you played with the hemline of you skirt. it was SO awkward. this was supposed to be a picnic planned for you and seungmin only, but somehow he insisted for your bestfriend, yena to come as well. why ? you had no clue either. “here babe.” he said as he passed you a strawberry shortcake, not forgetting to hand one to yena too. you gave him a weak smile as you placed the plate on the ground, opting to take a sip from the coffee he had ordered. it tasted bitter.

“ so yena, how’s your progress on mr kim’s project ?” seungmin asked, taking a bite into the cake. “the same, nothing. i swear to god mr kim can kiss my ass. he made the work so hard, ugh ! “ seungmin chuckled at her reaction. all you could do was sit in silence. it didnt help much that you didnt arent in mr kim’s class. “you know, if you really needed help, we could do it together right ?” yena’s face brightened up immediately as she forced a smile with her mouth full of cake “really ?! youre such a god sent seung ! i literally love you so much-“ the words had slipped unintentionally. yena’s eyes widened in horror “ NO WAIT Y/N I DIDNT MEAN IT THAT WAY-“ you gave her an awkward chuckle, assuring her that it was fine.

you caught yourself staring into blank space as they continued their long rant about how horrible mr kim was as a lecturer. poking at the strawberry cake infront of you, you were bored to your death. what kind of date is this ? you thought. and thats when it all clicked. it wasnt supposed to be a date with you, but her. he was just obligated to bring you with him because you were his girlfriend. come to think of it, you were always the one who initiated things, whenever HE initiates something, yena would somehow have a part to play in it.

did he only agreed to date you for his own benefits ? did he ever truly love you ? all those “i love you” exchanged, did he ever mean any of it ? you were drowning in your thoughts until someone called your name, snapping you out of it. “y/n ! stop playing with your food… its getting everywhere. why didnt you eat it ? its your favourite…” that sentence confirmed your suspicions, your worst fear. “no.” “no …? i-im lost…”

you were unsure what happened but something inside you snapped. “ no. im done. im done with this hangout. im sitting here like a fool, watching you flirt with her ?! “ seungmin stared at you, offended. “excuse me ?! i set this up for you ! i just thought you would appreciate it if i like your BEST FRIEND come with. unless youre saying you wish she wasnt here.” a scoff youve been holding in left your mouth. “ dont put words in my mouth. but at this point, if this keeps up, i wont mind admitting to that. considering how IM ALLERGIC TO STRAWBERRIES and her FAVOURITE cake is STRAWBERRY shortcake. and lets not forget how you got me an expresso knowing damn well i only drink mocha and SHE only drinks expresso. “

“you dont seem to mind it at all. “ you were dumbfounded. how could he say such things ? “ i didnt want to say anything because i wanted to see how far things would go… but its gone far enough. “ tears threaten to spill from your eyers. “you dont love me anymore do you ?“ you mustve looked pathetic in their eyes. “i know that i-i just need to hear it from you in order to move on. “ he looked you dead in the eye. “ i dont love you anymore. i love yena.” you didnt expect the second part at all. it hit you so hard you couldnt hold it together anymore. “y/n im so sorr-“ yena said as she attempted to hold onto your arm. funny how the hands that once brought you comfort was now seen as disgusting by you. “dont touch me !” yena looked away guiltily. “lets break up y/n. im sorry things turned out this way. “ seungmin said as he handed you a tissue. at least he wasnt THAT heartless. “i always knew you loved her. even more than you loved me. have a good life. the both of you.” and with that, you walked out forever, never looking back.

O! Toshinori Yagi x A! Hero Reader

Nobody ever mentions the bad parts of being a pro-hero. Seeing children hurt and struggling, seeing people who need help yet can’t get it, and seeing just how people have started relying on heroes for almost everything. Sometimes, all of that comes crashing down on you.

Yet you couldn’t help but feel a wave of relief when you opened the door to your apartment only to notice a soft green tea scent. Toshinori was home and he seemed to be content, and that instantly put your Alpha at ease. 

Walking inside, you glance around the living room while discarding your jacket. No sign of your lanky mate. Quietly walking to the bedroom, both the bed and nest were empty yet had been picked up since this morning. You could only grin as you continued looking for your Omega. 

You walked past the kitchen, nothing. You walked into the Office, nothing. It didn’t hit where he was until you heard the water running in the bathroom. You felt your alpha perk up as you rushed towards the bathroom, feet still hardly making any noise on the floor.

Once you stood outside the bathroom, the green tea scent seemed stronger than ever. You could only grin as your alpha clawed at your chest, wanting to join your Omega as he prepared a bath. Before opening the door, you knocked to warn your mate that you were there yet it mustve still spooked him cause you could hear his soft panicked chirp. 

You peaked in to see him sitting on the floor, candles scattered around him. He had always been a bit picky when it comes to scents, so you assumed he was just trying to think of which ones he wanted to light. 

“You okay, Toshi?” You asked, smiling as you moved to join him on the floor. His sharp cheeks were obviously burning a bit darker than he would like them to be, but you could only smile more at them. Making Toshinori blush was something that made your Alpha prideful. Just the fact that you both have been mates for so long, and you still could make him blush made you purr. You noticed how he pouted a little, letting out a soft huff at your light teasing.

“I’m fine...Just thinking about which ones would go together.” You grinned and moved to pick up the one he just sat down before smirking. It was a scentless one. 

Sometimes he was just too funny,

“How about we light these,” You shook the white candle in your hand. “And we just enjoy our scents?” The blush was now starting to reach his forehead and he huffed again before moving to press his head into your shoulder. Poor baby got embarrassed so easily sometimes. Your hand moved to wrap around him before you whispered, “Water is still on Toshi. Might want to turn it off before we decide to soak the floors.” 

The Omega jumped and quickly moved to turn off the water before testing it with his hand. You could see the steam coming from it so you knew it was pretty damn hot. Once he turned back around, he huffed at your cheeky smile and moved to grab the lighter that was on the counter. “You’ve always been so mean. I swear I can never get a break with you.” 

As he placed the lit candles, you moved to put away all of the others that were tossed everywhere. “Well if I didn’t tease you a little, you’d get bored of me,” slipping your arms around his waist, you kissed the bonding mark that was visible because of the large shirt that slipped down his shoulder. “And we both know I can’t have that happening.” 

The tea scent got stronger and you could hear the deep purrs coming from his omega. He moved a little to escape your arms before kissing your head. “You’ve never been boring. I can absolutely promise you that. Now uh,” You smirked, seeing the pink returning to his cheeks once again as he got bashful. “Will you?” 

“Of course. I need to hold my baby.” You moved to press a quick kiss to his lips before moving to strip yourself of your shirt. As you undressed, Toshinori couldn’t help but get lost in thought after hearing your words, starting to mumble to himself. 

“Toshi,” His head shot up. “Just a bad day at work. I’ll explain in the bath, but babe let’s get in there first.” You gave a comforting smile yet his brow only furrowed, able to see it was a little forced. 

You both quickly stripped down and got in the tub, relaxing as the hot water did wonders for your aching bodies. Toshi quickly threw the long parts of his hair into a makeshift bun to keep it from getting completely soaked before leaning back against you, humming when he felt your arms slowly wrap around him. 

You grinned and moved to shower his neck with kisses, enjoying how he purred and squirmed because of the affection before quickly turning his head to kiss you. 

Baths with Toshinori were always oddly comforting, and a bit goofy. I mean...this is a man who had to custom order a bathtub so he could actually fit in it. His lanky limbs never actually stilling, like a child who couldn’t sit still in class. You couldn’t help but chuckle at your thoughts as Toshi pulled away and raised an eyebrow, but quickly laid back down on you.

“So...Do you want to talk about work today?” He asked after a couple of minutes. You could feel his hands gripping at yours and hear the worry in his voice. You only smiled and moved to kiss over his scent gland softly. 

“Was it about the school?” he asked cautiously before moving slightly to look at you. “I noticed how there was an attack...but I had to make sure my kids were okay.” He asked softly before moving to snuggle against you more, hoping his scent would start to calm you down.

You slowly started to break in your lovers arms, talking about how you did your best to protect all of the students in the crumbling building, yet one still didn’t make it out. Your omega frowned deeply, wishing he still had his quirk, before he moved to scent you heavily. He cooed to try to calm you down as your scent burned, but he also knew that if he tried to calm you too much, you would only shut down and bottle your feelings up more.

Once the water grew cold, you started calming down. Toshi pulled away from you and kissed your head, quietly wiping your eyes before grinning a little. He knew this pain you were feeling well since even he had bad days where he couldn’t save everybody. It was always much worse when children were involved though. Those days killed his omega the most.

“Hey...Alpha, look at me.” He carefully lifted your head before kissing your cheeks softly. “You did everything that you could, and I’m so proud of you. If you weren’t there, so many other kids would’ve been hurt.” He continued to softly pepper your face with kisses before slowly pulling away once again. “Let’s get out of the bath and make dinner. You did amazing today, so lets relax for the rest of it.” Another quick peck hit your nose before the tall blond moved to blow out the candles and drain the water. 

As he did that, you quickly got up and grabbed towels for you both. Toshi slowly stood and grinned, taking the towel to dry himself off before wrapping it around his waist before grabbing your hand to lead you to the bedroom so you both could get dressed. 

It was only after the Omega put on his boxers that he felt familiar arms wrap around him. He softly chirped before turning around to hug you back, only grinning bigger when he heard you suggest ordering dinner instead of actually cooking. 

You both ended up in Toshinoris nest, turning on the television to watch a movie while waiting for the food to show up at your door.

Precipice Pt. 2: Amh Areng

oh fun. a desert. i’m dressed just fine but i don’t know how Fray isn’t boiling in that armor, same as how anyone doesnt freeze to death in their armor in Coerthas. i was told Alisaie has been mainly down in this area so i made plans to come here next; Fray insisted on coming along. The Night’s Blessed didnt really like that idea despite the wary gazes i see him getting from them a lot. it’s so vast and empty, i mean a desert is a desert and somehow Ul’Dah is doing just fine but this.....this is like advanced empty.  now why in the Hells would someone wanna come here other then to die alone? cause that’s what you’ll get here. just you, the sineaters and the not kobolds. speaking of them just makes my stomach turn, that was some of the most disgusting food. “Are you gonna puke again cause if not we should keep moving before the sineaters surround us.”

“It’s worse. it’s the feeling of needing to but nothing happens.” I held my stomach as we trudged through the sand. “Where even is this place he told us she was?” i pulled out my map and looked at what little remained of Norvrandt, the wind pushing sand onto it as i knelt. “I think we’re lost i swear i saw that pillar 5 minutes ago.” i heard a battle in the distance so i stood and shoved the map at Fray then took off. as i ran i heard the sounds of a female voice shouting. is it someone in trouble........or is it Alisaie? i get to the site and find a dead sineater as well as Alisaie. She was shocked to see me then looked over my shoulder so Fray mustve caught up to me. i looked over at him and was met with a glare. “You can handle yourself in a fight dont give me that look.” he rolls his eyes then gave me the map. “Oh this is Fray by the way Alisaie i don’t see why you two would know each other. i met him in Ishgard. don’t know why he’s here but that’s not the important thing right now.” she took us back to where was staying and it’s this little makeshift looking “inn” if i can even call it that; more a camp really. the people here look so desolate it’s a sinking feeling to see so much hopelessness. i learned they all were corrupted by Light and came here to die essentially. This was like some next level despair even Fray looked shaken. there’s a child here. as if i needed another reason to fight some Lightwardens. Alisaie brought us over to him and a caretaker here, this pretty young lady, said his name is Halric. there’s no cure i’m told for Light corruption or obviously it’d be distributed or mass produced. well that’s the hope anyways. 

later around a fire, the three of us and her, the air was still smothering with desolation but she tried to remain optimistic and told us about her mother. and about some of these people. She’s got such hopes for the future and a good head on her shoulders. Bold enough to dream in a crushed world like this. it takes guts to not immediately give into despair. i stared into the fire like it was the meaning of life, their conversation fading as i zoned out. if only fighting these SOBs would cure the corruption. i’d fight for this child here. everyone else is on their own, this kid looks like he cant be more then like 10. too young. i’m not getting any sleep tonight there’s too much to think about to sleep. I don’t think i’ve ever seen Fray sleep either yet he has the gall to come for my throat about sleeping. Alisaie i’m surprised was resting and the woman was tending to these people. i got to my feet deciding to go for a walk, just to get out of this enclosement. i walked a fair ways away from the camp and settled on top of a building looking at the wall of Light. 

“WE HAVE TO FIND HIM! AREN’T YOU THE LEAST BIT WORRIED ABOUT NEY?!” What a wake up call. what’s going on? i rubbed my eyes and sat up to see i had passed out on top of the building. whoops. after stretching then standing i looked down at the ground below searching for the tiny angry child. what’s got her goat? i don’t know but id better go find her and tell her i’m available to help. she could also be looking for me outta the kindness of her heart. if anyone else cited that as a reason i’d sock them in the jaw, but i’m inclined to believe Alisaie would do that. is he with her? she can handle her own but i trust Fray bout as far as i can throw him. i got to the ground level and ran back for the camp in search of her. “oh you’ve returned! she was awful serious about running out and searching for you despite us saying we saw you walk out last night. where were you if i may ask?” 

“I was on that building over yonder. mustve fallen asleep up there.” i rubbed my neck and looked around. 

“That man with you went out searching as well, though they went in different directions. if one shows back up we’ll keep them here till you return.” I thanked them then took off in the direction opposite the building i slept on. I also noticed that caretaker and Halric were absent as well. i hope they are looking for him over me, i can defend myself after all. Well we found Halric. the only good thing apparently that’s happened today. it took like all day but it happened. i wasn’t there to witness but apparently that caretaker is now a sineater and flew off. we’ll probably have to kill her later. Alisaie is taking it super hard. i hardly knew the woman but she deserved to go out a better way. all i can do is try to offer support. her brother would know better words then i on this matter probably. 

She’s hellbent on fixing Halric and finding some way to halt the corruption and like, i get that i understand it but that’s the tallest of orders and quite frankly impossible. maybe in this instance death is a mercy then becoming a monster. i stepped out again but this time Fray followed and we didnt go far, just to that building again. “Talk to me Ney. what’s going on?”

“Am i callous for wanting to just do whatever the fuck we were called here to do and leaving? of course i want the kid to grow up and be happy. and she had such hope in this broken world. but that’s not how life works. death may be the only mercy these people get. end their suffering before there’s nothing of them left to put at peace. quit looking at me like that you’re just as callous Fray.” he put his hands up then shrugged. 

“I didn’t say anything. but it’s nice to see a bit of how your brain works. detachment isnt the answer. i think the three of us here are proof you don’t actually want to be alone in life.” he pulls me back to the camp and went over to the table Halric was sitting at. don’t do that. dont act like you know me. i might do something stupid like trust you.
