Here is an ongoing list of batshit crazy theories that are swimming in my head. Please don't take them seriously. But I think some MAY be correct. (And yes, I am well aware that some contradict each other, but I can see the narrative going in multiple different directions, so that's why)

Azriel

Possibly part Valg, part Asteri (like Rhys) (see below), but also has a direct lineage connected to Dusk? Through his mother? Carries Truth Teller–did that come from her? Is she the descendant of Enalius (and did Enalius have children, because it seems like he was very young? If he did not, how did the knife get to Azriel 15 years later?)

Another option, Azriel is a Prince of Hel–a demon, and his domain is Hewn City? The original Court of Nightmares. Why would a Court in Prythian be called on of Nightmares? 

Is he a descendant of the Prince of Hel, let’s just say Thanatos or is he an actual Prince of Hel? 

Fury is Thanatos’s daughter, and possibly, Azriel’s sister. 

Azriel’s mother is alive, is NOT a Seer, but has secret lineage and unexplored powers. 

Eris

Possibly also Helion's son. Not Beron's.

Is Mor’s mate, but felt that there was something wrong with their bond, and possibly could recognize that she wasn’t straight. In order not to subject her to the life she didn’t want, he left her in the woods. The bond is still there, not rejected. 

Will the bond rejection plotline be theirs? Not Elucien’s? (I’ll discuss Elucien further)

What’s his ultimate agenda? To become High Lord of Autumn? Why hasn’t he killed Beron yet, if that’s what he wants?

Could Eris become the High Lord of Day? 

Gwyn

Possibilities: She is a Lightsinger, who is unaware that she is a lightsinger.

Could her powers be explained by her close proximity to the Cauldron and having grown up next to its leg all her life? Is the song that she is singing the Cauldron’s song? Does she light up with Power, like the Cauldron lit up and began ‘bleeding’ light when it was fractured? 

She is Tamlin’s daughter, and Heir to Spring. 

She is Lucien’s daughter, and possibly indirect heir to Day?

She is Beron’s daughter, though as a High Lord, I dont know why he’d go all the way to Sangravah to perform the Rite? I’d imagine he’d have to perform the Rite in Autumn.

Is she related to Ianthe? Ianthe had 2 sisters–were they Catrin and Gwyn? 

Or, is Ianthe her mother? Maybe with Tamlin or another High Lord? Though Ianthe feels like she’d select the breeder, as opposed to having a bang fest with some rando. 

If Gwyn IS a gray character, then what are her motivations? 

Lucien

Lucien’s and Elain’s bond is real, but it’s carranam. She has two bonds. One with Azriel, which was the OG bond, given to her at the same time as Nesta received hers with Cassian, and while Nesta felt it but didn’t act on it, Elain’s bond with Azriel was ‘corrupted’ because Azriel was almost dead during the time of her Making. 

The Cauldron wanted to give her a consolation bond and gave her Lucien, but it’s not a love bond, like that of Feysand and Nessian, but a power bond. When the time comes, they’ll be able to use their powers together. 

I do not think that they will reject the bond. I think Lucien will bind himself to Vassa, or will find Koschei’s immortality box and will make Vassa immortal. Elain and he will remain bonded, and would be immensely powerful, when needed, particularly when it comes to spells. He’ll encourage Elain to accept the bond with Azriel.

I think that Koschei will steal either Elain or Azriel, and Vassa, Lucien and Azriel/Elain will work together to get the other person out. 

Elain will remain doubly bonded.

Lucien will have a bond with Elain, and a life/family with Vassa.

Azriel is Elain’s soul paired mate. 

Rhys/Az/Mor

Helena and Seline were not Theia's daughters. They were Vesperus's (the Asteri that Theia served). In whatever manner, Vesperus 'impregnated' Theia with her essence, so that should anything happen, Vesperus's lineage would be guaranteed and in power over Prythian.

Consequently, both Mor and Rhys are part Asteri. Depending on Azriel's lineage, he might also be part Asteri.

Rhys

Rhys's immense power is due to him being part Asteri, but also, somewhere, he is also Valg. He has too many similarities with the Valg kings and Maeve. From being Daemati, to the violet eyes, etc.

I wonder if all High Lords are part Valg, and whether their 'beast forms' is exactly that--they are their true Valg forms.

Is the Power some kind of remnant of Valg power? And it only ‘chooses’ those who are direct descendants of Valgs? Why does the Power never choose women?

Is it because of Maeve? As a punishment not to trust women and not to give them too much power?

Is Koschei one of the Valg King brothers? Is he Orcus? Mantus? 

Pretty sure that the Bone Carver (his brother) is from RIfthold. What if the BC wasn’t his brother? We only have BC’s word for it? Why would he hide for thousands of years in what used to be Dusk, willingly imprisoned, so as not to come in contact with Koschei? 

Rhys’s mother was NOT just a poor Illlyrian seamstress. 

Amren

Has been the Big Bad (in a tiny package) all along. Manipulated Rhys into trusting her, this having access to the well of his power. Has been trying to find a Rift that would open to her own world–not to escape or return, but to bring her kind into Prythian. 

How was she imprisoned?

For WHAT?

By who? (who had this level of power?)

Whose body did she take? How?

How did she escape?

I think she wants power, more than anything else. She wants to install Rhys as High King, in hopes of ruling through him in case she cant find the RIft. In addition, she probably assumes that he'd have additional powers as the King, which may help her with her ultimate plans.

Dorian

Built/found Velaris thousands of years ago. Rhys’s ancestor. Passed some of the ‘natural’ magic to Rhys, further exaggerating Rhys’s powers.

Overall

I think the Valgs aren't the same as the Daglan/Asteri. I think they are more powerful.

⭐ Wally is using us as food. ever since we found out about Wally eating with his eyes, i haven't been able to get this idea out of my head. everything from everyone looking up at the tracker on the website, to Wally watching us from the other side of the screen, has me wondering exactly why he loves us so much, and why he seems happy to engage with all of us pouring in to look at the site. i'm wondering if Wally is something of a psychic cannibal - someone who is able to devour essence through attention, particularly through eye contact. there is something he's getting from us interacting with him on the website, and i feel like his love is of the possessive variety...he needs us for something that we don't understand yet. ⭐ Wally 'fed' his neighbourhood friends to his Home, and is play-acting as if his friends are still alive by interacting with us. some eagle-eyed fans noticed recently that in one image, Wally's armchair has a stitched-on patch that looks suspiciously like Barnaby's skin. likewise, there's a very strange file name on one of the drawings Wally did on the Guestbook, in a comment talking about Eddie, where he says he 'runs too much'. we know that Home is alive, and that Wally talks to Home. we also don't know why Wally's house is the only one with apparent sentience. my question is...how is Home fuelled? and why is Wally the only one talking to us through the Guestbook if his puppet-self is alive - where is everyone else? my (very thin) speculation is that Wally may have sacrificed his friends to keep Home alive, but suffered a mental breakdown as a result, and wants to preserve their old life through the website as if nothing is wrong. ⭐ Wally is a vain attention hog who wants to be back in the spotlight. this one is bare-bones, but hear me out - this can go a couple of ways! if we choose to believe the Wally speaking from within the website is, somehow, a sentient puppet (or his consciousness is infused with the website), we could also believe that he may miss his apparently peaceful, love-filled life from another time. perhaps Wally was alive during the original run of Welcome Home, and somehow remained alive following its cancellation. perhaps he feels spurned now he's no longer the friendly neighbourhood host of the television show long-forgotten to the public...where better to try and gain a new audience than online, under the guise of a restoration project? we could even make a potential cult leader argument here... again, this is all pure speculation!! we have no idea at all what Wally's agenda is at this stage, and that's a good thing;; it's going to be loads of fun learning more about Wally and what his intentions are. i'd love to hear people's theories 😉

regarding daniel and the freemasons, i have another crack theory that they, the freemasons, the order and the kiy cult, if they are all separate, then they are rivaling factions trying to bring their respective god(s) into our reality.

but your suggestion is making me think now, because i've been trying to figure out WHAT the fallen star is? could it be john, the heart, the missing piece of the king, the fallen star from the constellation of the king in yellow? could john have always been somewhat unattached from the king, being something separate that resided in him?

admittedly there have been no references nor symbolism regarding stars in canon (rip my stars john/butterfly arthur agenda hskabdhb) but that would tie nicely into my other other crack theory: arthur and john are the same person in different times. ok hear me out on this one.

malevolent seems to be a story about self-love, ultimately. and arthur, in the show, is said to be the very worst and best humanity has to offer. but harlan, in his asks, seems adamant of arthur's inherent goodness and john's evilness (because he's a ''monster'') but what if arthur at some point makes a sacrifice, because john has been returned to the kiy.

as he was intended too, being groomed by the cult, he tries becoming a vessel of kiy, but somehow instead he become part of him, john's part, the heart. they become one, they become the fallen star. and since eldritch being don't obey the laws of time, john from before he met arthur also has some arthur in him allowing him to become john in the first place and so the madness in arthur is also caused by john.

now this causes weird time shenanigans and i'm not sure if this w.bg effect on me but idk if the show will go in this direction.

As ANOTHER delay in the voting on the ‘hideous development’ is approved by Olathe (for Oddo’s benefit - so he can try to get a winning vote by manipulating the Council Member numbers), now apparently moved to May 7, you just can not help getting the feeling that there is something rotten in Olathe …

Review of the Planning Commission March 2024

More than one voting, tax-paying, law abiding homeowner noticed that smell. It was the smell of fish. An odd thing to smell at the March 11 Planning Commission meeting. But there it was.

Before the meeting even started the Olathe Planning Department’s fishy chaos was fully olfactorable: the fix was in, as it were. The agenda announced that Planning Staff were backing the Oddo “town Center”…. a WHAT? The smell wafted across the room as the planners presented their incoherent jumble of fish-taco-word-salad.

But before even the rotten presentations - much more was causing a stink. Lets me explain - using a game… What’s is this? - ‘Ok, you’re on ‘the list’” - “well who are you speaking for?” - “Are you for or against the development?” “Do you intent to make a presentation?” “The deadline for presentations in tomorrow” “The deadline for presentations has passed” “The deadline for presentations is Saturday, it’s Sunday, it was Friday…” If you answered ‘what happens when I call or email with my intention to speak in the public session of the Olathe Planning Commission’, you were right… Multiple homeowners reported that they were met by a number of such responses, put through 20-questions and/or fed contradictory instructions. Not very welcoming to the public.

Talking about ‘the public’ what about the ‘requirement’ of providing comprehensive introductions…?! Anyone objecting had to provide full personal details. Developers didn’t. No one else did - for them it was all corporate offices and company anonymity. There was that feeling again; the entire process belonged to the developer - NOT to the public. Perhaps that’s just how Olathe thinks it has to be - but we know first hand that aggressive developer-HOA owners like to know who’s ’getting out of line’ … and developers making lists is ominous.

Also we are all aware that there is a modern day air of menace - even here in Kansas - that there never used be. A menace that stalks those who exercise their right to petition government. It’s uncomfortable - to say the least.

So already some people were put off. We KNOW that because they told us. People who don’t want to be on lists - even a list run by the haphazard chaotic planners in the Olathe City planning department. (Perhaps particularly them - given the potential for juveniles to be vindictive!). People want to stay off the radar of those who’s names are only repeated after heads dip and faces dart back and forth - checking out the room - ‘him… well here’s what I know about him…’

For sure there are certain types in this world who culture an air of ‘don’t get in my way’ and most of us civilians would rather just oblige. Fair enough in a rough and tumble world. But only so long as you can count on such people NOT also controlling the levers of the state or its many layers of bureaucracy… that prompts thoughts of true discomfort.

What next seemed to have more than just the tang of the fishmonger…! The Applicant - (i.e. Oddo’s Gang) was granted as long as it liked to speak - as many ‘professional’ voices as they wanted, (no opportunity for the public to challenge them or ask them any questions, of course! In fact the Commission Chairman made it clear from the start ‘DONT ASK ANY QUESTIONS, JUST DON’T…’. And if you were in any doubt about his seriousness - there were armed police all around the room..! Yes in Olathe, not Nicaragua, Nigeria or a Nazi client state last century, Olathe…! )

But then there was time. Time itself. An abundant resource when developers speak - was as precious and limited as our diminishing rights when it came to the objectors turn to speak. The Preserve Our Neighborhood group paid to have a planning-expert lawyer present - and guess what, he was the Only professional treated like a schoolchild by the Planning Commission.

He patiently and respectfully sat and waited ‘his turn’ to speak… for 5 - Big Clock timed - minutes. Despite repeated advance requests and even appeals to the City Attorney and the Commission to be afforded a usual professional courtesy of a full 15 minutes. No. Not for him was there to be any ‘home-field advantage’ of the kind the developer’s lawyer enjoyed. Developer Esq. had no clock on his words - he could joke and banter; thank everyone on the Commission; “oh and Staff, and my agent, and my producers and my long suffering wife….” (We began to wish it were an Oscar speech - at least the music might have welled up and spared us…! ) Then the Oddogineer, the Oddarcitect, the entire circus… all were given untimed talk time. Who needed to keep track anyway - these guys were great entertainers (with all their tall tails about how no one can count (stories or feet) and how anything is ‘Green’ because they say it is…! What a hoot they were…

No, the lowest of the low in Olathe City Hall is being a voting, tax-paying, law abiding homeowner participant exercising his or her right to petition government. (It’s funny how that phrase ‘the right to petition’ - implies it might not be just being granted a favor by a Planning Commission Chair… it’s almost like we had some - well… right! To be there…)

Being lowest on the totem poll also meant we had to stay in line. Literally and figuratively. And the order of that line also generated a distinct odor of sushi … While speaker after speaker opposed Oddo - the surprise what how it all ended. The shock of the evening was the two ‘Turkeys for Christmas’. A married couple who both said, literally, ‘no one wants to lose their freedom - but let’s speak nicely to our kidnappers and “not spit in their eye”. After all - we are going to be spending a lot of time together. And they are the boss!’ I’m pretty sure that was the speech. (I could be wrong as I was vomiting into an airline sick bag during their particular 5 minuteses)! One really has to wonder if Ricardo Oddometer himself is holding that couple’s prized Maltese in an Oddo Developments secret location. Perhaps an unrentable apartment unit - sorry, ‘luxury apartment unit’ - somewhere in Darkest Leawood…?

So right to the end - as a bunch of HOA-controlling developers all got to speak after the actual HOA membership and then Cedar Creek’s own Stockholm-syndrome couple were afforded a helpful dead-last-but-one and dead-last place on the speaker roster - the fishy smell of things did not go away.

The entire sorry, sad, statist and stage-managed kabuki left a terrible taste. You know what I mean if you’ve ever eaten a dead fish raw of the beach. You haven’t? Are you sure? Well let me tell you - you haven’t missed anything - especially not if you were there to object to Oddo on March 11. You got the taste - and it was spot on…!

Shame on Olathe, Kansas…! Shame.

I honestly think such a prime example of "because its beth" is when you look at Kerr.

Now let me start by saying I dont dislike Kerr, I dont like her, Im completely indifferent to her. But when I think of some of the things Ive seen from Kerr, I think you can look at how people react that says so much.

Obviously without the ins and outs of the latest racism stuff, Im talking about how she had used hashtags and stuff on old posts that she has now deleted and yet no one makes a fuss on them (and lets be honest, not that much fuss was made on the current racism thing even before we knew what was actually said), yet you have people bringing up those thatcher tweets with Beth that are as old if not older than the hashtags and stuff on Kerrs posts but yet no one really brings them up. And then you add in that Beth gets called racist just because she was asked a leading question and came out with an ignorant at best response but by no means was it "Racism" itself.

I also think that Kerr has shown just as much support for some "questionable" athletes in the past as Beth has but again, no fuss made on that. But not just Kerr in this case, SO many players have shown support/that they are fans of questionable athletes but again, I dont see people making a big deal about that.

Its just SO clear that its a Beth agenda because its so clear that there are plenty of other athletes that have done similar (and some even worse) and yet they dont get half as much shit and if it was years ago then they get the same people bringing up old shit for Beth that say those people clearly arent the same people they were then and theyve grown up. Its just constant contradictions with these people that show its an agenda

Okay, let me get this clear I'm a massive fan of Kerr for Australia, not at all for Chelsea. Having said that, here's my opinion.

I don't like some stuff she says and does. Sometimes, for instance, when she spoke up about someone telling her goals weren't valid, I found that inspiring. She was brilliant.

But some other times, she says and does stuff that would be genuinely questioned if it was anyone else. That's exactly the reason she went ahead and said what she said to that police officer. I don't think I mentioned this, but I stand by the opinion that she should not have said that. He may be an asshole she may not have meant anything and was very drunk, but still, she shouldn't have said it. I know there are sensible people in Australia who think the same way but won't say that publicly because we all love her. This time, she just said her usual arrogant thing, but to the wrong person. She may or may not be punished for it, who knows.

Another thing is, imagine if anyone else did this, the conversation around it would be so different. Now, imagine if Beth said something remotely similar, we'd all be crucified along with her. There is a bias in how fans perceive situations like that and their preconceived notions about players come in to play when they decide how to react to them.

Only a very few can objectively say yeah Kerr is wrong in the policeman incident, and Mead is wrong in the Krygios incident. DAY 354

i wasn't aware that i was going to be unavailable for other activities besides work during my one week ordeal prior to leaving for Baguio.

to expand this thing above, let me take you back to the early months of 2023, when a certain girl contacted me for taking up her place as a reliever at her workplace (where I occasionally have may part time work when I can, but now is under my never-to-do-list-again which i will tell you in a different story). I, the strong girl that I think I am, took the chance of making extra cash for the purpose above-mentioned. we talked about the schedule but somehow got lost in translation for I also have some agendas on her proposed dates. she was the one stepping aside, changing the dates that should be convenient for me. i appreciated that.

we ended up with the dates August 3 to 10, 8am to 5pm. i also asked some of my fulltime workmates if they were willing to do some part time work and all of them said yes. i took the liberty to write their names on my planner, on what day they're scheduled to go in, and also gave them to the girl. i may not know what i was trying to get myself into at that very moment. i thought "meh what could go wrong". in contradiction to this thought, i prepared a back up plan. if in any case they weren't available on that day, i will take over their shoes. so I asked for my schedule on that cut off to be all night duty at my full time workplace. just.in.case.

august came and the first day was okay. my night shift starts at 7pm and ends at 7am the next day. i did tell them that i will be going to be late for I may need more than an hour to prepare. i got there and everything went smooth. 5pm came and it was my cue to go home, rest for an hour, then prepare for my night shift.

here is where things get a little interesting, or disturbing. certain happenings let my workmates stray from our original plan. hey, i cant just abandon the girl who moved her vacation leave so many times. so there I was, accepting the challenge of another 24 hour duty. you do the math, because this roll continued for another 3 days.

i only got my break when sunday came. but i still had my full time shift, mind you.

then there i was again, 24 hrs of mixed impetus in life for 3 more days. this was the time i questioned myself, and other people. how the hell did they manage this kind of set up???? i mean i can do it, i did it, but how the hell did i????????? that's my question. because thinking back now, i might've enjoyed it but the strength that i had, i wasn't sure of it, of how long it was going to last.

in case you got curious why i wasnt able to take a whole day off, my answer is because I pooled all of my day offs at the end of the cut off. why? baguio baby. hahahahahaha have you connected it all together?

I've been thinking about what lovbian said and I kinda agree with her. I don't know if I interpret it right, but a lot of makeup/beauty standards are expected or even required at work. Dating/sleeping with a man isn't. And if it is that's r.pe and a whole other thing. Dating is voluntarily inviting the oppressor into your life + your friend's life and bed without objective necessity. Appearances help to earn money so it's more objectively necessary thus "allowed" for radfems.

in many cases, partaking in the beauty industry is literally not at all required. supporting the beauty industry has consequences for other women as well! i am understanding of women who do it for work (esp women in the sex industry or working in jobs where women's appearance is so heavily prioritised) but let us not pretend that this is the case for every woman here, and lets not pretend that doing it for work is the same as doing it in other contexts.

it is a fact that we are raised to prioritise men and taught our entire value and goal in life is to have a husband and have his kids. this is why you'll hear the average woman talk about how garbage men are, yet she will desperately try to find herself a man. women are treated like we are worth less than shit for being single (& even worse if we pursue women but thats another topic). many women who choose to not date men end up being ostracised and harassed by their families, treated as if theyre pitiful, and insulted for it. it is not an easy thing to be a woman and to refuse to date your oppressor. i dont know why we're pretending it is easy and like theres 0 consequences for it. if you want to say that there are many advantages to not dating men, i agree whole-heartedly. but let us not pretend that women aren't treated like shit for being childless & single. there's even statistics showing that single women are more likely to be impoverished and homeless!! like! we should encourage separatism, we should encourage women to rely on themselves & to give up men, but i don't see why we need to downplay what it means to choose to oppose what is considered our goal in life to do this.

another thing i disagree with is the argument that separatism in dating is the easiest thing a radfem can do. its easy for some of women, but its difficult for others. we are talking lifelong celibacy for the majority of women (het women), that is literally not a small or easy thing. it can be easy for a specific period in time, but it's not easy overall. radical action is not easy, that's why it's radical. the same way giving up makeup was easy for me but it may not be easy for a woman working a job in which femininity gets you rewarded. we need to be honest about the pros & the cons & the outcomes here instead of downplaying things to suit a specific agenda.

MONDAY, JANUARY 18TH: GOLDY'S LOG

I miss Suga. Scratch that. I miss Agust D. My spirit animal.

I've been thinking about him a lot lately, wondering if his injury isn't an exemption to military service. I wonder if he qualifies, in light of his injury, as an able body. I wonder what their law defines as able body.

I wonder if he passed the legal physical exam and health assessment test when he turned 19, since he's had that injury way before debut. Or if BTS have undergone that mandatory military service assessment since they are all past 19 and what their results are.

Jimin has chronic back pain too. That should qualify him for an exemption to military duty. He can still do desk work if it's that serious.

I should talk to ***** and look into South Korea's law on exemptions to military service.

Moon values the arts and culture industry. There's already been an extension for conscription for the benefit of BTS. Their success and longevity in the spot light perhaps influenced this decision. Should BTS maintain this momentum, an exemption would be inevitable I feel.

I miss them. They've been gone for too long. I'm worried about the impact this is going to have on their popularity if they disconnect from fans for so long or be mechanical about the way they connect with their fans.

I hate the limited access to them. But Scarcity increases the value of a product and it's not surprising if this is the approach BigHit is adopting in the wake of the pandemic.

Limited access not only raises value, it creates demand. Bang PD is a bigbrain marketing genius- I hate it.

I... they confuse the hell out of me sometimes.

How are they going to question my rationality when I talk about moments I feel Jikook are having issues in their relationship or had broken up etc but then have no problem with and even applaud that same rationality when I talk about moments that has led me to believe there is lack of depth in Tae Kook's dynamics or that they are not real by any standard or that another ship in BTS isn't real.

Do I have two minds? Or are they more inclined to be selective in their beliefs based on their biases towards Jikook and against other ships? It's weird.

By the same lens I define Jikook as real, I define Tae Kook or any other ship that includes JK and Jimin as not real. And by that same lens if I feel Jikook aren't together then I'm wrong and irrational?

It really confounds me.

Not sure if they expect me to apply double standards to Jikook in those instances.

I don't think there is right and wrong opinions or perspective when it comes to shipping, but I think if they are right about me being wrong about my perspective on Jikook then I must be wrong about my perspective on any other ship in BTS as well.

I can't be right about one and wrong about another. I'm either right about all or wrong about all.

I can't be 'right' about Tae Kook having 'issues' in their bond in such a way I think it often bars them from fully nurturing their bond and developing depth to it but then be 'wrong' about Jikook also having issues that mess with their bond from time to time when it's the same measurement I use in accessing the depth of bond of both ships.

I really don't understand their way of thinking.

What is right and what is wrong and who decides on that?

I think we ought to substitute right and wrong with 'believe and believable.' The approach to such discourse should be about what one is willing to believe or not believe about certain discussions: I believe this. I don't believe that. Because believes stem from our personal biases towards a subject.

May be I'm reaching on this one. But a single post where V was not even the focus of the post... I think his birthday means a lot to him and he enjoys when people shower him with love and attention and I don't think his birthday is an exception.

And the fact Jin posted for Tae after Tae's birthday says a lot about Tae and JK. Tae had no intention of posting perhaps because he left JM a message on the packages. With Jin I feel he was overcompensating for not posting for him on his birthday...

JK gets a pass. If JM wasn't happy about him not posting for his birthday, he would have pulled a Jin.

Jimin talking about coming to the realization he loves to be loved makes me think JK withholding his affections openly made him come to the realization he loves to be loved. Just a hunch. And the only reason JK would withhold his affections is if Jimin himself estopps him. Those two give me headaches.

ive always thought that any of the Destruction class seem to 'ghost' the opposite aspect's general personality traits. like how Gamzee is a Bard of Rage yet he acts chill all the time. When Rage is generally thought of as 'angry, mad, insane, etc' (if you dont dig enough of course), but then when you dig into Gamzee just a tiny little bit deeper the true meaning of what his aspect is shown (him doing the murders on the meteor, that one time someone said he snapped and did a lot of damage to his black king, etc). what i mean is that Destroyers always seem to do a double reacharound with their aspects. this also applies to Kurloz (seems chill, does a lot of stuff for lord english)

another example is Dirk being seen as a cool kid and thought to be always calm and collected and never shows emotions (like how Bro is), but you dig a little deeper and its a mess of emotions down there.

at least that what i think, the only one that doesnt seem to fit with my theory is Cronus but maybe that's because i dont really know him that well

It does fit in that sense but also I think that in itself is a misunderstanding of Aspects in themselves! Rage is not only anger and madness, and Mind Players aren’t cold, collected, emotionless machines, and that is why I really dislike the Destroyer Ghosting idea, because it is based on a very basic assumption of what the Aspects have to act like.

Even working within those parameters, Gamzee for example is angry and mad, he just muddles it with Sopor. Afterwards he doesn’t even mellow out- Remember him beating Terezi within an inch of her life in Game Over? But beyond that, the seemingly ‘carefree’ and ‘helpful clown’ persona, the turncoat nature, his subtle manipulation, he’s such a chaotic and theatrical character, he fits Rage so well!

Likewise with Dirk. As I said, Mind Players aren’t emotionless, cold machines. God, look at Terezi. She’s such a complex, conflicted character with so much depth and personality and emotion. But even going by the idea, Dirk isn’t a Cold and Emotionless machine either. Even AR, a literal robot, shows himself to push an agenda because of his existential conflict- Trying to ‘help’ aid in Dirk’s romantic endeavors, trying to make something out of himself despite his major limitations. And similarly Dirk himself tries to keep a cool facade in the same way Dave does. Dirk is heavily driven by his emotions. He has a deep existential dread and fear of disappearing, of failure, of being forgotten. He has an overbearing ‘knows best’ personality, that may make him seem detached, but that stems from thinking he knows people like he knows himself, and as such is able to try and push his own personal way of being upon them. He has a deep appreciation for his friends- Trusting Jane to a fault, having such a deep appreciation with Roxy that mixes with regret of being unable to provide what she wants when they’re young, because he knows who he’s attracted to, but he also loves her deeply and platonically looking up to her, valuing her worth more than his own, seeing her as the one holding the group together and having her shit the most straight, DESPITE the fact he had to bear with drunken advances during her teens. And don’t even get me started about Dirk and Jake. Good lord that can of worms. Dirk is almost entirely driven by what he feels for others, and his fuck-ups in reading and handling them, and his own mixture of ‘knows best’ toxic behavior, and ‘you lack worth, you need to prove yourself’ insecurities.

Sorry I always go on rants when Ghosting is brought up, and I do think Ghosting has its uses! Specially also in the power sense. Like, if you Destroy Light, you’re probably leaving Void in its wake, right? so mechanical applications work like that. But when it comes to Aspects as a core of the character, none is chosen because they’re Actually More Like The Opposite. You CAN draw these ghosting or inversion parallels with many characters, not JUST Destroyers, you can see influence that goes beyond with Roleplay, and you can always see the Classpect Kernel, no matter how far gone or how different they may be in one Timeline or Another. Classpects are a majorly convoluted system with so many intertwined branches, and that is why, when people ask me about Classpects, I always mention ‘tendencies’ and ‘possibilities’. There’s not One Way for a Class, or Aspect, or Classpect to be. And often times, in different circumstances, for different people, two players with the same Classpect may literally seem like polar opposites. So yeah. That’s my take on the idea of Destroyer Ghosting.

Lucifer’s Challenge Ch. 1

Description: MC is finally back where she belongs, at the House of Lamentation as well as in Lucifer’s bed. Yet she is surprised that while sharing a room with him that he hasn’t taken advantage of her to the fullest. When she finally find out what has been on his mind shes shocked but shes very interested in hearing him out.

Title: Lucifer’s Proposition

MC knew Lucifer too well to think that he wasn’t happy that she was back. He acted calm and collected, not falling into the tizzy that his brothers had been in the past week since her return but she saw the smaller signs. It was the fact that he was working exclusively from home, even taking his meetings on conference calls so that he was never far away. It was the way that his door was always open a crack and that he was playing music he remembered she liked. They were all invitations for her, hidden ones that were meant only for her and ones she knew that he wished she would take. 

Along with all these subtle calls for her attention was the one glaring sign that he wanted to be with her, the fact that they were sharing a room. This was of course blamed on the fact that her previous bedroom had been destroyed the day of her arrival. Mammon claimed that it was an accident, everyone was using it as a storage room and he just happened to use it to explore fireworks that mysteriously went off. No one else seemed to mind this and were more than willing to offer a place in their own bed for her but Lucifer had been quick to stop the war that was ushering in, saying with no room for argument that his room would be where she would stay. This of course didn’t actually stop the arguing but it at least turned all the anger on him instead of them all bickering among themselves.

MC didn’t mind this solution at all, more than willing to share the luxurious bed with the oldest, but she also didn’t buy that he hadn’t expected this. Mammon was not a master of stealth and the extra pillows, emptied dresser drawers and new silk sheets made her believe that Lucifer might have let this little mishap happen. She also didn’t buy that it was going to take months to repair the damage as he claimed but she didn’t argue, only bit her lip and nodded along to his explanations of needing a very specific and hard to find stone to make the proper repairs. There was nothing to complain about on her end, especially not as she thought about the last night she had spent sharing a bed with him.

Surprisingly though they hadn’t shared another night like that yet. There had been lots of touching and skin on skin, every little bit making her melt into the bed, but Lucifer seemed to be taking his time with her. She just hoped that it wouldn’t be a full year this time before he decided to take that plunge. She was thinking about it again that night, watching the door expectantly as she rubbed lotion onto her very exposed legs. Her sleeping shorts weren’t much longer than panties, leaving lots of soft skin to lure Lucifer in with. The clock chimed and right on time the door knob turned, just as MC stretched herself out on the bed with her legs kicking behind her. 

“Why Luci if you don’t pull any all nighters I would think you actually want to spend time with me,” she teased when he entered, batting her eyelashes and crossing her ankles while propping herself up on her elbows. He smirked but said nothing as he undressed, not looking at her as he did so but making sure to keep his body turned towards her so she would get the full show. She watched with a tilted head, appreciating every line and curve that was exposed to her while he changed into monogrammed pajama pants. They were the type she was sure had to have an equally as expensive top but he chose not to put that on for which she was very grateful. This allowed her to feel nearly all of him as he flipped her with ease onto her back so he could cage her underneath him.

He brushed his lips to her forehead and nestled his nose in her hair for a brief moment before hovering over her. “And if I didn’t know any better I would think that you wanted all my attention, waiting here for me every night. Such a good girl, knowing who you belong to,” he chuckled darkly, the back of his fingers tracing her body with feather light touches. She shivered, toes wiggling and fingers clutching at the blanket as she struggled to dispel all the energy he seemed to fill her with.

“You did tell me that I was going to be rooming with you. I assumed that I meant I would be sleeping here. Or was I supposed to take that as a hint to sleep in front of the fireplace and become Cinderella?” she pointed out, bringing up her hands to rub at his shoulders, trying to keep them from going where they truly wanted. She thought that this was just their usual snippy banter but she was surprised to find his eyebrow raised in genuine questioning. 

“Human fairy tales have no place here. But you have never been one to follow my orders before, I’m just surprised that you chose now to start … that isn’t to say I am upset with obedience,” he said with an air of dismissal but his eyebrows were still knitted together tightly, several hard lines wrinkling his forehead. MC couldn’t help but frown in return, shifting under him so she could sit up and look at him properly.

“Lucifer I’m not just here because you told me to be. I want to be here with you. I thought your offer meant that you wanted me here too … i-if I misunderstood I’m sorry. I know it's been so long, it's probably awkward and it's hard to just pick up where we left off and-” her rambling was cut off with a firm kiss. She sighed into it, hands finding their way into his raven locks and keeping him there. She feared what he might say when he pulled away so she was happy to live in that moment for as long as he allowed.

“Stroking my ego could be a dangerous thing but I can’t deny that I adore hearing you say how much you want to be here,” Lucifer said with their lips still brushing against hers. Her breath caught in her throat and she stared up at him with wide, confused eyes. He laughed at her expression, taking another kiss before pulling away to fully explain. “I’m sure you’re wondering why I was so quick to take you into my bed and yet I haven’t actually taken you yet, my love. Trust me it has nothing to do with not wanting you, you are the only one that I want MC.”

It warmed her immensely to hear these words and she hummed her appreciation of them but she pushed him a bit more “I sense that there is a ‘but’ that is coming with that statement?”

A sad smile graced his features, highlighting all of his hauntingly beautiful face. “I did miss having another intelligent person in the house. There is indeed a bit more to my desire for you. You really are the only one that I want but I know that I am not the only one that wants you,” he said, rolling over so that he rested beside her, pulling her in close with one firm pull “you mean a great deal to all of us. My brothers care for you just as much as I do, in that I have no doubt. So while I selfishly would love to keep you to myself, I can’t. It’s why I’ve restrained myself, I know once I have you it will be quite some time before I let you go again.”

Now it was MC’s turn to laugh. She wrapped her arms around his torso and pressed as close to him as she possibly could, finding that comfort in being tangled with him. “Oh Luci I love that you think of your brothers so much,” she cooed at him, getting a playful growl and eye roll from him “but I love them too. The fact that I get to be in this crazy relationship with all of you is something I cherish more than anything. I may be yours Lucifer but they are mine. So as much as I crave you, I don’t plan on abandoning them just for you.”

It seemed like such a strange discussion to be having, soothing her partners' concerns that she wasn’t spending enough time with her other partners. She certainly hadn’t ever had to tell a partner that she planned on sleeping with several other people and the fact that he was now smiling about that declaration was hard for her to wrap her mind around. But that smile was enough to erase any unease that she might have. This was new territory for her but she was lucky enough to have a very good guide for this experience, someone who wanted to help her navigate it all so that everyone came out happy. That wasn’t to say, however, that he didn’t have his own agenda at the end of the day. MC was about to find out exactly what he really had in mind for her.

“I am very glad to hear you say that,” Lucifer said, MC feeling the rumble in his chest with every word. His arm was still draped over her waist, his hand had been rubbing circles on her lower back but was now dipping lower to grab a handful of her ass. It pulled her closer so that she could hear every word he whispered hoarsely to her “because I have what you could call … a challenge for you.” He emphasized this news with a lick up her neck that ended with a nip to her ear. Her body tensed as she forced herself to not whine and writhe under him, instead hoping her waiting patiently would give her some bonus points for whatever challenge he was about to lay on her.

“I meant what I said, I don’t plan on letting you go for quite some time once I finally have you. But I still dont want to deprive you or my brothers of your deserved time together. Plus let’s be honest, I like it when you’re all worked up for me and what better way than to get you warmed up with them,” he continued, the thought apparently as appealing to him as it was to her from the growing tent in his pants “so, my precious pet, what I want you to do is to seduce all my brothers before returning to me.”

MC couldn’t help but laugh, she hardly thought that something she planned on doing was much of a challenge, but seeing the sadistic glimmer in Lucifer’s eyes that followed she knew she had done the wrong thing. “You know I thought that might be your reaction,” he said, fingers digging into the flesh of her upper thigh just before the point of bruising “so that is why that was just the set up for my challenge for you. I want you to seduce all my brothers but in doing so you are not allowed to cum.” 

Her mouth hung open, half lidded sultry bedroom eyes now wide open at such a demand. It just didn’t seem possible! “I’m not sure if you just have very high confidence in me or none in them. They are far from being bad in bed Lucifer, they are more than capable and in most cases very focused on making sure I get off. More than one of them seem to prefer that more than getting their own rocks off actually,” she laughed nervously, waiting for him to playfully scold her for denying his ridiculous request and use it as an excuse to punish her. Yet while she laughed his expression hardened until her laughter teetered off.

“I’m sorry, did I make it seem like I wanted this to be easy?” he said harshly, leaning away from their cuddly position he grabbed her face, tilting it up to meet his burning gaze “I am more than aware of what they are capable of but when you finally come to me I want you to be little more than a proper bitch in heat. I am not telling you to not enjoy yourself, I want you to feel as much pleasure as you can but your cum is for me and me alone. At least that is the first time you cum this trip, I won’t deny you forever … at least I have no intentions of that now.”

MC believed every word he said and each word made heat grow between her thighs, the thought of being edged so thoroughly burning her up. That’s what I needed to hear, since you are so willing I am willing to give you a little bit of help to accomplish this.” He then kissed her hard, his tongue in her mouth when she gasped but there was something different. It wasn’t in his usual dominating, exploring way, it felt somehow more deliberate as if he was spelling something out with his tongue. It definitely wasn’t any letters she recognized so she tried to ignore it and enjoy the kiss but before long her mouth was filled with a taste she could barely begin to describe. It tasted the way a lightning strike smelled, like burnt ozone and charred metal. 

She was choking on the taste and she struggled to pull away as panic set in her chest but he held her firmly in place even as she moaned in protest. Then, just as quickly as it had come, it was gone. He rolled away from her as she gasped for air, every hair on her body standing up and her skin feverish. It took her a second to realize it but she had felt that once before, the night that Solomon had given her his powers. That had been the unmistakable feel of magic. “Lucifer what the fuck!” she hissed crawling away from him, she trusted that he would never do something to harm her but it still seemed rude to perform a spell she hadn’t been prepared for.

He allowed her to escape, giving her an apologetic look as he slowly reached for her hand. He inched towards her hand but allowed her to close the distance between them before he took it and spoke. “I’m sorry, I do forget that you aren’t used to things like that but I thought it was the best way to transfer the spell. Here take a look,” he said tilting her wrist up. She nearly screamed seeing what looked like a moving tattoo there, a sigil surrounded by seven runes constantly rotating around it. She huffed and tried to stutter through some sort of demand but he cut her off before she could get far. 

“It can be removed quite easily if you decide that you don’t want to go through with this, it will be as painless as being put there. But if you chose to follow through in the challenge I have given you then this will assure you follow the rules. Each of these represents one of us brothers, once you have successfully seduced and brought us to bed they will disappear. And this seal will assure that you can not cum until all have disappeared. You will be allowed to feel every pleasurable moment up until the second you are to reach that release,” he explained almost tenderly looking down at his handy work before meeting her eyes once more. An intensity that she could nearly taste hung in the air when he asked “so what do you think, can you save yourself for me so that I can make you feel pleasure beyond that even found in the celestial realm MC?”

MC could only hear her own heartbeat but she felt her lips form the words she knew that Lucifer had been waiting to hear “Yes sir.”

everyone and their dog is doing it and everyone is absolutely allowed to share their opinions so i want a turn but first let me clarify:

hello im yase, been around since 1.0. I am of turkish and nogai descent and i can speak fluently in tatar, turkish but my english doesn’t hold 100% so i will be all over the place.

Unfortunately this will all be word of mouth and may be taken as vague posting, but I have experienced issues since the release of 4.0 and would like to give my opinions. I want to let this all off my chest this is just a huge vent basically so i guarantee my english will be terrible.

the most important point: NEVER EVER SPEAK FOR ANOTHER CULTURE. NEVER EVER SPEAK ABOUT A CULTURE YOU DON’T KNOW. YOU HAVE SPREAD FALSE INFORMATION AND I AM SO HURT.

another point is ITS A VIDEO GAME GUYS (does not apply to everything but some people really need to take a step back because people are concerned.)

Here’s the hot topic I’ll talk of first: garleans. I personally do not play one as I prefer to play characters that would never be involved in a sense with the political agenda because in real life im too stupid to comprehend anything like that so i wouldn’t even know how my character would behave with the hot topics. I really do think people need to take a step back and see that everyone who is putting in their input is making solid points but personally I would never compare them to nazi germany though I see why people are generalising. I always saw it as tsardom of russia with the use of roman influence as well, something obvious in naming conventions and the way the ranks/monarchy(?) works but it’s not so clear what the main influences of most places in this game if you have a look at the bigger picture. Without like full on spoiling, its weird to have this view to me with the knowledge that ascians are behind this. Are you implying anyone who plays or was influenced by ascians is also under this umbrella? 

Also why THE HELL WOULD YOU TAG SOMETHING KNOWING IT WOULD GET A LOT OF TRACTION AND RESPONSE THEN BE LIKE “you guys misunderstood, I was expressing my feelings” lol no. “ I don’t understand where this is coming from, and at this point, I don’t really want to.” then why did you even fucking bother do it in private dont tag it.

You are COMPLETELY valid to feeling uncomfortable, it is fine because with how much of this world we have there will be aspects some of us don’t like. You are not inclined to involve yourself with someone if they roleplay as a garlean but you do not need to start publicising it in a way that will paint the community in black and white when its truly a wider spectrum.

from that initial and very brief tagged post there popped up many others and new discourse is arising, opening discussions about many things which is better then being blind to it all. but if you have personal grievances with someone and you state its over, let it be over. over the course of this expansion i have had many people of varied backgrounds share with me some terrible experiences and i myself have seen some truly stupid shit.

it is absolutely not hard to tag a post and ask around, someone will pop up. I’ve been doing my very best to let everyone i know that i can help with learning about my culture or to find someone who would be more then happy to explain and share with other cultures. But when you go off of a documentary you saw of Genghis khan or only know of the tourist white people scenes of istanbul you as a community say some TRULY dumb shit.

I like to try and be patient because i myself when approaching someone of a culture i admire and am curious about i want that in turn. But if you say to me things like “Ainu aren’t real” or “Tatar people have nothing in common with tribes from the Altai mountains” its hard to do so.

FFXIV regions are not just “Germany” “Turkey” “Mongolia”. If you think this, it’s clear to me you don’t know shit and are too lazy to explore, further just google shit its not that hard. I had someone tell me that my people could never be in this game since its “Straight up mongolia” fucks sake NO ITS NOT. The designs vary and i can see the differences in simple things like words because i actually bother to do research even coming from a turkic culture. There were some beautiful little things dropped that linked to not only my people but others like Uyghur and Altai. The only place in FFXIV i think could only have a singular influence is Kugane, because from a foreigner’s perspective that’s already interesting enough. Many people have grievances and real issues with how SE has handled Doma’s influences and no one ever talks about that. Representation for asia in media has turned into this mess of specific east asian countries, the trio that even then gets categorized into China/Japan with brief mentions of Korean culture. 

Its frustrating. There are people who are happy to teach you. Who are willing to show what is wrong with the picture.

I have read several posts about Turkey/istanbul/Antalya. Yall fuckin weird you guys seem to think its in U.A.E or some shit with how you act. It’s in the Mediterranean/Europe/Asia/Middle East and there is no such thing as a specific looking Turkish person. You claim everyone is specifically white/brown, HELL NO. It’s a mixed nation and that’s the history of the land, if you had ever fucking stepped in turkey and spoke to any person on the street they’ll say their heritage that lead them to there. People claim Ala mhigo’s influences are turkey but i have yet to see that. As someone who has lived there and has heritage there and is strongly connected to that culture, i dont see it. sure the ala mhigan gown had patternings but thats also present in my nogai culture too because parts of turkey’s society descended from the line of the Kayi tribe. Just fucking LEARN TO READ GUYS. None of you guys even know what the altai mountains mean and i could sit and explain over and over again if you let people SPEAK.

Look at Thavnairian items. We have outfits that are completely different, a full length dress and then a bustier. you can’t start generalising things in video games to be one culture you have to realise most places in this game have several influences. We don’t know a lot but everything we have been given has been varied enough to pin point it to ONLY one influence.

I don’t want to just keep going about this simply because im growing frustrated.

The thing with Viera complaints. I think some are valid but some are stupid. For one as I make this post it hasn’t even been confirmed so there is no reason for policing Viera to a severe extent. Considering all the Ivalice content in game has been an alternate universe kind of thing its dumb as shit. But feol viera being made without understanding the knowledge that people who have played rw picked up is quite frustrating. As a community, its important to help people when we have information that others may need that they cant understand the context of.

I know people are worried about them being fetishized, that is my legitimate fear too as a huge ivalice fan. But this is a repeated cycle especially when we consider generalizations like miqo’te especially seekers and belly dancing or when au ra arrived and people thought xaela were genghis khan basically. 

The game is not solid, there are so many holes in the lore and the plots and i know people hate that but we fill the gaps with our own opinions and theories. While I understand some people think we need to move forward in 2019 because “japan is xenophobic”, its a very difficult thing to do. THEY DO HIRE PEOPLE FOR CULTURE ADVISING. THEY TRAVEL OFTEN AND DEVELOP WITH THIS. IT’S NOT LIKE THEY WENT ON GOOGLE AND SAID “yeah a japan land would be fun” they literally have people hired specifically for this stuff. however, at the end of the day its a company that has yet to show it can evolve with the times. Its becoming more and more evident with the recent patterns of main titles in FF and side projects having so many issues in story/lore/management. remember 1.0 basically died being absolute garbage and this is salvaged from that.

its really late and i had a terrible evening so i may not be making the most sense but theres more important things to worry about then to make this game a miserable experience when it could be a huge learning opportunity for everyone. There’s no need to generalise people into categories because of characters they choose to develop but its important to note with majority of people standing up higher on the pedestal are those speaking for the minorities groups that have direct influences in the game.

Thanksgiving, James and the COL

Last bad James post for the night! Im sorry but i came across another scene and realized something. 

1. James did not listen to Lena, his BOSS when she told him he needed to do an interview with Ben Lockwood and not to meet with the COL. 

2. James left Kara to deal with the interview, completely unprepared where she thought she had won with a nice speech about Thanksgiving, but Ben Lockwood shot her down with the true history of what happened after Thanksgiving. 

3. James met with a member of the COL and went for a walk with him and his dog. The dog barked a lot, every time it did the guy sent a txt and said it was for his wife. 

4. James gets to Kara’s and sees Lena, she is visibly unhappy (of course) and asks if he met with the COL. He says yes and she like ‘well there ya go’. He seems confused? Dont even get me started. 

5. At dinner, Alex asks how the meeting with the COL went. Eliza, says this doesnt seem very safe, gold star for Eliza! James replies he met with a regular guy who feels inferior to aliens and is afraid of them. 

6. Kara says people can be powerful to and refers to James and Alex. Well yes they can, but we arent talking about Alex or James with their ‘gadgets’ and ‘suits’. Kara can say people can be powerful to all she wants, but the fact is they arent as powerful as aliens. 

7. Cue the discussion on giving people Superpowers and Lena being shot down and not even heard because these guys cant fathom the idea of anyone but them having powers. Jonn even says ‘we dont need a bunch of evil people with super powersl’. Lena never said anything about giving powers to criminals, what if they are given to soldiers? Like Captain America? But no we dont get that far because Lena has already been shot down and told No.

8. Now they are having dinner and James is all apologizing for leaving Kara to do that interview last minute. Yes James, you should be apologizing! You were the one who was scheduled to meet Lockwood, told to do it by your boss and left a rookie reporter (i refuse to believe Kara is a master reporter yet) woefully under prepared to do it for you on live TV!  All so you could run off and risk your life, when literally there was NO reason to. 

9. Cue Nia interjecting in the conversation and saying its scary that the COL have trained dogs to sniff out aliens. 

10. Cue James like ‘Whaaaaat? They have?’ OMG James! You were literally with a member of the COL, walking with him on a random street, with a dog and he txt evey time the dog barked. James just accepts that he was ‘txting his wife’. Really? James saw nothing here that could be suspicious? Oh i know its because the guy he met was a regular guy, who was just scared of aliens right? No malice or suspicion there? 

11. Kara is like ‘yeah, the guy Supergirl fought the other night had a dog’. 

12. Realization hits James. He then says that the guy was txting and the dog barking at certain house. Ok, how did he not see this as suspicious at the time? I mean really? 

13. Cue discussion about marking peoples houses, James said he would have seen that right? Manchester says it may not be visable to human eye because the masks have night vision goggles. 

14. Brainy gets a mask out, Lena recognizes the infa red enhancer. 

15. Cue everyone realizing that the aliens are going to be attacked at Twilight. 

Ok, what came out of this scenario? The first thing is James has no respect for Lena as his boss. He left an under prepared reporter to take his place because he had something better to do that talk with the Ben Lockwood and discuss anti alien agendas. He unnecessarily risked his life to meet a member of the COL in a random place. He did not see anything suspicious with the dog barking or the guy txting everytime the dog barked. He was confused as to why Lena was pissed at him. Lena apparently isnt allowed opinions anymore. Nia mentions dogs that can sniff out aliens, and this is already common knowledge at the table. James only now realizes that Tom (the guy) behavior could have been suspicious!  Well duh!! Then we have the discussion about marking houses, but James doesn't see how this could happen because he would have seen it right? Well no, because Manchester suggests it may not be visible to the eye. Brainy has had this mask the whole time and apparently chooses now to actually look at it! 

So, what did James really learn? Nothing! Nothing that would have even been remotely useful if he hadn't come to dinner and Nia hadn't mentioned info about dogs that both she and Kara already knew. If they had not already known about the dog, James wouldn't have had a leg to stand on, would have thought his meeting was entirely innocent and the aliens would have be killed at Twilight. 

In short, There was no communication between James and Kara/the DEO about any of this. James wants to essentially go under cover but doesn't actually see any suspicious s**t even when he is! James sucks at undercover recon! 

Oh and  i refuse to believe that Briany did not inspect that mask the moment he got it!
