🌸 Ask box open WOOOOO, could I ask for Beidou, Diluc and others of your choice, with someone who is exceptionally gifted with animals, and loves nerding out about them🌸
zoology
Warning -> SFW (Beidou - long hair mentioned)
Character X GN Reader | anthology
Includes: Beidou, Diluc, Ganyu
Beidou
She’s already so impressed with you - how could she not be considering how the two of you met
When she saw you fighting a group of smugglers on the docks of Liyue, your hands gripping onto the cages of the animals they were trying to take with them - not caring for your safety in the slightest and taking hit after hit in a desperate attempt to shield the animals inside
At that moment, she became your shield - your barrier between the harsh reality of the world and promised to keep you safe
That bright smile behind bruises and cuts as you watched the small creatures find their freedom once again was enough information for her to know what kind of person you were
Now, every time she returned to Liyue, she was excited to see your face or the sanctuary you had built from the ground up -- you were a human she wished to see more of
“Y/N? You in here?” She called out to you, her hand pushing past the beads which separated the outside from the in. Animals ran around her feet and, as carefully as she could, she stepped through them.
“A!H! Beidou??” Your voice called out to her, a crash sounding somewhere in the distance and a small curse following right after. When she found you, the state of your hair - frazzled and half-hazardly placed on top of your head - the long coat you liked to wear pooling beneath your feet as you worked to pick up the items that had fallen, and the reassuring expression you gave to the startled animals around you made her head swim and mouth stretch.
“Little friends, hold on. That was rather frightful, wasn’t it?” The tone you used was sweet and kind and she watched as a small fox stepped toward you before pressing its nose carefully against yours. “That’s right, see nothing to be worried about.”
When you caught sight of her, the grin that plastered across your face reached all the way into your eyes. “Need some assistance?” Beidou asked, extending her hand out toward you.
“I’ll always take some help from my favorite captain.”
Beidou would often bring you lost or injured animals - it was like you had a knack for helping them recuperate and on the days when she was around to see you release them back into the wild, well the energy that radiated off of you was stronger than a swing of her claymore
The knowledge that you had about them shocked her, enlightened her, and made her understood why they were so calm when near you -- to have that level of love and compassion for the creatures of the world meant your heart must be as pure as gold
Ganyu
Just like you, Ganyu has a high affinity to care for the creatures of this world. She has vowed to protect them just as much as you have, and her spirit feels kindred to your own -- like two wandering souls who found each other in a chaotic world
It was after a ‘not so eventful’ sparring match with the adeptis Xiao that she found you - quickly, she made her way to offer you assistance and when she found you holding onto an injured animal with tears in your eyes … she wanted to know more, so much more about you
The two of you raced off to get some aid, the small creatures shook the whole time in your arms, it scratched and bit at you - she could easily see the marks on your skin - but you continued to reassure it of its safety, never once did you react violently or alarmed at its behavior, and after some time it calmed down … it found a home with you and from that point on never left your side
The apartment which you decorated in the themes of the animals which you took in, or who visited you on a regular day, felt more like home than anything she’d ever seen -- the open windows, the coming and going of beings whose freedom was all their own, and the space you created for them was everything to her kind heart
The items in her hands were getting heavy, but she continued her way over the bridge knowing that the strain would soon be alleviated. The walk to your home was long, but not challenging and soon she found herself strutting down the path only to find you standing outside in the sunlight.
You were sitting on a small bench, one that you’d find tossed out by some store owner and had worked hard to bring home. Birds flocked to you, some resting on your head, others bouncing around your feet or over your thighs. They were eagerly eating up the crumbs of food that fell to the ground in even intervals.
“You must have flown so far to reach me.” The way your voice sounded brought comfort to all who heard it. A kind finger brushed against the chest of a bird who had settled onto your shoulder and when you pulled away it preened its feathers and made a soft chirping sound.
The birds took flight as Ganyu approached, their upset screams sounding as they settled onto the roof of your home. “Pleasant greetings.” Ganyu bowed, her head dipping slightly before returning to its normal place.
“Hiya!” You leaped from your spot and made your way toward her with unbound energy. “I didn’t expect you.”
“I uh - I brought you some things from the market.”
“Oh wow! How generous, thank you.” You reached for the extended back and let the straps rest over your arm. “Are you busy?”
“N-no, I have the day ---!” With gusto, you grabbed her hand and lead her toward the house. When you looked back at her it was like looking into the brightest star and Ganyu wondered how she got so lucky to have met you on that fateful day.
She learned much from you - like an endless wealth of knowledge you shared with her fact after fact and no matter how unique the animal, you still knew so much about it
There were many days where the two of you would just sit out on your porch and chat about the world outside
Nature and all its creations were so fascinating to you that it seemed you had lived much longer than one lifetime
Diluc
It's not that he … hated animals it was more that they never seemed to get along well with him. He couldn’t understand how someone could be so well-liked by the creatures that seemed to despise his very existence
“Just … If you’d only just leave, then we both wouldn’t be in this situation.” He called to the stray cat that had lodged itself in the corner of his bar. How it managed to get onto the upper shelves he would never understand, all that he knew was it wasn’t proper to have a cat as a patron.
He reached up to grab it but pulled his hands away when it hissed violently at him. “I can handle abyss mages, drunkards, and all manner of situations … yet it seems I am bested by a simple cat.” He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he contemplated his next steps.
There was a ringing at the front entrance and he turned toward the sound only to catch sight of you illuminated by the sunlight. “Hey there.” You smiled at him but he was much too irritated to return the gesture. “Your face is .. worse than normal.”
“I have a problem I cannot solve.”
“What is it?” You settled into the barstool, your arms crossing about your chest as you eyed him curiously.
“There is an unwanted guest here today, I and cannot get them to leave.” Your expression turned to confusion until you tracked the pointed finger to the corner of the bar.
“OH! A kitty!” Exclaiming, you immediately ran around to his side, not caring in the slightest of the sign that said ‘employee’s only.’ Grabbing the stool under the counter, you carefully stepped your way onto it and extended your hand to the trembling little one.
“Be careful, it’s quite viole --” In a matter of seconds, the cat had leaped into your arms and was softly purring away. Its face was in utter bliss as you gave it scratches under its chin. Diluc was stunned, nearly gobsmacked at the quickness of its trust toward you.
“Animals just like me.”
“So it would seem …”
There are people in this world that have an unnatural ability to create trust in seconds and you were one of them -- something about the aura you gave off, the energy that spilled from every fiber of your being told those around you there was no need to be distrustful of you -- and Diluc learned that early on
Not only were you able to tame the animals around you, but you tamed his unsteady heart --- he felt … comfortable, more like himself when you were around and was often drawn to your side when he didn’t expect it
The only problem was that you also drew animals to you - and most of them were quite protective of the space at your side, if he wanted to stay there, he was going to have to learn to relax a bit
Though it’s quite fun so see how tense he gets when they land on him … at least he always had you and his trust hawk to keep him company (if he could manage those relationships, he could manage a few more)

Your Aunt and Uncle had had enough of you. They were fed up with your lack of female decorum and your absolute insistence to star gaze, associate with male aeronauts and start fires from chemistry experiments gone awry. But you couldn't help yourself. After the scandal of the woman who attempted to join the Chemistry Society a few years back, you had been forever changed. Women could do anything and you were intent on grabbing that elusive gold ring. If that meant attending boisterous underground resistance meetings, or not wearing your corset, then so be it.
Unfortunately, your family did not see it that way. To them, you were a wild woman who had no place in decent Victorian society.
One gloomy autumn evening, when your uncle returned from the gentleman's club, he sat both you and your aunt down at the dining room table for a talk.
Your uncle then gave you a choice.
Well, it was a choice between scylla and charybdis, but a choice nonetheless.
You were either to be turned out into the street to fend for yourself, with no money and no prospects and definitely no husband, or you were to travel to London to be kept, re-educated and made acceptable to be returned to society by a pair of reputable brothers who promised to produce reputable ladies.
What could you do, but agree to the latter, as the former was a nightmare you never wanted to experience.
So you made the long involuntary train-trek cross country to London.
The man who met you at the train station was tall, and slim with a well-manicured moustache that curled up at the ends in the most fashionable way. When he reached for your single suitcase and turned to walk away, you followed without protest.
**
Baker Street was a short narrow avenue that seemed unnecessarily busy for so early in the morning, and when the Hansom slowed, your companion opened the door and hopped out. He offered his gloved hand, which you took and followed him to the ground.
The cab rode off and gently taking you by the arm, the man guided you across the road. He walked up the steps to a dark painted door with the numbers 221b etched on a half-moon of glass above it.  He led you inside and up the stairs to a room at the end of a long corridor.
It was a well-appointed room. Against the wall was a large bed with a patchwork cover flanked by two low dark wood tables upon which sat twin lamps with beaded green lampshades. To the left, a tall window brought in the hazy morning light and illuminating the small writing desk beneath it.  There was also a large wardrobe stood in one corner opposite a bookshelf which was crammed with books.
'Your room, for the duration of your stay. I expect that it will be maintained without clutter.'
He then looked at you and slowly perused your form. You felt scandalised! No man had ever dared make his inspection of your body so plain before. Scandalised, yes, but a slow simmer of heat in your belly belied your inner outrage.
He humphed, and his  eyes moved to meet yours again.
'Sloppy,' he said. 'That you expect to be taken seriously, dressed like this is insulting.'
You opened your mouth and he lifted his brows, waiting for you to speak.
'I expect, sir, for you to watch your tongue when addressing me.'
He laughed quietly.
'My brother will be home shortly,' he said ignoring your protest. 'I believe you will be spending the evening in his company. Granted, he is less strict than I am, so don't get used to his...'
The man pinwheeled his hand in the air as if searching for the most appropriate word, but the opening and then the closing of the front door distracted him.
'Ah,' he murmured. 'He's come home early. Please wash thoroughly and change your clothes. I expect that you have something better than this?'
You narrowed your eyes.
'I will give you one hour and then come downstairs and into the study for inspection. The study is to the right at the bottom of the stairs. Have you... questions?'
'Do you intend to stand here and watch me wash and dress?'
He smiled and wordlessly turned to leave you to your task.
'We'll break you of that attitude,' he promised and closed the door behind him.
You wavered on your feet and collapsed on the fainting couch at the foot of the bed. You were breathless, excited, astounded that you were aroused by the man's quiet dominance.
'This is ridiculous girl!' you chided yourself aloud. 'This whole thing is ridiculous.'
But at least you were in London. You had promised your aunt and uncle that you would be 're-educated' and that you were going to come home the niece they always wanted so that you could be married off to the local farmer's son. What they didn't know, was that you were going to use the little stipend they'd provided and run away into the arms of the big city.
In the meantime, this was what you needed to do to get to where you needed to go.
You got up, stripped out of your travel clothes and inspected the pitcher and basin on the wash stand in the corner. There was water in the pitcher and a clean cloth hanging on the railing. There was also a lump of lanolin soap sitting on the side of the basin and you went about washing the dirt from your travels off of your skin. You didn't bother with a corset, or your stockings. You merely shrugged into your chemise, dress and shoes and went down to the study.
You stood at the closed door, humming with excitement and terror. What if this brother was a hunchback, with a mutilated face and was only gentle because his looks terrified everyone. What if he was old and decrepit and smelled of liniment! You wrinkled your nose at the thought and opened the door.
The study was beautiful, quiet and a fire burned in the small hearth. The walls were covered with dark tapestries and old maps. Books and newspapers were stacked everywhere, but it did not appear to be done in a chaotic manner. There was an order to this room and your heart clenched when your eyes fell on the man who was rising from the high wing-backed chair.
If Gods walked the earth, on a regular basis, you would not have been surprised by his appearance. He too was tall, like his brother, broad across the chest with a narrow waist and sturdy thighs.  He was in his shirtsleeves with a high starched white collar and dark brown tweed waistcoat and matching dress trousers.
And the curls. Oh the soft mass of chocolatey brown curls were stylish and clipped short and nicely complimented his handsome chiselled face.
'Turn around, please,' he said, his voice all honey and milk and you obeyed immediately.
'Face me again.'
You did so and he approached, hands clasped behind his back. He shook his head.
'You know this is unacceptable, don't you.'
It wasn't a question.
This wasn't how it was supposed to go, you thought. You had practised on the long train ride to London. You knew exactly how you were going to respond and exactly what you were going to say. But your mind had gone blank and only silence came out of your sweet quivering mouth.
You lowered your gaze.
His dark shoes were buttoned neatly and had been shined carefully. He was obviously a man who cared about his appearance.
'I expect things from you, when you're under my roof. This shabbiness and unruly nature will not be permitted and if you continue to pursue these avenues, you will be...'
He trailed off, and began to walk in a slow circle around you, prowling, like a sleek beast and you couldn't help feeling helpless.
Like you were prey.
He stopped after one revolution and stood at your back. He was so close that the heat and scent of him engulfed you. You closed your eyes, and sweat broke out across your upper lip and brow.
He 'humphed', sounding just like his brother and stuck a finger against your side. You didn't dare squirm away from his examination and you held yourself taut.
'No corset,' he said, finding you soft and unrestrained beneath your clothes. 'And I wager, no stockings or combinations.'
You were silent and it seemed that the very silence was a living creature, pricking your skin.
'Answer me.'
'No, none of that.'
He took in a long breath and let it out slowly.
'Upstairs, now. Gather your undergarments and bring them here.'
You turned so fast that you nearly banged into him. But you managed to scurry round him, and dart up the stairs as fast as your legs beneath your full skirts would carry you. You blindly grabbed everything that you had and nearly tumbled back down the stairs in your haste to please this man, this stranger, who within moments of meeting him made you want to drop to your knees and worship his masculinity.
He was still standing in the same place where you left him, back straight, head up, elegant hands clasped behind his back.
Out of breath, you stood before him, arms full of undergarments and he smiled. That smile took your breath away. He directed you to dump your clothes on the nearby desk.
'Now,' he began, scholarly. 'The makings of a society appropriate lady, begins at her skin. Do you understand?'
You swallowed hard and nodded.
'Good. Now, remove your clothing. We have to start from the skin.'
There was heat in his voice, filled with a demand that brooked no argument, and with trembling hands, you unbuttoned your waistcoat, unpinned your skirt and shrugged out of your rough collared shirt until you stood there bare beneath your chemise.
You worked your hands together in front of you feeling damp between your legs and ready to show him everything that was private about you.You unlaced the chemise at the collar and let it fall.
He looked at you for a long time, appreciating you, drinking you in and he was very obviously pleased with you.
He pointed to the combinations lying in a heap on the desk.
'Combinations.'
Your combinations were in two pieces so you stepped into the split bottoms and pulled on the top.
'Now corset.'
You went back to the table. You had two corsets, and you looked to him for his opinion.
'Blue,' he said. 'It laces in the back.'
Normally, as you dressed yourself, your corsets (when you wore them) laced in the front. But this one, he chose purposefully. He wanted to have control over dressing you.
The blue one was already partially laced so all you had to do was pull it over your head and hold it in place. You turned your back to him and waited. He began to slowly tighten your laces, starting from the top and working his way down, one after the other after the other he pulled the narrow fabric through the eyelets closing the boned corset around you, trussing you like a tart and stealing your breath.
The corset was tight, but not overly so, just enough to make you realise that you liked it. He tied the remainder of the cord round your waist and tucked in the excess.
'Will you take it off me when it's time?' you breathed, lightheaded with arousal.
And he hummed a soft response.
Then followed your simple cream and blue coloured dress, which you stepped into with his help. It buttoned up the back and he took his time doing so.
After what seemed an eternity, he stepped away from you and mourning the loss of his heat, you watched him walk to the chair, turn and sit down.
'Come here, and bring your stockings and ribbon.'
Like a puppy, you followed and stood at his knee.
He took the stockings and thin blue ribbons and laid them across his lap.
'Right foot,' he murmured and patted the spot on his thigh where he wanted you to put it. 'Balance yourself on the chair if needed.'
You put a hand on the top of the wing back and sighed softly when he rolled up the first stocking and slid it on your foot and up your leg. You bit your lip, but you couldn't look away from the deft fingers that trailed fire along your skin. He tied the ribbon just below your knee and folded the top of the stocking over it.
'Left.'
You switched legs and he repeated the process, only this time after he had tied the ribbon and folded the stocking down, he held your calf with both hands and looked up at you.
'Now you are finished. Is there anything that I did that you did not understand?'
You shook your head, not trusting your voice to come out as anything but a squeak. He nodded to acknowledge your answer, paused, and then slid one hand up your calf, to your thigh and over the material of your combinations to where they split to reveal your tender sex. He lightly brushed his fingertips over your naked mound and you made a noise that was quite unbecoming of a society lady. Clapping a hand over your mouth, you did the only thing you ever wanted to do the moment you laid eyes on him; you widened your legs.
'I prefer an unruly woman,' he said, sliding one finger into your slick wet cunt. 'I think they have spirit.'
Whining, you grabbed onto the other side of the chair and leaned on it for support. He stroked your clit slowly, carefully, pushing back the swollen little hood and pinched it between his fingers. You squeezed your eyes shut and stars burst against the darkness. You were going to scream if he continued.
'Please,' you whispered, jerking your hips forward, encouraging his further exploration. 'Please... just please!'
He slid his fingers out of you and with his eyes still on your, he put those same fingers into his mouth.
A cry of frustration escaped you. You hiked your skirts and climbed onto his lap, giving him just enough room to unbutton the opening of his trousers and draw out his leaking cock. You took him in hand and he grabbed your hips and pressed back into the chair as you positioned yourself enough to sink slowly down onto him.
You leaned back into his hands, tipping your chin up and moaning loudly, voluptuously, clenching tightly around him, circling your hips to feel all of him filling you completely. He groaned quietly, much more subdued, but no less aroused and he looked up just as you looked down at him. You grabbed his exquisite face between your hands and kissed him, lapping eagerly into his delectable mouth, letting your body rise and fall as your cunt greedily devoured him.
You pushed your fingers into his soft curls, and held his head up, kissing and biting at his plush lips, riding him slowly at first, and then faster as the crescendo of desire and lust and pleasure crested then exploded inside you. Every part of you clamped down hard on him and you rocked and back and forth, milking the shuddering orgasm out of him.
It took a moment before the two of you finally relaxed from your shared high. Still holding his face, you kissed his cheeks and his forehead and his lips over and over until his softening cock slipped out of you. You sat back on his thighs and imagined his cum leaking out of you and onto your combinations.  You giggled at the dirty thought.
'I'm Sherlock,' he said after a long silence, looking up to meet your gaze.
'I'm... smitten,' you answered.
Maybe a little re-education wasn't such a bad thing.
-End
I hope you enjoyed it. Please like, share comment reblog all that good stuff. :)

an insight into forever {poe dameron x reader}

Poe Dameron had a tendency to not think before he spoke.
It was bad at the best of times - and it only got worst when he was around.
Worst, because you were the love of his life. Worst, because you were the most beautiful human being he’d ever had the pleasure of laying his eyes on. Worst, because he was completely and utterly obsessed you and worst, he’d let you go. He’d done a lot of stupid things - really, really stupid things - but allowing your relationship to reach a better end took the cake. Heck, it baked the cake and threw it into the fucking ceiling fan. Left splatters all up the wall and on the carpet and over his heart. Stained his heart with marks of your relationship, destined to keep him trapped in your unwitting grips until he met his untimely demise, probably in cockpit of an X-Wing (refer back to the really, really stupid things.)
He’d been through a couple break ups but this felt like the be-all-and-end-all. You’d given back his jumpers and jackets and belongings that he’d left in your room, but you still held onto a few tiny pieces of Poe’s heart. It was like a subtle, permanent grip on his brain; he occasionally thought about you but was always painfully aware that he’d let go of the best person in the galaxy. You were a once in the lifetime thing, like winning the lottery or finding gold at the bottom of a rainbow. Both of those were things he’d willingly forfeit in a second if it meant having you back.
So, you probably get the point: Poe was sad, your break-up was bad and you were a little mad (that was a rhyme Finn came up with to summarise the events of your relationship’s bitter demise to anyone who asked). It had been a few months, and you were both finally at the point where you could hang out as a group of five friends with it only being slightly awkward. It had only taken a minor intervention from Rey, Finn and Rose to get you to acknowledge one another again, but it was the first step to being friends. That’s what you’d been before, and if you could just set aside your differences, perhaps you could be there again.
The five of you always made a point to hang out together on a Friday. Your jobs in the Resistance took up every waking second during the week, so it was strictly marked in your calendar as friend time and you would all be there without fail. Usually, you found yourselves in a small cantina in one of the little villages a few miles out from the base on Ajan Kloss. It was the one day a week that things actually felt a little normal; just five young friends and some alcohol, laughing together and having a good time.
There was always something lingering in the air between you and Poe -- stolen glances and sneaky looks, and an atmosphere that paid ode to a million unsaid things and a plethora of unfinished conversations. Arguments that never reached conclusions and hearts that never quite healed; yours nor his. To force it all into a box and slam it shut and to process that hurt with proper closure was holding you back. Clinging onto your shoulders with a mighty grip that prevented you from truly moving on.
‘So, that cute mechanic asked about you today.’ Rose’s voice pulled your attention away from the pilot and back to the painfully Poe-free reality in which you found yourself.
‘He did?’ You blinked in surprise.
‘You did go on a date last week without calling him back.’ She reminded you. ‘He wasn’t bothered. I think he got it - everyone gets a bit busy in this line of work, right?’
Yeah, because that’s why you hadn’t replied to his 27 text messages.
‘I didn’t realise you were even dating again.’ Finn observed, eyes briefly flickering to his best friend. ‘I mean, not that it’s a bad thing, it’s just-’
‘- Finn.’ You cut him off. ‘It’s fine. Poe and I are friends now, right?’
Poe simply looked up, dark eyes shifting from his half-finished drink. He didn’t say anything for a moment, instead giving you a look that emanated the vibe he’d rather swim naked through the seas of Hoth than answer than question. It wasn’t until Finn cleared his throat that he pulled away from your gaze and forced the fakest smile smile known to man, and every other creature that roamed the galaxy.
‘Right.’ Did he normally speak through gritted teeth?
‘So, d’you like this guy?’ Rey asked. ‘He seemed nice when I met him in the air hangar.’
‘He’s...’ you paused. Annoying, whiny, argumentative, has a voice like a foghorn and, most importantly, isn’t Poe Dameron. ‘Fine.’
‘So are you gonna call him back?’ Rose pushed. ‘Because the minute you bring someone new to the table, I can set up ol’ flyboy here with the cute girl from comms who’s been eyeing him up.’
‘I’m okay, but thanks.’ Poe’s fake smile barely faltered, eyes landing on you again. ‘I don’t need a relationship when I have such fulfilling friendships.’
You almost choked on your drink at that. The irony was laying in the fact that you used to love Poe’s little sarcastic jabs and backhanded comments - at least when you’d been sat beside him, laughing into his shoulder and holding his hand under the table. Now, you were in the line of fire and maker knew you’d left your bulletproof vest at home.
Needless to say, his forced smile fell when you gave him a kick on the shin under the table.
‘So..you and Cute Mechanic. Not a thing?’ Finn asked.
‘Definitely not a thing.’ You confirmed.
‘You don’t have to say it on my behalf.’ Poe said. ‘If you like the guy, you can talk about it in front of me.’
‘Don’t flatter yourself.’ You snorted. ‘It’s nothing to do with you. I genuinely don’t like him.’
That was half true: you didn’t like the guy, but it was everything to do with Poe. You could have met the holy grail of men and they still wouldn’t have had a chance in hell. That’s not to say that Poe wasn’t the holy grail, but he was flawed. So you were you. It was those flaws that had lead to your downfall in the first place. Fundamentally, everyone had to have them -- it just so happened that the best parts of you clicked so well and the flawed parts of you clashed so badly. The good times and bad parts were so different that they were like two different ends of a magnet; complete opposites and inevitably polarising.
Rose, sensing the tension between the two of you, suddenly pushed to change the subject. ‘So, did anyone see the General-’
‘- I’m gonna go now.’ You stood up. ‘I’m really tired and I have an early meeting tomorrow.’
All four of them knew that was bullshit. There were no meetings on a Saturday, but they kept schtum. There was a chorus of okay, get some rest! and see you tomorrow, but Poe didn’t say anything. He just kept you in his gaze, watching as you gathered up your things and headed for the door.
The air outside was cold; Ajan Kloss had hot, hot summers and freezing winters. You fumbled to pull your jacket over your shoulders as you stalked away, boots thundering against the muddy path as you headed back for the base. It was only a fifteen minute walk, and it was safe for the most part. Everyone on the planet was either a native villager - all of whom were humble and welcoming - or a fellow Rebel.
You didn’t bother to turn around when you head foot-steps behind you. It was a Friday night, which meant that there was going to be people around.
It was only when somebody grabbed you by the shoulder that you suddenly spun on your heel -- luckily, Poe Dameron managed to catch your fist in time to save it hitting his face. It wasn’t personal. It was natural to get a little trigger happy with the ol’ mitt when a stranger grabbed you in the dark. Only, it wasn’t a stranger. It was your ex-boyfriend, looking as handsome as ever with disheveled hair and a five o’ clock shadow.
‘For fuck’s sake!’ You snapped. ‘What the hell are you doing?!’
‘I came to check you were okay!’ Poe released his grip on your wrist, letting it flop to your side. ‘You only ever stalk out like that when you’re mad.’
‘No thanks to you.’ You shot back. ‘I’m fine. Just go back to the bar.’
‘Short sentences meaning you’re fuming-’
‘- I’m about to be well past that point.’ You cut him off. ‘Go back. Don’t worry about me.’
‘I wanted to talk to you anyways.’ He admitted.
‘About what?’
‘About what you said back there.’ Poe replied. ‘I genuinely meant what I said. I don’t want you to not try things with that new guy because of me.’
‘Poe, I-’
‘- I mean it.’ He continued. ‘I just wanted you to know.’
‘Wanted me to know what?’ You murmured. ‘That I need your permission to date other people?’
‘No, that’s not what I’m saying.’ He frowned at your words. ‘I just...I mean that I wanted you to know that it’s okay if you don’t love me anymore.’
Well if that wasn’t like a knife through the fucking chest, you didn’t know what was.
What hurt more? The fact he was officially letting you go, or the fact he thought you were even capable of falling out of love with him? Because that, you weren’t. Poe might have been the most stubborn, most annoying, most chaotic person you knew but he was everything. Everything you wanted and everything you needed - but everything you couldn’t have. You were two parts of a screwed up whole. Bad apart, but probably even worse off together. It was pretty fucked up of whoever was in the sky that they’d put you both in the galaxy at the same time. Existing without him was less painful than existing in a world where you couldn’t be together.
‘Poe...’ your voice was small, a tiny crack appearing in the middle of his name.
‘Me being an ass is just a defence mechanism.’ He ran a hand through his hair. ‘And I’m sorry.’
‘I haven’t fallen out of love with you.’ You ignored his apology.
‘Like I said, it’s okay.’ He shook his head. ‘I can see it in your eyes.’
‘If you think you can see it in my eyes then you clearly don’t know me at all.’ Your voice shook, but you managed to throw the accusation at him. An admirable trait, surely.
‘I don’t think I do.’ He admitted. ‘Not anymore.’
--
The next morning, Poe was sat in the canteen. He didn’t normally rise so early on weekends, but thanks to your discussion the night before, sleep had alluded him.
Instead, he was staring aimlessly at his whole bowl of oatmeal. He’d been stirring it around for the better of an hour, thinking of nothing but you. He thought it was sweet of you to have rejected his claims of love (or lack thereof) but nothing you could have said would have made him believe you. It all stemmed down to the fact that he’d spent so long convincing himself of it. If he truly believed - or at least thought he believed - that you didn’t love him anymore, then he wouldn’t fool himself to having false hope, He was more likely to force himself to pull his head out his backside and move on. It was less painful that way, to rip it off like a bandaid. There was no hope if there was no love. Both of those things were and few these days.
Poe jumped out of his exhausted, self-inflicted trance when something slammed on the table in front of him. He practically jumped out of his seat, oatmeal flying everywhere as he let out a yelp. He was about to open his mouth and yell, to cry in vain of his airborne breakfast, but he immediately stopped when he saw you staring down at him.
‘Do you really think I stopped loving you?’
He huffed. ‘I’m not having this conversation with you.’
‘Yes, you are.’ You snapped. ‘Answer the question, Poe. Do you really think I stopped loving you?’
‘What’s this?’ He asked, eyes falling onto the piece of paper resting atop the table.
‘Do you remember a few weeks ago when I went on that mission to Nevarro?’ You asked.
‘Uh, yeah.’ Poe scratched the back of his hair. ‘That dangerous one.’
‘Yeah, the dangerous one.’ You placed one leg over the bench seat opposite him, dropping down onto the table with a thud. ‘I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it back.’
‘None of us were.’
‘This is a letter I asked Leia to give to you in case I died.’ You slid it across to him. ‘You should give it read.’
‘What are you doing?’ Poe sighed.
‘I’m proving a point, Dameron.’
‘Yeah, you’ve always been good at that.’ He snatched the letter from you, pulling it open. ‘You just gonna stare at me the whole time that I read this?’
‘Yup.’
Another sigh escaped his lips as he tore it open, eyes briefly scanning the page for a moment. His brow furrowed - was it possible to feel like words were punching you in the throat?
Poe,
If you’re reading this, it’s either because I’m dead or M.I.A, or you’ve been snooping through Leia’s desk draw in search of that damned Coruscanti candy again. If it’s the latter, put this fucking down. Because it means I’m alive, and I’ll find you and throttle you. If it’s because of the first one, then keep reading, because it means I’m gone. Turns out that I only act immortal.
I should preface this by saying that I’m sorry. Sorry that we didn’t get to be together again and sorry that I didn’t try harder to make it happen. Please know that it’s what I wanted more than anything. You probably already know it, but I never stopped loving you. I died loving you (hopefully in a bad-ass way) and because death is, rather unfortunately, a permanent state, it means that I’ll love you forever.
I’m only being bold with my words because I know you won’t be around for me to be embarrassed by how soft you’ve made me, but you’re my best friend. My other half and my whole world. You made me feel safe and loved and by all intents and purposes, you are my home. Whoever ends up getting to marry you - because you will find someone; the galaxy is a large place and there is another person out there who will find your annoying ass to be rather charming - is the luckiest fucking person ever. I’m just sorry that I can’t be there to watch it happen, and even more sorry that it couldn’t be me.
Love you always, flyboy
- (name)
p.s I have a cactus on my window ledge. Can you water it for me? Thanks.
Poe’s eyes were bleary with tears by the end - at the thought of you dying, at the thought of him being the last person you thought of before you went on that mission. The mission that he’d sent you on, as your Commander. He’d caused you grief without even trying.
‘That mission was two weeks ago.’ He looked up at you, not even bothering to hide the water in his eyes. ‘You wrote this two weeks ago.’
‘Yeah.’ You quietly murmured. Giving a small nod, you stood up from the table and wiped your own eyes. ‘You should hold onto that.’
‘W-where are you going?’
‘I have work to do.’ You stood up. ‘Goodbye, Poe.’
'For now or forever?’ He tried to force a joke, but it didn’t really work in his favour.
‘You had a point in what you said.’ You replied. ‘We should both move on.’
His eyes fell back down to the letter, where a few scrawled words jumped out at him: I’ll love you forever.
Until now, he hadn’t considered the fact that forever was still forever, even when you spent it apart.

trip in the forest
I know, the title sucks, let’s hope this piece of fluff will be better!
As usual, feel free to like, comment, reblog and enjoy!

I thought I knew what I had signed up for when I had accepted a date with Charlie Weasley. A good evening with him for sure, maybe filled with some awkward moments but nothing we wouldn’t laugh about later, certainly something magical creatures related, but you know what I hadn’t anticipated?
Sneaking out with him to spend the night in the freaking forbidden forest. That was definitely not in my plans. And now, as I was trailing in the mud behind him, I still didn’t know why I had accepted. Probably his puppy eyes, which seemed to be his favourite way to obtain whatever he wanted - now at least, I knew how he had convinced Pince to let him spend a night studying a book about dragons in the restricted section of the library.
“When- Charlie, when will we arrive wherever you’re bringing me?” I breathed out, which made my stitch even more painful.
“I don’t know!” he replied cheerfully, not panting the least. How the hell was he so enduring? “We’ll see when we’ll be there, I guess!”
“Charlie Weasley!” he turned to me with a surprised expression that turned quickly into guilt. “No matter how fun it is to be walking in the forbidden forest during a freezing night, I would adore you if you could tell me why you brought me here!”
“Keep your voice down, they could hear us!”
“Keep your voice down? Charlie, I swear to Merlin that monsters hearing us will be the least of your worries if you don’t tell me-” I began, slightly infuriated and walking straight to him.
A branch betrayed me though, and I tripped just in front of him. Fortunately, his reflexes were way better than mine and he caught me, steadying me on my feet before putting his hand on my mouth. Without any particular reason, I wondered why his hands weren’t covered in mud as were mine.
“I’m not talking about monsters Y/N,” Charlie murmured, “I’m talking about unicorns.”
“Oh.”
Was all I found because that wasn’t what I expected at all, but, let’s be honest, mainly because our faces were only a few inches apart and the slightly inappropriate thought that his lips seemed so soft crossed my mind. Charlie, clearly oblivious to what was going on in that disoriented brain of mine, kept explaining how he remembered me saying to Tonks that seeing unicorns was a dream I had since my childhood and how he had thought he would bring me to this spot Hagrid had indicated him.
“We couldn’t go during the day because the forest is less dangerous during the night, I know, it’s hard to believe, oh and because we have classes too of course. So I just thought-”
“Charlie.” He stopped talking immediately, and the way he looked at me made my heart beat at an even faster pace than during the trailing. “You should have told me, I wouldn’t have dressed up with these jeans!”
Charlie chuckled.
“Well, they look nice on you.” Here it was, this first awkward moment of Charlie and I looking at each other without saying anything and getting redder and redder. “So… Do you want to go and find these unicorns? We can come back later if you want.”
Considering the brownish colour of my once blue jeans, I shrugged and grabbed his hand.
“You promised me unicorns, Weasley, you better bring me to them now!”
_ _ _
To Charlie, the portion of river where the unicorns liked to stay should be only a dozen of meters away from us. It seemed like I had to cross half of the planet though, because even after an hour and half struggling to stay on my feet when branches, roots and mud were standing in my way, I still needed Charlie’s stable balance. At least now, he was firmly holding my hand, and sometimes when there was too much mud he would even wrap his arm around my waist, making my heart beat ten times faster and pretty much all the blood in my veins rushing to my cheeks. However, how Charlie’s face could stay so straight was a mystery to me, and maybe a very little bit frustrating.
“I think it’s here.”
Charlie’s voice suddenly reached my ears, low and very close to me. I didn’t move my head, too embarrassed at the thought of accidentally bumping his to do what I desperately wanted to do, but my peripheral vision told me that his face was just next to mine, and I was very aware of his torso almost pressed against my back.
I was so surprised and lost in my thoughts that I almost missed the first unicorn. It was an adult, and it looked like she was glowing in the night. The light of the moon, instead of being blocked by the trees, seemed to be stronger here, as if it was amplified by the water of the river. A split second later, I caught a flash of gold on my right and a foal appeared. The baby unicorn joined its mother, and the both of them leaned over the water to quench their thirst. The view was so pure that it almost brought tears to my eyes, and I almost didn’t feel Charlie’s hands when he put them on my shoulder.
“Get down,” he murmured as he pressed lightly on my shoulder. “We don’t want them to see us, do we?”
I shook my head and did as he said. Charlie was still just behind me, and his hands only left my shoulder to grab my waist. The two unicorns were oblivious to our presence, or if they knew we were here they never showed any sign of acknowledgement or nervousness. The baby stopped drinking before the mother and decided to explore the surroundings. Smelling every leaf of every bush led the foal just in front of the bush we were hiding behind. I feared they would run away as soon as our presence would be discovered, but the little unicorn didn’t do anything, even though I knew we were spotted. The exploration continued, and eventually the mother whinnied softly. A second later, the two unicorns had disappeared with an inaudible galop.
“They were way more discreet than you!” chuckled Charlie a few seconds after their departure. He helped me get up, but in all honesty I didn’t even realize my legs were sore after having spent almost fifteen minutes crouched down. I was still amazed by what I had just experienced, I just couldn’t believe I had been face to face with a unicorn.
“How was it?”
“Charlie, it was- it was awesome!”
I knew my smile was wide as ever and Charlie’s was too. I wrapped my arms around his neck - at this point, all restraint had left my mind - and thanked him maybe a thousand times.
“I’m glad you’re so happy,” he said later, as we were walking back to the castle. “I have to admit I was afraid you were mad at me.”
“I wasn’t mad, just slightly unhappy.”
“I didn’t want to ruin the surprise, that’s why I didn’t-”
If Charlie stopped his rambling apologies so abruptly, it’s because we were so caught in the conversation that we didn’t realize we weren’t walking straight.
“Y/N- you hurt somewhere?” muttered Charlie as he was trying to get on his feet.
I looked up to him, getting rid of the leaves stuck on my face, and then to the embankment we had just rolled down. I grabbed Charlie’s hand and got up, not daring to say out loud I was sure my butt would turn blue in less than ten minutes. I wanted to say instead that it was okay, but my voice got lost somewhere between my paralyzed mind and my open mouth when Charlie reached for my hair and removed a single leaf with a delicate touch.
“You’re worrying me,” he simply said, scrunching his nose as if he was trying to figure out what was wrong with me.
“Nothing- I mean, no, I’m okay… That’s embarrassing.”
“I fell as much as you did,” he said with a chuckle, and the sound seemed louder in the silence of the night.
Actually, it came so loud that I was fearing something like a werewolf could have heard us. As if he had read my mind, Charlie wrapped an arm around my shoulders, reminding me that it wasn’t the full moon yet and helping me climb the embankment again.
Fortunately, we got back to the castle without any other fall and without being eaten by a werewolf. We made it to the Gryffindor common room without any bad encounters. I was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to slip in my bed, but I didn’t want this night to end either. Charlie seemed as energetic as he was at the beginning of our walk but a yawn betrayed my exhaustion.
“You should go and sleep.” he murmured before clearing his throat and scratching the back of his head. “I- I spent a good night, that was great.”
“Me too. Next time, remind me to ask you where we go before anything else!” I suppressed another yawn and missed his puzzled look.
“Because you want a next time? I mean, I do but it turned out pretty-”
“Chaotic?” He blushed, which made my heart skip a beat. Merlin, this boy would be the death of me, in a way or another! “I know, but that was fun as hell and I loved every second of it! I’m free whenever you want, just not tomorrow because I have to make up for a lost night’s sleep.”
Charlie seemed to think for a second and then smiled widely.
“I’ve heard there’s a clearing quite popular with the hippogriffs… Next week?”

MY FRIEND! Of course you can request some fluff since I broke your heart with my last drabble! >:D
BEHOLD, Fane, the chivalrous dragon! >:3
***
The Emerald Graves bore a duality that Solas found was a persistent theme in his life. Blissfully serene, but beautifully chaotic. Laden with sorrow, but thriving with joyous life. Awash with scars of the past, but still with the peace of the present. The lush forests with their tombstone trees, the various creatures that frolicked and loped, the babbling streams with old Elvhen monuments or statues lining their banks, and ruins upon ruins of a home that was taken as readily as it had been given. All of these things held the duality of nature, the light and dark, but there was, perhaps, one thing he found himself only seeing the dark side of an otherwise shimmering gold coin.
And that were roots, gigantic and jutting as surely as the wooden bodies that bore them. The trees within the Graves were large, towering, and their sturdy, ancient roots matched that tenacity, tearing through the verdant ground and bursting upwards as if those who had fallen were rising from their hallowed grounds.
However, it had not been the hand of a fallen Emerald Knight that sought Solas now as he walked beside Fane; his dragon's emerald eyes glistening with quiet gold as they stared forward, occasionally darting towards a rustling bush before a nug would scurry from it, eyeful march resuming its forward steps. It was just the two of them, Fane having ordered a split of their party to cover more ground, mark more landmarks for later observation and consideration, and as per usual, he took his place beside his dragon; always beside, never behind. It was an arrangement they both had declared silently, but knowingly, the bond of centuries answering for them.
Sadly, it was proving to be increasingly difficult to keep that arrangement as they proceeded deeper and deeper into the grove they had stumbled upon, the path narrowing, but only bringing them closer together, not apart, even if the alternative would be easier, but truthfully, Solas had no one to blame but himself for their venue, ancient energy making itself known within his mind and along his skin. It was a beautiful area, however, laden with colorful blooms of Embrium interspersed with Prophet's Laurel and Royal Elfroot. He would have to make note of this particular spot, but once they found the Elvhen artifact, it would be no issue relocating the prosperous path they tread.
Or rather, the treacherous path they tread, the ground rife with thick, winding roots that made it difficult to traverse without stumbling or getting caught up for a moment. Fane was having no trouble, long legs easily stepping over or a heavy boot merely crushing the wooden with a crack before its bearer would continue onward. He, on the other hand, was a little less...assured, occasionally catching the tip of his foot along a loop from where his leg would draw up short.
Solas let out a quiet growl of frustration as he, yet again, felt his foot catch, nearly stumbling and tumbling into the taller man beside him. These roots were truly irksome! He had traipsed into many a forest, many a crumbling ruin laden with obstructions all their own, but these specific obstacles were proving to be cunning and infuriating!
"You said it was around here, right?", Fane's voice sounded in his ears, deep and mildly flat as usual. The shifting of metal and leather telling Solas arms had been crossed. "Usually I can sense them, too, but I don't this time. Huh."
Solas glanced up from where he was glaring at the ground to see one pale, freckled cheek jutting out slightly as his dragon did his normal habit of pressing his tongue against the inside of his cheek, but unfortunately, he was unable to wax poetic over it as he was trying to traverse the maze of roots they had wandered into. Why were there so many?!
"It is...", Solas began, halting his words as he carefully side stepped and tiptoed over a rather pesky bunch of gnarled wooden arms. He kept his eyes glued to the ground as he continued, "..deeper in. The Veil has various abnormalities in these forests, so perhaps it is affecting your--", he tried to finish, but was cut off as another thick root had one of his feet twisting like it was twisted, looping and aggravatingly elegant. "Fenehdis lasa!" The curse spilling out unbidden as sudden pain had him grimacing and stumbling forward a bit.
Solas nearly tumbled forward due to having to take the majority of his weight off his foot, but, as quick as vipers, Fane's hands shot out to grab a hold of his shoulders, digging into fur and cloth to pull him back from meeting the earth. He winced a bit, pinching pain radiating through his foot and up to his ankle as he leaned towards Fane. Curse it all! How he managed to walk through life at times was a mystery! If this were the Fade he could disperse these blasted roots without growing tired!
"You okay?", Fane asked, voice dropping deeper with worry as his face came into view, eyes sparkling like iridescent runes and pale visage holding a sunlight glow from the sunlight filtering from down from above. Those all encompassing eyes held concern and typical protectiveness, the hands gripping Solas' shoulders tightening a bit.
"I..am fine..", Solas managed to get out, but winced in the next moment when he tried to ease his foot onto the cool ground, sharp, searing pain shooting up through his ankle. "I..merely twisted my ankle a bit." It felt more than a bit, scorching and throbbing, but the last thing he wanted was to induce more worry onto Fane, but with the way emerald eyes seemed to narrow with exasperation told Solas that that was but a dream.
"Describe the pain.", Fane said, practically demanding, inherent growl working its way forward from concern and Solas' attempts to divert.
Solas sighed, turning his head up a bit more to connect their gazes more completely. Emerald and gold flowed and shone as emotions began to run high within his dragon, snowy eyebrow twitching, lips down turned into a displeased scowl. He should know better than to hide from a dragon, but still he tried. Foolish.
"It is...uncomfortable.", Solas finally said, reaching up to give one of Fane's clawing hands a pat and a soothing stroke of a thumb. He smiled a bit, reassuring and calm despite the pain he felt in his foot. "That is all, ma'isenatha. A simple healing spell later on will suffice in soothing it." He hoped that would ease a draconic mind, but with the same emerald and gold sharpened told Solas otherwise, letting out a tiny sigh. And he was the worrywart of the two of them?
"You can't walk.", Fane growled, no question in it, only fact.
"I can walk perf--"
"Try it, then."
Solas gaped a bit, fumbling for another deflection, but came up short as another sharp surge of pain had him hissing, squeezing his eyes shut to the point where he saw static. Okay, so it would appear he would not be chancing strides any time soon. He sighed again as the fiery pain slowly ebbed again, cracking his eyes open to stare up into firm, but deeply worried orbs that reflected the mightiest of jewels. Fane was frowning with concern rather than scowling with irritation, inked vines of Sylaise seeming to wilt along with otherwise youthful muscles. Solas felt himself smile a bit despite not finding pleasure in such a sight. For his dragon to always be so concerned for his welling being, for everyone's well being, was truly touching, even if it was unnecessary at times.
"It would appear you are right in that I cannot walk.", Solas admitted, letting out a tiny chuckle as he shook his head. "But, there is a task yet, and I can endure." The Elvhen artifact was the priority at the moment, and it would be wasteful to them both if they had to abandon the grove now because of his gracelessness.
Fane scoffed, rolling his eyes. "On one foot? Yeah, okay. I'll just let you hop around until you bite it again.", he said with an exasperated growl before continuing, voice softer, but no less annoyed. "Don't be a fool.", he admonished before a large frame gingerly let go of him, but staying close as it descended onto a knee, turning from him. Solas tilted his head, blinking a bit and bracing himself on broad shoulders to keep himself steady.
"Fane? What are you doing?", he asked, brows knitting together in confusion as emerald and gold met him again from over a shoulder. It was unusual to be the 'tall' one in the relationship, Fane about a foot taller than he was.
It was...quite interesting, truth be told, warmth not born of bruised muscle making itself known across his cheeks and the tips of his ears. Solas swallowed a bit as a knowing smirk turned up one corner of Fane's mouth, the heat rising, the interest spreading it. Oh, yes. This was...this was very interesting. So interesting, that he almost tuned out his dragon's next words.
"Get on.", Fane commanded flatly, motioning to his back with a jerk of his chin. "You point the way towards the artifact, and I'll take us to it." Snowy hair swayed as he turned his head forward again, but glimmering eyes continued to watch from the side, observing his reaction oh so typically, but not unwelcome.
"You wish to...carry me?", Solas questioned, the heat upon his face rising evermore when his inquiry was met with silence and a tiny smirk upon tender lips. "You..do." His voice eking up slowly, somewhat sheepishly. Again, this was interesting, interesting, interesting. This deciduous forest suddenly felt like a rain forest, hot and sweltering, his collar feeling tighter than usual, the layers upon him feeling like there were far too many, that they were far too heavy.
Fane chuckled, dutifully waiting on bent knee. "This is your chance to ride a dragon, my sky. Best take it.", he joked, smirk growing ever wider.
Solas let out a shaky chuckle of his own, hands upon sturdy shoulders gliding forward to find a niche before he carefully, so as not to aggravate his ankle, as well as the scars he knew laid beneath metal and leather, hopped forward a bit to straddle a wall of a back. He lowered himself gingerly, leaning in to press their bodies together before shifting his arms to wrap around Fane's neck. Hands appeared to pull and grip his thighs gently so that they hugged a toned waist before Solas felt himself rise along with Fane, the endeavor effortless, the motion fluid without a grimace of pain or a grunt of exertion.
In. Ter. Est. Ting.
Solas felt his face go deadpan, mind whirling, thoughts bordering on impure as large hands squeezed flesh and their bodies seemed to meld and mold together perfectly, his arms tightening around Fane's neck to where he was practically hugging the man of his intense, intense, interest. He felt oddly weak all of a sudden, and almost unbearably hot.
"Comfortable?", Fane's voice pierced his scorching thoughts, timbre and baritone making Solas shudder lightly before he sighed, actively burying his face into the black leather of the dragon's jacket. It smelled of the forest, oddly, snow, and familiarly of chamomile. He could die smelling those scents and be happy. Yes, he could.
"You are..", Solas mumbled into Fane's coat, taking a deep breath as he tightened his hug around his neck, but careful to not choke the man. It would not do for them both to be out of commission. "...strong.", he finished, internally berating himself for his lack of eloquence. It would appear his ankle wasn't the only thing beginning to numb with heat.
Fane chuckled deeply. "Like that, do you?", a tease slipping out, its cadence holding a, no doubt, intoxicating smirk, but Solas couldn't will himself to look up, to bask in its snowy disposition for his face was burning, a blush spreading all along the expanse of his face and down to his neck, he knew, but Fane didn't have to.
"I..", Solas paused, shifting a bit as strong hands squeezed at his thighs, movement beginning as Fane effortlessly strode forward, boots crunching through treacherous roots with far more force than was necessary. "..merely believed you enjoyed the benefit." He was fumbling, falling, and frazzled beyond belief, his only stabilizing influence the sturdy shoulder, that was flexing on occasion from gentle shifts and general movement, that his face was now practically burrowed into.
"Mm.", Fane hummed, knowing and pleased. The arms holding Solas' legs jerked a bit, repositioning him deftly without breaking strides. That action nearly had Solas growling before he took in a deep breath, chamomile and nature cooling him a bit, but not by much. He couldn't even feel the heat of his ankle anymore, the inferno now coursing throughout his entire body, his blood.
And that had him acting bold as he shifted his head a bit, peeping out from his hiding spot to immediately see a sidelong glance of glittering emerald and delicate gold watching him, observing him, their depths holding wells upon wells of unbridled emotion. Concern, love, devotion, and most of all, acceptance. Solas smiled a tiny smile, eyes going hooded as Fane's did in turn. How foolish of him to act the damsel when he understood the knight holding him would never look at him adversely for his softer habits. No, if anything, they were both on equal footing; walking beside, never behind.
"But, since you asked..", Solas whispered, leaning up a bit to nuzzle at a pointed ear, smirking a bit as it twitched and hands clawed into his thighs, goosebumps rising even underneath leather to where he let out a quiet, but heated sigh. "..I do like such undiluted power, ma'isenatha. Do you wish to show me more of it?"
The Elvhen artifact was but an afterthought as roots snapped along with a draconic leash and Solas, too, felt his shackles break as surely as waves against a rocky shore, chaotic, but wholly beautiful.
***
Did it get away from me a bit? Is it slightly spicy? Did I twist Solas' flirting dialogue to adhere to him and Fane's dynamic?! *gasp* I DIIIIIID! AHAHAHAH! *coughs harshly* E...Enjoyyyy! <3

Can I get a list of all ur ocs?
Well anon youve done it, you made me make a list of all my major OCS in one place. I hope your happy with yourself. Under the cut for obvious reasons, may link in my blog desc later.
Modern/BTD verse!!
Jilly- Ferret beastkin little creature, was recently turned into a werewolf by vincent as well so she's running around on full moons in a wereferret wolf hybrid creature form. Chaotic and friendly and wants to be everyone's bestie. She has the most energy in the world and is very kind hearted. Banned from most Claires for stealing and from one Home Depot for climbing the shelves. Prone to living life with rose colored glasses on and seeing the best in everything/everything even when there's nothing there. Socialization is a must for her and is why being basemented/kidnapped broke her psych so quickly and developed severe stockholm. Sometimes overly talkative/enthusiastic and can scare people off. Even if she sees someone shes decided shes friends with be noticeably 'evil', will convince herself it must be for some reason/her fault and ignore it.
Ciggy- Undead punk still learning to harness his powers to interact with the world as a ghost. Was sacrificed by a cult he joined for free concert tickets and to get laid. Likes to cause problems on purpose both pre and prior death and he's not above possessing someone once he learns how to. Was called Rooster in high school before he dropped out because he's loud, obnoxious and always screaming. And also has bright red dyed hair. Looking 4 ways to become less ghosty bcs he wants to be able to help raise his infant daughter, whom he died before he could meet. Bit annoying and in your face, likes poking at bruises, his or others. Kind of a sad heart seeking attention through volume and persistence.
Mike: Vampire loser! Sells drugs and lives at raves. Was turned when she was attacked by a coked out vampire (whom she supplied the product to) and has major scarring on her face and chest. Needs a somewhat constant influx of blood so shell sometimes take victims back to her place and chain them up, slowly draining them over time. Feels bad (ish) about it tho so it is possible to survive her if you are nice and or interesting enough. Kind of desperate for a friend and for love. Is a stalker. If she likes you enough/finds you interesting, she might just appear in your house one night and start rummaging through your fridge like nothing is wrong and youve been besties for years. Its best to indulge her and be friendly, otherwise she could turn violent quickly if her feelings are hurt.
Kilaine- Regular human woman, but fucked up. Born and raised by an elite waspy society she had an interest in the human body and pain tolerance since she was young. Quickly learned that these traits were socially unacceptable in most professions, so she became a doctor. The only family she cared about was her younger sister who she lost in a car accident, where they were flipped over and trapped inside while it was afire. While her sister burned up in front of her Kilaine only lost her left arm and had major burns on her body. This tipped her descent into sadism and she is now madly obsessed with bringing her sister back no matter the cost. Rude and offstandish, clinical.
Dragon age verse!
Thurwen- My main Hero of Ferelden with a bad temper and a heart of gold. City elf from the Denerim Alienage, 18 at the start of origins. She's a reaver warrior with a lot of pent up rage which sometimes scares others when she lets it out in battle. Over the years she's grown less moody as she's had to take the role of Commander. Crude sense of humor and violent impulses, very sensitive to the plights of others and tries often to help. Never seen crying in public but only cries to herself at night- major martyr and hanged man complex.
Caz- My circle mage elf inquisitor who was an apostate before the conclave. Blood magic, but make it sneaky. Wary of strangers and new faces, always dealing with the impulse to flee/find a high vantage point. Endless curiosity about the unknown/ the forbidden/ naughty, was supposed to be made tranquil for it but she escaped. Kind of a little creature as well, lived on her own for a while as an apostate in the woods, filed her teeth down to sharp ends to make herself look more intimidating (shes 5 ft tall) and less cute (her elf ears are huge and expressive, which shes embarrassed about)
Dag and Thagna- Carta twins! Professional lyrium smugglers since birth pretty much. Raised casteless in dust town and had to work their way up the chain of command by themselves. Dag is the brother, Thagna the sister. Their father traded them to the carta for drinking money and their mom died in childbirth so they have somewhat of a codependent relationship. Both charismatic and calculating, friendly and agreeable but won't hesitate to put a dagger in your back. Hard to pin down morally or physically, squirrelly bastards.
Reila: Dalish elf who works for the inquisition/ is the inquisitor in some aus. She has an extreme fixation on elvhen history and rebuilding what they have lost. Not a people person, prefers solitude. Takes some time to warm up to shemhlen as she has a hard history with them. Good friends with Caz, who recruited her in the first place. Doesn't understand very many social cues and finds societal expectations limiting and frustrating. Fondness for halla and hooved animals, which she finds graceful.
Elder scrolls verse!
Valkya: Near seven foot nord woman whos over a thousand years old by the events of skyrim. Tall and buff, two handed warrior and compulsive hero there to bask in the spotlight save the day. She was killed at the start of the events of Elder scrolls online and had her soul ripped out and sent to coldharbor and she's just been a pain in the ass about it since then. Her body can physically die and will not regrow pieces. Her soul however will escape and teleport to the nearest source of power where her body will regrow from an aetherial plasm until its whole again. Loud and brash, friendly and jovial. Actually pretty keen especially after centuries of life but prefers to play dumb as it makes people underestimate her. Plus, she really does enjoy mud wrestling and drinking contests and acting generally like a rambunctious frat boy. Ha developed a bit of a substance problem and a problem with acting out, as after being alive so long she would turn to anything to dull the ache inside of her that never goes away.
Espira- My Dragonborn! Redguard from Hammerfell who was briefly in the Ash’abah due to killing undead while protecting her parents water farm as a child. Ran away from them after years and went to Cyrodille, then to Skyrim and was caught crossing the border. Reserved, kind and soft spoken, she's a sword and shield warrior who's committed herself to doing good in the world by helping others. Dislikes killing and anything messy but believes it is often necessary in order to protect the weak. She blacksmiths often to save money on the upkeep of her own equipment, and takes up metal jewelry working as a hobby with the excess material. Prone to trusting others too much and giving too many second chances, as shes always looking for ways to make even the most hardened criminal a second look at life.
Riley- Espiras little brother who she locked in the wardrobe during the event of the water farm attack. In preventing him from doing violence against the undead she kept him from being conscripted into the Ash’abah. He's way more chaotic than his sister, and suffers from a case of little sibling syndrome in which he will often pester/poke at people just to get a rise out of them. Still kind hearted as his sister, he tries to hide it because he believes that the world is a cruel place and the cruel survive. Despite that belief he is often still unable to force himself to be cruel/careless, only making a show of it so that others leave him alone and don't see that he's very sensitive and emotional. Deaf in one ear due to a magic mishap in his youth, he trained and enchanted his most beloved rats to live for years and sit on his shoulder, alerting him to noises he would not otherwise notice.
Felria: Evil vamp :/ chaotic evil dunmer necromancer. Small and devilish and likes dead bodies too much. Manipulative and cunning, she loves acting. She's a trained assassin for the dark brotherhood and is the speaker. Likes dressing up for missions and wearing disguises like its all a play. Loves toying with people more than she loves killing them, will act in ways that cause as much trauma as possible for other people just for fun and she finds the reactions interesting. Considers herself too far removed from most people's perception of morality and of her so it's hard for her to trust someone or see them as worthy of knowing her. Finds the psychology of grief and fear to be interesting and wants to study them first hand. The hero of kvatch.
Herren: Fifty something year old rat woman looking for something to keep her going. Ran away from her wealthy family in her youth when they wanted her to take charge of the household, instead became an infamous jewel thief and swashbuckler. Spent most of her life traveling and stealing and double dealing. She's smarmy and sarcastic, a serial romancer of the highest caliber. Bit of a show off and a hedonist, always looking for the next good party or new product to snort. Her family died off due to the hard times she wasn't there for and she keeps looking for bigger and bigger heists to fill her appetite as she's chronically bored and lonely, though wont accept intimacy and will scoff at it out of the belief she doesn't deserve it. Irresponsible and selfish, lonely and terrified of any sort of commitment. Fun to party with though!

ok time to break my silence caused by the fact that i spent all day making this lol too many feels
so.. palm springs thoughts !! and there are manyyyy so buckle up and feeel free to hit me up with either matching or contradicting thoughts or whateveer!! i would LOVE to nerd out about this movie with someone:’)
here comes thoughts and pictures!!
we basically start off with a mr. samberg sex-scene okAYYYYY the mood is set. we love the view
nyles aka. mr. samberg is the most gorgeous man alive and it was a true pleasure to admire him for 90 minutes straight
Tumblr media
CURLS!!????! THEY ARE UNREAL. i shall dedicate an entire post to them
Cristin Milioti is perfect for her role. her acting? *chef’s kiss* I love that she’s not the stereotypical female rom-com lead.
Her chemistry with Andy? Gosh.. Can’t believe Nyles x Sarah is my new main movie-ship!! They play off of each other SO. WELL. Their characters are equally stone cold and bitter, but then again not really, and they both portray it so well!!
“You don’t ned a leg up.” *moans* “Hold my leg up!” i SCREAMED
“Don’t you kiss me.” “Don’t you tell me what to do.” hoW DARE THEY!
Tumblr media
Ok ur basically on love already stop it
The fact that they were just gonna fuck on a blanket on top OF ROCKS?!
Tumblr media
but then again in this movie’s already insane universe it’s prob pretty normal:)
The overall dark, existential humor?? This is what I live and breathe for on a daily basis. Basiaclly both main characters are a BIG MOOD
Nyles not giving a shit vs. Sarah severely freaking out in the beginning is an iconic dynamic
“I am the antichrist” and then the rock falling? For a hot sec I literally thought the movie was gonna take a turn with Nyles being some magical/scientific creature that’d created the timeloop or something idkkk ahhha
Nyles in the suit... ridiculous(ly hot)
Tumblr media
The torture methods Roy uses on Nyles and the fact that he’s not mentally scarred?? How??
On that note I love that Nyles and Sarah keep their memories even if the day starts over. Would’ve been a completely different concept if they had to “meet each other for the first time” every day and it wouldn’t’ve allowed their relationship arc to evolve as it did
Darla is the fucking shit
Nyles in the baseball cap, amirite?
THE BARTENDER TALKING ABOUT HITTING A GUY WITH THE CAR SHE’S CURRENTLY GIVING NYLES A HANDJOB IN IS COMEDIC GOLD
“You fucked Jerry Schlieffen?” “Well he fucked me.” Yes SIR. Andy Samberg’s characters are all bottoms and we’re here for it
Sarah’s tongue click and “nice try” when Nyles asks her about her sex life??
Tumblr media
IDK WHY BUT SO GOD
Randy is hella annoying. That’s it. That’s the tweet.
THIS ENTIRE SCENE:
Tumblr media
the fact that they both start waking up smiling because now at least they have each other 🥺😭🤯
uhm i love a good ship that’s like... best friends to lovers and the montage of them basically becoming besties killed me
this outfit Y E S:
Tumblr media
sarah falling off the car and nyles laughing it off is relationship goals
the crashing plane I LOL’ED
okay so... big moment... the DANCING AND MATCHING OUTFITS? THEY ARE MY DREAM TEAM. Also how excited they are running away from the bar 🥺
IM POSITIVE THIS IS THE MOMENT NYLES KNOWS! LIKE HE DOESN’T ADMIT IT TO HIMSELF COMPLETELY BUT HE KNOWS
Tumblr media
the bomb in the cake and french pirate-skit? so fucking random but i lovee it because it’s so them
*DRUM ROLL* PERHAPS MY FAVORITE MOMENT IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
STORYLINE WISE AND VISUALLY A++++
the deep talks by the fire were SO well written. they were actually deep and genuine, allowing the characters to grow and opening up to us as viewers but also remained fun and witty
sarah trying to get nyles to admit he cares for her and him joking it off??? the flirtinggg
really wish we’d gotten to know more about what nyles meant with “it drifts away: just like they all do.” because it really seemed to trigger something within him. Like WHO “They”???
the dinosaurs lmao no comment but at least they got a cute cuddly moment
from the very first millisecond inside the tent you can CLEARLY tell Sarah is just dying to do something about them!!!
the disbelief on nyles’ face when sarah says “lets just get it over with” because she’d clearly stated he didn’t want to and even though he obviously did he’s respected it and not done anything further about it oh babey
we love some good making out:’)))
NYLES HALTING TO TAKE IN THE MOMENT EXCUSE ME WHILE I GO SCREAM INTO THE VOID
Tumblr media
i will die for a post-sexy timez cuddle and how sarah is trying to staying awake to be besides him is just *explosion*
Tumblr media
this has to be *the moment* she realises
and they’re both sooooo fucking happy when they wake up after damn love me like that pls
THE GROOM BOOO FUCK OFF CAN’T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO REMEMBER HIS NAME CHEATING SCUM
THIS FACE:
Tumblr media
Baby is trying so hard and is so cute and nervous about it. SARAH LISTEN TO HIM HE LOVES YOU.
HE FELT GOOD WAKING UP BECAUSE OF YOUUUU, GIRL. DO NOT CALL IT “FUN”, SARAH
“Going to bed maybe just got a little better” 😭😭😭😭
The entire cop scene is just pure insanity, very Lonely Island and I’m here for it even though I just want Sarah to rEALLY LISTEN TO WHAT NYLES IS TRYING TO SAY
“Pain is real” oh babey that means SO MANY THINGS 🥺💔
“I followed you into that cave because I liked you!” like jake would say: don’t love how we got here but we’re going where i want
“pretentious sad boy” me
not shocked that they’ve hooked up before because c h e m i s t r y but don’t like how it got out :)))
why is nyles’ one sleeve shirt rolled up? im triggered
drinking pure vodka? oh babey its gonna be okay
WE LOVE A SMART BOI WHO RECOGNIZES HIS GIRL’S PERFUME
Sarah’s parents singing:)) i would cry too, nyles
"I love her.” “I see... That’s interesting” lmao savage
I actually really love Roy’s character. It turns out to be very humble actually and he has some insightful and lowkey poetic that lines i love. Besides that he’s hilarious.
SO the whole time i was wondering how they’d get out of the whole “same day forever”-thing, if they were to. and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they had such a logical way out of it: science. Not anything cheesy like “a true love’s kiss” or “you learned your lesson”. Pure logic and Sarah’s hard work to get there. Huge fan of this.
I will never get over how good Nyles looks waking up and Sarah is xtra pretty in that scene:’)
Nyles just wants to stay in a loop forever because it means for sure that he gets to stay with Sarah forever and I’m lowkey into it but also like lowkey LISTEN TO HER AND GO WITH HER PLAN, NYLES
“I wanna stay with you” *sniffles*
“I love you. How about that?” PRETTY FUCKING GOOD
I love Nyles’ character development. He started off so nonchalant and cold, closed off and by this point he’s the softest, smiliest in love fool I’ve ever seen and Andy does it so good. SAMBERG HEART EYES!!
Tumblr media
“Nothing is real in here” YES SARAH UR LOVE IS
I’m taking Sarah’s asking Nyles to believe in her and leave with her as her first “I love you” because it’s very clear that she wants to leave with him rather than without.
just- this entire scene i ugh <3 <3 <3 <3
BREAKING. UP. WITH. MISTY ! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
glass of wine filled to the brim? sarah’s my type of gal
the speech was really beautiful and sweet without being too cheesy and kudos to cristin for really delivering it like a pro! especially her “abe, don’t fuck this up” like yes girl kill him, chop him to pieces with your eyes!!! also camila is such really pretty bride
nyles looks like a cockatoo here :
Tumblr media
nyles taking the shot and smashing the glass into the ground got me 🤭😵😏🥵
“I’m your son” I SCREAM
GIVE THE MAN A WHITE HORSE DAMNIT
Gotta admit Sarah looks like a bomb (lol nu pun intended) ass super hero in her bridesmaid dress and C4-gettup
The sentence ending up being total grammatical gibberish but Nyles trying so. damn. hard is the sweetest thing ever and should and will go down in rom-com history. It’s super romantic but also well-balanced by humor and I just.. so good. This is the kind of characters and relationships I love and wanna write myself
“you’re my favorite person that i’ve ever met” 🥺🥺🥺
“i’d rather die with you than live in this world without you” WHY AM I SO SINGLE SOMEONE LOVEE ME LIKE THIS
okay so idk but “what if we get sick of each other?” “we’re already sick of each other. it’s the best.” is so so so soft, the way nyles says it like it doesn’t matter and is honestly another key moment for me: they’ve experienced basically everything imaginable during their time in the box/loop. they’ve liked, disliked, loved, hated each other and still: he loves her. the fact that nyles knows no matter what happens it won’t stop that because it’s them?? ouch my heart.
this chaotic mess of a pairing?MESSY BOMB BRIDESMAID AND CURLY-HAIR HAWAII SHIRT-BOI!! MY OTp
Them dissing Nyles’ mom on their way into potential death? that’s love, baby
the fUCKING KISSSSSSS MANNNNNNNNNN!!!! SO ICONIC AND THE EXPLOSION IN THE BACKGROUND AND JUST WE DESERVE THIS THEY DESERVE THIS EVERYONE DESERVES THISSSS!!!
Tumblr media
NEVER OVEER THIS EVER FOREVER NEVER
Ok so I was SURE that when it faded to black that it was done and I grew super ficking frustrated because it would leave us with this “the ending is up to whatever you chose”-kinda thing kinda a la Celeste and Jesse where it just feels unresolved and I WASN’T OKAY WITH THAT. So I’m so happy we got to know that it worked and the bebes will live happuilly ever after with Nyles’ shaggy dog:’)
Their hands on each other’s knee >>>>>
all in all 100000/10

Only the Dead Have Seen the End of War
Once, Alina might have thought war would have an end.
That under the care of rulers who thought it precious beyond measure, Ravka would one day find itself at peace. That with enough power and caution, their enemies would see that it is in their best interests to stop, to rest, to live.
But that had been a long, long time ago. And now Alina knows better.
Peace is rare, and to be cherished.
Ravka isn’t always at war, of course. There are peaceful times, in which they get to focus their resources on what actually matters, to thrive. Those are Alina’s favorite eras in her and Aleksander’s long reign. But mostly, it feels as if those are long and far in between.
Mostly, their people are dying in the name of conflicts that should not be. That stem from prejudices so long in the making that none even remember when they began anymore – well, perhaps none other than Alina’s husband or her mother-in-law.
And they are at loss as to how to stop it.
Alina refuses to wipe nations off the map. She’s no longer the innocent girl who flinches at the death of every other innocent. She has seen the cost of war, and she knows that sacrifices must be made. But that does not mean she would be able to live with herself if they simply covered the entirety of Shu-Han or Fjerda with darkness and left practically no one but themselves.
But, she has no better suggestion.
And so history always repeats itself.
Because Fjerda will never see the Grisha as anything other than witches, abominations which need to be eliminated and burned at the pyres. Because Shu-Han will never see the Grisha as anything other than ju, tools, something less than animal and little more than a means to further their science.
As tsar and tsaritsa, Aleksander and Alina do not always participate in battles. Skirmishes along the borders are mostly left to their armies, and Alina hates it but understands its necessity – they have a nation to rule, and they cannot simply leave Os Alta for every single assault.
But for the biggest campaigns – most likely to be the hardest and bloodiest – they always, always join. Very rarely only one of them, because Alina hates staying at the capital like a trophy wife and she can go mad with worry, and Aleksander would sooner cut off his own tongue than let her go off to a hard battle on her own. They leave their commander of the Second Army in charge – once Zoya, now a talented Inferni by the name of Tania – and do their best to reach a ceasefire with as little casualties on their side as possible.
Such is the case with their current campaign, which had been running for months. They are all exhausted – mentally and physically, although there had been a minimum of losses. But the Fjerdans refuse to reach any sort of understanding, because they claim their heir to the throne had been assassinated by a Ravkan Grisha.
Well, it can’t be said that never happened. But on this occasion, it really had been no agent or ally of theirs.
And so Alina finds herself standing next to Aleksander, an entire battalion consisting of two-hundred Second Army and one-hundred First Army soldiers behind them. Her hand is splayed wide in front of her, palm facing forward and effortlessly holding a shield of light wide enough to cover them from left to right, against which a relentless wave of bullets has been bouncing for almost a minute now. On her arm is a blueish fetter, and on her neck is a collar of antlers. Her hair is pulled up into a messy but regal updo on the crown of her head, and her gold kefta infused with black intricate designs would have glistened in the light, if there had been more than the dimness of twilight.
Next to her, Aleksander is standing tall, clad in his customary black kefta. He has not donned his winter cloak, because its heaviness could be a hindrance in battle that even he cannot afford. Around his feet shadows slither about in messy, chaotic waves that do not reach his knees, which Alina is pretty sure he’s not even aware of.
It doesn’t matter. Soon, they will be plenty useful.
She glances at him, and Aleksander catches her gaze and holds. His dark eyes are burning – with rage, righteous fury, and fatigue. Their people are dying, and this entire madness is not stopping.
So they will make it stop.
Alina gives him an almost imperceptible nod, and along their tether she sends a strong wave of conviction.
Of love.
Aleksander’s eyes almost soften, but he only nods in return. Alina doesn’t need any more – she knows him, knows his feelings, knows the strength of the emotion for her and only her that she’s feeling from his side of the tether. She only watches him, her arm unwavering in front of her, and believes that this is what’s necessary.
Aleksander closes his eyes – and raises both hands slowly along his sides, palms opened wide and pointed at the sky. Alina fights not to shudder as black lines climb up her husband’s neck almost in sync with the slow, almost inaudible murmur of words she can only hear because of their close proximity. Nonsense, to her – she had never bothered to learn Old Ravkan – but the meaning is clear enough.
Merzost.
Behind them, next to them and in front of them, shadows gather in gentle pools. Too numerous to count. Slowly, they raise and build into forms that resemble small hurricanes – and then, faces are formed.
Gaping, horrendous faces, devoid of features. Hands with clear claws, legs that have no clear borders or ends. Their body – if it can even be called a body  – does not stay still, as their form is constantly moving and twirling. And if Alina focuses enough, it almost seems as if they suck the little light around them.
The nichevo’ya.
The barrage of bullets has stopped. Alina does not let go, though. She simply waits, ignores the sound of their soldiers inhaling in fear, and breathes.
A few moments later, Aleksander opens his eyes and murmurs, “Now.”
Alina closes her hand into a fist.
Her shield of light disperses into nothing.
And with a flick of her husband’s finger, the nichevoy’a charge.
Around them, everything turns into utter chaos.
With battle cries – some cries of long live Ravka, others of long live the King and For the Sol Koroleva – their soldiers attack. They barely even get past Alina and Aleksander’s line before the Fjerdans scream start, but they do not stop. They are trained well, and they have been briefed to know the shadow creatures will not harm them.
The tsar and tsaritsa do not move.
Aleksander is focused on directing the nichevo’ya, Alina knows. They are not mindless creatures, but fortunately neither are they independent.
Alina herself does not need to shift in order to do quite a lot of damage.
Her arms barely move as cut after cut fly in front of her, hitting only enemies. Sometimes the cut is in the form of a thin blade, and at other times in the form of a spear – she does not think of it, lets her instincts take hold. They have rarely disappointed her before.
And so it begins.
And progresses, slowly but steadily. Everything seems in control – Squallers at the sides, sending Fjerdans flying off their feet; Inferni in the middle, setting as many drüskelle on fire as they can reach; Heartrenders behind, hands twisting in the air in front of them, inflicting as much damage on the Fjerdans’ bodies as possible.
And then, next to her, Aleksander stumbles.
Alina’s eyes immediately snap to him – and she can feel her heart literally stopping, breath catching in her chest, as her gaze focuses on the side of his neck. His hand is already on it, but it does not matter, because his fingers cannot stop the flow of blood streaming into his neckline.
For a moment, they both stand, frozen. Around them, the sounds of battle fade to almost nothing, and Alina doesn’t care, cannot care, not when they have somehow failed to prepare for this, and she doesn’t know what to do –
Aleksander falls to his knees, as if in slow motion, and Alina finally reacts.
Her mind is screaming no, no, no no no no no, but her arm is already thrown forward again, and a small dome of light surrounds them as she drops to her knees next to her husband. She grabs his hand with her free arm and gently pulls it away, and inhales deeply at the sight in front of her, horrified.
A bullet has torn cleanly through the side of Aleksander’s neck, and Alina wouldn’t be surprised if it had at the very least nicked his carotid artery. The blood is flowing at a truly scary rate, and yet it does not completely hide the literal hole in front of Alina’s face. She knows that if she does not find a way to slow the bleeding, he could be dead in a matter of minutes – before she manages to get him to a healer.
Dead, dead, dead.
Forced to spend the rest of her life, alone. Eternal. Cold. Without his arms to hold her at night, without the comforting feeling of being enveloped in his presence. Without the utter pleasure of their slow, blinding thrusts.
Without his love.
No.
Aleksander is trying to turn his head to her, and for the first time she notices that his bloodied hand is closed around her arm, her gold kefta stained red. “Stop,” she commands, voice shaking. “Sasha, stop moving.”
He stops.
And Alina acts. “This is going to hurt,” she whispers. “I’m sorry.”
Without thinking about it too much – it might not work, this wound is too big, it is more than possible that he has still lost too much blood, she also needs to focus on keeping the shield of light around them, somehow – Alina lets go of Aleksander’s hand, places her open palm on the gaping wound, and, closing her eyes, pushes at her power.
------------------
When I finish it, if I like it, I’ll probably post it to AO3. For now it’s simply an idea that formed in my mind during a pretty boring meeting at work and played in it during its entire duration. I took some creative libertives here, of course.
Opinions? Thoughts?

Heyyy! I saw you take requests! Imagine: werewolfves, vampires, winged humans and other fantasy/mythological creatures exist (Dungen&dragon races maybe?), What would your favorite Karasuno character(s) be? And, already a happy new year! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧
Happy New Year!🎉🎆 I think I'm gonna do all of Karasuno bc they all deserve love and I just love all the Haikyuu characters!!!!! And thank you for putting in a request this is my first!!!!!! Wooohoo!!
Karasuno as D&D
(Or what I think they would be)
Daichi Sawamura
When I think of Daichi I think of a very stout, hardy person.
I know he's 176 or so cm but he's very built and in personality and physical build, sturdy
I also see him very hardworking
Daichi seems very dependable but in a chaotic way
Like he really wants to help but he also simultaneously has NO idea what he's doing
But also I can see him loving the world, people, and animals and nature
A protector but maybe a slight loner or the leader of a group, no inbetween
I honestly think he would be either a Dwarf (the only problem I have with this one is is that I don't view Daichi as a materialistic person like a Dwarf to want gold everything and whatnot) or a Firebolg
I feel either of these could fit him since they are very hardworking and sturdy people. But I lean toward firebolgs more since they are kinda calmer natural people if that makes sense??????
Daichi by no means is a calm and just no worries kind of guy but, I feel like he does have a slow and steady wins the race
Daichi is wise and strong and could live a calm and natural life like a Firebolg
Living with the animals and helping them but also living with a tribe of his people
Koushi Sugawara
I look at Suga as a very loving person that in his own chaotic way tries to help everybody
A mom friend if you will
I also see him getting close with few people a being very ride or die
He also seems a bit like a home body, like he enjoys staying home and being comfortable
Thats why I chose either a Gnome or Hafling
Gnomes are of a tight knit community and are very enthusiastic about life. Learning and building what they can
Building things to help their community and ending the day with a well earned drink with friends and family
Haflings love home comforts
Sitting by the fire and reading a good book
Doing some gardening and whatnot
But some travel and learn and grow intellectually
I think either of these would suit Suga
I can't stop imagining him as a Gnome with little goggles as he works on something small and metal with gears or him sitting in little Hafling attire or some pjs by a fire with some mead in one hand and a good book in the other
Asahi Azumane
I view Asahi as one of my personal favorite tropes of really big and scary but actually a sweet, bumbling mess/really small and adorable but could actually tortures you in a million different ways
Asahi is such a gentle giant but can get serious when he needs to
I also see him as someone very natural and loves nature/animals
That's why I picked either Triton or Genasi (the only thing about Genasi is they're super confident and Asahi very much is not)
Triton are water folk and outsiders (people think Asahi is scary and unapproachable)
They also have good relations with giant seahorses, Hippocampi, and sea lions
Can you imagine Asahi riding a Hippocampus with his gorgeous hair flowing in the waves of the water 😳 muah *chefs kiss* majestic
Anyways 😆
I also see him as a Genasi because they're kinda mysterious people with such a strong connection to nature and elemental energies
But I think he would specifically be an Earth Genasi bc they don't tend to make rash and are superior in strength and solid power
Yū Nishinoya
The little adorable ball of thunderous chaos
Noya seems like someone who loves to cause chaos but NEVER hurt anyone
He wants to have a good time but most people can't quite handle his version of a good time
Thats why I chose Satyr for Noya
Satyrs have the loose construct of a civilization and the wild urges of animals and beasts
Noya is a very independent person but will stick to very particular people
Satyrs are similar
They also view everyone as either a body to dance with, poor soul the mess with, or a sober mind to get absolutely hammered with
Ryūnoske Tanaka
Ryū is just such an awesome character to me
He is the real ride or die never gonna give up on you kind of person
I am not throwing any hate onto the other second years IN THE SLIGHTEST but Ryū did stay the whole time
And yet he seems, to me, to constantly need to prove his self worth
This is why I think he would be either a Human or a Lizardman
Humans are a young race and feel like, in their short lives they need to prove themselves
This drive causes them to be adaptable innovators and pioneers
Bu~ut I also think he would be good among the Lizardfolk
They have their own set of personal rules that they live by that aren't exactly conventional to most other races
Also they can be very food driven who isn't tho
Chikara Ennoshita, Hisashi Kinnoshita, Kazuhito Narita
All three give off similar vibes to me (not just cause they're background characters)
All three feel pretty chill and laid back but like their hardworkers once they have the right motivation
The three of them seem passive as well
Doing what they're told without much question but also like severe outsiders (I know they close themselves off from the others on purpose a bit bc they left and feel guilty)
So I chose Changelings for these three
Changelings are generally harmless, passive beings without interest in other races political affairs
But bc of this most others find them not trustworthy
They kind of don't have their own culture and just slip into other societies
I feel like these three did this with the volleyball team bc they didn't show them ever having some kind grand dream or ambitions
They just kind of float along with certain people they're comfortable with
Tobio Kageyama
Kageyama is a very independent character at heart
It's not that he WANTS to be a lonely necessarily, I feel, but that he wants to prove himself so much and constantly that he pushes people away
Even after he learned about relying on people and what it means to be a team
He stills feels like he should be able to do it himself
I feel like there is an ever constant duality in him
That's why I think he'd be a Half Elf
Human/elf mixes never really belong anywhere bc they either age faster than there elven peers or watch as their human loved ones age and die off much faster than themselves
This is why Half elf/humans keep to themselves
But for Kageyama, I feel if he had never met Hinata, Daichi, Suga, Ryū, or any of them, he would've isolated himself on accident from everyone
Shoyo Hinata
Shoyo is very impulsive but does extremely well with others
He is definitely social and NEEDS to have other people to watch his back
He has shown to be aggressive and super competitive with other players
But he forms strong bonds with those he really cares about
I feel like he would be, specifically a Longtooth Shifter
These shifters specifically are aggressive towards others they are not close to
But are deeply invested in those they have chosen to share their time with
They also are Lupine/dog based beings
And Shoyo definitely has a very dog like personality
They also are more pack oriented than other shifters
They have teamwork and group fluidity
Kei Tsukishima
Tsukishima a very stereotypical character but written in THE BEST WAY
He's that stereotype of antagonist to ally or prude outcast to reliable friend
This was caused by the circumstances of him finding out the situation with his brother
So he decided that no one could be trusted with Yamaguchi as an exception
Elf or Tiefling, did you really expect anything else? 😜
Elven people are very reserved a set themselves apart most of the time from other races, generally thinking of them as inferior or untrustworthy to be around the knowledge Elven people possess
Like Tsukishima they think themselves above other beings with a few that choose to live with with humans
Tieflings are forced away from other races
Because of a past sin that has changed them to look slightly different from others, they are shunned
I relate what happened when Tieflings became a different bloodline of humans to what happened between Kei and his older brother Akiteru
Tsukishimas rejection of companionship is something he does himself, but it is a form of mistrust towards others to not lie to him like he once was
Both Elven and Tieflings are very intelligent in their own differing ways
Elven are very well read and prestigious
Tieflings are good at slight of hand and swindling others bc of the rough cards they've been dealt in life
Tadashi Yamaguchi
Tadashi is a very different person than from what people make him out to be
Everybody makes him out to be an uwu ooga booga baby child that needs protecting
But he's not
That's not to say he doesn't have a large, warm and welcoming heart but he's NOT weak by any means
He's strong and he eventually becomes independent from Tsukishima and doesn't have to be codependent
Tadashi Yamaguchi is an amazing hardworker that is learning about the world and is trying to better himself slowly day by day
But there is the soft, kind and helpful side of him that would just do anything for a struggling stranger
That's why I chose either a Tortle or Kobold
I see him being maybe a Tortles that lives a simple life filled with schedules and living a very ritualistic life
They live simply and are very personable beings
But there's also Kobolds who are dragon like creatures that are INWARDLY aggressive but are industrious beings
They hate larger beings as they're short but will show respect if need to but would show backhanded and passive aggressive ways to show their displeasure
They also don't like direct confrontation and would rather entrapt another creature or being than directly fight them
They are also cunning and have a knack for plan making with which they share through out their entire tribe
Kiyoko Shimizu
I see Kiyoko as a very dependable person but also very independent and very strong and strong willed
Basically a feminine icon, honestly
She can do just about everything but seemingly has her own agenda
You're very lucky if her agenda should happen to align with you and your goals because she is an indestructible force not to be dealt with lightly
And yet, she is above all else a women
Feminine, beautiful, and incredibly amazing (as all women are)
I chose Aasimar for Kiyoko
Aasimar are beings that are often descendants of celestial or higher beings
They generally hold good morals and are justice deliverers
They generally serve a guardians of law that strike at evil, lead by example, and dish out justice where it is needed
They are cautious of others and sometimes misunderstood as they did what they do what they believed to be right
Aasimars are also extremely empathetic and are often times hurt by the prejudice they suffer in early years as many don't like what they don't understand
Hitoka Yachi
Yachi IS NOT THE SOFT, DEFENSLESS, CRYBABY EVERYBODY MAKES HER OUT TO BE
Yachi is shy and nervous but that is only bc she was accidentally persuaded into an intimidating world of giants
And for a short and petite framed girlt hat is TERRIFYING at first
But Yachi stepped up to the plate and batted away everyone's shit expectations for her because she rose to become an amazing manager for the team
She became independent from her mother's harsh ideas of her and showed her how powerful she can be
She may be small but she is truly mighty
This is why I picked Centaurs for her
Centaurs are the swiftest out of the humanoids and build peaceful communities
They hunt what and where they wish, as they generally move after a few years in one place, move
They highly value personal choice and individuality among their tribes
They also love and worship nature, many wanting to devote themselves to a higher power and/or become druids
They generally bear no ill will towards anyone unless the opposers strike first
Thank you @popcorntime-doodles for giving me my first request I hope you like this and I hope I did a good job
Again this is just my opinion and how I see the characters and the many races of D&D
Also again I do request I have a character masterlist in my bio ❤

Springtime Surprises (Loki x Sigyn)
It was a usual day in the household of Loki and Sigyn. It was springtime, Sigyn’s favorite time of year. The flowers were in bloom, there were birds chirping. It was the season of rebirth. Everything was bright and colorful, boosting everyone’s moods. The boys were outside for as long as they could, getting into every mischievous situation they could.
So, this shouldn’t have been surprising for Sigyn. She was sitting on an old knitted blanket, made by her mother, bouncing Ragna up and down as she giggled, trying to grab Sigyn’s hair. Loki came out moments later, smiling as he picked up Ragna, peppering her with kisses. They sat together, in the quiet. They’re life was very chaotic, so quiet was strange.
They watched the boys run, barely able to see them over the tall grass. She saw them looking on the ground, for bugs most likely. They had brought spiders, centipedes, caterpillars, moths, and worms inside. It shouldn’t have been shocking, as mischief was in their blood. Sigyn would look over at Loki, with a look of ‘you started this, you finish it.’ It was a look Loki had to admit was entertaining. What wasn’t entertaining was sitting the boys down to say, “stop bringing strange creatures inside the house, it’s scaring your mother.”
Sigyn laid her head on Loki’s shoulder, cuddling up to him. His hair was long, to about his shoulders, and it curled at the end. When Loki was younger, he always slicked it back, and Sigyn would nod exasperatedly because they way his hair curled was adorable, but he couldn’t have been seen as adorable.
Now the boys had his curls that scrunched up so tight. It framed their chubby little faces. While they looked so much like Loki, Sigyn’s bright blue eyes shown clearly on them, with Vali’s cheeks littered with freckles. Narvi’s cheeks were rosier, while Vali’s were very pale, like Lokes.
She looked down at Ragna, who was laying in Loki’s lap as he gently ran his fingers through her blonde curls. She was a spitting image of Sigyn, with the rosy cheeks and freckles, but she had bright green eyes, identical to Loki’s. Sigyn felt calm, rubbing her hand down Loki’s back. She was awoken from her thoughts when she heard the boys yell.
“Mommy, daddy look!” Sigyn looked worriedly at Loki as they quickly got up, running towards the boys. They were in the forest, in a dirt area. The boys were kneeling near a bush. Sigyn had no clue what they were looking at, then she saw Narvi’s hands.
There was an egg, only about the size of a grape, cradled in Narvi’s hand. Sigyn knelt next to Narvi, cupping his hands.
“Where did you find this?” It was so unbelievable small, Sigyn felt her eyes were playing a trick on her. Eggs couldn’t be that small?
“It was laying near that bush. All the other eggs were broken and cracked. He’s the only one left.” Sigyn looked over at Vali, who had a sour expression on his face. “What do you think got the others?”
“It was likely a mongoose or a fox. It’s in their nature buddy, nothing could’ve stopped it.” Loki ruffled Vali’s hair, trying to cheer him up.
“Mommy, can we keep it? Please.” They both pleaded. Sigyn rolled her eyes, looking over at Loki, who just had a grin on his face. He had already given in; she knew their big begging eyes had already melted him. She knew because when she gave him those eyes, he melted the same way.
“Alright, we can keep it. But once it hatches, we have to release it.” The boys nodded quickly, moving towards the house, Loki and Sigyn trailing behind the rambunctious kids. Sigyn put the egg near the fire to keep it warm in a knitted blanket. The boys sat staring at it, muttering quietly to themselves. Ragna was asleep on Loki’s shoulder as he patted her back, listening to her soft snores. They both smiled as they grew curious at what the boys were discussing.
“What are you guys arguing about?” Chuckled Sigyn, looking at the boys disgruntled looks. They sat for a second before Vali muttered, “I say it’s a baby hummingbird, while Narvi says it’s a lizard.”
“Both are acceptable answers.” Loki replied. “Personally, looks like a gecko, but it could be anything.”
As the days went by, Sigyn felt herself checking up on the egg, seeing if it was okay. It must’ve been her maternal instincts. Loki looked occasionally. It was about a week later that Narvi yelled.
“Something’s happening. I think it’s hatching.” Everyone crowded around the egg, Ragna asleep in her bassinet. They looked down. Surely enough it was hatching. Narvi and Vali’s eyes were glued to it, staring intently at the tiny egg. Slowly, a small green reptile slithered out.
“It’s a baby snake.” Muttered Loki. Sigyn was shocked. The snake looked just like Loki’s seidr.
“Wow, I didn’t expect a snake to be so small.” Narvi and Vali hovered over it, gently petting it. Sigyn felt her heart strings pulling seeing her boys paying so much loving attention on the little snake. “What should we name him?”
Everyone looked over at Sigyn in shock. She wasn’t one to keep pets, especially wild snakes. The boys smiled widely as they pulled their mom into a hug, thanking her repeatedly.
“I think we should call him Jor, short for Jormungandr.” Muttered Vali, holding the little snake in his chubby hands. Loki looked at his son, shocked that he remembered the name of his brother, one he would never meet. Loki nodded, huddling his boys together.
“I think that’s a great name for him. It’s just perfect, like you two.” He mumbled as he kissed them both on the forehead. They set up a little glass house for him, with branches and vines for him to climb on. They set it up in the boys’ room, feeding it insects and giving it water. The boys loved him so much, and Sigyn and Loki loved seeing their boys dote on the tiny reptile. They would hold him and talk to him about their days. Narvi would take him outside to search for bugs for Jor, while Vali would set him in his lap on his bed while he was reading. Sometimes he would read to Jor.
As they got the boys tucked in, Loki noticed the reminiscent smile on Sigyn’s face. They kissed the boys’ foreheads and whispered goodnight to them. They told them they loved them, and they whispered goodnight to Jor too, for good measure. It made the boys smile.
Sigyn and Loki laid in bed, Loki with a book in hand, Sigyn working on knitting. She stopped, looking over at Loki and smiling. Loki saw it from the corner of his eye and realized the curious gazes he kept getting from her.
“What’s that look for?” He smiled as he leaned towards her, beginning to kiss her cheek, trailing down her neck. “It’s the look of remembering when you used to turn into a snake just like Jor and slither into my room and curl up with me. You would show up everywhere I was, just doing your thing. You’d crawl into my bag in the market to explore. You know, when we were still courting.” Loki laughed as she laid on his chest.
“Or when the boys would cry, and I’d change so they could sit in awe and look at the pretty colors. Always got them to stop crying.” He felt Sigyn’s body shake with laughter. “I haven’t changed in a while, have I?” Sigyn shook her head as they both lulled themselves to sleep, remembering the times when they were young and curious.
It was a few days later that Sigyn felt a little snake slither up her shoulder, curling up near her ear. She felt its tiny tongue on her cheek. She grinned as she stroked its emerald green scales, a gold tint to them. The snake cuddled up on her shoulder.
Great, now she had two snakes to take care of.

Spiritual Spotlight: Chucaro, Maiden of Haze and Whimsy
Tumblr media
Chaotic Good Azata Empyreal Lord of Dreams, Hallucinations, and Mists
Domains: Chaos, Good, Madness, Magic Subdomains: Azata, Insanity, Revelry, Whimsy
Chronicles of the Righteous, pg. 10
Obedience: Drape yourself in gauze and eat hallucinogenic mushrooms or fungi while meditating on the teachings of Chucaro. Benefit: Gain a +4 sacred bonus on saving throws against poison.
I can’t recall having ever seen a Good-aligned god of drugs (though Pathfinder does contain two or three Good deities of madness!), so this is a refreshing change of pace. Rather than demonize the whole practice, Chucaro here advocates for responsible and safe use, like what you have to do when performing your Obedience! Somewhat restrictive in that you can only munch hallucinogenic mushrooms, of which very few are actually statted out (rather than the more commonly available Flayleaf), leading to the necessity of DM fiat. You can always get around the complication by growing your own fungi in a dank terrarium in your Bag of Holding, or you could plop a bunch of ranks in Survival to always be able to scavenge up a nice loopyshroom no matter your environment.
In times of troubles when you can’t find some good fungi, I think Chucaro would allow you any old hallucinogen, such as the commonly available Pesh (and, again, Flayleaf). This is definitely one of the Obediences you can’t do if denied your inventory, though, as it also requires a bit of gauze--not enough to wrap yourself up, but just enough to ‘drape yourself’ in it, making you look kind of like you walked into a spiderweb. The gauze and ingesting of hallucinogens also makes it one of the better Obediences to do just before you go to bed rather than when you first wake up; as a goddess whose portfolio includes drug-induced dreams, I’m sure she’d appreciate your before-bed trip as well.
The benefit is one we’ve seen before. It’s a little on the weaker side, but preventing stat damage from poison will save you and your party some gold in the long run, and it means the casters will have one or two extra spell slots available that would have otherwise been used on Neutralize Poison. Ironically, it doesn’t prevent you from becoming addicted to your nightly fungus crunching, because addiction is, mechanically, a disease! Be careful!
Boons are gained slowly, typically achieved once you reach 12, 16, and 20 Hit Dice. Followers of the Empyreal Lords, however, can enter the Mystery Cultist Prestige Class at level 8, which grants them their Boons much quicker! Entered as early as possible, you gain the Boons at levels 10, 13, and 16 instead. Mystery Cultists MUST take the Celestial Obedience feat, NOT Deific Obedience.
Empyreal Lords do not grant the typical Evangelist/Exalted/Sentinel spread, instead having only one set of Boons granted to their followers regardless of their class.
Boon 1: Kaleidoscopic Images. Gain Color spray 3/day, Hypnotic Pattern 2/day, or Gaseous Form 1/day.
I’ve stated multiple times in past articles that Gaseous Form’s biggest weakness is the absolutely crippling movespeed reduction it slaps you with, capping your cloudy shape at 10ft/round, limiting its use as an effective scouting tool or a method of escaping some nasty situation, except perhaps in the rare cases where you have access to vents or a window out of a preposterously tall tower. The actions you can perform while gaseous are painfully limited, and it can’t even really be used to stealth around since you still look like you, just cloudy.
Plus, it’s up against Color Spray and Hypnotic Pattern. Both of them excel in knocking minions out of the fight, with Pattern’s 10+2d4 HD limit potentially lets it affect boss-level monsters, or at least their larger minions, freezing them in place for as long as you can keep concentrating on the effect. Not only is it useful in battle, but throwing it out as a distraction before a fight even begins can work as well, keeping a guard’s eyes off you or redirecting the attention of civilians elsewhere.
And Color Spray? A classic, always useful... Provided you don’t mind getting within 15ft of your enemy, or multiple enemies. It’s at its most powerful at low levels, but you’re going to be at 10 when you finally get this power, so its saving throw (11+Cha) is struggling to keep up with the enemy’s rapidly growing saves. At its best, it’s a 1-round stun against foes kind enough to line up in a 15ft cone. At its worst, you’ve essentially gotten into melee range of your foe. I’d stick with Hypnotic Pattern.
Boon 2: Wispy Form. Your body becomes misty when you are under attack, diluting the damage of edged weapons. Though outwardly you appear the same, you gain DR 5/bludgeoning.
This is one of those Boons that’s great, but difficult to talk about since it’s a simple mechanical bonus with little room for creativity. It’s a one-size-fits-all Boon that benefits literally any class it’s slapped on, subtracting 5 damage from pretty much every melee attack (characters with bludgeoning weapons are remarkably uncommon--swords are cool!) you see coming your way. You want it as a frontliner because it’s extra protection, you want it as a midliner because it makes getting caught out easier to handle, and you definitely want it as a backlner because suddenly taking physical damage likely means your life is about to meet an abrupt end. Having 5 whole free DR against the most common physical damage types can be a world of difference!
That’s all I can really say here, unfortunately, because at the end of the day it is just a simple buff.
Boon 3: Terrible Reverie. 1/day, you can cast Weird.
And this, this is much more fun to talk about. We haven’t seen Weird as a Boon before, and one look at what it actually does may give you a hint as to why: It’s a mass Phantasmal Killer with no limit to the number of creatures it can target. Far from the pathetically crunched version some people may get disappointed by in 5e, Pathfinder’s Weird is the widest Save-Or-Die effect available to players, able to affect entire crowds so long as none of them are more than 30ft apart and plucking their lives from them in a single instant. To say you can clear a room is an understatement; you can clear an entire city if it’s densely packed enough.
Good thing you’re a good guy!
It’s not all sunshine, roses, and horrifying death, though. Phantasmal Killer has some pretty hefty downsides: namely, it’s a mind-affecting, emotion, AND fear effect, meaning it’s unlikely to affect higher-end Outsiders and is utterly useless against Constructs, Undead, Plants, and most Oozes and Vermin. However, it’s notably NOT a death effect, so creatures relying on immunity to instant death effects without making themselves immune to mental attacks is still vulnerable to Weird.
The other biggest weakness is that Phantasmal Killer and, thus, Weird require the subject to fail two saves, first a Will save to fail to realize the illusion is an illusion, and second a Fortitude save to keep from having a fatal heart attack as fear overwhelms them. The good news is that succeeding the Fortitude save still causes the target to take 3d6 damage, 1d4 Str damage, and become stunned for 1 round, so it’s still potentially a Save-Or-Suck if your party can capitalize on the enemy losing their next turn.
The third but perhaps most dangerous weakness, however, is that if the victim of Weird succeeds the Will save to disbelieve the illusion and they possess telepathy, they can send the attack back to you and force you to make a save against it. Now, I can’t find any particulars on how Weird’s mass-terror interacts with this particular rule from Phantasmal Killer, but for the sake of safety, I would avoid hurling into a crowd of minions with telepathy, lest they force you to make dozens of saves to avoid being terrified to death.
Still a good spell, but just be careful with who you send it against!
You can read more about Chucaro here.

She frequently wears black fishnet tights, and black heeled ankle boots. Her hair is usually worn down. As for jewelry, she has a necklace with a gold key that unlocks a box full of Vance's childhood memories that he hid for her before he disappeared, mostly of the two of them. She also wears large gold hoops in each of the two piercings, and a gold stud in her cartilage. Makeup-wise she wears dark red lipstick, blush, and heavy dark eyeshadow and mascara. If she hadn't been cursed she might not wear any makeup at all, but as it is, she's insecure about how pale she is and wants to bring some color back to her face

Favorite Professors:
- Professor McGonagall: Despite not being her Head of House, Gracie would much rather turn to McGonagall for advice than Snape. She appreciates McGonagall's teaching style, and her relative lack of prejudice about house/upbringing
- Madam Hooch: When Gracie was first cursed, Madam Hooch was the one to help her calm down and start to accept her changed appearance. Hooch's yellow eyes and whiteish hair are not common either, so the similarities and Hooch's successful life helped Gracie see that she would be okay
Least Favorite Professors:
- Professor Snape: Gracie has never liked her Head of House. Snape is cruel to many of her classmates, grades based on his own opinion of the student, and makes learning in the classroom nearly impossible
- Professor Dumbledore: In the beginning, she didn't mind him, but as the years went on and he proved to be more and more useless during dangerous times, Gracie lost all respect for him. The final straw was when he told her that none of this would have happened if she had left it alone, because she knew that this wasn't her fault and if not for her people would be dead (Redacted's death doesn't happen in my canon)
Relationships
Twin Sister: Tessa Gracie Chiva
- Tessa is younger by eight and a half minutes
- Despite them being the same age, Gracie feels much older and more mature than her sister
- Tessa quit everything to do with the vaults after defeating the second one in third year, so she hasn't seen the horrors that Gracie has
- As such, Gracie feels extremely protective to her sister and tries to always keep her safe, far away from any danger. This is part of why she runs away in seventh year
- Gracie hasn't told Tessa about her crazes and unnatural sadistic urges yet. Tessa finds out a little information shortly before Gracie disappears
- Gracie loves her sister more than anyone else. When they fight, she's always the first one to start crying. She would do anything to protect Tessa, whether it be suffer immense torture, die, anything
- She's also jealous of Tessa's relative innocence
Older Brother: Vance Riley Chiva
- He's five years older than the twins
- As a little girl, Gracie worshipped Vance. He was older and cool, and he spoiled her
- The news of Vance's disappearance shattered her heart, and when she found the key, she spent hours going through all of the memories using her mother's pensieve
- Gracie's main motivation to start looking for the vaults was to find Vance. After finding him and seeing how different he was, she stopped caring about him and only continued to protect Tessa and her friends
- The first spell Gracie learned outside of class was the sticking charm, which she used to stick the clasp of her necklace to the back of her neck. She doesn't undo the spell until the very end of sixth year, when she loses all hope of getting her brother back
- The love she once felt turns to hate fast, but she can't bring herself to throw the key away, so she gives it to Tessa
Younger Cousin: Aiden Carter Darkling
- Aiden is the son of Rachel Chiva, Jason's sister. Rachel and Aiden's father divorced while he was still young, but it was relatively amicable and he comes around for holidays
- Gracie tutors Aiden and a couple of his friends in Potions
- She's always had a liking for the kid. She sees a bit of herself in him, from before she was lost to the vaults
- They aren't the closest, but other than (some of) her immediate family, Aiden is the only family member Gracie doesn't hate
Mother: Clarissa Vanessa Black
- Clarissa passed on her Legilimency to her children
- Gracie's relationship with her mother is strained these days
- They're actually closer than they used to be, with Gracie's favorite parent having been her father as a kid
- Clarissa legally separates from Jason after his arrest, and once she's wiped her hands of him, she and Gracie get closer
- Gracie knows about her mother's girlfriend. Clarissa's upbringing made her too afraid to ever come out, but she's bisexual and began dating her childhood friend Margaret (again) after Jason was arrested
- Gracie also knows that Margaret's husband didn't die of illness, but she never tells anyone that Margaret poisoned him because she had good reason to
- The silent acknowledgement of "I know about you and you know I know but we won't mention it" is the main sense of closeness she and her mother have
- They'll never be as close as they should be, but Gracie does love her mother and her mother does love her
Father: Jason Harvey Chiva
- Similarly to Vance, Gracie loved her father a lot as a kid and looked up to him
- He was an Auror, and a good one. She would beg to visit his office with him and learn about cases
- Despite being pureblood and approving of the Death Eaters, Jason was loving toward his children and never brought up his past
- Jason began acting strangely after she was cursed, but Gracie ignored it
- All the love Gracie felt for her father vanished the day she watched him murder their family friend, a week before she turned thirteen
- After turning him in to his Auror partner, Thomas, they discovered that Jason had killed eleven people in his search to find out who cursed his daughter
- Thus began Gracie's horrible trust issues. Even Vance hadn't ruined her ability to trust completely, but after her father the only two options were trust completely, or not trust at all. Gracie has never trusted another authority figure since (and also has major daddy issues)
- Gracie kills Jason when he escapes from his transfer (she's twenty two). She hates herself for it, but not because it was her father - he deserved it. She's upset that she broke her promise to never kill anyone again after Rakepick (even though both were totally justified - Jason tried to kill Margaret and Rakepick tried to kill most of her friends)
Love Interest: Merula Snyde
- In first year Gracie hated Merula. Merula was mean to Gracie's new friends and was boastful about being the best even though she clearly wasn't, and it was obnoxious having to share a dorm with her
- In second year it gets a bit worse, but then it gets a bit better too. It gets to the point where they don't hate each other and can coexist peacefully, but they still dislike each other
- Then third year starts
- Gracie gets off the train, grabs her stuff, starts heading for the castle, and bumps into Merula
- Merula snaps at her
- Instead of being annoyed, however, Gracie is frozen staring into Merula's eyes with a jolt in her heart
- Well, shit
- Gracie spends that whole year conflicted about if it was actually a crush, or if it was just strange feelings from a strange situation, and eventually lands on being bisexual and indeed having a crush on this girl she used to hate.
- She knows she's bisexual and not a lesbian because she had a small crush on one of the boys in her neighborhood, but that fades pretty quickly after getting back to school
- In fourth year, it starts becoming more apparent that Merula shares her feelings
- Gracie takes a risk and asks her to the Celestial Ball, and Merula says yes
- She and Merula had a lot of fun at the ball, and Gracie's heart nearly exploded during the slow dance
- A week later, Rowan is pissed with the pining and rants about it to Ismelda of all people, who then tells Merula to ask Gracie out before she gets murdered
- Merula does, very hesitantly, and they have their first proper date a few days later. It's awkward and they're scared, but once they open up it's easy to tell everything is mutual
- They have their first kiss that summer while Merula is visiting Gracie
- Fifth year, the night before going into the Portrait Vault, Gracie and Merula are awake, terrified that they'll die the next day
- An impulsive decision leads them to the Room of Requirement (Tessa had found it by accident the year before) and they lose their virginity together
- They don't die, and surviving together brings them closer
- Sixth year problems arise
- Merula is losing her mind, trying to be independent and refusing to be at all affectionate in public, but still clinging to Gracie at night with nightmares
- Gracie also wants Rakepick's head to rot on a stake, but Merula is letting her anger control her and Gracie doesn't know how to help her
- When Gracie runs away in seventh year, Merula will go insane
- When Gracie comes back, Merula will punch her in the face and then hold her close and not let go for over an hour
Best Friend: Rowan Khanna
- Gracie met Rowan in Ollivander's. Rowan walked in just as Ollivander told Gracie her wand wood and Rowan excitedly declared that they had to be best friends
- Being young and relatively sheltered, Gracie said alright because she didn't know how friends really worked
- They did become very close pretty quickly
- They wrote each other letters every day until school started
- Rowan is the only one to know the full extent of Gracie's curse, because she forced it out of her
- Rowan can be pretty scary when she wants to be
- They both know things about the other that no one else does, and they can (and have) talked about everything, even extremely uncomfortable subjects
- Gracie is almost scared by Rowan's level of loyalty, but tries to show her the same
- Gracie mentioned being terrified to be cornered by Rakepick or someone else, so Rowan didn't leave her side at all for a week
- The next time Rowan said something about being afraid, Gracie did the same thing
- Rowan made Gracie teach her the blood healing spell in case Gracie ever can't come back from a craze in time
- The two of them are so close Merula was at one point pretty jealous, but she can recognize that they're just very close friends
Rival: Olivia Green
- The first time Gracie heard of Olivia was when Vance complained about her dating Duncan
- After learning about the vaults and Olivia's involvement with Vance and Duncan, Gracie was determined to find out what happened to her. It takes until seventh year to find out
- (this could all change depending on where Jam City takes the story, but this is where I'm going for now)
- Olivia joined R a year before Duncan died, two years before Vance got trapped in the Portrait. She knew how bad they were, but R was the only place she felt she could grow her power and protect what little she had left, so she faked her own death in order to not be caught by any professors or other authority
- Neither Vance nor Duncan know she's alive
- Over the years Olivia grew cold and ruthless, but she still has a small soft spot for her old friends
- Gracie tries to hate Olivia for everything she's done, but can't help but agree with her reasoning
- Olivia is the one who convinces Gracie to join up with R in seventh year, which is when they end up becoming good friends instead of rivals
School Rival: Diego Caplan
- Gracie hates this boy with everything she has
- He's a flirt with no shame and an ego stretching for miles
- Every time he duels her she makes sure to kick his ass extra hard
- She really doesn't like that he and Tessa are good friends because she thinks he has ulterior motives (he used to, but not anymore)
Enemy: Patricia Rakepick
- Gracie's lack of trust/respect for authority means that Rakepick being brought in for the vaults felt like a direct threat to her. As Rakepick recruited her, Bill, and Merula, Gracie tried to play nice but it's clear she hates the woman
- It's likely that if Bill hadn't knocked her wand out of her hand, Gracie would have killed Rakepick in the Portrait Vault
- It wasn't a craze. She was just furious
- Gracie is as determined as Merula to kill Rakepick (stupid canon mc too weak to murder)
- Joining R will be uncomfortable at first, because Rakepick will taunt her, but they'll learn to work together
- No matter how the game goes, Gracie's adventure with the vaults will end in killing Rakepick
Dormmates:
- Tessa Chiva
- Rowan Khanna
- Merula Snyde
- Ismelda Murk: they could be considered friends, but they aren't as close as they could be
- Liz Tuttle: Liz was close to both of the twins at first, but now is way closer to Tessa
Pets:
- Ruby, the family Crup
- Clara, Vance's toad
- Elaura, an owl
- Lemmy, a moke (he's more Tessa's pet really)
- a bunch of creatures in the Reserve that Tessa and Liz coparent, and Gracie tags along sometimes
Closest Canon Friends:
- Jae Kim: a year of spending hours together everyday will do wonders for a friendship
- Penny Haywood: they've been drifting apart, but they spend a lot of time together in the Potions Club
- Charlie Weasley: they were partnered for a Charms project in year two and kept hanging out all the time after it was done
- Olivia Green (while in R)
Closest Non-Canon Friends:
- Tessa Chiva (technically not canon because mc has no siblings besides the Jacob character)
- Rosalie Sonnenschein: a German model who is one year older and attends Durmstrang. First generation part Veela with a very strong natural allure, which she trains Gracie to resist once it becomes apparent that she's affected
- Justin Freed (while in R): a young man one year older than Olivia. He's mean but he's funny, and he helps Gracie get adjusted to the whole group. He's a bit too egotistical and slightly overprotective over Olivia and Gracie as younger women, even though they're both fully capable (and stronger than him)
(Storyline has to be in a different post because of tumblr's dumb text limit)
Future
Marriage and Children: Before the wedding, Gracie timidly approaches Margaret, who married Clarissa two years prior, and asks if they can take her name since neither Gracie nor Merula want to be associated with their fathers anymore. Margaret tears up and tells her of course they can. Gracie gets married to Merula at age twenty five, becoming Gracie and Merula Miller. They get married on a beach, with ice cream cake instead of traditional wedding cake. Penny calls them up one day with the news that she's been working on a potion to allow a woman to become pregnant from another woman and asks them if they'd like to test it. At age twenty six, Gracie nearly passes out watching Merula give birth to their oldest daughter, Destiny. Three years later their second daughter, Dahlia, is born
Career: Gracie becomes the Dark Arts professor at Durmstrang at age twenty three. She's mocked by the other professors for being young and inexperienced, but after she kicks one of their asses in a duel they back off. She's a talented professor, and her curse actually allows her to be a test dummy of sorts for her students so that they're able to learn both from the book and from experience. After marrying Merula they move to Germany to be near Gracie's family, so she ends up being very talented at Apparation
The Second Wizarding War:
- Gracie is out of the country when the war happens, and only returns when she gets word of Bill's attack, leaving Merula and the kids in Germany to be safe (and avoid risking Merula run into her parents, because Gracie knows that Merula would try and duel them)
- She does not participate in the Battle of Hogwarts because if she did, she knew Tessa would too and couldn't risk her sister getting hurt
- She's horrified to discover that Olivia and Justin were some of the people who escaped Azkaban, but relieved that neither of them were spotted in the battle. Olivia shows up on Gracie's doorstep the day after the battle and begs Gracie to forgive her for everything, including killing Justin when he tried to join the Death Eaters. Gracie forgives her, and uses her Legilimency to figure out the best way to get Olivia out of her jail sentence
- Merula hates Olivia quite a bit when she realizes that this Olivia is the one in R (not because she was in R, but because she and Gracie hooked up a few times while they were there together), but is able to get along with her - especially when Olivia takes a great interest in Rosalie
Old Age and Death:
- Gracie dies at the age of one hundred and seventeen from natural causes. After her death, her wand snaps in half by itself
Personality
- Major introvert
- Craves touch, but won't ask for it unless she's super close with the person she wants it from
- Tries to think logically whenever possible
- Might be a bit of an adrenaline junkie
- When she gets upset, making her laugh is the best option
- Sentimental as all hell, borderlining on being a hoarder
- Prefers animals to humans most of the time
Misc Information
- Gracie is bilingual, fluent in both English and German
- She can play cello. She can also sing, but doesn't like doing it in front of other people
- Gracie's misophonia developed around age nine, but didn't start becoming a real issue until the anxiety and depression joined in at age eleven
- By the time Gracie meets Fleur, she's so good at blocking out Rosalie's allure that she doesn't even notice Fleur's. Speaking of Rosalie, she and Olivia do end up marrying
- Gracie nearly kills Tessa the first time a craze is strong enough to target a family member. Tessa falls off of a small cliff and ends up in a coma the day Gracie joins R
- Gracie doesn't find out about it until the next time she actually sees Tessa months later because the craze was strong enough to disorient her, and oh boy does she hate herself when she finds out
- Gracie never officially broke up with Merula when she joined R, but wrongly assumed she would find someone else. Gracie casually hooked up with a couple people in the meantime, including Olivia
- Olivia gives Gracie an amethyst necklace a few months after she joins R, and Gracie charms that one in place instead of Vance's
- Part of why Olivia was able to convince Gracie to join R was because Gracie had recently failed suicide and was desperate to find a way to get R away from Tessa and her friends. If she couldn't die (and get them to stop targeting her friends to get to her, was the faulty reasoning), she might as well join them and be able to warn her loved ones of upcoming attacks
- Vance jumps in front of Tessa during the last fight with R and dies without saying goodbye, which messes both of the twins up for a while
- Gracie's interest in being a professor stemmed from Rowan's. Rowan became Head Girl :) and lived a long happy life as a professor :))))))))
- Rowan also smacked Gracie when she came back from R, which is fair
- Gracie's favorite muggle thing is orange soda
- Gracie likes pineapple pizza
- She has a sweet tooth, but she really likes sour candy as well
- Her favorite color is blue and she feels like it's a betrayal to her house
- Gracie is forever a dog person because of Ruby. She had previously been a cat person
- She writes a lot of poems as she gets older, and eventually tries out creative writing. She loves it and publishes a few books
- Everyone in her immediate family is left handed besides her father
- Her natural body temperature is a few degrees lower than a normal human's. As such, she sweats more and is always warm to the touch (I don't think it makes sense, but that's how it works for me so...)
- She's obsessed with night. She loves being outside at night, looking at the stars when the air is slightly cooler and feeling alone and insignificant in the universe (it comforts her to know she doesn't matter - it's the depression talking)
- Loves thunderstorms
- Believes in aliens 100%

Chapter Six: 1824 October 11th Hush boy
Jacks P.O.V.
T.W. Blood
‘It’s alright πυγολαμπίδα, you never have to deal with this place again. So just… relax my love.’ At those words I can feel my self relax, the relief that over comes me causes me to cry a little at the thought of never returning to that hellhole again. I feel my conscious drift away from the chaotic scene and I can feel petals wrap around me as I slide through them green lightning curving from my body(?) every now and again until I hear a someone humming to themselves as I hear the sound of someone carving wood. As I turn towards them I can see I’m in a dark room lit only by the candle on the desk with a boy(?) probably only around seventeen or so with… teal… hair? And I think I can see his eyes glowing gold from here.
I take a step towards him examining trying to see if I can recognize him despite the familiarity radiating from him. He suddenly sits up straight causing me to jump back a bit and as I examine the back of his neck and I can feel a bit of hope fill my heart. There is two soul-marks on the back of his neck that hooked in each-other one of a stray green bolt of lightning and one of a wisp of the universe. Just like…
“JJ?” I whisper out, shock over taking me as I take a step forward, but as I do every single doll and figurine turned their heads towards me, their eyes glowing an eerie yellow, giving a similar feeling to the forest. I instinctively reach to him to get him away from the dolls not even bothering to notice there really wasn’t a way out. As he turns to me I can see he has a rather annoyed expression that quickly fades into shock as his glowing gold eyes land on me, and just as I go to step towards him, the floor beneath me falls away.
I can feel the petals again pulling me through the colorful void as I try to fight against them, trying to get back to JJ but I quickly stop, the smell of the petals relaxing me. I allow my self to drift until I hear a familiar voice calling for me.
“Come here Sunon.” It’s Henrik’s voice, I know it is, I don’t know how but I do, he’s older maybe twenty, and he has a German accent but I can hear the little bit of Irish lingering in the back of his voice. It sounds happy but more of a sad… happy, if that makes sense.
“Sunon, come here.” The voice calls again and it’s almost pleading and I jolt in shock, bolts of lightning curving from my body, as I recognize the voice.
“Henrik?” The voice that comes from me sound like my seven year old self, confusion washes over me before at the sound of my voice until I can see what’s happening again.
‘Oh,’ I think as I look around, somehow without moving my body. ‘this is the day before Henrik got adopted.’ I remember it well enough to know that I didn’t leave his side the entire day. I feel my body move on it own accord at the sound of Henrik’s voice again.
“I’m over here Sunon.” I look around and see him sitting on top of a large rock still wet from swimming the lake. It was one of those rare warm sunny days during the summer where Henrik would take me to a lake deep in the forest. Everything looked the same from that except, he looked different. His instead of their normal sky blue, they’re a soft, green with the same color veins going from the iris to the whites of his eyes to the area surrounding his eyes. And though his hair was the same length, long enough for a small pony tail, his usual light brown hair, was a soft green on the top and brown and a twinge of silver in it.
Other than that though he was the same, with the same pale skin, Marvin's mark on his forehead just like me, the rest of my brothers and the other one was Liru’s… mark. ‘Oh my god. She’s all of our soulmate! How did I not realize that!’ She doesn’t even know either, I never bothered to mention it because I forgot ‘How the hell did I forget that?!’
“Sunon?” Henrik’s voice snaps me out of my thoughts and I can feel my six year old body move and speak on it’s own accord.
“Coming Hen” I got up and I could feel the left over water on my skin drying from the sun as I went over to him forgetting my shirt completely as I climbed up to the rock, sitting in front of him and for a split second I think it’s gonna fall out beneath me as well. I look up at him and I can feel a forced smile on my face as I look up at him. His eyes are sad as he looks at me but he has a soft smile as he looks at me. I watch as he reaches up around his neck and undoing the leather cord with a silver band that had a sigil Marvin carved into it.
I watched as he had picked up the one of my hands the one with his mark on my upper arm and puts the ring and cord in my hand and covering it. My eyes water as he does and I try to hold my tears back but fall miserable. I launch at him, hugging him tightly not even bother with the fact I nearly knocked us both off the rock, burying my faces into his chest and crying my eyes out. He wraps an arm around me my torso and puts a hand on the back of my head as he buries his nose in my hair lightly and I can hear him mutter those words that were once comforting and now just painful to hear.
“It’s okay Sunon. Everything will be okay, I’ll come back for you, ten years top. I promise.” As he said those words the world around me faded before leaving surrounded in the void of petal.
Except they weren’t petals anymore, they were slimy, black than black, smelled like death, sulfur and burning flesh, it made me want to puke. They weren’t guiding me anymore they were yanking me down and this time I fought.
I struggled and scratched and pulled, lightning breaking from my body and striking at the faux petals, burning them making the smells stronger to the point where I want to throw up. After a full minute of fighting against the pull the petals yank me down through them and I fall about a couple of stories landing on my back letting out a loud wheeze of pain as I feel the air whoosh out of my body as I struggle to regain it as I force myself up wincing in pain.
As I stand up I freeze, every hair on my body stands up on end and I can feel my heart fall to my stomach then my stomach fall through the floor. In front of me was this large disgusting creature, it had a round body with useless legs dragging behind it as it uses it’s to small for it’s body wings, to hover in one spot and it was the color of if someone threw up and mixed ink into it. Thats not the worst part though was the to many long, spindly needle sharp arms holding up an almost identical copy of me, the only differences was the one black eye with a neon green iris and the other a Blue Lapis color and a slit throat.
“Anti…?” My voice is quiet and breaking a I speak, the disbelief quickly become of over come with rage and sadness. Now I really wanna throw up and wake up. The creature’s spindly needle sharp arms wear pierced through his lower arms, hands, every one of his fingers, his feet and what seemed to be his head. And the way it was keeping him up, made Anti look like a puppet. The thing grins it’s beady white eyes almost closing from the wide grin showing off brown jagged over grown human teeth, with a sick sense of joy as it seems to speak and I could barely make out what it was saying.
“D̎ͪ̽͢ir̙͇̫u͍̥ͤ̐͜ ͯͦ̿s͑͌͂͢a͉͆l̥̥͙utő̵̬n̖ͭ ̕a͉̙ľ̻͝ v̤̀i̵a ̞ͬfŗ͉̖͌̓a̡t̩ͩo,̶̅ P̶ṳ̃p̬͕̈͐p̓e̛͗̃͑t̲̆.͔̹̈̽” I watch in horror as Anti seems to jerk before whispering out in a dead voice,
“J̢acḱ?” I let out a chocked sob as the rage falls away leaving nothing but sadness behind. I watch as his eyes flash for a second full of confusion then fear, then straight up terror and panic and with each emotion I see, the slit in his neck begins to bleed heavier than before.
“JA̧ĆK!́” His voice is desperate pleading and I can see more of the demons spindly arms begin to reach towards me and I can feel all of the rage suddenly slam into at once as green lightning explodes everywhere as I let out a scream of rage and the demon recoils as the lightning bursting from my body strikes it’s arms causing it to let out a shriek of pain.
“ŖUN̷ JA̡CK ́P͢L̸EASE!͞” Anti’s voice breaks through the noise and I can see the demon quickly regrow the burned limbs as it lets out a roar that makes my head pound painfully.
“P҉LEASE̸-” Anti’s desperate cry is cut off my the sound of him gurgling and blood pour out his mouth his neck practically a fountain of blood now. I can feel tears streaming down my face as I begin to move forward towards Anti, but as I do the creature lunges forward and before I can move, I wake up staring into Liru’s night blue, worried eyes.

“Excuse me, Mr. Hong. If you would just sign here, please…”
“Mr. Hong, there’s a call waiting for you on Line Four.”
“Mr. Hong! Mr. Hong, do you have a moment?”
Being swarmed with papers and phone calls and never ending crowds was the life of a CEO. But it was never the life that Joshua Hong wanted.
In his mind he was living a small, peaceful life by the sea within his means, the love of his life at his side and within an absence of the means of time. And he would achieve that, one day.
For now he just had to wait, and continue to play the game.
As the crowd grew thicker and less transparent, completely blocking his way down the golden-railed hallway ‘til he could no longer move, Joshua halted his pace, took a quick breath, and graced everyone with the usual-plastered smile they’d all been waiting for, addressing his underlings one by one.
“Yes, sign here? Okay…and Janice, you said there’s a call on Line Four? I’ll take it momentarily, tell them I’ll be with them shortly? And Shawn, why don’t we talk during lunch? I’ll have Seungkwan make a reservation–”
One by one he went through them, each and every employee and sales’ person and random fan or citizen that had managed to make their way to the 48th floor of GameOn! Headquarters, handling each concern and care with kindness and as much enthusiasm as he could muster.
The entire act was draining. Thirty minutes later, he needed a nap.
But the moment the mahogany doors opened, the gold-plated doorknob flinching back as he released it to reveal the initials “J.H.” on the cover, yet another face was waiting for him. Sort of.
Hay and wood chips covered the entire room– the delicate swirl-colored carpet in shades of deep blues and cascading velvet, the beach-toned walls that really didn’t match but reminded him of the dream he was pursuing, the crystalline chandelier where a telephone hung among the masses.
“Just so we’re clear,” Seungkwa said, visibly sweating at the seams, “Dokyeom–”
Joshua wasn’t listening. He was too busy scouring the room for whatever had happened to his pet rabbit Mina, who just…jumped…onto the balcony.
Screaming in unison both boys rushed beyond the double french doors, Seungkwa nervously gathering the speckled ball of fluff before shyly passing it to his superior.
“Ha…hahaha…” He bowed. “Sorry?”
“……” His boss looked back inside at the chaotic mess before letting out a sigh, his gentle strokes against Mina’s backside attempting to soothe the terrified creature…and calm his own nerves. “…It’s fine…just call someone to clean this up. Do I wanna know what…?”
His assistant shook his head. “Probably not. I’m blaming Dokyeom. The snake was his idea.”
“Snake?!”
“What? Snake? I don’t know a snake. Unless his name is DK? Haha…ha?”
“…” Another sigh. He stepped back into the office, the brunette boy at his heels. “…I need you to make a reservation for lunch in an hour. I was thinking maybe–”
“Oh! Reservation!”
Seeing as Seungkwan had stopped and cried out with such sudden tenacity, Joshua blinked behind him. “Yes…?”
“Um…” Seungkwan smiled sheepishly. “There’s someone waiting for you in the lobby. After Seokmin dropped by and Mina got loose I sorta forgot about it. She said her name was…y/n?”
Joshua’s face paled. Every motion in his body froze, save his beating heart and racing thoughts.
He gulped. The last time he’d spoken to anyone by that name was…you. Three years ago. “………”
“…Joshua? Are you okay?”
The snapping and abrupt clapping in his face pulled him out of a one-way ticket to Memory Lane. He quickly smiled shyly to avoid any confrontation.
“Yes. I’m fine. Has she been waiting long?” He lifted the fallen plush pin from the ground, resetting it with one hand and placing Mina back into her luxury Barbie Dream home. “What’s her last name?”
Seungkwan thought a moment, picking random wood chips off the floor as he simultaneously flipped through a phonebook for room service. “I don’t think so…and her name was, uh, y/n…l/n?”
Another gulp. Crap. It was you.
He knew what this was going to be about. The same thing, every two to three years. You show up on his doorstep and tell him how you feel without actually saying anything. And everytime, he has to push you away.
Because he knows you. And he can’t have you getting mixed up in this “extravagant” lifestyle. It wasn’t just luxury cars and homes and country clubs and maxing out however many credit cards you wanted. It was busy, and messy, and chaotic. The opposite of you. Often times it got downright evil, shady, and sinful…blackmailings, mindgames, having to uphold an image and reputation. It definitely wasn’t the life he wanted, and he refused to drag you down into it as well.
At least not until after he’d done enough. After he could fall back on an early retirement that would please his family and make everyone happy.
He’d spaced out again. When he came to, Seungwkan was glaring up at him with curiously round brown eyes.
“So should I tell her to come in or…?”
After flinching back and shaking his head (once to recover from shock and once to clear the despondent memory of you), he took a look around and gestured with his hand.
“What do you think?”
Seungkwan looked over his shoulder, up at the ceiling, down at the floor. “Hmmm…probably not. I can–”
The door suddenly opened. “Mr. Hong? Animation Studio’s is still on Line Four and I don’t think they’ll hold much longer…”
Joshua clenched his jaw, closing his eyes a moment. “Tell them I’ll be there as soon as I can.” His eyes shifted to his accomplice. “Keep them busy,” he said.
Seungkwan shook his head. “You want me to handle an important business call?! But–”
The door had already shut, the echo muffled by scattered woodchip and torn featherdown from a certain rabbit-tailored Barbie Dreamhouse.
A groan overtook the following silence.
~
“Wait, wait. Say that again, please…”
It was no use. This year’s visit was going terribly wrong. Just like all the other visits.
But it wasn’t for the same reason as before.
“I came to get your blessing. If that’s okay…? Oh, and I wanted to drop off this thank you gift. For my birthday? I know it’s a little late, but I’ve been so preoccupied with the wedding invitations and the planning and…sheesh, you wouldn’t believe how hard it is to get Yoongi to go anywhere on his days off.” Y/n shook her head, hands clutching a rosary-gold picture frame with her latest masterpiece scribbled within its contents. “He’s always so tired so we usually just end up staying in and watching Netflix all day. But sometimes I’m able to convince him to do a little shopping with me. If I ask nicely and lure him out with cookies…er, that doesn’t always work, though…”
He couldn’t believe it. Here he was thinking he was going to have to let you down easy again, thinking up a basic speech plan to go over so things wouldn’t get messy or sidetracked, and your feelings would be spared, and he could go back to tackling another day in the life of Joshua Hong while trying to make the best of things and stay as cheerful and bright as possible, but…
It was his feelings that were on the line now. And dangerously close to the fire.
Things were not cheerful and bright. They were a desolate wasteland.
“You’re…getting married?”
Those words had cast a curse over every last straw of bliss he had left to grasp onto, and yet they’d brought the brightest smile Joshua had ever seen to cross your face, brighter than the sun and the moon and all the stars he was suddenly wishing he’d paid more attention to, stars he would chase to the ends of the earth for you…
But they were too far now. They were no longer a part of his universe. They were a part of yours…and someone else.
He found it adorable the way you bounced lightly in place at his question, nodding ecstatically. “Yes! I met someone…about a year ago, Yoongi. And he’s recently asked me to marry him.”
Your eyes dipped down to the cerulean rug lining the large office table Joshua currently had to lean against for support, and a film of sadness fell over the atmosphere like a veil of mist or fog.
“So…I wanted to ask for your blessing. You know, since we grew up together and all…and well, I know we’ve kind of had a..history…but I also wanted to know, you won’t have to worry about me bothering you anymore. Haha,” You scratched the back of your head, turning away sheepishly to enlong the avoidance of eye contact. “I know you’ve always seen my yearly or semi-biyearly…tri-yearly?…visits as sort of an…inconvenience. And I told myself if you really felt that way, I should just get over it all and stop coming around anymore. But…” You smiled. “I know how hard this world of yours is. And that it’s not something you ever wanted. So I promised myself I’d just check in every now and then and make sure you were okay, because I really care about you, Josh.”
This was it. His world was crumbling.
“But you know, now that I’m getting hitched and all, I probably won’t be able to come around anymore as often.”
Why? Why was his world falling apart?
“I’d be really nice if we could still keep in touch though? That is, if you want to…”
Why did any of this matter to him? He’d wanted you to move on. He’d wanted you to stop coming around, and he was finally getting his wish. So why…?
His grip tightened on the chair beside him. On the corner of the table he was propping himself against.
“…Anyway, that’s enough about me and Memory Lane. Here,” you held out the portrait in your gloved hands, the one’s he’d always see you show up in during the Holiday Season from years past. They’d been sewn and patched over a few times, a stark contrast to the Tiffany diamond and quartz watch around your right wrist.
You glanced down at it as he took the painting from you, eyebrows raising with a smirk. “Ah, I’m going to be late for lunch. We’re almost finished watching (insert favorite series here). I promised I’d try making dinner tonight, too…”
The two of you shared a look. A look that only lasted mere seconds, but to him felt like twenty more years had gone by.
You gripped his wrists, giving him a tearful smile. “I don’t want to say this is goodbye, so…I hope to see you at the wedding? Or at least hear from you soon.” A content giggle chimed from your lips, the means of an afterthought following. “Oh, and…thanks for putting up with me all these years. You know I’ve meant well, right?”
“……” He felt lost. The only thing he could do was nod.
You beamed. “I’m glad. Again, I always knew I kind of annoyed you or that maybe you got the wrong idea but…you know, I just, wanted to make sure you were doing okay. Anyway,” you let go, and he wished you hadn’t so. Every step back was one he wanted to take forward. “I should get going. Don’t worry if you can’t make it, or if…you know, you’re just, too busy, I understand. I honestly should have stopped coming around so much, but I just…couldn’t help myself.”
And for a moment, just one moment, Joshua could have sworn he saw a flick of regret. A wavering longing of nostalgia, of something so deeply internalized he didn’t have the time to reach down and discover its true nature, for it was gone just as soon as it had come.
And then so were you. As if you’d never existed at all. He couldn’t explain it, but he felt like he’d lost something; or that maybe you were never real to begin with. Which was blasphemy, absolutely ridiculous, he had known you since you were six.
He observed the painting you’d left for him, lips parting just slightly.
It was a portrait of a long forgotten photograph, one your parents had taken of the two of you when you were twelve, fishing for frogs and bugs and rainbow-colored rocks down by the riverbed of your hometown. The sky was the clearest blue it had ever been that day, the fluffiest of clouds providing the perfect shade along with thick blankets of willow trees, and Joshua was smiling while displaying a handful of crystallized rocks he’d found buried in a pile of mud (which he’d detested having to get dirty for but did so anyway), you proudly swinging a silver-colored fish that gleamed in a spectrum of colors beneath the soft peaks of sunlight.
The portrait was signed at the bottom: “To my best friend Joshua, with love - y/n ❤”
And then everything just…clicked. It was strange, but all those unscheduled yearly visits, the bi-yearly and tri-yearly, and all the time the two of you had spent together before that…everything came crashing down like a whirlwind that suddenly ceased, dropping everything it had been lugging and spinning around. It fell like a sudden ton of bricks.
He studied the painting for hours, locking himself away and politely going through the motions of the day on autopilot. Even when he was away from it, it was fresh in his mind, and the moment he had finished one task he would come back to it, even if it was just for a few minutes. At the end of the day, when everyone else had gone home for the night, he found himself staring at it, preferably you, and your smile. The gleam in your eyes.
He’d always thought you’d been squinting at the camera with the sun in your eyes. But really, you’d been squinting gleefully at him.
And he’d always known, deep down. This was all a carefully hazardous game he’d orchestrated to keep you at bay, telling himself he was protecting you and doing the right thing, but now…
Now, the game was over. He’d won.
But he’d truly lost you.

ok i made a post like this months back but it was like in bursts of read mores so here it is again all in one thing with some extra added stuff
i just,,,,want marvin to have depth and try to kinda connect things ya know
not really a theory just my random burst of thoughts™ im not a fic writer or a proper theorist its just my thoughts
Jameson & Marvin are both from the same time period, around 1920s. Jameson is a well known and beloved actor and Marvin is a magician. Both are childhood friends and have a brother like relationship. Jameson for his birthday on halloween has this extravagant party. People all over party it up almost Gatsby style with him. Marvin, despite loving an audience, isn't much for crowds but goes because JJ insisted he shows up and they do a seance with the guests as a fun trick. Even though Marvin doesn't really believe, he is a bit of a scaredy cat with the topic of ghosts. He agrees to do it but nothing happens, giving the guests a good giggle though. When the part is late and its just Marvin & JJ alone they try once again for fun. Conjuring up Anti. Marvin trying to fight back the demon but Anti flings him across the room like a ragdoll. Anti possessing JJ and making him slit his throat in front of Marvin's eyes. Marv once again lashing out trying to stop Anti and thus Anti sends Marvin into the future, completely fucked up with burns and new powers due to coming in contact with Anti.
When Marvin comes to the future, our reality so to speak, he is lost alone and afraid. Jackie, a mortal man but has a heart of gold, helps out people in any way he can. Marvin when teleported to the future was in the street taking everything in and was practically having a panic attack from it all. Noises, new surroundings, all just him looking around and things blurring together. Jackie running over to pull him out of the way of the street because all when  things where phasing together with overload, a car was coming close to him with no signs of stopping. Jackie being super confused and concerned, asking if he is okay and Marvin just trying to get a grip on things. Jackie being careful with his words and willing to listen though. Eventually, Marvin answers his questions and Jackie helps him find a new place to live. The two of them become close friends over time and Marvin opens up to him about his magic, showing it off to him. Jackie getting excited cause he is like "DUDE YOURE A SUPER HERO!" But Marv is just confused as to what he means, cause how Jackie describes it, he is more of a villain with the harm he has done. But Jackie not seeing that at all.
Eventually, since Marvin is stuck in this reality, he gets a job once more as an entertainer. He needs to make money in order to stay where he is at and Jackie convinces him to do things he likes, and making people smile at his tricks was something he did enjoy. He becomes well known with his impossible magical acts and it for some time helped as a distraction to him. For once, he felt happy again. He was still trying to figure out a way to go back in time to save Jameson but this new job helped him explore his magic and also helped him feel happy again. Despite it all he was able to find some form of happiness in this hell thats his life. But, it would be short lived.
A fire incident, causing deaths to those in the show and injuries in the audience. The theater burning down all because of him, causing all the horrible feelings to rush back. Jackie trying to talk to him that maybe it wasn't his fault, he was getting such a hang on his magic that maybe it was something else, but its no use. Marvin teleports himself from the scene, making the news believe he too died in the fire. And to leave Jackie alone to worry and wonder what happened to his friend
He decides to live alone near the ocean, a place where his fire magic can't hurt anyone. Secluded from the world with no soul to worry about. Left alone to just focus on his powers and focus on finding that Demon once more. As years go by, he has grown use to the silence of it. The waves of the tides, providing for himself, living off of nature. Guilt consuming him for all the wrongs he has done that he can't undo. His mind screaming at him that he was the cause of so much pain. Doubting himself that things will ever change for the better. One night, as he walks on the shore. He spotted something in the distance, something washed on the shore. Thinking it was perhaps a beached animal like a dolphin, he rushes to the shadow in hopes to put it back into the water. But when he arrives with his lantern, he isn't greeted with any marine creature, but the body of a man. The body of Henrik. Still alive, still clinging onto life, after being thrown into the ocean like nothing from the top of a cliff after being possessed by Anti.
He runs home fast caring Henrik, using magic to slam the door shut behind them. His little home is protected with his magic just in case Anti ever did find his location. Despite him not knowing if it would ever be enough, some help would be better than none.He lays the man on his bed, grabbing nearby medical supplies he has created for himself. He places his hand onto Henrik's chest and sends tiny bolts of electricity to shock his heart. Getting Henrik's heart beating again, he wakes up. Hacking up blood mixed with sea water and his own spit. Sitting up confused as to where he was and to who this strange man was beside him. Only mumbling the words "jack" over and over as he looks past Marvin and tries to get out of the bed but ultimately fails. Marvin tries to calm him down but his voice is getting louder with terror now saying "jack, JACK! CHASE!" names that have no meaning to Marvin but wants to get answers out of but to more importantly calm this man down
Marvin calming Henrik down eventually and Henrik stays put in bed. Examining his neck and tattered clothes, messy hair, and blood over his body. Debating if he should use magic to heal him or not since he has healed but only on himself with flesh wounds, not on another person, let alone a person he just met. He reaches out towards Henrik's throat direction till Henrik quickly grabs his hand and twists it in a self defense reflex. He decides to give the medical supplies he has to the man and for him to fix himself up since he clearly doesn't want more help.
Henrik remains with Marvin for months, learning about each other. And, despite Henrik hating to see it and forced to believe it, seeing Marvin's magic at work and that even saving him. How magic and demons can even exist but apparently it does. They learn that they both caused the death of close friends, people that they miss and wish they could save. To turn back time and fix it all from ever happening.Henrik worried about his other friend, Chase, and how he is going to be without him. Marvin opening up and saying he is also worried how Jackie, his friend, is doing and is afraid if he left him for death since he isn't there to protect him. They both relate to their struggles and worries.
As Henrik heals after these months, he says that he should go back home. But Marvin, despite knowing solitude now doesn't want to lose him now. He knows that there is a demon causing harm and the last thing that needs to happen is him falling victim again. They fight and yell, Henrik saying that he is leaving if Marv likes it or not till Marv locks the door on him keeping him inside. He says that Henrik has no idea what he is up against with that Demon. How he got luck to be alive. But Henrik makes it known that its time for him to leave and fix what he caused. But, he offers Marvin to come with him. To destroy Anti and to fix this. But he can't Marvin is too afraid of it all still. He refuses to leave safety. He unlocks the door and lets Henrik leave. Teleporting him to his home. Fearful as to what will happen to him and hoping he didn't make another mistake
When Henrik is gone Marvin seems to basically go back to his old life but even more focused on working out time travel magic. He can do so much than he had before and being with Henrik and knowing Anti is near really made him begin to question himself. That maybe this isn't the way to do this alone. He thinks about Henrik and Jackie often. The names of the people Henrik talked about, the people Marv has hurt. He sets up a candle circle that night. He shuts his eyes, searching. For Jackie.
He sees him, alive and well, in his apartment. Marvs spirit manifesting into the room, not seen to Jackie. Debating if he should say anything to him but not knowing what to say. Happy to see Jackie alive but is afraid to show signs that he is there, that he is alive. He pauses in the room and looks over to Jackie's bed room door. He walks inside it through the walls. Still messy and chaotic as he remembers. He looks around and sees something though, a photo. The two of them Jackie took on his cell phone, showing off "new technology" as he called it to Marv. Printed out and framed sitting on a computer desk. He walks to it and picks it up, the apparition of the object becoming tangible to his invisible touch. He smiles a bit looking at it but is cut off hearing footsteps coming to the door. He looks at the photo and makes his movements known, placing the photo onto the bed. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a piece of paper, making that movement known and places it next to the frame. He vanishes from the scene before the footsteps reach the door.
Jackie opens up the door to be greeted with a moved photo. Confused since, despite him not being super tidy, makes sure not to move that. He walks over to it and sees the paper. Written on it says "I am alive. I am sorry, Jackie."  He holds onto the paper with a shaky hand. He hangs his head down and slowly beings to laugh till he lets out a big chuckle. "That son of a bitch" Relieved, his friend is alright.
Henrik storms off to get back home. As he approaches his house steps a sensation runs through his body. Without Marvin’s protection, Henrik yet again falls victim to Anti. His body twisted and manipulated no matter how hard he tries to fight it. Anti taking control once more as Henrik yells out. Making him go back to Jack's house from his little vacation in order to kill Jack off once and for all. However when they arrive, someone else is there instead. A father, a friend.
Chase being so happy to see Henrik despite not being able to recognize him at first since its been so long, sobbing at the sight of seeing his friend. Hugging him and breaking down but also filled with anger because he thought Henrik was dead and that he was the only one around who could help Jack. He tells Henrik everything about Jack and how he has been doing this for so long. How Jack is alive and in a coma and even he couldn't believe it. “Henrik” stays with Chase in the house, saying that he doesn’t want Chase to "worry about Jack and that he will take care of it" in a monotone voice. Anti using Henrik’s body however starts to shine through more and more each passing day. Chase coming across body parts and Henrik catching him, stating that “you weren’t suppose to find that”. Making Chase fear for what is going on because even though he knew Henrik to be out there and erratic, to bring things like that into Jack’s home was causing him to be nauseous.
Anti continuing on to the point where he is fed up with using the doctor’s body, gaining more power and mobility for something new,  and instead has an interest in using Chase’s. After all, he finds out that he is the one the millions of people are seeing now a days. The one that knows exactly where Jack is laying fast asleep. He once and for all discards Henrik’s body, exposing himself in his true form in the darkness of the house. A form that Chase eventually runs into one night in his house, alone, as red light fills a room. However, killing Chase would be too easy. Seeing him suffer so much, putting the poor man out of his misery would be too satisfactory for him. An endless loop of not being able to die and never knowing the whereabouts of one’s family, thinking all of this is just some sort of horrible game, is much more fitting.
Marvin, similar how he did with Jackie, reaches out to find Henrik. He misses him and is worried. He tries to find him but its all dark. He cant find him anywhere. Worried as he walks around the house no one is found. He does hear noises though and he thinks perhaps its him. He walks up the stairs to see a terrified man, yelling at an entity as to where his family is. The flickering flame of the lighter goes out and everything is quiet. Anti whispers into Marvin's ear words he cannot understand. He tries to teleport the terrified man out of there but can't, no matter how hard he tries he can't get the man to leave. He snaps back to his body and stumbles backwards, rushing to his feat and reading himself, hoping he didn't lead Anti to his home.
He panics, that was Anti. That was the demon. Henrik can't be found and he is worrying that things are only getting worse. The poor man scared out of his wits. He knows he has to do something but he's afraid, he knows he can't do this alone. With a heavy heart, he teleports Jackie to his house. Completely off guard he looks at Marv completely shocked. A rush of anger, relief, happiness, and confusion rush over him. Yelling at Marv for leaving him but him also being so happy to see Marv again. Marvin states that hes sorry and he knows that he shouldn't of done that but he was just too afraid at the time, that death was all his doing. And he didn't want to lose another friend. He begs Jackie to help him with something. He plans on attacking Anti. But he asks Jackie to stay behind and help the bodies he will bring in and himself, for he knows that all of this will be too much for him. Jackie agrees and stays behind in the safety of the home as Marvin teleports to the house
Marvin arriving to put a protection spell around him as he tries to find Henrik’s body once more. But no matter how hard he tries, he cannot locate him. He then focuses on Chase instead and finds him, he places a protection spell on him. He rushes over to him, curled up and afraid, saying that he is going to try to get him out of this. Out of the corner of his eye he sees a shadow. He once again sees Anti face to face. All these years away, he has had enough of this. He stands in front of Chase, facing forward to the entity. They talk back and forth, Anti toying with his emotions and mind in hopes to make him explode out of rage instead of being smart with his powers. But for the most part, Marvin remains silent because he doesn’t want to fall victim for his games, not again.
Anti glitching in and out of reality all around him, creating reality around them itself twist and morph at the scenes. He has finally had enough and Marvin focuses his energy to obliterate Anti, wanting to set him ablaze, cast him out to where he once came. Casting spell after spell, using so much as to what hes got. But all of this is draining on Marvin, for not only is he protecting himself, he is doing so with others. The energy within him is draining and he knows it. He has to either take the protection spell off of himself and face the fact that he won’t be able to beat Anti, or remove it slowly from the others and use it on him as long as he can because he knows he is the only one right now that can vanquish Anti.
So, he does what he sadly knows he has to do, and thats the second option. Slowly taking it away from the others.  But he doesn’t want them to die but he knows they are only mortals with no powers, they can’t do anything to save themselves, he is the only one who can now. With all of his might, he tries to get Anti out of the building and away from all of everyone. But his magic is running thinner, he can’t do much more soon. He begins to take more and more hits and his mind begins to play tricks on him all because of Anti.
He collapses to the ground, head spinning and ears ringing. Trying to get a second wind, looking up  his blurry vision sees Jameson standing above him. How Jamie looked before the incident. He almost half smiles to himself and shakes his head because he knows this is just a trick. He taunts Anti, knowing that Jameson is gone and that his tricks wont hurt him anymore.
That is, till Jameson kicks him in the face.
Marvin shocked and holding his face, to yet again be struck with another blow that was worse than before. Jameson reaching down to him and picking him up by the shirt, not saying a word, but the look on his face speaking a thousand words. Rage in his expression and deep hatred in his eyes. Jameson’s thoughts echoing in the white room that they are in. How Marvin caused this, how he left Jameson to die. How all he did was watch as he died, when he could of stopped Anti, as all of this happened. Marvin getting out of Jameson’s grasp and saying how he isn’t real, how Jameson isn’t real, that this trick has gone on long enough and it wont fool him any longer. The room cracking and Jameson smiles.
He walks over to Marvin and grabs Marvin’s hand to then place it on his neck. He looks him dead in the eyes as the room booms once again, “This is not a trick, old sport.”
Marvin stumbling backwards and backing away from him slowly but Anti glitches in behind him to hold him. The room continuing to echo with Jameson’s thoughts, he explains in a rather cheerful tone that Anti gave him life again. Well, not exactly, but it was either stay by his side or suffer alone. And lets face it, being alone is not his style, the beloved motion picture star. Watching Anti all these years and being by his side was oh so wonderful. Seeing millions of people grasping onto Anti alone? The thought of him too having that admiration was just too glorious for him to give up and just die. The joy of working with him and being able to go throughout timelines beside him was just too amazing for him to let go of. Sure, he had thoughts of stopping and helping Jack, maybe even for a short time use his actions to aid him, but that was foolish of him to do. Anti making that abundantly clear. Being loyal towards Anti has payed off for him thus far, after all, he was the one that kept him alive when someone who he thought was his friend couldn’t even do that.
Marvin begins to beg out in desperation that he does still care for him, how all of these years he tried so long to go back in time to save him. But Jameson doesn’t believe a word. He only believes what he has been shown from Anti and has been taught for so long. He plans on helping Anti end all of this. He trusts Anti.Marvin reluctantly and with a heavy heart having no choice but to fight his best friend along with the monster that caused all of this grief. But, despite all his best efforts, he cannot take on the both of them alone. He gets bloody, beaten, and slowly hanging onto his last chance at life. He knows he cannot beat them, and he also knows death is approaching him soon. Him regretting taking so long to figure out his powers. How he cannot even prefect things now to be able to save people let alone himself. His best friend, the one that he so desperately wanted to save, is now having this mind set that all of this is justified and fine as he gets hit by every single punch, kick, and stab.
He knows he doesn't have time left and he doesn't want to die yet. He uses his energy to give Chase some protection and vanishes as fast as he could out of there.
He comes home, beaten bloody and hardly breathing. Jackie rushing to Marv's side and holding him up, guiding him to the bed. Jackie talking him through this that everything will be okay. Trying not to get choked up at this sight as he rushes to close shelves of medicine and medical supplies that surly this would be enough to help some, that Marvin could have some energy left to heal himself. But Marvin lets out a weak call to Jackie's name and an open hand, just looking at him knowing that there is nothing they can do. Jackie trying not to cry as he goes back to Marv's side and holds his hand tightly.Marvin saying how he knew this was a dumb idea, how all of this was his own fault. But Jackie keeps denying it over and over. Marvin squeezing his hand, saying that "I might not of been best for these powers. All those super heroes you talk about are kind, caring, helpful. Thats not me Jackie. But you, you are that. You can handle these powers, better than I ever could. Please..Jackie. I know you can end all of this."
Jackie sobbing and holding Marvin's hand giving it a squeeze, kneeling down to be eye level with him on the bed side. Saying doubts that he could do it. But Marvin pleads one more, he doesn't want to die with these powers, he doesn't want to die and have no one be able to save people, to fix things. or worse, those powers falling into that already powerful demon Jackie shuts his eyes and nods his head yes. Marvin sending shocks of powerful burning energy into Jackie's body through his hand. Leaving his body cold and still.
Jackie opens his eyes to see Marvin's lifeless body. He holds him close, sobbing as he hugs onto him tightly, thunder rolling in loud and fast outside. Letting out a loud blood curdling scream, lightning strikes the ocean water outside as he calls out in agony over the loss of a dear friend.
His corpse lays inside the house, all alone. Jackie leaving his friend to rest with flowers, a clean home, and photo of them together being held in his hand. Tiny lights flickering in the quiet home. The fire goes out. Cold wind blows in and a dark shadow lures over Marvin's corpse. His eyes open up solid black. Marvin and Jameson are reunited once more, soul bound to the Demon they conjured.
