Meet My Supernatural OCs: Karter Reese
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In honor of Castiel's birthday today I decided to finally start posting about some of my other ocs, staring with his future husband.
Meet Karter Reese, who is a crossover OC between Supernatural and Percy Jackson. He's a son of Hades but doesn't find out he's a demigod until he's 16 and doesn't get claimed until 28.
His parents are killed by monsters but him and his half brother Donnie are saved by John Winchester and dragged along on the road with him. Karter and Donnie leave a year after Sam goes to Stanford, only for everyone to reunite after Azazel kills Jess.
After a LOT of idiocy, mutual pining, and will they won't they, Karter ends up in a throuple with both Dean and Cas.

I saw that post about what to do if you're homeless again (the one that starts by telling you to spend all of your money on motel rooms lmao) anyway, here's a few thoughts, specifically for trans girls, cuz I don't really care otherwise tbh:
1) plan ahead, most trans girls are in precarious housing situations, you will have a much easier time when it falls apart if you already have a pack with most of the gear you need in it. Also, if you find yourself in a situation where you cant make rent, dont pay part of it, spend that money on gear, pocket the rest and leave, youll have a much nicer time. Look up your local eviction laws, you have plenty of time. (Gear list at the end)
2) travel! If you're in Arizona in May, leave. it's about to be hot as hell. If you're in Michigan in October, leave. It's about to be cold as hell. If you're in a big city, leave. It's way easier to be homeless pretty much anywhere else. Amtrak is cheaper and more comfortable than greyhound, hitchhiking is free and easy, if you're alone it's not that much slower than the previous two, and it's more fun, and sometimes people buy you food or whatever or give you money. I promise it's not scary and you're entirely capable of doing it, no matter who you are. 95+% of people who will pick you up are very nice. All you have to do is take the bus out of town, as far down the highway you can, to an exit with a truck stop if possible, then just stand on the side of the road with your thumb out until someone picks you up. You can stand at the bottom of the ramp(on the highway) near where the merge lane ends or at the top of the ramp(where there's usually a traffic light), the former is more likely to lead to cop interactions but will maybe get you a ride faster, check on hitchwiki for how the cops are in the area. don't be afraid to take a commuter bus or Amtrak to get out of a shitty cop area
3) skip shelters if you can (they are very occasionally a decent place to get stuff from) and encampments, good places to sleep include the trees near railroad tracks or highways, wooded areas behind shopping centers, sections of parks without paths, overgrown empty lots. Hang a tarp above you if there's an appreciable chance of rain, there's tons of YouTube tutorials on how to do this, maybe I'll make a post about what I usually do some day. There are many habits more fun than motel rooms, save your money for them lmao.
4) get on food stamps. This is easier in some places than others, but it makes the whole thing a lot easier. Just tell them you're homeless, if they don't give you a card the same day, you can probably ask to pick it up from that office, alternatively some drop in centers/day shelters can receive mail for you, or you can have it sent to general delivery(USPS service, look it up)
7) libraries are great for charging your phone and using wifi, but also keep an eye out, plenty of random outlets on the outsides of buildings are also powered
5) dumpster. sidewalk trash cans, Aldi, Einstein's, trader Joe's, pizza places, etc. You need to develop a bit of a sense for it but it's an easy way to get cooked food or travelling food or expensive food without spending resources. Also it's fun.
6) water is free, go into the bathroom of any gas station or grocery store in America(offer not valid in most big cities or on the west coast, but in that case just go to the library) and fill up your water bottle
8) hygiene notes: truckers get free showers from chain truck stops(loves, pilot/flying j) go there and ask them. convenient if you're hitchhiking, also you don't need to shower 3 times a day, really, you'll survive. Ditto with deodorant. Take care of your teeth though. Take your socks off every. day. Change them consistently. Safety razors give a good shave, work well without adequate water pressure, and the replacement blades are very stealable, they're kind of heavy though. Walmart makes these electric razors for women that take AA batteries and are pretty light but give a worse shave, also they kinda go through batteries, pick whatever works for you(cartridge razors suck)
9) traveling food notes: peanut butter is great, tortillas and bagels travel pretty well, tuna packets are pretty good protein for traveling(the ones with rice and beans or whatever are nice since theyre often the same price as the regular), condiment packets are free, hot sauce makes everything better, and mayo goes well with tuna and has a bunch of calories in it, salad dressing packets are free from truck stops and work well turning the Walmart shredded vegetable packages (labeled for making into slaw, next to the bagged salads) into a salad with real vegetables(not iceberg lettuce) in it or mixing in with tuna packets for even more calories than mayo
Gear world:
Necessary items(in order of importance): a gallon of water carrying capacity(an Arizona jug or other twist top jug is conventional, but a bladder+arizona bottles also works), a tarp(larger than 6'x9', not brightly colored), a hank of parachord, a sleeping bag (20° rated, synthetic insulation), a backpack with a padded hip belt(at least 50L, no more than 75), rain gear(a rain poncho might cover your pack too, a rain jacket can help with wind when its cold, a trash bag inside or outside your pack can keep it dry, a plan to watch the weather and not get caught also works), a z-fold foam sleeping pad, three pairs of socks, two pairs of underwear (at least one pair of boxer breifs strongly recommended if you arent incredibly skinny), a decent pair of shoes with good arch support, a functional jacket(skip if you got a rain jacket before), a base layer(wool or poly, absolutely no cotton)
Convenient items: a sleeping bag liner(cotton free, keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer), gallon zip locks to pack your stuff in(helps keep it dry and organized), no more than one change of clothes(as light as possible), a multi-tool(can opener, pliers, wire cutter), lighter(burning rope ends etc), spoon, floss and needles for patching

Was I the asshole for not paying an ex-roommate money I supposedly owed them?
this happened several years ago and i have had 0 contact with this person. they tried to take me to court over this a while ago and i just started thinking about it again. i wont be reaching out to pay them this money at all.
my ex roommate and i (early 20s) were a very sudden living situation, their old roommate left suddenly (wasnt on the lease) and i moved several states to live with them after a weekend of conversation about it and a month or two of knowing them. i was not on the lease. i know this was dumb please dont comment just that.
we shared a one bedroom apartment with rent being about $1200, but i ended up sleeping in the living room most of the time. i was having severe mental health issues and struggled holding a job at the time, so i paid what i could towards rent each month but it was usually not half.
our third month together, roommate came into the apartment the day after paying rent. i had already sent them my portion. roommate said that rent had not been taken out of their bank account but they were certain they paid. i asked them to go to the office to check that it had been paid. they said they would not and hoped it would be a free month of rent.
turns out they had put the wrong account information on the electronic payment, and two days later we got an eviction notice on our door telling us we had to pay rent x2 due to the late payment. roommate starts freaking out, but at this point i was already making plans to move back in with my family. roommate gets a loan of $2400 from their mother with no input from me, and then demanded that i pay half of it.
i kinda brushed it off and when i left back to my families home they continued to email me, even sent me one saying they would press charges on me. i ended up blocking them on everything and ghosting them hardcore, so i dont know what/how they’re doing now.
i did a lot of other things at the time that were certainly assholish behaviors, and on the off chance anyone who recognizes this situation sees this: i know i did a lot of shitty stuff. however, im not asking about any of that, im only asking about this.
reasons i could be YTA: i already wasnt paying solid half of rent every month, i was doing a lot of other shitty stuff at the time, we were both struggling and i kinda left them out to dry so to speak.
reasons i could be NTA: they made the loan agreement from their mother with no input from me, i actively told them to make sure rent was paid with the office out of fear of this happening and they ignored it.
so yeah. was i the asshole for this?

I am not about to sit here and claim that any work is above reproach, but so many criticisms of RENT are either directly addressed within the show or are just. not true. and this perennial discourse about how Problematic it is annoys me, so here we go
Why don't they just pay the rent?
are you kidding me
did you watch the show??
they don't have any money
the situation established at the beginning is that Benny has allowed them to stay in their apartment rent free for the past year because Roger was unable to work and he and Mark wouldnt be able to afford living expenses as well as Roger's medication otherwise.
Benny then tells them that unless they break up Maureen's protest, they will not only have to immediately start paying rent, they will also have to pay back the entire previous year's rent or else be evicted
needless to say if you ware barely scraping by, you do not have a year's worth of rent and then some just sitting on hand
Mark was cosplaying poverty, he could've gone back to his parents' house at any time.
perhaps
all we know about Mark's parents from canon is that theyre pushy and he doesnt want to live with them. We don't know any details of their living situation or home life
but even if he would have been fine moving back home, it would have meant abandoning both the community he had grown into, and Roger.
Roger literally had not left the apartment since April died, and was not well enough to work to support himself at the time. Mark leaving would mean leaving Roger without support.
Mark's view of the homeless is often voyeuristic and expoitative.
yah
the conflict between Mark's comparatively privileged upbringing and the poverty amongst which he now lives is a major part of his character
remember when that homeless lady told him to fuck off
that didnt just slip in by accident
The whole show is about not being able to afford things, and then Mark quits his job for his Ideals.
Mark was not entirely jobless before being employed at the magazine. He wasn't going from having a job to unemployment. He always had money for food, clothes, medication, etc., even if it was tight
he just wasn't employed in his field. it wasnt a question of Having A Job or Not; it was about whether Mark was willing to accept the chance to get closer to making a living off of his art, even if it went against his morals, or whether he could be content carving out filmmaking for himself in a way that felt right
I thought Jonathan Larson was gay and died of AIDS.
not his fault??
neither Larson nor his estate ever claimed either of those things, you just jumped to a conclusion and made it everyone elses' problem
I can't believe this is a common "criticism"
A straight man has no right to write about the AIDS epidemic.
I dont know how to tell you this, but AIDS is not a gays-only disease. what are you, a politician from 1986?
RENT was not about being gay, it was about the disease. Roger, Mimi, Mark, and Benny- half the main cast- are all straight as far as the audience is aware. other than gay people, the most at-risk groups at the time were IV drug users, sex workers, people of colour, and impoverished people, all of whom are represented in the show
Larson may not have had AIDS, but many of his friends and loved ones did, and died of it. how incredibly callous to say that someone cannot write about the tragedy they personally lived through, just because they are not of the demographic you most associate with it
Larson plagiarized the whole cast and all the major story beats from Sarah Shulman's People in Trouble.
this is one that cropped up on tiktok a couple years ago
have you read the book?
I have
the only similarities are that they are both about poverty and AIDS in New York, and there are characters who cheat on their partners. that's it.
it's like saying Veep plagiarized The West Wing because theyre both about white house staffers. or like those guys who claim any fantasy story featuring swords and the hero's journey is a Star Wars ripoff. it' absurd.
RENT is directly and openly based off the opera La Bohème by Puccini, as well as incorporating autobiographical elements from Larson's life
stop just repeating things you hear
in conclusion: there are real criticisms and analyses to be had with RENT, but these are not them

ok i was waiting until my laptop got here to finally tell all the bullshit thats happened in the last like. 5 months lol. cause its a lot to type
im gonna put it all under the cut so no one has to read if they dont want. its a LONG fucking story.
tl;dr:
Tumblr media
ok so for basic background, for the last two years or so, i was living with a roommate in connecticut. the roommate was my (now former) best friend since middle school. in july of this year his behavior totally shifted, and he started picking fights with me out of nowhere, told our high school friends a bunch of straight up lies abt me to make me look like a horrible roommate & person, and just generally became a two-faced dickhead. in the end, it turned out to all be excuses to justify his decision to move out (unofficially, name was still on the lease) so that he could live with his boyfriends and not pay any bills. at the time i was really devastated by this bc i felt totally betrayed by this person i had been close to since i was 12/13, but frankly after everything else that happened i barely fucking think about it now LMAO. this is set dressing more than anything else
so anyway, i had been living alone since about august, that was the last time i saw him in person. i wasnt handling the situation well because i had spoken to my high school friend and found out the extent to which hed tried to paint me as a slovenly, horrible roommate, to the point of telling actual lies about really dumb stuff (which didnt work btw - my friends, god bless them, were more concerned about my mental health than anything and thought i was going down a depression spiral, which my former friend told them he was helping me through. they believed me right away once we finally did talk). all that is to say, i was going kind of crazy lol, and i decided to go back home in october just for a short while, to recharge my batteries and all.
i was gone for a couple of weeks, not very long. i felt MUCH better after being with my family & friends in person, as i felt pretty isolated from everyone (my hometown is in new york, i was only 2 hours away by train but scheduling times to visit was sort of a hassle, so i only did it once every couple months). my grandfather and mom dropped me off at my apartment in early november, we were very lighthearted and discussing my next steps, since my shithead friend had been behind on rent more than 5 times (i always paid my half on time) and i was facing eviction because of it. we get to my apartment, i go to open the door, and it wont open. not that its locked, it just straight up WONT open. my grandpa tried to ram the door with his shoulder, and nothing. hes a strong ass dude, and this door wouldnt budge for anything.
my mom managed to get the kitchen window open and climb in that way, and it took both her and my grandpa pulling/pushing at the same time to force the door open. i wont even dress this up: there was mold. fucking. everywhere. on the floor, on the walls, all over everything i owned. i have pictures (had to take them for insurance) and im not even going to show them because they are beyond fucking disgusting. everything i owned was soaked in water and mold, and i do literally mean EVERYTHING. it was very warm in there too, like the temperature of a swamp. i was in a haze after that. i just remember sobbing, like genuinely heartbroken sobbing, as i wandered around looking at everything that was ruined. my mom & grandpa had to go and get maintenance because i was just utterly useless, and they were equally horrified & said they'd never seen anything like it.
i managed to save some items that were irreplaceable (journals, notebooks, etc) and whatever clothes werent utterly soaked in mold. all of my cookware, my books, my laptop & desktop (i cried the hardest when i saw the desktop) - it was all ruined. we found out later that the water boiler in my apartment had a catastrophic failure while i was gone, which caused it to constantly send water back through the pipes, empty, and refill itself. my bedroom was directly above the boiler downstairs, so it got the most significant amount of damage. all told, i lost like 95% of the things i owned. it is possible that i could have saved more, but the amount of mold in that apartment made it a genuine safety hazard for me to even be in there, so i had very limited time to grab what i could. the cruelest irony of all that? my shithead ex-friend's room, which was on the other side of the hallway, was pretty much untouched. he lost absolutely nothing lol.
so immediately, i had to leave the state. i moved back to ny with my family. my mother - who had a stroke last year following a diagnosis of an exceedingly rare neurological disorder, AND had two separate brain surgeries to improve her quality of life - was in the process of getting evicted. the landlord didnt give a fuck about any of my moms situation, not her being disabled, not her being widowed, not her having 3 kids under the age of 18 to care for - he just wanted her out so he could increase the cost of rent on our house. at the same time as all this was going on, i got saddled with a $600 electric bill (likely caused by the water heater's malfunction), which neither insurance nor the apartment would pay, so it came out of my pocket. in addition, i found out in december that i was also getting laid off.
we had nowhere to go and couldnt afford to live anywhere in the tri-state area. we had no choice but to move somewhere much cheaper, and since my mom already had a friend living in a mid-atlantic state, we chose to move there. the eviction went through in january and we had less than 2 weeks to pack all our shit, find a place to live, and get the fuck out. needless to say, we were not successful lol.
we stayed in my grandparents 1 bedroom apartment for about a week, then all of us drove down together to stay with my moms friend in her 3 bedroom apartment (she has 5 kids, 3 of whom live in the apartment). my moms apartment, which was supposed to have been ready by january 31st, still had people actively living there. the property manager kept promising us it would be next week for the entire month of february, to the point that my mom got fed up and chose to rent a small house instead. the reality of being essentially homeless for that time was beyond horrifying, and having anywhere between 8-10 people in that house (my cousin also moved with us, but he stayed in a hotel for the first week) was more taxing than i can express.
but things have gotten a lot better since then. i also found a cute little house to rent just up the road from my moms, and its very cheap for its size. i still havent found a job yet, but thanks to what was essentially the liquidation of everything i owned, ill be ok for a couple months more. im slowly but surely repurchasing all the things i lost and trying to acclimate to the new environment. things are still not totally stable right now, but they are slowing down, and at this point thats all i can really ask for lol.
so yeah. if u were wondering why i suddenly stopped posting after literal years of posting every day, thats why LMAO

conservatives are STILL pushing the "well if you dont like living in [x] place then LEAVE! its super easy to move all you need is a JOB and to SAVE MONEY. cancel your subscriptions and actually SAVE MONEY"
it actually isnt fucking easy to just up and move anymore. i would know. i recently moved across the country. i was lucky to have a remote job that let me move. most other people dont have that luxury where a job refuses to operate in the state they want to move to or they insist on being a fucking "hybrid model" (meaning you are basically remote but they want to have you on standby to come into the office for any god forsaken reason they make up on the fly, even if they never call you in you deciding to not be within a certain limit of the office means you are no longer fulfilling your job requirements and they can fire you)
"oh well just get a job at the new place!! many companies will pay for you to move!!!" in what fucking world is this still the norm. really. my wife worked for a very nice hospital and spent MONTHS up to our move looking for new jobs in our new location. none of them would even consider an interview until he was in the state. NONE. none of them wanted to bother as they were either not rly looking for someone to fill that position that seriously, or could ask someone that was there right now for an in person interview and to start right away. even the couple of months leading up to it none of them really bothered because GETTING A JOB IS ANNOYING HARD RIGHT NOW. have you tried looking for a job lately? you will apply to hundreds and get maybe 1-4 fucking interviews only for them to tell you they don't want you. if you are nice enough to get a rejection email in the first place.
"well then save up money and move and look for a job then!" MANY APARTMENTS WILL NOT LET YOU SIGN A LEASE UNTIL YOU CAN PROVE YOU HAVE AN INCOME. period. they will not let you. it doesn't matter if you have fucking 20k saved up. they dont know and dont care. what they want is proof that you have a job nearby, will keep this job, and be making a certain amount of money per month so they can ensure you can pay rent on time. and they wanna KNOW. it used to be many places just ask for credit score and shit because making enough to pay rent was the norm and assumed you wouldn't live in a place if you couldnt pay rent. but now they make sure you are making 3 times the fucking rent because oh yeah the economy is shit right now. its expensive to fucking evict people too and a massive legal hassle and during the lockdown there was a pause on evictions and landlords not getting fucking paid so they have made it everyone else's problem
so no. you cannot save up money to get an apartment and just look for a job then. i know that is how it was 10-20 years ago. it would make sense that it would continue to be the case. but its not anymore because we live in hell. you need to have a job before you can rent a place. you can't get a job UNTIL you are renting a place either. meaning you have to find someone else in the area you want to move to to bum off of for potentially several months, AND you have to save up the money to actually do so. it can be cheap if you just wanna get a greyhound and have no pets and have only like a suitcase for your belongings. or it can be as expensive as several thousand to ship it. or you can spend, depending on distance, a good several hundred dollars to rent and drive a uhaul across several states or potentially the country, staying in hotels when you can or sleeping in the truck or something depending on weather (miserable). "just sell all your belongings" isn't really a good, sensible solution because god fucking dammit some people own clothes and mementos or have pets or computers. some people dont wanna just sit in an apartment with no furniture for months, potentially years on end while they save up to have a fucking chair and mattress (because FURNITURE ALSO COSTS MONEY TO REPLACE!!!!!!!)
you do not have someone to move in with in the new location? too bad. you arent moving there. you have to wait and get lucky that the opportunity presents itself another way while you try to save money (AND SAVING MONEY SUCKS BC THE PRICE OF FOOD AND RENT IS OUTRAGEROUS) or you move there anyways and decide to be homeless.

I am really on the fence about making a full post about my personal life, but I am in deep need of help right now.
I will keep the story relativley vague for personal reasons. If you wish to read more on my situation, then click read more.
Please dont commission me or donate if you are struggling financially. I have my ways to make cash, its just not working as much as I hoped. So this is more of one of my last resorts.

My story
I lended 4k+ of my "moving out" savings to a family member i am living with in order to cover unpaid rent (rent I have already been copaying to them monthly. Around 600-900$ depending on my paycheck) to keep us from getting evicted. Unfortunetly that family member refuses to pay anything back despite me making it clear that it was a loan and I dont have the time, money, or energy to sue.
And now the lease is up (or my family is getting evicted.) Idk which one and frankly I dont care. It could be both.
I have been growing up in this toxic and abusive household for almost all of my life with this family member, so unfortunetly if I co sign another lease with her, I will not be able to last much longer in that enviroment.
There is also a BUNCH of family drama and horrible decisions being constantly on that person's end that is making things borderline dangerous for everyone.
I still have part of my savings from my moving out savings account, so Im not feeling completely hopeless, but if I am terrified of losing more.of that money the longer I am in this enviroment. I will never be able to leave the longer I stay and will be pushed further back to where I started.
Any money I have left will be used to finally start my transitioning from ftm (which that family member used threats of su!c!de to keep me from getting treatment for), mental and physical therapy, and lastly to help my boyfriend move to america (and hopefully buy a real home)
Also take in my brother if he has no where else to go to.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this, even if you don't donate or commission me, i am just happy that I was finally able to get my actual story out. If anything, being finally able to speak out about my situation has let a lot of weight off my shoulders (even if I left a lot of what happened to me out of this post)
Maybe one day I will tell more of what my home life was like. Just not today.
Again thank you for reading.

I need someone to tell me I'm not crazy. Story below:
So my parents had this tenant who they evicted. Didn't pay his rent for six months, had to take him to court, ect ect. Well, he was finally out a week after he was supposed to be and they went in to change the locks and he had left all of his stuff there.
They decided to take it all because they have a court order and a sheriff and everything. I still think this is kind of iffy because they are VERY well off and this dude is clearly poorer than them. They aren't like....storing it. It's THEIRS now they say. So they have extras of stuff that they already had. Whatever. They are cheap boomers and hoarders even though my dad always bitches about all the junk in the house he's never going to let go of something that he thinks is rightfully his, most of all if it's someone that he feels screwed him over. I personally dont care if someone screws you. You still can be civil and not take all of their stuff as your own like you deserve it.
So I'm cleaning for them today and I go and get the vacuum cleaner and it's a different one than I normally use. I'm like "Where is the old vacuum" cause it was a pet one and this one is one of those dinky dirt devils you had in college that they sell in Target for $60. They say they moved it to the basement and this is a 'new' one one from this guy. I start vacuuming and I'm like "Whatever cheap skates at least it works." because the old one is like 20 years old and heavy.
Five minutes into vacuuming I start GAGGING at the smell. It smells like vomit. Like real vomit. Not an exaggeration. It smells like this guy (Do did alot of drugs) threw up on the floor and then vacuumed it up. I'm like 'oh my god' and I go to get the other one from the basement. My dad is like what are you doing and I tell him about the smell and what it smells like and he looks me dead in the eye all casually and says 'oh. you just need to change the filter.'
...am I crazy for thinking: no, you got this vacuum for free (Honestly I call it taking from a guy far less well off than you), and its literally the cheapest vacuum. You get rid of the vomit vacuum? Note that he did clean it but I feel like that just makes it worse and more obvious that its no good?
My dad goes off about this is why millennials have no money ect etc. Yes. Yes, we are so spoiled not wanting to use a used vomit vacuum. Am I crazy?

i mean this in the absolute kindest way possible, but i read your update on your gofundme post and it seems like someone in your family may be very seriously mismanaging your money? i cannot fathom a landlord allowing you to be 9 months behind on rent without evicting you, but even so, your gofundme page indicates that your state minimum wage is $15.50/hr, which means that with 3 full-time incomes, even if your dad only works 10 hours a week and you pay 30% in taxes (which you almost certainly dont), you should all still be bringing in about $5500 a month. the numbers just... dont really make a lot of sense, since you should be making just enough to pay the rent, and to be $45k in debt just in rent payments, your landlords would have had to let you underpay them by thousands of dollars a month for years or let you stay there without paying them at all for 9 months. im not suggesting that youre lying about the situation, but seeing your post made me really concerned that someone in your family might be really misrepresenting the financial situation to you. i hope you can figure it all out, im sure this must be incredibly stressful for you. please be well.
it's a bit of a tricky situation and i def don't have all of the info bc my parents are really cagey about telling me everything. we did have an agreement with the landlords and we were underpaying them for basically the last 3 years. they've been (surprisingly) gracious with us all this time
i am concerned that there's some sort of money mismanagement that's happening, and i really don't want to go into details, but i've been learning tonight that this has been a much longer issue than i've been aware of. like, not just something that happened because of covid, it was just made much, much worse/kickstarted again by my dad losing his job (which was really well-paying)
thank you for the kind words, i'm sure we'll figure something out, but it's just something that my whole family has to sit down and talk about. hopefully we can get to the root of the problem and cut it out completely

Whew. I knew landlords were insane but its interesting seeing them reveal themselves live, in real time.
So far, over these past 1-2 months, our landlord has:
1. Reminded us of how nice they were for setting the price of rent and “discounting” it specially for us (poor idiot black folk) which no one knew about, negotiated, or asked for, several times over the past few months to show how generous and kind they are.
2. Reminded us of how great they were for taking care of repair/maintenance issues in a timely manner, because it couldve been worse and some landlords dont care about things like that at all.
3. Accused my parents of deliberately hiding the fact that I live with them (despite the contract they all signed initially, stating that I lived with them) to pay less rent…. meanwhile calling themselves good Christians because they ignored my parents “lie”
4. Being the aforementioned good Christians they are and showing the house to a potential buyer on this easter sunday ☺️
5. Threatening to use my parents “deception” about me living with them as ammo so they can evict us early, if we do not have the house cleaned and neat as possible for the easter sunday showing. Which we arent legally obligated to do at all. And wouldnt be possible to use as ammo because it was in their fucking contract that I was living with them as a dependent.. but nevertheless, a “reminder” to make sure the house is as clean and un chaotic as possible despite us being in the process of moving.
Landlords are crazy as hell. Like were moving in 2 months. We are literally leaving. What the fucks your problem?? Whats with the wild ass demands and low key high key threats lmao???
This is also great and wonderful bc I just somehow get the feeling my bf does not really want to move in together so its real nice feeling like, in case of an emergency, hes gonna be acting weird about me needing to live with him. He says its not a big deal but idk man, ive seen him genuinely offer someone a place to stay. This is something else. In fact it almost seems like hes hesitant because it would be too real too fast, and unexpected. So Im not relying on him at all. Kinda makes me want to end the relationship lmao.
But! I could be imagining it since Im super stressed out! Who knows!! This is great!!

hi i hope you dont mind me asking but are you in the us? because if you get SSI/SSDI in the US they SHOULD (hopefully) give you backpay for the amount of time since you first applied and in most cases should also give you backpay if your disability was "determined real" before that. if ur not in the us disregard this message lmao. regardless i hope you're able to get your bills paid & have some left over for what ya need! 💛
im only able to apply for temporary disability under the fmla right now. i am getting back pay, but again, the problem is that like. my rent is close to 2k a month and i owe abt 6k in backrent rn. the money i was approved for (roughly 7k) is going to be completely knocked out by just making sure my landlord doesnt evict me, not to mention bringing my bank account out of the red. and i'll barely have any left over for all of my other bills, food, food for my cat, and everything else i need just to survive. that's the only reason i'm asking for help on top of this, bc it took 5 months just to get the approval in the first place.
thank you for your concern tho,,, i already looked into ssi/ssdi and my disability does not qualify as an actual disability for them, but does for the fmla. i'm also trying to apply for rent assistance via social services but like. that's a Whole Thing. and i might not get approved til next month anyway, if i get approved at all (which honestly i don't think i will)

Will we be seeing Winn and Rembrandt again? 0.0
"I said, quit it," Winn snapped. It was all too easy. "You know no one actually buys this bullshit, right? Maybe it works for whatever sweet little cape you have to con for the job, but the rest of us really know what's going on."
Eli stared at him, then closed his eyes with a sigh. "Don't do this, Yale."
"Dont tell me what to fucking do," Winn retorted. "Fuck, you just think you can sweet talk everyone into doing what you want, huh? Play like you - like you fucking actually care, like you're their dad or their boyfriend or what the fuck ever. I'm just doing this because -"
Winn fumbled to a stop. Because why? His chest tightened.
"'Cause you're gonna fuckin' pay me for it," he said, after a moment of scrambling. "I'm coming for the bill after. That's what I'm doing. So - So quit acting like we're friends."
yes n_n
i am working on a story this year, about someone else entirely in an entirely different fantasy world, but winn (and rembrandt, and eli, and everyone else ever) still live in my head rent-free and i don't think i can evict them bc rembrandt owns the land now, so :/
