Sometimes ADHD likes to throw you a curveball, and in my latest "I do not control the hyperfixation" development: I was suddenly possessed, at FOUR IN THE MORNING, to buy myself a tamagotchi out of literally nowhere, and now all I want to do is play with it and look at tamagotchi content.

I can't exist in the fandom if I don't make myself a character there, so I made her in Uncle Samsonite lore-

Tbh for some reason I'm afraid to talk so openly about my characters (and mostly no one reads about them except my friends-), but I have accumulated the content with her that I want to show, so I'll try to briefly talk about her xd Without details: She has existed for as long as Sir Bowen and Samsonite, accidentally got in the way of demon dirty tricks to destroy human souls and decided that at all costs she would try to stop him. She was trapped twice: The first time she was locked in Uncle Samsonite's domain, but was able to escape from there. When she escaped, she had no other way but into the first available technique, and found herself locked up for the second time, but already in the digital world. When Samsonite became impudent and took Jake's body, and the demon that Father John asked for help refused, Mr. Dad accidentally discovered a working game console in Jake's room, in which he found a pink angel in the form of a tamagotchi. With the help of Father John, they were able to free her, and thanks to them she began to accumulate her strength so that together with Sir Bowen they could strike back at Samsonite. Fun fact number one: It was a character for joke because stupid sound in the tik tok Fun fact number two: I thought she didn't have a name, "Pinkie" is her name because that's what Samsonite called her for the first time because her hair

Stained Glass Winter Tamagotchi Original Spotted at Target

Remember that cute Stained Glass Winter Tamagotchi Original shell that was revealed at the 2024 New York Comic-Con “Fun With Tamagotchi” panel? It’s starting to hit shelves! Remember this one is in-store only. Bobakitea on Reddit spotted it at their local Target, and only one was in stock!

Technically this shell is not officially released until December 1st, 2024. Bobakitea also calls out that their Target had the Pretty Party, Tama Picnic and Tamagotchi Original Angel Series Lovely Angel shells out too! It’s also cute to see the certificate that comes with the Stained Glass Winter Tamagotchi Original, which is double sided on cardstock. Be sure to head over to your local Target and check!

i would like to know more about hn talon's feathery ailment ... is it their demonic nature clashing with the angelic blood that is resulting in their worsening condition ? is there a reason why it is specifically feathers / bird-likeness as opposed to anything else ( i.e. would other demons undergo similar transformations if they also got contaminated with angel blood ) ? can you share more about how you envision the progression and prognosis ? will it kill them or will there be some sort of final stage of their transformation ( whether that's a bad thing because it only gets worse and worse , or a good thing because maybe now that it is complete , they won't be in as much pain and discomfort 🥺 ) ? is it at all affected by whatever they're doing / thinking / feeling / experiencing ( tamagotchi talon ... ) ? what do they do to manage their condition ? does it make them self-conscious or feel badly about their physical appearance ?

I don't recommend that anyone ingests angel blood (good thing that's a difficult thing to do these days) but I wouldn't want to definitively say how it works for anyone else either. and I think it makes sense if talon isn't too sure either, with not meeting anyone else in a similar predicament as they (yet... will get to this later) but say if it were another angel Talon had attacked and drank the blood of, I believe they would still be having similar symptoms, as angels are quite feathery beings (varus with his arm of feathers, irelia with her wings and other choicely placed feathers.) But the particular angel they stole from has had a specific impact on just how the blood has changed them.

The reason for their worsening condition is because the blood has a powerful influence, like an undiluted acid. And it is so dramatic of an change because this influence is the polar opposite to their demonic existence. The more that Talon fights against the changes, the less symbiotic the blood and their demonic nature melds, the more violent and painful the experience is for them. And without any interference either with understanding or other experiences, I see it as a bitter, drawn-out struggle. Just wallowing in fatalism until Talon is nothing more than an unrecognisable pile of bile, blood, and feathers that tore itself apart...

Fortunately for them, the more Talon interacts with their rotting world and the people (and creatures) also struggling in it, the more they will come to terms with their own potential, and reflect on how they can be something more than what they once were. Learning that they don't have to let their worst action define their existence. More than just accepting what they did, and putting in the effort to understand emotions and how to be an active part of life, will mean they are not stubbornly fighting against their affliction. This will increase the speed of it's progression, but also be far less painful of an experience since they won't be actively fighting against it. When Talon is unable to call upon any of their demonic abilities anymore, the physical changes of the affliction will be complete, but they will continue to learn and better themself in an attempt to make up for all the wrong and pain they have caused in their existence. I can picture this happening in two or three decades time, in which there is no longer any hellfire, brimstone or summoned weapons. Talon is no longer a demon, but maybe by then they'll also know if the powers that be would accept a malformed, inexperienced, makeshift samaritan as a stand-in. But that's a hopeful thought, thinking they'll live that long.

Going back to the symptoms of the affliction. Previously, Talon's form was one of shadow and brimstone, and they were able to phase in and out of being corporeal at will. Over time, this ability has been weakened - only able to vanish as a shadow for a moment at a time. Brimstone skin was made brittle until it fell away to soft flesh, hollow bone, and hair. Feathers have begun sprouting through this softer skin too, mostly across their left shoulder, arm and chest, but are beginning to sprout along their throat too. Talon used to pull them out by hand, but has forfeited the fight. Back to the left arm, a sort of carapace has begun to form over their left hand, along the thumb's metacarpal and back of the hand in layers of grey ash and weathered gold. This and the growth of the feathers is very similar to Varus' - the angel in which Talon killed and drunk the blood of - own feathers and angelic arm. But without any of the matching powers, it is a far less grand sight.

Although still considerably hot to the touch, Talon's core temperature has drastically lowered compared to the past. Whatever organs of malice and bile a demon has have made way for a growth in their chest, helping pump the foul angelic blood and pesky emotions around their body routinely, and push out more of their demonic essence every day, little by little. With this, it has already made their demonic powers incredibly weakened. Previously Talon also used to be able to disintegrate bodies with a slice of their hellish blades, but they just do not run hot enough anymore. The final physical symptom are their eyes. Once filled with hellfire, it is far more likely nowadays to see their extinguished, golden-brown irises instead. It is slightly controllable with their emotional state, or when using their powers though.

In other ways, the blood has made Talon far more empathetic, given them a conscience. Troubled with how their actions will effect others now, the suffering and cruelty of the world has become a pain all it's own. Dulling the delight in spreading fear and even disturbing the once simple exchange of souls, Talon is often contemplating their next course of action instead of only giving thought to their best interests. And how their previous, often violent actions, have caused so much.

The agony and illness of coughing up feathers and demonic bile leaves talon haggard and frail. Getting sleep and relaxation would help the most, but with their paranoia it is difficult for them to find places to fully lower their guard and properly rest. Talon's tried to get a room in the crossroad saloon before, but it's... never really worked out (Gragas doesn't let them). Hating and damning the ailment only makes it worse, since it's basically like trying to separate themself from something that has already been mixed in. Feathers get stuck in their many teeth, skin itches from keratin growing in. Fatigue and sensitivity to their own heartbeat. Talon tries their best to hide the majority of their symptoms. Their coughs and exhaustion are the most obvious.

For how the changed made by the affliction is making talon feel... I'm going to paraphrase from a previous message;

I say its dysmorphic but the more I think about it, it's also… having your health decline and your body changing along with it, at least with talons perspective right now since they're losing their demonic powers. dysphoric in the way that they're still holding on to the thought that this isn't what they're supposed to be, they're Supposed to be a being of shadow and hellfire not flesh and bone, let alone feathers and sympathy. so I want it to be much more about accepting that this is their body now moreso than finding a way to reverse the changes. That it's okay to change with age and wisdom as you open yourself up more to the world.

At this time, Talon misses being completely monstrous, of being frightening and having that implicit respect. They feel weaker than they really are because they continue to compare themself to the long-gone height of their power, and because their new physical changes make them feel vulnerable. Being constantly exhausted also doesn't help with any of this. Beyond this though, the only other thing they don't like about these changes is just that; it's different. The uncanny features still don't feel like that that's who they are, and there is this disconnect when others react to them, or comment on their looks.

poses I don't know, maybe Talon just needs some sort of big motivation to no longer see this affliction as a curse, but as an opportunity to be more than a demon that skulks in the shadows. And some encouragement that yes, that is in fact a good thing. Maybe like an ultimatum of some sorts.

Kaidou Shun:

↪ Even if it clashes horribly with his dark persona, Shun would do anything you ask him to. And that includes taking care of Mimitchi while you're away.

↪ He starts calling it the Egg of Discord when the others laugh at him for carrying a "girly" toy around. He also says that it holds immense powers and serves as a talisman to keep Dark Reunion away.

↪ He probably needs to ask his mother for help with the controls but would rather die than straight up go to her, so he figures them out by himself.

↪ Kaido takes a liking to your Tamagotchi and secretly babies it like he would an actual human baby. He talks to it in an "UwU" voice and sleeps with it beside his pillow.

↪ When you come back, he proudly gives you the Egg of Discord back with a smirk before asking very shyly for a hug because he missed you a whole lot.

Kuboyasu Aren:

↪ Since he wants to make friends and pass as a regular teenager, Aren gladly accepts to look after your virtual pet (it might also be because he has a big fat crush on you, who knows).

↪ He carries it everywhere to hear it ring and make sure it does not die on him. He wouldn't want to upset you after all!

↪ If anyone makes fun of him for carrying a toy around, he will scar them for life, either mentally or physically. No one will say anything negative about your precious little angel under his watch.

↪ He is not a fan of the constant ringing, but he couldn't even bring himself to throw it against the nearest wall when Kuchipatchi suddenly shit itself in the middle of the night. How sweet <3

↪ He will hand it back to you alive and well for sure! He was careful with it and defended its honor until the very last second.

Teruhashi Kokomi:

↪ Little Miss Kokomi gladly agrees to watch over your little one. It is not like she likes you or anything! It really is just because she has an image to keep up! D-Don't get the wrong idea!

↪ She probably sees it as you wanting to bless your silly toy with her god-like presence because of her bloated ego. She thinks very highly of herself for giving you a hand.

↪ She knows how to care for a Tamagotchi, mainly because she had her mother's as a child. It brings back some nostalgia.

↪ She gives it back to you in good shape, with a smile that would make any boy fall in love. When you take it from her and your hands touch, she explodes into a blush and runs away in shame.

Nendou Riki:

↪ Riki has no idea how to care for a Tamagotchi, but he will still accept because it means a lot to his best pal (and crush, but he's too dumb to realize that he likes you).

↪ Futabatchi is going to see some twisted shit.

↪ Riki asks his mother for help because he has no idea how this thing works. She used to have one as a teen, so she thankfully knows how to keep the virtual pet alive.

↪ Realistically, so many things could go wrong: forgetting about it and how to control it, crushing it by sitting on it, losing it somewhere, letting it die miserably...

↪ If he somehow manages to hand it to you alive, it is probably drowning in shit and sick. Riki will ask you to eat ramen with him as a reward for taking good care of it.

I wonder if the virtual pet fad of the late 90's would have lasted just a little bit longer if Bandai, I dunno... maybe tried a little harder to keep it interesting?

I did some thinking about it and it just feels like Bandai was determined to shoot itself in the foot when it comes to virtual pets ( Something that seems to still be true today )

Despite Tamagotchi gen 1 and 2 being fairly gender neutral, from the Angel onward Tamagotchi's marketing leaned HARD on the notion that it was a "Girls Toy"

Tamagotchi Ocean feels like it was on store shelves for exactly one week and had absolutely zero marketing. You'd be forgiven for thinking you just imagined it.

They completely gave up on Tamagotchi after the Ocean until 2004's Tamagotchi Connection relaunch

They refused to greenlight the Tamagotchi cartoon

Digimon were actually really hard to find on store shelves and even harder to find anything that wasn't a version 1, you'd be forgiven for thinking we never got more than version 1 in the west

Why the fuck was the "Digivice" in the anime not based on the original v-pet?? They wanted it to sell a completely different toy?? Why?? Market what you have already!! Not only that but the anime changed the rules about digimon from how we know them in the virtual pets ( it was a dope anime but this was a double edge sword )

They made Digimon World play like a virtual pet, but couldn't think of a way to integrate actual v-pets into the game like how pokemon stadium did with the N64 transfer pak. Hell even Sonic figured that out with the Chao and the Sega VMU ( too bad the Dreamcast crashed and burned )

Kids moved on from v-pets when the robo dog and furby became the hot new toy, Bandai didn't even try to compete

When all of these factors lead to the decline of virtual pets popularity, bandai just kind of threw up their hands and quit, didn't touch Tamagotchi until Tamagotchi Connection, but continued to market it as a "Girls Toy", maintaining the stigma ( don't shoot the messanger btw, I hated the stigma but I also had a dad who "threatened" to get me girls toys for christmas to emasculate me which caused me to distance myself from Tamagotchi ), the only Digimon things we got was anime, and anime tie-in toys.

Like if you look at the history of how Bandai handled virtual pets despite them being essentially pokemon before pokemon, it's pretty easy to see why they dropped the ball so fucking hard these days. They're getting better but there's still room for improvement, ESPECIALLY when it comes to Digimon. Tamagotchi is mainly where they're improving but Digimon has no support in english speaking territories unless it's anime nostalgia, while Tamagotchi is at least trying to do better.

Got a cute Tamagotchi Angel shell from the Bandai Namco Arcade Gashapon Store at the Trafford Centre, Manchester, UK!

I went specifically for the miniature charms, (in particular, the Angel and Devil), but unfortunately, they only have the cases/shells and Ring Colle. I was afraid they wouldn't have the miniature charms,... They had them last time, but alas,... they're gone.

I wasn't going to bother getting anything, as I'd saved some pocket money especially for the charms,... but as I was leaving, something urged me (the gashapon Gods!) to get one of the shells. And I was so happy to get the Angel that I cheered and danced with glee, and some people looked at me and grinned!!! :-)

Big win for me this year. after covid I developed a whole bunch of new and fun anxieties and every time I watched something violent or gory or even slightly medical I’d vividly imagine how painful and horrible it would be if that happened to me. For some reason I decided to watch The Boys and it literally exposure therapy’d the anxiety away…now I’ve been rewatching American horror story >:3

GETTING A JOB I was extremely nervous about both acquiring and carrying out the tasks of the job but it’s all turned out very well. mfw I get a job I enjoy and it also pays well. I’ve only had it for a month but a steady paycheck/somewhat steady schedule has done wonders for me

recently discovered the magic of mechanical pencils and I feel like it’s about to take my sketching to a whole new level

all the great deals I got at various stores this year but especially Aldi. items from Aldi have made this house a home. That shit is not moving so I know if I wait in the tall grass soon I can get it for at least 30% off. once I bought a cat tree for $5

Though after hours of searching they come a cross something. A missing poster, part of a news article, and a photo. [lore time]

The photo is of a young boy smiling up at a camera. He’s hugging a rabbit plushie to his chest. Clipped to his belt loop is a pale green tamagotchi. The kid has a too long fluffy hair that falls over his face. His eyes are closed in the photo as he smiles widely. The teeth of the kid are messed up, he’s missing a few, probably from just being around the age that those get lost and his two front teeth are both too big and have a gap between them. Freckles dot across the kids face.

The Missing Poster is of a young girl. In the photo she’s shyly looking at the camera. She’s dressed in a puffy pink and white dress like a princess. In one hand she clutches a familiar blue tamagotchi and in the other a book on farm animals. She has curly black hair and big brown eyes. On her arms are those fake kid tattoos, there’s one or two on her face as well.

The missing poster begs for her to be returned, with an amount of money promised that Cal gets the feeling would have financial ruined the family of this little girl. Mia Solace is listed as her name.

Already answered here (specifically towards one of them because she was the one asking. Hi Mhizzy. /pos), but also! I have many best friends. :) I know a lot of people tend to only have one, but I have many! From online, from my childhood days, from highschool, etc.

It's hard to pick only one to describe, but I guess the easiest way to describe them is that they're kind to me. :)

20.) who was your very first artistic inspiration?

I think the first major artist that I really felt inspired from was korean artist Ramdaram! You may know them from their viral videos such as these;

She also animated the MV for Dareharu's Karma, Flowering, and Pure Blood!

I really admire the way she draws characters- even through such a simplistic artstyle, she stands out with how she utilizes color palettes and how she animates her videos! I like the retro vibe she has going on for most of her stuff, and her art was what inspired me to try digital art again!

27.) your latest obsession? and why?

Tamagotchi ... specifically angelgotchi ...

I don't know what spurred me to buy an angelgotchi, but I found it online for a good price (around 30 USD), and while I wanted it, I didn't really find any reason to get it- but then I found out I did well enough in my last semester to be listed as a Dean's Lister in my college, and well. Treat for me. :)

I also just like angel-themed things in general recently. I'm attributing it to Slater, yeah, but also. The angelgotchi is just super cute aesthetic wise. And it's also really charming. :) I know the modern ones are just as lovely, but considering I'm terribly busy most of the time, having a vintage tamagotchi that's mostly just care + a single game (not counting the needier stages) and generally being low maintenance is nice.

I would really like a plushie of an angelgotchi! Probably Kuriten (my favorite), but also, Pukuten, Takoten, or Maruten ...

Another obsession is also Yumemiushi, but that's mostly tamer considering Yumemiushi are only plushies. Still, I love my little Potchi (my angel). <3

30.) favorite mythological creature? and why?

Technically, angels. Some don't consider them as such, since they're explicitly tied to religion- but well, it varies.

I had a religious upbringing, and though I don't believe as much anymore, nor do I practice as much as I used to (I still pray before meals though), I like the thought of having an assigned guardian angel looking out for me. :)

I like to think they're less humanoid looking, but not exactly biblically accurate. They're like little creatures to me. Like this.

When I was a kid, I had a Tamagotchi Angel. I had a normal Tamagotchi first, and other virtual pets after, but Tamagotchi Angel was my favorite, for no reason that I understand.

When I played Sonic Adventures 2 my main concern were the Chaos. Don't get me wrong, thr gameplay was fun and I was genuinely invested in the story, but the Chaos were my life, the main reason to play was to get money to spend on the black market and make my children strong. I loved them, I had a regular pink and spotted pink ones that I raised as heroes because they looked so cuteeeee with the angel motif. Seeing the little heart over them gave me joy.

Unrelated but as a child I always wanted a tamagotchi and never got one.

2024 Year In Review

2024 was a great year for Tamagotchi, it was our second year with the Tamagotchi Uni, and of course the iconic return of the Tamagotchi Connection! This year brought a record number of collaborations, software updates, Tamaverse Tickets, and Gashapons! For 2024, since so much happened, we are only going to focus on the big news.

01/03/2024 Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom is Now Available on Apple Arcade! After being announced in December, 2023, the Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom Apple Arcade application officially launched in the Apple App Store in early 2024! It was really exciting to see this game launch, and it has consistently received positive reviews.

02/17/2024 Bandai Namco US & Premium Bandai USA Announce Easter Themed Tamagotchi Original Shells This was a first, and we really enjoyed it! Bandai Namco US announced exclusive Easter 2024 themed Tamagotchi Original shells. Six shells were announced, and they were exclusively available on Premium Bandai US!

03/25/2024 New Tamagotchi Original Shells Advertisements in Japan’s Train Stations An impressive campaign was launched back in March, 2023 in Japan located at Shinjuku Station! It was to help spread the word about more western Tamagotchi Original shells being released in Japan. This was one of our favorite memories of 2024!

04/01/2024 Bandai Namco US Pulls Tamagotchi Connection April Fools Prank Bandai Namco US had jokes, huh? We had no idea that this April Fools joke would foreshadow a future announcement. The prank showcases a removable Tamagotchi accessory to add to your Tamagotchi Original, giving it the Tamagotchi Connection/Keitai antenna. Well played, Bandai Namco US!

04/11/2024 Bandai Japan Announces Hello Kitty 2024 Tamagotchi To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hello Kitty, Bandai partnered up with Sanrio again to release another Tamagotchi Nano! New shells, and two new characters added to then programming which were Neliatchi and Shykutchi!

04/11/2024 Bandai Announces Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters & Tamaverse Ticket Sanrio Characters Another Tamagotchi Uni! The Sanrio Characters Tamagotchi Uni was announced, and it served up a new color, a new faceplate, and of course a new Tamaverse Ticket! The most exciting part was that this would soon be announced as a global release, for the first time ever!

04/23/2024 Detective Conan Tamagotchi Nano Colorful Bandai Japan officially announced the very first Tamagotchi Nano Colorful, after teasing an announcement with Detective Conan on social media. An updated Tamagotchi Nano, but this time in color, and a rechargeable battery with USB-C connectivity. Super exciting to see Bandai partner up with Detective Conan again!

04/25/2024 Bandai Teases Possible Tamagotchi Connection Re-Release OMG, we remember this one like it was yesterday. Bandai drops a teaser for an upcoming Tamagotchi release. The teaser video was reminiscent of the Tamagotchi Connection V3 commercial. We were all on cloud 9.

05/13/2024 Bandai Introduces the Tamagotchi Connection with a 20th Anniversary Global Re-Release After years of outcry from the community, Bandai officially announces the return of the Tamagotchi Connection for the 20th anniversary. THIS WAS HUGE, and it still is. We finally have our Tamagotchi Connection back, and that makes our heart happy. Six shells announced globally, with two returning from the early 2000’s, and four shells were announced for Japan, with all four of them being updated shells from the originals released back in the early 2000’s.

05/28/2024 Bandai Announces Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival & Tamagotchi Uni Monster Carnival More Tamagotchi Uni’s! We didn’t know at this time but this release was foreshadowing the return of the angel! Bandai announces two new Tamagotchi Uni’s, Angel Festival and Monster Carnival, along with their respective Tamaverse Tickets! Gorgeous new shells, and some new characters.

06/02/2024 Inside the Bandai Namco Store American Dream Mall Grand Opening Bandai Namco US opened the first very Bandai Namco store in the United States! That’s right, on May 31st, 2024 the first store was opened in the American Dream Mall, located in New Jersey. We were so excited to attend the store opening, and meet Asaki Murakami! This is where #MelonSodaGate all started!

07/11/2024 Bandai Japan Announces Hololive Fantasy Tamagotchi Nano ColorfulThe second Tamagotchi Nano Colorful is announced! This time, it’s collaboration with Hololive Fantasy, a group consisting of video streamers! Four new shells, with matching plushies are announced.

08/31/2024 Inside the Tamagotchi Booth at 2024 Tokyo Toy Show After a big year of announcements, Bandai Japan took their latest Tamagotchi goodies to the 2024 Tokyo Toy Show. Showcasing the new Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters, Angel Festival, Monster Carnival, and of course Tamagotchi Original in all your favorite shells, along with the iconic return of the Tamagotchi Connection.

10/17/2024 Bandai Namco US Announces Tamagotchi Original Angel at “Fun With Tamagotchi” 2024 New York Comic-Con Panel This announcement was incredible to witness in person! At the 2024 New York Comic-Con Bandai Namco US hosted a “Fun With Tamagotchi Panel” were they announced the return of the Tamagotchi Angel, under the name “Tamagotchi Original Angel”, which features generation 3 programming. Two shells were announced, and fans all over the world rejoiced! Another return for 2024!

10/17/2024 Bandai Namco US is Bringing Melon Soda Tamagotchi Connection to the United States After we spoke to Asakai Murakami at the Bandai Namco Cross store opening at the American Dream Mall, and the launch of #MelonSodaGate, Bandai Namco US officially announces the Melon Soda shell! That’s right, for the first time ever Melon Soda is now available to purchase in the United States. This was a HUGE win.

10/31/2024 CHOGOKIN Tamagotchi Robot This was major! A collaboration of two Bandai brands, Tamagotchi and CHOGOKIN to bring the CHOGOKIN Tamagotchi Robot! A die cast metal robot with a Tamagotchi nested in it’s chest, the community is loving this one!

2024 was incredible, and there is so much to celebrate. The biggest highlight had to have been the return of the Tamagotchi Connection, which holds such a special place in our heart!

Now, to answer your question about Tokyo Tama-shopping...

To get the most recent Tamagotchi (currently the Smart), you'll want to hit a toy specialty or electronics shop, specifically:

Kiddy Land in Harajuku/Omotesando

Hakuhinkan Toy Park in Ginza

Yodobashi Camera (multiple branches: Akihabara, Shinjuku, Yokohama are my personal recommendations)

Bic Camera (multiple branches)

Toys R Us in Sunshine City Ikebukuro, Odaiba, or your local Aeon shopping mall

I want to stress that you only really need to hit one of these shops...they will all have basically the same product selection (stock not permitting). Aside from Toys R Us I'm fairly confident these retailers offer tax-free sales for international visitors, so bring your passport!

But, you say, I want classic Tamas! (Don't we all!) I will say these are trickier to find, as most sales are online via Mercari and Yahoo Auctions. As these are individual sellers I don't recommend trying to time an order to ship to your hotel! So where can you go instead?

Robot Robot+ inside Akihabara Radio Kaikan: P1, P2, Morino, Angel, sometimes Umino, Osutchi/Mesutchi, some Digimon. Premium pricing.

Nakano Broadway: The ultimate treasure hunt. There used to be a shop right across from Mandarake's manga shop on the first floor that had Osutchi /Mesutchi, but I don't know if it survived the pandemic. Individual showcases and a 90s themed branch on one of the higher levels is probably your best shot. Absolutely not guaranteed though!

Hard Off, Hobby Off: Usually in suburbs or more rural areas. Check the toy and video game sections...but the probability of finding a VPet is any kind is extremely low!

I legitimately don’t think Wilbur’s ever gonna find anyone that’s perfect for him like Shelby, their personalities worked together so perfectly they even shared similar interests like dnd, Warcraft(they would stay up late at Will’s house playing this one), the tamagotchi(the only ones to go 10th generation in the friend group), they both grew up as nerdy kids who were the weird one in their group, they both started their careers and streaming by making content with friends just for fun, they like and are very passionate about role playing and storytelling, they might not have the exact same sense of humor but it bounces off pretty well and there’s certain jokes both of them would make/find funny they even laugh the same sometimes and have similar mannerisms. In the meat mountain video they were very mom and dad energy, they really had fun traveling together(and taking a bunch of polaroid pictures). Also we were robed of a possible Wilbur and Shelby duet since she has an angelic singing voice and is learning an instrument.

And lastly they separately said around the same time a few months ago (maybe late last year or very early this year) that their ideal living situation was to get a big house where they could hang out with all their friends, I don’t know if they had talked about it but it was when Shelby was in the uk.

For the past couple of months I was on one hell of a Tamagotchi high, but sadly, I think my virtual pet fixation is starting to wane. That doesn't mean I'm losing interest, it just means my interest isn't intense, as other hobbies grip me much harder. I find myself actually annoyed by my v-pets beeping for attention when I am busy with something else, and that's not good. I never want a hobby to annoy me.

So I think, at the end of the month, or possibly earlier depending on how I feel, I'm going to go back to only running one v-pet at a time. I always want to have one running. Always at least one. This hobby is near and dear to me, so I always want to stay engaged with it. Never want to fall off the way I did in the 2000's.

Most likely i'll be running a Digimon. They're low maintenance enough, and they are what got me back into v-pets and even though they're pretty basic compared to tamagotchi, I still consider them my main interest.

All this to say, you can expect my posts on this blog to slow down just a little bit until something catches my attention, maybe the Pendulum color wave 2, maybe the Tamagotchi Angel remakes, maybe something completely new Tamagotchi related, but i'll still try to keep the queue filled and occasionally post screenshots. Like right now.

Look, it's Birdramon, that thing that's really good at beating the tar out of my Digimon on the DM20th. It's currently a Skull Greymon, which means next it's either an evo fail or a skull mammon, which is exactly what I had last run. Love the original Digimon bricks but that small pool of final evos is a bummer.
