There's a dialogue that happens where Rasmodius says he's keeping an eye out for an apprentice.

It's this one if you were wondering. My headcanon is that in the future, Jas will become the Wizard's apprentice and eventually the new wizard of the valley, as opposed to Abigail. She's quiet and studious and is wary of many things, but also adventurous in her own way. These are all great traits for a wizard. Besides, she lives maybe a ten minute walk away from Rasmodius' home, and I can guarantee she's snuck up there and checked the place out at least once.

Also, imagine how adorable that story would be!! This little girl meets a strange man and eventually endears herself to him through her curiosity and unexpected wisdom, he begins teaching her about his craft, she becomes a wizard! Jas and Rasmodius would be the best little sunshine girl and grumpy uncle pairing ever. And then he might start connecting with the rest of the townsfolk because Jas keeps spotting him at events and dragging him out to see things and under the circumstances he can't really avoid meeting people.
