i absolutely love that mickey isn’t embarrassed about their lives in that charcuterie rosé scene. he doesn’t even register that it’s something he could be embarrassed about, which is so incredibly beautiful. things are good for him and despite wanting to get their own place, i think mickey likes being surrounded by people gallaghers. he likes snarky banter over coffee and bringing home everyone’s favorite donuts and helping steal bikes. he likes having a family and being in a neighborhood that feels like home. 

and i’m not saying that ian was embarrassed, but i do think he picked up on social cues that mickey didn’t. i think he had a moment of oh shit they’re going to judge us and touched mickey’s knee to ground himself. 

i just love them both so much and it’s amazing to see them navigate these new situations together.
