I miss Meghan Markle's posts shared there, especially from thetigofficial on IG (of which there are so few available on the Internet, along with a photo and her personal description). Unfortunately, I found out about Meghan just before her wedding to Harry and, unfortunately, she already had inactive IG accounts at that time.

FYI - What do you make of this?

this is weird The Tig IG is up and running - recent posts and this giveaway “To celebrate the revival of #theTig, let’s spread the word with a little 💕giveaway!💕 ✨”.  The posts feature travel to  Charleston, Haiti  and Hawaii but with pics of MM. Also selling stuff (fashion).   The usual Tig vapid sayings. Not her tone of voice though.  Now The Tig is trademarked and owned by her through Frim Fram.  So it has to be authorized especially since they are using her name and pics.  So what the heck is this?  Lots of “my man” “my love” comments, lots of Trader Joe comments (are they funding this?) lots of food advice.  WTH?  Pics of MM and PH.  But clearly not Markle.  She is getting someone else to run it then.  Person says they are not Markle.  But it seems obvious MM is involved.  here is the top line: the TIG #thetigofficial the Tig is a hub for the discerning palate - recreating the inspired lifestyle Blog originally founded by Meghan Markle. Let’s play!   Also uses The Tig logo.  Pic of a hand with the blue love beads and the Diana watch.  A tutorial on the lemon elderberry cake.  On one post pic of MM it says “to our boss and founder”.  So Markle has her blog back, how the heck?

Remember the closing of The Tig?  We got some PR spin suggesting it was her cutting ties to her non-royal life. Sugars fell for it.  Meghan shut down her beloved Tig! OMG! This is serious!!!  Wonder what they will say when they find out that Meghan has been logging into her instagram account recently and adding/removing followers. For that matter they should be asking themselves why the instagram and twitter accounts still exist.

Meghan Markle Shuts Down Her Lifestyles Website ’Cause She’s Gotta Focus on Becoming a Princess and Stuff

Meghan Markle is moving on from her lifestyles website, the Tig. The actress and GOPH (that would be Girlfriend of Prince Harry) posted a letter Friday announcing the shuttering of her pet project, which launched in 2014.

“After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig,” the Suits actress, 35, wrote. “What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being ‘the change you wish to see in the world.'”

Markle added, “Above all, don’t ever forget your worth — as I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough.”

She also posted a thank you to her Tig followers on Instagram, “saying she will always be grateful for the support.”

So what was The Tig all about? Well, it was named after the American mispronunciation of Tignanello wine. She told Tory Burch in 2014 that sipping the wine “was my first moment of getting it. I finally understood what people meant by the body, structure, finish, legs of wine.” So the Tig was her “nickname for me getting it. Not just wine, but everything.”

Vanity Fair did a deep-dive into the contents of Markel’s site, which she initially created 100 percent on her own, but later turned to a small team for help. Described as “not dissimilar to, yep, a Goop or a (R.I.P.) Preserve,” she wrote about places she traveled, parties she threw (like a bachelorette weekend for her BFF), food she ate, and celebrity encounters, including meeting Michael Bublé, who later supplied a holiday playlist (many of her friends became contributors). But she talked a lot about books, said she didn’t mind staying home, and wrote about trying to live in a more eco-conscious way.

So why did she pick now to shut it down? People are obviously going to connect this to Prince Harry, whom she has been linked to publicly since November. Does it mean they’re closer to getting engaged? Maybe. They sure looked cute at that wedding in March.

We suppose it probably has something to do with Harry — like maybe how all her old posts were suddenly being picked through now that she is on her way to becoming a royal. In a way, it’s like your old diary being thumbed through — and misinterpreted — by a bunch of strangers. (Though that probably isn’t nearly as bad as having your own sister write a tell-all about you.)

While no wedding plans have been announced, which seems like a good thing as they haven’t been together that long, Prince Harry, 32, continues to throw out those “I’m ready for kids” vibes. On Friday, the man who dubbed himself “Funcle” was adorably playing with a young boy at an Invictus Games event in Bath, England. They did a little boxing, Prince William’s little brother swung him around, and they ended with a high five.

And suddenly we really hope Markle is saying goodbye to the Tig as part of plans for settling down with Harry. Man, he’s going to be a cute dad.

Meet Meghan Markle: The mix-race actress set to marry Britain's Prince Harry

For a lot of royal watchers, news of Prince Harry's engagement to actress Meghan Markle was an impending one. The two have been going steady for a while and many felt that marriage was always on the cards. While any news around UK's royal family manages to create a stir, this particular news should be celebrated more as Meghan Markle entry into the royal family marks an end to the white-skin domination inside the Buckingham Palace.  The soon-to-be princess is a mix-race American citizen who- by her own admission- is an activist and believes in voicing her opinion.

Born in California to African-Amercian mother and a Caucasian father, Meghan states it that she had to fight her own battles while growing up as a mixed race individual. In an interview to Elle magazine last year, Markle spoke about how she fought her herself and created her own terms. "You push for color-blind casting, you draw your own box … You create the identity you want for yourself, just as my ancestors did when they were given their freedom,” said Markle.

Markle's inclusion into Britain's royal family is a momentous one. For years, the family has married into royalty or within aristocratic families- Kate Middleton perhaps being an exception. But white skin has dominated the family for centuries and Markle would be the first mix-race woman to be married into the Windsor family.  On November 8, 2016, an official statement was released from the Royal Family's communications secretary addressing the "wave of abuse and harassment" directed toward Markle that followed the announcement of her relationship with Prince Harry. The statement condemned the sexist, racist and defamatory stories that were directed at Markle and urged the press to "pause and reflect" before driving these storylines. The royal family's statement defending a mix-race woman was welcomed by one and all.  A feminist, Markel has advocated for women's rights for a long time. Earlier in 2017, Markel visited India to highlight the stigma around menstruation for poverty-stricken women in Delhi and Mumbai and later wrote an article for TIME magazine about her experience.

Markle made her acting debut in 2002 in an episode in General Hospital and has worked in shows like CSI: Miami, Knight Rider, and Castle among others. But she is best known for playing Rachel Zane in legal comic-drama series Suits.  The actress was married to actor and producer Trevor Engelson and got divorced in 2013. She met Prince Harry in 2016 and the two have been in a relationship since June 2016. A student of theater and international studies, she had once interned at the US embassy in Buenos Aires. She was also the editor-in-chief and owner of a lifestyle website called The Tig which closed in April 2017.

The couple is set to marry in spring of 2018 and while everyone knows that Markle will have to follow certain protocols as part of the royal family- it would be interesting to see what new trends Markle creates on her own accord.

Just slightly over a year ago, I wrote a post for my idol, @meghanmarkle on her now archived site, @thetigofficial. It was easily the highlight of my career. To write for a woman who fights for the same rights and issues that I strongly believe in. To write for a woman that encapsulated the elegance of being a businesswoman. Today I shed a tear. A tear of happiness that a woman who I look up to has found her Prince. The actress launched the website in 2014, explaining to Tory Daily that it was inspired by wine:

“Tignanello is a full-bodied red wine that I tried about seven years ago. In wine circles, it is nicknamed “Tig.” It was my first moment of getting it I finally understood what people meant by the body, structure, finish, legs of wine. The TIG is my nickname for me getting it. Not just wine, but everything.”

Meghan also mentioned that she wrote 100% of the content but had people help her with graphic design and other minutiae.

Perhaps she got too busy dating a real-life prince to continue working on the site. We understand, girl!
