted, setting the food out with a frown. âOrgasms take the edge off, but having you close and not having you is difficult.â
âSounds like a you problem,â you uttered.
He sat down and narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. âWhy did you invite me in this morning?â
âI told you I was tired,â you said, which you were.
He hummed, taking a bite of his eggs. âYou couldâve told me to leave, have Natasha call security, anything, but you didnât do any of that. You didnât make me sleep on the sofa either,â he said with a knowing smile. âAdmit it, you wanted me in bed with you.â
âI will not admit that,â you said quickly. It wasnât true. It couldnât be true.
He shrugged. âMaybe you were testing to see if Iâd stay true to my word and not force myself on you or maybe you actually missed me more than you want to admit to yourself. Either way, Iâm glad you did. Best sleep I can remember in a long time.â
Admitting anything would be admitting defeat and you couldnât do that to yourself. âIt wasnât even a full nightâs sleep,â you pointed out. It was after two in the morning when he showed up.
âDoesnât matter. I still slept well because I was holding you,â he smiled softly, nodding to your plate. âPlease, eat. The food here is really good.â
You poked your food around before you dug in. He said things like that and it fueled your guilt for not giving in or fully accepting your new life. You werenât going to romanticize anything he did though.
âYou said we had some things to talk about,â he said after a minute. âIâm all ears.â
You took a large sip of your coffee first. âYeah, like Ray following me. It was meant to be a day to myself and you had me followed,â you said, watching for his reaction. As expected, he didnât look the least bit ashamed. âI donât expect an apology from you because youâll harp that it was for my own good, but you can understand my frustration that you didnât let me know, right?â
That was one of the things that bothered you the most. The half answers and missing pieces and being kept in the dark. How much of it was for your own good and how much was it because he didnât want you frightened more?
âI did have you followed and my instinct proved to be correct that you needed eyes on you. Also proves that you need to move in as soon as possible,â he said, your heart sinking. Of course he was twisting this to justify himself and get what he wanted. âBut I get your frustration. Itâs a big change for you, having eyes on you at all times.â
âBecause of you.â You ignored the flicker of hurt in his eyes. This was all because he chose you. âWhy Ray?â
âHeâs good at his job, I trust him, and you seem to trust him,â he replied. You did to an extent. âIâm glad he suggested this place to you since you werenât exactly interested in spending the rest of your day at home.â
You were glad for that as well. âWell, it was nice resting somewhere that didnât have cameras or bugs around the place. Natasha was also nice to talk to,â you said. Meeting her didnât fully ease your stress, but she helped.
Bucky ignored the camera comment. âShe can bend the will of many men to do what she wants,â he said. There was respect there, even a hint of fondness. âUnsurprisingly, sheâs protective of you, which is good.â
Likely because of whatever she experienced growing up she looked out for others, though you wondered if part of it was because you were Buckyâs girl. âShe offered me a place here in case I ever need space or time to myself., I plan to take her up on that offer.â
He was quiet for a moment. âBecause you donât want to be near me.â
Putting your hand on his across the table, he immediately reacted to your touch. It was time to take a lesson from Natashaâs book and sway him. âBecause we both need that space and moments to ourselves, just like we both need our friends. And any time apart will only make things more meaningful when weâre back together,â you stressed. Like you were stubborn in accepting your fate, he was stubborn in not wanting separation from you in the slightest. âI already feel like a prisoner of sorts in this relationship, so is it really too much to ask for a bit of a longer leash?â
âIâll worry when youâre not nearby,â he admitted.
Your heart clenched, but you couldnât allow that sweetness to manipulate you. âBecause of men like Helmut Zemo?â you asked. Bucky gripped his fork tight. âYou know, itâs a little convenient that the day you give me to myself is the day he shows up.â
What if it was a ruse for Bucky to not give you more days to yourself?
âI can see why youâd think that. I'd be suspicious if the roles were reversed,â he said, a hardened look crossing his face. âBut I donât want him anywhere near you and wouldnât set you up that way.â
You were still a little suspicious, but the way Bucky, Ray, and Natasha reacted regarding Zemo told you that none of them had any idea heâd pop up. âWhy not?â
âBecause he isnât a good person and shouldnât have gone near you,â he said. You raised an eyebrow at that. âIâm not a good person either, but heâs something else.â
âWhat do you mean?â you asked. There was a story there and you needed answers.
âHeâs rich, powerful, like me in many ways, but the difference is he once had a wife and kid who were his whole world. Something Iâve longed for and never had.â
You tried not to tense up, but that was where you came in for Bucky. He wanted you to make that dream a reality. âHad?â you asked, noticing he referred to Zemoâs family in the past tense.
Bucky nodded sadly. âA few years ago they were⊠collateral damage in a deal gone wrong. The loss changed him. He grew colder, more ruthless,â he explained. You were glad you finished eating because you werenât sure you could stomach a bite after that. âOur work relationship has been shaky ever since then because he blames some of the men Iâve worked with for what happened and I feel like heâs been biding his time and waiting to strike.â
ââCollateral damageâ? It was his wife and child,â you said. Zemo may not have been a good person, but you had no doubt his family was innocent.
âI didnât mean for it to sound heartless,â he said.
âAnd what? Him setting his sights on me, is it a game? Is he going to hurt me?â you asked, tears instantly filling your eyes. You were afraid all over again. âWill he try to kill me?â you whispered. Buckyâs associates were loyal to him as far as you knew. If Zemo blamed them in some way, what better way to hurt them than to hurt someone their boss cared about? A loss for a loss.
âNo,â he said fiercely, pushing his chair back so fast and hard that it hit the floor. A tear fell when he rushed around, dropping to his knees beside your chair. âI donât know what his angle is yet, but Iâm going to find out and I wonât let him hurt you.â
âHow can you guarantee that?â you asked.
âI canât, but I have to try because I canât lose you, too,â he whispered, wiping your tears away. âWe donât even have to wait until the end of the month for you to move in. I can have your apartment packed up while youâre out with your friends.â
You pulled away from his touch. âNo,â you whispered back. Moving in sooner wouldn't help. âYou owe me more answers.â
He let out a breath. âKotyonok-â
âNo!â you snapped, moving back in your chair. âWhy are you so obsessed with me? And donât just tell me that it was the connection of seeing me at the club and realizing weâre two lonely souls meant to be together. There is something there that no one is telling me and I need to know.â
Whether it was for closure or sealing your fate, it would drive you crazy to not know.
Bucky took your hands and pulled you up, a detached look taking over his features as he led you to the sofa. The look frightened you more than his leers or glares. Had you pushed too far?
âI told you my dad was an unfaithful partner to my mom, but he was worse. Much worse,â he began, gently squeezing your hand. âWe always had money, more than we knew what to do with, but it was never enough for him. He stole from his partners and was careful to cover his tracks, but he slipped up one day. And when that day came, he shifted the blame to my mom. Convinced them enough that they believed him when everyone knew my mom would never steal a penny.â
Your mouth fell open when he audibly exhaled, a broken sound. âBucky⊠IâŠâ You didnât know what to say.
âThey didnât kill her, but they nearly did. She couldnât even see me when I showed up because her eyes were so swollen. She was hardly breathing,â he continued in a hurt tone, pulling his hand free of yours to remove the glove from his left hand. Your eyes werenât deceiving you the night he showed up at your apartment. His hand was made out of some sort of metal. âLost my arm getting her out of there.â
He held it out so you could touch it. âYou lost your arm?â you asked, your fingers grazing the metal ever so gently. You had never seen anything like it.
He shuddered. Could he feel that? âIt was worth it for the woman who brought me into this world, raised me, and loved me unconditionally,â he said without regret. âAnd my dad? He just kept whoring around, and told his associates that she had to learn her lesson the hard way. He couldn't admit the truth.â
Your eyes misted over. How could his dad do that to his mom? To Bucky? âIâm so sorry.â
He blinked rapidly and you wondered if he had tears in his eyes, too. âIt took her a long time to recover and she never fully did, but she tried to make the best of it. She still had her spirit, and kept her distance from my dad in our home. Some of my friends even made sure my dad wouldnât go near her,â he said, smiling wistfully. How could she handle staying there? Was it for her son? âBecause she never fully recovered though, I almost lost her again over four years ago.â
âWhat happened?â
âBefore I answer that.â He shifted to face you, awe in his eyes. âHave you ever saved a life?â
âWhat?â you asked, thrown by the question.
âHave you ever saved anyone?â he asked again.
âNo, Iâm not a hero. IâŠâ you trailed off before a vivid memory filled your mind. âActually, I did once.â
âYeah?â he asked, but he sounded as if he already knew.
âYeah. There was this older woman walking across the street with a friend or relative one day, Iâm not sure,â you said, wincing when he gripped your hand. âBucky, you-â
âTell me what happened,â he begged.
âShe stopped and put a hand to her head while her friend kept walking. She kept thanking me for saving Winnie, but I was still worried about her.â
âWinnie.â Bucky swallowed hard and loosened the hold on your hand. âThat was her name?â
âYeah.â You gave him a strange look when he inhaled sharply. âI stopped at the hospital to donate flowers like usual and I asked one of the doctors I knew pretty well if anyone named Winnie had checked in. I knew she couldnât tell me yes or no and I didnât have any other information to give her, but I did ask if she could make sure she got a vase if she was there.â
âDid you ever see her again?â he asked, his voice thick.
You nodded after a moment. âYeah, I did. I went back maybe a week later and she spotted me by chance as she was being wheeled to her room. She said I could stop in if I wanted to, so I did,â you smiled softly. âShe said my flowers brightened up her room and I asked how she knew they were from me because I never put my name on the cards. She said she just knew. I made sure to bring her flowers the next time I visited.â
A sniffle pulled you from the memory and Bucky looked like he was trying hard not to break down. âYou kept visiting her?â
âI did. She didnât always say much because she was tired some days, but seemed to like it when I read to her. Said her son liked to read to her, too, but I never saw him stop by,â you answered sadly. She was a kind woman and it broke your heart that she didnât get a lot of visitors. âThen one day, her room was empty. No one could tell me anything. I donât know if she went home or passed or what happened. It was like she just vanished.ââ
âShe was brought home before she passed away days later,â Bucky said, his hand shaky as he took his wallet out.
You stared at him. âHow do youâŠâ He said he knew you donated specific flowers to the hospital. The same kind of flowers you gave to Winnie. âBucky, what are you-â
âI lied to you during our first date when I said I wish you couldâve met my mother. You did meet her and she did love you,â he said, showing you a photo in his wallet. It was a younger picture of Bucky. He looked full of life and the woman smiling was the very woman you pulled out of the path of the car. âYou just didnât know it.â
âWinnieâŠâ you whispered, feeling like the wind was knocked out of you. âShe was your mom.â
The kind woman you saved by chance was the mother of Bucky Barnes.
âHer full name was Winifred. I only visited her during off hours so it wouldnât attract any attention. Used a fake last name for her records, too, so no one would know that a Barnes was in the hospital,â he said, tucking his wallet away. âShe used to talk about this sweet woman who saved her and brought her flowers, but she couldnât remember her name. With her mind slipping, it didnât surprise me and I was too caught up in other things to fully look into it because I knew she was safe and this person didnât mean any harm.â
Your mouth was agape, trying to process everything when he bitterly laughed. âYouâŠâ
âDad never stopped by, of course. Not that I wouldâve let him, the piece of shit.â His metal hand curled as anger flashed across his face. âAnd this person couldnât have been like my dad and the cowardly men who thought it was okay to beat up a woman. Men like Alexander Pierce, Brock Rumlow, Jasper Sitwell.â
Those were some of the names Zemo mentioned. âOh, my god.â
âYou know, one of the last things she said to me was that she hoped I found my other half one day. To love her completely, hold her tight, and never let her go,â he said, an odd smile on his face. âI only wish she was alive so she could see us together.â
You gasped. He took those words to heart, twisted them into something dark and possessive. âI-â
âI told you that traditional dating never worked for me,â he cut you off. âSeeing you in my club, it all made sense as to why.â
You couldn't find the words, too lost to speak up if you tried.
âAnd imagine my surprise when I had my men look into you just to get facial recognition footage of you saving my mom on the street that fateful day.
Your lip trembled. You saved his momâs life, gave him more time with one of the only people he seemed to love and respect. No, that couldnât be. That couldnât have been you. âWhy didnât you tell me?â
âBecause I had scared you enough. Would you have listened or believed me if I told you that so soon?â he asked gently.
âI donât know,â you breathed. You werenât sure what to think anymore.
âDonât you see now why Iâm so desperate to keep you close? To keep you safe? Had I looked into it then, we couldâve met and been together this whole time,â he said, pressing his forehead to yours. âBut itâs okay. Fate stepped in and brought us together now.â He traced your lips with his thumb. âWeâre going to make up for all the lost time, and never be lonely again, Kotyonok. Thatâs a promise.â
A lot to unpack there, lovelies! Bucky sort of behaved. He believes fate brought you together . What do you think? And what will happen next? Love and thanks for reading! â€ïž

Warning: This fanfic contains tickles. Also remind them that I don't speak English, so if they find any errors, let me know to correct it. I hope you like it!
Summary: Iguro and Sanemi discover Tomioka's weakness thanks to Shinobu and Tanjiro
Lers: Iguro Obanai and Sanemi Shinazugawa
Lees: Tanjiro Kamado and Giyuu Tomioka
'Oi Tomioka, are you still with that attitude again?' Sanemi asked with repudiation. 'If you don't like my attitude just ignore it, it's not difficult. And stop bothering', Tomioka got up and walked away. 'Shinobu, how come you plan to be his friend? It really isn't worth spending your time trying to win him friendship, he doesn't even seem to have feelings for one', Iguro commented to gain Shinobu's attention. She looked at them and gave a warm smile 'I know Tomioka-san is very reserved, but he's a good person. And he have feelings, Iguro', she replied. 'Hah! How can you prove that?' Sanemi replied. Shinobu sighed and continued 'I invited Tomioka to dinner to strengthen ties, he told us something and Tanjiro and I discovered something in him. He is-', she was silenced by Tomioka who even though he had walked away ran quickly to prevent them from discovering him secret. He slowly moved her away from that place, leaving the Wind Hashira and the Snake Hashira confused.
'What was that?', he looked at his friend who came down from the tree fast. 'I don't know, but Shinobu said that boy who headbutted you was there. That means that he knows what he was going to tell us,' he replied. They both looked at each other and put together a plan to get the necessary information. 'I thought you wouldn't say anything Kocho', he said annoyed. 'I'm sorry Tomioka-San, but I didn't say anything, they won't think about it so much I'm sure.' '...I hope so,' Tomioka replied.
'Did you get information on where we can find it?' Iguro asked to which Sanemi nodded. 'Yes, I lied to Shinobu and she said I could find him near here. Confirm the information, it's near here, let's see what Tomioka had in his hands. Together they went looking for him, it didn't take long until they found him training, they separated in case he wanted to escape or someone wanted to help him. Sanemi slowly but quickly walked away from the place, Iguro approached him calling his attention 'Tanjiro Kamado'. The young man noticed and kept his katana to greet him 'Good morning, is something wrong?'
Iguro looked at his partner who was behind Tanjiro and sneaking up, 'Actually yes, I need you to answer us one thing.' Tanjiro looked at him confused 'But... It's only him', he thought and his thought was interrupted when someone picked him up. 'What's wrong?!', he had no time to react and was captured by the Wind Hashira. 'What's happening? I thought they had accepted my condition with Nezuko', he asked nervously. 'It's nothing like that, we want you to tell us Tomioka's secret', Iguro replied. Tanjiro didn't know what to do, he couldn't tell them, he had promised to keep that secret. 'Looks like it was right, you know that. Tell us what it is,' demanded Sanemi. 'N-no! I can't tell you! I promised Tomioka-san!' He looked at both Hashiras, thinking that they might let him go with that answer but they didn't. 'Well, if you don't want it the easy way, it must be the hard way, Tanjiro Kamado,' smiled Sanemi. In a quick movement he took Tanjiro's hands and raised them over his head, Tanjiro gulped as he already knew what they were going to do to him. 'Last chance, tell us,' but Tanjiro didn't give in to telling them. 'You asked for it'
Both Hashiras started to tickle his torso, he tried to hold on as long as he could not to laugh. 'So you're stubborn, huh?' Iguro immediately climbed up to his armpits and began to attack hard. Tanjiro couldn't resist laughing anymore 'NONONONO!!! HAHAHAHA!!! NAHAHAHAT THEHEHERE!!! IT'S SO BAHAHAHAD!!', he tried to lower his arms but it was no use. 'You can't take it, huh? You'd better tell us if you don't want us to continue', Sanemi mocked. 'NEVER!!!', Tanjiro still did not agree to what his captors asked. 'Well... We won't let you go until you tell us' 'WAHAHIT!!! NO NO NO!!! THAHAHAT'S NAHAHAHAT FAIR!!!', replied Tanjiro. Iguro started to match armpits, ribs and sides in different patterns, this drove Tanjiro crazy. This went on for several minutes, until Tanjiro couldn't take it anymore 'MEHEHEHERCY!!!!!! PLEHEHEHEHAHAHAHASE!!!! *snort* I WILL TELL!!! BUT PLEHEHAHAHASE STOP!!!'. 'It was about time', they stopped the attack but did not let him go in case he wanted to escape. 'Tomioka-San... It's extremely... Ticklish,' he replied embarrassed. 'Really? Our attack affected you quite a bit, it seemed like torture to you,' Iguro observed. 'That's right, it's time for Tomioka to know what it means to laugh,' Sanemi laughed.
'What are they going to do to him?' Tanjiro asked worriedly. 'You don't mind boy. Oi tell us, what is his worst spot? Tell us or we will continue with the attack', he threatened waving his fingers in the air. 'HIS RIBS!' Tanjiro shouted to avoid the attack. 'You see it? It wasn't that hard you idiot', Sanemi let Tanjiro go without warning him not to tell Tomioka about their plan, otherwise they wouldn't stop next time. 'Poor Tomioka-San,' Tanjiro thought as he watched them walk away.
'Oi Tomioka!' Sanemi called. Tomioka sighed and turned his body 'What's up now? I thought my temper bothered you,' he replied coldly. 'Yes, it bothers me and a lot. Haven't they taught you manners, have they?', Sanemi retorted. 'I don't have to answer that, don't you have anything else to tell me? If so, I'm leaving', he started to walk away from Sanemi but... 'CATCH HIM!', Sanemi yelled. Tomioka turned his neck a bit to see who he was talking to, bad mistake, he was quickly knocked down by Iguro. 'Where do you think you are going?'
'We got it!', Sanemi walked over to give Iguro a hand. 'Let me go!! If I bother you so much, why are you doing this?!', he yelled at them both. 'Lower your tone of voice when you speak to us. And we're doing it because we're going to teach you a lesson that will make your behavior change and hopefully you start to like us better', Iguro placed both hands on Tomioka's ribs, causing a shriek and trying to kick him. 'So he wasn't lying, you really are ticklish', Sanemi held Tomioka tightly 'Sit on his lap, I'll take care of keeping his arms up'. Both of them had Tomioka cornered, he had no chance to escape from both of them. 'Let me both go, you'll see how bad it will be when I put my hands on you', Tomioka frowned
'Oh, are you threatening us? You don't change, do you? Well, it looks like it's time we teach you a lesson that will last you a lifetime', Sanemi and Iguro gave a knowing look. Tomioka tried to remain calm, but the sensations would not allow him. A smile began to form on his face, he didn't want to give them the pleasure. 'Oi Iguro... Do you remember the move you made earlier? Do it', Iguro started running his fingers up and down all over Tomioka's ribcage. There was no pattern, he did it randomly and this caused Tomioka to be unable to maintain his sanity. 'QUIHIHIHIT IT!!!!! IGUHUHURO!! STOHOHOP!!!!'. This continued for several minutes 'What's wrong Tomioka? Can't you stand this? It's a shame, it's what you were looking for', Sanemi mocked. 'SAHAHAHANEHEMI!!! LET ME GOHOHO!!!!', Tomioka closed his eyes feeling that tears would soon start running down his cheeks. 'No', that was all it took for Tomioka to start kicking asking them to stop.
'You look like a worm, it's a shame really, I think we should tell the others and teach you a lesson too'. 'NO NO NO!!! DON'T DO THAT!!!' he pleaded. 'Hey Tomioka, I've always wondered, what happens if I do this?', Sanemi began to dig hard between the space between the ribs and the armpits. Tomioka arched his back so much that he lifted them both up. 'Woah! The jackpot!', Sanemi sneered. 'ACK!!!!! *snort* PLEHEHEHEHAHAHAHSE!!! *squeal* STAHAHAHAP!!!', tears began to flow, Tomioka couldn't take this torture any longer. 'Enough is enough', they both stopped when they heard that other voice. 'Thank you...Gyomei....', Tomioka smiled and was thankful that the Rock Hashira was nearby and stopped them. 'You're tired, please stop and leave', they both got up and walked away quickly. Gyomei reached out to help Tomioka 'Thanks again, I don't know how much longer I could have held on', he wiped away his tears and smiled at him. 'There is nothing to be thankful for, be more careful next time'
Tomioka nodded and again thanked. 'I will take revenge on you two, Iguro and Sanemi,' Tomioka told himself.

Jealous
A/N : I love scenarios when a Lee is jealous so the first thing that comes to mind when I think of those scenarios is Roman >_<
Summary: when Roman sees the other sides tickling Virgil he can't help but feel jealous.
â-------------------------------------------â
It was a day like any other, Logan reading a book on the couch, Virgil listening to music through headphones, Patton fiddling with Virgil's hair, and Roman watching TV. Nothing out of the ordinary really
"eeehehe Patton don't touch my ears"
"What's up kiddo, too ticklish?" Patton teased.
Roman looked in the direction of Patton and Virgil and couldn't help but blush when he saw such a scene in front of him.
"Guys, I-I think I'm hungry, I'll be right back" Roman said with a flushed face.
"You think? That sounds suspicious," Virgil said jokingly.
Roman got up from his seat and went to the kitchen to wet his hot cheeks. "Omg, what was that?!" Roman whispered, clutching his cheeks blushing again. He stayed in the kitchen until he stopped blushing.
He returned to the room hoping not to see the scene from before. But to his bad luck Patton kept tickling Virgil. "Can you stop?" Roman said with an annoyed tone, but it was nothing more than embarrassment.
"Roman? Any problem?" Patton said as the other sides stopped what they were doing to put their full attention on Roman.
"You are making a lot of noise"
"Well...we're just playing here with Virgil"
"I know, and you guys make a lot of noise"
Roman said before sitting back down and watching his favorite show, at this point the other sides were worried about the creative side that had not reacted very well.
It's not that Roman hated Virgil's laugh, he loved the laugh from the darker side, He was just embarrassed⊠he wanted to be tickled but he didn't know how to ask for it, he was jealous not in a bad way obviously.
"okay kid don't be grumpy" Patton said before pounced on the creative side and jabs his lower ribs.
"Nohoho i'm ahahangry heeeelp mehehehe"
"I don't know Mr. Angry I think you deserve to be tickled" Virgil teased.
Logan and Virgil moved closer and each began to attack Roman's hip bones while Patton held onto his arms tickling the back of his neck with his breath causing Roman to yell and howl as he couldn't stand the sensations.
"NOHOHOHO PLEHEHEASE HAHAHAHA!!" Roman was going crazy but he did his best to stay still and get more tickles.
He was definitely loving every second of his sweet torture.
"I see you're not really trying to escape, you're enjoying this aren't you?" Logan said. His hands moved up his sides to then insert a finger into his navel.
"WHAHAT?!! NOHOHOHO" Roman blushed and tried to squirm
"aww do you like tickling? It's okay because we're going to tickle you until you admit you like it," Patton teased. Then he started blowing raspberries on Roman's neck.
"NOHOHOHOT TRUHUHUE HAHA" Roman tried to hide his blushing face but it was practically impossible in that position
"Look how hard you laugh, we're not even in your worst place," Virgil said before drilling into Roman's armpits.
"trrrrrrrr" Virgil joked imitating a drill "we need help fixing it I think we need more drills~"
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" At this point the creative side couldn't even beg as everyone started "drilling" in their worst places.
"OKAYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
"Guys I think we should let him breathe..." Logan said leaving Roman as he massaged the phantom tickles to disappear.
"OKAHAHAY Ihihi LiHihike tihihickles" Roman admitted catching his breath as he hugged himself to avoid being attacked again
"awwww it's ok, next time don't be mad, ask about it" Patton said before snuggling with everyone on the couch.
"Thanks guys...and I'm sorry for being grumpy" Roman sighed happily before sinking into the embrace of his lovers.
"It's okay Mr.Giggles" Virgil joked enjoying the good time.
They had a beautiful beautiful day....đ

a/n: yes itâs me experimenting out of my comfort zone again. yes you are required by law to listen to keshi while reading this hahahaha anyway writing this was painful. <3 (aka today i tried writing very complex human emotions and failed again. classic.)

In the beginning, there was no beginning. Ergo, this isnât really a thing.
You shouldnât be thinking of summer in Introduction to Latin. You are a good (perhaps great, if your ego allows) student after all. Here you are, though, listening to the ticking of the clock and wondering if you sigh loud enough, you wonât have to construct another sentence with the word for âdeathâ. You pause to tell yourself that you shouldnât be thinking of summer out of class either. Unremarkable; that's what it was and you donât like unremarkable things.
When two people end up alone together, thereâs not much to make of.
âYou know,â he had said, locking eyes. âWe should get out of here.â
âAnd then what?â
âFuck.â
So hereâs the thing: this isnât and wonât be a thing.
Doyoung has never been subtle when drunk, you found out, and heâs not as gentle as he looks. You flip the page of your notebook absentmindedly. You donât like where your thoughts are going; the clinking of ice against glass rings in your ears again. Itâs been far too long (one whole month) and youâre craving a bit of fun. You may forget yourself but youâre reaching your fingertips a little too far to call him again. More excuses pop up. See, in your world of perfection, thereâs a hierarchy of things; men rank rather low.
(Fun doesnât.)
Hereâs another thing: you forget yourself quite often. You know very well that youâre the one who continued this not-thing and now youâre daydreaming of Kim Doyoung in class hours.
And under grey bed sheets with a tired smile, Doyoung is hard to forget.
It was a party, it always is. That time, however, was the first party of the year Doyoung and you happened to be attending at the same time. You canât remember who hosted itâthe frat probablyâbut it was at a bar called the âThe Meeting Placeâ which had too many people you didnât care about. Doyoung was there, in his laid-back glory, and you were drawn in far too easily. Being single did not help your caseâand the alcohol certainly didnât. Youâre not sure if it was the gentle touches against your wrist or quick words that left his mouth or the attractive all-black get-up. All you know is that it was your mouth against his by the end of the night in a small booth, hot and impatient. Once, twice, thrice and you didnât even need parties anymore.
Itâs not like you werenât aware of what you were doing; itâs just that you were quick to give inâlike you didnât want to resist in the first place. And now, summer smells like Doyoungâs perfume.
The first night had given Mr. Student Body President a near-stroke. You werenât the type to sleep with strange (semi-acquainted) men at parties either so the morning had been full of awkward explanations to each other till youâd kissed him to shut him up (much like in a disgusting romantic comedy, minus the feelings) and somehow, it worked. He didnât refuse and if you recall, heâd eventually pulled you closer by the waist.
You huff, twirling your pen. Heâd never admit it.
You didnât kiss so sloppily after that, unless it was to make out against a wall or while fumbling with the keys to your apartment. The lack of alcohol can bring wonders. You were a little surprised that heâd agreedâhe is the Doyoung youâve known since freshman year after all; blunt, rude, cares more for his grades than heâd ever for you. How laughable. Heâs almost the same as you.
Hereâs one last thing: Kim Doyoung is not and cannot be your type.
You had the same part-time job in your second semester at a local fast food joint, and to summarize, your interactions were less than friendly. You canât possibly count the number of times he yelled at you for trivial mistakes, and the number of times you sent angry, clipped sentences his way. So, yes, neither of you have told anyoneâjust acting friendly got you enough eyebrow raises. If thereâs anything worse than contradicting yourself almost directly, itâs having to explain that to your friends. So, you kept it a secret and so did he, for his own reasons.
You massage your forehead. If you think any more of this during class hours, youâre going to have to classify this as a terrible, terrible problem; like you donât have enough already. You tune in to the lecture again, hoping it drowns out the rest of your thoughts.
You tap your pen against the desk till youâre asked to stop by the professor. There goes your last resort. It isnât the first time, but you breathe a sigh of relief at the hands of the clock. Casual means casualâyou know it better than anyone. Maybe it would be easier if you could be more open about it. But you canât. Your own problems aside, Doyoung would kill you if his reputation went down, even a nick. Men like that are so difficult, you curse to yourself.
You run into Ten in the hallways, brightening at his absurdly wide grin. In fact, you havenât seen him remotely upset since freshman year, when he couldnât join the dance club, not because he failed the audition but because he mixed up the dates and missed it entirely. (Itâs okay; he got in the next year.)
âGuess what!â he yells before youâre even in conversation range.
âWhat?â you yell back.
âNo, guess,â he says, when youâre close enough.
You roll your eyes. âYou scored a date?â
Ten deadpans. âNo. I donât even want one.â
âLoser.â
âNo, you.â
âHow clever.â
Ten flicks your forehead with no provocation whatsoever, making you yelp in pain. After a minute of cursing on your part, he squishes your cheeks to bring you back to realityâlike he wasnât the cause. You bite your lip to keep yourself from scowling. His hair is still light brown from the bleach, and you fix his bangs out of habit; your dumb friends are all you have at the end of the day. You sigh. They all lean on you unwittingly.
âAnyway, the news? Iâm not guessing anything else,â you warn, taking a sip of your coffee.
âWell,â he draws out the syllable. âI heard- know youâre into the smart type. You know, student council kinda guys? SoâŠâ
You choke, the coffee leaving your mouth just as quick as it entered.
âWho told you that?â The laugh that leaves your mouth is forced and certainly fake but itâs the best you can do.
Ten rolls her eyes, still smiling. âI was thinking if you would be interested in a certain Park Hyungmin.â
Oh. Student body vice-president. Heâs most definitely your type, with a gifted body and equally strong academic prowessânot to mention perfectly maintained tan skin and the most radiant smile youâve ever seen in your life.
âOh, yeah, heâs hot,â you nod in agreement. âWhat do you want me to do with him?â
âHe likes you. Like, totally has the hots for you. And I owe him so please help me out here.â
You furrow your brows, heaving a deep sigh.
âYou...want me to go on a date with him?â you ask.
You can oblige. Park Hyungmin is the hottest dude on campus (probably). Itâs a win-win situationâin fact, itâs even better. A certain bitter taste finds itself in your mouth. It must be the coffee. You swallow it.
âYeah.â
And the dealâs done.
It was casual commitment, like most things you do for fun. You donât think much of it, and the thought takes its final bow when you run into Doyoung himself.
Well, sort of.
You turn heel when he appears in your line of sight, pretending to fix your hair against a damn wall. You arenât quite ready to face him yet, considering the coffee hasnât kicked inâitâs not healthy how much you depend on it. Dependence is different, however, from consciously drowning yourself in it.
See, Doyoung is anything but tolerable without a few shots of vodka. Or after sex. Or when heâs mumbling in his sleep. And you canât erase any of those scenes. This is you trying to save yourself (and Doyoung) from embarrassment and a whole lot of explanation.
His coat looks expensive and youâd rather he had it on instead of on his arm. The tucked-in sweater and pants combo accentuates the line of his waist and the colourâyou wonder where he found a teal so fittingâlooks serene in the crowd. Heâs wearing his glasses though, looking a little less put together than usual. Still, no one seems to notice and he continues to explain something to his group of friends.
God forbid you find Doyoung attractive during daytime.
His lips are chapped but pink as ever, the hair messed up by either the wind or his friendsâyou should stop staring by now. You give in. Youâll text him to book a hotel room tonight.
Sometimes you wonder how he has that large a friend circle, and always, the question answers itself. Eloquence, wit and regrettably, good looksâwhat does he lack? Maybe if he lost the habit to nag people around fifty-six times a day, heâd be the perfect man.
An arm slings over your shoulder, punting the soul right out of your body.
âFuck, Johnny, donât do that,â you hiss, placing your hand over your chest involuntarily.
The head of the photography club apparently spends his time terrorizing everyone he remotely knows. You make a foul expression but iItâs not like he ever minds your scowling. He says heâs had enough practice from teasing Doyoung (and youâll admit, itâs the only time you feel sorry for him). You were certain Doyoung would have filed him for harassment sometime in sophomore year.
âWhat are you even looking at?â Johnny asks, raising an eyebrow at the plain offwhite expanse of the wall in front of you.
You feel hot at the neck. âI was fixing my hair.â
âIn front of a wall?â
You click your tongue. âDo you not have class?â
âOh, donât be so quick to send me off.â He places a hand over his chest in mock hurt, fingers stretched delicately.
To your dismay, the rest of his friends gather around giving you happy greetingsâgreetings only carefree college boys are capable of delivering. To your further dismay, Kim Doyoung arches an eyebrow at you, the same way he does on nights youâre doing things less than appropriate to think of in broad daylight.
âHey, Doyoung, donât you have anything to say? Or were you too drunk to remember?â
You bite down on your lip a little too hard. Doyoung, on the other hand, looks like heâs just seen God, stammering out a âwhat?â nevertheless.
âWerenât you supposed to buy (name) a drink for driving you home that night?â
âRight,â he says, clearing his throat.
Oh, heâs bought you a drink enough times. Summer has waned but whatever thread you tied around your wrists hasnât. Right now, your guess is that Doyoung has been ensnared in the common ritual for college boys to walk around campus and declare their friend is single just to embarrass him (or by some miracle, score him a date).
Everything, apart from the way you look at Doyoung, feels like a charade. You shake your head with a quick laugh, smacking Johnny in the arm and pay your condolences to Doyoungâkeep it light. Youâre good at it, or pretending youâre good at it, at the very least.
Doyoungâs gaze on you lingers for a moment and then you breathe. Youâre going to be late for classâyou offer the classic excuse and youâre out of there. In a way, itâs exciting. Youâve always wanted to have a secret relationship, even if this isnât a real one.
Doyoung is like the summer breeze, and youâd like for him to stay that way.

The next time you grace each otherâs presence is when Doyoungâs tongue is in your mouth and his hands are running up under your shirt.
Heâs quite a pretty sightâmessy hair, red lips and rosy cheeks. He moans into the kiss as he has quite a few times now and thereâs the loversâ high running through either of your minds. When he presses his lips to your neck, a soft restrained sound escapes you, not quite prepared for the sting of electricity through your skin. He moves to your collarbone and shoulders and then even lower, hands gripping your waist tight. The walls do not have ears here; these hotels are cheap but theyâre built for privacy and maybe youâll let yourself believe for once that you can belong to someone.
âWhy did you text me in the middle of the goddamn night?â he mutters against the base of your neck.
âYou want reasons now?â you whisper, hands running through his hair.
Doyoung has pretty fingers, pressing at the right places and prettier eyes that look at you with something akin to, dare you say it, love. He kisses you like he hasnât had enough; and it makes you feel important.
Heâs even better when heâs annoyed.
You wake up at around five in the morning. Propping yourself up on one arm, you take a moment to look at your partner. Itâs easy to make out the line of his nose against the pillow, and if you focus, you can see his lashes against his cheek and his dark mop of hair clinging to his forehead. However gentle the moonlight is, it is kindest on a lover.
Funny.
Too tired to sneak out, you go back to sleep.

âAll Iâm saying is that you have too much coffee,â Doyoung complains, slipping on his loose black sweatshirt. âIt canât be good for your health.â
You shake your head, scrolling through your phone as you lay on your belly. Youâve seen this view enough timesâhis back to you and sitting at the opposite edge of the bed, his incessant complaints and opinions about something that happened recently, running his hand through his hair when he sighs. You press on the calendar app and type in a note labeled âxâ. Keeping tabs isnât a bad thing; especially if you like order. Spending too many nights with someone is going to land you in trouble. That said, if you could trap love in a bottle, you would.
âYou taste like coffee,â Doyoung adds with reddening ears.
Sometimes, itâs easy to ignore what he says if you listen to the sound of his voice instead. You sit up, scooting closer as Doyoung shoots you an alarmed look. Heâs so cute like this; something about all the painted fences he puts up around him makes you want to lean in closer.
âSo,â you poke his side. âHow many relationships have you been in? Proper ones.â
âThree,â he answers, to your surprise.
Your eyebrows shoot up. âThatâs more than Iâve been in!â
Doyoung furrows his. âHow many have you been in?â
âOne.â
He seems equally surprised but doesnât probe further. After all, the price sticker that spells âyouthâ clings to his forehead just as it clings to yours.
âHow many people have you fucked?â you ask suddenly, enjoying the visible flush across his neck.
âYouâre doing this on purpose,â he notes, flicking your forehead.
âOw!â You place your palm against your forehead. âOkay, I get it, you have nothing to brag about.â
He shakes his head, an exasperated sigh leaving him. âI just donât think you have to know. I like privacy.â
âWait.â You gasp. âDonât tell me- That night- donât tell me you were a virginââ
Doyoung squishes your cheeks between his thumb and forefinger, a laugh erupting from your mouth.
âWhoâs a virgin?â
Nothing about this, you find yourself realizing, is complicated. Itâs easy, gentle, natural, like a breath of fresh airâeverything but complicated. Even under dim lights and within the depths of night, Doyoung is warm and uncomplicated. His chest, his hands, his lipsâthey are warm, as are his words.
But Doyoung is a fucking fairytale.
Even after these few months, all you know about him, in the definitive format, is that he plays the keys for more hours than he sleeps. What he does for fun, what his classes are, how he became student body presidentâyou could play guessing games all night.
âDo your friends know where you spend your nights?â you ask, leaning back against the pillows.
âThey know what Iâm doing, not who Iâm with,â he responds, running his fingers through his hair.
You purse your lips. Itâs nothing hurtful but you donât like the hush-hush in his tone.
âWhy not?â
âBecause this is a secret,â he responds as if itâs the most natural thing in the world. âDo you want them to know?â
Heâs right.
âAh, whatever,â you mutter, a stream of curses following when your elbow collides hard with the edge of the bedside table.
âYour mouth is filthy.â He looks away to his phone. âI donât swear as much.â
âWell, of course it is. I had yourââ
Doyoung presses his palm against your lips with a tired sigh. âPlease. Donât speak. For the sake of my sanity.â
You smile under his hand and he returns it; and the November morning warms up.

âWhere were you last night?â
You were expecting the question. Areum is the worst possible candidate for a roommate if you want some privacy. You donât think she ever sleeps; sometimes, you wonder if she even showers because all she does is stare at her laptop screen and adjust her designs. Her lips are always chapped and her hair is always in a simple low ponytail but somehow still messy. Youâve never met someone so exhausted yet so full of life at the same time.
âWho were you with last night?â Eunji yells from the bathroom, before the two of them laugh.
You knew you shouldnât have stayed the morning. You have the nosiest roommates anyone could (not) ask for. But theyâre still your friends, you tell yourself begrudgingly. You would tell them about Doyoung if it werenât for Eunjiâs big mouth and Areumâs lack of common sense. And if it werenât for the inherent comfort of privacy.
(Some part of you wants to keep him to yourself. You donât care about student council president Doyoung or his friend groupâs everything-regulator Doyoung or always-has-his-shit-together Doyoung. The one in your bed is the most loving.)
Areum adjusts her glasses, narrowing her eyes at you. âSo? Any answer?â
You break out of your daydream at her voice, feeling a flush creep up your neck.
âI donât have to explain anything,â you retort, snatching the coffee she brewed from the tabletop. âIt was a Friday night and the two of you like Netflix more than me.â
âThatâs mine,â Areum mumbles out a weak complaint.
âBut donât go out alone,â Eunji whines. âIt canât be safe.â
You laugh. âYou know me. I donât do anything too dangerous. Besides, you guys have that tracker app.â
They shrug, offering you a thin smile. A part of you is happy that they trust you but another part wonders what it would be like to be worried over. Maybe getting nagged isnât so bad.
You take a sip of Areumâs coffee and almost spit it out right back.
âDid you add salt?â you ask, wiping at your mouth and hoping the taste disappears.
âUh.â A reply so intelligent, you wonder if she ever pays attention to anything she's doing.
You take a moment (a few), sigh (several times) and make your way to the shelves. Grumbling, you make her a proper cup of coffee before you leave.
Classes donât wait for you (even if you think they should) and the world doesnât wait for you (again, you think it should wait for people) so youâve made it a point to understand the whole deal about rules. If everyone followed the rules, it would be quite a pretty scene; messing up is only valid if itâs done prettily. You laugh at the thought. Thatâs near impossible. The bus ride to the campus consists of music and thoughts of bleak tomorrowsâan average commute for college kids, you think. You sure hope you arenât alone in this.
Doyoung smiles at you in the hallway today, and despite your best efforts, it makes your day smell a little fresher.
Your day: classes, coffee break, classes, complaining with Ten, assignments, âmeâ time. For someone who pretends to be laid back, you use your planner as though for survival. Thereâs no sticky notes or colourful sketches (except on occasion); just good old fashioned to-do lists and a calendar marked with time youâve spent on productivity. Every day is a list to be completed. If people call routine a man-made cage, instinct is the biological cage. Youâd rather be in control of the cage youâre in. Youâd rather be in control of yourself. Itâs scary otherwise.
So you know how to get the job doneâitâs ingrained into you the same way you would place your hands over your ears at loud sounds, or the way you would run to your bed in the dark after switching off the lights.
It never occurs to you that the reason your world is so perfect is a sad one.

Sometime next month, itâs going to snow. Not yet though, and itâs still too cold.
The inside of the cafe helps the slightest, the heaters situated far back from where you sit. Christmas decorations are up already and the combination of red and green meshes delightfully into the form of an aching headache. The wood paneling on the walls are worn at the corners, the garlands hardly covering them, and the barista behind the counter seems as gloomy as the decorations are bright. You wouldnât be noticing all of this if you werenât stuck in one position.
You lean your cheek further into your palm and sigh, only this time Ten asks you to, quote, âshut the fuck upâ.
He pulls up his sleeve and reaches for another pencil. His cryptic process continues, as it has been for the past half an hour and you feel yourself getting impatient, trying to not bounce your leg and get another bout of quibbling from your half-mad artist friend. You donât usually run low on patience; but Ten has a special pass to test drive it.
âHow much lonââ
âShh!â He hushes you quickly. You canât remember why you agreed to being his portrait study subject but you sure as hell regret it.
Around fifteen minutes later, you take a (permitted) breath. You have neither the energy nor the neck strength to glare at Ten but you make sure to show your displeasure by snatching the cookies from the table with a particularly sour look. He gets up and pushes you to the side of the small worn-out couch offered by the equally small booth.
âGod, that chair was uncomfortable. My butt is frozen solid,â he lets you know, and you roll your eyes.
âYou know, if we werenât friends in high school, I would never be friends with you,â you state.
Ten tilts his head to the side, a mocking pout over his lips. âI would die without you, (name). Really.â
You smack his arm and he yelps, smacking your arm right back. The sound attracts some attention and giggles, and you make a gagging gesture to let them know you are in way or form in a relationship. The low-volume music changes to something with a more distinguishable beat, the sound of doors opening and closing almost every two minutes accompanying. Arriving on time is an accomplishment, especially arriving before rush hour on Fridays at the only decent cafe on campus, but both of your classes end early and there is no way you arenât taking advantage of that. Leaving, however, is mostly done when youâre being glared at by the waiters and waitresses.
âDoyoung asked about you,â Ten says, all of a sudden. âKim Doyoung.â
You try to not show concern, but raise an eyebrow. âWhat? So? Heâs not my type or anything.â
You bite your tongue. That was too quick a response, too obvious. Your cheeks grow hot. Ten doesn't say anything, however, and for a moment, you think youâre in safe waters.
âAre you guys⊠into each other or not?â
You cough, trying to show your surprise at something so outrageous. âWhy would you think that? Does he look like someone who dates around?â
âActually, heâs been on quite a few dates.â
âNo way.â
You know that. Heâs told you about it before, in vague references, but you know about them nonetheless.
âIsnât one student council guy enough?â you mumble. âWhy are we talking about Doyoung?â
He shrugs, a familiar feline smile on his face. âJust asking. He talks about you sometimes. Actually, we forced it out of him but whatever.â
You shake your head. âYouâre all terrible.â
âYou seem to like him though.â
âWho said that?â
Ten sighs, ignoring your question. âIf you guys are datingââ
âWeâre not.â
ââor fuckingââ
âTen.â
ââyou should learn a thing or two about him. The guyâs not as annoying as he looks. Or stuck-up. Heâs really nice but donât tell him I said that.â
âI know that,â you snap, feeling warm at the neck all of a sudden. âI know him.â
âOh, you do? Tell me what his hobbies are then. Or his major. Or the clubs heâs in, apart from the student council.â
âHe- He likes to sing and heâs- heâsâgod, what is this? An interrogation? Iâm not going to meet his mom for dinner.â
Ten gives you an âI knew itâ look before leaning his elbow onto the table. âYouâre sleeping with a guy you donât know anything about. Serial killers would love you.â
You massage your forehead. âLook, I know heâs a good guy, okay? And heâs sweet- and- andâwait a minute. Oh my god, you tricked me.â
Ten lets out a snort. âHey. Okay, look, the other guys might be dumb as shit but I have, you know, a working set of eyes. I can tell. Itâs not that hard.â
You grumble but the catâs out of the bag anyway. You shouldâve known Ten would figure it outâheâs a nosy little shit, and heâs been that way since high school.
âWhatever. As long as Doyoung doesnât start panicking about his tarnished reputation or whatever.â
âOh, I think heâs desperate to let everyone know.â
âTo you, Ten, everything seems obvious. Itâs annoying.â You mess up his hair.
âNo, I mean, I thought you were dating.â
âWell, weâre not.â
Ten shrugs.
âAnd I donât like him,â you add. âI like the- the thing thatâs going on because thereâs no feelings attached.â
He looks somewhat pained, eyebrows furrowed and lips pursed, but doesnât respond to your explanation. âCan I ask for a favour?â
âNo.â
Ten sighs. âCome on. You didnât even hear me out.â
âYouâre going to say something stupid. Or insulting.â
âItâs neither, promise.â
You run your hand through your hair, breathing shallow. âFine. I donât have to agree though.â
Ten purses his lips. âItâd be better if you did.â
You hum in response, biting into the cookie and trying to ignore the glare from the nearby waitress. Itâs about time you left anyway.
âGet to know him, dude. Donât break his heart.â
âWhat?â
âJust kidding. Thereâs a party tonight. Hosted by yours truly. Finally moved out of that stinky dorm room. Bring over some friends but not more than three. And lend me some money for a juicebox.â
âThatâs a lot,â you mutter. âYou ask for a lot of favours.â
âOh, speaking of which, Hyungminââ
âHe already asked me out on a date. Am I supposed to say no? You never mentioned he has such an attractive voice.â
âOh, Iâm not telling you to not go on that date. You have to, actually. Iâm going to be in a lot of trouble otherwise.â
âThat sounds good to me.â
âShut up. Iâm not done speaking.â
You roll your eyes.
âBut if you didnât, I could draw some conclusions.â
âWhat am I, your chemistry experiment now?â
âWell, you and Doyoung seem to beââ
âDonât complete that sentence.â
âI was going to say something funny.â
Ten flashes you a blinding smile and you sigh. By now, youâre about to get kicked out of here so you stand up discreetly while he packs up his stuff. You hug your jacket close to you as soon as you leave, shivering at the evening breeze. The sky is inky, but with a faint sort of inkâdeep blue and light, all at once. From the crowd, you can tell classes just got over for quite a few people, eclectic chatter filling up the street.
âFine. Iâll bring Eunji,â you tell Ten after some contemplation. âAnd whoever else responds to my text first. Areum never leaves the room. You know that.â
âThanks, (name)!â he messes up your hair. âI would give you a kiss but someone will end up punching my pretty face.â
You furrow your brows. âWell, youâre not my type anyway.â
âIâm too good for you,â he responds in a sing-song manner, waving at you before running off and disappearing into the university crowd.

Thereâs always a sort of buzz in the air you canât quite describe at college parties.
Even if this is a relatively small one, you feel an oncoming headache the moment you enter Tenâs new apartment, which youâre sure had a âno partiesâ rule in the rental contract. You spot Kun, Tenâs roommate from the dorms and he flashes you a quick smile in greeting before heâs swept up by a doting crowd. Apparently, a cute guy in animal sciences is rare and it makes him rather popular.
Eunji disappears from your side the moment she spots Johnny, and the number of eye rolls youâve given her havenât warned her off him yet. You suppose it takes heartbreak to change a person. Sighing, you make your way to the kitchen only to be greeted with the strange sight of Yuta trying to balance Jaehyun on his back so they can imitate some anime formation and back out immediately. Living room, it is, despite its populous space. (You donât really want to think of bedrooms right now.)
The apartment is quite big for what Ten told you the rent was. The hallway to the two bedrooms is narrow but you suppose something has to be sacrificed for space. You furrow your eyebrows at the two bedroom doors. Ten never said he was getting a roommate. You shrug it off, sitting down on the rather stiff couch. The lack of furniture, apart from the couch and a coffee table, makes the place look even larger and people sparse. You like the beige walls; Tenâs always loved warmer colours but something makes you think heâs going to be ruining them in a few days with garish green paint before he comes crying about that to you.
âHey.â
You look up to the familiar voice, heart rising to your throat.
âYou look like youâve seen a ghost,â Doyoung remarks before sitting down beside you and offering you a cup of god-knows-what.
âI donât take drinks from strange men,â you say, biting down your smile and crossing your arms.
âIf you didnât take drinks from strange men, we wouldnât be fuââ
âDoyoung!â you hiss before looking at him with careful suspicion. âAre you drunk?â
âNo. A little bit. Not enough.â
You sigh. âHow will you get home now?â
âI live here, idiot.â
âYouâre- Youâre Tenâs roommate?â you sputter.
âYeah. New one,â he responds. âHe used to live across our room in the dorms, I canât believe I actually agreed to this.â
âI canât believe it either. Iâve seen cats and dogs friendlier with each other than the two of you.â
Doyoung laughs. âHeâs surprisingly one of the better people to room with. Iâd rather eat my own blanket than room with Yuta again.â
You laugh at his irked expression, eyebrows furrowed so cutely. The line of his brow bone to nose to lips, it seems a little too perfect to belong to someone. He relaxes his shoulders a little, leaning back on the couch as he looks somewhat lost in thought. (âYou think too much,â youâd told him once. âAnd you think too little.â) If only that were true, you smile to yourself.
âAre you sure you can hold parties here?â you as when the music suddenly rises in volume.
âWell, it said student-friendly,â Doyoung responds, looking visibly disturbed. âNot sure if I want to test the limits of that so early.â
Thereâs a pause, filled in with loud pop music. You donât think Ten, your dear introvert, would have agreed to such a party but thereâs a chance Johnny or Jaehyun had something to do with this. You donât know who to suspect when it comes to their group of friends.
âI still canât believe youâre rooming with Ten.â You look at Doyoung.
âWell, that makes, what, eleven of us, I guess?â
You laugh, feeling conscious all of sudden. Maybe you should listen to Tenâs advice.
âDoyoung,â you call, looking at the cup in your hands a little too passionately. âWhatâs your major?â
He looks at you with eyes widened ever so slightly, and a pause over his lips.
âLinguistics,â he answers.
âOh. You said something about it once,â you mumble, recalling something vague about an assignment of his. âYou know mine?â
âYeah,â he answers, eyes cast on his watch.
âWell, that makes me feel a little guilty,â you mumble as softly as you can.
âYou should be,â he says. âYou never listen to anything I say.â
You scoff. âYou just complain most of the time.â
âReally now?â
âYes,â you snap, looking away.
You look back again when you hear the sound of Doyoungâs laugh, a distinct brightness in it. Sometimes, you wonder if you really are as awful as youâve made yourself be.
âYouâre cute,â he says. âNo wonder everyone is so in love with you.â
For a moment, you think heâs going to kiss you.
âEveryone?â you laugh. You donât care about everyone. Itâs burdensome.
âEveryone. They hate you too, by the way.â He smiles to himself. âHeard youâre going on a date with that dimwit. Hyungmin.â
You feel a sudden discomfort in your being. Taking a sip of the drink, you try to shake it off as best as you can.
âYeah, I- I donât think Iâll go,â you say, waving it off.
Why are you lying? You left it hanging on a maybe. Part of you wants to tell Doyoung; he is your friend after all and you tell friends stuff like this. The other part tells you this is cheating; lying and pretending everything is okayâit feels like cheating.
âOh.â He looks lost before he focuses on you. âWhy not?â
âWhy do you care?â you ask, trying desperately to calm the uprising in your chest.
He stays quiet for a few seconds and then shrugs, looking away from you. It makes you feel a little guilty to dismiss the situation so quickly, another item to add to your troubles. You sigh.
âSorry,â you say. âI didnât mean it like that.â
âNo, itâs okay. Youâre right.â You can see his Adam's apple bob up and down.
âIâm not,â you say. âIâm wrong. I really didnât mean it.â
He looks at you all at once, his gaze so gentle that it makes you think he wants to kiss you, or do something equally affectionate. Instead he sighs, downing whateverâs left of his drink before a wash of sudden looseness does away with the tension in his body.
âYou have any more questions for me?â he asks, smiling. âWhat's it like to be student body presidentâor, or what instruments can I play? My favourite animal? Colour?â
You smile back. âWhat is your favourite animal?â
âI donât have one. Donât like them. Unless itâs a soft toy.â
âNo way. Youâre lying.â
âNow, I answer your questions and you call me a liar? Makes me a little hesitant to answer the next.â
You roll your eyes. âOkay, next then. Why didnât you join the frat? All your friends are in it.â
âHurts my ego.â
You laugh. Heâs still probably an honorary member. There is no way heâs apart from friends for too long with all those feelings of fraternity he has, no matter what he says. Itâs the same as you. Affection leads nowhere though; just to short-lived moments of comfort.
You realize, through the course of the night, that you never asked. How he got into the student council, what his classes are, what he does for funâyou never asked. Itâs almost like you didnât want to know.
How sad, you muse to yourself, to be this way. To be so wrapped up in your own problems that you fail to see people around you. Pity, however, isnât something to feel at a party. You talk with Doyoung for the rest of the night till the sound of his voice makes you feel certain ghosts of butterflies, and till you have to take Eunji home before she does something she regrets. This is what it really means to have the price tag of âyouthâ strung across you perhapsâwhen you feel old and immature all at once, and in between, when you feel nothing at all.

Doyoung is too old to mistake love. Or too young.
Labels donât define anything, especially when it comes to relationshipsâso even if he calls it love, whispers it to himself at midnight when heâs sitting alone on his bed while his friends are passed out drunk on the floor, it is empty. And then thereâs you. The heat of your skin, the curse of your smile and that cheeky laugh you do to get on his nerves. He wants all of it and heâs not ashamedâbut heâd be a liar to say he can shout it to the whole world. Heâs not that kind of man, and what is his can remain his without the rest of the world prying its damn fingers in. The first night, no, the secondâthird? He canât remember which night it was but something pent up in him exploded and he didnât try to control it for once.
âOw,â he mutters.
His throat burns from the whiskey. He hates drinking alone but youâre either asleep or with friends and he canât think of anyone else but you. He tugs at the turtleneck collar, getting uncomfortable by the minute, and then proceeds to take off his coat.
For a moment, he considers getting back to the living room. There were more than enough people with lingering touches against his shoulder and longing gazesâtheyâre not you. He leans back onto his bed. Another hour and everyone will be gone; why did he even let them hold a party in the first place? Parties just remind him of youâhe takes a whiff and smells summer and lemon vodka all of a sudden. A deep sigh leaves his lips.
You might not seem to find yourself especially sad, but Doyoung finds something oddly touching about you. Maybe itâs the way you say his name, he muses, like youâre desperately trying to fill the gaps. But it canât be him in particular, of courseâitâs a lover, any lover.
He hates long nights, just as he hates winter but lately, they havenât been feeling too cold. Isnât it ridiculous the way heâs running after you? Doyoung was never meant for this. Itâs fucking pathetic and it makes him want to tear all his hair out but there he is, still and quiet in the same place. A certain agony makes its way through him. His hands are freezing and yet his insides are burningânothing makes sense and right now, he doesnât want it to. He presses his cold hands to the warmth of his cheeks and a laugh erupts from his mouth.
He must be going crazy to laugh like this in an empty room. The car lights from the window travel slowly from wall to ceiling, the only thing moving in the stagnant of his room.
Inevitably, he thinks of the end. It should come quick; in fact, heâs never been one to do this. Heâs always been someone to get attached to people. He doesnât know how the end will come because this shouldnât have begun in the first place.
Doyoungâs out of breath.
âCrazy bastard,â he mumbles to himself, followed by a groan when he lifts his head up. As if on cue, the door opens and shuts with a bang. Ten walks in looking drowsy, running his hand through his hair with a disgruntled face.
âI hate to say this,â he slurs. âBut youâre right. We canât have extra furniture and parties. Gotta choose one.â
Ten lays down flat on the bed. âI vote out that ugly ass clock you bought. Why do we need it? We have phones and laptops.â
âIt was a gift,â Doyoung mutters.
âOh. Uh. Actually, someone already, uhââ
âLeave it. Weâll talk about that in the morning.â
Doyoung massages his forehead, groaning at the pain when Ten suddenly decides heâs all up for cuddling.
âEw,â he says, scooting away from Ten. âGet away from me.â
âYou donât mean that,â Ten whines, trying very hard to pull Doyoung into a hug. Of course, his attempts are blocked by Doyoungâs palm against his forehead.
After a few more seconds of trying, Ten huffs and turns away, crossing his arms. âI donât like you anyway.â
âI know,â Doyoung mutters.
Ten erupts into laughter, sounding more like a psychopath than a close friend of his.
âYou do that every time you like someone?â he asks in between fits.
Doyoung raises an eyebrow. âI just saidâokay, yeah. Whatever.â
Thereâs a much needed silence and Doyoung wonders if he can just fall asleep without kicking Ten out.
âYou should tell (name),â Ten says all of a sudden, Doyoungâs heart stopping at your name.
âWhat?â he whispers.
Ten looks at him as though heâs talking to a particularly stupid child. It makes Doyoung scowl but thereâs too much alcohol in his system to know if he really means it.
âYou donât- youâre- everyone in this goddamn building knows,â Ten explains, exasperated. âJaehyun knows, and heâs the densest kid Iâve ever met. God, if you like (name), go for it.â
Doyoung blushes so deep, he considers pressing his palms to his cheeks again. He thinks for the next few moments. Ah well, if they had to find out, heâs glad he didnât have to declare it himself.
âWhatever, just ask (name) out. It canât be that complicated.â
Except it is. You donât have to spell it out for himâhe knows the way you feel. The two of you only ever wanted one thing out of this. But if thereâs something Doyoung isnât good at, itâs keeping his mouth shut. He wonders how many times he let it slip, wonders if you even care enough to notice. God, itâs starting to sound pitiful for him.
âTen. How much did you drink?â Doyoung asks, raising his head.
âNothing. None. Iâm not drunk.â Ten shrugs. âJust sleepy.â
A âwowâ is all Doyoung can respond with. He still isnât quite finished figuring out what sort of horrific planet Ten stumbled from. A notification ding distracts him from kicking Ten off his bed and he has half a mind to toss it onto the bedside table but itâs still half. He softens almost immediately.
Itâs a text from you: a âuâ followed by a smiley face and then a meme he canât quite read through hazy eyes. He finds himself smiling anyway and sends a barrage of emojis, whatever he finds because he likes the way you get annoyed at them. Sighing, he decides thatâs enough. Heâs not in the right state of mind for conversation.
Doyoung shuts his phone off, attempts to push Ten off the bed one last time before closing his eyes and dozing off.

Not every day is meant to be funâyou know that in your twentiesâbut itâs still somewhat disappointing to have bad days. Like youth is meant to give you some sort of happiness daily. Thatâs what they make it sound like.
You groan, rubbing at your back. Sitting at your study desk for so long does not have good long term effects. At least, your temporary, meaningless assignments are done. You scowl at the text on your laptop screen; the more you look at it, the more you hate it and so, you shut it off. Itâs not like your pissy professor is going to be impressed by anything you do. However, you like the orderly certainty of schoolwork.
Break time consists of guilt and sugary snacks. Youâre done with most everything and you suppose leaving the final review of things to a later date canât hurt. In fact, it sounds rather appeasing. A few more moments pass in making a decision.
You get dressed. The apartment feels eerie all alone, and youâre sure as hell not going to spend the rest of your evening here. You shiver, quickly striding out the front door and locking it before taking out your phone.
People misunderstand winter. Winter is only the end of things; and sometimes, the beginning. It isnât cruel or crushing, itâs just taking its course. However, you have a tendency to blame seasons for all that happen in it. For instance, you shouldnât be missing summer when you really miss the first night with Doyoung.
He picks up after calling thrice. You wonder what heâs even up to, if Saturday evenings are also booked full for such a guy.
âWhy do you take so long to pick up?â you complain. âDo you not get days off?â
âIâm busy,â he hisses.
Somethingâs wrong.
You pause, unsure what to do. Itâs not his voice but the one in the background that catches your attention.
Inviting him somewhere.
Rather sensually.
Your ears feel hot and you drop the call. Of course. Of fucking course. Youâre the idiot thinking it was a thing. This whole thing is casualâfeeling sorry wasnât in the contract. Fucking around was.
Itâs not like youâll be heartbroken by something like this. Of course not. Of course. Doyoung and you never had a beginning so there isnât an end, really. Itâs fine. Itâs fine. You take a deep breath and browse through your phone. With the onset of Christmas holidays, you have around three options left. Ten (yikes), Jaehyun (no way) or the latest addition, Hyungmin.
Well, youâre dressed. You have to go somewhere. And your statement about Hyungmin being the hottest guy on campus still stands.
You send two texts to the boy before deciding thatâs apparently enough time waiting. He picks up after a few rings, voice groggy from what you assume to be a late afternoon nap.
âYou up for a drink?â You cut to the point.
âUh? Oh, uh, now? I am, of course- I just needââ
âTwenty minutes. Iâll text you the address.â
Nothing cheers you up like your favourite bar. Or friends. Or people who respond to calls.
Hongdae is as busy as ever. You knew the bar would be packed but not this packed. Still, you managed to grab a seat at the bar table. With the oncoming night, the smell is just going to get worseâso thereâs nothing wrong with treating yourself to some lemon vodka (and its refreshing scent).
Hyungmin arrives exactly four minutes early, and the mussed up hair makes you think he must have been in a hurry. For what, you canât be sure.
You can still see the inklings of Hongdae nightlights on his hair right before he enters, and in the fallacy of that moment, you think itâs going to be Doyoung. You sigh. This isnât the time for that.
âSorry,â you say, gesturing to the bar table. âAll the tables were booked.â
âNo, no,â he responds quickly. âI actually prefer it here.â
Heâs tall, not that itâs the first time youâre noticing, but even when heâs sitting, heâs at least two heads taller than you are. His shoulders are accentuated by the mocha coat, no doubt part of the latest trend this winter. As a fashion student, he hits the mark and more.
For a moment, you feel bad for knowing his major. Ten let it slip about him and yet still, you feel guilty for remembering it. Youâre not supposed to go into unnecessary detail about people that donât matter. Does he matter?
âSurprised you could make it,â you joke half-heartedly. âArenât you lot always busy with something?â
He laughs. âThe student council? Oh, weâre busy alright.â
Busy. Right.
âWhat about you? Arenât you part of like three different clubs?â
âSo what kind of busy?â you ask, ignoring his question. Youâre part of two, now that you left the music club last semester. Itâs not like small talk matters though.
âUh,â he hesitates. âYou know- attend meetings and events, coordinate committee work, supervise stuff, etcetera etcetera. So busy, yeah.â
âBusy on Saturdays too?â you ask, before thanking the bartender for the drinks.
âYeah, I guess. Doyoung has it worse than me honestly. Even now, he has to take care of stuff because of me. HahâŠâ
You gulp down your drink making Hyungmin raise an eyebrow in concern. âStuff? Because of you?â
âYeah.â Hyungmin scratches the back of his head. âHeâs with the girls.â
âGirls?â you ask, playing with the glass. Youâre starting to feel annoyed, red lining your vision.
âYeah.â He makes no notion of clarifying his statement.
âMust be quite the president,â you say, resting your cheek against your palm.
âOh, heâs a nightmare.â Hyungmin laughs. âHe has to control everything.â
You try to mask your scoff. You know what he can be like when youâre working beside him.
âOh, and the guy has no sense of humour,â Hyungmin laughs, the sound easy on the ears.
You blink.
âI think heâs funny,â you say quickly. You swear you have no idea why you sound so defensive.
He hums in response and you consider biting your tongue, telling him youâre only here for one thing and forgetting the uncomfortable churning of feelings inside your chest.
âForget I- Iâm a little confused today.â
Is that an acceptable explanation? You canât think straight enough to decide. The silence on Hyungminâs part, however, worries you. The crowd around you fills in for the next few moments as your companion seems to debate something with himself.
âLook, I know you and Doyoung are⊠I donât know, something.â
You huff in irked amusement. âGod, does everyone seem to know?â
âNot until late actually.â Hyungmin takes a gulp. âHeâs been acting weird. Doyoung.â
You look away, breathing shallow. You donât like it, the way things seem to be getting out of hand. All this time, the world seemed to be in the palm of your hand and now, itâs spilling everywhere; the sand in the hourglass is already up to your knees and you donât know what happens when it fills.
âDo you actually like him?â he asks, leaning back just a little. You know where this is going. âAre you guys dating?â
âNo,â you respond, checking your watch.
âOh.â
Thereâs a momentâs hesitation in him but youâve seen that look before. You know that look.
âThen we can- uh- we canââ
âFuck?â you ask.
He gulps. âI mean, you can say no any timeââ
You pull him by the collar and kiss him, hard enough to melt away your hovering thoughts. He kisses like you expect him to, not how you want him to. You know this sort, and somehow, that makes you feel comfortable. Knowing what youâre getting into is easing but it doesnât lessen the weight of it.
Itâs sickening. The way youâre pretending itâs Doyoung.
Hyungmin pulls apart, panting heavily. âOh, okay.â
âTell me you drove here.â
He holds up his car keys in response.
Youâre not the type to sleep with strange (semi-acquainted) men, but itâs better than falling in love with them.
So you follow a lover to a hotel room and try to feel something. Some time, when heâs kissing you against the hotel room walls, he pulls apart and asks, âYouâre thinking of someone else, arenât you?â
You know the answer; it just wonât leave your lips.
âItâs okay,â he says with a weak smile, âLetâs just have fun.â
And every time his mouth was on yours, every time you saw stars, you felt the ghost of Doyoung and his haunting touches. It was strange and unfair and unlike youâor at least, unlike the you that you built over the past few years. You feel as though youâve misplaced somethingâlike something was supposed to be there when you reached out but instead, it was empty space.
The night ends as it should and you leave right before dawn with an apology text you couldnât put half your heart into.

Most winter nights, you wake up with pain so profound, itâs seeping into your bones.
It never made sense. You never tried to make sense of it. So you let the aches push you down by the shoulders, lodge itself into your neck and back; and you tell yourself, it must be what you deserve. Itâs cold and youâre walking barefoot on frozen ground.
You gasp. The weight of who you are and who you have to beâit has its knee on the back of your neck, shoving you into the damp earth. Thereâs no particular reason to it; it makes it seem as though itâs insignificant. Unimportant. Irrelevant. But thatâs the problemâthe weight of the world on your shoulders makes no sense. Whose world are you even carrying? Whose approval are you trying to win? You scramble to get up, messing up your bedsheets in the process, and pull your blanket around you. Your own warmth surrounds you and it makes no difference. You frown.
You remember your phone call with your mom, and your lips tremble. You shouldnât have told her about how crappy your finals went but it slipped. You tried to explain that you did work for them, that you gave it your best but sometimes things donât work out. She didnât have to say it out loud for you to hear her thoughts.
Youâre disappointing.
You wipe at your eyes, feeling annoyed at the emotion. If you could let the ground swallow you whole, you would. In a heartbeat. You donât even know what youâre doing most of the days despite that pretty planner of yours.
You get out of bed, pull on your cardigan beside the bed and grab your lighter and pack. The tiny balcony makes for a great smoking spot and while you would scold any of your friends for committing to this, you do it yourself. Hypocrite.
For all you try to shove into yourselfâhobbies, student clubs, actual clubbing, friendsâthe more you feel less than enough, as if everything just vanishes into thin air inside you. As if you arenât enough and never will be. You play by the rules and you lose, you break the rules and you lose.
Maybe itâs because you let yourself be filled by the intricacies of other people that they like you. And thus, you cannot stop for fear of loneliness.
Just as youâre feeling crushed again, you picture Doyoung against your back, placing his nose in the crook of your neckâsomething he has never doneâand you wonder why it helps.
Sucking in air too fast, you cough. You shouldnât have let it go on for so long.
It was funâharmless fun. You shouldnât even be thinking of taking a step in some other direction. Youâre friends, barely, but you like where you are. If Doyoung was that important, you wouldnât be going about this all backwards. You sigh, though it comes out jagged. The room is quiet and thatâs the way it should be at four a.m, of course, but you crave music all of a sudden. Doyoung and you are just a temporary fix; and you let that thought relax you.
When you think of his chin on your shoulder, however, it feels feather light.

âWhy are we doing this?â you ask.
The atmosphere is warm and toasty, just like you expect it to be in a bakery with light pink doors and a collection of plastic potted plants on display. The decorations arenât an eyesore here and somehow, it makes you feel better. Itâs a little far but you decide itâs worth it.
Doyoung shrugs, sipping his hot chocolate. âItâs Christmas, and weâre both here.â
Your eyes follow the hanging lights over the counter, wrapped in pine tree stickers and eventually to the neat display of a âSeasonâs Greetingsâ menu, the contents of which are currently at your table. A Christmas song by some singer whoâs been popular lately plays, tunes light and dancing. You hate the end of the year solely because of the extra pressure January brings. Nothing you canât handle, of course. Nothing you canât handle.
You sigh. Itâs been a little difficult lately.
âDoyoung, really, why are we doing this?â you ask, genuinely curious.
âAre you- uh- are you not enjoying this? I couldââ
âNo! No, itâs not that. I feel better, actually.â You bite your tongue almost immediately after. Itâs not like heâs supposed to know the sort of hell week youâre having. A poorly received term paper, finals that werenât up to your expectations, crippling loneliness without friends and, oh, the self-doubtâyou are at the lowest you can be in college. The only sweetener right now is in the hot chocolate and the way Doyoungâs looking at you.
You feel something close to guilt.
âGood.â He smiles. âYou seemed⊠You seemed a little down.â
The sliver of warmth between your ribs makes you think this is unreal. It feels uneasy to be so affected by someone but you let it slide, turning back to your hot chocolate.
âWhy didnât you go home this time?â you ask, sipping your drink.
âOh, I didn't really want to face my parents,â he says before leaning. âDidnât do too well this semester. And my brotherâs going to be there with all his achievements.â
You chuckle in disbelief. âYou donât like your brother?â
âI love him to bits. Just canât stand my momâs nagging when heâs around.â
âThatâs rich coming from you.â You cross your arms, smiling triumphantly. You feel like children squabbling but itâs so lighthearted, you want to laugh.
Doyoung raises a pointed finger, about to retort but nothing comes out. He puts his hand down.
âI guess youâre right.â
You shake your head. âIâm sure sheâs proud of you too.â
âI know that,â he says, laughing. âOf course she is. I donât keep myself busy for nothing.â
You gulp, a sudden sourness rising at the base of your tongue.
âBusy, huh? Didnât know spending saturday evenings with girls also counted as busy,â you mutter against the cup, half-hoping he doesnât hear you.
âWhat?â Thereâs a perplexed look across his face.
You wave your hand in dismissal. âOh donât mind me.â
âAre you talking about me giving a tour to the fresher girls?â Doyoung leans forward, resting his elbows on his thighs. âHyungmin does that usually but Mr Man was sore from soccer practice and Friday fucking.â
You blink. âFresher⊠girls?â
âWhat, did you think I was at a brothel?â Doyoung laughs in amusement.
You feel your cheeks heat up in embarrassment. âNo! No, of course not.â
You wave your hands about for a few more seconds, trying to come up with an explanation. This makes things rather embarrassing.
âSorry,â you say finally. âI jumped to conclusions.â
Doyoung laughs, rather deep and heartily, and you wonder if your apology really did sound as stupid to him as it did to you.
âYou do that a lot,â he notes.
âThanks,â you quip, cutting the pastry with your fork a little too forcefully. His laugh follows. (You hate it so much. It sounds like pure adoration.)
The next few moments consist of scrolling through your phones (because Doyoung says his âmouth hurts from talking to youâ) and you wouldâve been in a better state of mind if everyone wasnât posting pre-Christmas photos with their families.
âYou know theyâre opening that park. Whatâs it called- Winter Wonderland or something. You said you wanted to visit.â
You look up at Doyoung amused.
âLetâs be honest. You want to be in bed, Doyoung,â you say. âWhy are you doing this?â
âBecause I care,â he answers, looking at you with his doe eyes. âAbout you. You sulk when youâre upset.â
âI donât sulk,â you reply but your smile is obvious when you exit the cafe.
Itâs like a date. The more you think of it that way, the more it makes you smile.
The evening is perfectâorange and pink and loving and happy. Doyoung trails behind you as you tread over the sidewalk with cheeky remarks about his speed.
âIâm in the track club, you know?â he huffs, finally tired of your jabs.
âAs what, the start point?â
A fake, sarcastic laugh leaves him. âI wouldnât get to see you if I walked ahead.â
You feel warmth creep up your face. You mumble, âthatâs cheesy.â Itâs too weak though, and it goes unheard.
For the first time, you notice his eyes are a little like yours in what they reflect. You love them.
So this is where the crowd went. The amusement park, or whatever you call it, is buzzing with a faint sort of excitement, mostly in the children that didnât get to go on a vacation elsewhere. Itâs quite the wonderland though so you canât see them complaining.
âDo you think theyâll kick us out if we make out on the Ferris wheel?â you ask, smiling at Doyoung.
âIâm not making out with you on the Ferris wheel,â he replies, making a face.
You do end up making out on the Ferris wheel, and you get butterflies from it. Itâs like a teenage dream but Doyoung looks even better. You pass on the cotton candy because frankly, youâve had enough of sweet things. You sit at the frozen wooden seat, hoping it warms up while Doyoung brings the two of you some fries.
Your phone buzzes with a notification. Your eyes light up at the mail from your professor. You had turned in the term paper three days ago, weeks ahead of schedule and were particularly proud of the way it turned out.
You look at the email and zero in on the word âredoâ.
Your shoulders sag immediately. You spent four weeks on thatâand itâs not good enough? You search frantically for how it could have gone wrong and come up with none. Thatâs not supposed to happen. Somethingâs wrong. Somethingâs very wrong. The weekâs exhaustion swallows you up again.
When Doyoung returns, he looks at you concerned before quickly setting the fries on the table.
â(name). Is something wrong?â
âHuh?â Your voice sounds so weak and squeaky, you feel embarrassed. Itâs embarrassing that after all these years, you still donât know how to handle failure.
Because itâs not supposed to happen. You tell yourself that over and over and it makes things worse.
You feel dirty, underneath all that dust and crumbled rock dangling in your hair. Whatever rests on your shoulders is cracking and collapsing, and youâre pushing in the wrong direction to make sure it all stays up.
He reaches out his hand but you avoid it.
âNo,â you mutter, weakly shaking your head.
You rub at your nose and eyes, hoping you can hide behind your forearms. Doyoung shouldnât be seeing you like this, he doesnât deserve to see you like this. You turn away from him, your palm gently pushing against the soft material of his shirt.
Doyoung doesnât move. Instead, he gently tugs on your wrist so you have no choice but to face him with your red-rimmed eyes. Youâre not sure if itâs embarrassment or pity, but the concern in his eyes makes you cry harder.
âYou donât have to do that,â he whispers. âYou donât have to find a place to cry.â
For the first time in adulthood, you learn what itâs like to lean your forehead against someoneâs chest this way. Doyoung wraps his arms around you and the sound of his breathing soothes your near-erratic heart.
âI worked really hard on it, you know?â you mumble against his chest. âMy term paper.â
âI know,â he whispers.
Doyoung strokes your head delicately, fingers running through your hair with airy touches. Eventually, you let go of a final sigh and look up to his lips.
He seems surprised at the kiss but itâs all you can think of now. Itâs gentler than usual and Doyoung moves cautiously though he seems to like it all the same. His arms feel comfortable around you. When he pulls apart, he looks at you yet still with careful concern.
âWe can- we should stop if you want,â he says, and he means it.
You shake your head. Night is creeping in overhead, deep and quiet and slow.
âI like you, Doyoung,â you say finally. âI really, really like you.â
Doyoungâs eyes widen, as though a rabbit wary of the traps it might set foot on but he eases into your touch almost immediately.
âI like⊠I like you too.â His lips waver but he looks away and takes a deep breath. âI like you so much.â
You smile and think that maybe everything is set right now, with his chin against your shoulder and your arms around him.
Doyoung discards the jacket once youâre in your apartment, kissing you fuller now. Every other thought leaves you; you beg him to make you forget the rest of the world. The walls are comforting now that heâs here, and itâs warmer, hotter.
âCan we- Can we go a little slower?â you mumble, his arms still gentle when they wrap around your waist. He parts his lips from your neck to look at you momentarily before nodding.
You suddenly understand why he always makes you feel so good. Thereâs a certain fondness to his touch and warmth to his kisses. Thereâs no one quite like him, really.

âI love digging graves, especially if itâs my own,â you mutter against the pillow.
Doyoung laughs. âWhat did you do this time?â
âThis time? Excuse me? Do you think Iâm some sort of trouble child?â
âHm. Letâs see. Yes.â
You pause. Why do you hesitate to tell him you slept with Hyungmin? Itâs not like you were cheatingâyou werenât dating Doyoung. Besides, that night with Hyungmin didnât mean anything. A horrid feeling snakes around your throat, heavy and piercing. You resort to changing the topic.
âIâm⊠I took another course beyond my understanding.â
âThatâs it?â he asks.
You nod.
No, no, no; itâs all backwards now and you donât know how to reverse it.
Doyoung takes your hand in his, delicately and yet firm. His chest is against your back, bare and warm. When he presses his lips against your knuckles, the warmth that flushes through you makes you want to believe in something else entirely. You feel weak.
A part of you argues that you feel honestâin a moment of clarity you donât think you deserve. Neither vodka nor whiskey can make you this clear in the head; you struggle to breathe straight. How awful it is to feel warmth and not believe in it at the same time.
âYou can rely on me, you know?â he whispers.
The knot in your chest makes you want to cry.
You feel lonely and the opposite of it all at once. Doyoung is too much for youâtoo kind, too pretty and too true. He makes you realize too many things at once.
There are a few things in the world that can stifle loneliness. Like the notes Doyoung plays on the piano, like the songs he hums in the morning till you place open-mouthed kisses against his neck.
You realize, all of a sudden, that Doyoung really is your dearest friend.
And yet, you donât think you deserve it. Youâve never loved, you believe, but you have. You donât remember it well enough. The loversâ touches you kept searching for led to this. Hypocrite. You wanted a loverâs touch and you rejected the love that came with it. What a complicated bundle of emotions. You werenât always this way.
You loved your first cat when you were six, all the way till it died a warm death in your bed. You loved your mother even when she yelled at you for skipping your chores. You loved your middle school friends when you talked about comics and movies you saw for the first time.
Itâs hard to love the same way now.
You suppose sympathy needs a little backstory. Nothing is unconditional.
It had all started when your heart had broken into two clean pieces. You put a bandaid on it and called it a day. No one taught you to ask for help.
Your friends know someone broke your heart; you tell them everything. Friends, friendsâyou wanted them so bad and yet, you keep them as far from you as you can. You pretend to be paper-thin and so shallow, sometimes you wonder if thatâs all there is to you. But for all they know, they know next to nothing. It wasnât just the aftermath of reckless puppy love.
The first time your heart broke, it was watching your mother cry in the living room for a reason you didnât understand. You wondered who committed the crime, who should be chargedâand you found no one. A loveless marriage is cruel, yes, but you cannot point fingers. It isnât just cruel; itâs infuriating.
The second time, the two pieces of your heart broke into a few more. It was a boy with an inviting smile and flags whose colour you couldnât quite discern. They must have been red, but everything else was tooâhearts, cheeks, lips, and the threads around your wrists. And eventually, he guided you to the conclusion that you are undeserving, unworthy, unloved.
You were strong, however. It was easy to collapse on the bed and feel the weight of the world settling in, but you stood up again on shaking knees and you told yourself to have fun; you can have fun without feelings. You know better than to attach meaning to funâyou might hate insignificant things but itâs only fun if itâs pointless. Youâre not letting go of this place youâve worked so hard to arrive at, with all the shattered pieces in your hands.
Itâs better to offer nothing at all than offer broken pieces.
âCan we stay like this?â Doyoungâs arms tighten around your waist, his breath shallow against your shoulder. âJust for a little bit.â
His voice is beautiful as always, but for a moment, it strikes you as sad.
Everythingâs twisting up into knots and you are frantically running your fingers over them to straighten it all out. You know what itâs like to let things rot; and you are tired of it. Why canât everything disappear for one moment? Why canât you just let it be the two of you?
You sigh in response, nodding.
âI might not know whatâs happening in there,â he starts, drawing circles on your chest with his finger, touch comfortably light. âButâŠâ
Iâm here and I get it.
Is that what he wants to say? You donât think youâll get to know. Youâre not exactly voicing yourself either.
Stay the night. You want to say it but your lips are frozen.
Instead, you rub your thumb over the back of his hand, fitting into each other as perfect as a lie. You would tell him, you try to convince yourself, if you could say it with enough conviction. Thereâs no point to saying things that are half-meant, that are true but only just enough. Youâre a coward.
And now, this has gotten complicated.

An end.
Tapping his pen against the desk, Doyoung grows increasingly annoyed. The council's next meeting agenda isnât going to finish writing itself but he canât bring himself to either. Besides, Tenâs pacing outside his room is starting to get on his nerves.
âTen!â he yells. âCan you quit it? Youâre making too much noise.â
His disapproval is met with silence. For a moment, he spaces out and reflexively thinks of you, only to feel a confusing sort of emotion. Itâs normal, he tells himself, and that itâll sort itself out.
Doyoung feels like a glass box more often than not. If he breaks, who picks up the pieces? Who gets cuts all over their fingers?
âWhoever breaks himâ should be the answer. But thatâs wishful thinking. Itâs not that simple.
Heâs so see-through that itâs painful. He used to tell Taeyong heâs wrong but heâs never been able to prove it. He is easy. Itâs embarrassing.
But then again, part of him likes it when it comes to you. He likes it when you kiss him after a particularly heated disagreement, he likes when you get on his nerves just so heâd fuck you and most of all, he loves the push and pull. Fun is just that. He doesnât know what heâd do if that heart of his he placed so gingerly into your palms falls and shatters.
The line between hate and love is thin; and heâs enjoying walking it too much.
He has nothing to offer but himself. He laughs at the thought and shakes his head. Itâs somewhat dirty, and not just in the sexual sense.
âTen!â he yells again. âStop pacing!â
Getting up from his seat, he strides over to his door, swings it open and finds Ten scratching his head and glancing at his phone in repeated action.
âTen?â
Heâs so in a trance that he hasnât noticed Doyoung. He is the lovable sort of idiot if he ever chooses to be so. Most of the time though, heâs just a smartass.
âOh, oh no, Iâm a bad friend,â Ten mutters to himself, his pacing growing more restless. He scratches the back of his head, eyebrows furrowed and too inside his head to notice Doyoung. He wants to ask but something tells him he shouldnât.
Turns out, his apprehension isnât strong enough these days.
âWhose date did you crash?â Doyoung asks, more than annoyed already.
When Ten looks at him, Doyoung feels rather shriveled and freezes on the spot. Call it instinct but Doyoung respects fear and pain. Ten has a mixture of the two, amplified when he looks at Doyoung.
âDoyoung. Hey,â he says, trying to tone down the distress in his voice.
Doyoung still hasnât recovered from the initial surprise of Ten looking that way.
âDid you fuck up? Did someone fuck up? Why do you look like that?â
Ten sits down on the small couch. âLong story⊠I guess. Too many details, you- you know? Justââ
âWhat the fuck happened?â
Ten still canât look him in the eye. âThe group chatâs a littleâŠâ
âTen,â Doyoung snaps. âCut the crap.â
âNo, thatâs- thatâs what Iâm- Youâre going to be upset.â
Doyoung straightens, furrowing his brows. âI think I can fucking handle it.â
âYou know that date I set up for (name) and Hyungmin?â
âYou set that up?â
â(name) slept with Hyungmin.â
Doyoung quietens. The silence seems to make Ten uncomfortable as he shifts in his seat, getting up when Doyoung speaks.
âSo?â
Ten blinks. âYouâre not upset?â
âJust what kind of loser do you think I am?â Doyoung mutters.
Glass shatters just that easily. Maybe he wanted you to shatter him. Maybe he was already cracking at the edges.
âDoyoung, you donât have toââ
âStop,â he exclaims a little louder than he intended. âStop looking at me like that. Iâm a grown man, I can handle shit like this.â
It still hurts though. You lied to him and he let you in. You lied to him. Doyoung sighs, returning to his room with a realization he should have had long ago. His night ends with more deleted drafts than heâs supposed to have and eventually, with increased discomfort, he delegates the job to Park Hyungmin himself with the excuse of sickness.
Doyoung does feel sick. He felt this way once, in highschool, but it had turned to red, hot anger ready to lash at anyone and everyone, spilling from his lips as easy as it was to breathe. And Doyoung can never feel that way towards you. He was different back then too, of course, but youâyouâre unlike anyone heâs ever met. He loves the comfort of you, and something like that is hard to come by.
He feels like laughing again but instead he finds tears on his cheeks. Silly boy, he can hear his mother tell him. You donât give your heart to heartbreakers.
So Doyoung falls asleep to the sound of upbeat music in his earphones, music he hates even just to pass the night. Morning will come and he will have to become stronger. Comfort is fleeting, after all.

With everything said and done, you know very well that if you were to tell someone you love themâgenuinely, truly, from the heartâit would be Doyoung. Itâs not a sudden realization, like the sky falling apart or a tidal wave crashing against the shore and sweeping away the city. It is like the gentle lapping of water, though, or the way the clouds change shapeânatural and anything but alarming. You want to stare at it forever, and you want to believe thatâs how it will be forever.
âYou told everyone we had sex?â Your voice is boiled to a shout.
Hyungmin looks torn, lips moving but no explanation making its way out. âI- I told my friends, not everyone.â
âAnd you forgot that your friends talk? Everybody talks, Hyungmin, what were you thinking?â
He sighs before taking a step towards you. âWhy are you so angry about it? As far as I remember, you had no trouble talking about whose pants you got into.â
You scoff. âWith friends, not the whole campus.â
âThatâs exactly what I did!â
You cross your arms, feeling so upset you might cry and unsure as to why. Youâre usually good at dealing with stuff like this, keeping things in the right place.
âItâs because of Doyoung, isnât it?â
You snap your head to Hyungmin. Thereâs a serene sort of look to him despite his unkempt appearance, and a look of understanding.
âIâm sorry. Really. But if you were so into him, you shouldnât have called me that evening. It might not matter to me butâŠâ
You broke his heart. All that devotion he had towards you led to this.
âYouâre right.â You choke on your words, leaning against the wall. âFuck⊠FuckingâŠâ
You turn around, making your way out of the hallway and hope the tears on your cheeks dry faster if you run.
You canât remember the last time you ran. Your world didnât need running from, it was right in the palm of your hands. Now that you look back, the world was always on your shoulders and heavy as it can be. Maybe you liked itâthe weight. You couldâve shrugged it off any time; you didnât need all those caging schedules or careful, elegant steps.
No. Atlas couldnât shrug because his punishment was his existence. To have weight is to have meaning; and that is how you intended to live out your life.
Doyoung makes you see it differently. To love so fully even if it seems cautiousâyou, who has never loved at all, couldnât comprehend it. And because he makes you see it differently, the box is now open and all hell is loose.
For once, you donât want to live in the world you crafted. You want more love, more hurt and you want to open the doors. You donât mind hell if itâs for him.
You ring the bell to Doyoung and Tenâs apartment and pray the news hasnât reached him yet. He said he was busy this weekend; maybe he was detached enough from his phone for once. You just want to be the person to tell him. Itâs not a perfect apology otherwise.
Doyoung opens the door with pursed lips and cold eyes. Thereâs a sense of ease over his shoulders and arms but he wonât look at you and panic rises to your throat.
âWeâre not fucking tonight, (name),â he says.
âThatâs not- Thatâs not why Iâm here.â Your voice is so meek, you wonder what happened.
Doyoung steps back, crossing his arms. Heâs still looking at his feet and you feel the urge to reach for his face.
âI wanted to tell you- I⊠I justââ
âThat youâre fucking other people?â
âGod, Doyoung, stop with the fucking. I donât care about that right now.â
âReally?â His voice is so sharp, it digs into your skin. âYou were just in it for that. Thatâs the fun part in your stupid life, isnât it?â
You feel a sharp pain in your nose and forehead. âYouâre- Now thatâs- Doyoung. Iâm sorry. Thatâs what I wanted to say.â
âAfterââ His voice chokes up. âAfter everything is done? Stop with the excuses and face it for fuckâs sake. You arenât made to fall in love. Thatâs why you dance around it all the time.â
Although he says that, he doesnât sound angry. He sounds defeated.
âItâs not like you arenât cautious,â you retort, throat feeling heavy. âYou said it yourself- you donât want to care too much.â
âI was wrong,â he says, voice hoarse. âI care about everything more than Iâd like to admit. I care about you more than Iâd like to admit.â
âThe Hyungmin thing didnât mean anything, okay? You were busy andââ
âSo why did you lie?â He strains to not raise his voice. âOf course I knew our little thing didnât mean shit to you. Why did you pretend it did? Last week, you said- you saidââ
âDoyoung, last week- last week I- I wasnât pretending, I swear.â
âYou couldâve just saved yourself the trouble and the dignity.â A short, humorless laugh leaves him.
You feel your lips tremble, the explanation not quite made its way out yet. He looks so innocent like this, rabbit-like eyes watery and full of pain, pure the way they have always been. This is your mistake, isnât it?
âDoyoung, please,â you manage to say. âThat was wrong. I couldnât clear up my head. Please donâtââ
âNo. I was an idiot. Or you see me as one.â He frowns deeper, lips trembling. âI shouldnât- I shouldnât have. We shouldnât have been at the same fucking party and I shouldnât have drank so much. Youâre- Iâm not that kind of person.â
You bite down your lip. âWhat kind?â
Doyoung laughs, the sound raspy and empty. âThe kind to not fall in love with you.â
It damn near breaks your heart to look at him. You have to say something, it shouldnât end like this. Youâre desperate and all you think is that you donât want it to end at all.
âPlease, I thought of you as a friend, thatâs whyââ
âAnd this is what you call being a friend?â he cuts you off.
You feel the sting in your eyes and nose, making you turn sharply to the side. You wish heâd just make you cry. It makes you feel the rancid guilt all the more.
âMake Hyungmin your friend for all I care. Letâs stop this.â
You stare at your feet, unable to respond.
âYou can have every boy in the world, (name). Donât come to me.â
âCan you just stop talking about everyone else?â you yell, desperate. ïżœïżœïżœDo I talk about your exes? Seungjae or- or whatâs-her-nameââ
âThatâs different!â He looks distraught, breathing heavily and with a painful red flush over his nose and cheeks. He runs his hand through his hair, tousling it further. âYou lied to me, (name). You lied.â
Your cheeks are wet and the look that flashes over Doyoung makes you think he wants to step right out to you. He stays frozen in place, however, looking away to the side.
âDid you notice?â he asks softly. âEven once? How much I cared?â
You canât answer, letting the tears drip down your face. Itâs getting colder and colder.
Doyoung bites down his lip before parting them. âAll we did was have sex anyway. So please just- just leave.â
You take a long few moments but nod, hugging your coat closer and stepping out of his apartment. You think you hear Tenâs footsteps but itâs followed by the bang of a doorâthis is how it ends then.
The line between hate and love is thin; and you are deserving of neither.

You perfect your next semesterâs academics, and the next. It still feels empty. You go out to drink with friends and return to a messy bed you sleep in alone. You smile as always and you laugh as always. No one asks you how you are as always. You never needed anyone to ask you how you are.
Ten tries but you push him away. You donât need to drag in other people into a mess you made. He feels sorry for the whole thing but you tell him it was you that spilled the paint, Ten just handed a dash of it to you.
You were right. You donât deserve Doyoung. At least, you made it so that you donât deserve him.
âItâs better to have loved and lost than to not have loved at allââit still hurts.
Every day is part of a list again. You doodled in some of the pages, when you thought you were starting to fall in love. Thereâs only a skeleton of it left now. Soon, youâll let it crumble to dust too.
You tear apart the planner sometime after graduation and cry and curse at yourself for doing that. No oneâs good at parting with things they care about. Youâre no exception.
Itâs December again.
This place is a little strange to visit right after graduating, especially with the memories flashing you by. Johnny said he booked one of the private booths (âA seniorâs treat!â) but you feel your steps growing hesitant when you reach the neon signs by the stairs. It spells âThe Meeting Placeâ and smells of cigarettes just like it did the first time.
You stop midway up the stairs. For a moment, you think of Doyoung sitting there and wonder if youâll ever be able to talk to him again. If you had the chance now, would you take it?
Of course, you wouldnât. Thereâs too much to be set right and you canât do it.
Thereâs supposed to be the six of you. Johnny mentioned Ten and you know Eunjiâs invited too. You saw Jaehyun on the way here, still a student. You sigh. It must be him, the one they failed to mention to you. Kim Doyoung. Thereâs no one quite like him.
You spot him first. Looking a little forlorn as he gazes absentmindedly to the side, he faces away from you and you get the inevitable urge to run away. Itâs a funny feeling.
Your stomach is churning. You donât want him to see you. Ten babbles on about something to Johnny, smiling like he found candy while clearing his drawers. Eunji looks tired, leaning against Johnnyâs shoulder and you wonder if she already drank more than enough shots.
â(name).â
You jump at Jaehyunâs voice from behind you.
âHey,â you respond, giving him a wide smile.
He hesitates. âAre you okay? Not that you donât look okay- you look really good actually. I mean, are you and⊠you know okay?â
âI donât think so, Jaehyun,â you say and make your way to the booth.
Itâs a little cramped for the six of you and Doyoung gets up before you can even greet him. Itâs not like you deserve it anyway but it tugs at the wound.
âIâm going to go take a drag,â he mutters.
âYou donât smoke,â you say, looking up.
He stares at you momentarily and you look away. You think Ten and Johnny glance at you with pity but you donât really care.
âCan I come with you?â you ask, barely a whisper.
âSure,â he says, to your surprise.
The smoking area is so small, youâre surprised itâs even there. A glass structure overlooking the neighbourhood, thereâs barely any light within. The only thing nice is how warm itâs in there.
Doyoung lights his cigarette and then offers to light yours. Itâs quiet, the music from inside numbed to the cold doors. You really canât take it. You stub the barely consumed cigarette and throw it into the bin.
Youâd rather just stay quietly in his presence.
âYouâre not smoking,â he notes.
âItâs a bad habit.â You look out through the glass.
Doyoung chuckles. âYou were a collection of bad habits.â
âAnd good ones too,â you quip. âI was a perfect student. I was perfect in most everything actually.â
Doyoungâs smile widens. âYou were. You certainly were.â
A few more moments pass in silence, your eyes traveling over the outside scenery which seems to be growing duller by the second. City lights have never felt fainter.
âIt was an accident, right?â You say suddenly. âThe whole thing? Us?â
Doyoung hums. âYeah. I fell in love by accident.â
You smile weakly. âRight. I never got to apologize.â
âI loved you on purpose.â
You look up at him. Thereâs not a lot of people who say what they mean. He looks the same as he used to under your grey blankets, with a warm blush over his cheeks and kind, wide eyes.
âYouâre so damn pretty,â he murmurs, âeven now.â
You scan his face for signs of lying.
âYouâre drunk, arenât you?â you ask finally.
Doyoung blinks before easing into laughter. âYou- Youâre- Youâre the same as ever.â
You let yourself crack a smile.
âDoyoung I- I really am sorry,â you say quietly. âAnd I did- do care for you.â
Doyoung stubs out his cigarette and discards it before looking you in the eye. You notice heâs wearing his favourite black turtleneck in the proximity, the grey plaid coat covering most of it. You really liked that look on him.
âIâm sorry,â you say once again. âI want you to know that. I didnât want to hurt you and I promise I wonât ever do it again.â
You mean it. Youâre never going to hold glass again. He doesnât deserve it.
âThatâs a problem,â he responds, breath mingling with yours. âI want you⊠I want you to hurt me. If you really do love me, Iâll take it.â
âDoyoung,â you whisper, turning away despite your whole body screaming at you to give in. âI meant it. I canât hurt you.â
Doyoung cups your cheek with one hand, glancing at your lips for a moment.
âYouâre warm,â he says.
Heâs warmer.
âI want to kiss you,â he says.
You want to kiss him too.
âWe went about this all wrong, didnât we?â he asks.
âWe did,â you answer, voice barely above a whisper. âI did.â
Doyoung pulls back. âThen letâs start again. Iâm Kim Doyoung, I majored in linguistics. I was student council president and I made a mistake.â
You smile. âWe donât have to do that.â
Doyoung raises an eyebrow. âAfter all the trouble I went through to make a good introduction?â
The two of you laugh, and it gets warmer.
âIâm (name),â you say. âI was a top student and I made a bigger mistake, Kim Doyoung.â
âOh? I wonder what it was.â
âKind of a long story.â
âIâve got all the time for you.â
You smile and start. He responds with gentle kisses. Youâre piecing your world back together again; but this time itâs feather-light and fits right in the palm of your hand.

So headcannon ideas:
After Ranboo kinda becomes neighbors with Phil and Techno, I can imagine after Phil opened up to Ranboo, they found Phil passed out in the dirt, naturally he took Phil inside the cabin, when they came back inside, he found Phil tossing and turning. Mumbling in his sleep.
"PhilâŠPhil..you're safe, you need to wake up."
âStopâŠstop!â Phil kinda leaned into something or someone, an enderman hybrid, Ranboo.
"Phil you're safe here I promise, just open your eyes." Ranboo hums a soothing melody to get him to calm down, wrapping their arms around him.
Phil opened his eyes with a gasp, catching his breath, tears strolling down his face, looking up at the enderman through a blurred vision.
âR-Ranboo?âŠâ He called out, his voice sore from screaming. âWhat happened?âŠâ
Ranboo rubbed circles into his back. "You were having a nightmare, everything is okay now I promise you are safe."
Phil stayed quiet, before sobbing a bit into Ranbooâs chest, he knew what the nightmare was about, and he didnât want to talk about it.
Ranboo kept rubbing circles into the avianâs back to try and calm his nerves. "Your safe I promise."
âIâm sorryâŠâ Phil mumbled. âI didnâtâŠâ
"You never need to apologize for anything ever Phil, we've all got you, everything is okay I promise" Ranboo smiled, glancing down at him, he hated seeing Phil like this, but they have had similar experiences before.
Phil nuzzled his head into Ranbooâs chest. âThank youâŠâ
"Anytime Phil Anytime." Ranboo goes back to humming and running their fingers through Phil's hair and down his back to sooth him.
Philâs back tensed up a bit, gasping, his wings twitching a bit. âEep!â
âR-Ran-â Phil bit his lip, Ranboo looked down, a bit concerned.
"You okay Phil? D-did I hurt you?" They asked, he wanted to help Phil, not hurt him.
âN-No- Iâm fineâŠit just uhâŠâ Philâs ears twitched, a bit flustered.
It clicked for the enderman, smirking, they began to trace small circles into the avianâs neck.
"Does this tickle?~" Ranboo smirked as they whispered in his ear.
âMeep! No!â Phil bit his lip, letting out a few giggles, covering his mouth with his hands, a red flush on the tip of his ears, shaking his head.
"Oh I think it does~" Ranboo gently skittered downwards and behind his ears.
âEhehehehehe! Nohoho, quit it!â Phil squeaked, biting his lip, trying to muffle his giggles.
"If you say so" Everything stopped as they smiled down at the giggly hybrid.
âMmfâŠâ Phil mumbled, still a bit flustered. âErmâŠuhâŠRanbooâŠ?â
"Yessss Phil?~" They leaned forward near his face.
âErm uhâŠgodâŠitâs hard to askâŠâ Phil mumbled, scratching his neck.
Ranboo giggled and went back to tickling him with a bit more speed this time. âThis might be a small distraction.â
âEep!â Phil covered his mouth with his hands, biting his lip to muffle his giggles, his ears twitching.
"You're safe here Phil, giggle when you're ready, but I would love to hear it." Ranboo continued, tracing gently as possible across his neck.
âMmfâŠâ Phil looked up at them, his shirt rolled up a bit, removing his hands from his mouth, a small grin on his face as he bit his lip.
"Good job Phil, you're doing great." Ranboo moved down to scribble along his sides, they smiled at the squirming in response.
âPfft-Hehehe-Ehehehehahaha! Hahahaha!â Phil began giggling, his ears flapping and twitching. âIt-It tickles! Ehehehehe!â
"Good! I'm so glad it does" They continued smiling
âEhehehehahaha! Rahahan! Ehehehe!â Phil squealed, his giggles going up an octave, his ears continue to flap.
"Yes Phil?~" Ranboo continued with a smirk in their voice.
âItit reheheally-EEP!â Phil let out a squeal once Ranboo traced against his ribs.
âTickles?~ Tickletickletickletickle" He continued up and down his ribs, sending the avian into giggles.
âOH GOHOHOHODS! HAHA! Nahahat thehe rihihibs! Ehehehehe!â Phil moved his head over, a red blush on his face and ears.
Ranboo smiled, continuing upwards, Philâs wings flapping as he laughed. âITIT TICKLES!â âOh Iâm aware.â
Yeah- Ler!Ranboo Lee!Phil.
I was editing and making this story before Ranboo came out as he/they (I believe correct me if Iâm wrong) so I had to replace a lot of heâs with theys, not that Iâm complaining!

Couch Fight (Stolitz fanfic)
This may be a little short, but Iâm just relaxing tonight because Iâve been mentally overwhelmed lately. You can draw fanfics or write your own stuff if you want to.
Blitzo and Stolas were enjoying something different together for once. Stolas had suggested a while ago to have a movie night before going to bed together so they could have some quality boyfriend time. Stolas even choose a âhorse relatedâ movie in order to show he cared about Blitzoâs interests and hobbies, and Blitzo appreciated this even if he didnât express it. They were even wearing comfty sweaters that matched, an anniversary present Stolas had gotten for both of them.
There was a little complaint from him, though.
âStolas, could you please get off of me for a while?â
âWhat do you mean, darling?â
Stolas was laying over Blitzo, cuddling with him while he was holding the popcorn bowl, so Blitzo had to manouver with both things.
âI mean, just look how fuc*ing big this couch is! I just wanna watch the movie and be comfty! Youâre heavy! (Not really, but Blitzo is pretty small)â.
âExcuse me?â, Stolas answered in a sassy voice, not really angry at him. âDid you just called me fat?â.
âIf calling you fat makes you move, well, yeahâ, Blitzo bluntly answered trying not to smirk at him.
âWell, I donât know if Iâll be able to move Blitzy. Todayâs duties were so hard Iâm exhausted!â, Stolas said in a dramatic tone while clinging more into Blitzo.
Blitzo put the popcorn bowl on the floor and tried to softly push Stolasâ face away from him so he would stand up.
âJust move Stolas!â Blitzo pushed as Stolas was just giggling at his weak intent. Then he suddenly holds Blitzoâs hand and gives a kiss to his palm. Blitzo instantaneously blushed.
âYouâre really cute when youâre trying to be mean Blitzyâ, Stolas said while still kissing his hand.
âSh-shut up!â, Blitzo answered, starting to feel a pleasing feeling because of the kisses and feeling really flustered. He half heartedly tried to put his had away. Then Stolas started sexily licking between his fingers, making him squirm.
âHehe, you taste like popcornâ, Stolas said.
âJuuhuhust stohop and move Stolas!â Slowly but surely tickling feelings started to invade Blitzoâs system and even when he tried to look like he was serious, a silly grin was starting to form over his face. Stolas noticed and just kept going.
âWhatâs the matter Blitzy? You seem to be enjoying the attention, do you really want me to stop?â He started kissing his ring finger while Blitzo was holding up his laughter. He wasnât sure if he was feeling ticklish or horny because of Stolasâ flirty play.
Then all suddenly, Stolas started nibbling Blitzoâs finger. That was the last straw.
âHehehehe, Stolaaas! Stop! Youâre tickling me!â
âI knowâ, he replied.
Now Blitzo was really squirming, but Stolasâ weight was impeding him to go away. Also he was in the very end of the couch, so he didnât have any freedom to move. He could only giggle while each of his handâs fingers were being nibbled by a gentle beak.
âYou taste so good Blitzy, I canât help but wanting more from youâ Stolas playfully said while letting his hand go. Blitzo sighted in relieve thinking that it was finally oved, but then Stolas grabbed his wagging tail and started to repeat the same treatment his fingers had endured on the tip.
Now the giggles became laughter. Blitzoâs tail has always been a weak spot. Depending of the area it was teased it could be also considered as a foreplay thing. In this case it was nothing but tickles reaching his whole spine, driving him nuts.
âYou fuc**hihihiing d*hihih*ck! Stahahahahap!â
âNo way, you tried to push me away and called me fat a while ago, I must punish youâ, Stolas replied with the cutest smile he could show to him. He loved making Blitzo laugh because it wouldnât happen naturally very often. Tickling him was his ultimate weapon.
âAhahaha, hahahaha, nohohohoâ. Blitzo was unable to come up with a comeback at this point, he was just fighting in order to put Stolasâ body away from him. In his desperation he started squeezing Stolasâ sides, making him stop.
âNohoho Blitzy! Donât do that!â
âThen f***ing stop!â, Blitzo yelled, squeezing his hips now. Stolas was laughing a lot, but he was still over his body, barely trying to get away. He enjoyed this game and Blitzo knew it.
âNohohoho, I wohohhonât stohohohop!â Stolas then started scratching Blitzoâs ribs with both hands so he wasnât really stopping the attack at all. Blitzo let go big cackles and squeezed Stolasâ sides harder in desperation.
âYou bihihihi**ch!!! I wonât lehehet you wihihin!â Blitzo almost screamed. He then reached Stolasâ neck making him hoot in surprise and laughing harder.
âAhahahaha! Thahahat is toooo much! Youâre so mean!â
âMean my a**! Youâre the one who started thihihis shihihihi*!â
Stolas started tickling Blitzoâs neck with one hand and his underarm with the other as his life depended on it, making him shrug and letting a loud squeal. The same as Stolas, the happy squealing meant enjoyment from the tickling, so he wasnât really upset at his boyfriend.
They kept tickling each other until the hiccups appeared in both of them. Crying with joy they only stopped when they wrestled so much they fell down the couch.
âOw ow ow owâ Blitzo groaned while gasping for air. âThat hurtedâ.
âOh, Iâm so sorry Blitz, are you alright?â Stolas said while still being over him.
âYeah, but I feel exhaustedâ Blitzo replied. âAnd I think we missed the end of the movieâ.
The movie credits where already rolling on the stream.
âIn that case, do we go back to the bedroom? Itâs starting to get cold here, I want you to warm in upâ. Stolas started kissing Blitzoâs neck, making him make pleasant noises between some giggles.
âOk, ok, I get it, hehehe, just stohohop!â, Blitzo softly pleaded. Stolas gently lifted him up and took him to his dorm, while Blitzo rested on his shoulder. The warm lavender scent the Prince always had with him made him feel in peace as always.

*Cling*
*Rustle rustle*
âUgh...Haha...Itâs stranglinâ you, isnât it? This is your penalty for disobeyinâ me...By tighteninâ the chains almost to the point of suffocation, it makes the blood gush out more vigorously as well...When that happens, Iâll be so nice as to drink it. I bet you donât dislike this either, do you?â
*Rustle rustle*
[00:35] âIs it hard to breatheâŠ? Haha...Suffer more then! ...More and moreâŠ! ...Regret the fact that you betrayed me!â
You protest.
â...You didnât betray me, you say? Then how do you explain their scent all over your body? Aah!?â
*Cling cling*
[01:04] âAhaha...Did they mark you like some dog would, perhaps? Puttinâ their scent all over you to show that you are theirs. HahahaâŠ! That would be kinda funny.â
*Rustle*
âCome on, if you donât answer me, Iâm only gonna strangle you more. You already seem to be strugglinâ to breathe quite a bit?â
*Rustle rustle*
[01:32] âYou look pathetic, like a goldfish out of water gasping for air, hahahaâŠWell, I donât care if you die or whatever. ăŒăŒ Iâll at least savor your delicious blood to my heartâs content. Hahaha. Guess Iâll go for this place next.â
*Cling*
âChichinashi. Iâm gonna suck from your shoulder now. Iâd say this is a pretty convenient choice while Iâm stranglinâ you. Fortunately, thereâs none of their marks left behind here either.
You writhe around.
[02:15] âWhat are you squirminâ for? Do you want me to hurry up? Hahaha. Sure thing.â
*Sluuuurp*
âHah...Iâm starvinâ today. Iâm hungry.â
He bites you.
âMm...NnâŠâ
*Gulp*
âDeeper...MmhâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
âHah...Mmh...NnâŠHah! HaahâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
[03:06] âHah...Delicious...Iâll plunge my fangs down to the core...Iâll taint even the places they could only dream of reachinâ...MmhâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
âNnâŠMm...Hah...MmhâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
âItâs hot...Scorchinâ...â
*Cling cling*
[03:45] âHahaha...Ahaha! You finally stopped cryinâ thanks to these chains, huh? Chichinashi, you like this new collar I got you, donât you?â
*Cling cling*
âIf I knew this would happen, I wouldâve kept a chain âround your neck the whole timeâŠHahnâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
âMm...Nn...HahâŠâ
You start to grow dizzy.
[04:26] â...Oi! Get a grip! You can still keep goinâ, right? Haah...Iâve gotten pretty heated as wellâŠâ
You beg for mercy.
âHahahaâŠâForgive meâ? For what? I thought you said you didnât betray me earlier?â
You explain.
âHah? It hurts? Of course it does.â
*Rustle*
[05:02] âIâm makinâ it hurt after all.â
*Cling cling*
âYou love how I push you to the very edge, donât you? Hahaha...Iâll make them even tighterâŠâ
*Cling cling*
âHahaha...How pathetic. Close your mouth at least. Youâre makinâ a dumb expression. Ah. But I guess you canât breathe if you do.â
*Sluuuurp*
[05:39] âI love that look on your face. Look at you droolinâ from pure bliss...Guess youâre really no different from a dog now. You bitch! (1) However, I canât get enough of your blood when youâre like this. MmhâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
âNn...MmhâŠâ
*Gulp*
[06:10] âHaah...This is bad...The taste of your blood has gotten richer again...Stop reactinâ in this way...This taste...AhăŒâ
*Sluuuurp*
âHahn...MmâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
[06:36] âHah...Itâs hella sweet...Seems like youâre enjoyinâ it more than usual today...I can easily tell how you feel, just by suckinâ your blood. Didnât I tell you earlier? I really donât need to ask for your innermost thoughts. HahnâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
[07:06] âMm...NnâŠHahn...Mmh...HahăŒ! Haah...Hahaha...Your shoulderâs covered in holes. Now if I brand you with my mark here, I might just feel satisfied.â
TRACK 6: JEALOUSY
*Rustle rustle*
âFufufuâŠâ
*Cling*
âThere. I loosened the chains.â
You gasp for air.
âSeems like youâre completely worn out. What a turn off. ...Well, not that I was expectinâ any kind of appeal from a Chichinashi.â
You protest.
â...Aah!? Excuse me? Try sayinâ that againâŠâ
You repeat yourself.
[00:39] âMe? Jealous? PfftăŒ Ahaha...Hahahaha! Are you dumb!? Guess youâve finally lost it âcause of them, huh? ăŒăŒ CUT THE CRAP! How many times do I have to tell you that I wonât let myself get pushed âround by some kiddie feelings!?â
You flinch.
âIâm pissed offâŠâcause they had the nerve to take my prey. Thatâs all!â
*Cling*
[01:17] âChichinashi. Seems like you havenât experienced enough pain just yet, seeinâ as you still have the time to make those kind of cheeky remarks. In other wordsăŒăŒ Youâre just trying to catch my attention, arenât you? Hahaha...Sure. Iâll play along. I wonât show any mercy todayâŠâ
*Rustle*
âNot until you admit that youâre my prey.â
*Cling cling*
[01:49] âHmph. You look hopeful. I get it. You seem to believe that youâve fallen head over heels for me, but thatâs a misunderstandinâ on your part. HahaâŠâ
*Rustle*
âShall I teach you? Who you love isnât me. ...Itâs these bad boys.â
Ayato bites you.
âHahn...Mmh...NnâŠâ
*Gulp*
âHaah...MmhâŠNnâŠHahâŠâ
*Rustle*
[02:45] âWell would you look at that? Youâve got that dreamy look in your eyes again. You just love these fangs to bits, donât you, hm? HahnâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
âMmh...NnâŠâ
*Gulp*
âHah...NnâŠMmh...HahăŒ!â
*Rustle rustle*
[03:16] âI figured that one out long ago. So you really are a traitor after all, Chichinashi.â
*Rustle*
âHahn...MmâŠâ
*Gulp*
âFuckâŠ! The blood turned foul all of a sudden! ...Whatâs wrong, Chichinashi? Doesnât it feel good, huh!?â
*Rustle rustle*
[03:49] âYour blood doesnât taste good unless you enjoy it.â
You frown.
âAre you actually hurt by my words? HahahaâŠâ
*Cling cling*
âOh well, whatever. As soon as I plunge in these fangs you love so much, youâll start feelinâ it in no time.â
You protest.
[04:18] âHuman âsentimentsâ are only worth that much after all. You give in to momentary pleasure so easily.â
*Rustle*
âItâs startinâ to get to me as well...My headâs spinninâ...Hahaha...But you know. I still want more of your blood. No matter how much I suck, thereâs always room for more. Is this their trap? Are they tryinâ to numb my senses and have me kill you? HahahaâŠâ
*Rustle rustle*
[05:08] âGuess theyâre hopinâ Iâll violate your body all over with these fangs of mine...Hahaha...That sounds like the kind of plan a bunch of shitbags would come up with. ăŒăŒ I donât like it. However, even though I know their intentions, I just donât quite feel like myself...My desires are overflowinâ...They must have drugged me in some way as well! ...Haah, haah...I canât stop myself!â
He latches onto you once more.
âHahn...Mmh...NnâŠâ
*Gulp*
*Sluuuurp*
âHahăŒ! ...Mmh...NnâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
[06:15] âHaah, haahâŠItâs like Iâm beinâ controlled by them...Fuck! Why are they doinâ this, for realâŠ!? HahnâŠâ
*Gulp*
âMm...Hah...Haah, haah...Oi, Chichinashi. Open your eyes.â
*Smack*
âCome on. Look at me.â
You slowly open your eyes.
[06:53] âLook at that ecstatic look in your eyes. You can act as vulnerable as you want, I can see right through it. How many times do I have to tell you? ăŒăŒ The way you taste speaks louder than a thousand words. HahahaâŠâ
*Sluuuurp*
âItâs oozinâ out of the wounds...Aah...This wonât do...Itâs not nearly enough!â
*Rustle*
[07:30] âOi, Chichinashi. Have you lost the energy to respond? Makes sense, I guess. Those guys already got a taste of you before me after all. How many of them were there? About four of them, right? Hahaha...Thatâs pretty amazinâ ChichinashiâŠâ
*Rustle*
âDid you think I wouldnât notice? But I can. Youâre covered in marks which arenât mine after all. Hahaha...AahăŒ Iâm so pissed off, itâs makinâ me laugh. Hahaha!â
*Cling cling*
[08:21] âI canât believe I still crave your blood, even though Iâm this mad...Fuck! I know that Iâm playinâ straight into their hand, yet IăŒăŒ Kuh!â
*Rustle*
âHaah...I still want moreâŠâ
ăŒăŒ TO BE CONTINUED ăŒăŒ
Translation notes
(1) He just says âyou dog!â (inu) in Japanese. However, since I just used âdogâ in the previous sentence and a female dog is called a âbitchâ in English, I decided to switch it up. It definitely sounds more degrading this way as well.

Kirby: Meta Knight and the Knight of Hades (Chapter 3)
Kirby, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee boarded the battleship Halberd.
After hearing the story, they were surprised.
âEh!? The Galaxia has been stolen!?â
âTroublesome, Meta Knight. I guess you werenât carefulâŠâ
Dedede was going to laugh, but when he saw Meta Knightâs enraged mood, he quickly shut his mouth.
âThen, the Meta Knight I found was a fake but his sword was real. This is terrible!â Kirby said with a furious face.
âI hope no one else was hurt with the Galaxia. If it had a heart, I think it would be sad. Iâm sorry for the Galaxia!â Waddle Dee was worried.
âHe may be doing bad things on other stars. Maybe heâs going to disguise himself as Meta Knight, rampage, and damage Meta Knightâs reputationâŠâ
Captain Vul nodded. âWell, Iâm worried about that too. He may be trying to destroy Meta Knightâs honor. We need to act quicklyâŠâ
At that time, the communications desk rang.
When Axe Knight hit the switch, a surprising face was projected on the screen.
Captain Vul.
Everyone was shocked, seeing Captain Vul sitting next to Meta Knight.
Taken aback, the eagle stared at his face on the screen.
The Captain Vul on the screen said with a serious look, âMeta Knight, itâs a disaster! I was kidnapped by a bad guy and locked up. That eagle next to you is a fake and is aiming for your life!â
âWhat did you say!?â
The Meta Knights, upset, compared the two Captain Vuls.
Sword Knight said, stunned, âThe voice is the same⊠which is the real one!?â
Captain Vul, sitting in his seat, shook his fists and shouted. âNo, I am real! Donât be fooled~!â
Captain Vul on the screen also shouted. âBelieve me, Meta Knight! Iâm the real VulâŠâ
âStop this nonsense.â Meta Knight said in a cold voice to the screen. âI know the real Captain Vul is here. What do you want?â
ïżœïżœ...â
The Captain Vul on the screen suddenly gave a fearless laugh.
âHmm, I canât help it. As you can guess, Iâm not Captain Vul. I am the best disguise master in the universe, I can transform into anyone Iâve seen before. I am Beryl.â
âI donât care about your name. Tell me what you want.â
âItâs about this,â Beryl showed off the Galaxia. âItâs a great sword, just like the legend says. Just swing it lightly and one thing will cut in two!â
Beryl shook the Galaxia and laughed. âIf you want this guy to be returned, prepare 10,000 point stars.â
âWhat?â
âIsnât this your favorite sword? Compared, 10,000 point stars should be cheap.â
Captain Vul burst into anger and shouted, âYouâre asking for a ransom! Monster!â
âHmm! Donât you want me to return it? If not, I guess this is mine.â
âBastard!â
Captain Vul was about to hit the screen until the Meta Knights stopped him in a hurry.
Meta Knight said, âI want the Galaxia back. Tell me where to meet you.â
âHehehe, youâre different from your subordinates. You seem to understand. The place is the planet Magnus. Come to the southern plains of the largest volcano. Ten thousand point stars, donât forget.â
The communication was cut.
Kirby spoke. âI canât believe it! It looked just like Captain Vul, but I couldnât tell which one was real!â
Captain Vul looked up and said to Meta Knight, âYou saw the real eagle without any hesitation! I am deeply moved by this! Thank you, sir!â
Meta Knight nodded silently.
The knights all whispered.
(There was a fake, but he could tell them apart!)
(That was the coolest thing!)
âMeta Knight,â King Dedede spoke. âAre you really willing to pay all those point stars to that guy?â
âNo way,â he replied. âWe will regain the Galaxia by any honorable means.â
âIn other words, youâre going to take it back with force?â
âIt belongs to me!â Behind the mask, the swordsmanâs eyes were shining with a strong light.
Planet Magnus.
Itâs a rough star with many volcanoes. There are a few inhabitants, and the vegetation is scattered.
The Meta Knights came to the plains on the south side of the largest volcano.
What was waiting there was a sword fighter who looked just like Meta Knight holding the Galaxia.
âHe disguised himself as Meta Knight againâŠ!â Blade Knight screamed in anger.
Beryl spoke in Meta Knightâs voice. âThere you are. First of all, letâs get the promised 10,000 point stars.â
âPromised? Youâre a real rotten guy, you know that?â King Dedede said with a moody face. âYou monster, while pretending to be Meta Knight, you rampaged through Dreamland. You should have left us alone. As Dreamlandâs ruler, Iâm going to make you pay, be preparedâŠâ
âBefore you attack, your majesty,â Meta Knight said.
King Dedede raised his hammer and replied. âJust leave this to me.â
âThis is my fight. There is no need for you to get involved.â
âBut you donât even have a weapon.â
âI may not have the Galaxia, but this will be enough.â Meta Knight held a regular sword sold at any weapons store.
âWith such a puny weaponâŠâ
King Dedede looked dissatisfied, but Captain Vul spoke.
âFor Meta Knight, any weapon is powerful. He could even use his bare hands.â
Meta Knight walked towards Beryl.
Kirby and Waddle Dee cheered aloud.
âGo for it, Meta Knight!â
âRally, rally, Meta Knight!â
Meta Knight was full of rage. Even Kirby and Waddle Dee stopped cheering and took a breath.
However, Beryl did not seem to flinch and held tight the Galaxia.
King Dedede muttered, âHe seems to have confidence in his grip, itâs not a bad grip either.â
Sword Knight, annoyed, replied, âThatâs just a pose. It just looks strong because heâs imitating Meta Knight!â
While everyone was watching, Meta Knight started.
âLetâs go!â He shouted and leapt at Beryl. He lifted his sword and tried to slash at that moment.
Meta Knight disappeared.
Kirby and the other screamed involuntarily.
âWhat!? Meta KnightâŠ!â
âHe disappeared!?â
Beryl burst into laughter as if he had won. âFufufu! Hahaha, it was a trap!â
âWanna⊠see?â
Kirby and his friends rushed to the points where Meta Knight disappeared.
There was a deep hole there. It seems there was a thin plate placed on the hole and covered with soil so that it could not be seen. Meta Knight hadnât noticed and fell in.
âOh no! Looks like your precious swordsman fell into a pitfall!â
âMeta Knight! Are you okay!?â Captain Vul called to the bottom of the hole, but there was no reply.
Sword Knight shouted, âPitfalls donât work for Meta Knight. You may not know, but Meta Knight can fly in the air!â
Beryl laughed louder and louder. âFufufu! You donât know anything!â
âWhatâŠ!?â
âThis hole is called âMagnus Hades Holeâ. Itâs so deep that there is a legend that it continues to Hades. Moreover, the hole is filled with poisonous gas.â
âPoisonous gasâŠ!?â
âIf you inhale it, your whole body will quickly become numb and you will not be able to move.â
âWhat did you sayâŠ!?â
Kirby and the others were stunned.
The immobile Meta Knight has no choice but to fall to the bottom of the deep, deep hold. And if he keeps breathing the poisonous gasâŠ
âIâll help him!â
Kirby was absorbed in trying to jump into the hole, but was stopped by King Dedede.
âKnucklehead! The poisonous gas could kill you!â
âBut if he stays in there, Meta KnightâŠ!â
âFufufufu⊠hahahaha!â Beryl laughed. âDonât you see? I didnât come here for some point stars. I want to replace Meta Knight as the number one sword fighter in the galaxy!â
âMonster!â
King Dedede swung his hammer up and attacked Beryl.
Beryl quickly jumped and ran away.
âWait-!â
Kirby tried to chase after them, but Beryl escaped quickly. He soon lost sight of them.
Captain Vul said, âKirby, leave them alone. Now, the first thing to do is rescue Meta Knight.â
âUh, yeah, but howâŠ?â
âHmm⊠if only there was a way to get into the hole without inhaling the gasâŠ!â
Captain Vul pondered with his head in his hand.
Axe Knight shouted, âCaptain, thereâs a hose used for deck cleaning in the warehouse of the Halberd! If itâs long enough, do you think itâll be useful!?â
âOh, thatâs a good idea!â Captain Vul clapped his hands. âGet the hose right away! Hurry up!â
Kirby and Dedede can both hover in the air. Unfortunately, King Dedede got hungry so Kirby decided to go down into the hole.
âBe careful, Kirby.â
Waddle Dee seemed uneasy, but Kirby cheerfully replied.
âItâs okay! Iâll bring Meta Knight home.â
Captain Vul shouted. âHurry up, Kirby! We donât have much time!â
âAlright!â
Kirby grabbed the hose and jumped into the hole.
The inside of the hole was dark and difficult to see.
Kirby went down into the dark at full speed.
He wanted to call to Meta Knight, but he couldnât speak with the hose in his mouth. In his heart, he kept screaming.
(Iâm coming! Hold on Meta Knight!)
As the name Hades Hole suggests, the hole was horribly deep.
There seemed to be no end in sight.
As he went down the rocky interior, the air felt thinner.
(How long does this last⊠The hose, I wonder if itâs long enough⊠I might really fall into HadesâŠ)
At that moment, Kirbyâs hand finally touched something hard.
(Ah! Meta Knight!)
He reached the bottom of the hole that seemed to continue forever.
Meta Knight was out cold. Even if Kirby shook him, there was no reaction.
(Firmly nowâŠ!)
Kirby held the body of Meta Knight tightly with both hands.
He was hovering as hard as he could! He was approaching the light above where everyone was waiting. Kirby sped up.
Rescued by his friend, Meta Knight was immediately brought to the Battleship Halberd.
âMeta Knight! Meta Knight-!â
Captain Vul and his men continued to speak, but Meta Knightâs consciousness did not return. His body temperature was getting lower and lower. He was hardly breathing.
King Dedede said wildly, âHey, Meta Knight! Buddy, how long are you gonna sleep? Hey, Iâll wake you up!â
Meta Knightâs subordinates rushed to stop him when he raised his hammer.
Captain Vul said. âCalm down, your majesty. You canât use your hammer, we need a doctor. Find the best doctor in the universe!â
The Meta Knights ran off and began to look in the database.
Kirby and Waddle Dee were sitting in the corner of the lobby drowning in worry.
â...Itâs okay, Kirby. Meta Knight will be fine, rightâŠ?â
âHeâll be alright. Meta Knight is⊠strong.â Kirby replied, but his voice was weak.
Sword Knight and Blade Knight called out to him.
âKirby. Letâs leave this to Captain Vul, weâre going out.â
âEh? Where are you going?â
âWeâve decided. Weâre going to catch this disguise master!â
Their voices were powerful.
Kirby stood up in a heartbeat. âThatâs right. We canât let them get away!â
âIâm going too!â King Dedede interrupted. âIâm not doing this for Meta Knight, I just donât like that disguise guy! Iâm gonna have to hit him with my hammer. AndâŠâ
Dedede was quiet.
âIf heâs still disguised as Meta Knight, making him bruised will feel all the much better.â
â...Sheesh, what a guy.â Sword Knight was disappointed, but regardless, the goal was set.
Captain Vul came in. âMeta Knight will be saved. You guys go take care of this business! Go on!â

@8:30pm Brittany and Chris' House
Caleb: Hey Britt, did you get the rest of the photo's that I sent to you?
Brittany:[Two hours later] Hey! I am so sorry that I'm just now getting back to you. Chris and I was putting Ari asleep. But yes! I did get them! Thank you so much!
Caleb: Oh it's okay. I knew it was around her bed time.
Caleb: okay.. cool. Did you like them.
Brittany: Yes! I loved them. Especially the one that you took of Dylan and Charice dancing together. I know they are gonna love this. Thank you for helping me out.
Caleb: Yeah.. I figured they would want all of the pictures with themselves as well. I also put some pictures of their kids and their cousins in there as well.
Brittany: Thank you Caleb. This is helping me out so well. I would have Chris help me. But.. he isn't to happy with Dylan and I don't want him to feel like he has to help.
Caleb: No problem.. anything for you Britt. oh and Chris too.
Brittany: You are such a good friend to me Caleb.. I am so lucky to have you.
Caleb: Too bad it can't be more then that...{Kicks himself for sending that.]
Brittany: What? đ€š
Caleb: Sorry Brittany I didn't mean to send that.. It was for a client. We are talking about price range on pictures. lolđ„ž
Brittany: Oh okay! lol I got kind of nervous for a second..
Caleb: uh yeah.. anyways did you see the pictures that I got of you and myself? If I would have known that it would be the last picture I would take with you for a while. I would have done more.
Brittany: yes! I did.. I um. Kept them for myself. I don't have many pictures of you and I. So I thought I would put them in my own scrape book. But yeah.. I wish you could come to the party. I'm sure everyone would love to see you.
Caleb: Oh Well I still have some pictures of you, me, and Ari ice skating... I can send them to you.
Caleb: oh yeah? What about you?
Brittany: AHHHH I'm literally screaming! Yes! You have to! I still have pictures of you falling on your butt, because you were trying to not hit the old lady!
Brittany: lol Caleb you know I would love for you to be there..
Caleb: oh god No! Don't remind me. I can't believe she tried to hit me with her cane because she thought I was gonna hit on her. lol.
Caleb: Really?
Brittany: hahaha oh god stop! I can't laugh to loud I'll wake up Chris.
Brittany: YES Dork! I would love for you to be there!
Caleb: haha I was trying so hard to get away from her. But I kept falling on my ass. I literally had to scoot off the ass. lol FYI That lady is fast as hell for a ederly. She was yelling at me in some language I didn't know! I guess you and Chris are good now?
Caleb: mmmhmmm Are you sureeee?
Brittany: Hahaha stoppppp! I'm gonna peeeeeee! lol lol! She really was fast though! She was cussing you out in Russian! She calling you a asshole! lol Oh yeah! We are great! Thank you for pushing me to talk to him.
Brittany: Stop asking when you know the answerrrrr! -_____-
Caleb: hahahaha [rolling around his bed like an idiot] Don't pee on yourself Britt! Oh the way I forget you can speak Russian! Well I mean you are part Russian.. so it makes sense.. lol Well that lady was rude!
Caleb: Just wanted to make sure. lol that's all. Well Brittany. I gotta go.. my client is calling me. and your welcome by the way.. I see how happy Chris makes you happy. You deserve that.
Brittany: haha Well then stop making me laugh! lol
Brittany: awww okay! Well you answer that phone call then. I'll take you tomorrow.
Brittany: Oh and Caleb?!
Caleb: yeah?
Brittany: You know I want you to be happy right? I want you to have a girl that is gonna treat you right and make you smile.
Caleb: Thank you Brittany. That means a lot to me. Unfortunately. I found her. But she isn't available..
Brittany: oh... Well I'm sorry Caleb. BUT Don't worry. You will find you someone special. Good night Caleb.ăŸ(â§ââŠ)ă

Tendou and Semi Cuckold Part 1
**Part 2** IF THE LINK DOES NOT WORK, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. PART 2 CAN BE FOUND ON MY PAGE RIGHT NOW ANYWAY
CW/TW for Pt. 1: Fem Reader x Tendou + Semi, voyeurism, exhibitionism, mentions of weed, cursing, vaginal play, smoking weed.
Y/N comes home from college to her bfâs house. Heâs rooming with Semi, whoâs always had eyes for Y/N. That doesnât bother Tendou. In fact, it excites him...
(Basically, Tendou is lead dom here)
CW/TW for BOTH PARTS: Fem Reader x Tendou + Semi, spit roast (tag team), double penetration, voyeurism, exhibitionism, vaginal/anal play, shotgunning, (smoke), oral sex (giving), mentions of weed, cursing, pussy rubbing?, whining, creampie, praise/degradation kink.
18+ MINORS DNI
You were so fed up with midterms. 5 exams this week. 5 e x a m s. You just wanted to go home and get away from this fucking campus. You left your class and checked back into your dorm to empty out your book bag of notebooks onto the floor.
You pack a few clothes and your wallet. Your roommate had left for the weekend to her girlfriendâs house and so, you locked the door and left. You took the 11 up west to where you lived and walked home with your headphones on.
You stopped in front of a mini market and figured your parents hadnât cooked dinner since they worked nights. It was already evening time, so you decided âwhat the hell.â You walked in and walked out with some instant ramen, a bag of jerky, and a Reeses, Tendouâs favorite candy.
Speak of the devil, your phone buzzed. It was Tendou asking if your midterms went well.
âThey were fine. Thanks for asking, babe. Iâm home rnâ You typed as you bit a chunk out of the piece of meat.
âOoo. Want me to pick you up tonight?â, he texted.
You were really close to home. The market was just down the street. As you made it to your front gate, you saw a note at the front that said, âGone for the weekend. Say hi to Tendou from us if you decide to stay over.â
âSay less!â You shout happily.
âNo, Iâm heading over rn,â you type quickly. Tendou was also nearby your house. You walked down the quiet neighborhood as you ate your jerky and listened to your vaporwave. It was rarely a nice day in March; a good 68 degrees. Odd in the early spring where you lived, but a nice change from the dreadful winter you had suffered during the fall semester.
You knocked at the front door and was greeted by a tall blonde face you recognized from your boyfriendâs high school volleyball team. He has on some black sweats and a white tank. He opened the door while his head was turned to the side, completely focused on the volleyball game on t.v. âHey, Y/N,â he said as he just turned his head for a second before it swung back the side to focus on the t.v. He stepped aside as you walked past him.
You walked in to the faint smell of weed, smoked probably a few hours ago. You set the grocery back down and hung your jacket at the front. The house was dark. It was 6:43 pm to be fair, the sun had almost fully disappeared. The tvâs glare and Tendouâs computer screen were the only source of light at the moment.
You walked to where Tendou was sitting. Shirtless and in some grey sweats, he was shouting in his headset. âCome on, you motherfucker! Heâs right there!â, he shouted as he pointed to the computer screen at his game. He felt your warm hug around him and he looked back and leaned into your kiss.
âHey baby,â he said. He turned back and yelled to the set again, âCome on, you dick! Oh my fucking-â
You chuckled and backed away to let him continue playing. Semi was on the couch and glued to the game on the tv. His knees were spread and you climbed over to sit down on the other side of the couch. Your passing did not faze him at all. He kept his focus on the game. âYes!â, Semi shouted as the whistle blew on the tv. It was some random college game. You sighed and scrolled through your phone.
The coffee table in front of the tv was messy. An ashtray of burnt out cigarettes and blunts, leaves of weed sprinkled throughout, and empty beer and redbull cans. Keys, wallets, a few bills here and there, and a charging PS4 controller.
You shut off your phone and asked. âCan we order some takeout?â You figure the 2 packets of ramen werenât enough to feed all three of you, and you knew Tendou nor Semi couldn't cook, or even have food in the fridge, except for drinks and the occasional condiment or two.
Tendou sighed in relief at the screen as âYOU WONâ appeared in green and he took his headset. âSure, babe,â he said as he held the power button to shut off the computer. âSemi, do you mind takeout?â, Tendou asked. Semi shook his head no. You walk over to the kitchen and try to find a menu. âThat place over on 5th is really good,â you shout back to them.
You get no response as you burrow through Tendouâs messy kitchen drawers. You canât find any takeout menu as you look through them. âBabe?â, you call out. âWhat?â, Tendou calls out from the living room. âWhere are the take out menus? Theyâre not in the kitchen.â
âCheck the bedroom, hun,â Tendou said. You swish your lips as your stomach growls. That jerky wasn't enough to hold you. You hadnât eaten anything since breakfast. Exams ran through your lunch period so you were starved the whole day. You look through Tendouâs room and into his closet to find a pile of menus. âWhat the hell are these doing here?â, you ask yourself.
You get a pile of your favorite restaurantsâ takeout menus and flip through them, trying to find your favorite one. Suddenly, you felt a finger slide right between your folds and you yelp. Tendou wrapped his elbow right on top of your breasts and held you in a choke hold. He continued to slide his finger in between your folds on the outskirts of your tights, and then two fingers.
You bite your lips and roll your eyes back. Tendou chuckles and sinks his kisses right under your ear. You close your thighs, tightening his fingers and making him rub your clit more. You bend your knees and grind against his groin, him following the motion and grinding back with you.
It has been 3 months without sex since winter break. No orgasm whatsoever. You couldnât even touch yourself in the dorms. Senior year was brutal with classes and internships. You were just exhausted and starved. Tendou let go of his chokehold and cupped one of your breasts. âJesusss,â he hissed and he kissed your cheeks and squeezed it.
âTendou,â you let out in a breathy moan. âWe gotta...eatâŠâ You could barely form a sentence. âI missed you so much, baby,â Tendou says in your ear. His fingers are going ham in between your folds. He stops and pulls you by your arm and pins them behind your back with one hand while he bends you over the dresser. Your tights were thin, and therefore, made your pussy easy access.
Tendou took his index, middle, and ring fingers and rubbed your pussy from the back. You let out a few tiny moans and close your eyes at the feeling. You quiver and throw your head back.
âWhere is my charger?â Semi asked himself as he looked around the outlets in the living room. âAh shit!â He realized itâs in Tendouâs bedroom since he needed it last night. Semi walked over only to stop at the door. It was slightly cracked open and he heard moans. He figured you and Tendou needed some alone time.
Semi turned away and wanted to wait until you two were finished. âAhhh fuuuck!â, you shouted in such a pretty whine. Semi paused in his steps. He looked to the side and sighed. âJust a peek,â he told himself. He turned back and looked into the door. The tent in his pants was pitched just from your moan.
Lord, were you a sight. He knew you were his best friendâs girl...but damn...you canât blame him. You were just his type, and you were always over during winter break. He could hear your moans all the time. And he didnât mind. You were fun to listen to. He always jerked off to your moans at night. And whenever he had sex with his one night stands, your vision was what he saw sometimes. It haunted him. He felt so guilty being Tendouâs friend knowing he had such thoughts.
âHAHAHAHA!â Tendou let out a belly laugh as he threw his head back when Semi opened up to his best friend about his guilty conscience. Tendou took an inhale of his blunt and blew it out with another slight chuckle and a sigh. âWhy are you laughing? Iâm serious, man. I feel awful. And Iâm so sorry,â Semi said sentimentally. Tendou shook his head and smiled.
âYou donât get it, do you?â Tendou asked. Semi made a confused face. Tendou smiled and scratched his forehead with his blunt still in his hand. âYou seeâŠ.â he began as he leaned in. âI like to...how do I say thisâŠâ he paused as he began to think his words carefully.
âI know my girl is hot, Semi. I know guys look at her all the time. I donât worry, though. In fact, itâs kind of hot to think everyone wants her, but only I get to have her.â Tendou wasnât wrong. Every event you came to for their high school, like a volleyball meet or an elegant sports dinner, a lot of guys were over you. Not to mention, Tendou always asked for you to wear tight cocktail dresses or ones that showed off your tits or ass a little. He got off on guys eyeing you as you walked in.
He watched from a distance as guys would ask you, âCan I buy you a drink?â âCan I hold your coat?â âCan I get your number?â Nothing dangerous or unwelcomed, of course. Both you and Tendou liked the attention. And Tendou was always there to make sure everything went well, as he swooped you in last minute and gave you a deep kiss in front of all the guys, making them sigh in despair as they knew you were taken.
Tendou smiled as he watched Semiâs mouth gaped in confusion. âI still donât get it. Youâre not mad at me?â Tendou shook his head as he inhaled his blunt. Semi began to stutter; âBut...but...but I imagine Y/n-â
âDonât you get it?â, Tendou said as he cut him off and leaned in. âIt turns me on, Semi. I get hard thinking someone likes Y/n.â Smoke escaped Tendouâs nostrils as he smirked. Semi backed away, almost disgusted.
âHow?â, he asked, horrified. Tendou leaned back into his chair and shrugged. âI donât know. Itâs just hot. I know sheâll always be mine. But, I always had a fetish of her fucking someone in front of me. Or at least a threesome, you know? Whatâs that shit called?â
âCuckolding?â, Semi asked. âThatâs it!â, Tendou shouted joyfully at Semi recalling the word he forgot.
Semi shook his head at the past conversation he had with Tendou. He was leaking pre cum from his pants as he watched you quiver at Tendouâs hands. âSe-Semiiii!â, you let out whined. âAh fuck,â Semi whispers as he grabs his hardened crotch.
âWhatâs that, baby?â, Tendou asked as he leaned in your ear. âSe-Semi might hear,â you whine as you furrow your eyebrows and close your eyes at Tendouâs pace. Tendou smirks and looks up in the mirror and at the doorway. He sees a figure moving in the lit hallway. He forms a cheshire grin.
Semi freezes in fear, but then realizes Tendou is probably loving this. Tendou smiles in the mirror while glaring at Semi and rubs your pussy faster. You quiver and release yourself from Tendouâs grasp and grip the sides of the dresser. Your head is pressed down by Tendouâs hand and you tremble from your orgasm creeping on you.
You beg and ask for permission. âOh god! Pleaseeee! Please, sir! Please!â Semi is pulling on his crotch outside the door, thanking Tendou telepathically for leaving a slight crack in the door to peek at this show. Semi was full on hard, and he whipped his cock out and stroked it as he watched you melt in Tendouâs hands.
Tendou suddenly pulled away at your dismay. âFuck!â, you yell out. âNo,â Tendou said sternly as he smiled. Semi realized Tendou had just edged the both of you. Tendouâs fingers were pruned, and a bit sticky from your wet pussy. Your juices had leaked through your thin panties and tights, and onto his fingers. He stuck his fingers in his mouth and caught a whiff of your heat he had just violated.
You slide down to the floor and breathe heavily. Your clit was pulsating, beating rapidly, like a heartbeat. Your hair was a mess and your face was flushed red. Tendou knelt down to your height and kissed you. âNice to have you home, baby.â You smile and let out sighs before you see a shadow move in the hallway. You gasp as Semi suddenly disappears. Tendou looks back and smiles. He stands back over you and lends a hand to help you stand up.
âThe menu was on top of the fridge, baby. â You smiled gently as you exited the bedroom first and entered the hallway into the living room. Semi was on the couch with a pillow on his lap and scrolling mindlessly through his phone. Tendou was on the phone while you sat down next to Semi. You looked over at his flushed face. How cute.
