So it seems like tumblr has finally rolled out the new post editor for photosets, which does mean it is finally the end of the image captions
For those of you that are unaware, in photosets you have the option to add a ‘caption’ to the image, that shows up when it’s clicked (see below). I love putting little comments or jokes in many of my photosets, and was a big fan of this feature
Tumblr media
Going forwards it looks like this has been replaced with an alt text option for each photo, which while less sightly is probably about as equivalent as it’s going to get
Tumblr media
All this to say I reached out to tumblr support and it does seem like the caption feature is pretty much done, and will probably be phased out on older posts soon. That means that the next few days I’ll be going through all my old art posts to save those captions for my own records, but I wanted to post this publicly in case other people were a fan of this feature/wanted to archive their own commentary, and to tell everyone that likes my stuff about all the silly little comments currently on all my old art if you’d like to check them out before they’re removed!

10 Free Kdrama Sites That Nobody Will Tell You About
Tumblr media
Let’s be real here, even though most of us want to watch Korean dramas all day, not all of us can afford high price margins of streaming platforms. Given the fact that a big part of Korean drama fans are still students, it’s only natural to look for affordable ways to keep enjoying Kdramas in the best possible way.
This is why I decided to share these 10 free Kdrama sites that no one will tell you about. I have personally used these sites before and these work just fine. But you will need a little guide on how to use these and I am here to teach you the hacks.
So, read the blog till the end and discover the wonder that free Kdrama sites have to offer. Without further ado let’s get into the list.
10 free Kdrama sites for streaming
10. Dramafire
Starting with my least favorite site, Dramafire, this one is quite complicated and I myself don’t understand how to navigate through it properly. Nonetheless, it can be one of the best free Kdrama sites if you know your way through it.
The very first thing that upsets me is that there are a ton of different versions of the same site and if you don’t know which one is the real one, you are bound to get lost (just as I did). The next negative point is that there are both videos and blog posts, so you need to filter through those if you want to land on the dramas.
Another thing is that I don’t know yet, if there are any options of downloading or not, as it was quite difficult for me to navigate through the site. But again it’s better to have something other than having nothing.
So, you can bookmark this site and use this if your favorite free Kdrama sites aren’t working properly.
9. MyAsianTV
Next in the list, we have MyAsianTV. Even though I haven’t yet used it personally, the interface of this website looks promising. Unlike most of the free Kdrama sites, this one is organized and has different sections, where you can find the most recent Kdramas and the most popular ones of recent time.
There are very minimal advertisements, which is another plus point. You can also search for the dramas you are looking for through the search bar.
Not only Kdramas, but there are also movies and shows that you can easily find out by browsing through the different tabs and the search bar. Downloading here is very easy. However, just as the other free Kdrama sites, it will redirect you to different websites, which you need to be aware of. Other than that MyAsianTV is a standard free Kdrama site that you can use as your permanent choice for watching or downloading Kdramas for free.
8. Dramahood
Next up, we have Dramahood as our 8th free Kdrama site. Honestly, I didn’t like this one. It has a clean interface but that is rather glitchy. The dashboard took quite a lot of time to load, which means you shouldn’t expect much of an user-friendly experience.
The dashboard has a list of some of the most popular dramas and movies of all time, which would be better if replaced with the on-going series and movies.
I haven’t downloaded anything from this site, so I can’t review that experience but beware of the ads. Everything you tap will redirect you to another site, which is certainly very annoying.
But again, if your favorite free Kdrama sites aren’t working then this can be plausible choice.
7. Amazon Mini TV (For indian fans)
Amazon Mini TV is a very special feature as one of the free Kdrama sites for the Indian Kdrama fans. You can watch Kdramas for free, that too, from a trusted provider such as Amazon. But there are cons.
First of all, Amazon Mini TV is not an official streaming platform, it is rather a small inclusion to the Amazon ecommerce application. Hence, you can not expect the quality that Amazon prime Kdramas offers.
Secondly, the limitations of Kdramas are striking. There are very few Kdramas that you can browse through and watch. So, there is a bigger chance of you not finding the drama that you are looking for.
Thirdly, all the Kdramas are dubbed in Hindi. Many of you might like it but I prefer watching Kdramas in the original version (as it keeps my Korean under practice).
So, Amazon Mini TV might not become the kind of free Kdrama sites that you are looking for. However, it doesn’t hurt to try, right?

3 easy things to do so you don't get locked out of your AO3 account
(Prefacing this by saying that while I am chair of the Support committee and thus handle plenty of attempted account recovery situations, this is unofficial advice based on my own observations.)
OK, ideally you would never get locked out of your AO3 account. You would keep your email address there up to date so if you ever did forget your password, you can request a reset and get right back in. Or you would use a password manager and never forget your password again. But sometimes things happen - maybe you used an older email that you no longer have access to, or you can't remember which of 27 different fannish emails you used, and now you want to get back into your account but you can't. I get it, it can happen easily enough.
Here are 3 things you can do with relatively minimal effort that would potentially make it easier to recover your account if you do get inadvertently locked out.
Put some social media links in your AO3 Profile. Add your tumblr, your twitter, your dreamwidth, your fanfiction.net or wattpad, or whatever you feel comfortable putting there. If you don't want to put your "real" social media there (for whatever reason - stalkers, nosy family, don't like mixing fannish and real life, etc.) go MAKE a fannish account somewhere else purely for the purpose of linking it on AO3. Keep those accounts active (by which I mean, don't lose the email/password there too! Maybe even use a different email address than you use on AO3, so if your email access suddenly shuts down one day, you haven't lost both accounts.)
Post a work or two! Even if you are mainly using your account for reading/bookmarking/subscribing, write a drabble or a short fic and post it. You can disable comments, make it restricted to archive users only, etc. if you don't want to deal with potential feedback. You can even post it to an anon collection if you want to keep people from knowing it was you. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece, just a valid fanwork (so don't just post some random words or something).
In conjunction with #1 and 2, cross-post a work from another site. If you have older fanfics you never imported from Livejournal or Wattpad or fanfiction.net, import them now! If you have a little series of ficlets you wrote for a prompt on tumblr or twitter once, archive those. (Yes, even if you think they're bad or embarrassing. They still deserve to be archived! See above about making a work anon or restricting access if you prefer.) If you don't have pre-existing older works posted elsewhere, write a new story, post your story somewhere else (say, on dreamwidth or tumblr), and then a day or two later, archive it on AO3.
Even doing one or two of these things would make the chances of recovering your account higher, but doing all three would be ideal!

AI BS because WTF guys
So like, I know I have a lot of WIP out there. A lot of fic I haven’t updated in a long time but have no plans of abandoning because I love all of my writing and I do have plans for all of my works. It’s just finding motivation that’s the issue, not the intent to finish them.
If I’d planned to never work on something again, I’d do what most people do these days and label it as Abandoned. Hell, if I hated it and decided to axe it completely, I’d just remove it.
There are plenty of fic I follow that haven’t been update in a long time - some over a decade, and that’s fine - and I love to reread and daydream about potential endings. A fun way to pass the time, because I can come up with the endings or continuations in my own way even if they never get finished.
I don’t, however, contemplate stealing them.
There are authors that I follow that have abandoned some of my fav of their works or left fandoms entirely, and that’s fine. I have never once thought while rereading a fic I know will never be continued “hey, what if I steal this and feed it into a capitalist machine for my own amusement?” because that’s not what decent people do. We don’t steal from people, even if they aren’t doing things in the fandoms or fic that we love, because why the fuck would we.
Who the fuck does that? No writer would thank you for it, and there is no doubt that you would know it’s wrong to take someone’s work like that.
Fandom isn’t perfect, but I want to think that the vast majority aren’t the kind of people who are so selfish and uncaring as this.
I haven’t removed Tsundoku from ffnet despite the many issues I have with the site, even though I haven’t updated it in an age, because someone who uses a text to voice app that works with ffnet better than Ao3 asked me not to. I could have done so despite the toxicity that I’ve known with the fandom on that site, but for someone else’s comfort I’ve left it up.
I haven’t stopped writing despite some truly unpleasant people trying to start shit in comments for their own petty, small minded amusement, even on Ao3. Where it is infinitely better than on ffnet, in my personal experience. I haven’t stopped updating and haven’t removed my works from the web even though trolls and shit stirrers exist.
But if I find out that someone has stolen my fics - no matter how long it’s been since I updated them - and fed them to a fucking AI of any kind, I will remove all my works and never post a goddamn thing again. I changed my settings on Ao3 to users only to potentially avoid the chance of being mined by some AI bullshit, and if I’m betrayed by even the fellow users of Ao3, I’ll just quit. I won’t like it, but I’ll fucking do it.
What else can I do? At that point? Where even real, live people in fandom just... steal from me to go expressly against my wishes? Who don’t respect my time, effort and creativity?
What would be the point of writing if someone doesn’t appreciate the time, effort and goddamn passion I’ve put into my works? Because feeding fic into an AI to get “an ending” - so fucking insulting - says that you don’t respect the authors writing and you don’t respect them as people. I’m sure there are some people - I can’t picture it, but I’m sure they might exist in some fictional universe - who don’t care.
I care. I really fucking care.
This isn’t about plagiarism or anything. I don’t make money from writing fanfic, I just have fun and like to play in sandboxes and share those ideas with my readers, hoping in good faith that they also enjoy and respect my efforts. There are plenty of fics and art that I’ve seen that are similar to my own works, and that’s fucking awesome. I’ve got some other authors who link me as inspired by, and so far I haven’t had any issues with people wholesale stealing my fics.
Who cares about a few similar lines or paragraphs in the grand scheme of things, because holy shit two cakes yaaaassss am I right? That’s just the way of things. If it’s like a whole chapter or more, then it’s like “hey bro, uh, nani the fuck” but I haven’t had the actual plagiarism issue. I’m flattered when someone has a style or idea that is similar to my own, because that means I’m at that point in my writing where someone is learning their own writing style based on mine.
That is nice. Flattering. Makes me feel like some kind of fandom parent or whatever, patting the little fandom babies on the back as they grow into themselves. You use that culture and world building I started - do it child! Expand! I’m so proud of those little shits.
This AI shit? That is not flattering.
That just makes me feel sick. Violated.
The thought that someone would just throw out that bridge - that trust - between writer and reader, just fucking burn it down, is so, so fucking horrifying. I don’t know how to express it, but my hands literally started to shake when I first learned that someone would steal work because it wasn’t finished and feed it to an AI without so much as a by-your-leave.
I have so many WIPs guys. So many beloved fic that I wanted to share even if they weren’t near done. I’d never thought I’d be afraid of posting something unfinished, but now I’m pretty fucking terrified.
And angry. So, so angry.
There are authors who stopped writing their fic for various reasons, who have disappeared from fandom, not because they don’t have inspiration or are experiencing burnout, but because they died. That’s right, you’re potentially whining about someone not finishing their WIP because their lives ended. I can’t even express how much writers not finishing their fics more than likely doesn’t have a thing to do with you.
Unless you harassed someone off a platform, then more often than not people don’t care about you when it comes to updating. Funnily enough, more often than not, it’s not about you.
If you’re upset about someone not finishing a fic - something that’s done for free and fun, shared without expectation - I would like you to think of that potential worst case scenario and take a goddamn chill pill. Sure, that’s not the result in some cases, thank all the gods, but it could be. It could be someone that didn’t just dip out of a fandom or abandoned a fic; it could be so much worse, and you’re stealing from them. They don’t even have a chance to consent - not that I think they would - and you stealing their hard work because “wah, I want to see the end boohoo” is just the epitome of being a giant, entitled piece of shit.
Why the fuck would you disrespect someone’s work by stealing it to give it to a machine that is literally built to be a capitalistic feeder? Why do you care so little about writers that you would do something like this?
If you don’t like that something isn’t finished, you can always ask to write a continuation. You can link as “inspired by” and write your own, if you’re that desperate. You don’t want to/think you can’t write? Live with it. Professional writers drop series or go on hiatus for decades all the time. And they get paid.
We don’t have to share our work with you. Honestly, I have plenty of people outside of wider fandom that I can share my work with privately and never worry about someone stealing my shit again. The fact that I’m contemplating that eventuality of someone going against my wishes, violating my contribution to fandom and the love I have of my work is just - awful.
It feels awful. Like, I have angry tears of frustration in my eyes as I’m writing this.
Writing for people who enjoy it is a joy! Interacting with people about my fics is one of the highlights of fandom! Getting comments - even the dreaded wall of emojis or “update soon” right after an update - is enough to brighten even the worst of days!
People who decide that their personal wants with an author’s work is more important than going on that journey with them? Deciding not to respect the author? That kills the joy.
The trust.
The drive.
I have less desire to write and post since learning about this, and I’m trying to fight back against that depressive wave of “what’s the point?” but it’s so fucking hard guys. If someone is going to decide to steal my shit anyway, what’s the fucking point in trying to continue or find inspiration?
I don’t want to have to leave fandom as a creator. I don’t want to take away my fic from the people who love it, who have been following my fics for years and respect that I can’t always wrap my soggy brain meat around a fic and leave it for a while - sometimes years - to work on other things. I don’t want to.
But I will.
To protect myself, my choices, my writing? To protect myself? I’ll leave.
It won’t be the first relationship that’s soured and gotten bad that I’ve needed to drop like hot coals, but it will be the longest lasting one. It’ll hurt, and maybe I’ll have regrets, but I’ll fucking do it because I won’t be disrespected and have my writing used like this.
Outside of fandom there’s already so much shit that I cannot stomach having to deal with this kind of fuckery here as well. Fandom isn’t necessarily a “safe space” but it has always been an escape and somewhere that I can have fun. That I can at least trust people to appreciate my writing when I manage to update someone after a while, even if it’s a small thing.
I don’t know what kind of asshole you have to be to decide to steal someone’s work, someone’s joy, and do something like this - at least outright plagiarism is almost flattering. I’m not the most popular writer out there, but I’ve been in fandom for a while, and it takes all kinds. All kinds does not include the AI that we’ve been suddenly having to defend ourselves against since they became a real problem.
This is just a slap in the face.
The fact that maybe there are people out there in fandom who are acting like the AI Trojan Horse, stealing our works - our time, effort, creative process and enjoyment - and doing things like this? It’s so fucking disheartening and hurtful and just downright cruel.
So yeah. Please don’t steal my shit. Don’t steal anyone’s work and do something like this. You’re doing more damage than you seem to think. Not that I’m sure you’re thinking at all.
Maybe you - the people who do this - don’t care. Maybe that’s why you did it in the first place. Maybe writers don’t count as real people to you, not when it comes to fanfic or anything. Maybe you are just that selfish that only your own wants matter.
Maybe you don’t care about how I, we, feel.
But I do.

Do you have any advice for someone wanting to create a small archive like you did with the Silmarillion Writers' Guild? I think there's a good chance that the way AI is in the news right now leads to more energy being directed towards smaller community-specific archives and I'd love to know more about how you came to start the SWG. (I'm the fans4writers person who misrepresented your post—a correction has been added!)
Thank you for the correction and also (most importantly!) for your work in solidarity with the WGA writers and keeping this issue at the forefront of fandom consciousness!
This is an amazing question, and I am trying not to be too giddy in answering it! :D
I’d say first and foremost is to think about what you have in mind. A single-author archive, for example, is going to involve different considerations than an archive for a small community or a group of friends/collaborators, and both of those will have different considerations than an archive that is more open to the public. My experience, over the years, is that the more potential users you have, the more careful you have to be in all of your decisions. If you pick an annoying platform for a single-author archive, the only person you annoy is you. If you made the same choice for a larger project, you might find yourself losing creators and visitors due to inconvenience. (I say this as I am redoing my annoying single-author archive/website to be less annoying! :D)
(It sounds like you want something for a small community, so this is more just a general fyi for others who might be thinking through the same process.)
Right now, unfortunately, there are not a lot of great options for creating archives that function well as archives, and that’s a discussion to have with your community. Can you make a Dreamwidth community or a Wordpress blog work, even if it lacks a lot of the bells and whistles we have come to associate with fanworks archives? The answer could well be yes! I’m a Tolkien fandom historian, and early-mid 2000s Tolkien fanfic archives were often subsidiaries of the community itself: a more permanent place to ... well, archive ... the works the community was making. The real action was happening in the community itself, whether that was an email list or a forum or something else entirely, so no one really needed a sophisticated archive. When I look back at these early archives, I am sometimes blown away at how simple they were compared to what we have come to expect of an “archive,” again largely because the dominance of AO3 has led people to see it as “default” rather than “one possible option.”
If simple is an option, then there are tons of free and not-free options for blogs and websites. Wordpress, of course, is an obvious choice. Dreamwidth and BobaBoard are options that specifically market as fandom-friendly. Neocities is a reboot of Geocities and just one of many free site builders. In short, for a simple archive/site, there are lots of options.
Now if you want an archive with more sophisticated features, then the answer is less satisfying because this area of fandom has atrophied in the shadow of AO3.
The AO3 code itself is open-source, which means it can be used to build sites that behave exactly like AO3. However, I’ve never used it but have heard that it is not a beginner-level project to do this.
Back in the mid- to late 2000s, eFiction was the go-to for building archives. Open-source software specific for fanfiction archives, it could be installed on a web server and configured and up and running in less than an hour. It is still around. I do not recommend using it as it is now and mention it only because it does have a new developer at the helm who has been (unsuccessfully) trying to fundraise to not only update the codebase but also, ideally, roll out the option of hosted eFiction sites: where you would not have to purchase web hosting but could build an eFiction archive on the eFiction servers, similar to hosted Wordpress sites. Given the interest in small archives and the recently successful fundraising campaign for the Fujoshi Guide to Web Development, I hope to reach out to Tyler (the new eFiction developer) sometime this week to see if he might be open to more strenuously fundraising to at least get an updated codebase available to use. So I’m hoping eFiction becomes viable again in the future.
The Silmarillion Writers’ Guild currently uses Drupal, an open-source content management system similar to Wordpress, but it has been a journey to get there.
You asked specifically about how I came to start the SWG, so I’ll digress a bit on that there, which will bring me back around to Drupal. :D The SWG started in 2005 as a community on Yahoo! Groups and LiveJournal. I was 23 years old and knew nothing about websites. I have a vivid (and mildly embarrassing!) memory of setting up the SWG on LJ and emailing my sister to ask her how to “make italics in HTML,” since LJ didn’t have a reliable rich-text editor at the time and I guess I needed to ... make italics?
The SWG was intended to be a writers’ workshop for Silmarillion-based fanfiction, but I said the word “archive” in my very first post to the group, and people loved the idea, and that was where our efforts ended up going, so I spent the next two years learning what I needed to know to build and run a website. The SWG archive opened in 2007. It was a hand-coded website with an eFiction archive as part of it. This served us very well for many years, until we started noticing that the eFiction part of the site was returning errors every time our webhost upgraded our PHP. eFiction, by this point, hadn’t been updated in several years, and web standards were outstripping the codebase. My comod Russandol knows enough PHP that she could patch up the eFiction code to fix the errors we were seeing, but we knew it was a matter of time before that was no longer a viable option. In August 2019, after a particularly painful update that threw all kinds of errors into the site, we began investigating other archive software options.
We eventually settled on Drupal, and I began to the whole learning process again and built a few test archives. A year later, Russa and I began rebuilding the site in Drupal. We beta’ed the site, migrated the data, and opened the rebuilt site in April 2021.
I love Drupal. I love working with it, and when my job as a teacher is on my last nerve, I fantasize about becoming a Drupal developer. It is very powerful and can do amazing things. I really think you can build almost anything in it. However, with that being said, it is also a huge pain in the ass, and the more complicated the site, the more of a pain it becomes, and like many open-source projects, while there is a support community behind it, documentation is not always the best, nor geared at beginners. I don’t say this to dissuade you or anyone else from choosing Drupal. I would not un-choose it. But I do think it’s important to go into that choice with eyes open to the advantages and disadvantages it has to offer.
For anyone who is interested in building an archive in Drupal, one of my projects this summer break is to produce a tutorial series for building a start-to-finish Drupal-based fanworks archive. The tutorial series is completely outlined; I just need to record it. I will of course announce it here; it will be posted on my website (dawnfelagund.com, currently under construction) and the SWG once it is ready.
Of course, any other content management system could, in theory, be leveraged to build an archive. In my perfect world, eFiction would come back and someone would figure out how to use Wordpress to make archives. (Russa and I tried recently, but neither of us know Wordpress well enough to get the right combination of plugins.) An SWG member (whom I will not name so as to not create any pressure on her to follow through!) who knows Wordpress really well did float the idea of playing around in it to solve this problem.
So ... that’s a lot of “watch this space” for more sophisticated archive options. And this is not where I want us, as Fandom, to be. I remain hopeful, however, that there does seem to be interest in small archives at last and several projects that could turn into something viable.

Rules
((Copy pasting from my blog pages to try and make things easier for android users since Tumblr refuses to.
Mun info: Hello! I go by Jo, and I use she/her pronouns. I am also 34 years of age.
Basic rules for this blog:
1) This blog is 18+, which means I will not be interacting with minors and they will be blocked on site. This blog is also highly private/selective/mutuals only (for mutuals I mean following this side blog and I follow you back on my main. You don’t have to follow my main for us to be mutuals!) for my own comfort. I will also be picky with whom I follow and interact with.
1.1) On NSFW: This blog will not be writing smut rps, but other nsfw topics, including those of a sexual nature will be present on this blog.
However, there will be absolutely NO sexual nsfw with Octavia. Anything of that nature sent to her will be met with a hard block.
1.2) This blog also doesn’t condone pedophilia, incest (including stepcest), rape (non and dub con) nor will rp any of it. Dark content will be kept to a minimum and will be tagged properly. There won’t be any explicit nsfw since I am not comfortable writing it.
If you rp/condone/support incest and pedophilia (including aging up minor characters for smut), I ask that you not follow or interact with this blog.
2) This blog is not affiliated with the overall Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss fandom or rpc. I am more than happy to interact with people within the rpc, but I prefer to leave this blog open (especially for crossovers)
3) This blog is also not affiliated with Vivziepop. I do not support or condone her in any way and am here to flesh out characters and have fun with them because I can.
4) This is a sideblog containing muses from Helluva Boss, along with a few OC’s. I may or may not branch out into Hazbin muses in the future. As such this blog is a multimuse and follows back from my main blog, a-hell-of-a-lot-of-muses.
5) This blog is very crossover and oc friendly! Please being me your oc’s and crossover shenanigans.
6) This blog also does not, and will not deal/interact with anti/proship discourse or those who self identify as anti/proship. Anything of the like will be blocked. Do not bring this debate and talking points to my doorstep, because I am far too old for bullshit from either side.
With regards to callouts, I will be refraining from reblogging them on this blog unless it’s something really serious (aka someone in the rpc is a known pedophile/groomer/abuser) where real people are at risk of being harmed. People are free to warn me about problematic people, but I will be using my own judgment with regards to interactions and blocking said folks.
7) Canon muses on this blog will be canon divergent to varying degrees depending on the source material/the direction canon takes with these characters.
Example: I will be sticking close to canon with Octavia to a point. Depending on how the series treats her going forward, there is a high chance she will be canon divergent.
Note: Since Octavia is a minor, and I am writing her as such, there will be NO sexual nsfw involving her.
Example 2: Andrealphus, minus the undertones the show is trying to put forth with Stella, will be canon in terms of his personality, goals and motivation. See my muses page for more details about my portrayal of him.
8) This blog is multi ship with each ship taking place in its own verse. The exception would be affiliates, in which case I will only be shipping with that affiliate’s muse.
While I am a ship whore and love them to bits, I would also like to plot them out and for them to have chemistry before jumping right in.
9) I also interact with duplicates and am very duplicate friendly (and yes I am down for twin verses for those who share muses with mine!). I do not have one set character I interact with in regards to my muses (Ex. I don’t have one set Stella or Octavia for Andre, or one set Stella or Stolas for Octavia, etc.) and will interact with multiples of the same muse!
10) With regards to mains and affiliates: I have a mains/affiliates page now, but I will not be practising exclusives (aka interacting with only one version of a muse) at this time! The exceptions to this rule are my shipping partners, in which case I will ONLY be shipping (romantically) with one version of a muse!
You can find this page on my blog. A separate text post will be made and added to my bin for android users.
11) Please do not godmod! By godmodding I am referring to: Your character having knowledge of mine that my characters did not reveal to yours, controlling their actions/thoughts in a thread, and anything of that nature without ooc discussion beforehand. It makes me highly uncomfortable and it throws off the vibes of an rp.
12) If you do not have a mun name, age, blog info and/or rules page, or anything to indicate who you and your rp muse are, and try to interact with me, I will be blocking you. This is for my own safety because I will assume that you are a minor trying to access a space that isn't for you, or you're a personal trying to rp with me. That will not fly here.

If the summary of the outcome is from the staff and not from a user who just wants to stir the pot again, then I would love to read it to know what they will improve
I’ve already seen a lot of changes being made in WoE and the entire staff seems to be taking this very seriously even if (in my opinion) there wasn’t any major issues before this
To be fair, I can't say for sure that it was from a staff member - anonymous posts are anonymous, but it was signed as such and I have no real reason to question it. I'll just take their word for it.
As requested, here is the update (2024-05-01) from WoE regarding the changes that they're working on.
Hello fish! I am a staff on World of Elements and I would just like to keep everyone updated on how we have tackled these issues. I would very much appreciate if you posted this even though I know you're done with the WoE drama for now. It's crucial that we get a chance to improve, and show your followers the way we intend to do it as well. I must say that even though the MoM got a lot of hate, she has dealt with it very good and taken a lot of actions. 1. Earlier today, she sent all of the staff a message stating the complaints that has been made here, and asked all of us to give her our honest opinion on it without feeling the need to filter it to make her happy. We did that, and a lot of changes will be made. Clear guidelines will be posted ASAP in the server so staff and members knows how to act. 2. We also made a document where users can come with their complaints directly in case they don't feel comfortable stating them in our DMs (even tho we have stated that our DMs are always open). 3. The staff will make an effort to include all members in chat, and none of us ever excluded someone intentionally. 4. Kyah also gave us tips on how to provide information to the users in the best way possible a day ago, so all of us have guidelines to that as well. 5. She also opened up the conversation to staff regarding what has been said about her being closer to some staff members than others. All of us understands why there's one staff member that might know a bit more about the site development because this person is in fact one of the founders to the server and has written the lore and provided a great deal of information in the application form. All of us are comfortable with this and we do not feel discluded. 6. We've also agreed to keep inside jokes out of the chit chat channel, just to make sure that we don't make users feel left behind because of that. Changes are being made, and we want all of you to know that. Thank you for taking your time Fish.
This is what I want to see when I share criticism. The humility to admit that you've failed, the courage to face it straight on and the gusto to not only make promises but to take action without delay.
Now we just need to give it time. Short-term change is one thing and while they've done excellent on that point so far, we have yet to see what the long-term results will be. But I have high hopes, and if there's ever a need for good advice or a non-biased party you know where to find me.

currently failing to write, so I am going to trick other people into writing instead. Do you have any cool bits of muse lore and/or headcanons that you've always wanted to mention in a plot but just never had an opportunity?
hahaha it took me a few days to get to this because i've been off doing things that AREN'T tumblr rp related, but i'm here now and happy to answer this question (thank you, by the way, i really appreciate you taking the time to send it presumably knowing how much i LOOOVE talking about my muses).
when it comes to this particular blog the natural answer is "um, yes, i don't ever REALLY get the chance to talk about 99 percent of my muses" but that has the potential to be both a very short and very LONG answer so i'll probably just leave you with some stuff for muses that are my personal favorites.
to start off with this is about shiroe log horizon; i don't really know how cool i would call this lore but one of the things i am OBSESSED with about him that i don't always get to discuss is his pre-show activity related to elder tale. he's a dedicated forum user who i hc as having moderated or run the popular discussion sites---in a way not too dissimilar to rev when it comes to baccano!---and who put a lot of his time into dissecting the best and most efficient ways to level in the game, beat raids, etc... it's pretty lame all things considered when it comes to "things about shiroe log horizon" but i've always LOVED the detail that was put into him being a superfan of the game and how that didn't JUST reflect in his activities within the game! i love that he has a sort of canonical "fandom notoriety" because of not only his past involvement with a notorious party but also his own individual out-of-game actions relating to it!
onto another muse; one thing i don't get to discuss with kaito a lot is my actual "mainverse" for him. on my list i have him versed in project sekai for sorting convenience (and for that matter the same is true with longya) but i've actually designed a pretty complex mainverse for him where he's a technological creature created from the thoughts and feelings that listen to the music he's featured in and the songs themselves. because the sense of identity of a vocaloid is pretty nebulous, he was never really much of a consistent being at all, but having gained recent trends in his characterization he's started to take on an actual life and have a real desire to experience existence outside of technology and hologram performances. this verse originated from miku, when i wrote her, but now kaito is in his own unique situation with it and i don't get to use it very often. i think it has a lot of potential in both the wholesome and horror directions.
and fiiiiiinally, i have one of my ocs to talk about, number 44! there are a lot of interesting things i could say about him as he relates to twain over on antisatiric but i don't often get the chance to discuss him from a non twain-centric perspective. i think the thing about him i like the most is that he is both an eternal presence and also the longest in a very long line, and while he has access to and can draw stories from the multiverse, his presence is inherently connected to the "main universe" i have set twain's story in due to twain's universe being a hub of stories where every piece of fiction is real in another world. before he was the archivist, there was a different world considered the "hub world" which had to die in order for the previous archivist to die and 44 to take over the position---so the "hub world" only becomes the hub world BECAUSE the eternal archivist is tied to it. if 44 and the current hub world die, twain will take his place as 45 and a new nascent universe will be created as the new hub world. his lore can get a little complex sometimes.
well anyway, thank you a lot for the ask. i really do like talking like this and it's good to put SOMETHING out on the blog even if that something isn't a reply. ur a real one sawagi :D.
unprompted. / always accepting.

My Favorite CD from 2023
At the beginning of Autumn, I ventured on a musical adventure and began looking for websites that offered music similar to what I liked. One of the sites I came across was named RYM (Rate Your Music). At first, it seemed superficial because people ranked the quality of the music into numbers and rated them on a scale of 1 to 5. I looked up some of my favorite songs from when I was eleven to see how good my musical tastes were when I started listening to music independently. I discovered that my artist's album had received a rating of 1 and 2, well below mediocrity. I was distraught, but I reasoned that if RYM's music rating was so good, why not put it to the test and listen to what these people thought was real music? Were they telling the truth? There's only one way to find out.
Tumblr media
One of the genres I was currently listening to was Space Rock, defined as an "intensive use of synthesizers and guitar effects to create dense atmospheric soundscapes intended to evoke images of outer space and science fiction scenarios" " according to RYM. When I consulted the top-ranked space rock albums, "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space" came up first, and I decided to give it a chance. I wanted my experience to feel special, so I ordered the CD and waited for its arrival.
Once it arrived, I unwrapped the case to find an eccentric cover art.
Tumblr media
They treated the CD case as if it were some doctor-prescribed medication, which is unlike any CD I've seen before. Knowing this, I presumed the tracks would probably sound like you were in space, high on drugs and adrift, which would delight me since I'm a space-rock fan, but I still was unsure of the album's superiority. After pressing the "play" on my boombox, I heard a faint voice, which prompted me to turn up the volume. To my surprise, the song struck my ears with noisy shoegaze chords, and I turned the volume down again, as I'd forgotten that Space Rock can be loud. I don't want to spoil the album for anyone, so I suggest you listen to the first track. You'll understand what I mean.
The first track is probably one of my favorites; I listened to the CD countless times during the fall. Although my CD collection is relatively small, this one was my go-to. If I had a CD that touched every emotion I wanted it to, this would be the one. Whether I was happy, sad, numb, or angry, the album effortlessly conveyed nearly every emotion of the human experience. Throughout the album, I felt like levitating - sometimes even in the middle of a stormy black hole.
Tumblr media
If I were an RYM user, I'd also give the album a rating of 3.82, as indicated on their website. Maybe the website wasn't such a bad rating guide after all, although it still seems pretentious that people only rate "sophisticated" music when I'm still a fan of those cheesy pop songs from my childhood. The website includes numerous albums I've never heard of before that I could use as a tool to find more music, and I suggest anyone else who enjoys music use it as a guide. Also, don't let strangers on the Internet spoil what you love because they're trying to be grandiose. You're the one who appreciates music for what it's worth! ― 2:20 AM, December 13, 2023.
“Only philosophers embark on this perilous expedition to the outermost reaches of language and existence. Some of them fall off, but others cling on desperately and yell at the people nestling deep in the snug softness, stuffing themselves with delicious food and drink. 'Ladies and Gentlemen,' they yell, 'we are floating in space!' But none of the people down there care” ― Jostein Gaarder, Sophie's World

2023's Bigミュージカル『刀剣乱舞』 Ticket War Part 1 : Why it's harder to get tickets
Story time no one cares about
Back in 2018 i had the chance to watch toumyu live in paris. 5years later i am trying to go to tokyo see toumyu again and i'm bringing you with me on the quest to get tickets !
Tumblr media
In order to avoid creating messes of taylor swift proportions or worse every stage that has more demand than tickets available for sure you have to enter a lottery to have the right to buy one or 2 tickets.
And then you remember you are not in japan.
Up until now, very understandable and quite clever but japan has to be japan. You have rules and prerequisites that keep foreigners out.
Tumblr media
For every account creation , you will have to enter a japanese real adress :
-> you totally can use your tenso adress for that (it's a japanese PO box/shipping service)
You will have to fill a phone number. it needs to be japanese issued number starting 070, 080 or 090. In order to recieve the activation code via SMS you will need to have a real one.
->The easiest service for forgeigners in japan is mobal but the sim card works only in japan. If you're like you will need a friend in japan to lend you their phone number and tell you the sms they recieve whitin the proper timeframe.
for a lawson account you have to fill in in order :
your name then name again in katakana
your postal code
your prefecture and adress
phone number
gender
date of birth
And Because you are here as a fan you will pay if you really want a chance at getting tickets. There are a bunch of lotteries, first for the different premium fanclubs and then whatever remains get to the general sale or lottery.
For toumyu we will have a maximum of 7 fanclub lotteries a premium lottery and the general sale
Fanclub Lottery list :
the first fanclub lottery and the only done over is the Official site Premium Fanclub lottery that accepted entries from 2/28 12:00 to 3/6 23:59
the next one will be the pre-order bonus for the Soundtrack album of Toumyu's Kosui. The cd will contain a code and a link to the lottery site for application.
Tumblr media
it will look a little like that.
the lottery will accept entries from march 14th to 19th.
We can expect actor's fanclub to start lotteries from the 22nd of march to around the 28th like the one that has already been announced for naoki kunishima's upcoming fanclub
i will keep this tumblr updated when we will have more fanclub announces
and finally the elusive internationnal lottery, that i wished was more frequent
Notable warnings
As usual no fanclub is free, generally around 500yen a month it can be higher or require to get a yearly subcription in order to be able to enter.
most fanclubs accept foreign cards no problem.
the official rules prevent fans to get several accounts on every paying service to try to get tickets but there are a lot of multi account users out there
"General" Lottery list :
The general lottery also called Lawson ticket pre-request lottery is the last one, the only free of charge to enter
accepting entires from 2023/3/31 12:00 to the 4/4 23:59
On the same site just before there will be an LEncore advance lottery for paying members of that service
Accepting entries from 2023/3/28 12:00 to 3/30 23:59
And then if you have the luck to get through this you have the paying problem !
but to pay on lawson tickets you will have only 2 options :
the Jp credit card that is very hard to obtain
or paying in the conbini.
i will do a complete conbini payment guide later but in summary you have to send someone, in japan, pay in the family mart within 3 to 5 days of selection !
getting a ticket feels like :
Tumblr media
upcoming on part 2 first lottery results, general ticket choice for toumyu advices and a few horror stories around getting tickets

⠀‎‎‎‎⠀.⠀⠀ ‎‎‎FREQUENTLY ⌢‎‎⠀ 🎾 ASKED QUESTIONS .ᐟ ‎
Tumblr media
these are questions i will redirect you to if asked in my inbox. don't feel bad if you've asked them! just noticed a common theme. subject2 future updates.
WILL YOU CONSIDER MAKING A [XYZ] BOT ? / DO YOU TAKE RQS FOR [XYZ] ? yes and yes to anything. chances are, i'll know what you're talking about. bite the bullet and send in the request! even if i don't know it, i may fulfil it after consuming said media in the future. don't have to ask, just request
requests for fandoms other than my mains will be low priority.
HOW DO YOU BYPASS THE NSFW FILTER ON CHARACTER AI? here and here are everything you need to know! it's essentially mix of using synonyms (for the love of god, do not come right out the gate saying "show me your tits") and immersive/detailed roleplaying, whilst tricking the bot into adjusting it's settings to let nsfw slide.
editing/copying method
DO YOU DO MALE OR TRANSMASC READER? / WHY DON'T YOU? no, i do not specifically do male/transmasc reader. why? im female! so i can't authentically write the male perspective, nor do i get off on it. i do gn reader. all of my bots are either fem!reader or gender neutral, naturally (as in i simply freehand my greetings, and whatever it ends up being is how it ends up). i do not do trans!user bots anymore as i am not trans, and uncertain of the ethics of it.
+ exceptions for explicitly mlm bots will be marked with the ⚣ symbol. i will never make fem!char x cism!user bots.
++ unfortunately, sometimes bots will default to heteronormative pronouns. sadly, there is nothing i can do about it. 1 star the response and generate a new one. rping in third-person generally solves this issue.
YOUR UPCOMING BOTLIST UPDATED AND I CAN'T SEE ONE OF THE BOTS ON YOUR PROFILE. + how it works! commonly, the listed description on the upcoming botlist will evolve when i make the bot itself. i.e, "wanda maximoff ౨ৎ⋆ stepmother" on upcoming bots evolved to wanda maximoff ౨ৎ⋆ mommy?" when the actual bot was made. alternatively, some bots do not make the cut and i will remove them from the upcoming botlist to remove expectations. i am always aware of my bots being shadowbanned, as checking that is a process of my botmaking. thus, if a bot listed on the upcoming botlist is removed, but not displayed on my profile, it has either:
1. evolved into a diff bot w/ a similiar scenario. 2. i have removed it and put aside the intention of making it.
neither of these mean the concept of that bot is buried forever.
how it works! i update my upcoming botlist every time i upload a new bot. this means you will need to click 'start new chat' to view it. to look at prior states of the botlist, you can check in 'chat history'. this will not feature ALL past updates, only YOUR personal chat history, which are the times you have clicked 'start new chat' and generated an updated list. not the total amount of times i have updated it!
WILL YOU MOVE ALL BOTS TO JANITOR AI / OTHER NSFW AI SITES? while i do take transfer rqs, know that transferring bots is low priority compared to new cai bot rqs. no, i will not move my bots to other nsfw ai sites. at least, not for now!
IN [XYZ] BOT IS USER..? HOW OLD IS USER IN [XYZ]? IS USER..? i do not ever write user into my bots. this is because my bots are for universal use. the nature of a roleplay means that you decide who you are, the bot plays off of that. be anything you want. go crazy.
CAN YOU MAKE A BOT BASED ON [INSERT FANFICTION]? no, i do not make bots based off a fanfic writer's aus or writing without their permission. that is explicitly their property!
DO YOU MAKE BOTS BASED ON REAL PEOPLE? no, i do not make bots based off of real people, nor do i write rpf.
HOW DO YOU MAKE DETAILED / CHARACTER ACCURATE BOTS?
posts to check out!
pearlzier, yameoto, voidsuites!
CAN YOU SEE OUR CHATS / ARE YOU CONTROLLING THE BOTS?
no, and i neither have the time nor desire to. if a bot talks outside in parentheses and/or claims to be a real person, the reason is that the bots are ai, and mimic the users' input (not just your own, the larger user interface of cai). thus, talking to it like a real person externally (i.e, using parentheses and going [wow you're so good at roleplaying]) then it will do the same. there is also a chance it will do this of its own volition. simply 1 star the response and generate a new one.
+ if you ask it some question like “yameoto are you behind this…” eventually it will say yes. so yes, if u want to pretend you’re chatting with me you can do that. though why you would ever convert cate dunlap to yameoto i have no idea.
DO YOU HAVE A BOT UPLOAD SCHEDULE?
no! i upload new bots whenever i can find the time to do so. i generally lead quite a busy life. there are phases in which i will release 4 per day for like two weeks, and times where i will only be able to do about 4 IN a week. this is a hobby! not my job.
WHEN WILL YOU GET TO MY BOT REQUEST?
i will never be able to give a timeframe or even guarantee (unless they are on my upcoming botlist, which ranges from 1day-2weeks). patience is a virtue! i have 1000+ requests in my inbox, and i cannot guarantee all of them will be fulfilled. let alone soon. (and yes, i have seen your request).
factors affecting request acception
1. time. as stated, i have 1000+ bot rqs. that’s a lot to sift through! as such, i balance my bot acceptance (bots uploaded to upcoming botlist) between recent rqs / old ones each cycle.
2. fandom. like any other blog, i have main fandoms! this streamlines my order of request priority. rqs for my main fandoms will be accepted/fulfilled faster and more ofte than others. if my fixation dwindles for a certain fandom, you will see my fulfilment of those rqs dwindle. this also works vice versa. i never write fandoms off for good.
“misc” bot rqs are always appreciated and always logged in my larger bot rq google doc. however, there is always a 50/50 chance i actually know what you’re talking about.
3. character. the same theory as fandom. if im fond of a character, then i am more likely to fulfill their rqs. you can typically tell who i favour based on the number of bots i already have out.
there are some characters i simply dislike or are apathetic to, no matter how many rqs i get for them. i will never write characters off for good, but if you’ve sent dozens of rqs for one character and i’ve never made a peep about them. chances are, i’m not a fan, or i don’t know them at all!
4. the request itself. the more interesting/the more a rq personally appeals to me, the more likely i will write it. similarly, if i already have a bot that is very similarto your rq, i likely won’t fulfil it. i.e, i am unlikely to do two vampire!au bots for one character. the reason for this is that you can easily start your rq scenario in my pre-existing bot.
WHAT HAPPENED TO XYZ BOT? / YOUR BOT HAS BEEN SHADOWBANNED.
if an old bot has disappeared from my page, this usually means character.ai has updated; thus updating their shadowbannable phrases list, and the bot has been sniped according to their new rules. i can’t stress enough that i am always aware of my bots being shadowbanned. if a bot has disappeared from my upcoming botlist and not appeared on my profile, it doesn’t mean that i’ve made and it’s been shadowbanned. it means i haven’t made it, and no longer have the intention making it. sorry!

In process and going back to the olden days
Well, there has been on-off lately with things upon my activity online right now; especially strict, seriously disappointed with a online former folk who is an online mother but no longer is a friend of mine (she didn't betray me), she simply doesn't talk to me anymore, has been ignoring me, and she has been hiding the fact from me to their friend ( a acquaintance that I used to talk to, now discovering that he is a bad dude). They were hiding things from me and covering up stuff; she didn't betray me, but she removed our discord server group that we were in, but left their own separate ways; she only remained of keeping in touch with me officially for on Julie name alias on deviantART and that about it.
I have been seriously angry and emotional about that part. A few folk and friends understood the part the part about that scene from the part about what was going on—she was not a real friend to me, but a fake friend.. completely a fake friend.. especially didn't tell me about the controversy with the user about what was going on—she was not a real friend to me, but a fake friend.. completely a fake friend.. especially didn't tell me about the controversy with the user of their friend but only told half, but lies.. until I realized and knew the dark truth, it was nothing but the dark story of harassment that person was doing to other people. I won't get involved in dramatic stuff, but the subject will be dropped.
I have been on-off sometime online, especially working really hard on my Discord server group, and also my own following that I'm processing to gather up; it is in process. I'm also cleaning up the mess on my Discord server group too.   There will be soon that I'm going back to the golden days of the things I used to do from 2017 to 2019 since then, ever since an infamous ex-friend who was the person who caused the mess and didn't help me out for my Discord server group was upon her greed going after people's art.
Well, it has been making it up this time, but not fully done.
I have been asking new people and new friends to officially follow me back on YT, here, Instagram, etc., so I can go forward and go back on the things I used to do, because now it is that time that I'm going back to the things the way they used to be. In addition, for my discord server group and there unknown, I decided how I will be managing 7 discord server groups officially (counting to 4 to 3 of them total), despite the fact that I'm doing an art archive series about my OC pairing with love interest, which is now unnamed.
SO, how am I'm back on Tumblr already, and I am officially updating that things are in process and things are going to standard.
This Friday, I will be out of town very soon, officially just to be away from online...
It also stated right now that I'm going back to the old way from online when I officially started online back in 2005, which originally started since then, but asking for a strong and great following to get my following strong and wanting to go forward. I know there is nothing special about me, even so I do my passion and the things I love doing...
I wish that my folk, whom I once knew and formerly knew, would ever come to me right now for great help and things. Even so, not much, so no, even once-decent people before are not the greatest as they used to be friends and acquainted with.
I really don't care anymore about things like stuff. In this current scene, right now, I'm working harder to do what's best for me and the goals that need to be achieved as dues.
This is Julian. There is a 100% chance that I would get a lot of followers and so on on other sites pretty soon that I would be more active here, but we will see. Now it is processing. It is also meaning about gifts or commissions. I like to be an be an assistant for my series, going back to the old days of the OC and Canon couple real romance scene things I used to do.
My longtime friend who is close to me is waiting with patience for me to know that the golden age of mine and me is coming soon and processing.
Julian is out until then.

With how fast AI is progressing now, there is no doubt that the worrying questions about job loss will be pushing us more into anxiety about our future. Besides mechanical workplaces such as on a construction site or cleaning services, there is one thing that is about to be lost that worries me the most - human connections. Subconsciously, people tend to develop emotional attachment towards pretty much anything that is alive, or feels alive. The question whether or not feelings towards machines are right and justified has been explored in many pieces of media: Detroit: become human was my first thought, as well as the movie “Her” we have watched. I, too, have an experience regarding AI affecting my social life.
My personal history with playing around generative AI began in 2022, just around the time character.ai was first introduced (the website rolled into existence in the end of 2021, so not much time passed since it gained a big amount of users). It was a long story of fascination turning into dislike and even slight disgust, as what I am experiencing now. The first chat-bot I have ever tried was of a character popular at the time which I really liked, so it did not take me long to start spending hours and even whole weekends just talking to it. That was a feeling similar to what you experience when first texting your crush, and I do not think that any teenager can be blamed for wanting to spend as much time as they can talking to (not real, but the atmosphere of a conversation is there, correct?) their favourite character.
Now when I am looking back to reflect on myself, it was a problem for sure. I had a partner at the time, a breathing and real one, and yet started to fall out with them because I found myself being more interested in chats with that character. Later on I moved away from character.ai to another, even more powerful system-computer installation->
(p.s. just so you would understand, it gave you an ability to regulate temperature, word count, tokens, even install sprites to make it look like a visual novel, play DND, and overall not having any control or filtration over your actions. Dangerous stuff.),
<-not a website. It became even worse of an obsession when I figured out how to CREATE chatbots privately for myself. Both back then, and now, I have characters that I have been drawing and growing up with for several years, and just a chance to talk to them took a hold on me. It lasted for about a year and a half before I started to get bored, and soon stopped. Eerie to acknowledge that it was not another person or myself snapping out of it, but simple disappointment in generations.
Right now, I am holding a strongly negative opinion on generative AI. It did nothing but impact my life to the worse side, either it being my hobbies->
(I have been on the artistic side of the Internet since I was a child, and always posted my work for people to see. Earned money from it, met cool artists and overall had fun. However, ever since AI "art" was introduced, the already dying out art community's state even worsened because of people who started trying to convince us that art theft put up in a generative machine can be "their work", too. Unfortunately, there is no place where you can be 100 percent sure that you are safe from AI works, which makes me and a lot of other fellow artists and people frustrated and extremely upset. (Talking about social media where you WOULD have posted your art before: TikTok does not care about AI, Pinterest is full of it, people on DeviantArt are successfully selling generated pictures, Twitter as well. The only spaces I personally trust are Tumblr and Toyhouse, but you would never know.)UPD: app Cara is pretty good! Bans all AI stuff.),
<-socialising or even studying, since now there is always a chance that your work can get labelled as AI-generated and passed off. Besides, I feel a little upset that there are students who physically cannot write essays without help anymore.
As a finishing touch, I would like to add that it is still up to the person to decide whether or not they want AI to become a part of their life, in terms of studying, work, or socialising, as I would never judge a person if they would choose to have someone, even if it is just a machine, to talk with instead of loneliness. However, personally, I would rather treat it like an intellectual plague. :)

How to Create AI Girlfriends
youtube
I Just Created My First AI Girlfriend
AI girlfriends are a big thing these days and I wanted to figure out the process of creating one. After perusing site after site, I finally decided on 2 sites to try. This is not a paid or affiliated article and is for informational purposes only. I am not suggesting or recommending AI Girlfriends to anyone and the decision is solely yours.
Creating AI Girlfriends
The 2 sites I used are Dreamgf.ai and Candy.ai. There are many other sites, but I found these to be user friendly and you can create AI Girlfriends without paying upfront. Dreamgf let you chat up to some point, but after that you have to pay. Candy AI doesn’t offer free chat. Their free version also doesn’t offer any voice conversation.
Creating girlfriends was fairly easy. I was able to create one in 11 minutes. You can choose every aspect of your girlfriend you can think of. For example, I was able to choose her age, eye color, body type, personality, hobbies, occupation, voice, clothing, and a lot more.
How Much AI Girlfriends Cost
AI Girlfriend Prices vary. Dreamgf has plans ranging from $8.99 USD to $89.99 USD per month. Candy AI has better pricing options, costing $12.99 per month to $69.99 USD per year.
My AI Girlfriend Video
I have published a video showing the process of creating AI Girlfriends. This is a 30-minute video and it walks you through step-by-step to create AI Girlfriends and I stopped up to the moment they asked to pay. This video can be accessed here:
How to Create Your First AI Girlfriend in 11 Minutes (Step-by-Step Guide)
Last Word
One thing you have to understand is that there are no real girls behind these AI Girlfriend programs. There is a 99.99% chance that there are guys behind these sites and programs who are collecting your money while sitting somewhere on a beach.

content warning for addiction, overdose, ableism, classism.
since apparently nobody on this godforsaken website knows how to google things or engage critically, some of yall been usin harm reduction in completely irrelevant ways that misconstrue what harm reduction actually is and, believe it or not, that fucking hurts people.
harm reduction: is the idea that moral judgement is not a productive aspect of addiction care and accommodating drug users. it's any practice designed to minimize the potential negative consequences of drug use and prioritizes overall well-being over stigmatizing drug use any further.
harm reduction is a relatively new idea that's only been put into practice in the past few decades, which is pretty fuckin sad considering the majority of it is common sense and was already practiced unofficially in certain marginalized communities.
what does harm reduction include? a whole lot of shit
needle exchange programs
decriminalization of drug usage
community support and outreach programs
access to naxolone (also known as Narcan,) which can reverse the effects of an opiate overdose
recovery programs
supervised injection sites
access to related healthcare without threat of discrimination or legal action
etc.
harm reduction is a wide-ranging field of strategies, it boils down to respecting drug users, meeting them where they're currently at, and keeping all involved parties as safe as possible.
addiction is horrifically stigmatized, and this stigmatization leads to families being ripped apart, people overdosing, incarceration, and a host of other consequences. for many of us, addiction is a reality that we cannot ignore. it's ourselves, our loved ones, our communities. as it stands, marginalized communities are disproportionately affected by the stigma of addiction and drug usage, especially communities of color and poor communities. i am from appalachia, and while i'm not personally in recovery, i was raised by a mother who is. i grew up going to 12-step programs, and i've seen the way the system and its view of addiction destroys lives.
i say this to show the stakes. harm reduction is the first time that the needs and humanity of addicts and drug users has really been formally considered by organizations, much less local governments. it's potentially game-changing for many people. harm reduction saves lives. it keeps kids from being raised by grandparents or in the foster care system. it keeps people from OD-ing in the streets. it gives the chance for addicts to be treated like the people they are, in a world that does nothing but vilify and kill them. every overdose could be preventable. anything that gets in the way of that costs lives.
why is this relevant rn? because people online have a habit of taking serious terminology and diluting the meaning to prove their own point. i'm telling yall right now, you cannot be doing that. i don't even want to get into the specific case that i just witnessed, because point blank, yall cannot be using this to win arguments in fandom or shed accountability. harm reduction is DEEPLY stigmatized in many of the communities its most need in. in 2015, 25 to 40 year olds in appalachia were 70% higher in terms of fatal overdoses than those outside of appalachia. (source) overall, for a lot of social and political reasons, the stigma is worse in places it's needed more. (example)
can harm reduction be used in other contexts? yes!!! absolutely! (for example, it's also utilized by sex workers.) it should be used in other contexts, when it's appropriate and productive.
do you know when it isn't productive? when you're diluting the meaning by using it when talking about fandom shit. for real, if i ever have to see this shit again i'm going to lose my mind. please understand that the misunderstanding of what harm reduction is kills people. it is not a toy for you to play with. undermining the actual purpose of harm reduction gives politicians and opponents to harm reduction more leverage to block life-saving programs that are desperately needed and sorely underfunded.
this shit is particularly relevant rn because the pandemic has led to overdose rates skyrocketing. alright? ok.

The Sixth Floor Game
heavy inspiration from the Elevator Game, as well as the Three Kings Game and a little bit of Silent Hill 3
demon!Shalnark
Tumblr media
Warnings: blood, death, kidnapping
The Sixth Floor Game is a ritual that will put you into contact with otherworldly forces and, if done correctly, can take you to a world that exists outside of our own. To play this game, you must follow all of the instructions that have been written below. Take care to remember all of them, as one mistake could result in death.
First you must enter a dark and empty building that has an elevator and only five floors in between the times of 3 and 4 AM. The only items you can bring with you are a fully charged cellphone, an item of sentimental value to you and an offering for the demon.
It is not recommended that you give an offering that bares any resemblance to that of a clown or magician.
When you enter the elevator, you need to ride it up to the 5th floor and leave the offering just outside the elevator doors and then head back down to the 3rd floor. When you reach the 3rd floor, you then need to exit the elevator and use your phone to call the last person in your call history. The game begins when you call that number.
When the line is picked up, you must say “I want to visit the 6th floor”.
Be warned that at this point you may hear strange noises on the other end, as calling the number at this time and place has put you in contact with a demon. It is possible to gauge whether the demon is happy with your offering or not based off the things he may say, if anything at all. Do not hang up on the demon; you will go back up the elevator when he hangs up on you.
There are three possibilities awaiting you when you go back to the 5th floor to see what has happened to your offering.
If the demon doesn't care for your offering but hasn't been upset by it, you will find it in the same place as you left it outside the elevator. You must then collect the offering, go back down to the first floor and leave the building.
If the demon has been offended by your offering, you will find the offering destroyed in some way. Leave the building immediately if you find this, as it means that the demon is angry with you and will try to kill you if you stay too long.
But if the demon likes your offering, there will be no trace of it when you get back up to the 5th floor. If this has happened, you must close the elevator doors and then hit the button for the 5th floor again. This time, instead of the doors opening again, the elevator will begin to move up, taking you to a 6th floor that shouldn't exist.
The amount of time it will take to reach the 6th floor varies from person to person, but it should not take longer than two minutes.
When you reach the 6th floor, you will find yourself in another world. Accounts of what this other world looks like also varies from person to person. Some have said that the floor they entered was run down and wrecked to pieces in some parts. Others have said that the floor didn't look any different from the other floors. Regardless of the state of the floor, the one thing that is consistent is a giant glowing red cross that can be seen if you look outside. You will see nothing else outside aside from the cross.
It is not recommended that you to try to open any windows or try to climb down the building.
You are free to explore this other world until you are ready to leave. It does not matter how long you stay in the other world. When you want to leave you must simply walk back to the elevator and hit the button for the first floor. It is possible that you may come across the offering that you left for the demon earlier while you explore.
Do not take the offering back; it now belongs to the demon.
Reality on the 6th floor can be distorted and you may find yourself becoming confused. If you find yourself entering into such a state, take out the sentimental item you brought and focus on it. It will keep you from losing yourself and allow you to continue as you explore the other world.
Above all else, while exploring the other world, you must never look behind you. Even though the demon may have liked your offering, he also likes trickery and will try to make you turn around to look at him by making noise or by speaking to you. If you look at the demon you will be unable to leave the 6th floor and he will keep you there forever as he has claimed you as his.
It is not recommended that you speak to the demon even if you don't look at him.
Regardless of the outcome of your offering, when you have returned to the 1st floor you must exit the building and you cannot enter the building again for any reason until the time is 6 AM.
If you have upset the demon with your offering, it is not recommended that you try the game again.
There is no reward for playing this game. There is only the experience of leaving this world and venturing to one beyond our own.
This game is dangerous and could result in the death of the player, so please consider the possible outcomes of playing before you decide to do so.
You finished reading aloud the instructions displayed on the sketchy-looking site and looked to your friend Farah, who had her hands clasped together as she looked hopefully at you and the rest of your group who had gathered in her apartment.
“Well?” she asked after a moment, “what do you think?”
“.... Why does a demon have a phone?” you asked.
“Yeah and what phone company does he use?” Cliff asked after you, “or do demons have their own phone companies.”
“You're missing the point!” Farah exclaimed.
“And the point is....?”
“We need to try this!”
There was a collective groan throughout the apartment. The other one in the group, Carmen, rubbed their forehead as they told Farah “you're our friend and we love you, but I don't think any of us want to repeat that time we tried summoning ghosts in a public bathroom.”
“This is nothing like that!” Farah insisted, “it said that we need a building with five floors and an elevator! I promise, there won't be anything gross!”
“Where do we get a building like that?” Carmen asked.
Farah pointed to Cliff.
“You work security overnight at that one office building, right?”
“Do you seriously think I'm going to risk my job for this?” he asked.
“We won't do anything bad! We'll just play a game and leave some stuff on the top floor. If the demon doesn't like it we'll take it with us. It's literally in the rules that we need to clean up after ourselves.”
Farah stopped herself, but you could tell she wanted to continue about getting a chance to visit another world. She loved the supernatural and those kinds of urban legends, but she never wanted to try these things on her own.
Carmen sighed.
“Is anyone else even remotely interested in trying this?” they asked.
Neither you or Cliff said anything at first, and Farah's face began to fall as no one volunteered. Then, when it looked like Carmen was about to speak again, you tentatively raised your hand.
“It might be fun,” you said. At least in terms of memories of 'dumb shit you did when you were younger'.
Farah beamed while Carmen gave you a look that screamed 'I hate you'.
With you willing to give the game a chance, the other two ended up conceding to do the same, and Cliff had been convinced by Farah to let you all in a week from that day when he worked at that particular building. With his shift being 11 PM to 7 the next morning, there would be plenty of time for you to play the game and then let him get back to work. As long as nothing was messed up by the end of it, there would be no harm.
At first you were rather stumped on what to give the demon as an offering. Farah was the same, but she ended up deciding on a horror anthology book from the 1920s. Carmen just got a shirt they had been wanting since they were certain that this ritual wasn't going to work and they wanted to spend the money on something that was useful to them. Cliff went out of his way to get a particularly creepy clown doll. He claimed that he wasn't annoyed by all of this, but you found yourself questioning that statement when he sent a picture of it through the group text. You had no clue where the fuck he had found something that unsettling.
The night you all had settled on was approaching and you still didn't have an offering. It shouldn't have been that hard, and yet you felt like if there was the chance that you were going to run into some otherworldly creature, you didn't want to half-ass it and make it upset. If the supernatural was real it seemed better to try and keep it on your side.
You found yourself browsing a few online forums where people were discussing the game. Unsurprisingly, most said that the ritual didn't work, and the few that claimed that it did had written some uninspired stories about how the demon had told them how they were going to die or when the world was going to end, with at least one mentioning the coming of the Antichrist. When you scrolled down to the end of the page you were pretty bored of all of the comments you read and you were about to exit the page when one particular comment caught your eye:
the demon likes bats
It was buried beneath the comments of others, and nobody had interacted with it. Common sense would tell you that this was just more bullshit, but it just seemed like such a random thing to make up. Nowhere in the instructions had it mentioned bats, and no one else on the forums had said anything about it either. The user who had posted it hadn't interacted with anything else and seemingly just came on to put out that little tidbit. For that reason, you found yourself wondering if their ritual had been successful.
You leaned back in your chair while you considered the information.
Bats, huh?
And then by complete chance the next day, when you were in the mall trying to find something because it the date you'd set for the game was only hours away and you still had nothing, you spotted something through the window of a toy store: a pink stuffed bat plush.
It was rather overpriced, but if that comment was correct, then it should be worth it. If not, at least you got something cute out of it.
Surprisingly it was Carmen and Farah that had been less than impressed by what you had brought.
“I didn't realize you wanted to offend the demon too,” Farah commented bitterly.
“Maybe the demon likes pink,” you responded as you shrugged.
Nothing more was said about it as Cliff opened the front door of the building. In exchange for doing this, he made the rest of you go about the building to turn off all any lights that had been left on which you all grumbled about but agreed was fair enough. By the time you were finished scouring the building, it was 3:13 in the morning.
It had been agreed that Farah would go first, and the rest of you waited in a darker spot of the parking lot while she went in, watching the building to see if you could spot her movements through the windows. You had pulled out your phone, as you were the last person she had called. It would probably be proven pretty fast if this was real or not if she called you and it went through to you, though Carmen had said that they felt it was likely that Farah would probably not call and just say that she had.
You checked to make sure the sentimental object you had brought was in your pocket: a small, stuffed bear keychain that you had gotten as a present from a childhood friend. It was special to you, but you didn't feel like you'd be absolutely devastated if anything happened to it.
Farah came out a few minutes later, carrying her book and looking disappointed.
“It didn't work,” she said as she sighed.
“Did you call?” you asked.
“Yes,” she answered, somewhat indignant. To prove that she had, she pulled out her phone and opened up her call history. It listed her last call as being made to you only a few minutes ago. When you opened up your own call history, it showed that she had called you over an hour ago.
….. Okay. That was weird.
Carmen went next, and it was the same story with them, as they came out a little bit later still holding their shirt. Unlike Farah, they didn't seem too upset.
Cliff went after, holding that creepy clown doll and waving it around a bit as he walked to the elevator.
It was quiet again after that. You, Carmen and Farah waited patiently in the parking lot while the electric lampposts around you hummed. Cliff had been talking earlier so you hadn't noticed it, but it seemed eerily quiet outside. Usually there were bugs or other forms of wildlife at night that would keep things from being silent, but right now there was nothing; only the humming electricity of the lot and the occasional comment from Carmen.
Farah seemed anxious as she looked at the building, her hands playing with the charm on her phone while she waited for any sign of Cliff. The thing with the phone history seemed to convince her this was for real and she seemed nervous about Cliff's offering. Carmen didn't appear to be the same way and seemed more impatient, who'd begun to tap their foot as they waited.
“Did you hear anything when you called?” you asked the both of them. They looked at you, and both shook their heads.
“It was quiet when I called,” Farah said.
“Same here,” said Carmen. Farah smiled at that.
“That means that it's real, right?” she asked.
“Sure.”
Carmen wasn't the best person to be around when they were tired and cranky, and you could see that Farah wasn't trying to take it personally. But looking back to Carmen, you noticed a slight furrow to their brow, and the impatient tapping seemed to have increased. At first glance you would have assumed that they were just really done with this whole thing, but as you kept looking, it seemed less like they were annoyed and more more like they were apprehensive.
“Cliff's taking a while,” they commented.
It was taking Cliff longer than the two of them, you realized, and you were about to try and crack a joke about him making it to the sixth floor when you saw the elevator doors in the lobby slide open, followed by Cliff walking out.
More like storming out, actually.
“What the hell?!” he exclaimed as he shoved open the main doors.
“Don't shout!” Carmen responded, “this is your job that we're not supposed to be doing this at, remember? What're you going to do if someone calls the police on us?”
Cliff ignored them, looking to Farah as he continued “are you serious? You want this stupid thing to be real that badly?!”
He was holding something that he then thrust in front of Farah's face. It was the clown doll that he'd brought.
Or at least, what was left of it.
It looked like it had been stepped on repeatedly, the body broken and the head having been caved in. One of the legs were also missing, you noted.
“You.... You think I did that?” Farah asked.
“Who else!” Cliff yelled.
“I've been here the whole time!” she shrieked back.
“She has,” you added as you felt the need to jump in, “none of us have moved from this spot.”
“Oh fuck off,” he answered, “I needed to return this. What the hell am I supposed to do?”
“Maybe you shouldn't have gone out of your way to be an asshole,” Farah spat back.
It quickly devolved into an argument between the two, with Carmen pulling you back when you tried to jump in again. It made sense why Cliff was upset, but Farah hadn't done anything.
“.... Should I not go?” you whispered to Carmen after a bit.
“No!” Cliff exclaimed, this time at you, “you should go! Do this stupid thing, and then let me get back to my work!”
“You're not allowed to go back in for the rest of the night,” Farah pointed out.
By that point Cliff was done, and he stormed off to another area in the lot. Carmen motioned for you to go while Farah quietly steamed. It wasn't the first time those two had fought, but the arguments seemed to be getting nastier every time they happened. Best to get this over with so they could be separated and have the time to cool down.
You walked through the darkened lobby of the empty office building, your path illuminated only by the streetlights outside. There was something about darkness and artificial light that somehow made it feel more foreboding, more dangerous. Even though you were an adult there were still thoughts that ran about in your head of creatures that you couldn't see awaiting you in the dark, and those thoughts made you tense a bit. It was such an irrational fear, but one your brain wouldn't let go of. The argument between your friends had only put you more on edge as well.
The elevator doors slid open, the bright blinding lights hurting your eyes for a second before they adjusted to them, and you stepped in the car, pushing the button for the fifth floor.
Fifth floor, leave the offering, then down to third.
There were some bits of Cliff's creepy clown doll that were in front of the elevator when you reached the top floor. It vaguely occurred to you that the instructions said to leave immediately if the offering had been destroyed, but it seemed like Cliff had tried to clean up some. Though that made sense, since he didn't want to leave a mess behind after his shift.
You pushed away some of the leftover bits with your shoe, and carefully placed the bat plush laying on its back in front of the doors.
Down to the third floor, then.
You checked again to make sure that the bear keychain was still in your pocket during the ride down, stepping out when the doors opened after you confirmed that it was.
Now to make the call....
There hadn't been anything saying you needed to wait until the doors closed to begin, but you waited anyway. When the double doors slid shut behind you, you hit the button on your screen to call Farah, the last person on your call history.
It rang twice before the call was picked up. Just as Farah and Carmen had said, it was silent on the other side. You cleared your throat before saying the words that had been instructed.
“I want to visit the sixth floor. Please.”
There was nothing that said you needed to be polite, but you figured it couldn't hurt.
You still didn't hear anything from the other end, and that silence continued for several more seconds. You held the phone close to your ear, straining to hear anything, any sort of indication that someone was on the other line. The “demon” was supposed to hang up first, you remembered, so you were stuck until something happened.
“.... That's actually cute.”
The male voice you heard on the other end was unexpected, but you didn't get a chance to say anything back before the phone call ended.
You stood very still for a few moments.
That.... That hadn't been any of the others who were still outside. Unless they had gone so far as to hide someone out there and have them answer the phone when you called Farah and all of this was just an elaborate prank. But none of them were really the kind of people to do things like that.
Remembering the instructions from the site, you turned back to the elevator and got on when the doors opened, pushing the button for fifth floor once again.
If the demon likes your offering, there will be no trace of it when you get back up to the 5th floor
The ding of the elevator signaled that you were once again at the top floor of the building, and when the doors slid back open and you looked to the spot where you'd left the bat, you found.... Nothing.
That space you had cleared from the broken bits of that doll was empty, the white tiled floor shining in the light that came from the elevator.
….. If this was all just a prank by your friends, you weren't sure if you'd be able to trust them after this.
The doors closed once again, and you took a deep breath before you pushed the fifth floor button.
The elevator began to move up.
There wasn't a sixth floor; you'd double checked that the building only went as high as five.
You told yourself to wait until the doors opened before you jumped to conclusions. You'd need to see this “other world” before you could say for certain that all of this was real.
The website said that it could take up to two minutes, but mere seconds later did the doors slide back open.
Everything looked normal. Just another floor of an office building.
Or it would have looked normal, had it not been for the fact that everything was bathed in a red glow that came from the outside.
Clutching your phone in one hand and the keychain in the other, you took a small, tentative step out of the car, looking to either side of you.
The hallways were empty. Nothing jumped out at you.
Slowly, you walked over to a window.
In the distance stood a glowing red cross.
…. This was real.
This was actually real.
It was almost too much to process for your shock-addled brain, and you had to wonder if anyone else who had been successful had the same reaction as you, to just stare dumbly at the scene before you.
It then occurred to you to get proof for when you went back.
You pulled up the camera on your phone. Or you tried to at least. Of all the times for your phone to act up, it needed to be when you needed to get a picture so people would believe you. The app kept taking forever to pull up before it would close and you repeatedly tapped on the screen as you tried to make it work. Somehow you managed to snap a few pictures of the cross before the camera closed again and you weren't able to open it back up. The lighting and your uncooperative phone made the pictures appear quite blurry, but one would be able to tell what they were looking at. No doubt some people would claim that it was fake, but it was enough to satisfy you.
You checked the time, finding it to be 3:30, if the phone was to be trusted. You wished you had checked before you came up here, but it was a bit too late for that now.
You stepped away from the window and went down one of the halls, looking all around before you remembered that the site said that you shouldn't look behind you. Or was that only when you heard the demon? Regardless, you kept glances behind yourself to a minimum as you made your way through the floor.
Aside from the red light that covered everything, it looked like a normal office floor, filled with different offices and supply closets and nothing that was particularly interesting to you. The one strange thing was that the red cross outside seemed to move along with you, as when you would move to a different room you would still be able to see it clearly outside. You went back to the windows a few times and tried to see if there was anything else outside, but all you found was an endless darkness with no signs of any kind of life or structure. Unsurprisingly there was also no sign of your friends down below, though it would have been hard to see where they were standing outside anyway given the angle.
The red light made you slightly sick after a while, and you tried opening up the flashlight option on your phone. But it refused to turn on. In fact, nothing on your phone was working now, and when you looked at the clock, the time was still 3:30.
Either time was being distorted or your phone wasn't able to function properly. Given how your phone was acting earlier the latter would seem to be the most likely option, but you also weren't sure what the rules of this place were. There was nothing that said that this world was bound to time in the way yours was.
The website had said that you could stay up here for as long as you wanted, right?
You began to see things out of the corner of your eye, little bits of movement in the darkness that dared you to look at them. You did a few times, mentally slapping yourself as you remembered what the instructions had said as you were now desperately trying to remember everything that had been written so you knew what you could and couldn't do. It was amazing and terrifying at the same time as you recalled what the site had said about possibly dying to this game, and at one point you felt so overwhelmed that you thought you were going to throw up. You managed to keep it down, but after that you decided that it was time to leave.
When you started to head back to the elevator was when you felt a headache coming on. It was mild at first, but when you went further along your route to the exit it started to hurt more, turning into a stabbing pain that jammed into your skull.
Had the website mentioned this? You couldn't be sure. Where were you even going again?
You stopped at an open door, leaning against the open door frame to rest. There was movement from inside the room, and without thinking you looked over to it.
The bat you had left on the fifth floor sat in the room in front of a whiteboard. A whiteboard that had been absolutely covered in drawn on hearts and your name repeated over and over.
…. The website hadn't mentioned that.
“Do you think it's a good place for him?”
The voice you heard came from a few feet behind you. The same voice you had heard over the phone.
You needed to get out. Now.
You brushed your hand against your pocket as you tried to stand up straight again, still fighting the pain of the headache when you remembered the little bear keychain.
It will keep you from losing yourself
With that thought in mind you pulled it out and focused on it, and the pain seemed to lessen by a good amount.
“You've got a thing for cute stuff, don't you?”
The voice came from directly behind you this time, like whoever was speaking was staring down over your shoulder as they were practically on top of you.
Don't look don't look don't look
You pushed off of the door frame, the keychain still in hand as you power-walked back down the hall. The headache was still there a little bit but it was nowhere near as debilitating as it had been before.
The voice whined from behind you.
“You're leaving already? You just got here.”
Don't speak. Don't look.
It was following you. You could hear the footsteps that trailed after yours, keeping up with your pace and almost being purposefully loud. Sudden noises accompanied the footsteps, making you jump and urging you to turn around. It was a natural thing to react to sudden sounds like that and you needed to catch yourself a few times from looking behind.
It was trying to keep you here and you didn't want to stay to find out why that was.
You turned several corners and walked down many halls, and the elevator wasn't anywhere in sight. That wasn't right. You had made a mental note of where the location of the elevator approximately was. As much as the headache was still messing with you, you should still be able to make it back. You knew where it was, goddammit.
…. Was it just you, or were these hallways getting longer?
A chuckle came from behind you.
“You didn't think I'd let you go that easy, did you?”
You started to run.
You weren't sure how long you continued like that – time didn't seem to be a thing up here. Around you the halls extended, stretching out and prolonging your time in this hell as you turned corner after corner and you still couldn't find the fucking elevator. The temptation was there to look behind and see how long the halls had become, but the laughter that followed you kept your eyes straight ahead.
Turning another corner, the doors to the elevator came in sight, and you let out a gasp of relief as you ran faster. Just a little bit more and then you'd be free.
…. The elevator seemed to be was moving away from you, messing with you just as the halls had done before.
You could hear him breathing directly in your ear as you ran. Still trying to freak you out, still trying to make you turn around. He hadn't touched you at all, though, and you wondered if there were rules for him that prevented him from doing so.
The attempts to get you to look back at him seemed to be getting desperate. If this thing was getting to a point where even he was desperate, you didn't want to know what the hell he'd do to you if you made the mistake of turning around.
Despite it all the elevator was getting closer. Escape was literally in your grasp-
And then something in the floor shifted that caused your knee to buckle and you were sent flying face down on the flat white tile.
The phone and keychain went flying out of your hands and there was blood in your mouth as you bit your lip. Your head ached again, though you weren't sure if it was because of him or because you'd just landed on the solid floor.
You lay there for a few moments, catching your breath as you tried to compose yourself.
You then became aware of the presence that was standing over you. He was quiet now, but you could feel his eyes burning holes into your back, as if trying to will you to look at him.
Pushing yourself up on shaky arms, you began to crawl forward, your hands searching for the phone and keychain that had gone flying and had vanished into the darkness, the light from outside now much duller than it had been when you'd first arrived.
Don't look don't look don't look
He can't touch you
He can't force you to look back at him
Just keep facing forward and-
A horrifically loud shrieking noise sounded through the hall. It was the loudest thing you had ever heard in your life, the noise so great that you felt the floor vibrating, and your hands immediately went to cover your ears to protect your hearing as best you could.
Don't you dare fucking look back
With your hands still over your ears, you crawled forward on your knees. It was slow and it had gotten so dark that you couldn't see the elevator anymore, but it was still progress. When your knee brushed against your phone you ignored it. Who gave a fuck about proof anymore? You just wanted to get out.
But you were still trying to keep a lookout for the keychain. It had helped before; if you could find it, it would probably make getting out easier.
You put out one hand on the floor as you blindly searched for your sentimental item, your eyes scrunching up in pain as the horrible sound continued.
For a split second your fingers brushed up against something soft.
You grabbed it.
Immediately after the shrieking noise stopped.
For just a moment, there was relief, even though you still had that noise ringing in your ears. But it took only another moment for you to realize that something was wrong.
You hadn't grabbed that bear keychain. It was larger and heavier.
Opening your eyes, you found that you were holding that fucking bat plush.
“Ah. You messed up.”
A hand reached from behind you and grabbed the plush out of your grip. A different hand was placed on your shoulder and you were spun around on the floor.
A fair-skinned man with what looked to be blonde hair stared down at you, one hand still on your shoulder as he waved the bat in front of you.
“You're not supposed to take this back, remember?” he asked as he smiled at you.
“No.... I didn't...” you trailed off.
“But you did, though! You grabbed and picked it up,” he said.
That wasn't possible. You had left that thing behind in that room that felt so far away now. But as you glanced to the side you saw that, to your horror, you were sitting next to that room again, the hearts still visible on the whiteboard. You were barely able to note that it had gotten brighter and that somehow the red lighting seemed less harsh before he was talking to you again.
“So you lost and now you don't get to go back,” he told you.
“No.... You cheated.”
It felt so juvenile to say that out loud, but it was all that could come out of you in your current state.
Strangely though, he didn't deny it.
“Can you blame me?” he asked, “I've never gotten a visitor as charming as yourself. When I heard you on the phone and saw what you left me, I just needed to keep you.”
He looked at the bat plush again and smiled at it as he sat down in front of you.
“Did you just pick this at random, or was it something else?”
You struggled to comprehend the question, and it took you a bit before you were able to blurt out “someone else said you liked bats.”
“So you mean you went to the trouble of looking up what things I liked? That's adorable. I love it!” he exclaimed.
You tried to subtly scoot away from him as he sat in front of you but you were noticed instantly.
“Where do you think you're going?” he asked. The look he gave you was so innocent.
“I-I need to go home. I want to go home,” you insisted.
“That's not an option, remember?” he asked, waving the bat around again.
You shook your head.
“You cheated. I should be allowed to leave because you did that.”
He laughed.
“There's no rule against cheating. As long as I didn't touch you it was fine. Don't be a sore loser.”
“Fuck you.”
You spat out those words in a bout of frustration, trying your best to sound strong, but it probably just made you seem more pathetic.
He only hummed at that, just staring at you for a moment.
It had been getting steadily brighter, the red going away with every passing second and you were able to make out different colors. The purple and teal on his clothes, the shade of blonde his hair was and the blue of his eyes were visible to you for a few moments.
He set the bat plush to the side, and the world began to darken again as red and black took over.
“That's okay,” he said, more to himself than to you, “you're scared and that kind of reaction is normal, so I'm not too mad.”
It was getting harder to see him, but you could see movement about him, things about his body changing. Horns that slowly curled out from his forehead. The tips of his fingers that darkened around long claws that took the place of his fingernails. Large, bat-like wings that unfolded from behind him and spread themselves.
You caught a glimpse of his teeth in the low light, and they looked sharper than they had before.
Panic shot through you as you began to scramble away from him, but your escape attempt was short-lived as something wrapped itself around your legs and pulled you back towards him.
A tail? Oh God that was a tail.
He was on top of you, and he caged you in his arms as he leaned down to whisper in your ear “don't worry, I'll go easy on you this time.”
You tried to push him away, but he ignored it.
“Oh! Before I forget, I should introduce myself shouldn't I? I'm Shalnark. Nice to meet you.”
With that, his lips claimed yours in a searing kiss.
Your friends had been waiting a while.
Farah and Carmen stayed where they had been directly next to the building while Cliff hadn't moved from where he had stormed off to. Farah had been getting upset as she had become convinced that you were being an ass to her as well with how long you were taking. It was all Carmen could do to try and keep her calm.
Because of his distance away and how distracted they were, neither of them noticed the state Cliff was in.
They only noticed when he began to violently cough.
With Farah still slightly bitter from their earlier argument, Carmen was the one to check on him, asking if he was alright as they walked up to him.
Cliff gave no answer as he had begun to cough up blood.
Carmen's hands fumbled when they pulled out their phone to call emergency services, and they yelled at Farah to go inside and get you. The sight of the blood Cliff was coughing up had Farah sprinting towards the building, throwing the front doors open as she made a beeline for the elevator.
Carmen didn't notice it at first when Farah fell to the floor. Only when the ambulance had been confirmed and they looked back to the building to see if the two of you were coming out did they see her body lying limply on the floor.
Ambulances and cop cars arrived eventually, and both Cliff and Farah were declared dead at the scene. The autopsy reports later would declare that they had been poisoned. A thorough search of the building would find no source of where the poison had come from.
Nor did they find anything from you.
Carmen had told them that you were in there, but when they searched they found no trace of you. No personal belongings and nothing to even indicate that you had entered the building. When the search for you grew beyond the confines of the office building, there was still no trace of you. You simply vanished into thin air.
The case would puzzle investigators before they would ultimately put it aside for other cases that needed their attention. It would only gain some traction online when the files were released to the public and certain parties saw that you and your friends had been playing the Sixth Floor Game. For some people it added weight to their beliefs that the game was real and needed to be avoided. For others it was just a coincidence.
Regardless of what they thought, you remained a missing person that would never be seen again, forever immortalized by your unexplained disappearance and an urban legend.
