I feel like a lot of older comic book fans underestimate how bad art can turn people away from a comic, and not just in the "that's not how a human woman looks like" way

#like I see people praise 90s comics a lot on this site #and don't get me wrong I love a lot of 90s runs #but some are just unreadable. even if the story is good #see: 90s nightwing for example #or the steel issues in reign of the supermen vs the rest of reign (which has a more classic byrne style)#they did john herny so dirty...#anyway #this is why I've found post rebirth stuff easier to read #even if the story isn't as good
