Just finished book 9 of 2024 (starting book 10 on my lunch tomorrow), so if anyone is wondering why I don’t find myself with time to write often anymore you have just discovered the reason 👩‍🏫📚💗

A friend recently asked me how I can read books with 100+ chapters and at the moment a gave him the quick answer of I just like reading but then I really thought about it and I’m gonna write it here so yeah-

I think I can read so much because there’s a point we’re you get lost in the story and I feel like I really know the characters and like I’m right there with them and then the book just melds with reality and the world just fades to black and you get attached and you feel their happiness and their sadness and their anger and grief and you keep going and going and you pray it won’t end you pray that you can stay in that wonderful made up place for only a bit longer and then you reach the end everything changes and you’re just ripped out of the dream and you come back to your senses and you feel like you were there with those characters every step of the way and holy shit the things I would give and the life I would sacrifice to just stay and leave this horrible and crude reality for the magical worlds trapped behind those pages like just please don’t make me leave please let me stay in the place were I’m accepted and loved and actually wanted and please just let me stay one more moment

I love how the new generation Gravity Falls fans are like “oh so we’re simping over a triangle?” like yes!!!! We’ve been fawning over that fucker since 2012!!!!!!! Bill had me in a chokehold at 8 years old and he still does as I’m 20 years old.

Two-Bit fixing himself for Marcia.

Him trying his best to not drink as much. Their first date, she cringed from the smell of beer on his breath. He swore off day-drinking that same night.

Him trying not to tense up whenever she talks to another soc at school. There's a part of his brain screaming to pull his blade, but he knows she can handle her own, and he stops himself.

Him not being as raunchy around her. Normally, with greaser gals, he could be. He could whisper the most rotted things in their ear, and they'd still go home with him. But this is Marcia, and Marcia's different. He wants to joke around with her but not go too far and make her uncomfortable.

Him trying to be himself but not too much of himself so he doesn't make her leave. Him smiling more, laughing more, him being a better person.

Two-Bit being a better person for Marcia because he loves her too much to lose her. He can't lose another person or he'll finally crash, so he does his absolute best to hold onto what he can.
