This is another functional item for our pixel babies :) This time I made Hydrangeachainsaw's Baby bear bath seat as funtional bath tub for toddlers.

Credits belongs to @hydrangeachainsaw for cute bath seat mesh. @zoeoe-sims for Funtional Washboard mod script, which made this tub funtional and of course @thesweetsimmer111, for her amazing and lovely animations.

Low-medium poly - 2,9k (reduced from 6k)

Bath seat can be found in Kids Room - Furniture or Bathroom - Shower and Tubs

Have 3 presets and have 3 color channels

Object takes 1x1 slots

Install

There is 2 ways how to make bath seat functional, it depends if you have zoeoe Funtional Washboard mod or not, so:

If you do NOT HAVE:

Download HYDRA Baby Bear Bath Seat (functional), place HYDRA_Baby_bear_bath_seat_functional.package in Mods/Packages, and zoeoe_FunctionalWashTub_resources_Override.package in Mods/Overrides folder

Also download Zoeoe Funtional Washboard mod, you need only zoeoe_FunctionalWashTub_resources.package, put it Mods/Packages

And here you go, baby bath tub should work now :)

If you HAVE zoe22 Functional Washboard mod (and actually using it):

Download HYDRA Baby Bear Bath Seat (functional), place HYDRA_Baby_bear_bath_seat_functional.package in Mods/Packages. You only need this. DO NOT put zoeoe_FunctionalWashTub_resources_Override.package in Mods/Overrides. Otherwise, you can't do laundry anymore. As for baby bath tub, you will have options doing laundry in it too, but I suggest - don't. This bath tub isn't adjusted for laudry stuff so things would look really weird if you do so.

Just play tested this mod and this right here is a game changer! I love it but I do feel a bit down that it took several years for the lovely TheSweetSimmer11 to work so hard to bring an animation that the Sims 3 team back in 2013 were not able to produce. The Modders bring so much fulfillment to a game that was obviously unfinished and it sucks that the sims 4 continues on with this trend. But enough banter though, to all my followers playing sims 3 still, you need this mod right here if you mostly play with toddlers.

I finally managed to get this interaction working! Now your sims can pass babies and toddlers to other sims without having to put them down. Info and download link is under the image or just below 😊

Toddler Bed : Now CASTable!

Thanks so much to @id-element0 for making the bed CAStable! You can download it here. Please note it will overwrite the one you have downloaded in the game (but you'd probably want to anyway).

I am working on an update to the bed that will allow Teens+ to tell bedtime stories to toddlers. Also to fix the "twitch" toddlers get after jumping off and some clipping, so stay tuned.

Older updates:

The updated version includes the proper animations that were meant for release and the following small fixes:

Tuck In interaction should now only show up when a toddler is actually sleeping (will not show up during naps)

Fun motive delta for jumping on the bed should be working now

I added a small energy drain for jumping as well (you can reduce further or remove entirely in the ITUN file)

Tuck In now only available for Sims that have a good relationship (30+ LTR) with the toddler (no randos tucking in your child)

@bh506 already let me know of one issue so if anyone is having similar issues after redownloading, please let me know!

Description:

This is a toddler bed, similar to Arsil's Napping Mat which was a big inspiration and great reference for me, especially the genius idea of using a geostate instead of dealing with pesky bed animations.

If you have the napping mat (you don't need it for this bed), you already know the deal. Toddlers can autonomously sleep or nap in the bed (they will climb in and out of it themselves with no adult help).

Toddlers can also jump on the bed for fun but they shouldn't because it's dangerous! They can fall while getting off and hurt themselves. If a teen or adult is around, they will stop automatically.

If a toddler is in a bad mood and is sleeping, they may have a bad dream and wake up and won't be able to go back to sleep for a couple of hours. (I forgot to mention that they won't get a bad dream if they have the Cuddle Time moodlet which you get from sleeping with a stuffed animal.) They can find an adult they trust and complain and be consoled which will get rid of the negative moodlet and allow them to fall back asleep. They can also do this if they get injured from jumping on the bed.

Credits/thanks: Arsil for inspiration and script references. The bed mesh is from TS4 but the blanket is from @aroundthesims. Old bed jumping animations from TheSweetSimmer have been removed but still going to include her!

Additional Notes:

You can copy the script to apply to other beds but of course depending on the size/height/position of the mesh, the animations may look weird. Update: You need to make sure that bed object has a 2 routing slots, however, named Slot.RoutingSlot_0 and Slot.RoutingSlot_1, otherwise the Sim will reset.

I set the energy motive to be low because toddlers IRL sleep a long time but you can go into the ITUN and adjust if you want.

Some of the animations are little wonky because I'm using a mix of TS4, TS3 and a period of about 10 months in terms of my confidence/skill level with Blender.

This is originally based off a crib mesh so the entry slot is only on one side (see pic below). You can put the left side against a wall but note toddlers won't be able to jump on the bed and other Sims won't be able to tuck them in since that is where they route to do so.

Requirements

In order for the face acne to show up, please download Around The Sims 3′s converted acne face overlay here called “ATS3-makeup-TU-acnee-sims4”.

Around The Sims 3 has allowed me to add a modified package file of the acne face overlay to properly enable Adult acne. The package is now included in the zip file with the mod.

Acne System

Sims aged Teen to Adult will have a random chance of getting the new custom Acne Breakout moodlet that applies face acne at 6:00am every day. 

By default Teens have a 20% base chance, Young Adults have a 10% base chance, and Adults have a 5% base chance.

Certain traits can also increase or decrease the chance of a sim getting acne by 5%.

Increased Chance Traits - Slob and Unlucky

Decreased Chance Traits - Neat and Lucky

Pregnant Young Adult and Adult sims have their chance of acne increased by 5%.

Sims will also get the Embarrassed moodlet, unless they have the Brave, Inappropriate, Insane, or Rebellious trait.

Sims with the Diva or Dramatic trait will take a larger hit to their mood when the Acne Breakout moodlet is active (-30 instead of -20).

Occults

Werewolves, Witches, Fairies, Genies, and Mermaids are half as likely to get acne as humans (Teens 10%, Young Adults 5%, and Adults 1%).

Vampires and Plant Sims have no chance of getting acne (vamps because they’re technically dead and plant sims because they’re… you know, plants). Pregnant sims of these occult types do not have their chance of acne increased.

All of these percentages are tunable in the XML file.

Interactions

 - [New] Apply Acne Toner: An interaction at the sink that only appears when a sim has acne, gives sims the custom Feeling Fresh moodlet and reduces the Acne Breakout moodlet by 4 hours. This interaction can only be used once every 6 hours.

- [Additional Feature] Gussy Up: Using the Gussy Up interaction on a mirror has a 5% chance of removing a sim’s acne.

New Moodlets

Acne Breakout: Given when sims get acne, lasts 24 hours, -20 mood

Feeling Fresh: Given when sims use the Apply Acne Toner interaction, lasts 6 hours, +10 mood

Tuning

I wanted to make this mod as flexible as possible, so there are quite a few tunable values listed on the mod page under the spoiler.

Conflicts & Known Issues

This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

TS4 conversions

Dresses for the toddlers.

Sometimes, I envy TS4 players for having so many beautiful CC to use. Thanks to all the creators who are allowing others to convert models to TS3.

Recently, I heard that some original creators are unhappy, even angry about the conversions, which makes me a little sad. While I can understand, it's really disheartening. However, I believe there are still many kind and warm-hearted people in this community.

My commercial lot

I've finally completed the commercial lot I started building several years ago. That basement took me some time, and I really wish the game originally had more convenient basement tools, so we wouldn't have to put in so much effort just to have a basement with a direct entrance from the outside.

Hi! I really need your help! In your post from August 28th, you mentioned in the comments that you fixed the animation and the mod from thesweetsimmer now works well. It still doesn't work for me. I put it in both the package folder and the Overrides folder, but the pregnancy announcement animation still doesn't work. Only the stupid animation from EA. Please tell me what you did to fix it? All other mod options work fine. The only problem is with the pregnancy announcement animation.

Not sure if my situation will apply to you but this is what I was dealing with...It's gonna be long so I hope I can explain this properly. lol

I use s3mo for part of my cc organizing and sometimes mods don't work when they are put in s3mo. For example, all of Arsils, Zoeoe, Ani, Lazy Duchess, and most of my food related mods I keep in the regular cc mods folder structure (Overrides or Packages respectively). So for Sweet Simmer, all these mods go here not in s3mo. That was my first issue.

Next, Because I use all of TSS's mods, I had to make sure I was using the correct version of each mod. A few edit or use the same social data XML. So make sure your check the conflict of each mod at the bottom of the mod listing and it will tell you which version (script or regular version) to use.

There is one instance where I had to combine an XML's changes (not the correct terminology) but that's what I did. It's been over a month since I did this, so I can't exactly remember which one I did it with.

The More Pregnancy Interactions mod conflicts with the biggest little Mod for Toddlers. But I'm also using Toddlers can Sit on Couches mod which also conflicts with biggest little mod for toddlers. So I had to delete the BLMFT and use the version of the toddlers sit on couches mod that combines the 2. So because I did this, I had to make sure this didn't conflict with the More Pregnancy Interactions mod. (this might be where I had to do some combining of the Social Data XML but I really don't remember 🙈).

And of course, don't forget to delete your suite of cache files. That's what I did. Hope you can get it work. It really is such a cute mod.
