New Sherlock(ish) Convention

Heylo gang, need your attention for a scalding second! @mssmithlove1 and a ragtag team of knowledgeable nerds are making some plans and preparations for a new Sherlock convention in Minneapolis!  We’ve got a great team so far, packed with con-building experience and no shortage of enthusiasm, and are excited to dig in our various footwear to bring this thing to life!

It would primarily be a Sherlock convention, but plenty of other fandoms would be represented with panels/meetups/merch/etc. (Yuri On Ice, Check Please!, MCU, Harry Potter, whatever you all expressed interest in), and, though we can’t give specific dates yet, it’s looking like Summer 2018, because we all need to budget for 221B Con just like you!

This is obviously still a ways off, but, before we start booking things, we want to get some basic info from all of you so we can tailor-make this experience as much as possible. To that end, please take two minutes to fill out this survey, and reblog to spread the word!

so if you know s*ph who’s posting a lot of house m.d. stuff and was kind of in some tjlc circles Way Back When (and is still friends with a lot of people, like marcel) he actually goes to my university and like, does things at my university that have brought us in proximity and when i messaged him on facebook and told him “i love your work!” and he was like “ya cool thanks” and i was like “oh sorry this is weird but btw you once overheard my gf talking about tjlc and i saw the post you made about it ha ha”. then he went completely radio silent and never replied to my messages and it haunts me to this day

I found the perfect gift for a vulcan like spock

Set up your tri-D chess board and play with your captain opponent. Each time you take one of their chess pieces they have to eat it and vice versa. The only way to keep it fair is if kirk also took a shot or big sip of his drink each time too, otherwise spock would be the only one getting progressively more drunk!

I'd love to see the game in its late stages and how terrible their moves might get the more drunk they are

It’s an okay choice. I have a lot of friends who studied creative writing and are currently working for large companies. You can get into different industries anyway if you have a creative course.
