Preview) Passionate Gifts| Functinal Designer Bag

Hi everyone. I hope you are all doing well! I have some exciting things to share and show you🤩!

✨This is one of the most exciting updates that I have made. There is more to it than what you saw in the preview video. The video covers just the animation; there are a lot of other features!

Basically, the update will have a whole new mod! So please Try to read the full post. Don't skip to the download page; there are some important things to know before Downloading it and using it,

The New Animation:

Let's start with the animations. This interaction has multiple animations that they may play each time you perform it. (just some small cute variation to the main animation)

One major new thing with this interaction is that it's staring from the back. Your sims will come from the back to give the gifts.

The Pros are: I think it looks great, I think coming from the back adds to The intimacy and surprise element of giving gifts, But the Cons are the game interactions are all face to face, so doing it like this isn't the best and the smoothest way to do it,

The New Designer Bag Gift:

The Designer Bag will cost your sim $1500 Simoleons ( I think it's well worth it; more on it later in this post!). The new interaction is located in the passionate gift pie menu under the romance category, with its own Custom Icons.

There are 12 in total swatches/brands that you can get. I will show you some of them now and let you explore the others.

I first planned to make it into a one-box gift, and then you can change the swatch by build buy, but it was a little bit inconvenience for the gameplay, and I didn't like it that much,

So I had to push it a little bit further, and thankfully, I did manage to figure out how to add all of them (it was one of the main reasons that extended the release date),

So now, every time you give the gift, your sims may give and receive one of 12 different Designer Bags. Each bag has its own Package Box, and the gift will change depending on each swatch. So, basically, there are twelve new gifts in this update.

You can still change the swatch by build-buy, but I think it is more fun to let your sim choose. I have also added a small mechanic to lower the chance of giving Duplicate swatches if you already have that bag in your sim inventory.

(I just want to mention that I added a surprise animation when they see the prize tag! It's just a small detail that I thought it would look cute 👇) 

The Interaction Outcome:

After performing the interaction, your sim will receive the Designer Bag and its own custom Package Box. Also, your sim will receive some Buffs and moodlets for both the target and the actor,

As I said, each bag Has its own custom package box. You can sell it for 20§ or decorate your house with it. It can also work as a pedestal for your bag. I have added a slot to it so you can put stuff on it:

The Fully Functional Bag:

Now, let's start with some more exciting stuff. The bag is fully functional🤩! You can wear it and rename it. It is also live draggable, so you can live-drag it whenever you want, and it comes with its own inventory.

First of all, how do you wear it? You can easily do that from your sim inventory! Just click on it and click on (Wear). You can wear it with any outfit you like!!

It will be shown in the queued interaction on the left side of the running interactions. You can remove it by canceling the interaction.

While you are wearing it, you can't access the bag; you have to remove it first, and then you can access it or live drag it.

By wearing the bag, your sim will get a confident Buff.

Also, wearing the bag will slow the decay of some of your sim needs. My idea behind that is that wearing a bag makes youre sim more organized and less likely to get tired.The modifiers aren't that crazy; I think with them, it's just more fun to remember to wear it before going on a walk or to the coffee shop.

I have also added some buffs to other sims around you. For example, they may be amazed by seeing your sim wearing a Designer brand, and your partner may feel flirty if they see your sim wearing their gift.

The bag is Live draggable; you can drag it anywhere you want and open it. Each bag will have its own separate inventory, which can store almost anything and help organize your sim's inventory better.

The bag will be fully functional. I am planning on some existing features for it, and I will post some sneak peeks soon, so keep an eye out for that.

There are twelve Bags for your sim to have. I mean, I can imagine that Wealthy Sims will have at least two or three bags, so I have added the (add-to favorites options); you can do that while the bag is on your Sims inventory, so you can keep track of youre favorite used bag while carrying multiple ones for your different Outfits. And you can also rename them!

Of course, you can also collect all of them just to fill and decorate your Sims' closet. So, I have kept the option of buying it from Build Buy. Most of the bag's features will work, minus some gift-related ones.

To access the bag inventory, You have to place or live-drag it first; you can't open it from the inventory.

Showering or sleeping will remove the bag automatically. (I am blacklisting the interaction where youre sim removes the bag by hand, so if I have missed something, let me know)

The sim who receives the Designer Bag Gift Will automatically be the owner Of that Bag,

Cyberpunk 2077 Abandoned Loot Suitcase Conversion (Functional)

👋🏿Hi chooms, sorry this has taken a while. Been super busy irl and making a new Patreon for my downloads.

I have a few Cyberpunk conversions coming up and more planned but for now here is a conversion of the loot suitcases you find in CP :) hope you enjoy storing all your sims unwanted rubbish in here and leaving it out in the street 😹

There are two versions. You can have both installed, they do different things, but the growing together one obv requires this pack: 🧳Base game compatible version: functions as a storage chest and can be put in your sim's inventory.

🧳Growing Together version: functions as a growing together suitcase wardrobe, which sims can carry, open, and place in inventory. If the suitcase doesn't belong to your sim and you have For Rent they can snoop. I also noticed basemental's "stash" function working as well.

🌈All colour swatches (23 colours) have a sticker decal and non decal version. I included the original Cyberpunk materials textures and then every colour of the rainbow + pastel and neutral colours. Can be found in misc storage and costs 100 simoleons.

✅Has specular and normal maps. 💢Minor issues: both versions are slightly different in size but it's super minor, you can resize with Tool if you want them the same. Another minor issue is some strange shadows on the GT version in the thumbnails of buy mode, I didn't know why this happened and just left it like that lol. for me that problem is now randomly gone after doing nothing so no idea what happened there

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 125 (Flowers, But Everyone's On Edge!)

Conrad landed at the San Myshuno Airport just before dark, where he signed for the bodies of George and June Brindleton. After sending them off in a truck to the morgue in Brindleton Bay, he drove around the city looking for a flower shop.

Really, he was hoping one flower shop in particular was open, and he smiled as he approached The Blooming Room with its lights on.

When the bell dinged to signal his entry, a woman turned around with a smile. "How can I help you?" Her face fell. "Lieutenant Gordon. Are you looking for some flowers?"

He nodded. "Something yellow. Buttercups, if you have them."

"We don't usually put buttercups in our floral arrangements. They're a skin irritant."

He frowned. "Forget the buttercups. Just...yellow."

Melissa Ramsay looked around nervously. "Is that it?"

"You changed your hair."

"Ximena's not the only one who likes to express herself with a bottle of hair dye, I guess. I went back to my natural colour because I'm done hiding."

"I found Rafa," he said. "He's in Sulani."

"Why are you telling me this, Lieutenant? I don't care."

"I don't believe that."

"Do you still care what happens to Ximena?"

"Of course I do. But I hope Ximena ends up behind bars for as long as possible, and I think you still care about Rafa."

She laughed. "I think you don't know me."

"So if I told you how to get in touch with him, you wouldn't even want to check in?"

"Lieutenant Gordon, please!" she begged. "If I check in with him, I'll never want to let him go."

"I don't know if there's anyone else in the world who could bring Ximena down faster than her brother, but he needs to be convinced. I told him I'd try to get him a lawyer and a judge who might offer him a good deal in exchange for turning her in, but he needs a real good reason to do it. I think he still cares about you, too."

She perked up somewhat. "How good a deal?"

"A few years, maybe. If he can help us pin Ximena for the murder of Jimmy Stefano, her price will go up and his sentence could come down. But the judge would need to see he'd be a productive member of society outside the system, and strong relationships with good people can go a long way."

"I don't want you, or anyone else, to get my hopes up, Lieutenant. Or Rafa's."

"I don't want that, either," he insisted. "But the only way we can do this is if we work together to change his mind."

For the first time, Melissa seemed hopeful, and as she sold him a bouquet of carnations and daffodils, Conrad thought he'd changed her mind. But as she wrapped cellophane around the stems, she frowned. "Fifteen simoleons, Lieutenant. Happy Love Day."

He sighed, pulling the notepad and a pen from his pocket to scribble down some information while he paid. "He's not using a phone, but if you call Leila Illes and Oliana Ngata at that number, they'll rent you a villa. Their son, Tane, will be able to show you where Rafa's hiding out. Bring good shoes."

By the time he made it back to Brindleton Bay, Love Day was already over. Heather was distracted, worried over Ash's conversation with Ben, but she accepted the flowers with a smile. "I'm glad you're okay. These are beautiful."

"I'll make it up to you for missing Love Day soon, but Sulani was...an adventure. The chief called an emergency meeting to discuss the Brindletons' murder investigation. We've got to try to plan for what might crack in this town now that he's gone. I need to change and turn around again...but I found Rafa."

Heather's eyes grew wide as she threw on a sweater and he changed clothes. "You found him? Did you bring him in, too? Is that the trouble you ran into?"

"He knocked me out before he realized it was me, but he stayed with me until I came to and apologized. I tried to convince him to come back and help us get a confession out of his sister, but he turned me down."

"So you just left him there? He's a wanted criminal. Does your boss know?"

"Rafa's almost like a little brother to me. He was so young, and Ximena worked all the time."

Heather frowned. "Conrad, you're lying for him."

"I need him to trust me, Heather. I think he's the only person who can bring Ximena down. I'm trying to help him for all our sakes."

"If anyone at the station finds out you're helping him, you could lose your job."

He nodded. "I know that. But I'd risk my job a thousand times for you and the kids, too. And your family."

Heather was annoyed, and she chose this moment to announce she'd booked her long talked-about vacation with Spencer. "Spence and I are going to Selvadorada the first week of spring. She's got a dig booked right after you and Ash finish the treehouse project in Henford, and we thought since Ash will be in the city with the Landgraabs until Easter's over, the timing was sort of perfect for once."

Conrad wavered. "Do you really think going to Selvadorada's the best idea right now? If they're upset we've got one of their own behind bars, I don't want you going to their jungle."

"You don't want me going?" She eyed him incredulously. "Since when are you in charge of me?"

"I don't mean it like that, Heather. It's just the cartel..."

"You said yourself you thought they'd dropped her."

"No, I hope they've dropped her. We haven't brought them in because we don't want them to think we're sniffing around at all."

"Conrad, I'm going. You have your camping trip with Ash and I need a vacation, too. Spencer's practically an expert in Selvadoradian culture and traditions and spends more time down there than you ever have," she argued. "We spent years promising each other Ximena wouldn't control our lives from wherever she was hiding, and she's not about to start now that we know exactly where she is!"

He backed off. Heather rarely got upset and he knew he'd touched a nerve. "You're right, I'm sorry. I'm just being paranoid, and I know you and Spencer can take care of yourselves down there. I've got to get to the station, but I love you."

She accepted a kiss on the cheek. "I love you, too. And wait:" She took a deep breath. "I know you just got back, there's a lot on your plate at work, and the treehouse project's just around the corner, but I'm on edge because Ash said he saw Ben and his dog after school yesterday. I don't think he believes they're ghosts, either."

Conrad flinched. "What do you mean, he saw them?" ->

NOTE: There's no snow in the flower shop exterior shot because Conrad was in Ciudad Enamorada. He had just randomized in Media Naranja Park to pick up a suspect (unrelated technically, they were innocent of the in-game case so it didn't help his career points and wasn't a story canon pick-up). I haven't explored Ciudad Enamorada enough but I saw the flower shop and thought it was adorable. Suddenly, he needed to get flowers for Heather. And since he needs Melissa's help and she doesn't live in Ciudad Enamorada, voila the flower shop is in San Myshuno (which gets less snow than Brindleton Bay, anyway, and it's almost spring!)

NOTE 2: If Melissa is unrecognizable, that's because I lost the original (the game deleted her before I could save her after she appeared among the potential suspects for a crime Conrad was solving for gameplay that I turned into storyline). I tried to recreate her but it was hard so I played up how she's changed her appearance a bit since last seen. If this was a TV soap, there'd be a random voiceover when she appeared on camera: "The role of Melissa Ramsay will now be played by so-and-so."

WCIF Flower Shop: Since the flower shop in Media Naranja is a rabbit hole, I found this room on the Sims 4 Gallery by plumlala3 called Betty's Flower Shop. I thought the interior was really cute, stuffed with flowers, and felt small enough to somewhat represent the inside of the small shop in the park!

My day starts with my paper delivery job. Oh, yes, I guess I never mentioned that I do have a new job? Just something to supplement my jewelry thing as a little extra income never hurts and the job is easy enough. Drop papers at doorsteps and move on, that's it!

When I do make it home I find a surprising little bowl of stew sitting right on my counter. This must be the work of Niklas, who else would randomly do me a kindness like this? My only question is, did he make it with magic or cook it by hand?

And hey, whether it was made with a dash of magic or pure culinary skill it was pretty good all the same! Seriously, what doesn't he do? Maybe he's just showing off at this point.

In the middle of my meal Niklas strolls out of my restroom, as if he lives here, mind you, and asks if I'm enjoying the food. Honestly, yes, I am. Okay, alright, it's about a 6 out of 10 but it gets 2 bonus points simply because I didn't make it.

"So did you sprinkle a bit of magic in it?" I can't help but ask, it's a harmless question, but I imagine if I could make my dishes better with magic, I would.

"No? I mean I guess I could but-"

"Could you make the perfect meal with a touch of magic?"

"I guess you could? Never tried it though," he admits and from the look on his i can tell he's never really thought about it. He really doesn't like using his magic, huh?

"You really don't like using your watcher given abilities, do you?" I can't help but shake my head as he's made that very clear. It's a little frustrating. Having so much power at the tips of your fingertips and denying it all.

"Honestly, Grace, the whole bit is overrated."

"You keep saying that and yet just last night you waved your hands around and poof, clean tub. Just that alone is amazing."

But he's not convinced, he's shaking his head as if I don't get it at all and takes a deep breath before continuing. "The Realm and all it deals with is not only overrated but dangerous. The regular person lives a nice and safe calm life while we? Well, we could be called upon to face horrors you could never imagine."

"Well..." I falter behind his gaze just a bit because who wouldn't when facing unimaginable horrors? "I umm, yeah, I guess it's that whole great power great responsibility thing then."

"It's exactly like that."

"Alright then...but still, I don't see anything wrong with a little sprinkle of magic to make a pasta just a pinch better."

"I could try, mess up, and accidentally poison your food and you'd be in the hospital right now instead of just eating an average bowl of soup."

Ok, I guess I get his point.

So the man wants the normal life. I can't blame him for that. It sounds like he wants to just move to Henford and live out the rest of his days there or something, I don't know. Again, I can't blame him for that but personally...I'd like to be able to do something magical. I guess it is true, you always want what you can't have, unlesssss you want to soak in milk I guess and relax. You can absolutely have that.

Magic or no magic I am handling my bills pretty well. Thankfully, this place isn't too pricey so I can manage. It always feels good to have things under control financially.

Especially when I can sell a piece of jewelry for 1k. It's not a fortune in the grand scheme of things but it's enough to cover rent and still have simoleons left over. A little breathing room helps!

With the rain pouring down outside I can only decide to settle at my computer for the evening and dive into video games. There really isn't much else to do in my little place especially with Niklas off doing whatever he does. So it should be a quiet and peaceful night. Just me, the rain, and my laptop.

At least that was the plan but it looks like I'll be having a late night visitor.

Standing at my doorstep in the middle of a storm is none other than Lilja, the vampire I met earlier in the spring. Our first meeting was strange and now I can't help but wonder what brings her here on this rainy night. It's hard to tell from her expression as it is completely neutral and her eyes, cold and seemingly lifeless, stare right through me.

"So, may I?"

"Come in, you mean?" I ask, stupidly. Of course she needs an invitation. She's a vampire. "Y-yes, I guess so."

"Thank you."

"So, you're not going to like abuse my invitation, are you?"

Lilja chuckles softly at my question, amused in that delicate way of hers. "No, if I wanted to take you then you would have been taken," she says with precision. Perhaps she's right. I have been a little casual with my night time activities but she has made it clear that she's not out to harm me.

"So, then," I take a steady breath and gather my courage. "What brings you here? Despite the fact that I don't remember giving you my address or anything." But I'm sure she's been stalking me. Vampires are natural born stalkers, I might not know much about them but I do know that.

"Did you know that there was a ward put up around your house?" she asks that question with a tilt to her head, as if she is testing me.

"What? Yeah, a magician friend put one up, I'm not sure why-"

"Friend huh?" She gives me a knowing look. Does she know about Niklas? "It was a very weak ward but it did tingle just a little bit, it seems your wards are...weakening."

"Yeah, he's..." I trail off but then stop myself. Why am I explaining this? "Are you stalking me?"

"Watching you, did you forget our deal?"

"I..." guess I have. "Can you remind me again?"

"The blood magic," she says, watching me, her eyes intent and focused upon my expressions. "Do you remember?" and so it comes back to me, the deal, the offer of her maker willing to teach me blood magic. It felt theoretical at the time but now it feels much more concrete.

"I-, yes, I do remember now. Is it difficult to learn?"

"No, just costly."

"Costly? May I ask why you're willing to do this? What is in it for you and your umm...maker?"

"Everything," the weight of that word brings silence and for a moment I'm not sure what else to say. "The Realm have hunted our kind to near extinction and only the help of a blood witch can save us now."

"Oh," so am I the chosen one? "You can't just find someone else?"

"It is in your blood, your mother-"

"Yes, yes, she was a blood witch, I know."

"I am inviting you back to the castle," she says, and I'm reminded me that she had warned me against coming back because her maker might attack me again and she sees that concern and memory in my eyes. "He rests still, he is still weak. He needs...blood."

"Umm, yeah, sure, since you are inviting me I guess, does Saturday work."

"Yes, sounds perfect."

I'm not sure what the time is but I am getting a little uncomfortable with her here. "Umm, now, it's getting kind of late for me so if you don't mind..."

Apologies for the long post ahead

(that's why I put under a cut lol)

Where do I begin? My name is Minthe Thalzoh and my mother is an Elf and my Father is an Alien!

Wait! Let me start over, sorta, from the beginning.

My father crash landed his ship in my Mother's backyard, one thing led to another and now they're the loves of each other's lives and married. They moved out to Willow Creek to start a family.

ENTER ME!

Wasn't I just the cutest little infant!?!

Anyway . . .

My parents knew even then that I was going to be a genius! Though this could have been because of my mixed species genetics. I hit almost every Milestone ahead of the expected timeline and understood and could do a lot more than a "normal" Infant.

Then I became a Toddler!

Not long after, my sister Kaeleen came around and I didn't get as much of my parent's attention, this upset me understandably but I did know that she was smaller and needed more help. I again met all my milestones and sped through all possible toddler skills before my next Lifestage.

As a child I reached the top of my class within a couple of days and worked through two Aspirations. Mom got pregnant again and gave me another sister, Kira, so I helped Kaeleen as best as I could with all her Milestones and Skills. Soon enough it was time for my next birthday.

Father's distress signal was finally answered (took them long enough!) and his world leaders were sending him - and by extension the rest of us - a rescue shuttle to pick us up and bring us back to Unvahiri. I didn't want to go, I was born on this planet and though traveling to another planet did sound like the adventure of a lifetime I made my case to stay. Father agreed as long as I could pass and graduate high school early and get into college before the shuttle got here. Of course I did it! Did you have any doubts? I got into Foxbury for a Distinguished Degree in Physics and I plan to Minor in Robotics. I even got a full ride! My parents set aside a bit of Simoleons for me once I graduate so I can buy a house and start living the Simlander Dream.

I'm sad to have missed meeting my newest sister, Laryse, in person. She was born on the way to Unvahiri, but I get video transmissions from them from time to time. They hope to make it back for when I graduate but I told them not to worry about it and I would try to set up some sort of recording for them. But that was still a long way away, I still have to pass all my classes first. It's a bit lonely right now but at least I was able to sneak my pet, Voxel, into the Dorm. I think the College Board knows he's here but hasn't said anything - yet.

Watcher's notes: I plan for this to be 99.9% all gameplay based but will try to add in a bit of story here and there for fun but I started this save as a de-compressor for Elucea's story which even though I plan different things and randomly write bits for it (not all will I use obvi) it does get rather tiring some days when I do get into that save file (which probably led to my being more in a building/CAS mood for a bit). I want to actually get through a TRUE challenge for once and I've tried the Not So Berry a couple times and abandoned it but through sharing my Glynnans I have made it to Gen 6 so far and don't plan on stopping so maybe by sharing my NSB gameplay I can complete this challenge for once.

i wanted to create a legacy challenge that focusses on the parent-child relationship and how that impacts their adult life. (i know growing together would be the perfect pack for this challenge, but i can't afford it rip)

Ophelia has a very important business meeting today, with none other than Thorne Bailey! Her agent didn't give her too many details, but they gave Thorne Ophelia's number, so they arranged to meet at the Orchid A Go Go lounge in Del Sol Valley to talk business.

As Ophelia turns the corner on the sidewalk outside the lounge, she almost bumps right into Thorne.

Thorne: Fashionably late, I like it.

Ophelia: Sorry, my toddler didn't want me to leave so she clung to my leg.

Thorne: Ha, my little guy Kale's clingy, I get the struggle.

Thorne: As much as I love the paparazzi, let's head inside. We don't need an audience while we talk.

There's a celebrity-exclusive room upstairs, so Thorne leads the way.

Well, he would, if he didn't insist on doing that slow-ass celebrity walk.

The guard at the door to the celebrity-exclusive area drops the stern look when she sees Ophelia and Thorne.

Kaori: Mr. Bailey, Mrs. Lemon. Come on in.

Thorne: Thanks a million, K.

Thorne and Ophelia settle down on the couch, and after some small talk, Ophelia's curiosity gets the best of her.

Ophelia: So tell me, why did you ask my agent specifically for me?

Thorne: Orange told me your band broke up, I thought you might be interested in a new project.

Thorne: Haven't heard much about you in the gossip rags lately. You doing alright?

Ophelia: Yeah, I've had a lot on my plate. Xander and I just had a baby, and we were getting our adopted son settled so I put music on the back burner.

Thorne: Understandable. Family comes first.

Thorne: But you are hoping to get back out there?

Ophelia: Oh, absolutely. What did you have in mind?

Thorne: Well, I've mostly recovered from my song-writing scandal, but my reputation could use a healthy dose of PR. Winterfest is coming up, great time to give back.

Thorne: Octavia wrote a new Winterfest song, but it's a duet. My wife is a star, but she's better with her pen than her voice, and she isn't that keen on singing with me. We tried to think of who would do the female vocals the most justice, and your name kept coming up.

Thorne: Now, all the proceeds would go to charity, so this isn't the most lucrative opportunity, but it's a good chance to get your name back out there. I know Winterfest is in a few days, so we'd need to get recording soon. Is this something you'd be interested in?

Thorne Bailey is the biggest musician out there! Most Sims can only DREAM of interacting with him, let alone working with him!

Ophelia: That's an amazing idea! I'd be honored to work with you, Thorne.

Thorne: That's what I like to hear.

They hash out the details of where she'll go to record her vocals, but this collaboration calls for a toast!

Thorne: May our star power combined get fans to stream this song all Winterfest long and help poor Sims afford packs so they don't have to use base-game clothes!

Ophelia can toast to that!

Ophelia: Uh, what charity exactly is the streaming profits going to?

Thorne: I was just gonna give some checks to townies wearing ugly outfits.

Thorne: Hey, just because we're doing this for charity doesn't mean you're a charity case, love. You've got talent, I know Tavi's song is in good hands with both of us.

The two stay a little longer than planned, ironing out some details, but also just start talking about their music careers. It's nice to talk to someone about stuff like this. Drew and Moses love music too, but fame never really appealed to either of them. Thorne just gets it.

Luckily, Thorne uses his connections to get them a session in the recording studio the next morning. He's got a special guest with him.

Thorne: There you are! Octavia, darling, you haven't met Ophelia yet, right?

Octavia: No, it's a pleasure. Our Orange is a big fan.

Thorne: I hope you don't mind, Tavi just wanted to hear how the song sounded with your vocals.

Ophelia: Not at all! She wrote the lyrics, least I can do is give her a sneak peek.

It's a little intimidating singing in front of a huge rockstar and a best selling author/songwriter, but Ophelia's level 10 singing skill can't be shaken!

They're looking so intensely at her, but they seem impressed. Thank goodness, she didn't have much time to rehearse.

Octavia Moon is apparently as hands on with her actual hands as she is with her work. After Ophelia's done, she pulls her in for a big hug.

Octavia: That was astounding! You knocked it out of the park!

Ophelia wasn't expecting the hug, but she quickly returns it.

Octavia: No wonder Orange loves you so much. He cried for days when The Main Squeeze broke up.

Ophelia: Aww.

Octavia: Ooh, don't tell him I told you that.

Octavia: Now, your husband owns that bar your band would perform at in Tartosa, right?

Ophelia: How'd you know that?

Octavia: I'm a writer, I do my research. Any chance he'd want to host an event promoting the song?

Free publicity? Hell yeah! They can hash it out later.

Thorne's vocals and the instrumentals are all recorded, they just need the female vocalist's portion before the song can be fully produced. Thorne and Octavia oversee Ophelia from the other side of the recording booth.

While Ophelia does her thing, Octavia can't get over how well everything has come together.

Octavia: Thank you for making this song a reality, baby. I might sing like a goat but you better be thinking of me when you sing it!

Thorne: Always. You're my number one, turtle dove.

Octavia: I dunno, she's pretty. If you don't go after her, I might!

Thorne laughs. The fact that she's still with him after he took credit for her lyrics shows how amazing she is. Even though she won't be the one singing the song, he'll assure the world knows they're her words.

how did you come up with such a lovely and unique character like corn? Seriously I love seeing your gameplay and reading all the small details about him. It's so much fun? I'd like to feel this way about the sims again..it's all about making a "pretty sim" then I decorate a home and just take some screenshots. Maybe I get bored of my saves because my sims aren't "special". I hope this isn't too confusing😅

ok ramble below the cut but also i'm working on a little gameplay document that i've been doing for a while. I dont know if ill keep it as a document or turn it into a video but heres my thoughts about how i'm having fun with corn.

corn is a gameplay, with story stuff i add in to add depth and meaning behind how the game plays out

I was bored of the same gameplay I always did. I enjoy generational stuff but found that I would eventually get bored and want to rush onto the next gen. SO i thought ok Ill play with aging off. Then i thought whats the point ill just miss generational gp then i thought ok what if i do every single aspiration. then it was just what kinda freak would do all that? and the only sensible conclusion was an immortal and indecisive vampire and thus he was born. everything else just fell into place. i think the main part about having fun is working with limitations, rather than breaking them. start ur house on 0 simoleons, make the game harder with mods, actually do the whims ur sim asks u for and actually do the aspirations. don't force friendships ur sim has bad compatibility with just because theyre pretty, let them decide it all, and with mods this is especially important and enjoyable. corn gp is a gameplay with story bits mixed in, which is just my way of rationalising the gameplay. corn is lonely and has no friends: ok ill add in his mother, to avoid his social need being constantly in the red. embrace randomness and spontaneity and above all else, consider your sim's personality in every decision. I don't think “I wish corn was friends with this sim” I instead allow corn to do what he wants, and think: “would corn get a long with this sim”.

all this is to say: you are but an omniprescent floating head as a mere spectator of ur sims lives, stop trying to direct it in ways that you want, because itll be the same path everytime and ultimately, unfun. make the game difficult and challenging (whether its through mods or a challenge) to allow natural ups and downs and spectate them. dont spend time planning or overthinking their home or their appearance or the townies around them. once you start having fun and invest urself in their silly lives as if watching a tv show, everything else falls into place, like corn with his relationship with his mum, or the repurcussions of causing havoc in granite falls campsite.

How to Drive Oneself Nuts Writing a Sims 3 Legacy

Writing a storyline before you actually sit down to play the game to capture screencaps can be mindnumbingly difficult. In part because of the brain thinking up of scenarios that cannot be duplicated in the Sims 3.

For example:

Anticipation to see Victoria’s sights got the pair up early in the morning. Breakfast was a continental breakfast downstairs in the hotel restaurant. Then it was off to see the Bay Centre with a little more relaxing pace than the hurried pace they had sustained yesterday night.

River’s glance towards him was coy and flirtatious; “I wanna go see La Senza…” she said in a low voice.

“OK…” Haruo said. He knew there were other shops that he wanted to frequent too, but he would head for La Senza with River because it was what she wanted and well…there were benefits for him too…although those would be reaped in private.

River spent at least half an hour to an hour in La Senza browsing through the various intimate apparel that was available. This was a side of her that Haruo was not acquainted with; the passionate River, the tantalizing glimpses of her as they made love in the bedroom or hotel rooms were a delight to his own libido, but the one that was just out of his reach right now was the one that wanted to start a family with him. But he had a plan. That he was about to execute.

When River had finished up and Haruo had provided his credit card to pay for said items, he suggested that they go to Ann-Louise jewelers. River raised an eyebrow in question. Haruo just grinned enigmatically. They both walked hand in hand into the jewelry store.

By this time, I know I have to have a jewelry store in the story and an attendant as well as some display cases. The question is though can I find jewelry, rings and other things that are sold at a jewelry store so that I can create this so that I can screencap a few shots in here to go along with the storyline. This is one of the reasons why this story is stalled at the moment. I just don't have the patience to deal with this at this time.

Because later on in the story just a few paragraphs down:

Not everyone could drop §98,500 simoleons on an engagement ring, but Haruo could… and River was worth it. She was going to get surprised. Because there was also something else Haruo had planned this afternoon. It was attending the Fairmont Empress’s afternoon tea. The Fairmont Empress like the Grand Pacific, that Haruo and River were staying at, overlooked the Harbour and it was a quick walk over to the Fairmont from their hotel.

But currently, they were at the Bay Centre and they wanted something to eat. “Hey, can you go find us both something to eat?” Haruo asked River. “I gotta make a run to the washroom, I think I remember seeing one…just before La Senza.”

“Don’t they have one in the food-court?” River thought Haruo was acting kind of strange.

“Yeah…but the food-court one always ends up busy as heck and I don’t want to wait for a stall to open up.” OK…that sounded logical.

“You OK with A&W?”

“Yeah, I’m fine with A&W…” Haruo said. River gave him a kiss and he wandered off to go find a washroom…or more accurately nail down that ring and the other one in the display case.

It was about twenty minutes later that he came back. River eyed him with a disbelieving stare “Twenty minutes?”

“Yeah…somehow that one got just as full.” Haruo prevaricated looking as innocent as ever, “…had to wait for three guys…only three stalls in that bathroom and evidently everyone just had to come in right at that time, y’know.” He was lucky. She had bought him an A&W Mozza Combo and herself a Mama Burger combo; she got onion rings, she got him a large fries with the bank card he’d passed to her from his operating account which had roughly about §558.00 in it at the time. The two rings were tucked deep within his pockets, the keys to his Mercedes resting on top of them. He plunked himself down in the chair and grinned at her. River shook her head at him indulgently. Whew…she didn’t guess. Haruo thought as he sat down to munch on his Mozza burger.

I have to build an entire FOOD COURT from scratch? Why the hell does my brain do this?!

Oh…and did anyone miss the It was attending the Fairmont Empress’s afternoon tea.

In just ONE paragraph my brain has decided that it is going to make me build TWO F***ING VENUES!!!

Again, I ask myself. WHY does my brain decide that it's going to do this to me?

Adeline's a great Mom. But definitely a career woman.

So Adeline, I love her and she's awesome.

She's from a great family and has had a nice life. As a toddler she was a bit spoiled and gave her parents a hard time, unlike her siblings. Of course her parents, Elizabeth (another favourite Sim. I should make a post about her life too) and Jun loved her.

I honestly don't remember much from her childhood so I guess she calmed down. Just enjoying the good days of childhood.

She is very close with her twin brother Noah <33 She also loves their little brother William

Like all my Sims children recently, especially since getting Parenthood, she was raised to be responsible. Her attentive and loving parents definitely impacted her life for the better.

As a teen she continued to just enjoy life. Did well in school and spent lot's of time with family. During this life stage I discovered she loves people! She loves socializing and is definitely an extrovert. Also discovered she's not into guys. I kinda miss when all sims were pan, but I think it's still okay.

Normal day with family at home

She met Rin Hayashi, her future wife, during a family vacation in Mt Komorebi. Rin was upset about something and she consoled her.

Adeline does have the good trait, and I think she is a good person, but her heart isn't overflowing with empathy the way her mother's did. Except for with her loved ones

Adeline and Rin's first kiss was at a nearby pub in Windenburg. Also I just realized they both only ever dated one person, each other! You know, I also want this irl haha. But life isn't a fantasy ._. I can dream

Her relationship with her Dad was once strained, especially as she was such a challenging toddler and because of Jun's personality (a whole other post, my goodness). But things got much better. He was also super supportive and loving.

Man I love these two. They've been together for a while. And they are still super in love.

So, Adeline loves people. She's from a nice, supportive family, has had a great life, and is extremely fortunate. So what's the career for her? Politician!

She is also a good person. She ended up pursuing the charity branch and would reach the top of the career in adulthood. She loves it! She's also a workaholic. She's spent her career championing a cause for The Foundation Against Mischief. She was successful too, recruiting dozens of Sims and raising thousands of simoleons. It has brought her so much fulfillment and I am proud of her hard work and impact. I just love her!!

Elizabeth got along great with her future daughter in law. Elizabeth was a beautiful person in general. She was compassionate, empathetic, kind, good, loyal and an all round incredible soul. I miss her terribly. This post is not about her lol. But I am so glad to have so many screenshots and to be documenting this 🥲

Adeline used to struggle with burnout. So the truth is i disabled this feature with a mod, by TwistedMexi. But for story telling let's say she got over it.

In young adulthood she dressed like someone in their twenties of course. I love how this Alias Eyeshadow by ADIEC looked on her. It's gorgeous but won't suit every eye shape. This whole look was amazing on her.

Adeline and Rin's wedding was the most beautiful Sims wedding I've ever had—I didn't even have My Wedding Stories—and also the best one. I invited their whole families, put them in this stunning Romantic Garden Park by lilsimsie, donned them in gorgeous gowns and, flower crowns!

I love flowers and am dreaming about summer, garden planning, and soon seed starting. Sometimes I think they are so beautiful and magical, I can't believe they're real!!! 🩷💐✨

This is not a wedding post omg. But it was too beautiful. Everyone had a great time too

Adeline continued to work hard in her political career

Adeline and Rin's first child and the generation seven heir August was born sometime after, using the science baby feature. I really appreciate this feature in game too, to tell these stories.

1302 - Day 4

Their first breakfast together is a little humbling... Emma feels embarrased to only serve her husband gruel.

"I'm sorry, there's not much food in the pantry. We need to wait for our harvest, we planted everything we've got."

"I know, don't worry. we can survive a few weeks on this. I also need to come up with a plan to make some money. There's not enough left for my crafting stations, I'm thinking of just selling firewood for now."

"Let me help out, I managed to make some flour again yesterday, I can sell it if we manage to build a market stall. Perhaps I will visit the village market next week."

"We also need to have some for the Earl, our first payment is due in a few days.... Let me finish up here and I will carry the firewood out for the neighbours."

The wood sells good and after a few days they manage to buy Finnian a new grindstone.

He starts working right away and the first thing he makes is a stall for Emma to sell her wares. Every simoleon counts for them this first year.

To help out with the pantry Finnian decides to take up fishing. He manages to catch a few and even finds some eggs for their own pond on the farm!

He also plants the few seed Emma finds while foraging again.

Their daily grind is pleasantly interrupted when they get a visitor - Tara drops by the farm to bring good news.

Finnian comes home from a fishing trip right as she gives Emma some tips for cooking and preserving.

Emma is grateful for the advice.

"Thank you, I will consider preserving our fruits, perhaps they will sell good, too."

"You're welcome. I came by for another reason, though... I received a letter from Jayden yesterday, he's coming home soon! Which means that you will both be invited to my wedding in a few weeks."

Finnian sighs. "Finally! You've been waiting to hear from him for so long. I'm happy for you, hopefully his return journey will be a safe one."

"I hope so to. So see you then?"

"Of course."

With the talk of marriage on his mind Finnian decides to rummage through his storage chest... He wanted to hang up their wedding certificate for some time now.

It's Monday which is kind of the start of the week? It usually feels like it at least and I'm not exactly sure what might happen this Monday but I'll be starting it in the shower. Washing off the last of yesterday, you could say, because one must smell good in show business. Just imagine me showing up for my audition with a stench? 'Sorry, you're acting was impeccable but but you stink, no literally, you stink!'

By the by, I'm not much of a chef and so you'll see me munching on whatever I can get my hands on and this morning its a very plain sandwich. I hope it'll be good enough for breakfast because it is the best I can do right now.

OH! Some news that you might not expect but I've decided to join a book club! I'm not sure exactly why buuuuuut, I did? Look, I saw an opportunity and I took it and besides, acting includes a lot of reading. Imagine being an A-lister and having countless scripts sent your way? Exactly. So I plan on being an avid reader!

ANY WAYS! Off to my first audition! Wish me luck!

After a successful audition (I won the part!) I head out to the park to clear my mind and just enjoy the day. A good day. A happy day because my career is beginning. Sure, it's just a commercial but one, it adds to my currently blanke resume and two, I make simoleons. So, we all have to start somewhere and I look forward to shooting it.

ANYWAYS! So I'm at the park and feeling the vibes until the sound of a clearly practicing and amateur musician hits my ears. I'm not going to lie, most of it was horrible, but for whatever reason it catches my attention and interest.

I'm not new here. Like I've said, I'm DSV for life, born and raised, so I'm used to seeing people out in the street begging for the right pair of eyes or ears to give them their big chance so this is nothing new, but the man certainly has a unique sound to him...

It's his voice. That's what it was. It has a tenderness to it that grabs you, that makes you wonder about his story, but then you hear his fingers carelessly pluck at a guitar and it ruins whatever comes from his throat.

I stare at him for a moment and wonder what his game is. Does he realize that he can't play the guitar or is this some new genre I know nothing about? I'll be honest, if it's not a musical I don't vibe with it so it is entirely possible that maybe he this is what you kids listen to nowadays? Anyways, the man seems satisfied with himself.

He finishes and puts his guitar down, satisfied with himself for whatever reason and looking at me as if he expects some applause. "Ummm, congrats!" is all I can offer for lack of not knowing what else to say. I don't want to put him down because he's so very proud of his performance. Actually, he should be, at least half of it? don't know what else to say, he seems so proud of himself.

"Ah, thank you, thank you!" Yep, definitely proud of himself.

"Your voice is very unique, in a good way!" Always focus on the positive, right?!

"Thanks! I'm new to the guitar but it's like they say, practice makes perfect, right?"

"Umm, is it a good idea to practice in the public?" I ask the obvious question because why practice in front of others? It would be like me performing my script out here in front of others.

"I figure if people see my rawness and see the growth over time that they might connect with me more, y'know?"

"Oh, yeah..." hmm, that is an interesting outlook on it, I guess he's thinking long term? "So, whats your vibe, what's your style? What kind of music are you trying to create?"

"All I have is my voice and my word, so I kind of mix things up, you know? A little melodic singing over music is what I tend to do. I don't have a genre, I want to transcend genres."

"Hmm, yeah," Yep, definitely a musician. I know us artists get flack for being odd but that's not on us, not on us thespians I should clarify. It's mainly the painters and musicians that are out there. Maybe you can include writers, if you can find them, they like to hide under rocks after all. "I think you definitely have the talent, at least with your voice, so yeah I can see that!"

"Yep, now it's just about finding someone with simoleons to believe in me I guess."

"Well, you might not get it playing like that in this park!" I joke, but he does laugh with me and seems to understand my point.

"I'm persistent, I'll be here everyday until someone gets tired of it."

"I get it! I'm the same way, I guess we are both here chasing dreams," and this is the city of dreams, isn't it? A city of stars is probably more apt.

"Oh, you too huh!? Derrick, by the way," and he gives me that smile, maybe you know the one? The one that tells me he'd like to see me again but in a different setting. Right now, I'm not exactly opposed to that.

"Teresa! Maybe one day our names will be on the front page of a magazine!"

Derrick was well met especially because his story feels similar to mines. He's out there grinding with the hopes that someone, anyone, will give him a shot. That's how this whole thing works, doesn't it? You do all you can for that one shot, that one moment that will launch you into stardom and once you are there? Once you are there it's hard to get you down. For him, it's one song that can transform his career and for me it's one performance.

So I find myself back home in front of my mirror and the script firmly in hand. It's a commercial so my lines are few, two sentences, but I'll put my entire soul into those two lines.

But commercials are not my end goal of course as they are just a stepping stone to bigger and better things. I don't have any connections but I do have a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend that thinks she can get me into an upcoming sitcom that is specifically looking for someone that looks just like me but this is an opportunity for another day so let's not think too much on it right now.

Alright, I think I've done enough for the day. I cook some friend plantains, which I do alright with, and get ready for bed. I'll need a full day of rest for my performance tomorrow. Do they give awards for commercials, by the way?
