I want to like Gabriel's scene with Lucifer in 13x22 bc he's right obviously but all I can think of is how much more interesting that scene and dialogue could've been if Lucifer were characterized like he was in season 5.

#and thats basically all i think about anytime late season lucifer is on my screen #the fact that the writers are essentially given presence in the narrative through chucks presence #and then the writers decided to turn lucifer into a cartoon villain #that kind of sounds like something a different character also did to lucifer #this isnt me trying to excuse bad writing by barking “it was chuck!”#just the fact that by exerting that narrative force on lucifer they are literally doing the thing hes accusing god (the narrative) of doing #so...lucifer is right then? congratulations your story fails on all fronts #theres stuff i can like about late seasons but anything directly concerning lucifer just takes me so out of the story #supernatural #canon crit #13x22
