Most of my order from @xmaruu11 and @kitsuneisi 's DDVAU merch shop has come in! I'm so excited to finally have most of it (just waiting on the posters!)

Vograce did an amazing job on the quality, and Doody and Maruu made such cute designs. The connection charms are some of my favorite merch designs I've ever seen, because they're incredibly creative. I love how they're made to look like the bottom person is actually being carried by the top person and how everyone has wildly different reactions to the situation!

Mother Spore is absolutely adorable in her charm!

I knew I would love the stickers ever since Maruu showed off the designs. They're so glossy and feel super high quality!! I'm so excited to put them in my sticker book.

Now onto the book, I will not lie I teared up when I picked up the book. It's small, but its heavy with the weight of how much effort and love I know has been put into it. The front and back covers are gorgeous. The comic printed so well, especially the colors!!!

I feel incredibly honored to hold this book in my hands. Thank you Maruu and Doody, you have created a beautiful comic and story, and I cannot wait to learn more about that world and support you two while you continue to create.

Do you have any recommendations on trying to find old Dan and phil merch? Been looking at a couple places and haven’t had much luck yet unfortunately 😢

i have to be honest most of the time it’s just pure luck! but my main go to places are ebay, vinted and depop. I’ve bought a lot of the old stuff from ebay and it not 1 thing from vinted and i haven’t bought from depop yet mostly cos there isn’t as much of there and any time i do see something it’s from america and im not paying the shipping on that 😂

at one point i was checking these sites at least once a day sometimes more!

my biggest advice tho is to make sure you’re comparing the resell price to the original item price which you can find on the phandom wiki where the amazing team there have posted every merch item ever and the original price it was sold at

also with ebay make sure that you look at t-shirts closely cos some of them are not the real merch and are reprints (there’s a lot of district lines merch that actually just a reprint) if you specifically are looking for the district lines iconic amazingphil and danisnotonfire shirt then the original artist is selling them on redbubble so you know by purchasing that you’re actually supporting the person who drew it!

I think purity culture has ruined fandoms: everyone is so ansty to prove how pure they are that they attack and harass people horribly and call it "activism". Be it people attacking teenagers in the Marauders fandom because there's this new rule you can't even write the words Harry Potter without summoning a hoard of naysayers who accuse you of endorsing holocaust or some shit just for liking something linked with Miss Black Mold, or be it people harassing SA victims who still dare say they find solace in their old NCG's fandoms, in the stories they loved and made theirs from their childhoods or as adults. This uglyness that runs into tumblr and is infecting every fandom, every social media actually, is so fucking gross. Putting the blame of the evils of consumerism or rich people onto the single person reeks of late stage activism. No one knows what to do anymore, so we start eating each others, and then purity culture morphs into these extreme forms of harassment, that are becoming more and more normal by the day.

I'm starting to get tired of the internet as a whole.

I know it's literally midnight on a tuesday but also my favorite band in the whole world just released a new album and y'all it's so fucking GOOD !!!! The Maine are 9 (NINE !!!) albums in and they're making some of the best music they've ever made.

I got tickets to Denver to celebrate this album being released without having heard a single song because in the 16 years they've been a band, The Maine truly haven't released a bad song. And i'm so proud to be here on this day celebrating this fucking BANGER of an album !!!

Give it a listen if you like Feeling Things and Grooving and feeling like a disco cowboy. Happy 8/1/23 Day Y'all !!! 8123 really does mean everything to me
