Thinking bout the implications of Killian's joke in 3x21 at New York's expense: "On the bright side, I'm sure real estate is much more reasonable here [in the Enchanted Forest]."

So after only a couple months of time in the real world, with his 2 trips to NYC (one arriving via invisible pirate ship), Killian learned enough about NYC, real estate and regional differences of housing prices, the American economy and currency value, etc. to be able to make that joke.

Which, if so, says a lot about his attention to detail, intelligence, adaptability, and effort to learn and understand this unfamiliar world. Though he could've just heard someone else make the joke and just ripped it off lol
