The hate Blackpink gets is driven by internalized misogyny and here’s why

Blackpink. Basically the biggest girl group on the planet and one of the biggest groups in general, dominating the charts worldwide. Blackpink’s comeback, “How You Like That” broke world records for most viewed video in 24 hours and debuted no.2 on the Billboard charts. I’m sure “Lovesick Girls” charted as well or the same. The first kpop group to perform at Coachella, Blackpink have collabed with too many western artists for me to name (actually, I could probably name them but I could care less about some of these western artists so I’m not going to). I mean, not really a surprise, Blackpink has been breaking records since their debut in 2016. There’s not even really a point in introducing them to you since there’s literally no way you don’t know who they are.

Now like many celebrities, the more famous you become the more hate you get. I hope everyone knows that this is just bound to happen regardless if your favorite celebrity has never done anything problematic and consistently produces bop after bop. However, BP get some of the worst hate I have seen towards a kpop group and most of it coming from kpop fans and blinks themselves. I’ve heard it from my close friends, from randos on stan twitter, and from locals. So, I have a bone to pick with y’all haters because I truly don't understand.

Let me start with saying that I’m not a blink. I’m kinda far from it. I like bp and I will definitely click on their stuff when it comes out but I am in no way shape or form an actual stan. I wouldn’t buy their stuff or cry over their achievements, though it does make me somewhat proud. But even though I’m not a blink, I find myself defending these girls whenever someone tries to start shit.

Ok, so from what I could gather from scouring the internet, harassing my friends, and looking through twitter, people hate bp for mainly these reasons: they hate Jennie, they think bp are overrated and overhyped, they “are not serving what they could serve” (yes, I quoted this from my friend), they’re basically models not idols, their fans suck, and BIG 3 privilege. There’s actually a lot more reasons that I found by looking at a “why do you hate blackpink?” quora thread but these are the easiest to tackle. I’m here to tell you that most of this hate if not all of it comes from misogyny. To be more specific, internalized misogyny because most of this hate comes from female kpop fans.

Disclaimer: I did not research which demographic hates on bp the most but from personal experience, it has always been women who share their distaste for bp. Ok, moving on.

I’m going to tackle the reasons I laid out one by one, hopefully well enough that you look back and see if the reason why you hate bp is out of just simple dislike for their music or because you hate women. There’s a big difference if you didn’t notice. If you get offended by this piece then that’s on you not me, just saying.

Ok, first reason. You hate Jennie? Is that so? May I ask why you hate her so much? What exactly has she done to you that you have such a strong hatred for her? Is it because she’s lazy? Because she’s not doing what she’s capable of? I need reasons. I really do need some reasons before I label you off as someone struggling with internalized misogyny. Jokes aside, I don’t see how you can hate someone you’ve never met. I think most of the time we forget that you literally don’t know these people. I don’t know my favorite kpop boys and you definitely don’t know my good sis Jennie. I could make a whole other piece on the fake images and personalities these idols have and how we eat them up but whatever.

Back to Jennie, you literally don’t know her. This whole Jennie is lazy argument is bs, pure shit if you ask me. You have no way of knowing what’s going on in her life. I’m pretty sure you’ve had bad days, bad weeks, maybe even bad months. You forget her job is draining, mentally and physically. She’s got dances to memorize, songs to memorize, fans to deal with and communicate with. She has a social media presence, she still has to practice and train (idols don’t just stop practicing once they debut). I know my body would not be able to withstand that no matter how long I trained; I’d drop dead immediately. The matter of fact is there are a ton of reasons why she wasn’t performing up to YOUR standards, which is a whole other can of worms since you’re probably on your bed doing nothing. It’s almost like y’all forgot sickness and fatigue is a thing.

And even if the reason wasn’t a medical reason, you can’t let my good sis be lazy for once??? The thing is everyone acts like they’ve never been lazy in their entire life. You’re telling me you’ve never not wanted to do nothing for no good reason? Lies, you’re fucking lying. Ok so what if she doesn’t feel like doing the move with that much energy. Let her live?? All I’m saying is you’d probably survive 5 days in the kpop industry with your lazy ass. And don’t try to hit me with the “but that’s her job she has to perform at 100% all the time” because I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to be failing your classes or pretending to be sick to get out of class. It’s the hypocrisy of it all. All if you had to perform the same song for a year, I’m sure you’d get sick of it too (fuck you YG).

The reason why you hold Jennie to ridiculous standards is because of your ~ misogyny ~. Yes, it’s showing. Especially if you don’t hold male idols to the same level as Jennie. Female idols on the daily are held to ridiculous standards when it comes to their performances. One hair out of place and all of a sudden the knetz come holding their pitchforks. Gfriend slipping on the stage, something caused by literal rain, is still laughed at to this day and mocked. Jang Gyuri on Produce 48 had a voice crack that was edited and replayed to death on the show, ending in her elimination because she couldn’t recover from it. Meanwhile male idols make a mistake on stage and it’s like “Omg, a babie! Omg, that’s so funny!”. I don’t think I can think of any moment where male idols got shit because of a stage mistake. If anything he’s just babied and posted on twitter. My point is female idols are always shat on no matter what they do. Jennie is no exception.

Now the second point, bp is overrated and overhyped. Umm, so this point is a little harder to flat out say you’re wrong, mostly because it depends on your own personal taste. If bp’s music is not for you then it might be easy to say that they’re overrated since they’re literally the biggest girl group in the world. The nuances come with the reasons behind this statement. I’m not going to address if you just dislike their music, I can’t really change your opinion on that. I will however, address if the reason behind you saying they’re overrated is because their music sounds “generic” and you don’t think they’re talented, or if you don’t think they deserve their fame because of their small discography and short promotion periods.

The statement that all four of the bp members are untalented is just false. Wrong. W-R-O-N-G. Don’t mind me just spelling it out for you. Listen, to be able to debut you have to have some sort of talent. No one really debuts without any talent at all (for record yes I’m including visual as being a talent, sue me and leave hate idc). The only reason why someone with no talent would debut is if they had a HUGE fan base before debut and the company was trying to capitalize on it. I can name a few examples but I’m not trying to start shit. These fan bases could show up from predebut commercials, acting gigs, or reality shows. Blackpink had none of that, sure a few of them had appearances in other mv’s but I wouldn’t consider that abnormal in companies’ promotion tactics. Bp went through the typical trainee process. They passed the auditions, trained for a couple of years, and debuted. Now if you knew anything about the trainee process you would know that trainees have monthly evaluations. These monthly evaluations determine whether or not you can make it to debut. If you don’t show progress, then you’re getting the boot. So the fact that bp made it up to the final levels of evaluation and actually debuted indicates that these girls have talent, I’m sorry to say. Objectively, these girls can dance, sing, and rap. Maybe they’re not the best in the industry, I never said that but they are capable of doing all 3 things. Also they come from YG and as much as I hate YG, they’ve got trainees for dayssssss. YG’s status and income did not rely on these girls debuting, they could’ve picked anyone out of their 100 trainees they’ve got in the dungeon. If anything it’s way more competitive to debut in any of the Big 3 companies. It’s like picking the best of the best. If you’re saying these girls are not talented then maybe check yourself a little bit to see why you’re exactly saying that. I’m assuming you won’t be able to do anything better than them.

The other three points were that their music is generic, their discography is small and their promotions are short. Well, in that case say fuck YG? You’re really acting like these girls produce their own music, make their own choreos and schedule their own promotions. Like wtf? That’s what their companies are for? The way that everyone chooses to ignore YG and their staff and immediately put blame on the girls like they get to choose what they do is ridiculous. Now I know not everyone does this, but the amount of people I’ve seen say bp is overrated because of their discography is a lot. But y’all really out here acting like they make their own discography smh. Yell at Teddy? Yell at YG? I’ve been yelling at those mfers because they’re not giving bp what they deserve. There’s no surprise when I say what they’ve been giving bp is subpar in terms of choreo and vocal ability in songs. I know those girls can do so much more. I don’t even wanna talk about the pretty savage choreo. I don’t. But this is no reason to hate on them? It’s like if I hated a starbucks barista for starbucks having a pumpkin spice latte. Like ????

Even the hate that they receive because they get sponsorships and ads makes no sense. You don’t want them to make coin? A huge part of what comes with being famous is brand sponsoring. Brands pay you to promote their stuff because hello, you’re famous. So the fact that you don’t want them to do this is first of all wack but also again you’re acting like these girls choose the sponsorships and choose when to go on these trips. YG. MFING YG. I don’t think y’all understand how much control these companies have over their idols. Company says drink water, you drink water. Company says stop breathing and you stop breathing. You do whatever your company says you have to do. That’s your boss.

So why don’t y’all start hating the producers, choreographers, and management instead. Why focus your hate on these four girls? I won’t spell it out for you again but I hope you get the jist. Most of the time it’s way more easy to attack the woman when she has nothing to do with anything. Society tells you to direct your complaints to the girl involved. You see a male celebrity start dating and who gets attacked? The girl. A girl gets cheated on in a movie by her boyfriend and who does she attack? The girl he cheated with. It’s internalized misogyny luv, yes I ended up spelling it out for you. For real, the girls just breathe and y’all scream at them.

Final point about the big 3 privilege and fanbase. You have every right to not stan a group because of their fanbase. What you don’t have a right to do is hate on them and leave nasty comments on their posts. First, that’s fan behavior. Second, if you’re gonna do this keep the same energy for people who want to do this with your group. I’m talking about every group because every idol group got some wack ass fans. You shouldn’t hate a group because their fanbase is annoying, they don’t get to pick and choose their fans. So, don’t be a hypocrite ok :) Now big 3 privilege. Ah big 3 privilege. Yes, it exists. There’s no denying it. Big 3 privilege doesn’t really die out in my opinion. For as long as they’re still active, bp will have big 3 privilege. But just with any other sort of privilege, if you have it might as well use it. Listen, if I was white you know I’d be eating up my white privilege I’m not gonna lie. Jokes aside, bp has worked extremely hard. Yes, they have the big 3 privilege but they still have to perform these concerts, shows, and go to these interviews and train. As much as you’d like to disagree with me, I think that it’s a very objective to say that they have worked hard.

I think it’s important to acknowledge how hard it is to get into these companies in the first place. You’re not born into it like a lot of social privileges people have. You have to audition. There are so many idols that have tried to get into these big companies but have failed. Now I’m not saying that these idols are not as talented as the ones that get into these big companies. Most of the time, these idols aren’t ready at the time of their audition and work harder on their own before trying out other companies. The big 3 get their trainees at very young age, which means these kids have to be either geniuses or show an incredible amount of promise. They’re the big 3 for a reason, they’ve been around the longest and have the most experience. They can see a future idol in the making relatively quickly. So yeah bp have big 3 privilege but they’ve worked hard, sacrificed their childhood, and get shat on just as much as your kpop idols. They’ve just got a fancy name behind them that doesn’t even make good choices promoting them anyways. It’s not a valid reason to hate them because of this, just saying.

Most of the hate bp gets is brought upon by the idea that our patriarchal society has ingrained in us. Women = bad, yell at them vs. men = good, don’t yell at them. We hate seeing women succeed. It’s as simple as that. Seeing powerful women dominate the industry they’re in scares us to our core. We don’t like it. I’m just here to bring light to it.

Marvel AU: You and I remember Germany VERY differently

Marvel AU Concept: A Winter Soldier that wasn’t quite as well brain-washed as Hydra would’ve liked . . .

So this time when Hydra sends their little Winter Soldier to off Howard Stark, Stark takes one look and goes, “Bucky Barnes? What the actual fuck dude.” (Because Howard hung out around Steve Rogers, and probably spent at least some time around/hearing about the other Commandos, so why address his friend Steve’s bestie by his rank?) And the Winter Soldier gets as far as, “Who the hell is -” before, bam! Years of brain blending are now down the tubes as the simple act of hearing/thinking his name again has banished the Winter Soldier and brought back Bucky Barnes. (Because that stubborn shit somehow managed to subconsciously hang onto his nickname being a trigger to bring himself back, both because he IS that stubborn and because it’s convenient for my plot. ANYWAY.) Bucky, last he remembers, was plummeting to his death in the mountains but now finds himself standing in the middle of the friggin’ woods in front of a random old couple with no god damn clue what the hell is going on. He is somewhat cranky about this.

Howard and Bucky stand around talking for a bit and staying very confused, because wtf Barnes you’ve been dead for like 50 years but you’re standing here looking like a freaking goth male model and wtf Stark is like a 30-something-year-old mad scientist man-whore not an old married dude tf are you?? Eventually Howard, while still hella confused, is at least convinced it’s Barnes so he sighs and tells Bucky to get in loser, I’ll deliver my latest batch of science-I-REALLY-shouldn’t-have-tampered-with breakthrough to Carter to be pissed at me for later. (After all, resurrected dead friends is a level of bullshit even Peggy is likely to give him a pass for dealing with first - as long as he’s not the one responsible for having caused it, anyway.) So Bucky, while still not sure what to believe, still finds himself lost in the middle of the damn woods and not even knowing which damn woods so he decides to at least agree to bum a ride for now but stay on guard.

Howard heads back home to sort things out and upon walking into the house probably finds Tony, a teenage boy left unsupervised, doing literally everything and everyone he isn’t supposed to, and most likely in the middle of the freaking living room or something no less. “Well, you’re home early.” Howard looks ready to blow his stack and Maria looks mortified, but everyone freezes as Bucky just cracks. the fuck. UP. “I’m still not convinced you’re actually Howard, but if you were that kid would definitely be yours.” Howard buries his face in his hands while Tony promptly smirks and decides he likes whoever the hell this guy is.

. . . Until a little while later, when he finds out the random dude his parents brought home with them is supposed to be the second-in-command of the legendary Howling Commandos, the larger-than-life hero of World War II and best friend of the man Tony Stark loathes most in the world, Captain Perfect. Barnes just stands there in supreme confusion as Tony rants on and on about how his dad never shuts up about how freaking wonderful Captain America was, how goddamn perfect the Man with a Plan was; how he always knew what to do, how he always did the right thing, how he had his priorities and his shit SO sorted and on lock and ‘Tony why can’t you be like that’ and just UGH. Bucky is wondering amusedly if maybe Tony’s somehow confused Stevie with the character he played during the USO tour when his thoughts suddenly whirl to a full stop after finally catching on the word Tony kept using: ‘was.’ Tony stops mid-rant when Barnes suddenly just drops.

After finally pulling himself together somewhat (to Tony’s immense relief, god, please don’t let me accidentally break my dad’s 2nd-favorite war hero like immediately) Bucky manages to croak out, “How long?” Seeing the blank look on Stark jr.’s face, he explains that he wants to know long it took after he supposedly died before Steve decided to join him. Tony replies by reciting the epic saga of Captain America’s Last Great Noble Sacrifice, which Howard has told him so many times he probably knows it better than his own name by this point. By the end of it Barnes looks ready to kill someone and Tony is hella confused because, “Shouldn’t you be proud of your friend? Isn’t that just SO Captain America? Like why are you even surprised??” And Bucky, SUPER pissed, is just like, “Yeah, I suppose I shouldn’t be, should I? I left that moron alone for ten minutes so he took all the stupid and ran with it; goddamn it Stevie! UGH.” This is followed by a multi-hour-long rant/bitchfest of how many ways Steve could’ve done things differently and exactly how big of an idiot he was and some highlights of the Stupid Shit he pulled during missions as Captain America and during their childhood running loose trying to pick a fight with half of Brooklyn. ”’Perfect Man Who Always Knew What He Was Doing’ my ass.”

After he’s finished explaining what Steve was really like to the skeptical teen, Bucky promptly heads off to find Howard and call him out on his bullshit. “He picked a fight with Nazi Germany because I was missing because of it and because it was a good excuse to fight a bullying country, Howard. Wtf kind of bullshit have you been feeding your brat about us? You’re giving him anxiety already, knock it off.”

Eventually Bucky decides to go after Steve, because end of the line means end of the fucking line and I am bringing my moron home goddamnit. This should have been a pretty hopeless task, but between an enthusiastic Peggy putting all of SHIELD’s resources at their disposal, Stark Sr.’s rekindled obsession and addition of all of Stark Industries’ resources, Stark Jr.’s willingness to lend a hand because it’s the only thing he’s allowed to do while grounded-until-he’s-30, and Bucky Barnes’ unfailing Steve’s-in-trouble-must-locate-my-idiot senses, it was an astonishingly short period of time before Steve Rogers was found and then defrosted. (Bucky sat with Steve’s body while they thawed him out, ostensibly for his funeral, so you can imagine the freak-out that occurred when his best friend’s ‘corpse’ suddenly rolled over and started mumbling the words to ‘Star-Spangled Man With a Plan’ in his sleep).

Steve and Bucky, reunited at last, have a very messy, somewhat violent, utterly heartbreaking and incredibly tear- and swear-filled reunion before being loosed upon ‘the future.’ They then take it upon themselves to spend time with what’s left of their old friends, whip Howard into being at least no less of a decent human being than he was when they met him, and revamping the Captain America legacy to make it less of a legend of a perfect human being (Steve was literally crying laughing when he heard what people thought he was like) and more the story of a bunch of brave idiots trying to do what they could to help.

SHIELD has fits over them giving their versions of how some of the stories went either because “That’s classified!!” or “You’re destroying a legacy!” or, their favorite, “That’s not even remotely how that could have possibly gone. No. NO. You did NOT punch a robot Adolf Hitler hundreds of times before melting the Red Skull into a puddle of goo like the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz using a magic light box, no less. NO. Just, please, please stop talking.” Peggy and the remaining Commandos find the whole thing amazing and hilarious and thus refuse to refute anything those two say, and Steve and Bucky help raise Tony Stark to be a much more put together adult, help out with the odd SHIELD mission when they feel the need to punch something or Hydra’s being irritating, and just generally have a good time. That is, they do until the events of the Avengers rolls around, at which point they then proceed to have a great time fighting with a team of ridiculous, well-intentioned, violent thrill-seekers again and decide to make it a regular thing. “This is gonna be GREAT Buck, you’ll see.” “That’s what you said about World War II Steve.”

Not Really Just Friends {S.M}

You had literally no idea why on planet earth how in the world you had become friends with Shawn. Well, possibly just a little more than friends. But also, just friends. You had both had this discussion an abundance of times, he was busy and famous, and you were busy and not all that famous.

The reason you met was weird too. Like, it was at a frozen yogurt place. A literal frozen yogurt place and he thought you were hot, so he started to hit on you, rather poorly might you add, and you never let him live that one down. He really didn’t do a whole lot of hitting on girls. He was told to always be polite towards fans, but not flirty. Friendly, not cheeky. He was always told that no matter what, he cannot seem too cozy with a fan, or treat one anymore special than the next. All of his fans were equal, but he’d be lying through his teeth if he were to have said that he was never attracted to a fan. But rules were rules and they were made to be followed… But he broke them sometimes.

Even though he doesn’t consider you one of the occasions he has broken that rules. There have been many of those, girls he has whispered things to during meet and greets, times he has met a fan at a store and he asked her to coffee, when he would answer a question at one of those question and answers with something a bit more than friendly.

But you… well you were different.

He saw you at a frozen yogurt place back in his home town and you didn’t seem to know who he was, but how could you live in Canada and not know who Shawn Mendes was? Everyone know who Shawn Mendes was, and a lot of people knew Shawn Mendes. Like personally. You just didn’t know any of his songs other than the ones that littered all of the radio stations, and you even found a couple of them kind of annoying, and you didn’t wanna bother him, he was kind of a celebrity or whatever. But it doesn’t matter, he went out of his way to talk to you, and hit on you, and he said;

“Why would you get frozen yogurt, it’ll only melt cause you’re so hot.” Which, of course, he would never ever hear the end of. But ever since then, Shawn had a special place in your heart and you had one in his. The incidents with that one rule being broken were no more, because he had you. He knew he had you back at home, who he knew he loved, and he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his days with you by his side. Because he couldn’t think of life with anyone else after he met you. He found himself not caring that paparazzi were always taking photos of the two of you, and since a good bit of those were of the two of you hand in hand, it sure did look like you were dating.

Which you weren’t, but you also were. Whenever he was home, he spent a majority of his time with you, and when you had time off, you tried to go with him wherever it was he was going, and he never found himself attracted to any of the fans he came into contact with. He only wanted you.

But you weren’t one hundred percent sure. You didn’t know if Shawn was the only one for you, or even someone you could see yourself with. Yes, you loved him with every single bit of your heart, but the constant touring, and not to mention Shawn was kind of clingy and could often get needy, and you couldn’t go on tour with him was a struggle.

“What do you mean you don’t know?” Shawn threw his arms up in the air, only in his boxer shorts as he paced around your bedroom. He was home for the weekend, and you were kind of fooling around, when he said he loved you. He asked if you loved him back and you simply said you weren’t sure.

“Shawn, calm down it’s not like we are official or anything.” You crossed your arms over the blanket that was covering your completely naked chest.

“Oh, we aren’t a thing, at all?” He narrowed his eyes at you, which kind of scared you. You had seen him angry before, but you couldn’t really tell if he was angry. He looked a lot more hurt than anything. You hadn’t ever seen him this upset.

“No, I didn’t mean it tha-” He cut you off, shaking his head.

“Oh, but I think you did.” He continued to shake his head, folding his arms over his abdomen. He quickly went over to where his clothes had been discarded on the other side of your bed. He pulled his black jeans up from the floor and started to pull them onto his long legs, the legs yours were tangled up with only moments ago.

“Shawn, what are you doing?” You grumbled, putting your head in your hands. He had always gotten sensitive around the subject of your status, since he was obviously more invested than you were from an outsider looking in. But really, you loved him just as much.

“I’m going home.” He started as he buttoned his jeans. “I apparently,” He paused to grab his grey v-neck t-shirt and slip it over his head, “Don’t have any commitment here.”

You were completely speechless, you didn’t even quite get it that he had left your room until you heard the door shut rather loudly, seeing he didn’t care if your parents heard that you had him over late at night. They didn’t come and bother you though, because you sat there, half naked, sitting up in your bed, already missing him. You couldn’t lie down, the bed would smell like him. He wouldn’t answer if you called him, so you just sat there and you missed him. He had just left, and your skin tingled and ached to touch him again. It felt like only minutes had passed when you saw the sun start to peak through your windowpanes, and you hoped and prayed that everything would be fine now. You lied down, your spine aching and cracking as you flattened your back onto the cold mattress. It still smelled just like him.

After a couple of hours of a daze that wouldn’t really be considered a sleep, your phone buzzed on the bedside table. You instantly scrambled over, ignoring the fact that your top half was completely exposed. You grabbed your phone, and your heart skipped a beat when you saw Shawn’s name appear across the screen.

i’m doing a mini radio show concert thing with a meet and greet beforehand starting in like an hour @ Locally Canada. You can come if you want to, don’t know if that’s too much of a commitment for you.

You groaned, and pulled yourself out of bed, your whole body shivered as it was completely exposed aside from the panties Shawn had never gotten the chance to take off. You realize you had just about no time, so you quickly threw on a black skirt and tucked in a white button up and some tights with those black flats with cat faces on the toes you had gotten yourself as a christmas present, throwing your hair up in a top knot and not even bothering with makeup. You scurried down the stairs of your house, your family not yet awake as you made your way outside and to your car. As you pushed a key in the ignition, you whipped your phone out and decided to text him and tell him you were coming.

He read the message and didn’t respond. It bothered you, but you knew he was still pissed. Honestly, he had reason to be. The girl he was in love with had deadass just told him she may not even want to be with him in the long run, that would piss off everyone just a bit.

But Shawn decided to take it just a little bit too far.

You drove up to the radio station, striding over to the front, ready to say you were sorry and you would do anything to be with him, because really, you would. The idea scared you, but you knew for a fact that you loved him with all of your heart. You told the security guard your name and he let you inside, and you saw Shawn in the lobby, looking as handsome as ever, but he was talking with some other girl, obviously one of the radio station workers. She was considerably pretty as well, a lot shorter than him, which you knew was something he absolutely loved, since you yourself were a good bit shorter, but not as short as her. Her hair was blonde, and she was skinny and pretty and seemed to literally be throwing herself at him. Or, that’s what it looked like, you couldn’t really tell.

“Shawn?” You folded your arms over your chest, still a distance away from them. Shawn looked over at you, as if he expected your reaction. Which he did.

“Oh hey.” He smiled at you, instantly going back to his conversation with the radio station girl that you now hated more than anyone in the world, other than Shawn of course.

“Oh hey?” You grumbled under your breath, deciding that the only way to get back at Shawn was to play his little game. So you looked around the lobby for a moment, and by a complete act of god, your eyes were met with a fairly attractive desk worker, who seemed to just be taking phone calls and notes. But his arms looked pretty amazing in that blue button up, so you strode over to his desk, feeling Shawn’s eyes follow you from behind you, and sat on the edge. The boy from behind the desk looked up, and he was much more attractive than you initially thought, some might even say he was better looking than Shawn.

“Hey?” He chuckled, flashing a smile that was worth a million dollars. You were incredibly uninterested in this man, seeing as he looked about as boring and dull as cardboard and looked like a failed male model, regardless of the fact he was one of the most attractive men you had ever seen.

“How are you?” You smirked, kicking your legs a little, going back to your days in middle school drama club when they tried to teach acting techniques.

“I’m… Just fine?” He was saying everything as if he were taken totally off guard, it seemed like he was trying to be charming, but it didn’t work.

“What’s your name?” You started to fiddle with the sleeve of his shirt, knowing you were pushing this way too far.

“Ali?” The way he spoke literally gave you a headache, and your whole body was relieved when you felt two big hands wind their way around your waist.

“Will you excuse us?” You heard a familiar voice, and you knew exactly what you had done worked as Shawn basically yanked you off of the desk, and pulling you into one of the empty conference rooms. You saw he was literally fuming, his face bright red and the vein on his neck looked as if it were about to burst. “So what the actual fuck was that?” He snapped.

“I don’t know what you’re talking ab-” He cut you off.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. You can’t keep playing me like this, i’m fucking in love with you, and you can’t say you don’t want to be with me and then just go off an-” This time it was your turn to cut him off. You wrapped your arms around his neck, and pulled yourself onto your toes, pressing a soft kiss onto his lips. He instantly wrapped his arms around your waist, and hummed against your lips until you pulled away and pressed your feet back down against the ground, though he let out a small whimper.

“I wanna be with you, okay? I’m done with all this on again off again shit. We are together, okay?” You stated, playing with the ends of his hair just a little bit.

“Sounds good to me.”

General Ideas

Everyone’s riding uniforms includes a coloured accent from the games text message background (ie Ann’s cravat for dressage is pink. Also everyone looks so hot in their uniforms) The saddle blankets are also the same colour (ie Queen’s saddle blanket is dark blue)

Akira moves in with Sojiro Sakura, who owns a fair bit of land and equestrian centre with his adoptive daughter, Futaba, and their pet cat, Morgana

Upon arriving, Akira is put to work doing basic stable hand stuff under Sojiros eye, and meets Joker, a stallion that hasn’t been put to work for some time since the original owner abandoned him

Sojiro offers to coach Akira in the basics of riding, while Morgana and Zoro watch. He gets a bit more confident riding Joker and starts to take him out alone on trail rides

Morgana sits on Zoro’s back when out riding

Akira meets Ryuji and Ann, who moved their horses to aggist with Sojiro since he is a lot cheaper than other places

Ryuji is a former jockey who had an accident, so he’s now a barrel racer

Ann is a dressage and showjumper, but is also a model for equestrian clothing

The three get along and start to share their mutual dislike towards society, they go on trail rides together (with morgana and zoro tagging along.)

Ryuji hates his old coach, Kamoshida, for abusing him and horses, and Ann hates him for constantly hitting on her

Yusuke and Makoto move their horses in and get to know everyone

Yusuke is a freelance artist who spends his time drawing horses as well as being a show jumper/dressager

Makoto is an all-rounder whos training to become a mounted policeman

Yusuke and Akira hit it off, as do Ann and Makoto ‘,:)

The horses start a herd, and then a pony comes along, no one knows who it belongs to until Sojiro tells them he has a daughter who owns it

Futaba doesn’t do pony club and junior comps anymore since her mother passed away, so Sojiro wonders if the group could get her back into riding

Futaba also loves to dress up the horses and Ann is On Board™ with that

Haru shows up with the most perfect horse anyone has ever seen like wtf

Escaped her fiance, Ryuji offers comfort (they become a thingo)

Do I dare include the trash man? He could be a lit rival though

Shido used to own Joker but abandoned him because he wasn’t good enough

Akechi’s horse - Robin Hood (paddock name: Crow) a grey thoroughbred stallion

Car insurance for teens. Do I NEED to be listed on my parents policy?

My parents have triple A auto insurance and I have recently gotten my drivers license. I have tried to research the requirements for insurance by law on the California DMV website and the most concrete statement I found was some numbers that cover various damages and injuries (DMV website is not working properly so I cannot look it up). My parents insurance obviously covers the basic and more. However, my parents policy states that Any relative that has consent of the owner to use the insured vehicle is covered by this policy - These are not the exact words as I don't have the policy on me, but it is pretty damn close. In the definitions portion of the policy, it states a relative as anyone related by blood, and some other stuff. I am my parents son so I am obviously related by blood, thus their policy coverage extends on to me when they give me permission to use their vehicle. I did not find ANY California laws that required me to be on the policy. i only found information that said I only need that minimum coverage which my parents policy does provide. We did contact triple A about this and they did not give us a reasonable answer. All they said was that they WANT my parents to add me because THOSE ARE THE RULES. Im going to lay down what happened and I would appreciate your opinion. It started when my 2007 gs eclipse clutch gave out the dealership close to my house wasn't a very professional looking place when it came to their shop they mistreated the cars that where there and had old rusted cars parked in their lot. So, I did not want to get it repaired there, I made a big fuss with mitsubishi but after sitting the car in my lot for 2 months I lost my job and I had to get it fixed there anyway cause of warranty issues and I needed my car to look for another job i'm a truck driver that's why it took 2 months and my car had 7000 miles on it i hardly ever used it. I noticed that after I had it back the cruise control wasn't working I didn't take it back because of the fear of something worse happening to it. My mom suggested that I get repair by my cousins husband so my mom handed me her cell phone called him and told me to bring it in the morning because he worked all day til 7pm and if i couldn't get to him to leave the key under the plant in front of the garage door (that call was on 6-24-09). I tried to get there early enough (6-25-09) but i missed him and no one was home so I placed the key under the plant and left I told the police officer that I had made a call to him after dropping the key but the phone number to reach him was on my moms cell phone. I thought I did I couldn't remember because I came back a day later for the car. After I walked home I thought id leave it there a day so he could find the problem, since he gets home at 7pm. When I got there on 6-26-09 my car wasn't there and they said they never saw it there so i called the police to see if it was towed it wasn't and the key wasn't there either, police came over and took my statement but on the report he stated that the car was stolen on 6-26-09 and the phone number I used to call to tell them I was leaving the car there was written down wrong. The insurance company said that the inconsistencies where that I did not use my cell to make a phone call on the 6-24-09 or 6-25-09 I told them that i used my mothers cell phone in the oath recorded meeting they recorded my statement a week after i reported my car stolen and i failed to tell them i used my mothers cell phone but they didn't ask and I also told them I called when I placed the key under the plant but I was confused because I had called my cousin twice on 6-24-09. I never failed to make a payment on any of my bills and i have good credit score I'm in fact almost done with my car payment. They also brought to my attention that I tried to sell the car but i have proof that i've been trying to sell my car since 2008 and there was a buyer and i have his emails that offered to buy my car with a $1000.00 profit for me. please tell me what do think i should do about this situation?""
