Yes! “the effort is in the buying” is very real, not just in quality and style, but in shades! Especially if you, like me, don’t have a ...not a capsule wardrobe, exactly, but I’m constantly working on reducing my wardrobe and changing out my pieces, so things need to not only be high quality, they have to GO TOGETHER. I want versatile, high quality pieces to be 70% of my wardrobe.
So, for example, this is probably my favorite color to wear. I like many colors, but this is the best combination of, “I like it” and “it is very flattering to me”
(I know these are three separate colors, but you get me. Most things I own are closer to crystal teal, if I had to pick one)
So from there, you fan out to figure out, okay what looks good with this color? Here’s an off the cuff approximation of my fall wardrobe:
and my summer one:
This isn’t to suggest I own NOTHING outside of this color palette, but in general, this is what I stick to, because the majority of it goes with teal and EACH OTHER, making it easy to mix and match pieces for an outfit while allowing my favorite pieces to stay in rotation. This makes my wardrobe much more usefula nd investment in individual pieces more valuable.

Tag Game Response!
thank you for the tag Ciel (@incesthemes)!
Do you make your bed? I actually sleep on a couch (by choice) and so the only extent of making my bed is like, maybe folding the blanket sometimes so nope
What's your favorite number? Don't have one! I do find that I have a tendency to knock on things twice though that's more a compulsion than anything
What is your job? I work in a microbiology lab in a hospital. I promise you it's not as interesting as those words sound
If you could go back to school, would you? Yeah actually. I'm considering going back for a psychology degree for being a therapist, but I haven't been in a place to do so yet
Can you parallel park? Theoretically
A job you had that would surprise people? Uhhhh, I think my current job is the most surprising one I've ever had, and that's mainly cause most people don't know it exists
Do you think aliens are real? I'm the equivalent of agnostic towards the concept of aliens, the spiritual, all that stuff. I don't have a strong enough opinion to dismiss or agree with either direction, and since aliens or the concept thereof affect my life currently, I've never bothered to form a strong enough opinion to dismiss or agree with the concept
Can you drive a manual car? I can actually! My first car I owned was a manual and I haven't gone back since. They're fun and I like the expression on men's faces when they find out I can drive them
What's your guilty pleasure? Watching the incest show
Tattoos? I have a couple. I've got two quotes on my right arm and I just finger poked a white ivy vine on my left hand middle finger the other day. I will continue to get more, especially because I have access to a stick and poke kit now
Favorite Color? Teal! Specifically a teal that edges more towards green than blue (Fun fact, I've painted every room I lived in some form of teal up to when I was 22)
Favorite type of music? I could not tell you. I genuinely don't understand genres very well and I listen to music on a song by song basis and don't actually even know a lot of artists. I can tell you I prefer faster beats usually over slow and melodic, but don't have much of an answer beyond that
Do you like puzzles? Not in the way people normally think of them, but I like sorting information and figuring out solutions to things. Think like, math I guess. I like puzzles if they function like math
Any phobias? I wouldn't say I'm never afraid, but I don't think I genuinely am afraid of anything in the manner that would be able to be called a phobia
Favorite childhood sport? Swimming, in the form of getting in the water and it not being a contest. I don't really honestly enjoy sports much. Every once in a while I will get hit with the sudden compulsion to run and I'll get up in the middle of the night and just go running for 20-30 minutes until it goes away or I collapse in the grass, but I don't think that counts as a sport either
Do you talk to yourself? Yeah. I work in a lab alone multiple days a week, I sometimes forget I'm talking out loud actually
What movies do you adore? So I don't actually process visual media well honestly, it takes a lot of energy for me to focus in and put something on, so I don't actually watch movies much. Currently the only one coming to mind that I have actually rewatched several times is Pride and Prejudice the version with Kiera Knightley. But in general I just don't watch things unless somebody else puts it on
Coffee or tea? I do not understand why I would have to choose. I don't really consume much liquid in general and I don't require caffeine in my day to day life, so I really only drink coffee or tea if I feel like the taste, which is every once in a while for both.
First thing you wanted to be when you grew up? So apparently, according to a time capsule I opened in middle school, I wanted to be a "farmer living in poverty" growing up. Yes, the poverty was specified. Yeah, your guess is as good as mine
Urls are like names and I suck at those, so I'm honestly just gonna tag Nep and Hydra because I know you two's off the top of my head: @holyfreaks @overrated-sheep

Nine people I'd like to get to know better
Tagged by: @talshiargirlfriend
Last song: Ninja Sex Party - Do Math With U (https://tidal.com/browse/track/156931067)
I've been on an NSP kick for a little bit.
Favorite color: Kelly Green, and teal. Most of my RPG characters are some mix of green, white, and orange.
Last movie/TV show: Watched Clue with my spouse recently, and before that probably the Scott Pilgrim anime?
Sweet/spicy/savory?: Definitely sweet. Mixing a little spicy and savoury is good too, but if I had to pick one it'd be sweet, hands down.
Relationship status: "What if a wife guy wasn't married to a woman and wasn't a guy", the term my friends use is "spousebot". Beep boop.
Last thing I Googled: "Darkspore Resurrection Capsule". There's a game from the early 2010s made by the folks who made Spore that hasn't been playable for a long time, since the servers went down. I go check every once in a while if the effort to spin up a private server has gotten any further.
Current obsession: I'm always at least a little obsessed with Blaseball, though that's def gone down since the end-of-game announcement. Probably Worm at the moment, especially Danny Hebert. I flit between interests a lot, though.
Tag nine people: I'm going to be honest, the idea of tagging people in a poll like this fills me to the brim with social anxiety. 😅 So I'm not going to do that. 😅😅😅
#I don't think I've done one of these since Facebook required a college email#pretty sure that sentence will age me to DUST

Dream A Dazzling Paris Decor Theme
'Open the door to Paris, France, and the accolades that keep coming from worldly people who can't get enough of this fashionista city'
A spiritual place seemingly lost in time that holds the charm of history seeping through every stone bridge, cobbled street, and Herculean monument. We are fascinated with ancient lands and cities like Paris as it takes us on a ride through changes in architecture, fashion, and cultural ideals. Paris is a time capsule of recorded events with wars, revolutions, and kings who once reigned from the Chateau de Versailles. A star-lit haven of furnishings with an intentionally glamorous layout. This is how most view the French capital as a vision of loveliness and charm. Paris makes your heart sing and the melody lives on, long after you have experienced its magnetic pull on your heart. It's like a beautiful haunting that calls you to bring touches of it into your home. And here the options are endless as Paris is like fairy dust you can sprinkle in any room Doing things our way makes us a leader in our own lives and how we furnish our interiors speaks volumes about our confidence to dress up our homes in a way that excites our senses.
'Dream A Dazzling Paris Decor Dream'
You can start with hanging images of the Eiffel Tower often depicted in colors like pink teal, black, and white, or jazz up the bedroom with Duvets and Comforters decorated romantically with Parisian flair. With so much history and ornate opulence creating a Paris theme has never been easier. Imagine coming home to your little piece of Paris heaven. It could be a shower curtain with red accents on black and white to match your favorite color lipstick. Or an Eiffel Tower metal table to enhance your living room look. You can introduce Paris to your home with Paris cafe pictures for the kitchen or wall decals that resonate with this European city. The sky is the limit and if you are a Monuments fan there are plenty of classy prints with favorites like the Eiffel Tower and London's Big Ben. The Parisians are the Kings and Queens of grandeur and elegance. You only have to think of fashion names like Coco Chanel - Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior plus movie stars like Audrey Hepburn and her infamous quote "Paris Is Always A Good Idea" to appreciate why this city of (light and eternal love) captures the hearts of so many. There is no doubt Paris is a cosmic star and adored by people of all ages.

LOHLA SPORT Unveils Bond-Inspired ‘007’ Collection
LOHLA SPORT Unveils Bond-Inspired ‘007’ Autumn-Winter Collection LOHLA SPORT's latest collection for the autumn-winter season is the premium "007" line, showcasing stylish and feminine golf-lifestyle apparel. The collection draws inspiration from the classic aesthetic of Bond movies and features daring, flattering, and alluring looks for the modern woman. The 007 capsules boast chic and elegant European designs infused with a touch of feminine charm from Los Angeles. They consist of matching tops, bottoms, skorts, outerwear, and accessories. Available in sizes XXS to XXL, the refined cuts flatter the figure without being overly provocative. We meticulously source high-quality fabrics from all over the world to ensure optimal athletic performance. The 007 collection from LOHLA SPORT combines comfort and style, perfect for active play. The brand is leading a significant "Golfleisure" movement, similar to Lululemon's "Athleisure" trend. The 007 capsules, which are named after Bond movies and inspired by Bond Girls, combine stylish fashion with an adventurous lifestyle: - Skyfall – Transitions dramatically from Spring to Fall with bright Flyboy and Aurora colors for awe-inspiring looks. The Skyfall print is lively and fun while the weather is still warm. - Diamonds are Forever – Plays up the new neutrals taking center stage on the catwalk with the popular Golf Fitness Pull-On Pant in a mocha tone and the debut of The Bond Girl Jacket in a rich Fall hue that is cozy on the course and helps fight off assassins. - For Your Eyes Only – Fuses the color of the season, fuscia – “lipstick” in LOHLA SPORT parlance – and cocktail orange with black and white bases for a dramatic entry to Fall. - Casino Royale – Takes the brand’s classic red, white and navy group on turn for the Nordic as Alpine ski inspirations abound in All-American coloring. Seize the day on the course (or perhaps gaming at the tables) with two printed skorts or pair them with tights and boots for winter. - Golden Eye – Details white and peacock (dark teal) outfits with rich, gold trims, perfect for being the Bond-like hero or villainess during group rounds of golf this Fall and pre-holiday. Lisa O'Hurley, the founder and CEO of LOHLA SPORT, created the 007 collection as a tribute to her rounds of golf with Sean Connery, the actor who played James Bond in six films between 1962 to 1973. "He was dashing in every way," she says. "It was 100 percent fun, and from that day I knew I'd create a refined Bond-esque collection for women who love classy-meets-sporty looks." "Our 007 designs pack star power yet are timeless," she says. "There's a bit of devilish flirtation in every piece to reimagine you in true Bond Girl style on and off the golf course." Complementing 007 capsules and worn stand-alone are popular, year-round core products, including: - The Golf Fitness Pull-On Pant – Worn stand-alone (akin to a workout tight) or under skorts in the fall for added warmth and décor, it is purposely thicker, becoming the ideal golf-yoga pant. Back pockets make it country club appropriate. - The “Very Pant” – The four-pocket, full, four-way stretch pant is offered in several colors, including core colors of navy, black, white, red and other Fall favorites. The J. Peterman character in the TV hit “Seinfeld” inspired it, indicating specificity of the surreal or sublime. The famous line “The Very Pant I’ve been searching for all my life” is part of sitcom lore. LOHLA SPORT can be found in over 250 high-quality golf shops and women's boutiques. In addition, ESPN, Forbes, GOLF Magazine, Golfweek, NBC Sports, and other notable publications have given praise to the brand for its innovative designs created by O'Hurley and Paul Rees, a renowned designer formerly from Burberry and Aquascutum. Annika Sorenstam, the legendary golfer, exclusively wears LOHLA SPORT. For more information: www.lohlasport.com Read the full article

“Several, but I do not know if you would be able to answer them; of course, they’re pertaining to my current situation and not the facility itself. I must say, this is quite the impressive lab for human standards.” She said, glancing around the room full of monitors showing Ultra Energy readings and potential fluctuations within spacetime. This place was somewhat a home away from home, with all the familiar, albeit severely outdated, technology lying around.
She placed her luggage on the ground and began to take out a cylindrical capsule with a peculiar object inside: that of an egg. Somehow on her way here, a random Pelipper dropped off an unfamiliar Pokémon egg without warning and now she has to watch over it in addition to trying to have a deeper understanding regarding her status as a Naganadel hybrid. The egg was a faded teal color with a striped pattern going down its center.
After doing so, she glanced over at Nori. “Do you mind taking me to your quarters? I think I need some time to rest.”
Closed rp starter with @pandorias-box
It was much later into the evening than Nori thought it would be and even though he had spent much of the “daylight hours” training for this moment, he still wasn’t sure if he was ready.
“I will not hurt you” Pandoria had said. Nori knew this. The issue was that he knew it just like he knew that the dreams couldn’t hurt him, or that Cassius would be fine. It didn’t matter how much he heard it, that fear still wouldn’t go away. But it is different this time, he thought, Pandoria’s safety is on the line. Someone needs you.
It was Tod’s hand on his shoulder that brought his train of thought to an end. They had arrived at the Pokemon Center and Tod was already walking him through the automatic doors. Nori carefully scanned the room for that familiar blue and white uniform. There she was, sitting on one of the benches, right there, in front of him.
Tod immediately yelled and waved. They were close enough that Nori could tell something was off but not close enough that he could have prepared himself for when she looked up at him. It might have been the bright lights, or just the sudden movement, but Nori’s gut reaction took over. His mind swarmed with thoughts and memories.
He saw flashbacks of a Buzzwole tearing its way through a wormhole. He saw a blinding kick of a Pheramosa as he noticed the ache in his braced arm. He saw his partner’s face as she carried him to safety. He even saw something much earlier, much more terrifying, as he tripped on his own feet to back up. Run! His instincts screamed, Protect yourself!
Tod caught him just before he hit the ground. Nori took a deep breath and got back up on his feet. With Tod holding him still he forced his gaze back to Pandoria. The scales, the color, the- the. No. Not today. To after all he went through to help her.
“Alola Pandoria. I am… fine, just some unpleasant memories coming back for both of us. I have prepared the room I am staying in to accommodate both of us until we can figure this out.”

ok spitballing here: what if those capsule things on link's hip are kind of like the spirit vessels in botw.
there appears to be room for 8 of those capsules in that holster thing
assuming we have 7 standard dungeons in totk rather than the shrines of botw.
and assuming there could possibly be a tutorial area similar to the great plateau.
what if link collects one of those capsules at the end of the tutorial, and one from each dungeon. similar to spirit vessels but far fewer of them.
which could mean they're either some kind of character upgrade similar to the function of the spirit vessels, or maybe they're the macguffins we need to track down to repair the master sword, or some other sort of story object.
considering they're the same teal color as the ghost arm thing/link's new right arm, maybe they have something to do with that as well. power ups for the arm's abilities maybe? or maybe they indicate how many times you can use those abilities before needing to recharge the arm's power somehow.
i don't know but tbh i'm thinking of going into a coma for like 8 months so that i can find out asap.
edit: spirit orbs i mean.

another season has passed, the pleasant winds of spring has shifted to the basking heat of summer, and as the seasons change there brings the smell of opportunity, the taste of something different, new and perhaps exciting, and as such the Raven has felt inspired to greet the occasion with a plethora of fresh colours from her ink collection (this is my fancy way of asking raven if she’s got any new inks to show us please?)🥰
:000 I really enjoy these types of asks, as it gives me the chance to get creative~ so thank you very much for sending it, Anon!
You can read more about Miss Raven’s various enchanted inks here!
"This year, I paid a visit to the Scalding Sands to view their annual fireworks festival. I was very inspired by the rich history and culture of Silk City, its markets, and by the holiday itself, so I decided to model this summer collection of enchanted inks after them. I have also brewed a few inks in honor of the Star Sending ceremony, and various others inspired by more general summertime experiences."
Silk Swathe, a soft blue base with sheer veins of color shooting through it. Orchid purple, electric yellow-green, and bright turquoise tangle, yet somehow also maintain their own unique forms, like swathes of silk weaving together in the sky.
Spice of Life, a deep brown, leaning warm, and flecked with red and orange particles. There are larger bits floating in it, sticks of snapped cinnamon and star-shaped cloves of anise. If you lift it to your nose, you are greeted with several ground spices, which produce an earthen, comforting smell--reinvigorating you with a fondness for life.
Bizarre Bazaar, a kaleidoscopic formula, shifting constantly in the light. Uncorked, voices drift out from the ink, calling you to look, to test, to buy. When you replace the cap, the voices still and coalesce in the colors again.
Food from Afar, a dainty cream decorated with dots--capsules containing pure, concentrated flavors. Crushed, the taste and aroma of a particular dish released and spread across the paper like upon the tongue and coloring the cream into something new. Green for silk melon, yellow for starfruit, red for shawarma, blue for delightfully stretchy ice-cream... and many more.
Sky Blossoms and Sparklers, an inky blue fading into sunset, with periodic bursts of light coloring it. The pops released heat, warming your hands and shaking the bottle that held the ink.
Waterways, a clear, sheer aqua blue, complete with tiny white beads to replicate bubbling and foaming. Plain, at first glance, but its simplicity is its strength. Loaded into a pen or on the nib of a quill, it works wonderfully, even for beginners. A smooth ink, flowing like the most pristine of waters.
Unwinded Time, a crimson kept in an hourglass-shaped bottle. As the ink slowly trickles into the other side, it transitions into a cool blue. Left untouched for an hour, it becomes yellow. In direct sunlight, an opaque black--by direct moonlight, an equally as opaque white. (“Y-Yes, I’m aware the proper phrase would be ‘Unwound Time’, but allow me some poetic license!” Raven huffs.)
Diamond Sky, a navy littered with silver sparkles and glitter. Shake it, and all the particles seem to shimmer in unison, as if daring onlookers to soar through and pluck each one of its silvery stars out.
Dragon in Jasmine, a deceptive lime green that sheds its original skin in favor of a teal hide every few seconds. There is a beautiful white flower floating in the bottle, imparting the lovely aroma of jasmine.
Wish Come True, an ink the color of daydreams--pink, lilac, and baby blue, with a slight pearlescent shimmer. It radiates a faint light when you hold it close to your heart, as if seeking your innermost desires.
Dark and Stormy Ceremony, a story blue beset by viscous grey blobs--one of which is distinctively whale-shaped. The ink smells of ozone, telling of thunder and a coming storm.
Real Boy, a cool and metallic silver, bits of it lighting up with cobalt. When the blue light fades, the silver turns into a warm and flushed peach. Alas, when the light comes again, it’s back to silver.
Bop to the Top, a color kept in a madly bouncing bottle. It rapidly runs through the full spectrum of blues, as if in a rush. (Raven looks a bit nervous and says, “I’d recommend keeping this one under lock and key--it’s always attempting to fly off the handle... but play it some music, and it will bop along to the beat instead of attempting to launch into the sky.”)
