I work as an over-the-phone tech support advisor and for some reason people think it's appropriate to dump all kinds of TMI personal info on me and treat me like a therapist more often than not but lately the trend seems to be
"I have x medical condition caused by the covid vaccine." I talked to 2 people this week claiming this, one in the hospital with severe flu symptoms and another whose husband had a stroke. They both made it clear to me that they KNOW it was the VACCINE that did this to them. Last week I spoke with a lady who said that her daughter and her best friend both developed breast cancer DAYS after getting vaccinated. The same woman also screamed at me for 20 minutes about how she'll NEVER let her granddaughter get the MEASLES VACCINE. You know, the one that's been around since the NINETEEN SIXTIES?
Like, you realize that the flu, strokes, and cancer happened to people before the covid vaccine and will continue to happen to people, right? Apparently there are still people out there who think that MMR causes autism which is like, fuck, man, we've been over and over and over this. At this point you're actively avoiding the correct information.
I don't wanna get fired so I keep my mouth shut and do my lil troubleshooting and I don't really know the point of this post but I just wish people weren't so willfully ignorant...and to get multiple people doing this in just the last month or so? It's almost like something emboldened them to make absurd claims about vaccines. Hmm!

IDK who needs to hear this this holiday season but we always fill out customer satisfaction surveys with five stars.
We ALWAYS fill out customer satisfaction surveys with FIVE STARS.
Surveys ALWAYS refer to the employee(s) you interacted with and NEVER the company! There is likely a better place to air your grievances against capitalism than a customer satisfaction survey!
Anything less than 5 stars equals ZERO to the company!
These customer satisfaction ratings can affect an employee's pay, hours, and even whether or not they get to keep their job!
If you can't bring yourself to give them 5/5 on the survey, DON'T FILL IT OUT! Just walk away! You can do that! Give them 5 stars or put the pen down!
You can write a diatribe in the comments section and explicitly state that "[employee name] was wonderful but I hate your prices!" and it will fall on deaf ears! Again: There are better places to air your grievances about a company than on a customer satisfaction survey!!! THE NUMBERS KEEP NUMBERING AND ANYTHING LESS THAN A PERFECT SCORE HURTS THE EMPLOYEE. PERIOD.
#Unless the person literally spit in your face just give them five fucking stars!!!#I don't care if the person had a little attitude! If they are working retail over the holidays they are surviving actual hell!
