On a snowy December day, when he was 2 months old, Comet was discovered shivering and almost frozen in a small alleyway. His mother was nowhere to be found and if left alone, he would not be with us today. Evan is, well, a troublemaker. He pulls various pranks on anyone and everyone but at heart he is very protective of those he cares about. Evan's mother was killed when he was 12 in an armed robbery after she had left work at a local restaurant and he has been with us since he was 14. At that age, his behavior was reserved and very harsh, but he has definitely improved, as now he is very polite and kind to Isaiah, Lilly, and me. He plans to go on to the police academy after he turns 18, and I know for sure he will succeed at anything he wants to achieve in life.

Owen was given up by his mother who believed he would have a better life without her. He was bounced around foster homes until he came to us 4 months ago, scared and exhausted. Now he spends his time reading books and browsing the web. Lately, I've seen him show an interest in training our pooches, and soon maybe he will decide to take park in Junior Showmanship, our partnership with Twin Pines Ranch.
