sporadic activity notice: so ya gal is homeless ✌️🫠 it’s a big ole long story (one most likely authored by lemony snicket) we are safe, we are able to stay temporarily at an extended stay facility and we have family members helping out. we’re able to take our animals with us to the extended stay place too which is such a relief. but until all that is (hopefully) resolved; considering everything going forward from here on out is a big ole ❓(along with suffering mental + physical health) activity will be quite sporadic. i appreciate your patience and understanding. love you all!!! <3

Religiously i think about one of my twitter mutuals pointing out how aoki's design is subtly asymmetrical while ichiban is more symmetrical
when i think of it, masato's design is fairly symmetrical as well isnt it.....
#snap chats#please no one look at me i shouldve gotten my drink two hours ago#what does it mean .....#i swear my mutual had like. galaxy brain when it came to aoki i swear to god in heaven no one got him like they did#they were also the one that did that glass analysis post i shared some months back#moving on tho...#i guess there is the stipulation that because masato's shirt buttons dont match his shirt like ichi's does the buttons at the top mess it u#but aside from that everything else is pretty even: he has a pair of bangs and while his shirt is patterned its not like. grossly so#the pattern doesnt go particularly one way or the other its obviously just a pattern and the colors arent offensively against each other#on the flipside aoki's hair is more obviously swept to one side and leaving the other side bare#not to mention his tie in general. the 'bulb' part and 'tongue' part even go against each other#as if a diagonal striped tie itself wouldnt be askew to his overall look#again these are very small things to notice but im glad theyre small- it makes sense for a politician's to be subtly incongruent#the glasses are super important to aoki's design too but that's covered int eh glass analysis and isnt about symmetry#idk ... maybe im just waffling on about nothing.. either way i love those posts by my mutual#OH i think of this because i am once again thinking of updating how i draw masato#cause i like the blazer and necklace i gave him BECAUSE of that asymmetry#but now i wonder if thatd go against his design ... so i have to ask 'what underlying message is there for masato to be symmetrical'#i guess- even if he is a creep and a weirdo- he's not. evil? idk ... he hasn't gone totally off the deep end compared to aoki#like compared to what he'd go on to do as aoki he's pretty normal as masato#he is just a guy. who DOES have ties to the yakuza but this aint about that LKCJALKREJVA#he doesnt even like them he just uses them for his convenience 😔#idk. ill prob still draw masato the same tbh LMAO if anything ill just crop his blazer but keep it symmetrical#i guess i cant wonder this TOO much when i give him mismatching rings 💀💀 ill just have fun ig fjaelrvekljv#at the end of the day its never that serious ...... i just gotta draw what makes me chortle. esp for a chara three people care about VJLAEK#but i will wonder ..... <- it is not that deep#ima go bye

I went into bg3 fully ready to have a good time and have done so despite many ways in which the game is not good and have not worried too much over various dramas about patch changes but my chill streak has finally ended and I am wailing gnashing my teeth etc. about patch 7 (the supposedly final one with story/content changes) not adding companion reactivity for any of the durge content in act 2
#gotta regain my chill about this. it doesn't change the good version of bg3 that exists in my head#but like. durge is literally the protagonist character. and a huge chunk of story is just bizarrely missing from act two#all the baddies recognize you and no one reacts#warden says you were an important guest no one reacts#kressa says she had a great time torturing you for weeks no one reacts#and it's so misaligned with companion reactivity for everything else. like#I am one of those players who goes around the camp circle talking to every single companion after anything even mildly important happens#to hear the couple of lines of dialogue they have about it#because they've got a couple of lines of dialogue about every plot development and significant moment in other companion storylines!#but they don't have a single word for enormous central plotline revelations about the player character#it makes the act 3 reactions bizarre too because everyone's shocked by what gortash says and it's like#literally everyone in moonrise was like 'oh hey it's you again' what did you THINK 😭#a lot of people complain about the resist!durge final scene after killing orin being lackluster#and yeah sure I feel it's lacking in a few ways but like. at least it exists.#a cutscene does play and afterwards the companions do react. ymmv on whether those reactions are impactful or fitting#but they do--crucially--exist#whereas in act 2 there is straight up nothing#when people say right in front of the companions 'hello fellow villain fancy seeing you back here again'#there is not even so much as a 'dude are you okay' after kressa talks about keeping durge prisoner and torturing them#okay okay it's fine I'm getting it out of my system I'm gonna be normal about this again#the companions had reactions in the good version that exists in my head 😔#scribblingface plays bg3#okay actually also like larian has made so many changes based on fans complaining a lot about something#often changes that made the complaining people happy but pissed off everyone who already liked the current version#not weighing in on the merit of various specifics but it has struck me as a sometimes odd and unwise degree of#listening to what the players want. like just tell your story and accept that some parts won't please everyone#but THIS THING is universally agreed on by every durge player#because it's not something 'wrong' it's something completely absent that should have been there in order to align with the rest of the game#and yet. we don't get this change in the final update.

We're going through a lot of firsts with this cosplay project which include:
- using a steam iron for the first time (which i fucked up at first cuz i didn't realize you had to put water in the thing like a dumbass)
- using a torch thingy to light a candle for the first time (which requires you to push a lot of buttons at once which is good if kids accidentally find it)
- using my own sewing machine for the first time (which is Baby's First Sewing Machine™️ so it only has one stitch and one stitch only)
- wearing a wig for the first time (we will get back to that one later)
#i'm philosophical#overall it's going pretty ok and i'm doing good with not worrying too hard about the looks of the thing overall#cuz this is my first time Making A Costume which my mom has done for me before and i havent done much of for myself#so i know it's definitely not gonna be perfect and we just gotta get back on the horse and try again#i burned our old ironing board though cuz i did the one thing youre not supposed to do (leave it face down for a while) cuz i forgot#the house does not smell good at the moment dont worry about that#if i end up getting at least one part done in like the next few days i'll post a status update

Ive batch-processed 15 Sonic SpeedSim models over the past 5 hours I swear I can smell colors
#its way too goddamn early in my timezone I need to Sleep#since the game just updated gotta process and compile my rips in preparation. so I can rip This Week’s. heselp#I should probably be keeping spreadsheets at this point. years of logging my animal crossing catalogs finally being put to good use at leas#summer wave’s outfit is the exact same as her tidal wave fit in sfsb Im wondering if its worth having both ag this point#I guess I did keep both of amy’s popstar outfits then again#would be easier if I knew which rips are incomplete generally I delete them and do a new one if theres less than 400ish items from th batch#cause sometimes itll rip all the textures for a model but not the meshes and vice versa which can be deceiving when I see all the#textures I need there only to then load all the meshes and find out it didnt get all the model pieces for the corresponding character#all the sss characters have at minimum 4 meshes to them and 3 texture maps (and thats just diffuses)#combined with ripping things hundreds at a time it leads to a Lot of sifting through per each batch rip#bc of the aforementioned incomplete rips that happen sometimes always do multiple rips of the same scene just in case to minimize my losses#which unsurprisingly adds up to thousands of meshes and textures but storage isnt an issue for me I have multiple terabyte drives#and I have the Autism where I like doing repetitive tedioud tasks so no problem! but it still is So Much for only 2 people#I should stop talking its past 5 am. goobye#hydro.txt
