Thoughts one has while watching the Little Mermaid

6 yr: I’ve seen the Little mermaid a bajillion times! An evil undersea witch takes away a princess’s voice but her true love comes and saves her and they get married and have a zillion mermaid babies.

21 yr : So, basically a sheltered mermaid princess with an overprotective father winds up making a deal with a cutthroat business woman. This naive child then goes and loses her voice and causes more drama for her entire kingdom than any of her sisters put together. Of course, she falls in love with an impossibly perfect prince who saves her and they live happily ever after...until he finds out that his children will be half fish.

6 yr: Ursula is scary and I don't wanna be like her.

21 yr: Ursula is a badass bawse woman who goes after what she wants. I'd totally watch her TEDtalk.

6 yr: I wanna marry a prince like Eric ‘cause he’s so handsome and strong.

21 yr: I’m pretty sure Eric moonlights as a drag queen when Ariel’s not around.

6 yr: Flotsam and Jetsam are meanies and gross

21 yr: Seriously need these two in my life so I can scare away the fake people.

6 yr: Trident is so mean when he destroyed Ariel's Toy room.

21 yr:  I'm lucky if my parents let me live at home rent free. I have no reason to complain.

Three ships: Yuuji/Gojou, Yuuji/Nanami, and Yuuji/Choso based on the extent of my current interest, but if I had to pick one per fandom, it'd be Yuuji/Gojou, Ichigo/Grimmjow, and Steve/Bucky.

First ever ship: I...have no earthly idea. I got into fandom by accident, read anything and everything, and at some point, I got really into shipping, and then it became my favourite form of fandom engagement (which is hilarious because I'm aromantic as all fuck). But I can't remember how/when it started.

The author is clearly aware of both the original story, and the @disney adaptation as there are elements of both weaves throughout. I won’t spoil it - but I was pleasantly surprised by this retelling, and there were definitely some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I would highly recommend for anyone that enjoys a mermaid or a fairy tale twisted retelling. It’s a little bit gory, so I wouldn’t advise for children under 12. An idea had been floating around in my head since the day I made a drawing of the 3 different friezas.

I don't see much Cooler ART, so I thought, "since I've combined coolers from different "universes", how about we put them together?

(In a few days this post will be edited, the final ART is not 100% ready yet, I need to finish it on paper first😅)
