Reading your post from a couple years ago that starts “A dumb Thesterius fic prompt/idea where Hades doesn’t actually agree to let Asterius into Elysium” and DAMN I WISH SOMEONE WOULD WRITE THAT.
Thank you so very much I'm so glad you liked it.
Yeah I love the idea of Theseus just constantly breaking out Asterius out and into Elysium everyone just giving up stopping him.
Theseus just going 'The ruler of the underworld has made hios decision but as it is a stupid decision I have chosen to ignore it'
I also just imagine Zagreus running into them in Erebus on one of his runs and like '...What is happening'

I’ve read TONS of Theseus/Asterius fics by now but still didn’t manage to find the most hilarious one where Theseus and Asterius are getting married and Asterius is adamant to invite the daemon Zagreus and it turns out to be a total jest
IT MUST EXIST I KNOW IT MUST
I just didn’t find it yet

Can I request Theseus, Achilles, Patroclus, and Asterius from Hades with a reader who's love language is being a general nuisance. Putting objects on their head, climbing into their laps, swiping their stuff when they're not looking (reader will give it back immediately, they just like to tease lol), sticking their cold ass hands up their shirts, etc?
Fandom: Hades
Character(s): Achilles, Patroclus, Theseus, Asterius
Note(s): I went ahead and wrote this as poly's for the characters. Also, been reading Song of Achilles so I tried to use some of the personalities for Pat and Achilles from that for them here.
Achilles/Patroclus
Chuckles escape both of their lips when you climb into one of their laps. Patroclus easily resting a hand on your hip as you sit on him. Achilles is the one to rest his chin on the top of your head, wrapping his arms tightly around you.
There are many times of Achilles missing something and going to Pat, saying, “My love have you seen-“ only to stop when you’re in Patroclus’s lap holding said item. Patroclus doesn’t really mind (or notice) if his things go missing.
Patroclus rolls his eyes should you make flower crowns or just put random things on his head. He retaliates by taking it off and putting it on your head instead. Achilles does his best to see how steady his balance is with all the objects you place on his head. Pat calls him a showoff, but it’s worth it to have you smile.
Asterius/Theseus
Considering it’s also kind of a love language for Theseus, Asterius has to be the one to reign you in. That meme of the adult with leashes on all the children? That’s Asterius with you and Theseus (and Zagreus when the godling decides to come by and antagonize Theseus).
Theseus will squeal if you put your cold hands on his skin. He’s already dead, the cold shouldn’t bother him, but he scolds you and chases you around after you pull that stunt. There is a smile on his face as he declares vengeance when he does catch you (vengeance being peppering your face with kisses and not letting you go).
Please don’t take their stuff. They have too many sharp objects to prep for the Coliseum battles. Asterius is gentler when scolding and asking for his things back. Theseus is a pouty baby.

Theseus(+ Asterius obvi) with Son! Reader
It is no mystery that I am a geek, that I am a Greek mythology nerd, and that precisely led me to fall HARD for Hades, and I take advantage of every aspect of the myths for my writing.
how, for example, that in the myths, Theseus had a son with an Amazon (which could be Hippolita or Antiope depending on the version), who died, and his son, Hippolytus, became one of the hero's tragedies.
Basically he was a believer of Artemis who took a vow of chastity, his stepmother fell in love with him, he rejected her, she defamed him and killed herself, Theseus found out and despised his son, even when he had an accident in his cart ( which in most versions HE CAUSED by asking Poseidon to punish his son), but when the truth is revealed Theseus goes directly to his son in his last moments to apologize (and not leave him alone in his last moments).
Although his son forgave him in the myth, I like to think that, in perspective and using the logic that they are in the Hades universe, his son did not really think he would see his father again, so although in the moment he FORGIVE HIM definitely left things tense, since Hippolytus/reader ended up in Elysium because of his devotion to Artemis (in some versions he even becomes her sidekick).
and I like to think that while Theseus IS insufferable and pompous, he definitely has a soft spot for his son, seeing him as proud to have a close relationship with the gods and wanting to dedicate his life to them. probably also when they were alive encouraged several of Hipolito/reader's more violent hobbies, even if it was a little worrying at times😅
and now that he is back in the prime of his youth in Elysium and his son is with him, let's say that Theseus "discreetly" wants to compensate for his faults in life (especially the end of his son's life), it will be a bit of a head. tough but he's not stupid to realize that he screwed up big time with his son.
They probably do bonding by sparring and sparring with each other, they fight while talking and catching up on each other's lives (or, well, "life") and when Asterius joins, he also quickly blends in as a mediator between the two if they argue (especially about a certain _incident_)
Although Theseus is proud of his son and loves him, he never shuts up. Asterius on the other hand lets the boy talk and talk and generally gives more room for his opinion, he is someone Hippolytus/reader can go to to make sure those secrets don't get out between the two of them.
Asterius would refer to Hippolytus/reader as "little one" or "little prince", CHANGE MY MIND.
IMAGINE IF HIPPOLYTUS/READER WAS A KIND OF THIRD CHAMPION OF THE ELYSIUM! Theseus would be so PROUD of his son, crying and all "they grow up so fast."
Asterius would be a little more serious, but it would probably be because he himself is holding back the urge to cry while congratulating Hippolytus/reader on his first victory in Elysium and earning his champion title.
Theseus and Asterius would take the issue of Hippolytus/reader's chastity VERY SERIOUSLY not only out of respect for Artemis, but because 1- he already had a terrible experience with women and 2- it is something very important FOR HIM, so good luck trying to approach him or, gods forbid, flirt.
although I think that if Hippolytus/reader were interested in any relationship, it would probably be one similar to that of Asterius and Theseus themselves, a "brotherly" (homoerotic) bond, someone he could consider a rival, an enemy who became into a friend, an ally, a brother, something for him.
and that's why I like the idea of pairing him with Zagreus.
1- a love interest who is not a Tsundere (Hippolytus/reader is more virgin than Olive oil, so he is quite shy).
2- it would be an interesting dynamic (How Zagreus is going to fight with this boy, son of the man he hates the most, only to realize that they have a lot in common, earning each other's respect and even their help)
and 3- THESEUS AND ASTERIUS'S REACTIONS WOULD BE HILARIOUS
Theseus would be SO CONVINCED that this DAEMON manipulated his chaste son so that he would go easy on him and lose his title. HOW DARE HE THINK HE COULD EVEN BREATHE THE SAME AIR AS HIS SON?! MUCH LESS COURT HIM!? OVER HIS DOUBLE DEAD BODY!
The only way for Theseus to understand WHY Hippolytus/reader likes Zagreus of all beings, is to use him and Asterius as an example. There he understands it, but he doesn't accept it.
Asterius, on the other hand, is much more chill about it and even approves of it, although he will definitely give Zagreus the shovel talk and assure him that if he does anything to the little prince, there will be no place in Elysium that is safe for him.
Like, Zagreus would be upset to have to go through Theseus to talk to his boyfriend, but he definitely takes advantage of the situation to make jokes about how Theseus is now his "father-in-law", making the Athenian king even more angry.
(Zagreus would definitely make the "your son calls me daddy too" joke.)
At the same time, Zag would be surprised at how good a father Theseus is when he is dead (and what he was like when he was alive, excluding the accident of course). Likewise, he would be happy to see that although Theseus is an idiot, he is not such a bad guy.
Zagreus definitely helps a little with the Hipolito/reader relationship when tensions are high, going into therapist mode again. and thanks to this I can see Theseus and Hippolytus/reader in the prologue making a good process towards healing.
I don't think there's any WAY IN HELL that Theseus will accept Zagreus as his son's mate, but with Asterius and Hippolytus/reader present, at least he's more...domesticated.
Hippolytus/reader: father! TELL HIM
Theseus: UHG, FINE....HELLspawn--ZAGREUS...WOULD YOU WANT TO STAY TO CELEBRATE THE VICTORY OF HIPPOLYTUS/READER?
Asterius: Do you want to stay forever?
Overall, it's a dysfunctional family, I'm not going to lie, but a happy one.
Shares, reblogs and comments are very welcome!

I've been joking about Ariadne being Hornee for Dionysus in Hades 2 but also like,,, I think she'd notice right away that he isn't doing great??? He's stressed and ignoring it and she wants to help but like they're SUCH a situation ship in a world where they didn't get married how does she approach to help?? is it even her place to help?? But no one else seems to care and she cares SO MUCH
Dionysus means the world to her. She loves him. He helped her when she was at her lowest and she desperately wants to return the favor but how is she supposed to do that as a mortal shade in a war of Titans and Gods??
This is why she's stress unwinding Theseus banners while Asterius and Icarus are side eying her while they do their own things. The Stress Radiates and like they don't know if they should ask.
#hades 2#hades ii#dionysus hades#ariadne hades#dionysus x ariadne#diondne#vixenrambleshades#she'd stress clean if she could but like this is a CAVE isn't much she can do#i've decided Icarus is also with the labyrinth sibs#She leaves one Theseus banner for Asterius#bc she's nice#but also theres millions of them she's not going to get through them anytime soon

I like saying that Theseus fell in love with Asterius during their battle in the labyrinth, but it's a bit more complicated than that... it wasn't love right away as much as it was a sorta weird obsession. Theseus printed Athenian coinage with the image of the Minotaur on it, and wore Asterius' symbol on his chest whenever he went out. He would dream about him too... mostly of their battle, but sometimes his dreams would take them outside of the labyrinth, too. Theseus couldn't identify his own feelings about all this, but couldn't really talk about it either... no one else understood </3 no one else Could understand, because everything in that moment was just Him and Asterius... (though it got to a point where some of his wives felt as if they were in competition with a bull-man who'd died long ago at that point in time).
When Theseus rescues Asterius from Erebus it's partly out of curiosity, obligation, desire...a wish to understand himself better thru Asterius. But also it doesn't take long at all for those feelings to become entirely romantic, either- he gets crushes very, very fast.
#hope talks#theseus#asterius#thesterius#copy and pasting this over from oc x canon blog#since i get random likes over there on it sometimes 😭

Dead Royalty Zagreus and Hippolytus/Son of Theseus/Reader + Theseus and Asterius reactions please
OHHHHH THIS IS A JUICY ONE!!!
Dead Royalty! Zagreus x Hippolytus! Reader
Heres the info of the AU
Previous work of Hippolytus Reader
OKAY! First things first, I think Hippolytus would notice when something is starting to go...wrong with Zag. Not "wrong" in the sense that he's physically wrong, not at all, he's still fighting well and eager to reach his goal, but they do seem more...frustrated than usual. Hippolytus will probably talk to him about it after a successful match and ask him directly, it's hard to trick Hippolytus or dissemble with him when his father is THESEUS himself (who doesn't dissemble at all), so there's no point in hiding anything from him. When Zag shares his frustrations about not being able to beat his father once he gets to the surface, how angry he is with him, and how confused he feels, Hippolytus listens, and can't deny that he understands what it's like to have resentment towards a father, so he gets it. However, in an attempt to help, he ends up giving Zagreus an idea that would end up changing EVERYTHING.
"It's a shame you can't fight him here."
...huh?
"Think about it! If you could fight him in the Underworld, maybe he wouldn't appear on the surface, right?"
Hippolytus obviously thought of this as a TEMPORARY form, the same way when Theseus and Asterius "die again" when they fight Zag and reappear shortly after, but it definitely didn't stop there for Zagreus.. It's probably thanks to this that Hippolytus currently feels somewhat guilty about the whole situation. When Zagreus didn't show up in Elysium for too long, he started to worry. Knowing Zag, he had probably done something reckless and that definitely wasn't going to end well. But Hippolytus couldn't leave Elysium, so he had to wait. And wait... And wait...
And, over time, the first rumors finally started to arrive. At first, Hippolytus wasn't very aware because 1- he's very focused on training and 2- he believes that most of the rumors related to the gods are either exaggerations and/or lies. However, the more he heard about it, the more serious the matter became. He noticed how the Underworld began to change. How there were shades that went to Hades' house to repair the disasters, and what he feared was confirmed. Zagreus had done it.
And a part of him, while terrified... was also elated.
It was probably the Amazon blood in his veins, but Hippolytus enjoyed violence, especially when he felt that certain people deserved it, so he couldn't say that he wasn't a little bit happy that Hades, the shitty father (not Hadez king of the Underworld), finally got what he deserved.
That being said, I think Zagreus would have a hard time at first seeing Hippolytus just because he was caught between adjusting to the new situation and a lot of paperwork.
It's not until about three weeks after what happened that Zagreus is finally able to take a break to go visit Hippolytus.
Zagreus was expecting everything, screams, crying, disappointment...
so he was very surprised that the first thing Hipolito did when he saw him was run to hug him (without even trying to suplex him).
"You did it! You crazy godling, you did it!"
Zagreus was definitely expecting anything but a happy, even proud, vibrant Hippolytus. although he definitely wasn't complaining.
If we go straight to how their relationship is in this AU, I wouldn't say it changes as drastically as Zagreus' other relationships.
And this is a VERY important thing for him, it means a lot after feeling rejected by his friends and family.
For Hippolytus, Zag will always be the same friendly, gentle, handsome brute prince as always. He gives Zag a sense of normalcy and at the same time he doesn't treat him like he's made of glass.
Hippolytus has never been afraid of other people's reactions and with Zag it's no different, he likes to tease him, make him laugh at inopportune moments, surprise him, etc. it's like an extra step in their relationship.
They still do Sparring! Hippolytus even allows himself to be more aggressive with Zagreus since he's his most powerful version, and let me tell you, he hasn't had so much fun in YEARS!!
(also sometimes a training session can end in a session of hugs…and kisses…and things that Hades definitely wouldn't approve of). eventually Hippolytus is considered Zagreus' consort and is convinced (after a LONG time) to go live at (ex)Hades' house. with the condition that he comes back once a year to fight the best opponent they have obviously. I would say that their dynamic has evolved into a Gomez and Morticia Addams, with Hippolytus being Morticia and Zagreus Gomez. or rather, like the relationship between Megeara and Zag in the canon game. Hippolytus loves Zagreus and vice versa, and they find a special bond in the fights they share and the trust they have in each other.
that said, Hippolytus definitely doesn't like Thanatos or Meg very much, for the simple fact that they turned their backs on Zag when he needed them the most.
They have no idea how much Zagreus suffered after what happened with his father, how much it hurt him to be taken away because they were afraid of him, ZAGREUS of all people! ...but it's okay. After all, Hippolytus is here, to hear the secrets that no one else should know, to hug him when he needs it. He is the only one for Zagreus, he is EVERYTHING. Because at the end of the day, when he lies awake at night and desperately need something to bring him back to reality, He no longer look for them. He looks for him. (the bby ends up being a little bit of a yandere). Now, Theseus's reaction.
HE DEFINITELY DIDN'T LIKE THE IDEA AT ALL.
Already, before, his relationship with Zag was like walking on eggshells, NOW HE'S HIS BOSS!?!? He is furious.
Now he is more convinced than ever that Zag is manipulating Hipolito into a relationship he doesn't want. and it is almost impossible to make him understand otherwise. If Zagreus tries to go to the coliseum to talk to him, he receives THE SPEAR. no questions asked, just violence. He might calm down a little if there is a ceremony that officially makes Hippolytus the secondary ruler of the underworld, because it would show that it is something serious for Zag, but other than that? His hatred for Zagreus gains strength and will never go away. He only lets him live because he is his superior and for the happiness of his son. Asterius is much chillier. He has his concerns about how healthy the relationship is, but when he sees how happy the two of them are, he can't bring himself to get in the way. He becomes Theseus and Zag's mediator, mostly preventing anyone from dying. Overall, they become a much more loving and terrifying power couple.
Shares, Reblogs and Comments are very welcome!
