I am hereby officially announcing my plans to draw a series of fanart in which T’Pol has made patchwork quilts for the rest of the crew :>

I have a rough idea of what she would give to each person:

Phlox

Various animals, including Earth animals, alien species from in-universe, and ones I make up

Earth ones would include mola mola, giraffes, sea cucumber, maybe slime moulds?

I can’t think of any animals mentioned in-universe right now, but I’d go over memory alpha

Maybe that slug creature?

Just seems fun to think about making complex animal shapes and patterns out of fabric! Mola mola quilt block has been on my mind for a couple of weeks now

Hoshi

IPA chart

The vowels are a trapezium shape in the centre (as on the chart)

The consonants are a wide border around them making up the rest of the space

In Enterprise era, with alien languages they probably need more than the IPA chart we have right now, but I’m going with the standard chart of present-day Earth because that’s too complicated. Maybe I’ll throw some extended IPA symbols in there just for fun

Could have some subtle pride flag colours in this, but I think I’d mainly choose colours for contrast and readability

Could also just be various patchwork with Vulcan language embroidered as the quilting over it

I’m not sure whether she’d just put pictures of weapons on this one?

Maybe the colours could be subtle NB pride (inspired by Scottie)

Much like that episode with his birthday, I am faced with the fact that I have no idea what Malcolm likes

I’m a tripol shipper so I think he’d be able to appreciate something from her culture like IDIC

Maybe a depiction of a landscape

I think lots of individual squares with fun pictures and patterns would be his kind of thing

I haven’t made up my mind on all of these – I’d appreciate input on any of them :) It will take me A While to do all of these so any suggestions are welcome whenever!

They also won’t all necessarily be standard-sized blankets laid out flat – maybe at least one of these will be a quilted jacket, and I’d like to draw one of the characters wrapped up cosy in their blanket. Any rectangular one could just be displayed as a wall hanging as well!

WIP Duke of Hell Crowley GO fic!

Crowley held up the cricket bat in line with his eyes, inspecting it for any imperfections. He ran his fingers along the varnished wood of the curved side. With only just a snap of his fingers the wood became a dense heavy metal. He readjusted his grip on the handle and gave it a good couple swings before jostling it between his hands. Once it felt right he gripped it in both. It would do. He lifted it high in the sky before swinging it in a beautiful arc, slamming the end straight into a car window. The glass scattered everywhere. Onto the interior of the vehicle, all over the street, and one piece even bounced off of Crowley's sunglasses. He walked forward and with another swing he hit the windows of another car. Onward he went down the street. Swinging, and swinging, and swinging. Car after car after car. Once done with one side of the road, he went alongside the other, repeating the carnage. Afterwards he stood in the middle of the street admiring his work. A snap of fingers and he cut the electricity in the area as well. With the area dark, the moon was able to shine brightly down upon the street. It caught on all the glass shards littered about. And to Crowley it was beautiful, the glass shined like the stars in the sky. Stars that were growing fainter with each passing night.

I'm hoping to get this to a point where I feel comfortable posting at least the first chapter.

Pictured: Loop being extremely normal as they lay in their shallow (homemade) grave as they meditate on existence and also if they have annoyed the Researcher enough THIS time for her to murder them and bury them alive.

(Spoilers - they did not annoy her even CLOSE to that much.)

And there is the required reverse image of Odile arriving - she's had a LONG day (i.e. previous loop), and due to this it will take ten minutes before she even acknowledges the shallow grave Loop is laying in, as she was distracted complaining about what Siffrin just did to annoy her.

I'd say there's context for all of that, because like...there IS context? Here's the link to the series of fics that HAS that context even! But also...even with context...can't say that it's going to make any of this less weird.

Mostly Odile is looping because due to Loop's wish the universe got rewritten to make Siffrin's repression and emotional issues (the ones bad enough to get him stuck in a time loop in the game) 'someone else's' problem...or at least that's Loop's best theory atm!

Regardless, context or not, I'm quite happy with how the pics came out, and figured I might as well post them here too.
