Stan Pines: A Masterclass in Character Writing and Symbolism AKA Stan is Godly, Literally (GF Writing Analysis Pt. 5)
If you're interested in reading a similar writing analysis on Ford Pines, please visit this page.
I've wanted to write a post on Stan for a long time, because I'm going to make a bold claim: he is THE best written character in Gravity Falls. I literally have never been able to find a flaw with his writing, and the reason? Not only does he have the markers of quality I mentioned in my post about Ford's writing (a want, need, character arc, realistic flaws), but...
I would also argue he is THE main protagonist and hero of Gravity Falls if I had to pin it down to just one, and his character arc matches the external conflict, that being Bill Cipher and the theme of growing up vs. staying in childhood and ego vs. selflessness, in ways that are just - and I'm not exaggerating - poetic. And the best part is, he had a lot more time and attention in the spotlight in the show than Ford, so everything I mentioned in the other post that was good about Ford's writing, ramp that up x100 for Stan.
His character also touches on multiple other fantastic themes: breaking generational trauma, healing broken familial relationships that seem unfixable, redemption, the misunderstanding of the family "fuckup" (although Stan is not that in the least, but that's part of his character arc), positive masculinity, true brotherhood, self-love, self-identity, and probably a million others I'm missing and will find out even just as I write this.
As for the godly part, well... you'll just have to read to the end. And no, I'm not kidding or exaggerating, either.
Okay, okay, gushing aside, let's get to the analysis. I'm not sure this will be as neatly structured as Ford's was, but there are just so many damn good things about Stan's writing that it's hard to stick to just one point. Let us begin.
Stan's Backstory: I Am Not Ford and That's Bad + Protecting/Providing for Family > Everything Else
So as I discussed in my post about Ford linked above, much of Stan's childhood revolved around Ford. His entire existence as a child was summed up by one question: how do I compare to Ford? This is especially emphasized in how their father, Filbrick, treated them. One of the end credits ciphers in the show reads as follows:
"A STUBBORN TOUGH NEW JERSEY NATIVE, FILBRICK WASNāT TOO CREATIVE, HAVING TWINS WAS NOT HIS PLAN, SO HE JUST SHRUGGED AND NAMED BOTH STAN."
Haha, very funny. But OUCH. Imagine knowing that your whole name is your name, was because your father only expected one son and was too lazy to come up with anything else. So literally, Stan doesn't even have his own name - his own identity - technically. Stan also was apparently the second twin born, so came in "second" even from birth, and being Ford's (either identical or very similar fraternal) twin, well... it's hard for someone to untie their identity from their brother's with those factors surrounding them as a kid.
There are many other factors that illustrate my point (Ford got Filbrick's name as his middle name, the way Filbrick literally put Stan on the lawn for sale as a kid for failing a test, etc). All in all, Ford receives their father's love, Stan does not, although we could argue that this isn't that great for Ford, not really, as I did in my post on his writing. Because it's a love that comes with a, "I'd also like to use you." attached (just like Bill, gee).
All in all, it's very obvious from all these context clues that Ford was the beloved one, and Stan was the unexpected one, from birth to the end of Gravity Falls, where he uses that to his advantage - albeit in a different context - to defeat Bill Cipher.
Worse yet, Stan happened to have a twin that was extremely smart and talented in a way that was easily noticed. Ford is a Golden Child, as I described in his own writing analysis post, and siblings of the golden child like Stan? Well... the other sibling(s) are often the Scapegoat. As the source in the last sentence states, the Scapegoat is "often blamed for family mistakes, discarded, neglected, and has been gaslighted into believing it was their fault. The scapegoated child is usually assigned at a young age and often carries this role through to adulthood and never loses the unfortunate title.". This can highly affect the Scapegoat's self-esteem, even into adulthood.
This page also covers the Golden Child vs. Scapegoat dynamic. Pay attention to these quotes from this source:
"You are the one the parent will come after when things are going wrong."
"You are subjected to their emotional and verbal abuse the most."
"You may even feel like you need to fix your broken family."
Also, take into account these panels from the comic, Lost Legends, released after Gravity Falls ended:
Yikes. A child doesn't say these things unless a parent has taught them that everything they do is wrong and they are lesser than their sibling. This kid's noticed how Filbrick looks with pride at Ford, but not him. And here's the thing: the item Stan stole in this comic that made Filbrick mad? Stan did it to clean it to make his father proud. Sound familiar? In the events of Gravity Falls, Stan works on the portal for thirty years and gets Ford back, and he gets... yelled at for it. Stan always has good intentions. Although, Ford has a point in the above comic panel: Stan does take shortcuts that get him into trouble. He did almost get jailed by the US government and end the universe to save Ford.
But this is a consistent theme with Stan's character throughout the show. Even WE as the audience first see Stan the way his family did - a conniving scoundrel and money-grubbing criminal - but through the events of the show, just as Stan's family starts to realize it, even when Stan does things that seem bad, like stealing radioactive waste, working on a portal described as a potential cause of the end of the world, has a ton of different identities, etc... we find out Stan had good intentions all along.
Even Stan's greediness? That need for money? That also stemmed from the same good intentions, because how ELSE was he going to afford Ford's mortgage to keep the Shack in order to keep working on bringing him home? It was also likely something ingrained into him from when he was kicked out. Because Filbrick told him, basically, until you make us the money that Ford losing his chance at West Coast Tech cost us, GTFO. Literally. :'(
So Stan... really IS not what he seems. He seems like a fuckup, a criminal, a liar, and a greedy conman. But really... he's a family defender, protector, and supporter. Want to have your mind blown? Intentional or not, let's look at the very first scene we see Stan in in the series:
"Oh look, I'm a monster!"
"Just kidding, I'm not. I'm someone else under what looks like a monster."
Yes. Stan's whole character arc is foreshadowed in like... three seconds in the first episode. The very first time we see him. Not just his arc, but also his role as someone that seems deceptively evil but is actually good. And not just the arc that Ford and Dipper take from distrusting Stan to finally understanding his good intentions, but also the realization WE as viewers have about Stan as we follow the story. Additionally - which we'll get into later - it's symbolic of Stan's internal character arc he takes across the series of realizing he himself isn't the monster that his father planted in his mind as a child, but a good person worthy of love.
All of that... in a few seconds of animation. If that wasn't intentional, then DAMN did the writing gods smile on the Gravity Falls team the day they planned this scene. Back to the point about who Stan really is: the family "fuckup" (not really, but we'll get to that later), and a family defender and protector. This is the true core of Stan's character throughout the whole series. Not only was he Ford's defender as a child, protecting him from bullies, but you know those scenes the fandom universally agrees on were Stan at his most badass? Ahem...
"Everything I've worked for, everything I care about, it's all for this family!"
"Turn around and look at me, you one-eyed demon! You're a real wise-guy, but you made one fatal mistake: you messed with my family."
Yeah. Look at what Stan is doing in EVERY single one of these scenes: protecting his family. And as bad as Filbrick was, just like I explained in the post I made about Ford's writing... Filbrick also passed down some things to Stan that make him the hero he is. And it's also stuff that Stan passes down to Dipper:
Yeah, it kinda sucked for Dipper at the time. Was it a perfect way of teaching a child to be tough? Er, no, although another mark of a well-written character is that they can make mistakes and have flaws; Stan's not perfect. And the fandom has criticized the way Stan passed down this lesson to Dipper, because it can be considered very similar to the way Filbrick passed it down to Stan. But look what it did: when the world fights and threatens his family, just like Stan, Dipper fights back. With punches, too:
So... to summarize this first part: Stan was taught from childhood "I'm not Ford, and that's bad. I am a monster unworthy of love that always messes up.", and his role is a family protector, which started with how he protected Ford from bullies as a child. This is the core of his self-identity. So let's get into the writing techniques that make a well-written character that I discussed in Ford's writing analysis post...
Stan's Core Want vs. Need
I'll quote my explanation of want vs. need from my own post on Ford I made about a year ago:
"When I took writing classes in college (and over years of writing in general and drooling over writing advice podcasts and blogs), I found that the best method for me, personally, when it comes to crafting characters is to focus on two major things:
1. Their want.
2. Their need.
On the surface, these look like the same things, but in character writing, they can be vastly different. For example, say that you have a character that greatly desires fame and recognition. They want these things.
But whatās the real reason behind it? Is it because they had a parent that was famous and want to live up to their example? Is it because they want to be adored by people? Is it because they were told theyād never amount to anything by someone and want to prove them wrong?
This real reason behind it all is the core need. Yes, they want fame and recognition, but they need it because, say, they have low self-esteem and need copious amounts of outside validation to boost it.
Tied to this need is usually a backstory reason (sometimes called their wound). Say your hypothetical character was bullied a lot as a child. Or abused by a parent. Etc. Whatever the wound was, it caused a big, painful hole in their heart that they try to fill and fix with their want.
So they go on a journey. The want is often the external journey. The need is often the core journey / character arc. Our example character seeks fame and recognition on an external journey, but deep inside, they realize they need something else, which is to understand that their past trauma/wound doesnāt define them, and fame and recognition will not be the balm they expect it will be. Often, they realize they had what they needed all along. They grow past their flaws associated with their seeking this want through understanding and instead pursuing the need."
I'll summarize Stan's character writing using these concepts right here, like I did for Ford in his analysis post:
āI want to be Ford because I want to be loved like he is, and I want to protect those I care about and do the right thing. But what I need is to realize is that who I am - not Ford, but Stan - was good enough all along, proven by how I've always protected those I care about, and I never NEEDED to be Ford in the first place. This stems from a wound from my childhood where I was a scapegoat child treated like a fuckup who never did anything right and could never measure up to Ford, and was conditioned to think that being like Ford was a ticket to earn familial love. I had what I needed all along: myself, because I am good enough and worthy of love, despite what my father taught me."
Stan's Arc: I Am Not Ford... and That's Okay
AKA Stan's arc is basically: learning to love yourself and be yourself, even when you were conditioned to think you have no value. Don't believe me? Guess what Stan does for thirty years: pretends to be Ford. And he literally does it by pretending to have died. He "kills" Stanley Pines AKA himself in a staged car crash to become Stanford Pines.
And guess how he defeats Bill? By pretending to be Ford. His greatest weakness is actually his strength, and then he flips it: he reveals to Bill that he's not Ford, he's actually Stan. And THAT'S when the antagonist of Gravity Falls is truly defeated - an antagonist that represents stasis, lack of change, and with The Book of Bill's context, an antagonist that never freed himself from his own past - is when Stan learns to accept himself and admit who he really is and learns to let the past go. And it's telling that this is what he says when he does it:
"Heh. Guess I was good for something after all." AKA: "Yeah, fuck what Pa said about me."
There it is. The moment of Stan realizing his father was wrong, and he was wrong for thinking himself a fuckup all those years. And this is the expression he pulls at this moment of realization; at the peak of his character arc, all while burning in flames like a phoenix reborn. It sounds corny when I put it that way, but LITERALLY, all the fire symbolism feels like it wasn't foreshadowing Stan's death, but his rebirth as himself after pretending to be Ford all those years. He's not burning who he is, he's burning away who he thought - who he was told - he was. Funny that it takes place in the mind, huh?
This is the face of a man who is at peace and finally loves himself for the first time in his life. That ain't just his mind burning. That's him punching his demon that's haunted him and his brother their whole lives, protecting his family as always, and, symbolically, punching a demon that represents the show's overall antagonist of the shackles of staying stuck in the past, forgiveness, and the value of moving on. He literally punches the antagonist - staying stuck in the past - to pieces and THAT'S when he wins.
Also, can we talk about how Bill and Filbrick share color schemes, and Filbrick even has a brick-like pattern in his suit (also, I mean... come on, he's got 'brick' in his name)? I'll let you make your own conclusion about what that means for Stan's character arc:
It's also telling that Bill Cipher's backstory is that he burned his home dimension and loved ones - including his family - to ashes. The Axolotl - Gravity Falls' equivalent of basically God, from what I can tell - says himself about Bill in one of the books released outside of the show:
"Saw his own dimension burn. Misses home and can't return. Says he's happy. He's a liar. Blame the arson for the fire."
Bill misses home. He wants the past and to hold onto his family, just like Stan and Mabel do. Isn't it funny how whenever Bill shows up... time stops?
And look what Bill says in Weirdmageddon: "This party never stops! Time is dead and meaning has no meaning!"
Time stopped. He just wants fun. He's almost like a child that never grew up. And... look at what it was that Stan wrecked in A Tale of Two Stans as a teenager:
A perpetual motion machine. That thing that's not supposed to stop, just like time. Stan 'breaking' time by wanting to hold Ford in the past, with him, instead of leaving him to go to college while Stan was stuck in the past/Glass Shard Beach? That's what broke their brotherhood.
But what makes Stan a hero, and Bill a villain, is that he lets go of the past and his childhood. Bill never does. And he's defeated when Stan lets go of the past, something Bill never did. Why? Because he has family to make facing the future easier. He has familial and self love. Bill doesn't, because he killed his own. (Sorry, got off track again, but Stan's arc and story ties so deeply to the other characters' and the main themes that it's hard not to take some detours, because it illustrates just how well-written Stan is. Gravity Falls' story IS his story.).
Wanna know something cute? Wanna know how Stan realized he had worth during that scene after he defeats Bill? Why I'm betting the show runners showed Stan clutching to a picture of Dipper and Mabel as this happens? I'll give you one guess why Dipper and Mabel are so important to Stan, and why he clutches to their photo even as his mind is burning apart in the finale:
They're the first family members since Ford (whose love he'd lost) who loved Stan for who he was, not for who they thought he should have been. Mabel trusting Stan in Not What He Seems is basically the first damn time Stan's heard in thirty plus years from a family member that, "Hey, I trust you have good intentions and aren't just a lying fuckup. You're not a monster. You're not what you seem.".
Also, he's protecting his family. That always makes him happy, too, of course.
Ego Death and the "Stan is Godly" Part
Yep, we're taking this analysis post train all the way to "damn this is deep and PrettyinPwn is likely crazy for noticing it" station. The only reason I'm tacking this part on is that I saw a Q&A with Hirsch recently that sparked my attention. He was on his The Book of Bill tour, and someone asked if there was anyone more powerful than Bill in Gravity Falls lore. Of course, Hirsch said the Axolotl, but what he said about what Bill vs. the Axolotl stands for caught my eye:
The video in question. The question and answer starts around 21:22. The quote I want to point out is, though, is what we learn about these two beings:
Hirsch: "Bill's weaknesses in terms of his overconfidence, his ego, and his lack of ability to focus on one thing at a time are things that a being that has no ego, thinks on a long scale, and does have empathy is actually stronger than him because of those things."
So when we boil the conflict of Bill vs. the Axolotl down to simple terms - what makes evil vs. good in the Gravity Falls universe - is this: ego and selfishness vs. no ego and empathy.
Guess which characters wrestle with these themes? The correct answer is: ALL of them. But especially Stan and Ford. This is really what their conflict is about at the core. They both struggled with ego and selfishness, and that's when - in the story - they lose most. But they win when they choose selflessness and empathy. When they... drum roll, please... partake in ego death.
Well, let's describe an ego death. First, we must define what an ego is (source for all of the following quotes):
Ego: "The ego is a sense of self that you develop at a young age." and, "-relates to yourĀ feelings about your own importance and abilities.".
*cough "I'm the family fuckup and poor man's version of Ford because that's what people taught me to believe in my youth." cough*
And an ego death "-is the (often instantaneous) realization that you are not truly the things you've identified with, and the "ego" or sense of self you've created in your mind is a fabrication. In some instances, it can offer a profoundĀ feeling of peace and connectednessĀ with all that is, as the walls of separation the ego creates come crumbling down."
*cough "I'm not Ford's poor copy, I'm not a fuckup, I have worth, and I realize this in my literal mind as I pull this expression-
-of total peace as the walls of my mind literally BURN around me" cough*
And, "When one comes through on the other side having released all the things they've identified with, with only their true spirit left, Kaiser says, they begin to live from a place of pure love."
*cough "I'll hold a picture of the ones I love and realize self-love as my mind burns around me because this is who I really am: a man who protects and loves my family and my family loves me" cough*
Cheeky asides, well... aside, are you seeing what I'm getting at, folks? Look, I can't prove that Hirsch and crew intended all this, but in my opinion: you wanna know why there are so many gags of Stan or versions of him melting or burning in the show? Why fire is such an important symbol surrounding him? Why there are so many times he's killed his own identity and became a "new" man again and again and again, be it as a young grifter, or as a drifter who became his brother to bring him back again, or as an old man who "killed" his own mind to save the world and his memories returned?
Because it's ego death. The rebirth of true self from a lie you were living. That's literally what Stan's arc is a metaphor for. Even better, he reaches his character arc's zenith when he does this:
That's not an old man punching a stupid little bastard. That's an old man punching what threatens his family, punching his own past, punching his own demons, punching his brother's demon, punching his prior identity, and - given that we know that Bill is a symbol of ego now - punching the personification of literal ego and letting it burn. There are, let's count, seven symbolic meanings in that punch at the very least. Maybe eight if you count that the rightside-up triangle is the alchemical symbol for fire, and by Stan beating it, it's symbolism of his defeating the fire that's eating his memories AKA why he gets his memories back. I could find more, probably.
And yes, the chubby old conman we love so much - and is the opposite of spiritual both in action and in Hirsch's words (he's said Stan is an atheist as an adult) literally has a character arc where he attains spiritual enlightenment that aligns with the god of the Gravity Falls universe - the Axolotl, who has no ego as Hirsch said - hidden under many layers of symbolism. I don't know if Hirsch and the writing crew planned this with Stan, but holy damn... this is what I meant when I said that Stan is the best written character in Gravity Falls, even if this part was unintentional. There are just so many layers of meaning here.
And the best part? Stan was this hero all along. Everything we cheer him on for - be it punching zombies to protect his niblings or spending three decades of his life trying to get his brother back - is when he's being selfless and empathetic. We love Stan as a character because he has a big heart. He's a good person because, as we described above, he is - through beating ego in a universe where its god represents a lack of ego - godly.
No, fangirls, put the sexy Hunkle art down. I mean literally spiritually godly in the Gravity Falls universe, at least in the way good and evil is portrayed in the themes and worldbuilding. No, I'm not exaggerating, either. Let's return to that quote about the Axolotl's powers and why he's stronger than Bill:
"-that a being that has no ego, thinks on a long scale, and does have empathy is actually stronger than him (Bill) because of those things."
Well... guess what Stan does? He loses his ego so hard he regularly kills his own identity multiple times in his life and goes through a symbolic ego death, he thinks on a long scale (thirty years long), and is empathetic and selfless to the point of sacrifice. And the Axolotl in real life lore? Xolotl, the god of Aztec myth? Guess what he's a god of (source):
Why I highlighted "vulture"? Honestly, this is just a neat little thing I wanted to point out, and was a part of a massive theory I was writing about Stan and Bill that sadly never came to fruition (although I may return to it someday), but here's a hint: what was Stan and Ford's school mascot in New Jersey?
I'll let you take away from all the above what you will. Let's just say: there are a LOT of similarities between Stan and the Axolotl and its real life god counterpart, Xolotl. Does that that mean he's literally the Axolotl when I say he's godly in the Gravity Falls setting? Maybe not.
Here's one last odd something that caught my eye. This is also a leftover from that theory I mentioned above, but I'll just... leave this here, because I don't think anyone else has ever pointed it out before and it expands on what I've been talking about:
Stan in the opening. The first time we see this guy, technically. He's sitting in his favorite chair. And as we all know, he turns to look at something. But just where the hell does he turn to look?
Half of you are like, "Well, what? What's he looking at?". There's a blue glow to his right, and you know what that blue glow is? The tank, which happens to have...
Could be a coincidence, maybe unintentional, but it's... kind of odd, not gonna lie. To have a character that embodies the traits of the setting's god look over at the setting's god the first time viewers see him. Just... a bit strange... and Xolotl was also a shapeshifter god, and given that Stan goes through so many identities in his life... and axolotls are able to regenerate limbs and so are a symbol of healing and rebirth like Stan - whose whole story is about healing and having multiple "rebirths" - is...
Anyways, I've gotten far off track mentioning things from that theory just for fun that I never posted. I may still post it, so I won't spoil all of it or list any more of the very odd coincidences between Stan and the Axolotl, but all you need to know from this post is that Stan shares a lot of similarities with his setting's god in symbolism, and embodies the power of the Axolotl AKA godliness in the Gravity Falls universe: no ego, selflessness, and knowing how to play a long game, because those are exactly the traits he uses to defeat Bill, as well as the traits that help him resolve his character arc wound.
So... now what?
I'm not really sure what to put here, to be honest. This post was a lot more meandering than Ford's was, but that's because there are so many different aspects of Stan's writing that are amazing, especially in symbolism. I hope it was coherent and made sense. A part of me was considering leaving out the ego death and Axolotl parts, but I thought it interesting enough to keep in. Let me know your thoughts!

You are right, popularity isn't that important but I'm glad anyway that f/f is the most popular in the CR fandom thanks to Imodna, because it's just nice for once!
You know what's funny is that I suppose I thought of Imodna in passing for this, but it wasn't a significant aspect of my consideration, nor was popularity, and it's depressing that you sent this question because it makes me fear we're stuck.
The ship I had in mind that I like is Dot/Cleo from Unend, which I think is really interesting and am frustrated that whenever it comes up in the Midst server the conversation just goes GOTH GF PINK GF GOTH GF PINK GF GOTH GF PINK GF with no discussion of who they are as people - how Cleo is canonically a nepo baby, but she actually is fantastic at her job of observation because she is warm and kind and genuinely interested in everything around her, and how Dot is hiding absolute terror and misery about everything but is also competent and helpful, and trying to shove them into aesthetic categories ignores all that.
The ship I had in mind I didn't like and which really set it off is that Neve/Bellara from DATV is pretty transparently an attempt to get Neve away from Lucanis, even though they'd both make each other miserable - ie, they're putting forth a Grumpy One Soft For Sunshine One ship to get rid of the women to make way for a ship that includes a man (regardless of what gender you're playing Rook, Lucanis is a man) and I realized that it was in many ways stunningly similar in tenor to Beau and Jester, or Vex and Keyleth, which were both ships that were popular among F/F shippers, and what does that say? I'm saddened by the fact that the ships I'm told by fandoms are beautiful and meaningful and at times harassed for saying aren't that great are, in the end, almost identical in structure to the ships people throw out to push the women of the story out of the way of an M/M or M/F ship. Like, doesn't that suck? Don't you want to do better? Isn't it pretty fucking miserable that any attempt to talk about treating female characters as complex and existing in canon in the work and actually being people with PREFERENCES and not some malleable nothing you can throw at anything to get the ship you want is met with passive aggression and petty popularity contests? Doesn't it make you furious, if you are a woman, that even in fiction - even in fantasy heroic fiction where women can save the world and break reality - everyone's first instinct towards female characters is to be like "lmao no you are not the person you say you are and want to be, you're the person I want you to be for my convenience"? Don't you want to stab the next person who decides that it's more important to climb to the top of the list on ao3 by sacrificing everything complex and thorny and difficult and interesting for a bigger number of fics that could be about literally any two people because there's nothing about the women they're about in them?
Like, really, what does it say that when I say "I feel like fandoms treat F/F as an afterthought and as between two entities that are less than people" multiple people decided the response was "ACTUALLY, some M/M ships are treated badly too? sounds like you hate women? here's a ship I know you openly think is bad and I'm going to send it?" I think of you, anon, in your passive-aggression here, the way I think of tradwifes. I'm not mad, I'm just sad you've gotten trapped in this mentality and this life of serving some goal that doesn't let women be people, and I hope you break free; but I must admit I'd do pretty much anything not to become like you.

What's the rest of Miffys party like?
ohhhh i'm so glad you asked TT__TT yay i have so many images to answer this with. ok. the party are called The Whorlpool, and from left to right in the pic above, the (original*) party consists of: Reno Kaseno, a Lalafell Gunbreaker; Purpetua Deutros, a Miqo'te Arcanist; Miffy, a Viera Black Mage; and Wandering Anchor (aka Anka), a Roegadyn Dragoon/Paladin.
*i say original because they have since inducted a DMNPC into their party: Cardamum Sartorius, an Au'ra Red Mage. she's the daughter of the BBEG! more on her later. also Andymion kind of counts too
Reno Kaseno is the character of my dear friend @doppelgender! Reno is a gambling man from the city of Treno who loves a good card game and hates owing people money. Reno is pragmatic, funny, and easily the heart of the group. he's deeply charismatic and a fantastic liar when he needs to be. Reno's quick thinking and excellent charisma have saved the party's ass on multiple occasions.
Miffy relates to Reno the most out of anyone in the group; they both have people in their life who they feel as though they have allowed to come to great harm as a direct result of their own actions, and their interactions with that person are deeply infected with that guilt. also they're the two best dressers in the group (Anka and Purpetua only have drip because they let Miffy dress them).
Reno's greatest priorities are his friends, his money, and the opinions of others. he has little desire for power and little love for his home.
Purpetua Deutros is played by my lovely gf @purpearls! she is from the spiritual apex of Oaxia, the holy city of Ennewhorl. she is also the spiritual center of the party, and the one with the closest connection to Leviathan (the major deity of this shard).
Purpetua used to be a medic for the Church of the Broken Wave, but used magic to heal a fellow soldier once which was a grave sin in the eyes of the Church. she deserted shortly thereafter and has been feeling like she is trying to atone for her time with the Church since then.
she is easily the most collected member of the party and frequently has to be the voice of reason when the others have terrible or dangerous ideas. though sometimes she has incredibly terrible ideas of her own
Purpetua is compassionate, intelligent, and idealistic. she tries to meet others where they are and connect with them whenever she can. her priorities are her friends and their health, as well as love, praise, and the truth! she has no interest in fame, wealth, or power - she's very pure of heart.
also she and miffy do a lot of dancing around each other sapphically. miffy's constant engagement with evil shit and unethical magic + purpetua's commitment to remaining Moral and Good makes their courtship very interesting lol
the final member of the original party is Anka, who is the character of my good friend @catmanjohnson. Anka is a former pirate who used to intercept and raid Church sea vessels. her original crew sailed on a ship called The Whorlpool, and they disbanded after their captain was killed as the result of a battle. Anka was the one who suggested we name our party 'The Whorlpool'.
Anka is the muscle of the group for sure, and has no problem being the bearer of bad news or causing problems for other people LOL
Anka is confident, aggressive, and EXTREMELY impulsive. she loves drinking and being loud and having a good time (who can blame her!!!). her priorities are her friends, family, and power. things like praise, love, truth, and fame are not major concerns of hers.
also Anka has a necromancer-biochemist now sharing her body who gives her cool powers and nags at her
then there is Cardamum Sartorius (we call her Cardi for short)!! an NPC played by our wonderful dm @whoreofavalon. she is one of the daughters of Saint Sartorius, the leader of the Church of the Broken Wave (the BBEG)
Cardamum originally met the party outside of Leyfall where she pretended to be a nervous young mage who just wanted guidance and safety. she was, in fact, completely intending to betray us and throw Leyfall to the wolves, but our DM said that we treated her so kindly and patiently that they couldn't bear to have her betray us (': so she's part of the party now yaaaay!
Cardi is kind, thoughtful, and far too good for the evil ass family she was born into. she is still trying to figure out who she is in the context of being her own person, but she's doing a great job and we're all rooting for her!! she lets Miffy pick outfits for her also (':
Andymion (also a DMNPC) is technically a member of the Whorlpool too? but he like doesn't come along on our missions or fights or anything so he's not really part of the "party" if that makes sense? Andymion is an intelligent, passionate, generous man who stretches as far as he can to take as many people under his wing as he can. he is well intentioned, and a good person, even if he did break up with his last girlfriend by insisting they move somewhere else together but that she go first, and then sending her a breakup letter via owl once she had settled down. unforgivable.
#the tenth#the tenth asks#miffy asks#ffxiv#reno#purpetua#cardamum#andymion#YAY thanks for the ask!!#sorry this post got so long š

Favourite pieces of Weird Girl media? That uquiz has me Thinking (along with that gothic heroine dress up game, might revisit the concept of a gothic romance I came up with some years back)
any and every alice in wonderland, of course! my all-time beloved.
so weird. this was a show that ran on disney channel in the ā90s. the protagonist, fiona, has paranormal adventures and encounters while traveling all over on her musician momās tour bus and writes about them on her fantastically ā90s webpage. fi is a True Believer and her family and friends largely think sheās a lunatic. her father died under Mysterious Paranormal Circumstances that haunt and vex her. this show made me who i am today and as my rewatch last fall can confirm - a lot of the scary stuff holds up!
speaking of cute and spooky disney Weird Girl properties: gravity falls and halloweentown. on any show besides GF i think mabel pines would have been a total joke, but the show loves her SO MUCH and SO DO I. (it helps, i think, that a lot of her was inspired by the creator ās real-life sister.) halloweentown gets extra points from me for not being one of those annoying Magical World stories where the protagonist gets kicked back to her boring, ordinary life with extreme prejudice in the end.
panās labyrinth. for the most discerning and sensitive Weird Girls, and those who also got into trouble for putting strange and occult items around the house as a child.
coraline. ESPECIALLY the book. the movie is cute and fine but has absolutely nothing on the book for spookiness and strangeness.
labyrinth. a classic, obviously.
the secret garden. give a listen to the marsha norman and lucy simon musical adaptation, too, which comes not only with all of the Weird Girl delights of the novel - āthe girl i mean to beā is a Weird Girl anthem - but bonus Tragic Gothic Romance for the adult characters!
emily of new moon. i know that anne shirley is many peopleās go-to LMM-written Weird Girl. these are people who have not yet met emily byrd starr.
true grit. the 2010 one. now, mattie ross is a little different to the others on this list, but this American West subspecies of Weird Girl checks out.
a series of unfortunate events. another one i do not see cited often as Weird Girl media, which is a slight on everything violet and sunny (and isadora and fiona, for that matter) have done for us.
and a few honorable mentions for Weird Girls who are slightly older than the typical and/or not main characters of their media, but nevertheless were formative and inspirational to me as a Weird Girl-Child:
christine daaƩ; katrina van tassel in the tim burton sleepy hollow; and luna lovegood who deserved better even before HP went radioactive.

Audios that make tough listeners soft are incredible. There is no denying this fact! Iām not great at showing emotion or asking for help in real situations, so to have listeners like Honey, Darlinā, or ironically enough another reckless werewolf with a healer vampire boyfriend in Extrovert Edās Reckless Transfusion (that Iām currently listening to for the 3/4 time. Iāll put a link for the playlist at the bottom.) makes my heart warm. And makes me realize I want more sweet vampire bf x tough werewolf (preferably, but obviously not required) gf.
Especially when the speaker hugs them and says things like āyou donāt have to be strong with meā, āItās ok to let goā, or they would do anything to keep the listener safe and that they feel safe in return. It helps the real listeners (not listener character) who are like that. It can show us there can be people who will love them and show them they are worthy of receiving the love, support, and affection they have a hard time showing even when they feel it. Those literally leave me in tears, because I have been that way my whole life and I donāt know how to stop. Being open scares me. I canāt help it. I am trying though.
As many people in my life know, I donāt talk to you unless I am truly comfortable doing so. I can and will talk to someone if I need to, but I can only joke with or open up to those I feel connected with in some way. Online, most of the time, I can talk up a storm if itās something I know, am interested in, or if itās something like this, but irl. š¤
I love that there are those VAs who realize there are people who need to hear these things. Heck that they themselves may need to hear them. š« to them.
Thanks for coming to my ramble. Again those who know my posts know that I can start out writing a single sentence and end up with a chapter. Making a post like this is scaring me, but Iām doing it anyway.
āš»
Seriously! Check out this š playlist! It is incredible! š If you like Sam and Darlinā youāll love this series too! I canāt remember which I found first, but both are wonderful and Ed is fantastic!!

Tell me about your ocs (all the details please)
sure! not sure how much i can say in one tumblr post, but iāll give it a try!! thanks for the ask <3
elenia: you were there for her creation, so i think you already know who she is. sheās nice, funny, has a tendency of avoiding her problems, and would have MANY hobbies in the modern world (my girl is made for scrap-booking and crochet and rock-climbing and hiking. etc)
you originally came up with calypso, eleniaās gf, so it feels a bit weird claiming sheās my oc. you know callie.
bailey, conner and fir, i came up with when playing around with picrews, and they started out as pretty basic moulds, stereotypes that didnāt really last long. their personalities and dynamics has changed since, but originally there was:
bailey: a pretty, slightly taller than average black girl, with braids in fancy styles, who was sweet, smart, studious. a bit stubborn sometimes, and besties with
conner, who was basically a stereotypical nerdy best friend. iāve toyed with his backstory since, and although he was always a main character, i think heās less sidelined now.
bailey was going to have a sort of strangers-to-friends-to-lovers romance with fir, who was like. the hot jock character. iāve played around with the bailey-fir-conner dynamic a lot since then, so while fir is still kinda the most popular of the trio, theyāre much closer friends.
bailey now is more flexible, clever. sheās thoughtful and kind, especially to those she cares about. one of her biggest flaws is her apathy to things she doesnāt care about.
conner is and has always been aro-ace, funny, and attention-seeking. heās a fantastic actor, and overall very strategic (eg what he does in this ask).
fir is, for the most part, just your average sporty high school guy. heās hot and friendly, and on the [insert popular sport] team. heās bi, heās got pretty good grades, and is very much a perfectionist. iāve been very inconsistent with his siblings, but he has an older sister and perhaps a younger brother. and wings. fir has wings
the trio has been together since middle school, and are very close to each other. iāve experimented with bailey and fir romantically, but i donāt think i want it to happen, to be honest. theyād maybe hook up once or twice, but itās never a thing.
on the whole, the trio are very lighthearted, #besties, hanging out and playing around, but theyāve also seen and supported each other at their worst.
baileyās held a shaking fir in her arms in the middle of a breakdown, she and fir have let conner be frustrated by his parents, letting him snap at them until he stops and apologises, and they take his iām sorry and accept it. conner has bought tubs of ice cream for bailey and sat on the couch with her as she cries over a breakup, and heās made her laugh through it.
so when i started writing the trio, i wanted some other characters too, and thatās where ariae came from.
ariae is probably my favourite oc, partly because sheās so chaotic to talk about. yeah sheās a mermaid. yeah sheās in a wheelchair cause legs are. not working. yeah sheās aromantic. yeah she sleeps around cause itās fun. yeah sheās gorgeous. yeah she probably helped conner figure out his identity.
her dynamic with the trio is more of a casual friend, probably closest to conner out of all of them. sheās probably participated in one of his drama things for the fun of it.
and thatās it! thanks for listening to my ted talk, hope you enjoyed :D
if you want some further reading, here are already answered asks about their appearance, fatal flaws, and songs i relate to them, plus you can find more about them by searching for the āasksā tag on my blog, where most of the asks are about them. feel free to reblog those <3

The final season of Ted Lasso wasn't good
Long Post Warning
In my opinion of course, it was just wasn't very good and the finale was bad.
They didn't know what to do with Keeley. Her friend, Shandy, didn't add anything. Her relationship with Jack was stupid. Jack fucking with Keeley's business didn't matter because it was resolved in one episode thanks to Rebecca. Then they decided to make the love triangle a thing again. We'll come back to that later.
Nate lmao you can forgive people. They don't need to bend the knee or buy you flowers for you to forgive them or to prove they are worthy of forgiveness. All they need to do is show they've changed, grown, and learned from their mistakes. The problem with Nate is not that they ALL forgave his slimy ass. The problem is we never see the change. He cries to his dad, he gets a gf, he realizes Rupert is an asshole. We spend no time with Nate being worthy of forgiveness to THE RICHMOND TEAM. He gets the girl and he's cured of his asshole-ness. The girl in question btw? Bland. No personality, we don't know why they like each other. The end.
Sam and Zava. Nonsense. Colin's storyline was cool. I like that he didn't want to be an out player because he didn't want to be the spokesperson for that or for that to be his main identity. A good amount of time was spent on that story and I liked it (see I can like things) but the same can't be said for Sam and Zava. They gave Sam a racism storyline which resulted in his restaurant getting vandalized and the end. No, wait, I'm sorry! Sam is gonna keep shattered glass in the restaurant as a reminder of the criminal act because... believe??? Never mind that could injure the guests, we're an inspirational show people we gotta keep inspiring! All Zava did was get Jamie to want to be better. That's it. So much of Zava should have been cut, oh my god.
Ted. Who? Barely in the final season. Apparently has had panic attacks since his father passed away and his mom knew and just ignored them? Episode 3 (I think) Ted reached for alcohol and we just skated past that. I have no idea how Ted is doing lmao if he's "obviously" doing well, I couldn't tell you how he got there. We got so many fucking shots of his therapist during the finale. More than we did the entirety of season 3. Oh well I guess hope he's happier back home
Maybe I'm being dramatic but Beard and his gfs relationship came off super toxic but they're married now so who cares I guess
Rebecca spent the whole show obsessed with Rupert and when we finally got away from that, surprise! She wants kids. Okay... sure. It's not easy to get over a man you loved who treated you like shit and who you felt robbed you of so many years. I'm not saying she should have gotten over it quicker. I just feel disappointed this was her whole story. There could have been so much more for Rebecca but instead all we got was her getting back at her ex and finding a new man on a boat and kids and blah blah blah
Roy and Jamie. My favorite part of the season. Jamie's arc was excellent and the actor did a fantastic job. Brett Goldstein is also great and has been at this acting/writing thing since 2005! I am so happy he finally got this huge show. Roy is such a cool fucking character. Too bad they went to shit in ONE EPISODE. Okay, I'm being a bit dramatic, I'm glad Roy went to therapy in the end there but that bar scene irritated me. - Actually we fucked last month. - Well that video was sent to me! What the fuck??? Gross gross gross. They put Keeley back in the love triangle and then gave no real resolution? She chose herself? Okay. Can we get a scene of her realizing both these dudes need to work on themselves and she doesn't want either of them ever again or? No? We're just gonna shut the door? Oh okay.
Overall, I'm just disappointed. I know no one will read this but Ted Lasso was a comfort show for me at one point. It premiered in 2020 when we all needed something wholesome and funny. Shame it couldn't stick the landing for me.

16 17 and 24 for the Choose Violence asks if you haven't answered them already
Oooh good choices!
16. You can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterisation, trope, headcanon, etc)
One of the reasons I love fantasy is because I adore all things fantastical. The Sandman speaks to my soul with its dark fantasy and magical stories and interesting non human characters. So I have never been able to really understand when fans take those characters and put them into an alternate universe where they are human, with no magic involved, working in cofffee shops or as high school teachers. I'm can't get into these types of fanfic tropes no matter how interesting the premise may be. That being said I applaud anyone who can take a character called "Dream" and "Morpheus" and make him a normal human. I love seeing fans call him "Murphy" and figure out how his spookier and clearly supernatural traits can be converted to weird human traits. I also love how autistic fans find representation in him. I may not be interested in such tropes, but I love that fans are creative enough to transform imo a super difficult character and see beauty in mundane ordinary human life.
17. There should be more of this type of fic/art
LUCIENNE X GAULT PLEEEEAAAAAASSSSE
I love all the creativity in this fandom, i love all the Dreamling fic writers and artists and I am very much one of you with my obsessive Dreamling brain being unrelenting. But I would love to see more of Lucienne and Gault tentatively exploring a new relationship in the Dreaming.
I wish I was a talented artist or could devote more time to attempting fic writing (perhaps I'll attempt some drabbles for different rarer ships but don't hold me to anything. I get huge anxiety with fic writing and put too much pressure on myself).
24. Topic that brings up the most rancid discourse
You know what I'm actually struggling with this one. Sandman fandom has been amazing. I could list a dozen different topics for Supernatural, or Our Flag Means Death, but I honestly haven't seen any actual "discourse" in Sandman fandom (maybe because I quit twitter before I ever got into the fandom so haven't seen what its like over there? Lol).
I know there are people who get annoyed about the popularity of Dreamling - which is fair because its huge, but I think everyone is being really respectful. I did see some comments anticipating that Dreamling shippers may start hating on canonical love interests like Thessaly or Hob's girlfriends Audrey and Gwen. Well Thessaly deserves the hate, but not for being a love interest and hopefully anyone with critical thinking skills would know that. And Hob's gfs arent in the show yet but when they are I'm hoping that fandom won't go all 2014 on them. From what I've experienced so far I doubt they will.
Doing this thing with a positive twist:

Uh kinda datv spoilers here cause I need to be excited and my gf doesn't appreciate my enthusiasm.
I'll probably always save Terviso because, measured up to Dock Tock, it has distinctly less defenses.
This game is weirdly long and short... like, it's shallow and relies heavily on big lore reveals so it's alot but it's also like... we're barely tipping our toes in it. Everything happens so quickly it's kind of a 'blink and you'll miss it' but trying to build up your companions relationships takes so long... idk maybe it's been too long since I marinated in a bioware game.
I do feel cheated (which is cheapening the story for me) over the lack of carry-over from the previous games. Sure, the characters from Origins outta be old fuckers by now but I still wanna see the things I worked hard for to be the big, notable, in-universe events they were! Sure it's to encourage new comers to join the franchise but they could've done a cool artsy narrative portion at the start to introduce newcomers and provide an in-game section to shape your world without needing the keep. Kinda like an interactive film. It doesn't help that, in this game, they're tying off so many loose ends and big mysteries that they aren't gonna have much left to build future games off of.
Also am I a freak for wanting a more casual, longer winded dragon age game where I actually get to experience my character and companions building lives around each other? I'm craving for some hard slice-of-life from fantasy games lately and idk if that's my biological clock or what.
Oh yeah, and I kinda noticed something about the four races which ties into the revelations from solas and harding in datv so... yeah, it'll be the last portion of this rambling so skip it if you don't want anymore kinda-spoilers.
So, each of the four races can be represented by elemental affinities that likely hint at their origins. With lyrium being the blood of the titans, and the titans being stone, then dwarves are earth. Then we learn that the elves are spirits made solid by the stone, making them air. We've already assumed the qunari to be descended from dragons, and even the qun is enough to say they're fire as fire is also the heart and body and the qun involves a lot of self-discipline and training of the body. So that leaves humans with water, ever flowing and can find a place to fit in almost anywhere. Makes you wonder if dragon age will ever tackle the mysteries of the ocean or any nations far beyond the waters of thedas. Maybe there'll be Leviathans.
Edit to add: i just miss my boy cole, i fucking loved him and wished we could kinda romance him... also when can we have an mc who isn't immortal or is possessed or something fantastical???

|| UNPROMPTED;; Anonymous asked: opals gf is in fort.nite yay
// Yessss! I saw! I'm so excited. <3 Of course, guns don't really work in the avatar universe. But I've been an avid fort.nite player since Chapter 1 season 3. Andddd they've been going CRAZY with crossovers since Brie Larson joined and RUINED the character Paradigm. Ruined the entire story tbh. And yes, there was a story in fort. IT WAS A FANTASTIC STORY. We would get weekly story updates and quests for the story. We would get character voice lines and get to know the characters. Everything was linear. And now, there's so many crossovers. There's no story. At least my friends and I- who have been playing the same amount of time- we can't find the story. Each season has their own story. Nothing's really linear anymore. It's heartbreaking. It's a million dollar game. Maybe more. I don't know. I'm terrible with numbers. I have dyscalculia. Like, the last we heard of the seven, was the last time the story made sense. I hope that things get back on track at some point. Because I miss my reoccurring favourites like The Scientist. The Seven in general. It's been confirmed that they'll be doing a dis.ney crossover. Which, Marvel they have done many times before. But if we go deeper into the other dis,ney stuff... What the heck. Imo, there are too many crossovers. I'm excited for Korra. I am. But another part of me can't make sense of how she would fit into the lore. At least what's left of it. Like, I can't even tell you what the last 5-6 seasons were about. Again, I hope that they focus on the storyline that was present through chapter 1 to what...early chapter 4? or something like that. I keep playing despite the game having no story.... trying to figure out the story??? I think??? there's a new head writer? Because Mean Mr.Mustard started off great. But something along the end of his era went horribly wrong. I don't know what it is. But I hope there's a positive change for the game.

"i wonder why people who read lover loser were mostly in favor of gyu while those who read yamqn are mostly in favor of tyun"
Another anon has already nailed the main reason head on, so I won't explain it much, but yeah... it's the power dynamics. Being around a "insane" person is a thing, being around a insane person with power is a completely different thing. The amount of power king gyu has makes him seem 10x more threatening. With lvls, escaping him or defending yourself from him if he was to become too dangerous feels possible, not to mention that him being submissive to the core make him seem easier to control in general (you almost pity him from how miserable this fucker presents himself as). With yrmqn, he is literally above the law, he can do a n y t h i n g he wants to you and he will cause no one can stop him.
Another thing that I think might influence is the fantasy element in yrmqn. Because the furtherer away from realism the setting of the story goes, the more absurd and grandiose everything that happen within it looks like as well. Loser gyu is more easily acceptable because at first he seems like someone you could actually come across in you life, like many of us have experienced at least one cute seemingly harmless creep simping real hard for us, that happens. But to have a mini royal creep decide to keep you as his emotional support pet throughout childhood and then later in life rape you, assassinate half of his family, incriminate his wife and almost literally set his whole country on fire in a war, just to keep you around... it's flabbergasting, the red flag just look so fantastically huge it's impossible not to be weary of him. And in the midst of all the fantastical elements and characters in yrmqn, tyun ends up coming across as the most grounded one, the most down to earth and reasonable one - if on top of that you consider that he is actually punished on the long run for this way of being, readers may end up siding with him for a mix of familiarity and pity.
Don't get me wrong, I actually like both characters. I really do. I enjoy king gyu for the sheer extravagant absurdity of his obsession and devotion. But I also prefer Loser Gyu. Simply because he actually reminds of how my fiancĆ© was when we first met š (but my fiance realized how fucked up he was early on in the relationship, started therapy, started taking proper meds, let go of his addictions, rekindled his relationship with his family, started taking better care of his physical health, finished his studies, got a good honest job... and now he is a much better person).
~ā”anon
yeah that makes a lot of sense. yamqn gyu just feels so oppressive and inescapable. in LL oc appears to hold all the power which is actually gyu's tactic. he purposefully represents himself as harmless and weak so oc wouldn't be wary of him
that's an intruiging point, but wouldn't you say LL gyu is more menacing because of the realism? like yamqn being a fantasy land makes the threat seem like real and palpable. but the rest of it yeah he has done way crazier things than LL gyu (though LL gyu secretly filmed oc, tried to coerce her into being his gf and ruining her engagement, leaked sex tape of them together and caused her family to disown her...) but i meant that people already didn't like gyu even before most of that stuff
yeah tyun is the much more sympathetic character, perhaps because of his flaws and inner turmoil
wait wait wait that kind of change is actually possible? like one can go from a being a toxic person to fixing their life up like that? man i'm so happy for you but i'm also shocked.

i wanted to make a build representing both rams huge dual rattles and her weird sorta-magic attacks. this was for a full vanilla coop play w @doedipus. it evolved a lot over the play:
i started w the dual blades dex build for theming, then quickly shifted to solo guts sword. i equipped the Slamp equivalent move (lion claw?) and used that a lot. i also had the staff that does sword spells good, tho it was mostly for decoration and Starlight. staggering and crushing, then. of course i just wore whatever cute cape fit was around, and cat ears. not many good pics of this time, except for this good one of ram and her girlfriend kaonohi wooing rya in a field
oh and here's a closeup of ram waking up in a coffin. avg ram day
finally we found the weapon id planned this whole thing around, the wing of astel, and ram's gf gave her an extra, so she could dual wield! rly rly love dual blades combat, and the funny galaxy explosion felt ondo-like. tried different clothes around this time, too, the night maiden headpiece (like rammy hat) and that pretty dress or the crowfeather cape... (and kaonohi found her fav kig! aaaaa >u<)
we went the route of madness bc it's the only valid ending, and i wound up in my endgame build w the moon sword and enough mana to shoot Literal Calvados. both worked fantastically. i used finger maiden hat and roderika outfit, here at the end. omg a plant!?
anyway it ruled, using a character as basis for build and like, slightly modifying the gameplan as you go. the infinite rerolls thing fucking rules, and so does my cool blood-kig girlfriend. play elden ring. play elden ring seamless coop. it's good. mortobato.
can you show the ramlethal cosplay build? rly interested to see
god im honestly so excited you asked. yes :3 lemme rb so i can format it properly lol
#bloodborne#ok so i wish a tiny bit i had a proper eldy tag. mb ill fix that one day when i have time#thx babe btw this was the most fun ever#so many other good photos. mb ill share sometime#asks#probably

Request by @generouspuppypuppy
BF!Joseph Quinn x GF!plus size reader/actress
If you want to read my other work you can find it HERE
Warnings: body shaming, language, fluff and sexual implications
Not proof read and no word count
Summary: being a plus size actress is hard. But that heavens for Jamie and Joseph
š¤š
It all started when you landed a role as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray the musical on Broadway when you were 18. Ever since then, you were always cast as the chubby comedic relief. Sitcom after sitcom. Comedy after comedy movie. You grew tired of playing the same character. So when the chance came for a serious dramatic role you jumped at it.
It was a remake of the 1947 movie Possessed. With the roles reversed. With Joseph taking on the role of Joan Crawford. Yup that's right. Joseph fucking Quinn. It was a new role that he was interested in playing because it was a movie his mom loved. So he was excited about it. You were so nervous acting beside him. Like common, one of the most beautiful and well known men in the world of acting and modeling working with someone who was not at all as talented as him. Or so you thought.
You were actually really good. Being in musicals was your absolute favorite. You knew you could sing. And after so many breathing and vocal lessons you mainly auditioned for Broadway. However you were always rejected because of your figure. So finally giving up on being a star in New York you settled in LA.
...
It was the first table reading and you were there early. Being the only one in the room you started to sing 'Thank you for the music' from Mamma Mia! You made a cup of tea and grabbed an apple from the small refreshment table in the corner of the room.
"What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music. For giving it to me
So I say thank you for the music. For giving it to me"
"WOW! Your voice is fantastic."
You jumped and spilled your tea all over the table. You quickly looked over your shoulder and looked back down trying to clean up the spill. Your eyes widen. Joseph Quinn just walked in and complemented your singing.
" Oh I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." He said coming to you to help you clean.
" umm it's quite alright. I just thought I was alone."
" Well I'm still sorry. Here let me make you another. What was it that you were about to have?"
" T-tea"
" Right." He said grabbing a new cup and poured water in.
You felt faint so you decided to sit down at the front of the large table.
" milk or lemon?" He asked
"Uhh that would depend on the tea." You felt like such an idiot for not telling him which one you liked.
He chuckled at your quote of the DaVinci code movie. "Of course. I made you Earl grey."
" Then definitely lemon."
He came and set down the tea in front of you.
"Thank you." You said glancing at him. You just barely caught his smile.
" He pulled out the chair next to you to sit. " I'm Joe Quinn."
You finally turned your face to look at him. God he was so pretty. " Hi. I'm y/n l/n."
You looked away and smiled out of straight nervousness and shyness.
"Wait. I know you. Jamie and I saw you at Hollywood Pantages Theatre. You were Mrs. Lovett."
" Oh you saw that? What day?" You prayed to the gods that he wasn't there.
" uhh opening night."
FUCK!
"Uhh I just have to say. You played off that fall really well. Umm but the second one...it looked like it hurt."
OH MY GOD!
Your face felt hot and you suddenly felt nauseous.
" Are you okay?"
You cleared your throat and took a sip of the tea burning the shit out of your tongue. You leaned back in the chair too far and fell backwards.
" Oh shit! Are you alright?" Joe got up to help you to your feet.
"y-yeah. Just accident prone.... surprised I'm still alive to be honest. I uhh I have to pee."
Jesus Christ what the fuck?!
He chuckled.
" Sorry to over share. I'm just gonna go." You quickly left before he could say anything.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid. God you have to be the most awkward person alive." You said you yourself washing your hands.
Sure you've met other celebrities before. But you hadn't been pinning for them like you had for Joseph. Ever since you saw him attending LAMDA. You went there for a visit to check out schools for performing arts. You went to a play the school put on. Joseph's role was Petruccio, in Taming Of The Shrew. This was way before he was in TV shows. He did a lot of shorts around this time. So as you sat there watching the show. You couldn't help but crush on the beautiful boy with the brown eyes.
It's been years since then. Unfortunately you did forget about him. Well until you saw the movie Hoard. You were really good at recognizing faces but names, not so much. You had a weird thing about eyebrows. You could always remember certain people by their eyebrows. And Joseph was no different. But just to make sure. You googled the cast and when you saw his picture you knew. He was that tall scrawny guy from London. But not so scrawny anymore.
Once you collect yourself, you went back into the reading room and of course there were people now in there. You had hoped to have just another minute alone and tell him that you were looking forward to working with him. But your luck just ran out. And to top it all off, there was a pretty woman now sitting in your seat. You assumed it was the lady who was playing the part of the neighbor Joe's character was obsessed with. Because you didn't get that role. You got the role of playing Joe's wealthy wife instead. Which was awesome because at least you guys had a few good scenes together.
You recognize her from somewhere but couldn't put your finger on where. You met Joe's gaze as he mouthed an 'I'm sorry'. You gave him a quick smile and found a seat next to an older gentleman.
Last shift. She was in that.
You thought, finally figuring out what you saw that woman next to Joe was in. You looked around the room and didn't really recognize anyone except Tracey Walter. The man sitting next to you. He was to play the part of the psychiatrist. You knew him because your best friend loved Conan the Destroyer. And he was the comic relief in that.
You guys took a lunch break after a while. You normally went on diets before every role, to try to lose weight. But you always gave up. So in order to not eat so much you smoked. You tried not to do it so much cuz it could ruin your voice. But today was a day and you had 2. When you lit the second one Joe joined you.
"You're doing great in there." He nodded towards the building.
You gave him a small smile." Thank you. You're doing great as well."
"Hey so I like to get up super early and go over lines a few times before I try them in front of the camera. I was wondering if you would want to come to my trailer on Friday and go over our scene?"
" Yeah I do that too. The early bird gets the worm type of gal."
Gal?
" Great! I uhh-"
" Joe, come have lunch over here."
You both looked over to the tables next to the food truck. And that girl was there
" In a minute." He half shouted. " Sorry. I was just going to ask if you want to have lunch with us?"
" Umm no thank you. I'm all set." You said lifting you cigarette.
" Are you sure? I heard they have the best buffalo chicken Mac and cheese."
" Yeah no. Dairy makes me gassy." You said without actually thinking.
He laughed. " a'right."
Oh my fucking God!
" Umm yeah sorry. Again..foot in mouth" you said so embarrassed.
" Don be sorry. It's nice having someone say exactly what they are think." He grinned.
You blushed.
" Well if you change your mind. Just come over."
You nodded and watching him walk over to the costar who stole your seat. When he glanced back you looked away. God how could someone so pretty exist.
...
That Friday you were out of it. It was about 5 in the morning and you were standing outside of his trailer. You had chained smoked all the way there. You had brought some donuts and coffees. You didn't know if he liked coffee but you figured he might need one, being up so early. You saw a lights and some classical music playing.
Symphony no. 40 in G minor. You put the donuts and coffees down, because you had a sudden urge to dance. You started mimicking a conductor. With your hands rocking. But then your dancing turned into doing the Reebok. It was totally not the right way to dance to classical but it was fun. As you circled around you started doing the Cabbage patch.
But you stopped dead when you heard a laugh. You turned around towards the trailer and of course Joe was standing there. You didn't know what to say. You could have just die right there. But all of a sudden he climbed out and started to do the Bart Simpson. Which was totally off beat. You didn't care though. You both continued to dance, moving closer and closer together. When the song was over you both were left in a fit of giggles.
...
You and Joe became fast friends after that. He introduced you Jamie Campbell Bower about a month after filming started. You had been his fan since Camelot. For some odd reason, they always wanted to hang out with you. You weren't going to complain though. You only had one friend in LA and she had just passed away from a car accident. So it was nice to have people to hang out with. She would have loved these guys.
One night a few weeks later you, Joe, and Jamie were out for a drive. And you had control of the aux. So being a lover of music. You played one of your favorite song. You didn't know if they would like it or not. But whatever. It was happening. They were gonna listen to it whether they liked it or not.
As the song started, you could feel the guys giving you weird looks. You just beamed and started to sing As long as you love me by the Backstreet Boys. To your surprise Jamie's voice came out of nowhere. He was singing too. You guys both looked over to Joe and he was grinning. You were driving so you couldn't looked at him that long but you could nudge him. He laughed. Then he did it. He started singing the chorus. It was so fantastic. The three of you singing. You and Jamie singing the back up vocals when Joe took the lead. You could swear that was the moment you fell in love with Joe. How he was so into it. He was too cute for words.
After the song was over you pulled up to your destination. You were taking them to a spot up on a hill. You're friend had shown you when you first came to LA. It was a view of Rosemead and downtown. The small trek up the large hill was a bit harder than you remembered. But the guys did it without any problems. You had slipped and almost fell when Joe caught you. His large hands on your waist kept you from falling backwards. You guys stood there for a moment before you quickly apologized and kept going. His hands on you were definitely going to be apart of your dreams tonight.
Finally at the top all of you looked in aww. It was such a beautiful sight. The lights from the city looked like stars.
"Hey love, did I hear you were interested in audition for The Greatest Showman going on at The Music Center?"
You looked at Jamie. " Yeah. But Im not sure if I'll be good enough for the part."
" What?! Are you crazy? You are so good. It's insane." Joe said almost shouting.
You gave him a nervous smile and laugh.
"What song were you thinking of trying?"
You looked away from Jamie completely worried about the song you chose. Sure other people would pick the same so you thought if you sang it as best as you could then you would stand out.
" Never Enough."
" Really?" They guys said at the same time.
" Yup. It's a good one."
" Do it." Joe said wide eyed and all smiles
" Yeah come on love do it. And then we can give you a honest answer if you should do it or not."
" Guys...No."
" Common!" They said together.
" Guys."
" No no. This is happening." Jamie sat down on the ground and looked up at you.
You figured Joe noticed how nervous you were when he came and held your hand.
" It's ok babe. You are really good. Now show us how good." He kissed your cheek and went to sit next to Jamie.
Babe?
Great how were you suppose to do this now? Your face fell hot and you had butterflies in your stomach when he kissed you. You took a deep slow breath in and out.
" Okay can one of you play the instrumental. It helps me keep in time."
Jamie pulled out his phone and searched. You looked at Joe who had a big infectious smile. You looked down at the ground and bit your lip so he would catch you smiling too.
As soon as your heard the opening you cleared your throat. You took a few steps back from them because you didn't want to hurt their ears from the high notes. You sighed before begin.
"I'm trying to hold my breath
Let it stay this way
Can't let this moment end
You set off a dream in me
Getting louder now
Can you hear it echoing?
Take my hand
Will you share this with me?
'Cause darling, without you...
All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it'll
Never be enough
Never be enough
For me
Never, never
Never, never
Never, for me
For me
Never enough
Never enough
Never enough
For me
For me
For me
All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it'll
Never be enough
Never be enough
For me
Never, never
Never, never
Never, for me
For me
Never enough
Never, never
Never enough
Never, never
Never enough
For me
For me
For meeeeeeeee
For me"
Your chest was heaving. You looked at the guys and their mouths were open in aww.
" Good?" You said softly.
They both jumped up and applauded whooping.
You smiled never taken your eyes off of Joe.
"Bravo babe. Bravo."
There it is again
You were so happy they liked it. After you dropped of Jamie home you were taking Joe back to his trailer on set. While you sat in the car he was praising you. Telling you that you should definitely go for the part. There was this moment where he looked like he wanted to kiss you. It was quiet for a minute before he asked something you never thought he would ask. He asked you out to dinner. You hesitated to answer only because you were trying not to freak out. But you said yes. Like how could you not?
Dinner was great. He was crazy shy to others but not with you. He was very timid at first but when got him out of his shell, he was outrageously silly and such a dork. The night ended with a kiss on the cheek. You had hoped it would have been more, but Joe was a very well mannered and respectable man. He kissed your knuckle before dropping you off at your studio apartment.
Many "dates" were like this. You guys had an amazing time together. But afterwards it always ended up with you alone in bed. However, things had changed when the scene where you and Joe got together in the movie. You guys had to share a passionate kiss with him. To be completely honest, you didn't want to kiss him. He had just finished a scene with the girl from before. And in that seen they went skinny dipping and had sex. Even though it was just an act. Seeing them kiss hurt. Besides you didn't want your first kiss with him to be on camera. Dread filled your mind as the seconds ticked away.
Joe found you in make up. He sat next to you holding your hand.
"Nervous?"
" Always." You sighed
He brought your hand up to his mouth kissing it gently.
" I'm sorry babe. I was really hoping we would have kissed before this."
You turned to look at him. The beauty tech got the hint. And she left you two alone. As soon as she was out of ear shot you spoke.
" You wanted to kiss me before?"
He looked away from you down to your hand. " yes" he said shyly.
Your heart pounding in your chest. You had sudden cotton mouth. You swallowed harshly.
" Kiss me."
His gaze found yours again. " Are you sure?"
" Umm well yes. We can just rehearsal it now. So it won't be so awkward when we shoot."
" Oh" he frowned.
Wait what?
"Joe. You wanted to rehearse this right?"
" Erm..."
" Oooh. I see. I'm sorry I -I didn't know. I thought were were just friends."
" Is that all you want to be?"
His question staggered you.
" If you don't want to be more. That's fine. I just thought we hit it off pretty well."
" umm no I'm just surprised that's all."
" What are you surprised about? Can't you tell that I like you."
" Uhh well I just thought you were being nice."
He scoffed.
" well I thought Juliana was more of your type. You guys seem to have the chemistry."
" I have more in common with a rock y/n"
You laughed.
" Seriously. She only cares about herself. She has the worst sense of humor. She only tells me things she thinks I want to hear. You on the other hand, are very beautiful, and funny as hell. You're never afraid to be genuine. Might I say that you are extremely talented as well. I like you a lot."
" I uhh don't know what to say."
" Do you like me too?"
You nodded biting your lip.
"Well that settles it. Your my girlfriend now." He smirked
" oh am I?"
" Yes. Absolutely!"
...
When the movie came out you were pummeled with hate comments. It seems that Joe's fans absolutely hate you. For what? Being a plus size love interest. But now that you two were dating it just got worse. There was so much body shaming, that you cried so much. When you were with Joe it was fine because you were never on your phone. But the moment you were alone you would read the stupid comments. Even though your fans were so kind, their love was hidden by the outrageous amount of hate.
You were half laying half sitting on your couch while Joe was in the kitchen in your apartment. He was making dinner for you and you were scrolling through Twitter. It was a good thing that he had his people keep up with all his social media or else he would have been furious.
Someone made a rude comment about how you should sit at a table instead of a booth once when you a Joe went to dinner. The waiter mumbled under his breath about how sorry he felt for the chair. You didn't hear it, but Joe did and he went off. You were able to calm him down enough to just leave. Now you guys either ordered take out or you guys would cook. But today Joe offered to cook because you had a long day at rehearsals for The Greatest Showman. You didn't get the part you wanted but at least you got one.
You sat there reading. Your heart broke at the words. These people didn't even know you. But yet acted like you were the devil. God forbid Joe find someone to be with that actually makes him happy. Instead of some damn super model.
Joe must have noticed how you were when he came and laid on you. His face buried into your neck. He blew raspberries into your skin tickling you. He lifted his head to give you kisses all over your face.
He had missed you so much. He was gone for a while working when he finally came back to LA to see his girl. The long distance relationship was hard for him. But he loved you. So he was planning to make this work. Whatever it took, he would do it.
Once he stopped being silly he kissed you properly. The moment you felt that he wanted sex you felt so uneasy about your body. Joe never made you feel like he didn't love it. But he had never seen you naked yet. You wanted him to. That's for sure. It's just that he was away a lot and you were work too. But this time there was no excuse to not to. He was here for a while and he was staying with you. Sure things got hot and heavy before but it never lead to the big O.
He knew something was wrong but he didn't know what. So he opted to kissing you the whole night.
He talked to Jamie about it the next day. Since you and Jamie lived in the same city, you guys became rather close. In a platonic type of way.
Joe went to visit him and asked what was wrong with you. He said that your were feeling insecure about your body. Joe didn't know why. You were an absolute dream to him. He wanted to talk about it with you but he was afraid of saying the wrong thing.
But Jamie had an idea all on his own. He had asked you to come over to do a boudoir photo shoot. You objected of course but he promised that you wouldn't be completely naked and that Joe would absolutely love them.
You agreed. So one day while Joe was out doing an interview that you knew would take hours, you went to Jamie's. Jamie had the photographer set up in one of his extra rooms. You got dressed or undressed into your skivvies. You went with red lingerie and a red silk robe because Joe said you looked good in red. You would have never done this type of thing in fear that it would get out. But you needed to feel sexy and you wanted Joe to think you were sexy.
The photographer and Jamie really made the shoot fun. You hadn't smiled that much since you and Joe were dancing that one time. The photoshoot took a good 2 hours because Jamie kept distracting you with all his terrible dad jokes. When it was over you went to change. You looked at yourself in the mirror and smiled.
" You are smart and kind. You are beautiful and sexy. And any guy would be lucky to have you."
You were looking for your phone in your coat pocket but it wasn't in there. You went out into the bedroom and searched everywhere for it with no luck. You walked out and that butthead Jamie had it.
" And sent" he said grinned.
Your heart sank. You knew Joe was going to get them. But not while his assistant had his phone. When he did anything for work he would give his phone to them. To answer any calls or messages. This was going to be a disaster.
You went home that night waiting for Joe. When he came in he seemed rather upset
"Joe?"
He didn't say anything. He just grabbed your hand and pulled you to the bed. He stripped off your clothes and laid you down.
"You know my assistant saw the photos."
" I'm so sorry I didn't -"
" I don't like the fact that he saw how gorgeous you are before me." He cut you off and started to undress.
" I-"
" Is this what you want?" He said while taking off his pants and boxer revealing his hard on.
" y-yes"
He grinned" God you're so fuck beautiful. You know that." He said before dipping down to kiss you.
You guys made love for the first time and it was mind blowing. Why you guys waited so long you didn't know? Well you did but still. He spooned you kissing your shoulder after.
" You know. You didn't have to send those. I don't need pictures like that to remind me how sexy you are....I'm gonna keep them though. For when I miss you."
You giggled. " They were more for me anyway."
" What? You need to be reminded that your hot?"
" Some times."
" Well I can do that for you." He said pulling you so that you were on your back. " I can do that right now if you want. And any time you need it."
You raised your brows at his offer. " mmm I would like that."
...
It was a week later when something terrible happened. You didn't know what happened since it was opening night. Joe and Jamie were in the front row waiting for the show to start when Jamie got a text.
" OH MY GOD...."
" What? What's is it mate?"
Jamie was freaking out. "Where's your phone?"
Joe checked his pockets pulling it out.
Jamie snatched it and looked it over.
" Unlock it please."
" Jamie seriously what the fuck?" He said trying to unlock his phone. " What the hell?"
He tried and tried but he couldn't open it.
"Joe. Someone hacked into your phone."
"How do you know that?"
"Well if you didn't send this, then someone did." Jamie said showing him the TMZ web page.
It was filled with your pictures. Joe eyes watered. He was so angry. He took the phone and scrolled through. The comments were beyond flattering. His anger dissipated. Though he was upset that now the whole world knew what you looked like under your clothes, he was happy to know that you were his. And he was going to make sure you would know how much he loved you.
The curtains opened and Joe saw you side stage with the biggest prettiest smile he had ever seen. You waved and he waved back. He leaned over to whisper to Jamie.
" I'm going to marry that girl"

mie!! since u write such beautiful gorgeous astounding breathtaking life-changing tearjerking fics, do YOU have any good fic recs that you personally love š¤
I do! I have a whole blog of wonderful fics Iāve read (tho I desperately need to update it/reblog the ones in my drafts and tag them) @ackermeun for more if you want because there are many lovely, talented writers; but Iāll list a few of my faves for Levi and Eren below šš
Levi
kiss me more by @vennilavee
Now, I could recommend you anything and everything by Saran and I have no doubt that you would love all of it. Thereās not a single thing in her masterlist that I dislike, she even made me okay with the idea of pegging Levi bye. The entire tbah universe (specifically parental moments one) has a special place in my heart, but recently the perpendicular world has been on my mind, and might be coming for number one. Either way, youāre gonna love it. She writes Levi in his slightly bitchy, kinda needy, implicitly affectionate, true to nature form, and I am so grateful for it. Also, Saran is a comedian.Ā
silver soul by @oi-levi (now posting from @bibblelevi)
I suck at keeping up with series, and, so, naturally, Iām terribly behind on this one, but Iām gonna go ahead and rec the whole thing to you anyway, because I have no doubt that the other chapters are just as great the two Iāve read so far. The way she writes Levi... when I tell you I could wrap myself up in a blanket and binge this whole series, and her entire masterlist, and be very content I mean it; her writing feels warm, thatās the only way I can explain it.Ā
the art of tea composition by @karikarasuno
I donāt remember how or when I found this fic exactly, probably just scrolling through the tag, but I love it. Domestic fluff with Levi, allowing me to pretend Iām a morning person, and just the right kind of smut to go with it. Simple and very, very effective. Iāve reread it a few times by now, no shame.
where youāre meant to be by @deludedimagines
After you read this, I also suggest just going after the whole masterlist. I cannot express how grateful I am to have found this blog PLEASE. Her characterization of Levi is perfect, and something about her prose feels very clean and simple, but elevated and layered at the same time. This one-shot in particular is one of my favorite canonverse pieces, Iām a sucker for a classic injured lover trope.Ā
the ones who matter most by @deludedimagines
Yeah... this shouldnāt be a surprise. Fantastic writing, fluff in canonverse has a special place in my heart because I think it can be really hard to pull off well; itās difficult to balance a sense of softness within the aot universe for the obvious reasons, and getting Leviās caring nature right can be (unfortunately) so hard to find. Good thing people like Sorcha are here. Enjoy more fluff. Also this fic is particularly fantastic to me not just because of the injured lover trope, but because the 104th babies pay a visit and you all know how much I love a good glimpse of reluctant adoptive dad Levi hehe
bullet by @jean-does-not-have-a-horseface
If you canāt tell by now, I love canonverse fluff, tho this fic isnāt fluff in the traditional sense, but I think that makes it all the much better. Perfect depiction of real life shit that would go down in the aot world paired with Leviās need to protect his s/o. Itās fantastic.Ā
the knife by @therealvalkyrie
I didnāt mean to turn this into Mieās Favorite Canon Fics Showcase, but here we are anyway. As much as I love a good injured lover trope (and this does have that hehe), I love a good kickass reader insert, too. Shoutout to Valkyrie for included both in this fic, and Levi being proud of his s/o... well you can imagine how much I liked that bye
danteās inferno by @alrightberries
College au + roommates au with Levi... that should be enough for you to read this lmfao, no but actually itās adorable. Not to mention friends to lovers... if you know me you know how I feel about that, Iāll gobble up every f2l fic until Iām dead and gone. Not to mention thereās a cat and Levi wonāt admit he likes it, or heās jealous of it. Simply cannot go wrong here.Ā
waves know shores by @onwiings
Bro I donāt even like the idea of public sex and Iām not even a fan of water like that but this fic has me wrapped around itās pinky lmfaoooo. Some of the best Levi smut Iāve read and you already know how I feel when Levi and reader have cute interactions with the 104th in fics. Really itās checking every item on my list.Ā
Eren
speed racer by @emeren
Iām pretty sure I found this fic during my midterms last semester, and when I tell you Iām so grateful for it lmaooo. Itās really just a good au, I think it fits Eren (honestly barking at just the concept) and the writing brings it all to life.Ā
under the moonlight by @murmikaa
Iād have to be dumb not to recommend this to you. I love reading longer fics, and if you do, then this will 100% satisfy you. The whole story is great and immersive, not just between Eren and the reader; their relationships with the other characters are really what makes this special imo. Thereās also beach sex, so. Obviously itās good.Ā
untitled.avi by @puredivinity (now @celestidarling)
Naur you must of thought wrong if you thought at least one of Maraās fics wouldnāt be here. Iām obsessed, I think Iāve read it three times minimum. I read all her Eren fics, and you should too. She writes him in such a dreamy way, almost like heās right there and too good to be true that you must be hallucinating. Immaculate.Ā
midnight snacks by @writertitan
Dumb, college-typical antics and fluff with Eren... obviously you know Iām about that. The whole concept is so mundane, but so cute, you canāt help but fall for it because it could be so real!! I love that kinda stuff heheĀ
iām your satellite by @ackerfics
Comparing hand sizes with Eren!! YEAAAAH!! No, okay, but I read the summary and was ready to dive in because... size kink go crazy, but when I tell you I was so blown away to find out that it was not only from Erenās pov, but that he was being a complete simp and down terrible the whole time. Normalize boyfriends being completely fucking in love with their gfs that simple shit like the size of their hand makes them wanna simp even harder!!!!
eren as an ass man by @hznji
Iām dying on the hill that Eren is an ass guy and you should too because itās the objective truth. Fluff, Eren being a complete dog as per usual, Erenās being touchy (I will also die on the hill that heās touchy as fuck and has no concept of personal space) and just in genral snarky but cute banter. Gotta love that.Ā
Jean
tears over beers by @appplepii
When I tell you this is my favorite Jean fic, I mean it. Friends to lovers with hopelessly pining Jean + oblivious reader = everything I could have asked for in a fic, AND itās from Jeanās pov too!!! INCREDIBLE!!! The pining made me yearn, and the smut was so well done, too.Ā
this drabble by @arlerted
Whatever, whatever, WHATEVER!!! I DONāT WANNA TALK ABOUT IT!!! Cal is right, donāt do drugs but... this mf... this imagine.... has been burned into my mind since the first time I fucking read it bye. Callie also writes a bunch of filthy (affectionate <3) fics and drabbles and lewds and you should read them, preferably when youāre alone and with the lights off.Ā
