Hi guys, this is usually what a doodle page ends up looking like <3 (oh, and @ancha-aus thought you might like this! Not writing but certainly fuel to my fire lol-)

This one is New Age filled!!! (Close-ups abd Lore beneath the cut!)

1) Night and Cross!

Night is actually very clingy once he's a teen. He doesn't usually realize it, but around the castle he'll snake to be closer to his Knights so long as there's no one he needs to keep his composure infront of is nearby. Cross is the one who's not used to physical touch (when it's not Ink ofc) so Night in his personal bubble makes his heart melt but also scares tf out of him <3

2) Error and Night's Meeting!

Error was carrying his whole life on his back and trying not to get arrested for unintentional property damage at this point, so when he saw the chance to get back at his brother and prove he was strong enough? Yeah, he got that on chance instantly. And was VERY smug when Nightmare chose him. (Also, Error is wearing gloves, so less Haphephobia)

3) Dream and Blue designs!

I think these are good tentative designs! Dream probably has a more regal fit, but he likes to play up that rugged exile look- He's inspired by Archers, while Blue takes on that classic Knightly-vibe. Their equipment is mostly stolen from Night's troops or brought with them from Blue's home kingdom.

Also, Dream is approx Killer's height at this point, shorter than Cross and *much* shorter than Apple!Nightmare. (Hc that Skeletons tend to be tinier in stature thanks to weird monster beauty standards. Horror and Geno's fam are outliers.)

4) Horror and Dust designs!

Horror is naturally a very *large* monster. He's very malnourished when Nightmare meets him, but by the time he's a Knight Nightmare has made sure that's no longer the case. He actually loves comfy, simple clothes, but to play up the whole 'strong mysterious' bit he wears a more barbaric Knight's garb. He doesn't mind acting scary, it's more fun that way :]. Dust is very very small, and envies horror sometimes for his size, but his tiny stature let's him control his body and move a lot quicker. He's very much based on a rogue, and usually covers the lower part of his face w/ a black cloth, and the upper part w/ his hood or mask. Dust only removes both to bathe, eat, or relax in a safe location. (Ignore that I can't draw the stupid gaster blaster lmao-)

These last two were space-fillers, but Cross and his Borzoi (Windmill, otherwise known as Milly (Killer named her-)) and really bad first wips of Ccino! I think Ccino was a chubby, happy toddler, but lost a lot of 'weight' (bone mass? Magic?) due to stress and pressure and bad eating habits. So it isn't until a while after the Coronation that he starts to relax abd feel safe enough to eat normal meals (Nightmare used to guilt him into eating snacks together, but as his boss (and younger brother) he can encourage it more often). By the time Killer shows he's still not quite healthy, but he's better. As more weight is lifted off his shoulders, the better he is. (That 'beauty' most people saw was a more stereotypical slimness, but Killer never stopped seeing Ccino as beautiful-) I think he never looked traditionally underweight, so no one noticed, and it was only much later that Night processed it. (And maybe it's why Dream hardly recognized him later on-)

got a little too insane about my woy oc and somehow ended up planning an entire au (well idk if it counts as an au, because its just an imagining of season 3) and started worldbuilding dominator's home planet and thinking about a potential backstory for her

ramblings and explanations under the cut for anyone interested

so after the finale when dominator's stuff got all blown up and whatnot, so in s3 shes trying to rebuild and enact her revenge ofc (the whole amount of stuff i have planned for the au is a lot more complicated but it does also feature Emperor Peepers!)

most ppl say she came from a dif galaxy but i like to think she actually is just from a real small planet on the outskirts and that she had social issues her whole life bc of her general love of destruction.

I think volcania 5 would have a big focus on the themes of warmth and rebirth part of lava instead of the whole destruction thing, to dom's dismay haha

thinking about dom's backstory, on principal of who she is, and what she means for wander's themes and arcs, i dont want to give her a tragic backstory, but more so one where if she acted even somewhat differently it would not have happened

i think from a very young age she was shit at socials, and bullied other kids bc she liked the feeling of power that came with it, so she never really had any friends. and i dont want it to be all "no one gave her a chance to be a friend 🥺 " kinda thing. nah she was given CHANCE AFTER CHANCE. but that combined with her need for control not a lot of people actually enjoyed being around her. To make matters worse Volcania generally raises children communally, so there was no family per se to love her unconditionally

Okay onto the worldbuilding for volcania 5!

The ipvo ring is an artificial ring and is used for intraplanatery travel (like an interstate) Ipvo stands for intra planetary Volcania. Bc there are many planets who have ip rings and for ease of reference they are labled for the respective planet

Also theres a whole thing with lava manipulation technology being banned for being too powerful (the bottom right is mostly focused on that)

Basically my idea was that shortly before their space age, lava manipulation was discovered, and subsequently used to establish a dictatorship. It was violent and terrible, but they gained a lot of tech knowledge that let them gain space travel

Eventually though the dictatorship is overthrown and lava manipulation is banned for being too powerful (kinda viewed how nuclear devices are viewed irl, they got a lot of potential harm even if stuff like nuclear power would be nice) This is taught in schools and stuff but dominator is ofc like "YOOO THATS TIGHT, HOW DO I GET MY HANDS ON THAT"

Eventually she hollows out the volcanium core of volcania to make a basic vers of her ship and then makes a bigass bomb she puts into the hollow core

The moons survive tho, so after the finale she slinks off to zon to rebuild!

thats basically it for now bc i dont want to write a whole essay in here haha! But if anyone is interested I will talk about more stuff like the general ideas and arcs that i've thought about for this au (admittedly beyond dominator and my oc 1ou, i have probably only thought about peepers in a lot of detail)

ASL brothers HAIKYUU!! AU!!!!!

Day one of Self Indulgent month for me! I love these three, i love haikyuu, i love killer whales!

(The Naval Academy is this au’s version of marines)

For those who dont know, in Haikyuu (and prob in real life too but in my experience its not as important as they make it in the anime) The "Ace" of the team is the person who primarily scores points via spiking. Theyre the Hard Hitter, basically.

Originally, i was gonna make their school mascot just "The Pirates" but i couldnt figure out a clever pun with the school name so i scrapped it in favor of an animal mascot. I figured I would have a wider range of puns that way.

I landed on Orcas as the mascot because I think they really embody a pirate way of life. Theyre strong, hang out in groups of a mix of found family and their actual family, hate the rich, and theyre fun loving! And also im a bit biased because theyre my favorite animal, but hey, i said its self indulgent month, didnt I?

Their school name is a play on the word for Killer Whale (Shachi シャチ) and the word for 'knowledge' (Chishiki 知識), i just smashed the two words together. I'm very proud of myself for coming up with that given i dont speak japanese at all.

Anyway, with their designs, I was taking inspiration from orcas to match the design themes of haikyuu. Ace's hair is bleached on the underside to look like the underside of an orca's body, I made ace and sabo's eyes look more whale-like, the clip in sabo's hair is meant to resemble to spots behind orca's eyes, and I tried to make luffy's hair look more like it's round and spiking down more than i usually do.

Ace is wearing a ''way of the ace" shirt in the first picture, Luffy is wearing a shirt that just says "VOLLEY BALL" because i think it would be funny if he wore a bunch of those Zero-context-poorly-translated-random-english-words shirts that theres a bunch of in Asia. Sabo dyes his hair like delinquents do, but it doesnt much look delinquent~y because of how soft it looks. He means to do it to make him look like a delinquent though. Sabo still has his scars in this au, but he uses his hair, arm braces, and leg braces to cover them up. LUFFY AND ACE HAVE FUNKY SOCKS BECAUSE NO ONE CAN TELL THEM (or me) THEY CANT. Sabo wears athletic socks though because he's a debbie downer. He defends himself saying “It’s practical” and Ace and luffy call him “practically a Debbie Downer.”

Luffy is very good at receiving from growing up with Sabo and Ace practicing setting and spiking with eachother and assigning Luffy as Ball Boy. So he got the libero position from that cuz sabo and ace put in a good word for him. Nepotism.

I didn't feel like coming up with designs for them, but Zoro and Bepo are also on their team (theyre in the fifth image sitting on the right of the line of students). Koala and nami are student managers, Robin is the teacher manager, and Franky is the coach. all other straw hats/luffy friends, rev army comrades, and whitebeard brethren are in the stands. Im trying to keep the ages consistent with how they are in canon.

I didnt do a very in depth research, but i couldnt find what Japanese schools have as mascot costumes. and given no one wears any costumes in haikyuu for their team, i can kind of assume they dont use them over there. But unfortunately for them, I'm American. And part of the backbone of our schooling system, is Vaguely Unsettling Mascot Costumes. My sister says my design for it looks like its from Club Penguin, and i find that delightful. [moment of silence for my billions of fallen Puffles, taken from me in The Shutdown] Anyway.

I thought I was clever coming up with the equivalent of the Marines in this au being a Naval Academy. And their mascot being Seals, famously the animal that gets the absolute Worst Of It from orcas. Get shit onnnnn

   Rae knew she should’ve checked the weather before she’d left. She’d caught mentions of the heavy rain to come, but evidently she was too distracted to remember before she’d reached campus. All she could think about was reaching the spot she liked in the tree before Matt did, as they were rivals in practically everything, even when it came to places to relax and work on homework, or study for a test.  After her first two classes, she had a long lull period until her next one — and so did Matt. So of course, once the tree was in view, Rae had caught a glimpse of Matt approaching from the other end of the walkway. Their eyes meeting had been the only communication that passed between them before they’d made a run for it.

   They were both fast, so they very often had to practically wrestle each other for the spot every time and this time had been no different. She hadn’t been paying attention to the way the sky had gradually begun to cloud over, how the wind began to pick up speed as she wrapped her arms around Matt from behind and tugged him backwards, both of them laughing and yelping, overall making a ruckus like always. Shouts of No, you don’t, you got it last time! and That doesn’t count, you dragged me out of it and took it yourself! and of course Well, maybe you shouldn’t throw things at me while I’m concentrating! filling the air.

   Then, quite abruptly, the rain started. They made it back beneath one of the awnings to one of the buildings, panting and dripping onto the pavement. Thankfully, they weren’t soaked through, just slightly damp, but Rae had let out a frustrated noise nonetheless. ❝I didn’t even bring a damn jacket,❞ she huffed as she sank down onto the ground, her back resting against the building behind her. She hadn’t noticed Matt digging through his backpack until a second later, her brows narrowing curiously. ❝What’re you looking for?❞

   An answer came in Matt pulling an extra sweatshirt out of his bag, which made sense. However, he’d made his way over to her and merely dropped it on her, which took her by surprise. ❛You’re lucky I brought an extra one,❜ he said with a smug grin, clearly proud of himself for being slightly more prepared than she was. ❛I know, I’m so thoughtful, what would you do without me?❜ Rae scoffed and rolled her eyes, but she was smiling — all the same, she lightly kicked one of her legs out, aiming for his feet. She knew he’d dodge her attempt easily, but she couldn’t resist.

   ❝Oh, shut up,❞ she said. That didn’t stop her from leaning forward slightly and pulling the hoodie on, wrapping it around herself as she leaned back against the building. It was huge on her, she was practically swimming in it, but she didn’t care. It was warm … and it did smell like him, she noted with an annoying little flutter in her chest. Rae cleared her throat, crossed her arms … but then, with a hint of something genuinely softer, she said, ❝… Thank you.❞

I don't think we as a community wrote enough about demon ctommy. he was always my favorite it just gives him this evil vibe that I think is sooo funny and I always see it in ctommy art but never in literally any fic. and that's fine but imp or whatever-he-is-Tommy will always be real in my heart. in my head he used to be a bird hybrid, but when he died for what was supposed to be the final time they took his fucking wings and gave him cunty demon horns and tail. Death made him emo. for the sake of this narrative his wings used to be white too. Pair this with religious ctommy and you get peak

ctubbo. I think about him a lot. I think personally he wears armor under his coat. You'd think it start to get hot under there, and it does. his solution is to just Never leave the Arctic.
